Discussions about the Entity's realm

Now as someone who actually cares about the lore of this game. I did some digging and started to theorize how Ace and Fengs cosmetics fit into their own lore. Ace Visconti: Now, Ace is a little bit of a tricky one, but from what i can gather is that this was the rise of fame for the Lucky Gambler, this is where things started looking out for him, when he took this trip he made it big, and judg7 comments 232 views last activity

Spirit appears to be dead dismentled body, right? Her limbs are literally flying near each other. And at the same time she is able to leave her physical dead body form and create new one. So, question is, either if she is dead body or some type of ghost, why she able to feel pain from DS and pallet stuns? If she is able to feel pain, she should scream like crazy, cause, like, her arms are cut in7 comments 193 views last activity

Hello everyone! As you know, with each day of the Hallowed Blight event, a new Benedict Entry was posted. I am here to dissect the most interesting parts, and make some educated theories. I'm going to be covering my theories on: The Entity's purpose and properties The final whereabouts of Mr. Baker. The Entity There are some VERY important bits of lore from just the second, October 20,18 comments 581 views last activity

The answer to this question is pretty obvious for the Entity, it's how it drains the survivors. But various snippets from trailers and in-game text make it seem like the survivors enter the trials semi-voluntarily. Why?11 comments 1,001 views last activity

I was hoping for more lore in this event coming from the lanterns but sadly it seems nothing is really telling of what these lanterns are or where they came from.1 comments 982 views last activity

Joeys is obviously one of those old timey cowboy bandannas that the bandits would wear around their faces, but what are Frank, Julie, and Susie's masks made out of? I'm assuming some sort of plastic but Susie's seems to be metal. Anyone have some better details or thoughts on this?10 comments 1,042 views last activity

Time inside the Entity's world doesnt exist, or at least It doesnt work like our idea of time on earth. That means that a killer/survivor who was dragged to the Entity's world in the 1890s could be in the same place and at the same time as a killer/survivor who belonged to the 21st century, right? So... If whoever created the hatch actually managed to escape to the real world... In which decade13 comments 302 views last activity

Hey there Fogfellows, I remember around the time of the Hallowed Blight event there was a lot of talk about more lore coming to the game. They had those little animated cutscene things and I really liked that potential addition. They said they hired people for the purpose of adding more lore/story, such as the journal entries, but then nothing has happened since then. Has there been any men5 comments 252 views last activity

Since @Mikeadatrix made a relationship list for killers, i guess i'll make one for survivors. Dwight Fairfield: Likes to think of himself as a leader of the group, at first he was a coward and would occasionally leave his friends to die as soon as the gates were powered, but now he has become a little bit braver as he spends more time in the realm, he seems to take a strange liking to Laurie14 comments 379 views last activity

Everyone talks about how the nurse was the first killer for the Entity, but I though the Macmillian Estate incident was what summoned/awakened the entity. Wouldn't that make the trapper the first killer, or am I missing something/being misinformed?3 comments 445 views last activity

I have tried twice, where I had the deliverance perk activated. but where I was the last survivor standing, but because I was the last, I died instantly when I was hooked. not getting a chance to use the skill. (and this was my first time on the hook) and in 1 of the cases, the killer didn't seem to know(or maybe knew that I would die by myself) and left me, so if I had been able to use the s13 comments 191 views last activity

I know that there isn't really much story, but I am indeed a huge fan of this game with only a few particular complaints and that is smoothness, toxicity and balance. I'm not saying make an entire new game cause this one isn't balanced, but I am saying make a new Dead by Daylight game for the next generation of consoles or even remaster this one on the next gen. As I said I am a super huge fan and3 comments 151 views last activity

You mentioned in the last podcast that some of the killers interact with each other in the Fog; some are rivals, most are neutral. So i have been trying to grasp this malevolent being for quite some time to the point to where it's become my new obsession. This thing is said to be evil in its purest form, but this thing, from what we have seen seems to only have 3 forms. Where did this being come from? How did it manifest itself? Birth: The only way i think of this existing is similar to the most recent marvel villain Kn44 comments 663 views last activity

Is anyone else a bit disappointed by how shallow/pointless the lore surrounding the Entity is? An all powerful, always in control, unquestioned dominant force we can't possibly understand isn't terribly interesting. It also raises questions like "what's the point" if we know there's no (real) chance of escape. It's not possible to get invested in any story because it's so hopeless, it's just s14 comments 471 views last activity

I have thought about this for a while. I remember the devs saying that the entity recreates what it sees from the real world outside its realm, but doesn't necessarily have an understanding as to what they are. The entity understands concepts like, hope, fear, life, death, and pain. As well as hunger. Yet, it can't separate fiction from reality as seen with the existence of movie characters in th15 comments 211 views last activity

Is there some type of tunnel that leads them to a hole in the ground, leading the survivors out of the tunnel? Is that why the hatch spawns in certain locations and on the bottom floors of some maps? Like I don't see how survivors get to the campfire after escaping, in fact, when I was new to DBD, when I saw a survivor escape through the hatch, I thought they would automatically be sacrificed or14 comments 601 views last activity

The question I’ve had on my mind since Freddy’s release is, are the killers bound to their maps? In canon lore, would the survivors only encounter Michael in Haddonfield? Only encounter the Hillbilly on Coldwind? If so, are certain survivors bound to those maps as well or are they all put through every gauntlet? Seems one way would deny the entity more energy, but the other gives survivors2 comments 192 views last activity

First off for Jeff, "A late-night regular noticed his sketches and asked him to do some artwork for his gang up Mount Ormond. Jeff accepted the challenge and painted a large mural depicting 'the legion'" For me, this is pretty obvious that this is Frank asking him to make a mural for his group of friends. Out of all the characters in the Legion, Susie stand out to me. It seemed like she was only in the Legion because of Julie. My theory is that she doesn’t have many friends because of her shy and naive nature and she mainly followed Julie because Julie wasn’t just her best friend. She was her only friend. She might’ve enjoyed the mischief and thrills with the Legion, but when they were killing that5 comments 1,651 views last activity

I have a theory regarding what's in the golden toolboxes hidden around the maps. I think that each of those toolboxes may contain a gear-sphere. The gear-sphere is a survivor made object that is buried deep in the lore. It symbolizes hope and is speculated to be a way to escape The Entity's realm. I found information on the gear-sphere in a steam group discussion created by some of the developers9 comments 4,591 views last activity

I’ve been thinking a lot about Legion lately. They might well be an “Expy” of Ghostface from the Scream franchise, but as Trapper is to Jason Voorhees, there’s much more to them than that. Or at least enough to keep the copyright lawyers well at bay. However, some things bother me. I want to share some theories. Firstly, some of us might be underwhelmed by a group of punk teens as the killer,7 comments 161 views last activity

So a few people got togeather and had a theory that the hags claw is in fact a prosthetic given to Lisa Sherwood by the entity to enact her revenge on the cannibals that kept her captive (now this is a few tweaks on it from me as it fits) and I think that's why she survived for so long before taking her revenge on them and how she vanished so fast she was corrupted by the entity from close proxim1 comments 122 views last activity

So after doing some research into billies lore, i realized something about his cosmetics, preferably the mountain man one and the camp counselor. When billy killed his parents, he was left with the messed up farmhand shirt and torn jeans, He then probably resided into the mountains where he crafted his own pants and his own T-shirt along with even a hat, by this time he even grew a full beard, so0 comments 101 views last activity

So, pardon me unless I've missed it, but this time there seems to be no lore journals for Legion or Jeff from good old BB. Does this confirm that the entity finally claimed him at the end of the Hallowed Blight?3 comments 191 views last activity

-A big one, the Entity, despite being an omnipotent spider/crab god that feeds on hope, has a soft spot towards the Legion. Not only were they very willing on the condition that they all be together, but they also look like Survivors so the trials are always fun to watch. -Frank sees the cracks in the illusion but tries to ignore them for the sake of the Legion. Someone (I'm blanking on your name right now, sorry) came up with the idea that the Entity grabbed both Jeff and the Legion at the same time. The evidence being Jeff decided to go up to the lodge, and Frank hearing something moving in the woods by the lodge. That something would be Jeff. A bit of an interesting theory I developed lately and i think this theory could maybe be possible (maybe) I would greatly appreciate feedback on my theory. Let's get started on the evidence why I think that Jake Park and The Trapper may be relatives. In Jake's backstory, he has a father who wants him to follow his own footsteps, like how he wants trapper, we also learn that Jake has an older b47 comments 631 views last activity

The questions are about the Entity (I like to refer to it as a she). So, we know that the Entity doesn't feel emotions like we do, but can she feel emotions similar to curiosity and interest? Is it possible for the Entity to come to an agreement of sorts with someone/something? Since the Entity is a living, biological creature, is she cautious or is she willing to experiment and try new things? T11 comments 151 views last activity

Did the non-licensed survivors/killers live in a world where Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Saw, and other such movies played in their theaters, or were the concepts of these people's existence unknown to them until they entered the realm of The Entity?1 comments 91 views last activity
