I think they warned you on the page that you can't change it once you check it off.
No it says once you submit your votes. I'm talking about the green checkbox. It wouldn't make any sense for that to be intentional.
-
This has happened to me as well. This was a bug since the last iteration of 2v8 too.

btw problem occurs only when you put your skin in preset 4, I had no problem when I put skins in preset 2,3. I know why it's not working devs simply forgot about that, because as u remember 7 presets was added with the walking dead chapter and they forgot to add those 7 presets in 2v8 too :)
What do you mean? Are you saying if you never set your presets beyond 3 it works? Because all my characters have 7 presets so I can't test this.
-
Leave lightborn alone. It's fine how it is. The community's obsession with this perk is so funny. If it's so weak as they claim then why are people constantly trying to get it nerfed?
If you think it's weak then use other perks and let the players who find it useful have it.

Suprised These haven't come back. Though the deep rift should still remain locked to Rift Pass owners of that pass and required levels only.
Yeah this post is not about deep rift, i'm specifically talking about releasing old rift cosmetics from the first 11 tomes. Deep rift didn't exist back then.
-
Toolboxes and Medkits don't use the new charge system. And Built To Last which functions similarly to old Streetwise works with the new charge system anyway.
-
What do they even lose by killswitching it? It's a free perk from a free character. Just killswitch it.
-
It looks really bad and bulky now though. Isn't there some other way you could show you've unlocked a character that's less of an eye sore? Like a small icon of a lock or something?

Has been the case ever since they started doing these bundles. Just straight up unable to buy those if it's just a single charm you're missing. Meanwhile, until they fix/change it; you can contact support and they will usually give it to you for free.
Wow wish I had known that when I missed out on those charms for 4 weeks straight.
-
I agree. I don't get why the end screen just shows a generic bot name when someone DCs in the first place? Like is it just an oversight or is there a reason for this?

I believe so yeah. One of them is “The dedicated server has stopped responding” everyone gets booted. (Should be 0 penalties on that)
If a cheater or hacker disconnects your lobby. Everyone gets penalized. Including the cheater lol.
So what's the message when a hacker boots you? I'm pretty sure it's the 1st one I get, the stopped responding one. Either way this only further backs up my point, in that you get penalized for disconnections out of your control. At the very least the game needs to recognize the difference between an intentional DC and one that wasn't.

I’m not gaslighting anyone. Is the error message a dedicated server issue? (Is that the error that pops up?)
Are there different error messages when you get disconnected? I don't remember the wording exactly but the next time it happens, which I know it will, i'll take a screenshot.
-
Btw before people start throwing a fit, my suggestion is for them to FIX their servers and make them stable before implementing this system. Not for them to abolish the DC penalty completely…
Obviously the game needs a DC penalty, but it's extremely frustrating for the servers to crash as often as they do and then to get penalized for it on top of that is a slap in the face.
-
@MechWarrior3 said:
Dedicated Server issues shouldn’t be giving you a DC penalty.
I’ve yet to experience this on my end and I play a lot of DBD. What region are you in?
Well it does… I'm on NA. And I won't be gaslighted into thinking it's a tech issue because i've played against and with people who were streaming when it has happened and you could clearly see they disconnected as well at the same time and got the same server error message.

Would love to hear an explanation? It was broken, then they fixed it. They extended the event by a week giving everyone millions and millions of extra BP in cake. Its fair because its completely free and they didn't have to do it at all.
Free or not, they heavily promoted this feature leading up to the event and didn't follow through on their word. The anniversary event is free as well, and if it was disabled because of a glitch for 3 weeks do you think it would be acceptable for them to only extend the event by 1 week? No it wouldn't be.
"Extra BP in cake" is literally irrelevant.

Official account said no.

I hope the delay is because you're adding outfit presets alongside it! Wouldn't really make sense to have one without the other.
-
So I noticed this issue was fixed yesterday but not mentioned anywhere in the patch notes. It was also fixed before the patch went live. Was it actually a bug or was it done on purpose? Would love some transparency on this given a lot of people missed out on several weeks worth of charms that we may never get the opportunity to get again.
-
My stats completely changed from the first day it was released earlier in the week. Lost more than half my hours and progress for some reason.
-
I really thought they would have fixed this in yesterday's patch. You'd think since this bug is preventing people from making purchases they'd prioritize this...
-
Also saw someone make a good point somewhere else. The last remaining survivor can always abandon when downed. So as a survivor you can pretty much DC every match before being mori'd/sacrificed and always avoid the LOSS while killers can 4K every match and avoid their MMR going up if downed survivors just constantly force DRAWs by DCing before being mori'd/sacrificed.

I'm still disappointed with their last UI overhaul being terrible and basically unchanged and then they do this. And somehow during this time they still haven't bothered to add more then 3 preset slots for builds and cosmetics which is all I really wanted them to change regarding menu features and UI.
Please revert it. It may be incredibly minor but being able to see the exact number of something is still satisfying.
Exactly, every update the UI gets worse and worse and adds useless things no one has ever asked for, and yet the things people have been begging for forever, like adding more cosmetic and perk presets they refuse to do. It's so frustrating.
How about instead of capping items at 999 why not implement a way to sell unused items & addons that are accumulating dust for extra Bloodpoints. Now that would be a useful quality of life feature.
-
The old UI used to look so much cleaner. The thick chunky borders around the icons look bad and makes everything look cramped. Also ironically adding an outline around the number text actually makes the numbers a lot less legible. It's very hard to see the numbers now, not very accessible for anyone with vision issues.
Here's a side by side comparison. Top is the new design, bottom is old.
-
This just happened to me as well. Same spot, same map. I was standing on the ledge and the zombie at the bottom of the stairs hit me twice. And it was stuck in place there for the rest of the match even Nemesis hitting it didn't do anything.
-
Happened to me too, on Forgotten Ruins. I was standing on the top floor at the ledge and there was a zombie at the bottom of the stairs that teleported to hit me twice.
The zombie was also stuck in place there, when Nemesis tried to hit it to reset it nothing happened.

Why can we not see our TEAMMATES PERKS??!!! O.— This is obviously what SoloQ could use. DBD Mobile had that… Can't we already see our OWN perks in lobby?… Am I missing a key component here?
Wait that's what I assumed they meant. Wasn't the A/B testing that you could see your teammate's perks? If not then I don't get the point of this either.
-
I'm hoping that some of these lobby ui suggestions will also be included in the "operation health" Quality Of Life update.
-
I see "more perk presets" but I don't see "more outfit presets"…. I hope that's just part of the "and more" cause if not that would really suck.
-
Same here, since around 6pm EST I started getting 2 bots per match again…
-
I swear I saw a bot use an herb when they were healthy with no hooks...
-
100% agree with the iri shard bonus. This is the only fix to queue times in my opinion. Bloodpoints are simply not enough of an incentive.
-
I noticed this too. There's the Alan Wake typewriter one that's not animated as well. If they're not animated, I don't understand what makes them Ultra Rare. There's a lot of inconsistencies with their rariry system in general.
-
- More outfit presets and perk build slots (minimum 6).
- More accessibility settings for audio and lighting. For example the ability to lower certain SFX like hook screams or brighten your screen.
-
Not to mention you'll probably never get the full bonus of this perk cause we all know killers love to hard tunnel at 5 gens forcing a 3v1. If you're lucky or skillful enough to have 4 survivors standing by the time gates are powered you don't need this perk to escape.
Chaos Shuffle has really been highlighting how survivors have much more useless perks compared to killers. And you just added another one to that pile.
-
Agreed, this change makes no sense. If 3 to 4 survivors are still alive by the time the gates are powered that's already pretty much a garanteed escape, you don't need a boost opening gates.
Meanwhile if you're the last survivor standing, when this perk would actually be useful, the boost just got cut in half... How did we go from a buff to nerf..?
I never saw anyone running this perk, surely no one will use it now. It's useless in both winning and losing situations. Please revert it.

Dear Developers
I hope you realize that you could make a lot of money selling new Moris for the killers. In the customization area there is still a free space next to the charms where you could assign a Mori to the killer. Now that you can always mori the last survivor, this would be worth considering, as you see the animations more often. Of course, it would also be a possibility to put a new Mori animation in the Rift Pass instead of these countless charms, if you want to. So if I have one Christmas wish in DBD, that would be it.They've already realized this. Why do you think they made moris basekit? It's already in the works. No point debating it.
-
This Hillbilly cosmetic is too good for it to die as a concept.
-
They just need to add individual sound settings so every player can adjust, music, sfx, screams, dialogue, etc. separately at the levels they prefer. This feature is extremely overdue.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/430977/hillbillys-turning-rate-is-awful-now
the way additive % work is that you get first 30% and than next 20% is 20% of 30% which is like… 7-8%? change was done to prevent billy from spamming overdrive with Iri engravings so not every chase for billy begins overdrive iri engraving every chase. i think you can still spam overdrive to some extent on certain maps but time sink is higher.
billy is notable a lot less effective as killer so he is more in line with how blight is in power-level.
Omg that's so much worse than I thought. My favourite playstyle on Hillbilly was drift king billy, which is just dead now because of his inability to turn even with double boots equipped, and all the clutter on maps and their awful hitboxes.
This may be an unpopular opinion but I wish this overdrive mechanic was never added. It has led to them changing everything I loved about this killer and at what cost?
The recovery time is so bad now it feels like old Spiked Boots with the 28% penalty except you can't even turn now!
I would rather them just revert all these nerfs and them get rid of Overdrive instead. It's not worth it.

Is it supposed to be active now? Cause there's no global twitch emote called DwightDBD, I've checked.

Well the slugged survivor could Unbreakable themselves up or something then get those survivors off the hook. So once again removing gameplay from the game.
They've already removed these kind of plays for the last person standing, where does it end?

The "1 perk that counters 500 perks and addons" arguments against Distortion never really made sense to me. Because when a killer brings a full aura build all your tokens get eaten up in a second anyway and your aura still gets revealed all game. Whether you hide or take chase all game you barely have time for all your tokens to regenerate before you lose them again. Especially with this new Weave + Franklins meta.
Also in the patch notes, the devs make it seem like aura reading is the only way to find survivors. What happened to gen patrolling, using scratch marks and blood pools, using your ears, or just plain old searching the map? Isn't that the point of this game? Why are the devs promoting using aura reading as a crutch? Yes, those perks and addons are useful but killers should not have to rely solely on them.

Nerfs to Weave Attunement + Franklins combo:
Weave Attunement: The dropped items are now revealed to survivors.
Franklin's Demise: Fully consumed items disappear from the trial.
No to the Franklin's Demise idea cause what if you want to pick up the item later and escape with it? I usually do that, especially if it's a rare item.

I will also quit the game if this change goes through. This insistence on pushing this and the recent UI redesign despite the majority of the community agreeing that it's awful proves that you have no interest in listening to us and are only interested in dollar signs.
Ruining a perfectly good mechanic and changing the whole flow of the game all so you can sell cosmetic animations.
And it's flawled logic as well because with an ebony mori you can get up to 4 moris in a match, with this change you are only guaranteed a single 1, and that's if you 4K. So in most matches you won't even see the mori you paid $15 or whatever for.
So yes, I can see people slugging more and playing in other extremely unfun ways to get their moneys worth.
-
Not only did no one ask for it, like 99% of the community rebuked the changes and they went ahead with it anyway.
And yeah the charm box covering the search bar is possibly the worst UI design choice i've ever seen in my entire life.
-
That's why we need to not shut up about it. The redesign is just too awful to get used to. It's unacceptable.
-
An easy fix for this would be introducing a perk that lets you see the survivor's aura after you close the hatch.

Not liking the language, but the suggestion.
Pretty sure I would have been able to unhook myself a couple of times already, had other survivors stayed away instead of slowing the progress of the meter with their proximity.
Yes, this feature has been in the game for months and it seems players still don't get how it works.
