I just feel like itd be more dull to make trapper start with all his traps rather than have him navigate to get them, i wouldnt mind him beginning with all but the gameplay would feel to passive and im scared hed become boring like the hag since her only power is to place traps since she starts with them.
What exactly is fun about wasting time at the start going around the map picking up your traps? That's literally the dull part about Trapper.

Yup I think the introduction of this new "From The Rift" bundle is indication that they will eventually stop bringing back rift outfits to the store and you'll only be able to buy them in this auric cell only FOMO bundle. This is very bad news but so far most of the community doesn't seem to care and are happily pulling out their credit cards. Which is confusing considering how mad everyone was about the limited time seasonal cosmetics. Does the community hate FOMO or not?
-
It's interesting that a $15 skin for a popular character somehow has their auric cell only window extended but not other skins released a day before. I'm not making any accusations... but it is a strange coincidence. Really makes you think...

I know most people say cosmetics become purchasable with shards after 1 month, but it actually takes more like 6 weeks. It will be there soon maybe next week.
Well most people say that because that's the time range bhvr announced themselves. So if they are going over that, that means they are going against their word. You'd never see them "accidentally" extend sales would you, so why should get they leeway for this?

Trapper needs to start with all his traps end of. You can make it so he can't pick up any more traps until he's back at 2 traps, but at least then he won't spend 2 full gens setting up at the start.
In a new dbd era where all the new killers have 3 powers each, there's no reason for early killers to be this weak.
Back at 1 trap I meant to say. It's like basekit Trapper Sack but once you're back at 1trap you can pick up and move traps again and the max you can carry is still 2.
I don't see how a simple change like this would make it unfun for survivors? They can buff him in all these irrelevant ways as much as they want but until Trapper starts with all his traps he will never be on par with newer killers.

If they bring back single piece cosmetics (like Ace's purple gambling shirt from Rift 2), then this bundle will have a really good value. Hopefully that's what they have in store for us 🙏❤️
If this bundle was just for the single cosmetic pieces from older rifts and deep rift outfits it would be less of a blow for sure.
But to use it to create FOMO on basic recolors that they could easily just add to the store is very scummy in my opinion.

Considering they have stated some outfits might never come back from the rift at all, I would be happy with this. Ive been waiting on the Night Owl Huntress skin for almost 2 years? And I will gladly pay 11$ for it.
I mean that's what my post is about. There's no reason for them not to bring these outfits back to the store normally in the first place. Like there's nothing particularly special about this Jake outfit, it's not like it's deep rift. It's just a standard recolor.
To state that some outfits are never coming back to the store and then be like, just kidding, if you want it you gotta buy the whole fit for $11 and you only have a week until it's gone is just a predatory FOMO tactic. And my "feedback and suggestion" is that they not do this.

I like the idea of Outfit Charms, but they're just so small, you can barely even see them and I'll forget they're even there. Hook Charms are much bigger and clearly visible, so they're cool. I guess right now I prefer Badges and Banners over Charms, because you actually get to see them a lot more, but if they increased the size of Outfit Charms, I'd pick them.
That's fair. I do hate how inconsistent the charm sizes are. Some are super tiny, some are huge (the dear mask one comes to mind). I wish they would just find a middle ground and standardize it across all charms.
-
Agreed. Another annoying thing is if you filter to show only owned characters it's still coded to put whatever the newest character you own at the top. So for me Wesker and Gabriel are in the top spot. Makes literally no sense lmao
-
Yes the text is tiny now. From the unreadable text to the map lighting this game is so inaccessible to people who don't have perfect 20/20 vision.
-
Every time I have to interact with the new UI, I get really frustrated anfd irate. It's making me want to quit the game. That's how bad it is.
-
It needs to be like 4x XP bonus. Clearly no one cares about bloodpoints since the killer queue times are still insane even with a 400% bonus. Bloodpoints are the easiest currency to earn in the game therefor aren't a persuasive enough incentive. With an XP bonus you can earn iri shards faster and progress through the rift faster. It's way more compelling.
-
Yes, I don't understand why certain rift cosmetics that are barely a year old are already being brought to the store while there are still plenty of 2-4 year old rift outfits that have yet to make it back. Why gatekeep older outfits like this? It's not like you'll run out of things to sell at the rate new outfits are released in this game.
I agree that it would be nice to have a consistent schedule at which old rift outfits are released to the store. And that older outfits are prioritized to clear out the backlog. Personally I'm still waiting on outfits from Rift 11, 6, 4 and more.
-
Yes I made several posts about this during the PTB of the new store design that were completely ignored. I can't believe someone was paid actually money to design something like this.
I disagree about everything else with the new UI being fine though. The whole redesign is bad.

Thank you OP for articulating clearly everything we've all been thinking in a very detailed way.
One more really important thing that wasn't mentioned but needs to be brought back are the hot keys. You used to be able to navigate the character selection and customization screens so easily using your controller buttons or whatever the equivalent was on mouse & keyboard. LB and RB to quickly go through cosmetic pages. This was especially useful when going through the dozens of pages worth of charms. There were also hot keys to quickly go to the next or previous character without having to go back to the character list. It was intuitive, quick, and effortless. Now everything takes so much time, so many clicks, so much scrolling. It's especially laborious on console/controller.
On the new design you've added hot keys (LT/ RT on controller) to move through the 3 tabs; All Survivors, Customization and Bio. Isn't this a bit of a waste of those buttons? Wouldn't it make more sense that these hot keys were used to move through the outfit, head, torso, bottoms, and charm sections?
Side note, I still don't understand why the customization page starts on head pieces now instead of full outfits? What's the logic behind this?
Another thing I must mention. Randomly making the bloodpoint bonus text red now instead of white making it blend into the background. Just why? It used to be very clear and now just causes eye strain, plus it looks pixelated on top of that. The text for usernames has also become very small everywhere now for some reason. It seems the devs are really not aware of how constant design choices like this and making maps extremely dark as another example hinder your visually impaired players.
-
Yeah it doesn't really make sense why the Singularity is given autoaim but other killers which are also hard to aim with when using controller like Huntress, Deathslinger, Trickster are just left to deal with it.
-
Same. A big part of the fun of DBB for me was character customization. This UI redesign has taken that fun away from me. The new UI is so convoluted and clunky now I don't even wanna bother customizing anything anymore, let alone buy any new cosmetics.
Even something as simple as selecting a character has become a chore.
-
Yes please! It's very annoying that if I select to only show owned characters if I leave the tab to go spend bloodpoints for example when I come back to the character selection I have to add the filter back on every time. Just let it stay permanently until we unselect it.
I know this is marketing ploy but please BHVR you just have to accept that there are certain characters I will never buy and it's irritating having to scroll past all the characters I don't own to get to the ones I do. Just grey them out and put them at the end like before.
-
I agree the only thing I like from the rift are the recolors. Just simple cute outfits that you can easily mix n match with other pieces.
-
Same here. Game has been crashing for me all weekend on PC. On both Steam and Epic Games. And I keep getting hit with penalties even though i'm not DCing on purpose. Very annoying.
-
Actually this doesn't seem to be solely a Haddonfield issue. Since I posted this, it has happened to me on other maps. Like the long stairs in main building of Toba Landing and the killer shack basement stairs on the swamp maps. There might be other instances I haven't come across yet too.

A minor suggestion. Consider adding a button to toggle item descriptions, otherwise whenever you are hovering cosmetics that are on the far right column, it covers the character preview. You need to constantly hover in & out to put it away when swapping through the items.

Something like "Right Click" to hide/open description would solve this.
Yeah this is actually really annoying the more I use the shop. Why not just make the description pop up go on the left side for the last 2 columns so that it doesn't cover the character.
-
Shrine of Secrets should probably have a confirmation pop up. Apparently a lot of people have been accidentally clicking on it and wasting their shards.

I meant aesthetic wise, not gameplay wise. The point was that it looked like an actual street, unlike the new Haddonfield.
I also noticed the ridiculous fences too, don't worry.
Agreed. Aside from the fact that the map is god awful for survivors now gameplay wise. Visually speaking i'm surprised the license holders let them gut the map like this. It doesn't give Halloween at all anymore.
-
I''m just gonna repeat what I wrote in the PTB feedback thread:
- There needs to be a button to reset to your saved outfit that deselects everything you've tried on with a single click.
- When you go to customizations it should start on the full outfits page not on head pieces.
- It takes too many clicks to get to the outfits. And it takes too many clicks to back out of the store.
- We need more than 3 saved outfit and perk loadout slots. It should be doubled to 6 each.
- Also you should be more transparent about how the prices for the charm bundles are decided. If it's based on rarities then you should tell us how much each rarity is worth so that we know what prices to expect based on what's included in the bundle.
-
Why does this still block the search bar? I pointed this out in the PTB feedback thread and it still hasn't been fixed.
-
Same here, has been happening to me a lot lately on PC. Usually near the end of the match. So playing 15-20 min matches just to end up with no bloodpoints and challenge progress gone.
-
Happened to me on PC as well.
-
The reason why killers camp hatch is because survivors will not even bother seeking hatch they will just camp the exit gates until the killer closes the hatch for a free escape. So it's another one of those situations where both players are having a standoff, both wasting each other's time, and seeing who will give up first. Implementing a mechanic like this would basically be punishing killers for an issue caused by both sides.
-
I agree the deep rift recolors need to alternate every rift. Blue every time is so boring, and the shade they use is so loud. It hardly matches with other pieces. If they keep going like this at a certain point 90% of all cosmetics in the game will be blue which is ridiculous.
-
The map used to be pretty balanced until y'all added all that awful clutter.
-
Oh my lord what have you guys done to Billy again?? You have completely messed with my muscle memory with this initial turn rate change. You guys can't keep changing things like this every week, forcing us to constantly have to relearn how to play our main, it's extremely frustrating. Can you please revert the initial rate turn? What is this even fixing, I don't get it?
Billy was finally in a good place where it didn't feel like hell to play him and now we're back to square one. I've already had to completely relearn how to handle the chainsaw because his new speed makes it hard control and now you're asking me to do it all over again a couple weeks later. I don't understand why you can't just leave this killer alone?
