There's a general sentiment that both killers and survivors generally try way harder during an event. Whether that be bringing more powerful builds or playing in ways that maximise efficiency (tunneling, camping, genrushing, etc). The games just feel generally sweatier. I'm curious, is this an actual trend? Or is it just cognitive bias? Is the fact that it's an event and should feel like a celeb14 comments 492 views last activity

There are some ultra rare addons that are really bad currently, but what do you think is the absolute worst ? I have a few contenders, and I'm gonna go against the grain and not put Waterlogged Shoe among them: Knight's Contract: I've tried, but this addon simply doesn't do anything. From DBD Japan twitter account: We already know what the Mage Hand nerfs are, but I'm concerned that Flight of the Damned will be getting nerfed too. Right now, pretty much no survivor with knowledge on Vecna will ever get hit by the skeletons, it only really serves as a knowledge check and an ok zoning tool at the moment. The entire ability is shut dow33 comments 492 views last activity

As you (might not) know, Dead by Daylight actually had a crossover with For Honor a couple of years ago. Over in For Honor, we got decals, executions, an outfit and even a whole temporary gamemode themed around DBD. We literally had The Trapper hunting down all of the For Honor heroes, it was cool. However, in DBD, we got one singular charm. That's it. Anyway, I'd love to see some For Honor th0 comments 151 views last activity

When a killer swings and hits an illusion, it disappears. However, when this happens, the timer keeps progressing and you are unable to recharge the perk. Also, there is no indication as to how charged the perk is, unlike similar perks.2 comments 31 views last activity

A common complaint about Nemesis is the fact that his addons generally feel underwhelming, and it feels like he only has a handful of useful addons to choose from. I have a few ideas of potential addon updates he could have. S.T.A.R.S. Field Combat Manual The Auras of Survivors hit by Zombies are revealed to you for 12 seconds. Instead of changing the color of Zombies when they hit a Survivo4 comments 81 views last activity

Slinger's reload movement speed buffs make him feel better to play overall, I think, however, he still has some major issues that I think need addressing. First, he is far too easy to prerun from. His 32m TR is a big hinderance. It is nearly double his range, and he can't do anything at all against Survivors who run instantly the second they hear him. Both Huntress and Trickster have potentially8 comments 141 views last activity

After the patch, the only viable use case C33 is going to have is being used in tandem with Blighted Tag, which I think is a bit of a shame. Both Alchemist's Ring and Umbra Salts have more potent effects for their individual stats, with no downside. The only time you'd want to use C33 is with Tag, which applies the same downside anyway. If you ask me, you could bring back Infinite Rush for this8 comments 131 views last activity

HUNK's theme in RE2 is sick as hell, and honestly I think it could be incorporated into a Chase Theme super easily. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=664T5ScFabk It'd be super cool!0 comments 11 views last activity

Pharmacy has never really been a very used perk, and with the adjustments to Medkits, it's become even worse. I had an idea which involves giving Pharmacy a unique limited item, which would allow Pharmacy to be balanced independently from Medkits. Pharmacy: You have a knack for finding medicine. The Unlocking Speed of Chests is increased by 40/60/80% and the range of noises caused by Unlock16 comments 222 views last activity

This is just a general thing, I don't really have an issue with any of the changes made in the Developer Update, I think they're pretty good. However, it seems like a majority of the recent perk changes have been nerfs, which is a bit of a shame. In terms of Perks, this update we're getting 6 nerfs, 1 buff and 1 rework. The last time we got a big chunk of Perk buffs was nearly a year ago now I t8 comments 121 views last activity

This is my 3000th post on the forums. I know there's people on here with way more posts, but it's still crazy to me how much I like talking about this game sometimes. Shout out to all the cool people I've met here! Y'all know who you are (at least I hope you do).4 comments 21 views last activity

As in it'd extend all timed Aura reading durations by 2 seconds. It'd open up synergy with a good amount of perks, and would buff Dark Sense's main effect a little bit too. Dark Sense isn't super popular, even after the rework. Adding a secondary effect like this would open up fun new combinations and let the perk shine.1 comments 31 views last activity

I was thinking of an idea to buff Streetwise, but then I realised that all of Nea's perks can feel kinda "eh" sometimes and could use a little bit of love. Here's my ideas: Balanced Landing Your agility and cat-like relexes are incomparable. When falling from height, you benefit from the following effects: Suppresses all noises associated with falling. Pharmacy was never a much-used perk, but the changes to Medkits have made it one of the least appealing perks in the game. It really needs another update to make it at least somewhat as viable as it was before. Here's my idea: Pharmacy increases the Unlocking Speed of Chests by 40/60/80%, and the range of Chest Opening noises by 8 meters. There's quite a few perks that require a Survivor to be injured (or not injured) to activate, that I think don't need these requirements. Deadline Deadline already has a downside to it, that being the random skill check placement. It doesn't really make sense to have an injured requirement as well, as it really limits the activation times of this perk, with an already weak effect. You don't really see BT all that much anymore. It's great that it's not necessary, but what if we buffed it a little? What if, as well as applying its effects to people you unhook, you'd get the effects when you were unhooked as well? It'd give you some protection while still mainly being an altruistic perk. What do you think?12 comments 131 views last activity

I think that the Anti facecamp mechanic should be communicated to other Survivors through the HUD. A secondary orange bar under the sacrifice progress, perhaps? It makes sense to add, as this is something a SWF can easily communicate to each other, but other people in a lobby have no idea of knowing.1 comments 21 views last activity

I have a couple of ideas for some buffs to Trapper to make his overall gameplay flow feel a little better: 1] When hooking a Survivor, one random disarmed trap is returned to the Trapper's hand, provided he has capacity. If you've played Trapper, you've been there. A trap all the way on the other side of the map, taunting you with its aura, but if you go to get it, the time you spend trekking0 comments 11 views last activity

Currently, the intermittent Aura reading requires you to be the obsession to function at all. This means that it's up to RNG whether a huge part of the perk will activate at all. This is incredibly frustrating to have happen, and you can't really rely at all on the perk to be consistent because of this. This issue will become even worse with Decisive Strike coming back into the meta. More people21 comments 853 views last activity

At the moment, we only have 1 Visceral outfit, which kinda sucks. I'd love to see a lot more of these types of skins. DBD Mobile already has a wide range of Moris, and it'd be cool to see some more in the main game (without the gambling mechanics though): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKPV7qi97bU12 comments 562 views last activity

I think this'd make the perk a lot more useful if it applied Exhaustion permanently until cleansed. It'd be kinda like how they gave Mindbreaker the Blindness effect, but the other way around.17 comments 191 views last activity

I honestly think that Event Horizon would be a perfect fit for a DBD Chapter. There's so much potential for adaptation there, and you could really dive deep into the Psychological Horror it provides. When entering the basement when the killer has Territorial Imperative equipped, the sound cue that is supposed to only play for the killer also plays for the Survivor, informing them of the perk activating.0 comments 11 views last activity

The Singularity can be a formidible killer in the right circumstances, however, the strength of his counterplay can make him feel powerless at times, especially against coordinated teams. This has unfortunately left him rather unpopular, being the second least picked killer in the game currently. I've been running it on Legion and I've noticed that the perk only activates when a Survivor goes from healthy to injured. This makes it a lot less useful and seems like a pretty weird and pointless restriction. It should activate when a Survivor loses a health state at all.6 comments 61 views last activity

Can Trickster get 60 Knives again? And the extra Knife addons be changed to 8 and 16 respectively? Also give him a visible combo meter, DMC style: (less serious suggestion but might go hard tbh)3 comments 91 views last activity

It's cool that they're making it reduce the required charges instead of apply progression that can be removed, but people were already complaining about how the time it takes isn't worth it at all. Why reduce the amount of charges it gives? You only get 70 seconds of generator repair time (at most) out of 120 seconds of performing the ritual. You lose over half a gen of time now in the best case35 comments 642 views last activity

Ace in the Hole should let you get Ultra Rare addons from a chest. The second addon should also have it's maximum rarity raised to Rare. With Dramaturgy able to give Ultra Rare addons, and the nerfs to the most powerful Ultra Rare addons for Survivors, I think this would be a reasonable buff to an underused perk.0 comments 11 views last activity

It shouldn't require a hook to work. It should activate on every pallet break. The effect isn't strong enough to only activate 12 times per game at the most. Nowhere to Hide doesn't require a hook to activate, neither should Thwack.13 comments 131 views last activity

Illumination is a neat perk, but the information it provides is kind of lacking considering the setup time, and the fact that it only works in a limited range. I think it should show the Auras of all Survivors on the map when you're in the Boon's radius. Throw in Exit Gates for good measure too. This would allow you to find Survivors to set up heals, and maybe even protection hits. I think this5 comments 81 views last activity

What if, as well as activating while you're the last survivor standing, it also activated for a shorter time (say 30-45 seconds) upon getting unhooked? This could make it pretty useful as an anti-tunnel perk, as it'd be very difficult to track a survivor that was recently unhooked while running this perk. Maybe giving it the ability to block auras would be a good idea as well? It's rarely used5 comments 41 views last activity

The fact that it's outclassed by Clairvoyance doesn't really make sense. It only does one thing and it should do it well. It should be 64/96/128m.9 comments 103 views last activity

In the new map, there's an arcade in the Theater, which can spawn a pallet near the pinball machines. If you drop the pallet, the machines spark and light up. Just a cool little detail that adds more depth to the map! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKfn6uk28VA0 comments 31 views last activity

She's the last killer that needs buffs at the moment. She's consistently at the top of the pickrates and you decide to increase her zoning potential and make one of her best addons basekit. Sure, give her more Hatchets I guess but the wind up speed and movement speed buffs aren't necessary at all. Every other game will end up being a Huntress at this rate.20 comments 863 views last activity

Keys were busted. Now they kinda suck. What if the Hatch spawned when the Exit Gates were powered, allowing it to be opened with a Key again? This would prevent those super annoying early escapes that old Keys were despised for while still giving them a good amount of use outside of the last Survivor Standing. All of the current Key mechanics would still apply: Hatch would take time to open, Ke15 comments 421 views last activity

Background Player got buffed significantly and is actually a pretty good and fun perk now. It has a very respectable use rate. However, the rest of the Tools of Torment Perks are left severely underpowered and underused. 3 of the 6 Survivor perks from the chapter sit in the top 10 least used perks overall. 2 out of 3 of the killer perks are also in the top 10 least used. It's been nearly a year and a half since the Finisher Mori developer update and subsequent PTB, and it's been radio silence ever since. It'd be really appreciated if any information was given at all, even if it's the announcement of the scrapping of the idea as a whole. It'd be a shame but I feel like we've been left hanging. The increase in the Laceration meter means Trickster will need to reload considerably more often. With the post-PTB change of reducing the Throw Rate again, both his time to injure AND his potential health states per reload will be reduced. This feels like it'll hurt him a bit too much. With the throw rate returning to 3 blades per second, and the Laceration meter returning to 8 hits to injure,2 comments 61 views last activity
