Ultra rare: Shroom of tranquility
A pungent mushroom crafted by the entity, the thick scent clogs the throat.
Your humming is completely silent. Your base terror radius is increased to 32m
What do you guys think?
-
That is insane, definetly a swf with mad gen rush skills. And a great choice of perks to use their toolboxes aswell.
As soon as you noticed gens getting done fast, you should have just left the first person you chased and went around for others. Although this most likely wouldn't of stopped gens getting done in 5 mins, it would have certainly stopped them a little and especially since you have Franklin's, this was definetly the match you could have gotten great potential with that perk.
But honestly you did well for what you were up against
-
I've never gone against a Bbq iron maiden killer in all my games of dbd.
Good duo might try it myself c:
-
An unusual but strangely well made unique build that works for you, I like it
-
I definetly agree with this, it's so easy for a survivor to comeplete and adept achievement.
Whereas, for a killer, yeah sometimes it's hard to 4k because of the easy hatch escape. But it's most definetly easier than relying on double pipping.
It's especially hard to double pip at red rank killer, as you basically need all iridescent emblems.

The uncleansable Coldwind totem can be on any map, not just Thompson House - as it's the tractor that's causing the problem.
I've had it happen on both Torment Creek and Rancid Abattoir.
Interesting

Huntress main over here, holaaa,
Huntress is great at getting fast downs through her fast recovery of hatchets. When you hit a hatchet, you don't lose any speed. Meaning less distance for the survivor.
Tips:
1. Always try to get a hatchet hit if they're healthy. Even if you are right next to them, still aim and go for a hatchet hit. Only hit them with your basic if you run out of hatchets or have been looping you for a while.
Reason - To close distance, hitting them with basic is alot easier, but with your slow movement speed you'll be catching up for a long time. You need that sweet distance!
2. Always basic hit them if they're injured. Even though hatchets are easy downs and amazing distance, it slows you and can waste time trying to actually hit them. Don't be ballsy, be safe :P!
Reason: They're already injured, there's no need to close distance, they're gonna be dead in one more hit. It's easier, faster and saves hatchets to just hit them with your basic.
3. Never leave yourself without any hatchets! That's her power silly?! Without then she's a slow basic killer. Even if it means leaving a chase to get some, DO IT!
Reason - It'll save you so much time and allows you to be a dangerous and proper playing huntress, it sounds stupid to drop a chase but it matters!!
Quick tips:
- To get hatchet hits:
= wind up your hatchet and aim it infront of you. This will scare the survivor into juking and eventually INTO YOUR HATCHET AIM, for you to then release and throw :).
- Break pallets that are really good!
= You're slow, there's no time for big loops!
- Wind up your hatchet before a pallet!
= This will ensure that if the surviour drops or goes into the pallet area, you will get an easy hit. Sometimes even a free pallet too! :)
- Practise crossmap hits
= practise makes perfect and getting cross map hits are great to show off and even get fast hits!
Perks:
Bbq - Cross maps
Thrilling Tremors - Cross maps on gens
Whispers - track survivors
Nurses calling - Find unexpected survivors with your small terror radius and hatchet them from a distance :)
Brutal strength - GET RID OF THOSE GOOD PALLETS!
Iron maiden - Fast reload of hatchets
Monitor + abuse - teeny tiny terror radius
Ruin - Gen regressionnnn
Undying - Keep that ruin baby
Pop - if you hook ppl easy, might aswell get some regression out of it :P
I'm all ears - Auras of survivors, means precise hatchet hits.
Add ons:
Wind up speed / hatchet Cooldown speed / hatchet hits allow aura of surviour to be seen.
Reason: Faster hatchets / Faster recovery / Precise hatchet hits
P.S alot of practise is needed, you will win games and feel proud, you will lose games and feel like never playing her again.
But she is rewarding when hatchets hit and very powerful when you learn how to understand survivors jukes, when to and when not to hatchet and how to play her effectively :)
I wish you all the best and I hope to play against you someday when I'm a survivor <3
I hope this helped a little c

Its always blight, hes the 2nd best killer in this game and has the best of both worlds for all of their powers, anti-loop by cutting off loop to loop, check, high speed for mobility and lethality, check, being able to use your power at certain times to guarantee hits on survivors, check, hes basically some of all of these thrown into one where the only thing standing between you and using it is skill, sure all 3 of them are great at what they do and are easier for that specific purpose, but blight can do all 3 and more, that said if you have all 3 get clown of pop, or get it out of the shrine

I used to be like you, I used to absolutely hate tunneling and get extremely annoyed when killers did so.
However, once you get to red ranks killer (which I dont know if you are), you'll understand how fast gens are done. After downing someone within the first 30 seconds of a chase, a gen is completed.
Before you know it you have one maybe two gens left and you're still expected to respect survivors and allow them to do their objective?
Now I'm not saying camping/tunneling right from the start is efficient, because it certainly isn't. But tunneling when you know there's a small chance of victory, is really the most efficient option.
My summary of my point is, when you play red rank killer for many hours, you'll understand how many times you could of won a game by just tunneling one person. It can save a game and even thought survivors don't like it, you're the killer, and if you think it's the best way then go ahead.
P.S avoid tunneling by: Borrowed time, taking hits, body blocking etc.

On huntress the best build is corrupt, bbq, whispers, and pop. Thats all i can really tell you for her, since I play mostly nurse. On the other hand, if you want to win every match, id suggest learning
NURSE!
Used to main nurse really well, but stopped playin her cuz I got bored with her tbh
-
Update everyone!
I have gotten alot better at securing 4ks and 3ks as huntress!
Thank you to all these tips, they have helped me quite alot.
The main tip that helped me the most was to slug when 2 or 3 gens left, has really helped me slow down the gen pops and get me some sweet pips >:)

- Stop being nice. Learn to wipe your ass with the survivor rulebook.
- Sometimes, you need to drop a chase.
- Getting survivors off gens is ALWAYS paramount. Even if you're mid chase, and your chase takes you near a gen you can hear being worked on, break off and go to the gen.
- Sometimes, you need to tunnel off hook and slug.
- Sometimes, you need to confirm a kill. Even at one gen left, confirming even ONE single kill turns the tables COMPLETELY.
- Never feel bad for playing to win.
- Remember - survivors will hit you with DS, Unbreakable, Flashlights, or ANY advantage they can get, and they never give a crap. They do NOT take your fun into consideration. Stop worrying about theirs. You're not their babysitter. You don't owe them a good time.
Actually love this! 💗

@Sonzaishinai said:
Learn when to slug is one of the biggest tips i can give someone who is getting to high ranks.
Picking up a survivor, walking to a hook, hooking them and then walking back to a gen takes an insane amount of time if you think about it.
Especially at mid/late game you need to start looking at how many survivors could be on a gen right now
Say you downed someone and the other 3 are healthy that are 3 survivors that could be on a gen. At that point you don't have time to go through the hooking process leave them on the ground.
Now say after that you ambushed someone and downed them before the other one got up. Then there are 2 on the ground and 1 most likely going to help the other one up which means only one survivor is on gens so now you have time to hook.
Learning to look at who might be on gens is a huge step forward in your pressure game and slugging is the most time effective way to stop someone working on gens
This was a good tip :)))
-
I think what I need to start doing is getting rid of the 'gen jockeys' first, as they normally ain't as good as the 'chasers'.
And it annoys me when they were quite bad, got downed in like 10 seconds, yet they end up escaping because they only get hooked twice.
-
@nina1121 said:
Well it's easy if u play swf two better players distract killer with chases while other two repair gens that's our tactic but as killer you have to be smart and know when to drop the chase and go for others which many killers don't do and end up with zero kills you need to pressure all 4 survivors no matter how hard it could be maybe use better perks to know they're location or something I never played killer but this is what I think killer should do maybe I'm wrong since I'm not killer main but it's just my opinion
I do drop chases, but as soon as you drop them let's say you chased them off a gen, they just get immediately back to it the second you turn your head.
So either way you're going to lose a gen no matter what gen you pressure.
The best you can do is down the survivor who you were initially chasing, whilst the gen is regressing. And lose a gen that was being repaired else where

Corrupt Intervention and Ruin / Undying. Use one or both.
Also don't try to go for a 12 hook game. You'll lose if you try to play too nice.
Ive had chances to tunnel people but I just feel scummy doing so, especially because I main survivor and know how peak it is sometimes :/
But I might have to because these red ranks be clapping those gens too fast, if they want a fast game, I'll give em a fast game lol

Mostly because no matter what you will almost never lose stacks. Demos shred isn’t a basic attack so when you hit the obsession with shred you won’t lose stacks. If you’re at 8 and down the obsession then you stay at 8.
Its pretty good if you can land your shred...I can’t so I don’t use it lol
But shred isn't a basic attack? So it wouldn't be affected by the STBFL?

Overall meta? Ruin+Surveillance, Ruin+Undying, PGTW, BBQ, Nurses Calling, Sloppy.
Then there’s killer specific meta which is too much to get into.
Buuut to answer your other question yes but no? Usually we can all agree DS+Unbreakable is meta but the people who love using it might say “no it’s just good.” Same could go for Demogorgon with STBFL. The definition of meta though is something (a perk) that’s used by almost everyone because it’s strong. That’s why some people say Iron will is “meta” because it’s good and it’s used a lot.
I've never understood why STBFL is apparently so good on demo
-
Unfortunately that's what people are like, they don't play it for fun or to have a chill time, they play to be the best and to constantly win 24/7.
Just ignore these type of people because frankly, they aren't worth your time and energy. Just reply with a :) whenever they get rude, can't comeback to that can they lol.
-
When Undying first came out, I assumed it meant the hex would only transfer once. But then I found out it can literally transfer 4 times if no one cleanses a dull.
Imo, I think it should be nerfed, but not completely, it can still have its aura readings and it's transfer. But make it so it transfers ONCE and not 4 times.

I agree, however it is somewhat restrictive on console. Typing out messages of any length beyond a gg with a controller is a lil time consuming, and at the end most players won't wait around long. Perhaps if there were k&m support on consoles...
Others may point out this would only become another salt & toxicity avenue, but that part doesn't really bother me. Anyone who plays even a tiny bit of killer begins to grow thicker skin due to such messages anyway.
Not really, if you play xbox and ps4 regularly, you can type a sentence in less than 20 seconds.
And yeah true toxicity will occur, but it's gonna be in the game no matter how much you restrict it. Besides you just laugh it off when you realise how sad they must be to act like that lol.
-
If you tunnel players, that's fine, it's toxic, but it's not against any rules :). Just don't get mad when survivors flashlight you at pallets, bodyblock n sabo, and taunt you whilst being chased.
They're all toxic strats by survivors, just like tunneling is a toxic strat by killers, fair play :).
-
As a killer, I'm fine with them tea bagging once or twice before leaving, it's a sign of a 'thank you for letting us out', 'Ggs Wp' type thing.
However if they sit there and start running in circles, pointing at me and constantly tea bagging, they're baso saying 'You couldn't catch usss' 'You got outplayed big time :P' type thing.
But overall, I'd rather them tea bag once or twice than just run out, as I feel like they it shows they didn't care that I gave them a free escape, I want to be thanked!
-
1. Not many Bubbas these days actually face camp, only if they're doing bad to catch survivors.
2. If they do camp, go do gens, you have 2 whole minutes to do at least like 2/3 gens. Besides you can always attempt to unhook when they're close to being sacrificed.
3. You can taunt and teabag the killer at the gates as much as you want without feeling bad :)

Actually, it was an effortless 4k at 5 gen. The game was over at 2 minutes. All 4 survivors were down 1 minute into the game. An Unbreakable delayed the game for an extra minute. Here's the game if you're curious https://www.twitch.tv/videos/762138962?t=00h26m32s.
Anyway, I just did it because I wanted to see what it looked like from the survivor's perspective, which was possible because it was a streamer.
Ohhh you're the killer lol. Well for an easy 4k such as that I don't see why celebrating would be toxic.

None of that matters when no mind games work at loops. Survivors ALWAYS know where she is. Attempts at hiding the red stain is a waste of time.
Takes half a minute to get them to finally drop the pallet, move to next tile, repeat. Drop chase because too much time is being wasted. Other 3 infected survivors do the exact same thing.
If mindgames aren't working just force them to drop the pallet. That way it's one less pallet to worry about.
And I've played plague many times and you can get some easy hits on people who loop an unsafe pallet.
-
If survivors don't cleanse, they basically have the exposed effect until they do.
Most killers have to chase people around loops, except from nurse and spirit etc. If the problem is you can't get hits on people who are looping, the problem isn't the killer the problem is your looping skills.
You need to practise defeating loops, through mindgames, respecting or even forcing them to drop the pallet.
-
Just laugh, because it shows that you outbeat the killer so much that you p***ed them off 🤣.

@MrPenguin said:
"'Your the closest person', no s**t sherlock I just got off the hook near you"
its almost as if you shouldn't unhook when the killer is right there /s
If this happens the team messed up. So many people think its fine to unhook right in front of the killer because they're used to abusing certain perks. That mindset really needs to change.
If I take 2 steps away and you get unhooked and I have the choice between a 1 hook down injured survivor and a 0 hook down healthy one, the choice is obvious unless I'm worried about a perk, a pressing nearby gen, or something else.
The only "skill" tunneling can even possibly be tied to is decision making. Unfortunately tunneling 1-2 survivors is the optimal way to play killer, its a problem with the core game design. If you mean mechanical skill then no not really, you're still chasing and downing someone.
So what do u do if they are proxy camping? Just not get unhooked? Okay yeah

Well said, survivors got countless if not endless perks to bail them out. If you’re not using DS then it’s your own fault, deal with it.
But then killers complain about DS when we use it to counter it, it's a lose lose situation

@SMitchell8 said:
Tunneling is skillful because you still have to apply some skill to get a hit, especially against a serial juker. It's an effective yet annoying strategy, nothing wrong with it.
Not when you've literally just got off the hook and you've just started to run....
-
@CrowFoxy said:
3 hooking all the survivors is impossible if the survivors are good.
You need to eliminate your last, or last few survivors to a meager 1 or 2 hooks where possible since you only have a collective 6 minutes before all gens are done, less if they coop smartly/toolboxes/bnp etc etc.
Tunnelling let's you eliminate a survivor asap, which slows the game down by a whole lot, and tbh, that relieves soooo much stress.
I get that, but the amount of games I've played where they've unhooked me, they go behind me to get the attention of killer but they go straight past them and down me n don't even bother slugging me, they just pick me up immediately to put me back on.
Well done mate, you got a kill by downing me, I had no chance of escaping, really good skill had to be used there damn, was a close one... Like no it's a killers easy way out, and then they think they are a great killer after the game lol

Another survivor who wants killers to voluntarily make their game harder for themselves.
How about you run around the map and count 10 crows every time you complete a gen? Otherwise don't brag about your "Skillz". See, everyone can come up with arbitrary rules.
I'm not saying you can't tunnel, you're acting as if I want you to not tunnel. Although that's what most survivors would want, I'm not saying that.
I'm just letting those who think they are 'all this all that' at being killer because they tunnel every person on hook, you ain't all this all that, It hard to follow the same person.
-
@CosmicParagon said:
It may not be a skillful play, but it is often the smartest one. The sooner you eliminate one player, the more effectively you can apply pressure. Everybody talks about needing to 3-hook everybody, but it simply isn't possible against skilled survivors. The only advice I have if you are getting tunneled is to learn to loop better to make the killer give up on you.
But looping the killer well is what makes them tunnel or even face camp in the first place, because you're good survivor they don't wanna play with you so they just kill u out the game lol

Tunneling is only a strategy killers should use if they have almost no chance to win. Like if there's 2 gens left, you have no kills, and the survivor you just hooked is second hook it can be really beneficial to tunnel them or if you find someone else dead on hook than go kill them. I only ever tunnel if there is 2 gens and one a couple people are on death hook. If three or more people are dead on hook or someone is already dead than I play as nice as I can while still attempting to win.
Agreed, the fact that I see red ranks tunnelling and using the excuse 'You were closer' is dissapointing
