The DLC, not cosmetics. So you're saying if we buy the characters we get exclusive items?Noodle said:They did say directly buying the DLC will give you exclusive cosmetics compared to unlocking it with shards.
Can you provide a source? Cause I was actually asking for something like that, give something exclusive to people who bought, say the Doctor before 2.0 -
Doubt it. No game I know of does this. You either grind or skip the process and waste your cash on it. Nothing special should be given to people that take the easy way.Vampirox said:with the in game store releasing and allowing to play to unlock stuff what about the people who spend real money will they get any exclusive or special for actually "supporting" the game?
If they did this, I would be kind of annoyed. Why should a dude who doesnt want to play the game to actually earn his stuff get more than me, someone who worked within the game to get it?
The Very Rare outfits can only be bought with cash. Theres your "support exclusive."
If anything, people who played the game prior to 2.0 should get something exclusive for supporting the game throughout its mess of a life cycle these last 2 years. -
According to lore, using her power hurts her.
It would break lore for her to be able to cancel her power without feeling a least a little bit of fatigue, since she charges it up.
Also full movement speed while charging probably wouldn't change much so I dont see why not. -
I really have 0 problems getting a pip as a Survivor.
If you are unable to pip in the new system, you've probably found your actual rank. It's still insanely easy to pip if you know what you're doing. To prove my point, who wants to make a bet I can get from Rank 16 to Rank 1 starting today before the reset?

I mean it's just a link to an actual twitch video, so if you just copy paste that link you get taken to a video.ACoolName said:Thanks m8.
I dont use twitch so I can't really benefit from this. Wish you can do a youtube channel.
I mean... why not dude. Gets you more views and can become an income at some point.
Plus for time zone purposes.
Twitch is just livestreaming, I play live and you get to see and watch me play in real time and get to talk to me. You can make mad money on twitch too bro, probably as much if not more than you can on YouTube if you are a big streamer lol -
Wow
Just when I was praising them they go and pull this ######### on us.
Come on BHVR. -
This is just a fad that is going to die out in a few years, like MOBAs, Survival Games, and Hero Shooters that came beforehand respectively.
Give it some time and BR games will screech to a surprising halt and something else will take the forefront. I'd rather DbD stay original than hop on board a gravy train personally.
I will admit though, your idea does sound pretty sick. I'll +1 anyway -
As long as the Survivors in your game have green connections, you're good to go. If everyone you see has yellow or red, you might want to consider your own connection is actually the problem.
-
The only way Ranking really means anything is if you actually play the game within the balance and play Solo. Even then depending on your playstyle and overuse of broken mechanics as Survivor can skew your actual skill even more than it already is with the system.
It's better for sure, better than the Bloodpoint system. However currently because of SWF and other broken nonsense Rank is really more of a suggestion of someone's general skill/annoyance factor. -
For juking Killers in DbD, you really need to be able to break LoS and utilize your third person camera. That's pretty much all there is to it.
Example: you are running from the Killer and are approaching a jungle gym. You run into the gym from a bad angle, and you turn your camera around to see the Killer is beginning to attempt a cutoff around the gym that will result in you getting hit faster. If you watch behind you as you run away, you can see what the Killer is going to do.
From here, you have the choices of either A. To keep running or B. To turn around and go back the way you came. The Killer will have to choose once breaking LoS if you are going to be tricky or continue on your path.
This is a very simple example of mindgames that can be played after breaking Line of Sight. Other mindgames including pallet mindgames where you actually lose LoS of the killer for a moment, and he can do something called "hiding the red stain" by turning around and circling the loop BACKWARDS.
Basically, mind games all come into play once breaking Line of Sight. You cannot run mindgames otherwise, the Killer will simply hold W and follow you. Whether or not you decide to do a 360 could be a mindgame, but 360s dont work on good Killers anyway.
As for stealth, STAY MOBILE. If you duck into a corner or something to be stealthy, you're doing it wrong. CONSTANTLY stay on the move unless you have a solid hiding spot that ISN'T a corner. Run Urban Evasion 100% if you are trying to play stealthy. Against Doctor, you need to keep in mind when outside of his terror radius, your madness will DECREASE back to 0 of the current level, but not down another level. Sprinting or doing an action will stop the decrease. Just walk around and your madness will go back down.
Idk what time zone you are, but I would recommend watching my stream to get an idea of how to play like this. You are actually asking how to play the game the way I play it, so I feel you could learn something from me. Here is an example match against a fairly decent Trapper. Notice how me and him move around each other to try and mindgame one another, and while I do utilize pallets, I can hold a chase for 2 or 3 minutes without needing to loop.

I have son. I made a petition on the Steam forums that got almost 4k comments, but no dev action despite them knowing about it. I had to go out of my way to get a response from them.Shadoureon said:@weirdkid5 said:

An idea could be that the devs add in game mics like F13. And the killer can hear when people are talking.People will just use Discord like they do now and like they do in F13 if they dont want Jason to hear them.
To the OP. No. For the 300th time, no amount of BP compensation will be enough to persuade Killers to play with SWF. Considering SWF issues are biggest at high rank, and most high rank Killers already have their builds, BP is pointless. This will solve nothing.
It will solve things slightly. Less dodgers at lower ranks. Try to come up with a solution instead of bashing peoples suggestion who DO try to make the game a better experience.
So you can stop that nonsense real quick. The bloodpoint suggestion has been ran into the ground a million times and will NOT solve the problem of balance, the devs had heard this suggestion since the dawn of time. It'll just put icing on the ######### cake. If you think that is bashing, then you seriously need some thicker skin.
Try to come up with a solution that will actually DO something thanks -

A lot of that is known and agreeable.
There is one huge red flag in there
"Doc is OP" He's mid tier at best.
Doc is op at lower tiers and on certain maps, Gideons, Lery's and even Haddonfield/Springfield if using extended terror radius with extended electrode radius.
At lower tiers. As in he does good against bad survivors. That doesn't hold a birthday candle to the term "OP"
according to that argument, Freddy is "OP".
Exactly. You cannot say Nurse is fine and then immediately say Doc is OP lmao
Show me where i said in that post that nurse is fine again? If you're referring to the op that's different.

Honestly the DbD version of Michael's theme is probably the best version that exists.Runiver said: -

They should post a Q&A thread in the forums whenever they do, but I'm not sure if they do that here yet. I know they do it on the Steam forums and Reddit I think.
Next week, check the Discussions page for Dead by Daylight on Steam and look for the Q&A thread in General Discussions! -
It is legit. I currently run my game at 144fps. It used to be difficult to make it run so, but they updated the game files to make it easier.
Do it up mang -

The game is also easier as a Survivor.
It's fine how it is. The Killer has to deal with 4 rascals running around, whereas a survivor may never even encounter the Killer. -
The little numbers you see pop up next the the categories when you do something are the Bloodpoints you are earning.
An overall counter popping up would honestly just obscure the HUD more. Personally I'm fine with it being somewhat of a surprise at the end of the game.
What I would rather see is Emblem Progression pop ups. -
It'll probably be purchasable through Steam wallet as a premium currency.
-
This would be a good way to fix it. Most people suggest spawning the key in the basement. Not sure why they didnt test this in the PTB, it is simple and easily fixes the entire issue.
-
Dude you arent the first to have this idea lol I made a petition suggesting this same exact thing on Steam forums that garnered nearly 4k comments. It is single handedly the largest DbD thread that exists.powerbats said:I don't want to derail this anymore than it already is but why not make 2 queues, one for hardcore ranked players and 1 for casuals? That would probably have to wait until after they rewrite the code but balancing would be a lot simpler. Although that'd probably bring the WOW arena issue into the game where the highly skilled and geared killers/survivors go wreak havoc in the normal game modes.
The devs know of its existence and I have spoken with @not_Queen personally about two queues.
As much as I think it would solve the problem, they don't seem to actually be interested in doing this despite a good number of players supporting it. -
What Rank are you playing at?
You also gotta consider you are currently playing during off peak hours. -
I agree 100%. Once you have all perks, survivors are just skins.
Either each survivor should have their own passive abilities, or you should only be only to put on ONE teachable from another character in your loadout. -
No it is not. Camping is a viable strategy, the devs have stated it numerous times. It was stated in Dev Diary 3 before the game released that camping was intended. The old Tutorials clearly stated to sacrifice Survivora "keep them on the hook" aka camp them.
Camping is not bannable, has never been bannable, and never will be bannable. It sucks to get camped, but you need to improve your gameplay to simply not get hooked. If the Killer downs you, he has defeated you. It's up to him and your team of you get a second chance.
Here is a YouTube video of the devs confirming camping is valid. This will not change:

This was supposed to have been fixed in the double pallet update LOL
It still happens sometimes and I think they consider it a bug. What a nightmare for the Killer -
It makes sense, the perk doesnt grant you aura reading unless a certain condition is met. That condition being the Killer breaking a gen.
The range of the aura read itself is infinite if the Killer decides to go to the either said of the map quickly, therefore open handed doesnt affect it. It would not increase the range of the ACTIVATION, which is what I think you want it to do. -
Exclusives are hit and miss. Fortnite is like that with the Battle Pass, as are the seasonal weapon skins and ranked charms in SiegeNickenzie said:
I would definitely want that as a alternative! It's seems fair to earn it and it's not timed event in which you have a certain amount of days to unlock it.robin said:Personally, I would keep the legacy skin exclusive to the people that originally got it, but create a new skin for each character with some insane unlock requirement. Maybe the same skin but make it glow blue instead of yellow, or something like that.
-
They are mocking the Huntress by ruining the traditional Russian Leg Dance. This has caught on with the fellow Survivors and everyone now does it to mock their Killers.
-
His base transition speed is abysmal. You can actually get people off the ground before he can put the healers to sleep, which wakes up the downed guy. They could keep this going for quite some time.
-
I think this is interesting an worth throwing into a PTB just to test it out. I'll throw this suggestion at one of the devs for you. +1

-
Boil Over is the only one I kinda enjoy. It should be a counter to Iron Grasp in all effects, including wiggle speed. But if that were the case, against a non Iron Grasp using Killer, it would make DS quite annoying to deal with.
Then again, DS needs to be axed anyway
-
I mean you don't even need to do that for Clown. If you just camp the pallet as soon as you get to it and drop it, the fact he now has to go around or break the pallet offsets whatever the gas might do, unless he's stacking all duration addons.Leatherbilly said:The Doctor has the same exact counterplay as the Clown. The Clown gasses a loop? Move to the next one. The Doctor shocks you? Calmly walk to the next nearest loop.
-
This would be great, but I doubt this will happen anytime soon.
-
The only way you can report currently is to have the match recorded from start to finish, and then once you finish the match, upload the video to YouTube or twitch WHILE STILL STAYING IN THE END GAME LOBBY.
This means potentially waiting hours for a YouTube upload depending on your upspeed. Once it is uploaded, you can then type the link to the video in the report screen in game. Then and only then can you leave the match.
If you leave without filing the report, too ######### bad m8.
It's stupid. -
Yes, body blocking is an intentional aspect of the game. It can be extremely frustrating especially when you get 3 full health Survivors blocking you. They even get points for blocking and getting hit called "Protection."
All you can do is just smack them out of the way run Iron Grasp to give yourself more time, or Agitation to get to a hook quicker.
Some people have suggested making Agitation oneshot while carrying a Survivor. Personally, I think this would be a nutty and hilarious change. -
No matter how toxic someone plays, resorting to cheating is never the answer. He should just either slug him or facecamp him.
Cheaters need to be banned. You can't follow the rules when you feel like it. -
-
Your best bet is to gun down a single survivor and take them out asap, that way you can snowball a lot easier.
They're gonna get salty at you. Ignore them. -
Meg. Not sure why I've always went to Meg, maybe because she's a redhead.
I kinda have a thing for redheads lmao -

Yep, I did it for you. I went ahead and got rid of all the coloring except for one paragraph in the color text section to keep it as an example.
I will also be adding the emojis when I get off work tonight.

Also @Dragonredking damn good point. Completely changing Tinkerer is the same thing, they just didnt change the name.
The same could happen with DS. They are just too scared to lose them baby survivor profits.

The "problem" with DS is its entire existence. The whole perk needs to be canned and replaced. There should not be a perk for Survivors that literally rewards them for failure. That's exactly what DS does. Some people treat it as a free pallet stun, and others require it to even survive the game.
Such a huge crutch should not even exist in a game with the gall to have the tag "Survival Horror."
Well hate to break it to you but the Dev's have stated they can't get rid of any perks. I know DS is unfair the way it is, but they can't get rid of it now. All the people who have invested bloodpoints for it would all have been for nothing, and thats more so unfair. I did consider people like you saying it should be gotten rid of, but honestly, I think you killer players would have a much more easier time chasing and hooking if only one person could use it. then any other survivors who have it would hope they are far away from a hook, so they can wiggle free.
I'm not a Killer player. I'm a Survivor main.
The perk is nonsense and is a mistake and a blight on the game. They could remove if they wanted to.
They just won't because it'll make all the crutch using survivors leave the game. There was a time when DS didn't exist and it was much better.
If anything, they need to lock the usage of DS past Rank 15. It needs to get the boot somehow, and for the people who "invested" so much in it, I have some advice.
Try actually getting better at the damn game.

I know how to beat the Doctor. He just cramps my stealthy style, and the matches against him take far longer; especially if the others rage quit. The measures I have to take to survive mean I usually black pip, but I guess it's better than losing several pips by disconnecting. So you know how to deal with him.
So what warrant a nerf against him again?
Because you don't like it?
Basically LOL
