I don't really get what you mean, but my point still stands regardless.

Each game is different, you might get a strong team that can loop a pro Spirit for 5 gens, or you might get a 3 man DC and you get hooked with no mercy...

    It's unknown what will happen in a trial, that's why it's a M Y S T E R Y !

How can you not get it, you're either good, learning or trash, that's basically it, my games don't end up with anyone hooked, cause we know every killer counter and ready for any type of play, cause we've seen it all now, it's predicable as heck for us, only human error causes us to be hit and that's more range killers, but only the one time that happens

That's... not how the saying goes and logically works.

Saying something should work like this, this, and this is easier than actually going out and doing it yourself. Like, if you told an artist to paint this amazing portrait with all this detail with no prior experience in how to even paint... than you say it's easy is easier said than actually doing it yourself!

Like I said, every match is unpredictable and the choices you make can impact the match greatly... If you waste time getting every crate in the match while no generators are being done and 2 people are hooked... than you're risking those 2 players being killed on hook because you were looking for items in boxes, rather than saving them.

I couldn't think of the saying but you get what I mean lol, and all my games as survivor doesn't end up with hooks and a DC after gen 5 so I probably forgot a game plan for it

  • @FireHazard said:

Easier said than done, every match is unpredictable.

I find easier done than said, and most matches are predicable, the few that aren't is rare and only require you to only slightly adjust, relax and know where windows and pallets are and assume 3 things may happen, they ignore you, they break pallet/go through window, they go around pallet/window and act accordingly to the killer that's doing it, if they try going around pallet, cool, vault right over, if they break, cool, run, etc

She can effectively ignore almost every loop as well as apply massive map pressure and has great mobility on any map as well...

To say she isn't strong is looking at it the wrong way, she is strong... to casual and decent players... If you know how to face her and do it quite often than you'll probably have less of a hard time. If the Spirit is a pro than you'll probably meet the same fate.

It all depends on skill to determine how a chase will go, if the spirit is decent it'll be more bearable. If it's a pro Spirit with little to no room for error than you'll get destroyed.

You could just say "git gud" but than that wouldn't address the other issues she poses. The constant DCing from teammates, the hard reading and no downsides to her power, the ability to track you through collision and breathing, etc... While yes this stuff is getting nerfed, you can see why it SHOULD be nerfed in the first place.

Anyways, this isn't a Spirit post so who cares about her, that wasn't the main point about the post anyways.

She can effectively ignore the normal loops, but she has a different kind of loop that literally involves vaulting and no walking or running or crouching just vaulting....pallets, anything else won't work, for new players, any killer is the worst thing ever "plz nrf" whereas people who played longer can bully pretty much any killer if done right, spirit best chance is to destroy pallets or increase passive phase and trick people, that's about it, but with a bit of time with that, even that won't help, killers are quick to learn, what do they do, do it, survivors take a bit more, what does the killer do, who is the killer, how do we abuse the killer ability, how do I gen rush into a 4 minute game? Once you learn that, several times with each killer, then it doesn't matter the killer, GG 2 EZ

  • It is if you get a free hook from it

  • Has no tell you say, staying still is a pretty valid tell, the sound she admits is a valid tell, but whatever, she has no tell lol, baby survivors

  • I know you said this isn't a spirit post but I don't get how people can't counter spirit, she is super easy to, I get you said about teams but I mean literally, loops are even easier, just not in the normal way, and listen carefully, you'll hear her moving away in phase, vault to the other side slowly and bang you just wasted her time, up to her if she wants to try again or just destroy the pallet or try the same but come back, if that is used, listen to if she is and you'll just be there unmoved, and waste more time, when she breaks the pallet, run away, if she isn't moving anymore, stop running and walk backwards, and watch where you were running from, as soon as she reappears, run, other than those minor changes to your movement, the rest is just the same as any other killer, all you need to do is hope she doesn't use blood tracking add ons, then you have to make sure you never get hit and we are humans, it happens, that's when her ability is unbeatable, that's the only OP thing on her

Jacoby2041 would this be a good power and perks. Also vossler25 amazing idea

Thank you, i had to really think of the perk and power names more than what they do

  • If a killer camps and you get killed by them as a result, the failure in skill isn't the killer, it's in you AND the killer, tunneling is the way to go, get them gone for good

  • @StrickxNyne said:

OP, post a video of you running a killer like this. Screenshot your rank. I'm failing to believe you win more than 20% of your games unless you're quitting to get to rank 20 to in turn win 20 games and quit it up again. It sounds more like you're a sour killer pretending to be a survivor main who loses a majority of games. If you'd just start with the truth you'd likely get more help.

Unfortunately, I have a basic internet, and it's shared, so I run just over minimum internet recommended for online play, and I can not do videos, and I play Freddy mostly, I'm sitting mostly around ranks 3-6 rare but a few times 1-2 I did say this on here I believe, if I get the money for the internet (PS4 player btw) then by all means I will, then you can call me out from there, but I barely get by as it is

  • Chase and kill 1 survivor, well, quick easy kill

Camp, stupidity, punish it and it'll eventually stop (free gens)

Hitting the hooked is just the equivalent of teabag, except in hope of a DC if trying to just win and nothing else

As you'll see, I've done both sides

Teabag, it's called provoking, doesn't work on everyone but on most

Getting hit I think is more of a act of kindness, killer gets BP for it

DC is for the weak and trash and should be pointed at and laughed at, unless from hook camps, that's fair enough but could be more punishing and get BP by struggling as long as possible, watch the killer lose while you die, be hailed the hero of sir campsalot

  • Emblems has been the worse ever rank system I've ever seen lol

  • This could be abused quickly, stance 1 can be countered by urban evasion, and if blood, the speed can be completely abused, on the other hand, stance 1 as I said, the power becomes something killers will over rely on and survivors can just crouch to victory

  • I have an idea, BP is typically linked to performance even more than the emblems, switch to that as a guideline for now until they work out a system that actually ranks

  • I get this too and ask if they are joking when I'm right ontop on hatch or watching the heal happen, they go lol k den, I offer a rematch, funny when they cry after calling me a noob for using the exact same ######### and instead of being nice I dismantle them all, if they win I accept the abuse and move on, even though it was still a near perfect destruction, Freddy is brilliant for baiting a rematch with anyone having anything, the typical I see is key, 3 purple toolbox with new part and something else, lol well easy fix, swing chain and jump rope or red paint, ruin, dying light, thanatophobia, STBFL, lol and I'm the noob for trashing the gen rush

  • @PinkMochaV2 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/103252/survivors-are-over-performing

Your personal experience means that you are overperforming, not necessarily that survivors are overperforming.

Until BHVR releases stats for survival rates for the entire game, we are not going to know if they are overperforming. The last official stats we got had overall survival rates at around 40%.

40% is that with DC remove that and watch it skyrocket

  • @Monlyth said:

According to BHVR's internal statistics, every killer gets more than 2 kills per game, on average. So survivors are not, in fact, overperforming.

Ok, let's go off the new players and bump up to ranks 6-1 which I'm more familiar in, survivors almost always win, either that or my team is too OP and we need nerfs...oh wait that's still survivors, get a team that's often online, watch your win rate as survivor skyrocket, and killers plummet, and currently with Mori (which I admit as killer yes I play both, killer when alone survivor with my team) it is overpowered, I use it after 2nd hook on each survivor, I love the animations, and I'll do it near hooks or walk closer to a hook then kill

And now I can get old moonwalking legion’d by stealth killers, how Isn’t that a nerf exactly?

Legion isn't that weak, and only legion, pig, Freddy, can prevent total gen rush, and legion and pic requires to at least find them all and pig isn't the best at it still without gears, Freddy though, the only killer at the moment worth playing for a balanced chance, with add ons, no standard base killer has a fair chance Vs standard base survivors of equal skill and experience to the killer, it is a shame how badly they messed the balancing and the players has to balance it themselves with perks, currently the best killer set (opinion, this just gives the best time you could get) Freddy, swing chains and either red paint for first 60 seconds being better or jump rope for after 60 seconds which is enough time to pop a couple if they decide to 4 or 3 man gens, but the last few becomes horrible unless they wake up, hence swing chains is the must have, as for perks, dying light, ruin (we want to maximize the minimum) thanatophobia, and save the best for last or play with your food or BBQ and chili depends if you want successful hit recovery, speed or a form of detection that's at least reliable to a sense with BP let's see how long Freddy lasts like this though, personally as a survivor I love it

Jeez. Pure Comedy Gold. Please "keep it up".

Btw. if you 3 gen rushers "gen rush", why does your "runner" have to juke the killer for 12 minutes on average, if gens can be done in 3 minutes? Just asking for a friend.

Oh I missed this, I can answer really easily, we decided to be toxic for a month and not do any gens but see which of us was the best

Ehh the emblem system punishes killers heavily for using it currently so it getting nerfed like that makes it a hard and unnecessary nerf mist works with trapper hag and ghostface on non indoor maps the other 2 are useless

What I meant in those being useless is that your input with those as a killer could have 0 effect due to 4 survivors just feeling like "eh why not" or just liking to have it in that way, especially when I'd rather bloodpoints anyway over mist

  • @LordGlint said:

I find it pretty fun the way it is now tbh. Just wish the emblem system didnt completely suck. Had a game where I 4ked the other day with only 2 gens done as Bubba...barely black pipped. Today, I 3ked with Myers using MOSTLY T2 with all gens being done...almost double pipped.

It is a joke the system, you aren't wrong, really if you lose but played well, no loss but no gain is how it should be, wins should be the only way to get ranked, once the game is more balanced than it currently is, I do Remember a game that I basically followed the survivor guide book for killers to the letter and they still cried, I used legion, that may have been the cause of the salt

  • @Ramxenoc445 said:

Well people want mori nerfed because insta heals got nerfed and mori just ends the game too quick and is generally unfun depends how the killer goes about it. For myself it depends. If I'm already dominating the survivors then I'll use it on their last hook. If not and I'm getting gen rushed you get moried when or if I catch you slipping up.

That's why I say have it work only after second hook, no real advantage and a cool animation along side it and insta heals were just horrible, I'd rather another full DS team than deal with that as a killer, infact I'd rather have a toxic Mori killer running whilst I'm a survivor than the old insta heal

The whole point I was making was that chases last longer than 20 seconds, if nothing else than due to the speed boost and attack cooldown. You could put a golfball on the W key and have a chase last longer than 20 seconds against most killers. Im not even talking skill here. Theres only a handful of killers that can best the insane playstyle that is the golfball for a chase lasting under 20 seconds, lol.

The person I was talking to was trying to claim chases on average are 20 seconds...

I bloody wish 20 seconds was the average chase time

  • @terumisan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/829340#Comment_829340

That's a really dumb idea for mori since you could just hook them if they are already death hook

That's the idea, kill or hook, if you have dying light then is obvious what you want, but if that's not near enough then at least there's one less anyways, most of the offerings are BP or chests or mist or spawn locations, and ofcourse mori, mist is useless for a killer as you know, 4V1 chests are useless for a killer as you know, 4V1 BP is always useful, spawn locations are useless cause... separating them ends the game even quicker usually, so that's a game throwing offering, and survivors benefit regardless anyways, and map locations for a killer is useless cause ya know, 4V1 so Mori is really all that's left which is attacked, but most killers like the kill animation, and I use this rule typically, if not have what I said as a natural thing for the end or make it like devour hope only for the kill not the rest, devour hope is barely used anyway cause people just get totems done quick as they know the spawns, I just don't want Mori gone, that's all, the kill animation is badass

  • @LordGlint said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/829400#Comment_829400

Ok, cool. My whole point was that chases last longer than 20 seconds, with certain killers and situations being outliers. If you want to agree with me that chases do infact last longer...cool.

Yeah kinda was I worded it wrong, wasn't fully trying to attack just that spirit is easier to deal with than people think, not many people has really given it a try

  • @LordGlint said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/829350#Comment_829350

Your missing the point...As I already said in my post before... certain killers CAN land multiple hits back to back. I even already stated Spirit was one of those. Huntress doesnt have to deal with attack cooldowns with hatchets, nor is the distance an issue. Spirit can close that distance VERY quickly with her 176% phasing movement speed. These are not the normal... Even in the video your quoting here, the absolute fastest chase was 20 seconds...using a killer who can bridge the gap faster than normal. So that 20 seconds wasnt even the normal in the spirit demonstration.

Spirit can not do this if you play against her right, can't hit what you can't see, can find them either, spirit weaknesses are windows and Stealth vaults, when she uses her powers, otherwise it's a normal easy chase, honestly the only time she is an issue is at a gen, unless you use spine chill then off you go GG 2 EZ

  • @Zoldyar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/829336#Comment_829336

He done multiple test and he didn't even use the strongest add ons. I'm also talking about if a person uses a strong killer and play optimal with it. They can always or usually expect chases to be 34 seconds or less.

Not when you get to the shack then is long as #########

  • @Zoldyar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/828502#Comment_828502

Long period of time would be a minute or more if you are playing against an optimal team. To keep up with their speed you must be able to end chases in 34 seconds or less if I'm being honest. That might sound easy to say, but we all know that it isn't and that some can barely be able to finish chases in a minute.

I don't disagree with the gens speed being stupidly fast especially if a surivior brings in a key and the rest have brand new parts on their tool box. That is pretty much an instant win for suriviors.

Then again you must also look at the surivior viewpoint, when a killer brings in a Mori or a broken add on. You must also look at times in which killers beat teams faster than a surivior can do gens.

The game is pretty screwed up in how they balance stuff.

I've made tons of arguments for both sides, at least someone gets why, I'll complain both sides cause it's all really unbalanced, the solution is simple, after 2 hooks, have Mori be able to kill IF survivors that are injured or healthy that are too far away and if they are near disable saves killer time still admittedly but a killer is just that, a killer and have the key only work when 1 gen remains instead, but overall, due to gen times, and a strong team, killers don't have the time to even manage a hook, not cause they're bad but cause the maps are tailored to near perfect survivor movements, the shack being a prime example, loops being a good one too, at least the ease of it, especially when windows are involved, especially when there's multiple windows and you just have to switch between the 2 at times, with the pallet around, looking at the scrapyards mostly, putting the killer as they should to not be overpowered is easy, currently due to how overpowered survivors are right now, but here is the thing, when I play killer, red ranks, I normally win on gates or the 3 gen strategy, but for real, before I really get to a second generator, one gets done, the start of any game it's one gen done, nothing else about it, that's the fact, as survivor, I rarely lose, nurse and spirit the easiest, infinite loops, not from the normal way, from other means, but it's infinite, easy

  • @Zoldyar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/103252/survivors-are-over-performing

Gens can be done in 400 seconds if the killer does make to stop a surivior from gen rushing.

If you are a killer that can end chases quickly, a game can go quicker than a surivior gen rushing.

Moreover, Nurse hasn't been ruined at all. The only problem is the dedicated servers which creates bugs using nurse. Other then that, Nurse is fine if you already know how to use her.

Furthermore, killers such as Nurse, Spirit, Demogorgon, Hibilly, Freddy, ghost face and hag are all killers that can win games even if a surivior gen rush them. This is because they can put map pressure to prevent suriviors from doing gens and can end chases quickly.

Look at it like this, for a surivior to play optimal, a killer should also be playing optimital as well. For example, if a surivior can finish gens quickly, then a killer is expected to end chases quickly such as them lasting 20 seconds or less. Killers can also slug to help make a comeback and win games even if they is just one gen left. Gen time is ridiculous, but the speed in which a killer can finish game can be faster than gen time, so what does that say?

I'm just gonna say this once, if the killer manages to win quicker than 3 minutes, those survivors were simple trash, red rank I'm yet to see this happen, yes I'm SFW but we have an chosen runner, and 3 gen rushers, this person that runs can keep it up for 12 minutes average, if killer gets bored we are aware and we get ready to handle it, I can keep a chase for 6 minutes and of my group I'm the worse, spirit we can keep going infinitely, nurse, we can keep going infinitely, the rest is average 6 minutes for me 12 for my runner, worse chase is from hill Billy I average 3 minutes my runner 7 minutes, that's all the time any of us need and it's win

  • @GrootDude said:

You said in another thread that you counter nurse by doubling back and spirit by slow vaulting after fast vaulting a window. I can counter your tactic as nurse and most spirit players expect you to vault back.

If both parties aren’t dumb then they aren’t easy to counter.

I was complaining about it at the same time

  • Oh another one, as a survivor myself

Survivors are over performing please nerf

Like every game I play, survivors get a single generator done in 10 seconds and the gate can be done and usually is done in 3 minutes with a good survivor for a chase, and gates are open, how can any killer get anywhere? And for chases the shack is all you need and it's basically GG to EZ remove shack window or make vaults slower

  • Survivors tears too strong please nerf

Nurse and Spirit aren’t at the survivors mercy. They are the power role in a chase.

Lol k den, cause you can't just back track to a charging up nurse near the end of the charge or slow vault back to the other side when spirit is running around or back track to a spirit in phase to lose them almost instantly, if you say so bud

I run spine chill and can counter both. If you find it easy then you just aren’t facing good ones. You won’t convince me otherwise here.

Or maybe you ain't good or took the time to learn the OP counter she has, like most other survivors, your pick cause I've watched streamers when the top ones and I'm laughing at how crap they are over the easiest thing and I'm shouting at them to stop being a ######### I can see she is almost on you and hear it too, these streamers only seem to be good over the ones they cried about before or was already quite weak to do so, I'd stream and show you all how it's done, but I'm poor and can't afford that good of stuff, one day if things get better, I will, cause I've been dying to do it cause they all irritate me at the noob moves they do at red ranks FFS

  • Freddy (he can get so much time it forces people to play differently cause gen rush is near impossible or forces you to fail a skill check alerting your position, or waste time going to the alarm clock)

Myers (a good Myers loses 2 gens but can wipe a team shortly afterwards especially with the tuft of blonde hair)

Wraith (sonic the hedgehog got nothing on his speed, and he can see you very clearly)

Cannibal (insidious can be a ######### to deal with, and I lost my whole team cause of it, and my luck with hatch spawns are terrible and is hit 5 seconds when it's available)

Hag (even at red ranks I get people with the IQ of a tooth brush, seriously, why are you running? Why are you running? They don't at hooks but gens they do, why?)

Trapper (not normally losing to him but, 4 am he is the worst to go against, cause you are semi looking but unlike the hag where urban evasion will just nullify her usefulness in searching for people, you'll still get caught, but any other time he a joke)

Legion (the start of a chase can be quite quick and delay gens, if done right, don't use deep wound for the chance of a free dying state, use it as s free 10 seconds of peace while you chase the last one you hit, it's small but can make the difference, and no perk gonna help you with that)

Hill Billy (only due to how rare I see the add ons that help him turn do I rarely see him win, in my games, he can charge quick but you just turn if he on you, and no vault or anything nearby then yeah he gets you but, that's only gonna happen when from some gens or you're stupid)

Huntress (you want a real pallet and window killer, here, she is useless any other time and forces you to pick your vaults carefully, otherwise you die)

Pig (with spine chill it helps but if done right, ambush can end a chase very quickly even with it)

Ghost face (spine chill GG too EZ but I did make one mistake which cost me the game, I was never a cocky toxic survivor since that day)

The rest are too easy to beat and I'm yet to lose too

I usually avoid saying something like this but. You’ve never faced a good one. They dominate red ranks for a reason.

I'm a red rank, I just wasn't carried there and went against alot of nurses and spirits so I've learnt how to counter them, and it's actually really easy, nurse you require alot more precise movement I'll admit, been hit enough and hooked once by nurse and then just adapted from there along side the higher ranks, if it's those 2 I'll hunt s d bully them for thinking their some almighty God, I assure you, though, spirit is the easiest win ever, her power is useless once in a chase or Vs spine chill (main perk I use cause I try to be the one chased and this gives 6% vault speed when killer looks at you in 32meter range which in a chase, they are) and I have resilience (injured gives vault speed) my fast vaults are 15% faster when injured and looked at by killer, add that Vs spirit trying to walk around (which is obvious with spine chill telling you pretty much) the pallet of window you slight vault over and boom, that's her now having to become a normal chase killer at the shack of doom where if she phases I'll be impossible to get cause I'm now over a window of they think to do that, spine chill has alerted me so on her appearance she looks at me on the other side, spine chill is basically the main thing here, it does it all, and due to it helping in chase and Vs the undetectable status, it's almost a must have perk, I use it always for the early warnings, I'll put my top killers based on my win to loss as survivor in my next comment and a short reason with from all rank 6-3 matches

Nurse and Spirit aren’t at the survivors mercy. They are the power role in a chase.

I'm yet to die to either of them, too easy to counter

  • I'd have to put Freddy on top, I'm yet to lose with him, red ranks are gen rushers, Freddy is anti gen rush, people actually has to play against the killer, Freddy is the only killer not at survivor mercy, at the moment, and that's bad, survivors should be at killers mercy

  • No mither players I see all the time with gen rush abilities, I'd think it would be stupid to 1) miss out on easy sacrifice, 2) go for anyone else until that one is dead, they must die, to quickly have only 2 on gen and 1 for the chase just like that, 3) it's funny to make people cry as a killer, it's kinda the idea

You kinda prove my point here. No one can 4k 100 games in a row, but if they were going to try Spirit would be the only killer they try it with.

Not true, trapper is way easier than spirit to get that

  • @[Deleted User] said:

If the Spirit isn't over performing then prove it to us. Play someone like trapper for 100 games and get the same kill rate.

Ok, I've done near enough the same for both trapper and spirit, trapper wins, trapper is stronger

Although in my honest opinion, I do feel Mori's and key/toolboxes are all looked at because all speed up objective completion.

Hmm, but I want people to read it all, no point writing it out otherwise, anyways, I was just saying to up the amount needed, cause getting a Mori is a waste of BP right now cause everyone insta DC unless they are a good player that deserves a good vote, cause, ebony is rare to start with, and is a fair bit of BP to just waste, I have no issue with a key, still needs 3 gens, and I just got to hunt the key holder, it was an idea to at least make it feel more enjoyable for both killer and survivor, cause hook and insta kill isn't fun more survivors and as a killer, not so fun myself, hence I tend to take it, but not use it for the sake of using, hell I used the Mori where you only get to kill one and all DC then call me tons of rude names I couldn't kill the rest, just the one, this style of Mori I feel both sides could agree to, a killer needs to kill, they want blood too

  • SFW has a way to be easy, I wiped out a team of reds with Myers, only needed exposed once to help the start of their doom, dying light, thanatophobia, ruin (just an inconvenience for reds but, especially when dying light and thanatophobia is active, makes the difference as that really limits what they can get, regardless, it makes powering through a pain, especially if it's ignored like reds seem to do for some unknown reason, then you got 6 tokens, and possibly 4 injured (thanatophobia, obsession kinda worth hitting when you hear this number) you get gen speed slowed down by 40% better yet someone does something stupid like DS, ok lol I have no interest in you, and thank you I'll go get an extra 2 tokens, get 48% then that's the limit, cause then you get everyone one by one, that's a hook, but no more injured, stays at 48% now the 4th perk, save the best for last ofcourse, chases are way quicker when you pause for just under half the time, if not, maybe, brutal strength, idk, 4th is down to you, unnerving presence might be useful, you want something to help chases actually

  • I wish they all had lines, especially Myers
