Anybody can play without Hex: Ruin, thats not the right question to ask. But can you win or have fun ?

I'd feel much more confident not bringing Ruin if I didn't have an unhealthy attraction toward low tier killers and some of the maps where not so survivors sided to a sickneing degree.

    Which killer you play most?

  • For a long while I rarely used ruin and reach rank 7 and sit back and forth with 6 and 7 sometimes hit 5 then back to 6 then 7 but I didn't use survivor often, after which I learn the strongest builds for killers, ruin as a huge part, it's a free overcharge randomly but without the explosion, especially when it hits people rapidly, as a survivor I had 5 skill checks 5 seconds between each other and God damn was that annoying, bulked my killer to bounce in rank 3 and 4 until I learnt mega combo perks that make ruin more annoying and then just being a survivor depressing, I put the 2 main builds up somewhere one being pretty free for any add on for killers not changing too much except chases and another that can and has been a nightmare that either leaves you just dying or if lucky and quick enough laughing but more on the dying side, one is all hexes, one sort of pushing you to get fixed, another making that a real need for getting fixed or just die, another that is in 2 places that could give you the worst 60 seconds of the entire game, and another telling killer that you are trying to solve the initial problem, 5 lit totems baby and 1 does nearly nothing to benefit survivors, 2 that means death 2 that will save your life, and my favourite build ever, super rare I lose with it

  • Killer hooks prey, another prey appears too soon, killer gets that one or baits another prey by turning around and going to hook and manages to grab prey, gets them hooked, both survivors DC and message you to hell with "tunneler" "noob" "trash"

That's the average game for a killer that dominate people with the most simple trick yet, thing is, if you lose to a killer to a method you believe was trash or noob play, does that by that point say you openly admit you're worse than someone that's a noob? if you win by all means say whatever, but if you lose, then, that makes you an even bigger noob, does it not? Tunneling and camping can be punished, but tunneling is harder to punish and camping isn't really a great strategy, unless in the basement, then camping nearby based on map is the strongest possible, especially when 2 is down there

  • I don't get the issue, around 20 seconds I get a killer lobby 2 minutes for survivor, might be the times you're going on?

  • Toxic is an understatement to the highest degree, killer mains can see the damage they receive and survivor mains see the damage they receive whereas those that swing both ways just want to enjoy the damn game haha, I play both but will lean slightly to killer arguments, survivors definitely end up getting most of the benefits as killer nerf happens more commonly when survivors cry, but less often for killers, but it does happen, I say around on average to what I've noticed both as killer and survivor about every 4 survivor benefitting updates killers get 1 the worse is ofcourse, generators, I think gen times should be killer reflected, slower paced killers (pig, hag) gens takes slightly longer (not 20 seconds but 10 it's not a huge impact for survivors i'd think but enough to give a killer a chance to get to the other side of the map if survivors start there cause that free gen is BS for killers to deal with) for mid pace killers (trapper, doctor) 5 seconds (they, may have the top base movement speed but they don't have any speed increasing skills) and fast pace killers (hill Billy, wraith) 0 seconds as they have the ability to be across map in quick succession, wraith with actual control and hill Billy with less control but yeets himself to the other side, that way, some killers see the outside more, very rare do I see pig, clown, legion, because gens are too quick for them, they just can't cope without specific mods but then adding them to any killer still makes them worthless, this at least balances it, gives survivors more of a scare for slow and weak killers and keeps strong and fast killers as they are, which then benefits the entire game cause when the rare few come out they end up extra run down cause not many people remember how to deal with them and will keep them guessing who is coming up even more, learning ways around the game more, recent thing is spirit, they say she has no counter, that's cause they aren't smart, trying to get over confident at pallets then end up dying cause she went round in phase realm, instead of just getting away, or continue sprinting when she suddenly stands still allowing her to catch up quicker and you not know where she is instead of stopping and going sideways at walking pace then hiding behind something then successfully getting away 8/10 times, instead the stupid survivor mains cry cause they can't work out simple things and think pallet loops are all you need, which for most killers are true, which is why they don't like spirit haha

TLDR I agree and both sides need to stop crying and play with the killer they cry over to learn them from them

  • Spirit is fine, as a survivor rank 8 whom played Vs her many times, she was easy to counter by simply not trolling and know the tricks which is best learnt by being killer main (rank 3) if she stands still at pallet, she is actually moving around, or hoping you think that and try pallet spamming, if she is chasing you and suddenly stops, she is either drastically catching up which you just either stop sprinting and walk behind anything and crouch which then you have successfully escaped the chase but now need to remain hidden whilst being searched for or if the killer expects that uses it to find your spot and get a hit if you mess up as the survivor, she is honestly a mind game, one you can take advantage off or be taken advantage off, "no counter" the counter is literally just a switch in chase tactic to the situation, loop as usual or take advantage of not being seen when she enters the phase realm, she is probably the most balanced killer, for higher ranks, lower ranks that are learning to counter will as usual to any killer, fail, lower ranks are easier as a killer mid ranks are easier for survivors, top ranks are easier for whoever is smarter, which can usually end in survivors favour as killer has to deal with 4 smart players or have a SWF and have 2 new players or standard idiots and 2 smart there is luck for the start aswell and after a hook, example, starting near TR or killer turns the direction you are coming from to unhook someone, that's 2 hooks for pure chance, or start far away and get a free gen cause gens are quick to repair, TLDR spirit is balanced when smart, Devs tend to pander to survivors but not the way die hard killers make out, gens too quick
