  • Cause he has a counter you can maliciously exploit, I'm not good at it but if done right can make his sprint be his downfall and lose you as quickly as he finds you

  • I'm an opportunist and exploiter (of stupidity not the game) if a killer is coming to gen I use urban evasion and just go round the gen and trees, if I do it right I get away from killer...sort of, I just go on the gen he just kicked and finish it when im not in the TR to give time to urban evasion away

Her footsteps are negligible, because you can only hear them after she's too close to you and can already hit you. If you're talking about the whooshing sound well you don't hear that while in terror radius, making it useless in chase. And even when you do hear it, all you know is that she's coming, and then you have to make a guess and go somewhere hoping she won't get you.

So how can I do it but not you? Lol

no tell when she's phasing and you can't hear her or see her move grass, plus she can hear you at all time really well done guys

Yes you can lol, im telling you as a survivor that frequently counters spirit, just stop using your eyes and use your ears, Jesus Christ it really isn't hard, how can I do it but not you? Cause your trash

  • DCing against a killer that's easy to counter? Sounds like you keep getting paired with weak survivors with no skill lol

The majority plays survivor, 4v1 remember? As survivor you shouldn't be able to 1v1 a killer and win because your a skilled player, what I mean is even the best hillbilly in the world will still lose against even somewhat good survivors, as spirit you can win chases even against the best is you make a correct play, if they slam you with a pallet and run you are a 110 killer that for 5 seconds is 176, she has potential to be countered, the trick isnt looping however.

You have to stay uninjured for as long as possible with iron will, you have to make her question where you are. Every killer in the game has the same counter as well, rushing the insane gen speed as killer it's a nightmare to see 3 survivors in separate gens, if you go after one you lose 2 if you go after one then to the next they get back one and you lose 2 gens. She will eventually down you but even a minute chase could be a gen or 2 out of 5, the killer needs 12 - 10 hooks. So please explain how she is unfun when she has counters? Oh wait its because you cant loop her for 5 gens just by looking at her right?

Cause they don't know how to use pallets Vs spirit (super easy btw unless she breaks it then it's a normal killer)

  • @Aldofer said:

spirit has just no counter play, sorry but red stain on window and "the glass glowing" are not feedback for conterplay, and you barely notice the grass moving, she need to be hit pretty hard, i say make thet you can hear where she come from, make that she can't hear where survivor at, and make her dissapear while she is phasing so you know when she his.

and please make it that she get a stunn when she hit like nurse have. that should be enougth for the basic the addon need rework too

What do you mean no counter play? I counter her all the time

No. Majority of survivors don't like her because the get ZERO feedback on what she's doing, so they're not reacting to anything. They're just making a guess. There's nothing to adapt to, there's nothing to learn.

Scott puts it well, even though I disagree with his proposed change. I suggest you watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZyG29POXJw

Accidentally hit quote twice sorry and 0 feedback lol k den cause the sound she makes is 0 feedback, she gets 0 feedback by your saying so still very balanced, use your damn ears, she has to guess just as much

  • I do however have an idea for gens, it's too easy for killers at low ranks, make gen speed based on average survivor ranks, quicker if all is 20 as killers tend to win when new at 20 Vs rank 20 survivors, and longer at 1 cause a killer, unless using Freddy, normally loses cause the game end in 4:00 flat sometimes quicker, killers don't get a huge bonus for high ranks, even with perks, but are super strong for low ranks, cause survivors get to keep their items when they win and not wear it out, killers always lose add ons and hope it comes back again, that's why I think gen repair speeds should be based on average rank, so those on SWF low ranks don't get carried and high ranks still has to try, that way new survivors get a buff and experienced killers get a buff in the right way, I present a form of solution to fix all the crying, or at least the bulk of it, it's only the bad survivors that get carried that will cry more whilst put back into their place, and more bad killers stay in their place

Why are you crying about killer nerfs in a post where I said this needs to stop?

Because it's impossible to end, it will never end, and cause it's unfortunately true

  • Get the unlimited timer add on with increase evil build up, permanent noed, add the play with your food, ultra noed, add some hell, use noed aswell, noed kicks in, ultra death noed lol, add some devour hope to it, after a hook for a small time, ultra death mega noed, not enough, put fired up on, 20% speed to all but attack cooldown and movement but to everything else, get the ultra death mega noed 9000, yes I tried this, yes it was fun, OMFG do you move, I thought for 10 seconds I was glitched in a lunge attack speed, then...I lunged, hard to hit but I'm sure the heart attack they got was enough for them, not fun all the time, but once in a while, Hella fun

  • I have to disagree extremely, she is awesome to play both against and with, how is she not fun? So far the replies I hear are just bad survivor tears, such as "I don't know when she is coming" like pig, ghost face, T1 shape, wraith "looping is hard to do" git gud, she is loopable, easily, just not the same way as other killers "power too strong" she can't even see you, if injured, it's the same as other stealth killers, they will find you, heal up, in a chase it's the same difficulty as any killer "gen grabs" firstly, open your ears she makes sounds in the phase realm and grass etc still makes sounds when being walked through, secondly, it's a guess for her as too which side you're on, thirdly, stealth killers can do the same but more effectively or do something even better such as exposed.

The main reason survivors are saying it's unfun is because of how rare she gets played and therefore not as easy to adapt as your set ways are stuck to you, she has many counters without perks and many more with, that also help with many killers, she is a mix of everything but not as powerful in each killer type, she can be aggressive, stealthy and controlling but not as effective as trapper in aggression, pig in stealth or legion in controlling

  • Then it isn't 80/20 lol

  • None, except cheats, I love tea baggers, that's a free kill for me, campers? Free win for me, tunnelers? That's basically a very effective way to get extra hits and kills so this is fair, anyone crying just needs to git gud, DC? I count in cheats, bad team mates? That's just bad luck oh well, hatch it is, other than that, it's all fair game, git gud plain and simple or deal with being bad at a game and try another game unless you enjoy a game you struggle with

  • @USELESS said:

Ok but how will i know that they are camping if they got insiduos that happen a lot of time when i am playing versus the leather face

Then die, lol killer doesn't care, you lose to it then you need to make a change to yourself

  • Play smart, 1 survivor sacrificed and 3 wins, that's camper slaying win though, tunneling, if done right, can be a pain, but again, be smart, end the age of unhooking lol, selfish but gets 3 people to win, so oh well

  • It's just killer tears that they lack the capacity to use their heads and enjoy free hits, anti troll builds fixes this with mad grit, that's basically just earning a free kill right there, a great build for transporting survivors aswell can benefit with the free kill this gives, agitation, mad grit, iron grasp and monstrous shrine are insane perks for hooking a survivor

  • Hell yeah, not for too much, but definitely for the regular players they'll get a bit back definitely, but I also think add ons and gear too, 500 per common, 1000 per uncommon, 1500 per rare, 2000 per very rare, 2500 per ultra rare, survivors can make an extra 500-5000ish (perks that put add ons on chest items)

  • I have 5 on both sides, I made a post to do the same thing as this post, check it out if you all want

  • Listen here, the community is way worse, if you win as a killer no matter how, you're automatically a camper or tunneler (tunneling is fine, if it works then it works, who cares? The salty loser survivors yeah but still) and will try to make you feel #########, whereas if killers complain then damn, how dare the killer, the 10 second gen repairs aren't bad, how dare you complain, I mean FFS before left behind got changed it was possible as last survivor to get a gen done solo in 9 seconds, with a team currently it can be done in 10 on 4 sided, 18 on 3, 26 on 2 and 40 on 1 with the right perks and a toolbox, but no one is going to try single gens so normally you have 26 seconds at best to stop a gen from being done if you're lucky it's only 2 on a gen, I had that perk that shows when 2 people are on a gen, within 23 seconds of the game starting, it was done and I saw someone alone shortly after at a fair distance from and during that time and the start of the chase, around 50 seconds into game time, second is done, around 1:40 the third, around 2:40 the fourth but I got the hook so some of that is one splitting to unhook, 3:00 unhooked, 3:30 last gen, 3:50 gate opened but I managed to get the same one hooked, hell yeah I'm camping that, I want points too, buuuuut nooooo as a killer I'm the noob for the game being done in 4:00 that's 1/4 of haunted grounds triggered effect then when I play with gen defilers (Freddy is the most playable Vs gen rushing, no issue with gen rush, just feel it's too easy to do speaking both as a survivor and a killer) using swing chains, jump rope, dying light, thanatophobia, ruin, overcharge I'm every disgraceful word and phrases possible cause their 4:00 game turned into 10:00 and they lost, only part of this community I like are those are play both sides

Ive played the game long enough to understand the game. I do well against spirit. Your missing the point the problem is that spirit is unfun to play against not that she is to good when i outplay a spirit which happens a bit i don't feel glad its just not fun.

Well we differ in that thought I find her very nice to play against and with, the gamble both sides take is exciting to me, and if you say 80/20 and now claim you do well Vs her, I feel you are talking nonsense now, how can you say you do well when you say she is an 80/20 chance? No, the 80/20 is smart killer Vs stupid survivors 50/50 when both sides are smart 20/80 if killer is stupid and survivors are smart

  • @ruler33 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/809306#Comment_809306

A mind game is when a killer and survivor have a 50/50 chance with spirit its like a 80/20 so not its not a mind game. Its not challenging for spirit its pretty easy to play no challenging

Then you aren't a good survivor, I base everything on games played, survivors can use the spirits power against her very easily if they are smart enough, use friends to help with sounds outside TR and inside TR then use friends to learn good ways to disappear from the killer if you would otherwise get grabbed, if you are really struggling that much, spirit is a slayer of the inexperienced and stupid, and is super balanced with smart and experienced survivors, the killer does pick which she does, but the choices can be heard, which if you learn you can exploit, whereas a killer at that point needs to work out what you're doing, it is a mind game, only advice I can give you now is, get more experience or if you have played long, git gud

  • Not had this issue, PS4, but my guess, reset WiFi or clean up the console, if it helps, I have a external harddrive that holds every download (8TB) and it's half filled, and my console has never been quicker, try that maybe (not as big as mine that was my friends and I being childish over money flex and 8TB was the largest at the time, I won btw lol you would probably only need a 4TB unless you have tons of games then 8 or larger)

  • 5% longer with ruin a little weaker, cause, balance, oooor buff ruin cause it isn't as strong and people make it out to be but is still heavily needed

  • Freddy, pig, spirit, huntress on S the rest idk depends on who you play against, that's my opinion

  • Quick change to sound, obsession makes sound when others are dead

  • Simple, blind buuuuut can see things based on movement, sprinting basically gives you away, walking isn't as bad but still not ideal, crouch is hard to find but when close moving will give you away, when found (looking at survivor when they are moving) your steps show where they are, add ons make this effect last an extra 3 seconds when survivor escapes, and your steps show your surroundings, still see auras but not the entire path to get there you have to work that out, this I see as balanced if distances are done right, infection as a power, when afflicted, you will cough to the same decibel of being in pain except it leaves a vibration the clicker can see for 30 seconds

    Perks

Hex:clicks- whilst active, TR radius increased by 7/9/11 meters after each survivor that "escapes" chase up to 3/4/5 tokens

Spores- survivors in TR makes more noise from gens, injured state and sprinting, sound range increased by 4/6/8 meters

Sound- obsessed with one survivor, obsession makes no sound (trump's all sound making perks) but other survivors make more sound of 5/10/15% after each hook stacking up to 2/3/4

Add ons- survivor can still be seen by own footsteps after chase slightly longer, moderately longer (1 and 2 seconds) stacks

Survivor afflicted by infection has aura revealed slightly (16meters) considerably (32 meters) stacks

Survivor afflicted by infection receives exposed (red add-on)

Infection areas show the area clearly (can see everything in the area you used infection)

Infection area is larger, slightly (2 meters), moderately (3 meters), considerably (4 meters)

    Infection causes exhausted effect

Infection lasts slightly longer (5 seconds)

    Any thoughts?

  • You look green

These don't change gameplay, these are cosmetics, and the price paid for it, you can get back with extra rewards, so it's worth it, this rift thing has been the best thing yet, the challenges and extra blood helps so much for new players to try each killer cause either 1) challenge said so and 2) the bloodpoints earned, in one game (bloodhunt worked out and removed) I got 135K with survivor stew or whatever it was called cause of ritual and challenge, with ritual removed each game currently can get you 95-105K max with survivor stew and a challenge, top stuff for new players, now, I can't work out the maths cause everytime I think I worked it out I'm wrong but assuming this is right, I think I worked out the highest possible bloodpoints available, no perks just offerings and how I think it works, 5 party streamers, 40K X 5=200K bloodhunt boost= 400K + 30K ritual= 430K + top challenge= 455K

My guess with the perks that boost points gained is around 495K or 655K or 855K but I still don't fully get how it adds itself, if it adds to base for gets added to the multiplier and bloodhunt but it's one of those I'm almost sure, assuming I worked it out right, just thought I'd put something at least interesting on this post lol

She needs more tells when she’s using her ability, but she does not need a nerf.

If she gets more tells she will be rendered useless, she has audibly cues and can't see survivors unless they sprint, give her more and she can't use it ever to her advantage and mess mind game tactics

The cries are normally counters, here, easy counters for both

Survivor, don't be dumb, she can beat t-baggers cause you don't realise she is going around but, a smart survivor waits a little then stealth vaults and now it's just the reverse and killer wasted time or walks away to somewhere they can hide, walk not sprint, double counter right there

Killer, play with this, she can make a 50/50 gamble stand still and have that cause a waste of time and make chases worse or they stealth vault over and you get free hit or phase around and get a free hit from moron's or find they now are the other side or hidden

Survivor, if the killer suddenly stops walk behind a rock but don't lose sight of the still spirit, that might be the plan if that moves again then sprint again you have distance, if she is lingering there too long start walking more to a new spot but keep sight on the spot, you have either just escaped or gained proper distance, if she appears at the end of your sprint marks unless hit, you have gotten away most of the time

Killer, if the survivor is far away, phase helps close gap, don't run it too long you'll lose them 100% or stay still and they hide you see where they hide, if they didn't stop sprinting then phase, you still overall close the gap and if they hide phase for a little to close that lost distance hopefully they went into the open and you can phase a bit closer from there

Survivor, use your God damn ears, she can be heard, at a gen if you hear her, stop gen and walk away from it, you get hit at least you still have a chance, she hits the gen, you have some time to hide from her then continue when she leaves

Killer, don't be stupid, use the fact the husk has TR be at a distance to gen and then phase, makes it harder but not important to hear and increased not make definite a grab

I have given you all the main reasons spirit is balanced as hell, literally each counter can be countered which can also counter back, depends on the individual skills and luck at that point, this is how I deal with this killer as a survivor and win more commonly as a result and what I do as a killer and win more commonly as a result, and the struggle both sides get when both sides apply this is intense but can lean more in survivor favour, as it can make chases longer, no change or very quick, it's who can trick who better, a gamble for both sides, where you can accept you made the mistake or laugh at their mistake

  • That's your opinion but I find spirit very fun to go against and with, unpredictable, but same can apply to her Vs the survivors, depends on how they chase, and use pallets and if you can play with her tricks and her play them for you to play with too, it's a constant mind game and can really help a killer or the killer accidentally help a survivor escape, best killer so far, this need idea will ruin her, I don't know why people are so against the best killer yet, cause you don't like the challenge? It is challenging for both sides if neither side are stupid

yeah, i've been quite doubtfoul about what addons to use, i usually carry more traps and then decide on what second addond id like to use

Well I hope the add on combo I said helps, let me know if it helps you as it helped me against the t-bag, I also think unrelenting and save the best for last helps with ambush as I think it still counts as main weapon, I think, not actually tested for some reason, I know mad grit and STBFL works well Vs hook block, becomes very funny when they rage over not being able to get free and the 2 rapid hits, but if relentless does affect ambush, it would be an ultra chase combo, quick cooldown and long dash attacks (pig ambush has the lunge attack movement speed for 2 seconds instead of 0.7 standard if cooldowns does work this could make chases much much quicker)

  • @wannabeuk said:

What gets me is the need, almost like a compulsion of survivors to wait at the exit gate and t-bag and flashlight click no matter how the game as gone, it's the same as those who will wait until you spot them at the hatch before jumping in, I'll never understand the need to waste your own time like that.

I've taken to standing near the exit gate and going "afk" the number of survivors who come back out to run around you is insane and every so often one of them ######### up and i get an extra kill.

also nothing better than having that survivor vault and start t-bagging forgetting your a huntress :D

Huntress new name "ultimate t-bag destroyer"

It's just that i pretty much play only the pig and i'm not so good as killer (though i'm practicing a lot) so as i'm progressing through ranks, it's easyer to get an "skilled" survivor that will make me loss time, and i dont care about that, you have to lose sometimes.

It's the mocking. as someone said, I never do it unless he's been tunneling and you still escape

Again, mocking is the best thing a survivor can do for me as a killer, it makes getting them much easier, so they can mock away I'll laugh in victory and salty messages from them, I main pig myself, she actually is even better for it, as that ambush with John's medical file and video tape, break pallet in crouch then ambush, 6/10 times it's a free hit but 10/10 you close the gap drastically and get them shortly after, so it's big win or win no real loss and both are common so it's fine to put dependence on it as you'll see alot of it in bloodweb if you do happen to not have those then bag of gears and box of gears should help get that edge for late game, but no good for chase, and you'll just have to be happy you at least get to be closer to them than someone that just runs

  • Spirit, currently the most balanced killer, and most enjoyable to play against, please don't change her, at least for console, pc I don't care killer is easier on pc and I don't use that but console, she is spot on

  • None, she is perfect to play against and with, she doesn't need changing

  • PS4 user, will speak for my Xbox user friend who played after updates, no idea what you are talking about I have seen no change or has my friend, might be something with your console? Memory space? Or the TV? Some games fps can be affected by the monitor, not by much but enough

  • @Fickta said:

Most SWF aren’t 4 ppl anyway, and gen rush isn’t a thing... it’s legit doing gens to get out. Basically the objective. If I hook 3 people in 4 min am I hook rushing? Lol 3 minutes is enough for a killer to at least chase and hook 2 survivors. I play plague and hag as my main and you legit spawn and walk to the opposite corner (after prep for hag) bc survivors tend to stay pretty close to where they spawn for a while. This game isn’t hard for killers lol

Easier as a survivor than a killer depending on who you ask even for those that play both, I play both sides, surviving is way easier to the overall, some maps however are harder but still leans survivor way, again, to how I've done each game, as a killer I win roughly 79% of my games and as a survivor around 86% gen rush is basically doing objective, but I must admit, it is a bit too quick,

  • @fahad0595 said:

spirit is getting nerfed soon. which is the most important thing

But why? She is the most balanced killer yet, she has many counters and can counter many, she is the toxic player slayer which is awesome I speak as both a survivor and a killer on that part, she is the most fun to play against especially with a good spirit, if she gets nerfed then bloody legion will outclass her, since the only way to nerf her if to basically give the toxic players their power to be toxic again, the fact you can't tell if she is standing for phasing is perfect for them to learn why not to be toxic whereas non toxic players wouldn't really be affected by it, but it stops looping a bit more, in a chase, if she stops she could be phasing or standing there tricking you to think that and you got to guess which one and stop running and walk simply to the side where you are wrong and now hiding from something now actually charging at you for a free hit or you're right and escape, the counter is to beat the mind games and be the better player overall

  • As a killer, it is annoying, but, it is a tactic, you are playing a game to win, if you are given the power to mess a killer up, do it, just don't cry when they mess you up too, as a survivor, lol do it again

  • I play both but I normally will play survivor cause it's so much easier to do only when I want to chill and not have to try as much

  • @MeridianSky_ said:

I've been a rank 1 killer and never used ruin. I've been a rank 1 survivor and every time the killer has ruin there's this feeling of having to do a chore and put the fun on pause while I literally scour the entire freakin map looking for one tiny one-foot tall totem.

I've had three games in the past few days where the totem couldn't be found by anyone and we just wandered around like idiots for a joyless 30 minute game. I'm not gonna play survivor anymore for a while, and I might not play DBD for a while actually. There's just been so many negative emotions like boredom and frustration that the thought of the game just seems boring to me now.

How about we do something about Ruin.

    X

30 minutes I'm still laughing, how killer not kill you all by then if you're all dumb enough to not find the totem within that time and on your last gen/gate?

  • The clear lie aside the comment is "I can't gen rush and make a 1 minute game cause of a perk that makes a match more possible for a killer, nerf the only thing that makes killer more playable" I know ruin isn't everything, but for alot of new players, Vs a SWF group, ruin is literally all they have to stop the gens being done before the killer can even find 1 survivor, for experience players it's just needed to give the extra time as it's good players Vs good players, without it, good killers still can do it, but that's cause they know survivor tactics but survivors know killer tactics

Rank 1 spending alot of time looking for a hex that shouldn't matter massively at that level, hit perfects or cope with 30 extra seconds of repairs, alone could be believable, I don't always remember totem placements myself but a while team? Get outta here, who carried you up there? Bet your average points per game is 9K

However there is something Devs could do about both ruin and gen rush at the same time, have gens take 5% longer naturally, and have ruin only do up to 3% regression without as long a pause, just a brainstorm idea, a 4am non thought out one, anyone else make ideas? That way ruin is still usefull but not as big a necessity

  • I play both equally, killer gets more blood on average, buuut if I want a chill easy game I play survivor

  • Oh and nice job on the recovery, that stuff always feel good

  • What's toxic about giving a killer an easier chase?

Those that teabag at pallets etc waste a few moments that if used right as a killer be the very reason they are now hooked, best one as a bag, I lured towards a pallet, although I think they also was aiming for that one anyway, they hit me, teabag, I placed trap, they still continued, then I went around, the first trap I set, which was on the side they teabagged at, I got a free hit, they went to pallet senpai (other sign was set behind a wall they moved whilst I was setting it) moved towards my trap and boom, dying, over a teabag, does this work often... unfortunately not as much as I like for the dying part but the free hit, if set right, more often than I thought, and does quickly end up being the reason they are dying after cause they couldn't survive a hit from a simple mistake or from another point I set up, I don't actively look for those spots, I do patrol to gens and place a sign where it looks useful, and try to lead survivors to them

Lol get stuffed 2 at the most if this were to happen, insidious free kills man, normally sat 5-6 meters, it's wider than it seems, let dumb killers be dumb killers, you get those gens while killer sits in a single spot, they'll soon learn, believe me, that'll be more effective at ending the camping, if it ain't a troll at least

5/7 of those perks is Noed…… I feel like Noed is a crutch perk 100% since it kinda rewards you for losing tbh.

Don't see it as a reward for losing, see it as a way survivors still has an intense moment of gameplay as once gates are powered that's normally when it truly ends cause health states, and it can be easily stopped anyways, I don't use it but it definitely keeps the intense feel alive at high ranks, without it gates power up and it's just too easy from that point
