  • Killers had bigger army when anti-tunnel and anti-slugging was on PTB.

Krasue is miserable, you can't defend it.

  • Alright, can't choose one. Here are mine:

    • New haddonfield - I loved the old one
    • New coldwind maps - I loved the old one for the dark vibes
    • Forgotten ruins
    • Greenville map - The Walking Dead variant

    Honouruble mention:

    • RPD when I play dredge - this one doesn't have good lockers!

Its nothing new people just tend to rush gens when they cant go next so easy same is happening all time when they face killer they dont like, someone like skullmerchant or ghoul.

Not really, they just give up, heal in front of killer to lose DS/OTR etc or they just stand still

  • @I_Cant_Loop said:

Krasue was probably A-tier in the PTB and then BHVR decided, puzzlingly, that she needed 50 more buffs that nobody was asking for. It continues to confuse me why the PTB even exists because it seems like every single time it’s either 1) the general consensus feedback from the PTB is completely ignored, or 2) if everyone is good with the PTB then BHVR decides they have to make 50 other changes that nobody was asking for.

I wonder if they would take stats from ptb and work with them?
If so that's not so smart, because no one really plays serious on PTB

Hens already put out a full video detailing how broken she is. If you haven't played against her yet then it does a good job of explaining exactly what's wrong with her.

    Wasn't he official consultant?

Something is wrong if consultant makes a video of a busted killer.

  • I really don't understand how can we still have vaulting killers… after the chucky scamper thing

This killer can infect you and immidiately m1 you for the injure.

Pallets don't matter, windows don't matter.

All you can do is die in the corner so she needs to carry you to the hook.

I literally made an adept with 4k3, it was the easiest adept possible.

I played more as a survivor tho and the matches were miserable, I didn't have fun at all.
This killer sees surviviors over the rocks, over other obstacles.
Doesn't need to break the pallets,
easily bodyblocks with the "flying" - the cooldown to her flying is very small, it lasts for a long time aswell.

I played on the gideon as krasue, never broke a pallet and chases lasted 20-30 seconds.

I didnt played against her but she cant hit you normaly like with m1 in the head form she has limited turn rate and its more like demogargan shread with less distance and little more control, I heard you can bait her same as wraith with more risk vaulting over and over but Ikd how fast she can attack in head form the idea of her power is like plague crossed with twins in the core.

Trust me, its very easy to hit surviviors as a head form

  • You used 1 in 100 type of example. Even SupaAlf said this.

You don't play against 40k hours lobbys all the time.

  • Oh yeah! I noticed it too. Toba landing, nostromo wreckage, lary's, midwich and crotus prenn are so often for me!

I hope they are not buffed… if we are buffing the maps, why do we buff the bad ones?

  • and why does this one place have soooooo many of those lockers?

they buffed almost everyone in the entire roaster, yet people keep consistently playing the same 3 strong killers with a few execptions like singu or drac.

pyramid got a whole addon rework, yet i havent gotten him a single time out of 151 matches,

knight got a rework, but after that hype died, no one plays him due to bugs.

and the new killers are either not that strong, so no one cares, or its a kaneki and they will play him every match because they can.

Because devs choose to not nerf the S tiers and people choose to have easier matches. We can't blame them tho

  • Just yesterday I had terrible match.

We were in queue, feng decided to leave the group, and then she got us again and stayed.

Meg said to her that she should leave, but she didnt. We got into the game.

First thing meg does is jumping in and out of locker. Gave up, literally.

Later on she was sandbagging feng, giving killer 3 man slug multiple times (I was the last one alive) etc.

If a gamer is ready to throw the match over such things, then yes - I am not solo queue'ing again.
Went for some killer games after that.

  • basekit buffs don't go live for now I believe.

I feel like they should have someone responsible for trying to maintain the game balance tho. Although, I wouldn't say there should be a full team. Just someone who actively coordinates playtests and reaches out to content creators/fog whisperers and potentially comp players. That way the game designers don't have to work this out themselves and can just work off what the 'balance manager' or whatever says. Just seems like a more efficient way to handle balance on a live service game.

We definitely don't want comp players to be in the area of decision making, definitely no.

Their matches are boring, repetetive and sad.

  • I mean if we get rid of pain points and frustrating things on the survivor side - I am fine with this.

I hate being sandwiched by the killers. It takes away the feeling of making impact in the match.

  • Playing killer when you both know what you are doing is amazing and fun, I am not gonna lie. It's somewhat refreshing.

Survivior gameplay on the other hand is boring, repeatetive, nothing exciting never happens. (reason why we have 500% bp all the time…)

  • image.png

I am not stopping until nerfs!

What does that screenshot prove? That Blight is a high tier killer? Does that tell anything about any killer? If you have a balance issue, how about asking for a nerf to Blight instead wanting to nerf EVERY killer?

That killers don't feel bad about hard tunneling. Even those high tiers.

Don't you think I didn't ask? I talk about blight, nurse and kaneki every time there is a chance on the forums.
Other people talk about it aswell and there is no action on bhvr's side.

I am feeling like playing survivior aswell, lately.
Especially after they announced the measures we NEEDED and postponed it to god knows when.

I can't play killer with 8-12 minutes queue time aswell. Maybe queue times will become better once 2v8 is gone.

The root cause of the problem is that people think “not having fun” is a valid reason for ragequitting.

But should people force themselves to endure unfun or miserable things? It totally is valid reason.

  • I tried sadako condempt kill with friends on PTB.

Condempt kill doesn't affect generator (don't block and doesn't give repair speed to surviviors) if you never hooked the player.

    Check your official stats again…

The box that says "Average Kill Rate" only appears for the Total Killer Stats. You won't find that box under any of the individual killers.

Similarly, the box that says Escape Rate with the escape icon, only appears for the Total Survivor Stats. You won't find that box under any of the individual survivors.

And if you had a problem with the official stats, you could have just scrolled down like half a foot, to see the screenshot that showed the actual in-game stats at 34 escapes in 66 trials. The official stats are still broken, because BHVR never bothered to fix all the bugs on their online website, so they aren't even accurate anyway… and people should either use the in-game stats or they should manually track their stats.

What you mean you won't find info on individual killers? You totally can.

I had a 70%+ escape rate for the month springtrap dropped and I played 50+ matches like he did in his post. This was not the norm for me and it was largely due to the number of new killers I was being matched with. This stat without the full context is pretty meaningless. I'd stake money on this being cherry picked from a specific month where he did extremely well. I could post my 93.75% kill rate on Unknown and act like I am some sort of god. Even though in reality I have only played four games on him. At the very least you need in the hundreds of matches to prove any sort of point with stats.

Look man… hag is busted, needs nerfs!

    but in reality…

    it has been one match!

Playing killer has never been harder. And now they intend to condition our gameplay and turn killers into mindless drones condemned to do the same thing time and time again, and loose.

Killers also have a right both to have fun and to win. Both sides deserve a shot, and this just makes it so only one side has almost all the shots, and it aint killers. You don't need tunelling? Good for you, surely you play S-tier killers or are hellbent on keeping some sort of moral code. But then, for a fact, I know you don't get into high MMR if you play something non-S-Tier. We cannot check your killrate as of right now, nor if you are saying the truth regarding how you play or how you don't.

But you sound like a survivor main, and perhaps some more time on the killer side in the PTB will show you how killer is now more overly complex. And if you don't want to play killer, then you are not suited to understand what our statement is, nor are you in a position to attack or defend it.

The evidence is there. Gather it. Experience it firsthand. Not just one match in the PTB, at least 5 or 6. If you can't, watch the footage. And then come with your arguments.

Why would you assume I am playing S-tiers?

Here are my stats, show me yours - so I don't assume wrongly like you did

    image.png

And last 30 days - I didn't play that much.

Even my perks are not super S-tiers. Chase builds are my preference.

have you played before 6.1? Longer breaks, longer vaults, faster gens, longer sprint after hit, longer hit cleaning-up animation, old BNP, few busted maps, green medkit which healing speed let surviviors heal during the chase, old syringes, old healing speed in general, insta-blinds?

At the start people could heal themselves before you finish hit animation with stacking perks, bpn would finish full gen automatically? actual infinite loops without entity blocker?

So just like how survs could do it to avoid sweaty tunneling and slugging?

I don't slug or tunnel and my kill rate is around 70%.

I always go after someone on the gens or the unhooker.

I only slug when I know for a fact, that someone is around with the flashlight and the person who died is on "safe" place for a pick-up.

You guys are not going against comp swfs all the time!
You skyrocket into high MMR just because you used dirty and cheap tactics!
Maybe you should not be there is a first place, if you're struggling without tunneling?

Lol. They've left Trapper in the dumpster for almost a decade. Skull Merchant was nerfed over a year ago, and all we've had to show for it is a couple MS Paint sketches. The idea that BHVR is going to suddenly start buffing weak killers to where they'd need to be to compete against efficient survivors without tunneling is absolutely hilarious.

    Oh yeah, trapper definitely sucks…

Except that's not what will happen. Do you think that the Dredge player is still going to play the game after this? Seriously? Any mid tier killer is now required to play flawlessly because they've removed literally every comeback mechanic that killers have. If you lose 2-3 gens in the first chase, what are you supposed to do? You can't tunnel anyone out. You can't slug for pressure. You can't hold a 3 gen and play for time, hoping survivors make a mistake. You can't snowball.

If you have one bad chase, you just lose the game. If you lose more than one gen in the first chase, there's really no point in still playing the game. Dredge can't physically generate enough pressure just by downing survivors because he doesn't get downs fast enough. So if you have a bad first chase, just "Go Next" by walking over to the nearest exit gate and spamming your power or tabbing out and watching Youtube videos.

Or just not play, which is what a lot of casual mid tier killers will do.

Or just become the tunneling Nurse, which is what the majority of the remaining casual mid tier killers will do.

In reality, if this patch hits live, you're going to see 10 minute survivor queues by Halloween, and the game will be Dead by New Year.

And if you think I'm exaggerating, almost every other asym horror game has died because the devs made the killer role feel weak and powerless by overbuffing the survivor role, so killers quit, survivor queue times skyrocketed, and the game died in a matter of weeks or months. DBD has, so far, managed to escape this fate, but I don't think you realize how close BHVR is dancing to that knife's edge.

Yes, I will be playing. I am having 70% kill rate without tunneling as a dredge and I consider her my main killer.

Do I lose? Hell yeah. Completed a match with 2 hooks yesterday, then won 5 more with 3-4k.
I am not slugging, not tunneling, just playing the game. Do I get hate comments, chats? Never.

Do I care if I lose? Nope.

You should stop caring that much about winning Timber, it's not healthy for you.

  • Laurie and Nancy in their grandma sweaters, definitely.

  • @HoS said:

90 seconds to finish 4 or 5 gens? Did you proof read yourself?
One gen is 90 seconds, there's three survivors at best on three different gens so unless you're chasing someone for 90 seconds (you shouldn't) without ever stumbling upon a gen being repaired, that would be three gens.
And usually people are grouping up, or healing, or on hook, or taking hits or… doing something else.

Last Stand earned through being in a terror radius is ass, because it's so free on regular killer and inconsistent against stealth. And it's free in both cases. It's really not a fun and/or fair condition.

    You misunderstood me.

What I mean is that you will pop 4-5 gens, before you are in terror radius for 90 sec.
Realistically you are not in the TR for whole 90 seconds while you are doing the gen.

  • I believe there is something you don't understand guys.

When the weak link is found, they are getting tunneled out! It's terrible experience for them, but also for a team they are playing with. Leaving a match in 3v1 state isn't possible, unless you're eternal/invictus/(insert comp team) members!

You only see yourself - you will have harder time because you can't make that scenario happen so easily.
It's not fun to get tunneled out and sit on a bench for the rest of the match, watching your friends play.

Killers massively started tunneling and slugging people, so other side, one that was on receiving end wanted this to change.
    You brought it to yourself.

    image.png

I don't tunnel myself and I am getting above avg kill rate, just barely, but I do. While playing dredge, pig, unknown and dark lord mostly.

  • @UndeddJester said:

BHVR have made concerted efforts to listen to it's community, after years of not doing so... why on earth would you want to encourage that, just because you happen to agree with this one?

Some examples of issues born of not listening to the community: -

    • Hillbilly being completely reworked to have the universally hated overheat mechanic, and falling from one of the most popular killers for both sides instead of just fixing his instasaw add-ons.
    • Spirit with no skill based counter play for years due to her non directional phasing audio, leaving survivors to only guess.
    • Pig being infamously nerfed on repeat despite being an already weaker killer.
    • Instablinds running rampant for ages.
    • Nurse and Blight being lightyears stronger than the rest of the roster and taking literally years to get meaningful nerfs.
    • Dead Hard and Decisive Strike running rampant for years.
    • The infamous kills = skill drama.

Some issues that have been prevented/resolved by listening to community feedback: -

    • Twins rework that would have made them utterly broken to play against.
    • The Thrill of the Hunt update that made Hexes incredibly oppressive.
    • The Mettle of Man meta that fundamentally broke the game.
    • The dismantling of the 6.1.0 gen kick meta.
    • Numerous perks changes since 7.0.0 that made overpowered perks more reasonable and rather useless perks being made far more viable, with more build options/paths available than ever before.

Now not every instance of listening to the community is good, such as the Freddy and Skull Merchant debacles. That's why it's incumbent on us, the fans of the game to argue and debate with good reasoning to the best of our ability....

Not every change in this update is bad, but not every change in this update is good either. Some changes have the potentialbto be great changes, and some have potential to be bloody awful... one should definitely not encourage the idea that players shouldn't voice their concerns and have BHVR just shunt everything through without scrutiny.

What about fog vials? Was the community right?
Now we just have an useless item that clutter the bloodweb.

I just believe that changes that they offered are good.

What they are doing is something bold, but definitely needed.

  • Oh no, game will thrive, seriously.

    Killers will have to adapt.

We definitely need to get rid of those "easy" tactics to decrease surviviors frustrations.

It's about time we get rid of cheap tactics that every killer uses most of the time. You will need to actually be good to win games. I love those changes.

For me? It doesn't change anything really - "friends till the end" have been choosing my next target after hooking for months now, so the changes won't be painful for me - I am getting free BBQ and better kicks, it's amazing.

  • Matches got harder, because surviviors became more efficient and started bringing good perks (they can't affort fun builds, because they will get tunneled by blight or kaneki)

They became efficient because it is the only way to win games these days.

Every survivior game, we go against corrupt, pain res, dead man switch + surge/pop/grim and on top of that killers are tunneling at 5 gens.

  • If anything, we should be buffing killer chase perks, to make them more appealing.

If killers with have lower kill-rates after the changes, they will be buffed accordingly, don't worry.

We just will need to give bhvr some time, because that will be big change.

  • Oh no, no way.

Why would you make survivior experience worse on era of DC, giving up etc?

Killers already have long queues! You want to play against bots?

    1. Base-kit corrupt is terrible idea - new players already have difficult experience.
    2. Stun duration is fine - stuns should be rewarding for surviviors. Especially now, that almost every new killer has ability to hit surviviors through pallets, windows.
    3. We don't need more then 5% regression bonus.
    4. This is terrible idea. Would change the game into free win for killers. Early kill is always winning condition, unfortunetely.
    5. Decresed attack cooldown with the speed boost would literally make people 2 tap in dead zones. NEVER do that.
    6. Vault are terrible now, we can't make them worse. People are getting stupid hits a lot of times. We need better hit validation, to get less hits through vaults, if anything.
    7. No, why would we make it more?
    8. Nope. It takes a lot of interaction for survivors.

Your take is actually bad, no offence. If we need changes, we need survivior buffs to make the gameplay more appealing.

Now if we want to win games, we need to be as efficient as possible. Survivors need some breathing room.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/454747/last-stand

I feel tha if the stun is 1s longer the perk would be completely fine.

Oh no, it's not about the stun duration. This wouldn't make a difference.

Lately a lot of perks need some condition to be met if you wanna use them - I think that's a problem.

Conditions for last stand are not okay - takes too long, reward isn't worth it.

  • Last time I voted for extending just because there was addition EXP bonus.

2v8 breaks 1v4 queues when it comes to killer.

When there is a lot of event, we have terrible queues for killers, 2v8 isn't different.
Waiting time is literally most important factor for a lot of people, especially those who don't get a lot of free time daily.

Killer queues were terrible for months, because of killer releases, lack of survivior content, back to back events (who would've thought that events are better for killer, when it comes to fun or even BP).

I can't really get my killer rank, milestones and quests because 10 minutes waiting time for regular mode isn't enjoyable for me.

I'm absolutely baffled at the community's apparent decision that keys are somehow worthless after being massively improved, it's mind blowing to me.

To the wider topic though, bloodweb clutter is still very much a problem. I actually like that maps, keys, and fog vials have much fewer addons now (though the map could stand to have one or two more for completeness), it was a good move to try and cut down on the bloodweb clutter.
Personally though, I think offerings are the biggest offender. There are a lot of offerings that don't really see use and only serve to be clutter, that system needs an overhaul.

Nah, keys are bad now, really.

Blood amber got massively nerfed and been changed from purple to iri. That's why people aren't really happy.

I would be fine if keys had more charges, iri wouldn't have downsides and the time was longer. I think a lot of people would be OK with this.

If it comes to bloodweb, I would definitely get rid of a lot of addons/offerings.

    I would:

    1. Retire all map offerings
    2. Reduce fog offerings to 1
    3. Redude luck offereings to 1
    4. Reduce same addons for flashlight, medkit, toolbox but increase their numbers. Why do we need 3 batteries for 2, 4 and 6 seconds? Make it one with 10 additional seconds. Same with medkits - make charge addon for 24 charges, instead of 4 we have now.
    5. Buff or remove the fog vial - it's terrible now, does nothing.
  • You can't really load the perk easily, if you want not to grief your team.

Unless you play midwich against wesker, hillbilly or blight - you can't have it easily.

1 … 8 9 10 11 12 … 22
