Yes, I slugged whole team. I am becoming killer main now guys

”if I can’t loop the killer for 5 gens by pre dropping every pallet what am I supposed to do?”

Be real tho. Those new pallets are actually 20/80 chance.

  • @random1543 said:

    2. I agree with

    1. as another commentor said they cant do much about, the best they could do is allow us to see exact ping in lobbies, if its too inconsistent we can leave the lobby

    3. they just need to stop the map weighting, there is no reason why some maps should be more likely then others outside new maps being showcased

    1. Except they did once. They've changed how hits are registered once and on the surviviors side it was amazing.
    2. Thank you
    3. Kinda agree. But if they do, the good maps should be more frequent
  • Have you ever been hit by short swing hits through the pallets?

I have been on receiving end and I am overusing it on the killer aswell.

This should be not a thing either.

  • @Leon_van_Straken said:

    1. Do you buy BHVR more servers? Since ping hits is nothing you can nerf or buff.
    2. Instead of just repeating it like a prayer tell us what should be done to these Killers what would you change
    3. What is a good map in your opinion? I like Hawkins is that a good map?

The game gets reverted so nothing changes at all. Game is the same as it was before.

Please guys if you want changes atleast say something where you can discuss about. It gets annoying,

    1. You don't need new servers for it to be implemented. They tested it once and went back from it.
    2. Blight: longer cooldown, nerf speed addons
Nurse: hide her aura reading while holding m2
Kaneki: Get rid of the auto-aim m2 hits, don't let him have free m2 behind the walls, don't let him get the hits if he is in the lower grounds like dead dawg saloon, nerf his vault speed.
    3. Azarovs, macmillans, ormond, dead dawg, asylums for example. Indoor maps in general are boring.
  • image.png image.png

Played more surviviors, because obviously - queue time and playing surv while waiting isn't really fun.
I am also the bloodpoints enjoyer, gotta make p100s somehow and this is one of the reason I didnt play 2v8 much.
1v4 BPS/cake party give a lot more BP.

I mostly play 1v4 tho or just don't turn on game while 2v8 is on.

You quque up at your own, nobody is pressuring you to do it. And you know that these Killers could be your enemys. But I will give you an example why "I dc because I don´t like the Killer" is a terrible take.

First game Nurse. "Nah I don´t like this Killer NEXT" (congratz you ruined the game for 4 other players)

Second game Blight: "Nah I don´t like this Killer NEXT" (congratz you ruined the game for 4 other players)

Third game Clown: "Oh I like to face clown, but my teammate hates him so he goes next" (congratz your game and for 3 players got ruined)

Fourth game Legion: "Nah I don´t like meding sim NEXT" (congratz you ruined the game for 4 other players)

Fifth game another Nurse: "Damn why again her?"

And so on. You would never find a match which makes everyone happy.

Banning Killers would be horrible aswell:

    1. Quque times would go up and some killers would never get a game
    2. How many bans should everyone have? 1? 2? 3? If they get 3 you could ban 12 Killers.
    3. It would be abused as hell by bully squads.

This would need some thoughts and could be implemented well.

  • I am totally against making killers 4.4.

I have p100 on deathslinger, huntress and now upgrading spirit - all 4.4.
Let me tell you, if you are not cracked at using your m2, you're gonna lose most of the games - because it's hard to catch up to surviviors who just holds W.

I am also maining p100 Hillbilly - making him 4.4 would be so bad… we already have purple addon doing that.
We can experience this and it is bad.

  • @Dem34888 said:

No, I don't think he needs to be nerfed, because there are SWF nerds out there. We already have M1 killers unplayable due to palletes change. Nerfing M2, which can do something at high MMR, will completely kill the game. And in general, people who play well on the Blight deserve only respect, because they poured a lot of time and effort into mastering this killer and his ability; mastering Ghoul doesn’t take much time

umm, blight is not that hard to master

  • So we prefer to punish surviviors more - I am not even surprised.

We don't care that a lot of people might not like to go against nurse, blight, or anything else.

Surviviors can't have preference, because they are the bad guys.

I've been proposing killer banning system, but everyone thinks this is a terrible idea.

We wouldn't atleast have that much DCs, if we could let people not to go against killers that they don't enjoy.

Yes, survivors are supposed to be the underdog, just like every horror movie and video game ever made. That is the entire point of the horror genre. This isn’t COD or other similar PvP shooters - it’s not supposed to be exactly equal on both sides.

You say “nobody wants to play that”, yet somehow this game has been incredibly successful for 10 years. How does that happen if nobody wants to play survivors? I play survivor and I have plenty of fun, so do a lot of other survivor players.

What specific issues do you have with the survivor role?

7 games yesterday - 2x blight, nurse, krasue, demo, myers and vecna

    4 games with insta DC

2 games lost with people just throwing the games

1 game with endgame build with remember me and tunneled out obsession

Every match was sad, miserable, without a point. I did turn off the game after that, I've given it a lot of tries.

I don't think I will touch survivior games without 3-4 man SWF in a near future.

  • Oh man, I hate 2v8 because of queue times. I just want to play killer without waiting 5-8 minutes for a match that can last less than 5 minutes sometimes.

I hope they don't make 2v8 week longer.

  • The truth is that good swf won't even let you tunnel. This was match against me few days ago.

    image.png

Those teams that let you tunnel someone are just solo queue players.
Those people are going to turn off the game after you tunnel them - that's why I don't do that.
I can just take the L, it doesn't matter to me.

  • They can't make survivior gameplay even more boring then it is now.
Longer gen time is not a way for balance.

  • @Vicc said:

    Hello,

I wanted to discuss the recent change in the Bloodpoints bonus for the 2v8 mode, which has dropped from 500% to 300%. If playing as a survivor in 2v8 now comes with a reduced Bloodpoints bonus, what’s the incentive to choose that mode? In regular matches, players (including killers) still have the opportunity to earn 500% with offerings like Bloody Party Streamers or Anniversary Cake.

What’s the reasoning behind this reduction in the Bloodpoints bonus?

Let me tell you, you can get more than 500% on normal mode.

Incentive in regular mode is most of the time at x2.5 - meaning you get 150% more BP.

You can get up to 5x109% (if the killer brings the cake, which they mostly do), which sums up to 545%.

Regular mode can be at 695% BP at this point, meaning almost x8.

  • @Classic_Rando said:

My guess is that the devs realized that no BP bonus no matter how large would help balance the queues. So I suspect they just buffed survivor side more and lowered the max BP bonus. This has felt like the easiest version of 2v8 on the survivor side for me. I’ve escaped most of my matches on the survivor side, and the few killer matches I played were extremely tough as gens were flying left and right.

I believe they know it matters.

For me it's big difference, because regular mode most of the time has 2.5x mulitplier and 2v8 has 3x - it's just 50% more BP.

You can bring escape cake and you are getting more BP.

  • @goldn_arrow said:

Also want to say I always keep up-to-date with DBD Youtubers… If you want to know how to play to what is happening, always search up Youtubers. They are the best to know on everything.

and that's why you think being a killer main is miserable!

Can we cut it with the false queue time narrative already. None of you have a clue what does or doesn't impact queue times. Unless you're ready to say removing the "Legion problem" fixed queue times, cause that was a bald-faced lie.

    @The_Count said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4027301#Comment_4027301

Survs complained about Legion (a braindead killer) and it got removed, but they forgot to removed the other more braindead thing: SB on command.
The queue times for killers are EXACT the same for me now as the last two 2v8.

Survs need more new toys each iteration of 2v8. That's what gonna shrink the queues, not making them OP with OP abilities only needing to do the equivalent of 6 gens from 1v4 to escape, making killer experience pretty miserable lately.

Removing legion was a good move. It wasn't enjoyable to play mending simulator.
I don't understand decreasing incentives tho.

There is no false queue time narrative, really. It's very simple I believe:
    - People don't have good enough incentives to play survivior
    - Sprint burst class is the best class - others are just meh.
    - Nothing gets added to survivior gameplay for like 3rd time - I know the herbs were there but just for one iteration.
    - Making BP as survivior is just better at 1v4 gamemode with stacking BPS
    - Less good items are in chests, we have really small chance to get the funny flashlight

The only good reason I can think of as a veteran is that I am not going against Kaneki

Survivior side doesn't have anything creative or enjoyable and people really want the only good thing nerfed.

If we give surviviors reasons to play then maybe queue time will decrease.

  • Yes! We should take away good/fun things for surviviors, so our queue times take 1.5h for a single match!

Especially after we lowered BP gains. Spoiler: 1v4 gives you more BP with 3x BPS

Bro it's so boring and tiring. Every time any positive change is proposed for survivors this old chestnut gets spammed. But there'll also be a simultaneous thread stating all the killers are already Blight and Nurse.

So which is it? Are they all currently Blight and Nurse or will they all become Blight and Nurse?

I totally agree with you! Most of the content creators are killer mains and they are really vocal about the changes - I hate it.

Hipocrisy is so out there - killers say there should be harshier punishments for people DCing, but don't understand why people are DCing. They don't understand that surviviors might not like the killer they play, the way they play. How miserable the experience is - "they DC and they destroy my BIG GUY experience, should be punished more for it!" and they play blight with 4 rergession perks, tunneling without a valid reason.

There are killers that need to tunnel and there are killers that don't. Surviviors understand that - if you tunnel them as a trapper they're fine with it.

I really want bhvr to implement those anti-tunnel changes, I really want experience to be better for surviviors so I can try to get my friends back to playing DBD with me.

  • Higher ping people should be able to play, but the hit registration should not favor their connection, meaning players with lower ping should not be punished with bad hits.

  • I mean he has some point.

Matches, tactics, killer being unfun for people really needs to be considered and changed.

  • So you want to nerf surviviors yet again.

    NO to everything.

  • Another honorable mention btw that was somewhat good for chase was unbound - we needed to pair it up with another vault speed perk to even get the value.

10% was meaningful, 5% is just not enough

Batteries included nerf was also not needed

Monitor didn't need the change - now it helps hillbily, wesker, kaneki - those killers do not need help. Pig, skullmerchant and others that have 24 TR needed it.

There is much more, but those were on the top of my head.

BHVR we really need to start making the perks meaningful, because every game is the same meta - pain res, dead mans, grim, corrupt, pop, surge, sometimes singular chase perks like brutal or bamboozle and that's all.

We are killing the variety by nerfing those perks - you give killers no other choice, because there is nothing meaningful to use!

Please, upgrade the chase perks for the people that don't want to rely on slowdowns. That's all we want, more dynamic matches.
    LET US HAVE A CHOICE.

  • @Blueberry said:

First the m1's lose Sloppy, then STBFL, then Monitor, now Furtive. Idk why we keep killing perks for m1 killers. We really just want everyone to stack 4 slow downs.

That's literally my problem. I used to play with STBFL + sloppy + surge + bambozzle or brutal - this build got a lot weaker.

Now I was playing furtive + nemesis + friends till the end + one good perk for a specific character - mostly sloppy, pain or surge.

So another of my builds gets deleted - I never really wanted to play 4 slow downs, because it is just boring, easier - guess now I will have to because nothing will be there to play with.

I really think that BHVR goes back with the rework. This was not a overpowered perk and it was a healthy one - we need reverting.

  • @OrangeBear said:

Because theoretically. You can now get undetectable with beast of prey off a unique hook, and removal of haste is so it doesn't stack

    It doesnt matter really.

Killer now will have really good way for being stealthy and I believe surviviors would prefer killer to have the speed for few seconds over really low terror radius

  • @CrossTheSholf said:

Furtive is amazing and then nerfing it is moronic. If should have the same effect but just not stack with bloodlust

I wanna say that furtive requires you to use another perk for synergy - it's never furtive alone

  • Oh yes! People are talking about this!

    This is actually important.

I would definitely start by reducing addons number! Make 5-7 addons for flashlight, med-kit and toolboxes.

Then get rid of map offerings, get rid of brown BP offerings and increase green and blue ones.

Make just 1 offering of each catergory - hook distance, chests, party luck etc. We don't use them - we don't need more than 1!

Honorable mention: make fog vial useable or get rid of it.

  • I just believe they should focus more on bugs. Act faster.

Houndmaster is still veeeeery bad because of the bugs.

The event offerings… yeah, we are buying a lot of those and never use them - that's sad.

I think every event offering should be for everyone, we should never have personal event offerings. Make them worth using bhvr!

That was another event that I only used survivior pudding, escape cake and anniversary cakes.

It is time of celebration! Let us have a little more.

I am a very casual player, play solo queue, and most of the time if a killer is tunneling someone in my matches as long as the person being tunneled is decent at looping and everyone else stays on gens, it’s almost always a 1K or maybe a 2K if someone makes a mistake in endgame or killer has NOED. Tunneling isn’t an issue if you can keep the killer busy for more than 20 seconds.

    I believe that too!

Also, one DS really changes the match in favor of surviviors.

The only thing with the solo queue is that people will sometimes throw the match over a quest, do dumb play/stuff etc.
If you get decent people that are somewhat efficient, then you can easily win solo queue matches - I really mean in.

I've been challenging myself to do solo queue matches more frequently lately.

    Buddy, it's a 1 vs. 4 game, you know?
When the killer goes after the one survivor, it's not fun.
I have different builds, I have a huge selection of perks, why should I limit myself to a specific set of perks that ultimately won't save me from targeted tunneling/slagging anyway?

And I'll repeat this for you personally, since you apparently don't read my messages - I see NO POINT in sweating like it's a tournament when the killer is MAKING his gameplay as EASY as possible, you know?
Victory should be deserved, and camping, tunneling, and slugging are abuses of obvious flaws in the game to gain an ABSOLUTELY UNDESERVED advantage available to any noob with 0 hours in the game.

Those are tactics that could easily be played around by:

    1. bringing strong perks like DS, shoulder, deli, unbreak/exponential.
    2. being smart on the unhook - waiting for the last possible second and doing gens when killer is camping
    3. if killer is camping you have 130 seconds to do the generators, let someone go 2nd if needed.
    4. do the gens separately, that's the easiest way to apply pressure

If noob with 0 hours in a game is trying to chase, tunnel, slug or camp, as 9k hours player you definitely should know what to do.

As a survivior I like when killer is tunneling me, I am getting the most entertaining thing in a game - CHASE!

Both killers and surviviors want to win in a PvP game, you can't blame them for that. It's a game and you have to get used to those "tactics", pace of the matches and everything involved.

The faster you accept it - the faster you will find enjoyment in a video game.

Some killers just can't keep up and it's okay for them to use those dirty tactics.

  • Also, why is tunneling a problem for your if you claim to have 9k hours?

I win 3v1 games because my ability of looping. If you're that experienced you would never lose most of the games.

  • @KEYKYNTAK said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4022963#Comment_4022963

Believe me, my young friend, I play well enough, I have 9,000 hours in this game.

But I see no interest or point in sweating like in a tournament trying to outplay purposeful tunneling and slugging while the killer makes the gameplay as easy as possible for himself, to the level of a 3-year-old child.

I believe that both sides should try to win.

Unfortunately, this is not the case in DBD.

Absolutely one-sided permissiveness gives killers the green light for the dirtiest and easiest gameplay available to any beginner with zero hours in the game.

What motivation do I have to try when the killer wins just because he chose to play as the killer? It's absurd. It shouldn't work that way.

And I have 11k hours, little friend - you won't be able to dismiss what I say by telling me about your hours.

Am I sweating with enduring, brutal, forever entwined and deadlock?
Does that seem like an overpowered build? I would never say that.

Do I play as I would on a tournament? Never - my team's discord calls are usually laughs and chit-chats and yet I've got those stats past 30 days:

    image.png image.png
  • BTW, I really believe that people should actually stop caring about the winning - when I do that, I mostly win games.

I've been playing wesker past week, most of the time, wanna see my build?

    image.png

Yeah, I am going for surviviors, not for the gens. Trying to learn hug-tech, insta hug-tech etc. But I still win most of my games!

    image.png

We just need to stop overthinking this game. Just play it, get better with time.

You lost the match? Ok, go next. It's really that simple. Overthinking that is a killer of joy.

  • @KEYKYNTAK said:

Do you understand that people are leaving your game because they don't enjoy playing a game where, in the vast majority of matches, they are stupidly camped, tunneled, and slagged?

Why can a killer play as dirty as possible, but I, as a survivor, can't instantly die and give the hatch to the last remaining teammate while the killer who wants to kill everyone and deprive the last survivor of even a 50% chance of finding the hatch is slagging me?

Why is the threshold for entering the game as a killer so different from the threshold for entering the game as a survivor? Why can a killer get away with making their gameplay as easy as possible by destroying the basic gameplay of the survivors?

    Personally, I don't care which skin I'm in, I'll get tunneled/slagged anyway.

Give people the opportunity to play against AI killers, and you will see what percentage of players will continue to play against real people playing as killers. I assure you, it will be so low that you will finally have to think about what you have done by allowing killers to do whatever they want and depriving surviving players of their right to the gameplay that should exist in theory but does not exist because of the permissiveness granted to killers.

Survivors are people who paid for the game just like the killers did. WE ALSO WANT TO ENJOY THE GAME. Being cannon fodder is a game for the VICTIM, but not for the survivor.

P.S. If anyone seriously intends to prove to me in the comments that Dead by Daylight is “a game on the side of the survivors,” please answer the question: why can't even the most experienced survivor players achieve the win rate of average killers? I won't even mention killers with a win rate below 70%. How is that possible? The game is “on the survivors' side.” Don't be hypocrites. The facts speak for themselves about whose side the game is on.

Here is the thing… this game is hard to balance.

Experienced veterans don't really care - they just win most of the time.
I consider myself one of the lucky veterans and past 30 days I've killrate at 79% and escape rate at 72-73%.

Tho I don't think playing against AI is a good idea - this would lack personality, spark.
I wouldn't play the game if I had to play against the AI.

  • Oh I had a mad Aestri yesterday.

Surviviors were doing gens, other people were playing normally.

When I came to him he would play the tamburine, for the 2nd time he was doing a gen and stood still when I came.

For the third time he stood still in the basement where he was hooked, so I killed him and he instantly DCed.

In the end-game chat he was really mad that I was sweating (for me it was normal gameplay for the win) and that I was ruining the game for people.

He didn't consider that I was losing the gens, he didn't consider that his friends were playing normally. He was just mad that I didnt play by his rules.

After blaming me for his miserable experience he wanted to know my name - just for him to say to his opponenets that I WAS the reason he is playing that way.

Killers don't need to be nice to you, if they want to win the games and that brings them fun. Play some offline matches if you want to just goof around, do it with your friends - not the random person from the internet, because they might not have the same goal.

  • This is kind of perk that you bring "just in case". It doesn't need to be abused.

I bring DS every game and I never force it on killer - it's the killer's decision to eat that perk.

Those perks aren't that bad. What really needs nerfed in my opinion is some of the hex perks particularly devour hope. Pretty stupid it has build in tombstone when you're at 0 hooks. Plus three effects. Really?

I've got thousands of hours and I was moried from devour maybe 2-3 times in general. You just cleanse the totem, unhook last second or unhook near the killer ;p its extremely easy to play against

Even tho I would appreciate one since this event is kinda lacking in bloodpoints gains haha

    Happened before without announcing.

  • What about nerfing corrupt, pain res, POP or something else that helps the killers?

Those killer mains really don't want surviviors to have decent perks.

Run exhaustion perks or addons if perks are a problem to you.

you lost 3 matches. You didnt provide details but im assuming that your team got matched against an appropriate killer. Can you say why you lost those matches so we can see better? Chances are your team was superior to the other 37 killers due to the current bad matchmaking.

Oh yeah! Once we grouped up against iri bubba and he found us groupped up (that was a 3 man)

2nd one was really good huntress on the houndmaster map, totally cracked and our friend (weak link, let's say) got tunneled out and missed DS

3rd one was the p100 ghoul with plenty of hours

  • @fussy said:

I mean, we had good matchmaking with MMR on release, but we had 5-15 minutes queue with it as well and everyone complained about it.

Now it's awfully bad and I think it's where most game's problems come from. I really hope we will get something at least tiny bit better than we have now at 2026, but I honestly think it should be #1 priority over all "anti" mechanics and other things. Because they're trying to fix the effect, not the cause: you matched with opponent with completely different skill level.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4018772#Comment_4018772

Nope, good swf will be just matched with sweatlord Blights, Ghouls and Nurses, like it should be. And all these streaks will be impossible on both sides. 2k win streak means nothing, when 99,95% of your matches you just destroy opponents way lower you. If MMR is working like it should, 10 streak is already solid number.

Well, good teams can't face 3 killers all the time, that's why I think there should be buffs to those struggling killers.

We need more variety, we need more power on some killers.

We also need better gameplay design for some killers.
Let's look at nemesis - he is a strong killer, but going around and slaping people with tentacle is just boring.

  • Honestly I am kinda sad, because the show was late at night and lasted for 2 hours only.

  • I don't think it's the greatest idea, because if you put 4 good surviviors in a team, result shows below.

I really think killer experience would be bad.

    image.png

Only yesterday we played 40 matches (I know, that's around 7 hours of playing) of a good swf team (around 30k hours combined) and lost just 3 of them with the killer having 3-4 kills.

Solo queue on high mmr works the same, if everyone knows what they are supposed to do - that's mostly a win.

Then maybe this affects the survivors numbers and not the killers? I don't use the abandon button hardly ever so I have no idea what it does or what it looks like, but that might explain some of the numbers I've seen on soloqers that seem unlikely to me.

The upper isn't the mori dead though, it's the bleedout. That one, as I understand, doesn't count towards killler stats because that's not what you're supposed to do.

This is just from my last ten matches:

This is actually kinda less than normal. Yet this is my monthly with that killler:

I probbaly average one abandon per match. I shouldn't be able to get more than a 75%, maybe, if the abandons don't count. And that's if I 4ked every match, which I don't.

Quite impressive stats for dredge @cogsturning

    OFFTOPIC:

Do you mind sharing few builds you use on her? I am dredge player myself and looking for good/cool builds right now.

I really believe abandonned matches should count IF people have the option to abandon. We need to fix that on stats page

  • This map definitely needed more loops. It was heavily kill-sided.

Tho I believe we need corn pallets to be just a little stronger - because they are very easy to play around as a killer.

It's almost impossible to make a stun on most of them and that's what required for surviviors to have a slight chance to make it to another tile/pallet/window.

  • It definitely feels better or decimated borgo.

I don't feel difference on the ruins tho
