Why does it take so long to find a killer match?

At least here in South America, it takes a really long time to find a killer match, no matter the mode or the time of day. Every single day, it's several long minutes of waiting. A few years ago it was the opposite, you’d wait forever just to play survivor.

On top of that, there’s never any Bloodpoint bonus for killer, which just makes the whole situation even more frustrating. I really wish things felt more balanced again.

    Many possible reasons:

    • Theres the 2vs8 event going on with a big BP Bonus so I guess a lot of survs are playing that especially with the play while wanting Feature
    • Its high gaming season so some players are leaving to play other games
    • Its actually Region dependend since u are locked to ur closest Server
    • Mmr Might play a role etc.

    In general dbd queue times have always been very fluctuant. Also the average queue time for south America is 3 minutes which isn't really that long.

    My matches in 1vs4 are Insta on killer now during evening. But I’m playing on EU servers

    Because BHVR insists on survivor being an underdog in the game. Nobody wants to play that.

    And killer is more fun.

    Yes, survivors are supposed to be the underdog, just like every horror movie and video game ever made. That is the entire point of the horror genre. This isn’t COD or other similar PvP shooters - it’s not supposed to be exactly equal on both sides.

    You say “nobody wants to play that”, yet somehow this game has been incredibly successful for 10 years. How does that happen if nobody wants to play survivors? I play survivor and I have plenty of fun, so do a lot of other survivor players.

    What specific issues do you have with the survivor role?

    7 games yesterday - 2x blight, nurse, krasue, demo, myers and vecna

    4 games with insta DC

    2 games lost with people just throwing the games

    1 game with endgame build with remember me and tunneled out obsession

    Every match was sad, miserable, without a point. I did turn off the game after that, I've given it a lot of tries.

    I don't think I will touch survivior games without 3-4 man SWF in a near future.

    It's always worse during 2v8. I avoid DBD during this time.
