  • You consider survivior role to be an easy mode? Do we play the same game buddy?

Would you upload any evidence of high escape rate?

Yes, I'm not very good at English, so please forgive me :((

It's fine, don't worry about the trolls

  • @Redrobe said:

is this ai generated or someone with negative iq???

Unless this is a person without ability to talk in english, but still trying to with a translator? No need to be agressive.

  • I myself am on 8/15 already. I don't mind it, we have a lot of time - still 15 or 16 days.

  • It feels like we are punished for liking a character, that's ridiculous.

  • I forgot to put a build in an event mode - still i did the 8 hook before the kill. Surviviors completed 2 gens.

I also didn't play spirit for more than a year - it was my 3rd game after a break from the killer.

I will never be on a side that says the game is surviovor sided.

    image.png
  • I don't think that 2v8 being more often would work out - killers can't play normally because of this.

I will remind you, that killer queue are broken 2v8 is out - 8-12 minutes of waiting is just too much. This means most of the time we wait for the match more than we get to play.

  • All we need is anti-tunnel system and it won't feel that bad

  • We can see here how bad tuning the killer addons is.

Don't quote me on that, but I think they said before that they are nerfing addons that are overused. Probably without even considering the addons power.

Community overused bad addon, but the only one that was worth using? NERF IT

  • Event offerings are still worse than escape cake or survivior pudding. This is kinda sad

  • I mean I kinda played the event for an hour - then like 4-5 hours normal queue.

I don't enjoy ghosts free hits and quick breaking.

Teammates not being efficient are not helping either.

  • To be fair I buy every rift anyway, but I am getting licensed skin for the auric I get back - which is a fair deal for me.
With the skins I buy sometimes that's my way of supporting the developers, company.

If there would be no aurics for it I would be thinking hard if I want to get it

  • We definitely want skins out of twitch drops back!

I've been using the same badge and banner for months now - almost never changed them.

They are there but meh, who cares.

  • I have few drawbacks.

    1. Plenty of bugs - starting with houndmaster, deathslinger, general game bugs (I got stuck in a locker for entire game 2-3 weeks ago)
    2. S-tiers are not being nerfed for a long time of people asking
    3. I don't enjoy new killers to play as and against - krasue, kaneki mostly
    4. After few good rifts we are getting worse and worse ones - I didn't like the ones with flower skins, this one is bad
    5. Tunneling, slugging and camping are very strong, especially against solo queue
    6. pokos hits behind the windows, after stun ruin things for me aswell
    7. A lot of killers have ability to hit you behind the windows, pallets now - I don't enjoy it
    8. DC pandemics, people throwing the match
    9. FOMO became more frequent, monetization the most important - paid skins are much higher quality than what we get for free (if we ever do) - look at dredge ghost skin

Also my friends stopped playing as much as they were before, mostly because it's not enjoyable much anymore.
Europe goes against blights, kanekis and other s-tiers all the time.

  • Yeah I really hate them boosting the bad and boring maps

It’s worth pointing out that Orela Rose faces a lot of hate in the community. Between transphobia and tunneling experiences, she may never win a community cosmetic, unless the devs create one themselves. As a Sable main and a TRYKS linker (I see them as one and the same), I don’t play Orela, but she still deserves recognition and support. - Personal view.

I don't think anything will change no matter what we do. They already use this year for health update but nothing came from it.

That's why I spend much less time playing and not spending money for months now. Until im satisfied with the game again.

  • They seem to put their energy into new collections.
One skin from a collection makes them more money than full rift.

I don't really like that approach. Made me not buying anything from the store

  • We really need some good things, releases, changes to keep going. We are getting flooded by negativity in this community.

Don't get me wrong, I am not satisfied with the game either - after 7 years being positive and somewhat happy about the game

  • People are uninstalling or/and complaining

Content creators make X posts and videos about all the bad things and decisions

If that's not a wake up call then I don't know what will be

  • That was the first rift I don't feel happy at for a long time really.

Last rift wasn't my favorite because I don't like flowers, but it was better.

It's unlucky that every female character has big dress.

  • Dredge is huge. It was hopeful about this skin being my main.

  • You are wrong.

    … you're welcome.

  • Learn about check-spots while in chase.

See the killer double-back? Run to another loop, he doesn't have Line Of Sight he doesn't know you're going somewhere else.
You create distance like that so killer has to run towards you or lose time to find other people.

  • 10k hours player here… krasue is able to 2 tapp me on a pallet that would be cosidered pretty safe.

We need nerfs to this killer.

You definitely didn't say she is fine even tho survivors don't have fun, did you?

  • I don't feel any difficulty.

    My games are pretty good.
Would be 100% killrate if I didn't give out hatch to adept Vee.

    image.png
  • Watch it be the pick up and hooking speed addon like they did it with myers xd

  • Most of those pallets are easy to get a down.

  • They really need to stop releasing busted killers.

At this release I am sitting down - not gonna play survivior until the nerfs.

  • Yeah, people complain about those pallets but they are very easy to win chases at - they are bad fillers, if they got dropped its a free hit

I'm not gonna bother learning a character knowing they could be drastically changed. it had the opposite effect on me

    Same! Nerfs are definitely coming.

I also as a killer try not to be something I don't enjoy going against as a survivior.
I don't slug unless im forced to, I don't tunnel unless people are being annoying and play agressively.
I hate going against the krasue and kaneki so I don't play both of them.

Knight and Skully were pretty weak on their releases. Knight is still a C tier killer and skull merchant was nerfed from a perfectly fine rework, now the worst killer in the game.

Not really? Skull merchant had a minute long expose on the gen - with all the kicking perks back then she was really amazing.

Knight could use guards instantly, which was new and not enjoyable to go against

    @Jarky said:

Out of the 3 killers released this year, the actual problem with TWO of them (Krasue/Ghoul) is that they actually listened TOO much to the feedback of reactionary forum/reddit users rather than their consultants. A large chunk of people considered Ghoul 'weaker than Legion' in the PTB, so they buffed him. Turns out, he was even incredibly strong in the PTB. There WERE people who called him S tier in the PTB (Tofu for one), but that feedback was drowned out by the 'weaker than Legion' reactionary threads.

Krasue also was referred to as a 'C tier killer' by many, or average at best in the PTB. She was a bit clunky, but A tier even in the PTB, but unfortunately the feedback they listened to was the louder 'she's average' people and they mega buffed her. BHVR themselves thought she was strong in the PTB because they gave her the 'strong killer' anti-tunnel incentives. Had they actually stuck to their gut rather than listened to the people calling her mid she'd probably be in a better state.

So no, I don't think their issue this year is they're not listening to feedback or purposely releasing OP killers, I think the problem is they're listening too much to the wrong loud feedback.

Knightlight said on the PTB that she is going to be an S tier. BHVR just listens to bad feedback, I do agree on that.

They should not make so many tweeks based on the first feedback. PTB should be there to gather information about the bugs and let people try out new things before the release.

I strongly believe that we shouldn't let new killers be THAT strong at the release and later on buff them accordingly.

Thank you for taking the time to actually write a reply and not just brushing off my points, i appreciate that.

So what i think is that all killers should be brought somewhat to same tier, i dont like that some killers are allowed to me super strong, just because it takes a long time to learn how to play them. I would wish that all killers were picked because the players actually found them fun to play with and not picked or skipped because they are weak or strong.

I also think that with the killers on the same level, the game would be so much easier to balance and make to actually working anti tunnel systems, that worked for all killers and not just those that struggle already.

Billy and Blight screw me over 90% of the games, and Billy especially is way too strong when the player decide to tunnel with him, he have an insane speed and instant down on top.

Depending on the player, i can go against nurse, but i have seen a lot of proxy camping with her, and that makes her insanely strong, sadly.

I never liked Kanaeki and Chuckey, or Xenomorph for that matter.

And i fear for the rework for Skull Merchant, after seeing how Freddy turned out, it took years and the rework sucks to put it mildly.

Surprisingly i dont run intro Krasue as much as i would expect, and i have only played her twice.

I agree on killers having big skill ceiling and then being really strong, I do!

But lately the releases just are really cheap - kaneki and krasue especially do not have skill ceiling, they are just easy to start playing and have great results against really experienced surviviors.

I've played a lot of hillbilly - he has his really strong sides but he really is hard to learn. You do need a lot of practice.

It's hard to make killers equal, bhvr tries to do that here and there but mostly that's just not good enough, unfortunetely.

While I enjoy going against nurses and blights, I think they are just too easy to win sometimes. They can do incredible things and that's just too much. Their abilities to make really quick kills paired with great mobility and good perks is too deadly.
They both should be nerfed a little - looking at the big picture here.

There is few killers that I don't enjoy going against - Xeno, Clown, Spirit, Trickster, Nemesis, Singularity - mostly because their ability to outplay they surviviors, being able to hit through the pallets, busted chase power etc. - special mention is a plague! I hate going against her because I always bring something to boost the healing or a med-kit
But those killers do have counterplays which don't make them as bad as krasue or kaneki for example.

And you think, after recent releases like Ghoul, that nobody thought: "hey, maybe we should not make the same mistake again after what happened not too long ago?"

Exactly! I hope they learn after krasue, because getting so many busted thing to go against isn't enjoyable at all and people are just leaving the game - I want my dbd friends back into game.

    @Gastongard said:

Something I dont see anyone mentioning is the fatigue this kind of things does to the community.

People are really tired of the constant unnecesary nerfs to perks to "good" perks, buffs to ultra "meh" perks and overtuned buffs and changes for the killer side. Is so hard to have a normal match nowadays, there is always someone throwing, in the way they can, just to go next. Even the "go next" prevention was such a huge L, a small patch that fixed a synthom, but not the problem.

They will lead to "fake" numbers in charts or excel sheets that will make us get more nerfs or buffs no one needs or wants, only based on a false stadistics.

I cannot understand under any circumstance how on earth a dev working 10 or more years in a project, release such an balanced killer, honestly its so hard to believe.

Despite all the unbalanced numbers, cooldowns, even the lunge being so generous, the 3rd person fov feels worse than cheating. Horrible design. Its such a pain that the art department always exceeds the expectations designing and modelling such cool concepts and characters, only to be thrown under a bus by the gameplay department.

I've been saying this for month, multiple times. We need to get rid of the problems, not punish people.
We need nerfs here and there - to perk synergies, to some killers that are overtuned. Make the experience enjoyable, so people won't think about leaving.

Gameplay is definitely something they need to improve. Skins might be good, characters might look amazing but that's not enough to keep player playing the game. We need to have enjoyment in the game.

  • @ThanksForDaily said:

Busted lunge, busted power, 0 cooldowns, immune to flashlight saves in 3rd person. 0 weaknesses.

Krasue went live buffed from ptb without good players testing her.

But don't worry guys we heard your feedback and will actually take it very seriously this time. Famous last words from BHVR couple months ago.

I don't know why BHVR have the consultant program.

Funny thing is that their official consultant records videos and do posts on X about Krasue being broken.

i think the devs themselves should try playing each version of the killers that they release so they can feel how fun or strong said killer is and I mean more than 10 matches on different maps each time

Well I don't think they should - but I am sure they should have people playing characters for them, know what I mean?

They should have few good killer mains, few great surviviors and few casual surviviors that they know they can trust.

Unless some developers actually have a lot of experience playing their game.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

What do you think about Billy, Blight, Nurse and Wesker?

Are they stronger or weaker than the killers you mention?

Oh I think they are amazing killers, personally. Tho I have some pain points about them.

    1. Hillbilly as amazing every way - I love going against billys. They really have big skill ceiling and as a p100 hillbilly I appreciate every billy that I get. Even if I die quickly
    2. Blight - well, he is different. I love looping him when I have available tiles/pallets. If the map is a dead zone, he is just way too good at getting downes. Has a skill ceiling. Surviviors can't do much about good blight.
He is problematic tho in a 4v1 scenario - a lot of pressure, mostly people die very quick against him.
    3. Nurse - I personally find my fun going against her, chase-wise. I know how to loop her, I believe that I know every aspect about her, little tricks etc. But same as blight, she kills people fast and this is problematic in 4v1.
    4. Wesker isn't that opressive and is nowhere close to blight or nurse. I love getting chased by him and he can't outplay surviviors very easily. He definitely has a big skill ceiling.

I like those you mentioned, because they are killers with the actual skill ceiling.

With those I mentioned while I created the post, they had busted things.

Knight had insta guards, you were literally zoned and got chased as 2v1
Skull merchant was a 3 gen master, especially with the gen kicking meta
Chucky ver. 1 had a busted scamper, speed was very fast and on top of that he was tiny
Kaneki was and is busted with his traversal power, with his free m1s and kidnap-tech before it was somewhat nerfed
Krasue is just busted all the way - she doesn't have downsides. Well, taking hit is a downside, but try to do that in a solo-que - GL

People would get angry either way tbh. If they release a killer that is just mediocre or even weak, killer players get just as mad as survicor players are about her broken status right now.

Also, just my opinion, but I would guess that most players buy the chapters cause of the killers and not the survivor. After all the survicor ist in the end just a skin with the same gameplay. So having the killer overtuned probably baits more people into buying the dlc than having a good survivor skin

To people leaving: DBD still has higher player numbers than it did during last years free weekend. Yes they are currently falling but did so every year around this time since its the time of the great fall releases. But generally over the years player numbers have constantly increased. So all the players that write in here saying they will quit for good are not very succesful

But people would not be leaving the game because new killer is bad. They would just go back to their liked characters.
When krasue is that busted you actually have people that deny to play the game.

  • @SweetbutaPsycho said:

Lets be real: Noone buys a killer that gets absolutely destroyed and then tbed at the exit Gates. Thats why killers always release in a broken overpowered state and get nerfed as soon as enough people bought the chapter. She probably even more overtuned since fnaf brought a lot of new players who dont have 10k hours and struggle playing killer. So she also has to appeal to that group.

Just wait a couple of weeks and she will be nerfed to the ground

But this should have been done the other way around.
She should be released somewhat okay and buffed so people don't get angry at the developers/game for her being broken.

People stop playing because those releases.

  • All good ideas!

I would love to add one thing to it - character sorting by prestige.

  • @radiantHero23 said:

Obviously I dont know for certain whether it was the intention behind the buffs for the release version, but im gonna say this:

Releasing a character in an obviously overtuned state, knowing that it will create a miserable experience for all players (survivors while the killer is overtuned / killer when the character is eventually nerfed) is not consumer friendly practice.

It reaks of making a quick buck and this is not what should be accepted by the consumer.

I really hope im wrong with this assumption.

    Oh, you're totally right.

We are enduring this miserable experience for far too long - especially after the kaneki, which is still busted.

What has to happen before bhvr starts doing something with it? We just want to play the game after a long day at work!

I feel like survivior feedback isn't listened to enough…

  • My group of 8-12 people that would show up on discord everyday stopped playing.

Now we can't get full swfs. I stayed and playing solo queue is miserable. Thinking about playing something else too.

Bro, I interpreted it the way you wrote it. So maybe you should stop trying to twist and turn your arguments when people rightfully point out how unbalanced and unfair they are, and just admit that you have no idea what you're tallking about and are just trying to vent some frustrations after being bodied in your last few matches.

Show me how much you play survivor if you wanna argue with me. You clearly don't understand how miserable survivior experience might be sometimes.

  • @BrightWolf said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4006235#Comment_4006235

Exactly! I did the math, 3 bans per survivor, which is 4, so that's 16 killers in total of a roster of 41 killers. Out of those 16, barring double-ups, that leaves a grand total of 10 killers from the available pool. And even then, there's a chance that those 10 killers will be banned due to personal grudges, which whittles it down even further.

Which means, NO ONE will get a match, killer or survivor. Even then, there's a 99% chance that survivors will DC because of one reason or another.

Don't do the math, do proper reading. I wrote that 3 killers would be banned per lobby.

  • Forum's killer really hate surviviors.

Surviviors problems really don't matter to you and you are just downvoting everything - like always.

  • @TheTom20 said:

A lot of the dcs I see
-People insta dcing as soon as the match starts
-people dcing or giving up when we are winning so many games most of the gens done kiler barely has any hooks someone goes down or on a hook dcs
-people dcing on their first down or hook

People will dc against any killer, any map and in any scenario.

people giving up or dcing always is way more deadly than anything the killers do.

This is literally what I mean! People DC because they see a killer that they dislike! That's why I would love a killer banning system.

Or maybe a system that gives you a pool of killers which both sides can ban one by one.

  • @BrightWolf said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4006198#Comment_4006198

No way, banning killers would be incredibly unfair.

Going by that logic, I as a killer, should be able to ban survivors such as Mikela, Sable, Leon, Meg, Dwight, Kate, Bill, because they're super common and they're boring to face against.

Like, be for real right now. Why should Legion, Ghoul, Nurse, Blight, Billy, Dracula, Spingtrap etc have to sit in longer queues just because they're the top-hated picks of now, if not all time? It's unfair to the people who just want to play their favourite killer, or because they were interested in the IP and are now punished for playing a killer they rightfully paid for?

Like, I hate Plague. I always DC against her because the sound effects make me feel violently ill while playing against her. But even if I had the option to ban her, I never would. Just because she makes me nauseous, it'd still be unfair for the player trying to queue up as her, as they're not doing it to spite me in particular, they're just trying to play the game.

I don't mind you ban the mikaelas - they are just skin anyway. Survivor gameplay doesn't change with character they choose.

You talking about the plague is literally the thing I mean.

System would let you avoid the killer that YOU WOULD DC against. You got the point, but you didn't understand it yet.
By dc'ing against the plague you make the match bad for 4 other people.

Also, not everyone would be banning plague, legion, blight etc - there are people that don't mind or enjoy going against them.

Me personally? I would not ban nurse, dracula, hillbilly or other S tier killers - I enjoy them.

  • @AmpersandUnderscore said:

Well, the one thing we haven't tried yet, and seem incapable of doing, is meaningfully addressing camping and tunneling at 5 gens.

The game is over for the first person found first, in the majority of cases, since hard tunneling is still meta, and that's the one thing that we haven't done anything to fix yet.

They made it worse this patch, which is infuriating. Nerfing OTR and pulling back everything else is kind of a big middle finger to people who are frustrated by this. That doesn't justify dc'ing, but apparently people need to quit for BHVR to notice or care (or, at least, threaten to quit).

But, clearly "punish them" with the "go next" mechanic and reworked dc penalty wasn't the right solution.

I really believe that getting rid of surviviors pain points is the right way to fight the DCs.

  • @BrightWolf said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4006190#Comment_4006190

The same can be said for the killer role, if survivors are just allowed to walk all over the killers for doing the absolute bare minimum requirement for their gameplay loop, aka downing and hooking a survivor. Then they will leave, and there will be no game either.

It's why games that were touted as a "DBD killer" and "Competition for DbD" died, because they gave too much power to one side and it just killed the gameplay loop.

Like Friday the 13th died, because muther Effing Jason Vorheese could be bullied to buggery and back by the survivor players, same with TCM.

But the killer role is the one that gets high winstreaks.

826 win streak nurse? 1947 win streak blight? I don't believe that should ever be possible.

Not even the best comp team could get high winstreak as a survivior. Eternal lost the streak to a console LEGION.

  • @TheMruczek said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/457376/so-another-video-on-people-dcing

Can you tell me why are we supposed to please these crybabies? Some things need to be adressed for the survivor role obviously but I am not a fan of pleasing a crowd of people that dc becouse they got hit 20sec into a match. Dcs should be punished, not encouraged by the game or it's content creators like Scott Jund and Ayrun.

What do you mean get rid of "unfun killers"???

This game would literally have like 4 killers If we go with this idea. So many survivors don't like the majority of the killers so that's a terrible idea. Couple of days ago I literally had 2 games where a teammate of mine dc at 5 gens against a Springtrap and Dredge out of all killers. You putting Singularity in this category proves my point.

I agree on MMR being improved. Nothing pisses me more than seeing a Nea urban evading across the map. And this should be a priority number 1.

All bugs should be adressed, no disagreement there.

Balancing doesn't feel right becouse Behaviour either overbuffs or overnerfs perks and items. Then throw in MMR so bad that the teammates you get cannot even beat a Skull Merchant and you have your answer. For killers they play it too safe with the changes for lower tier killers and barely touch top tiers. Freddy's clocks still have immunity timers and their cooldown is so short that a used clock is back before the survivor will fall asleep again.

Hit detection and hitboxes overall are broken and should be tweaked. I don't want to get hit from outer space and I would like a killer power to not get screwed over by a survivor crouching in front of my face.

No. 3 killer banned per lobby? Again getting back to my point. Survivors hate majority of the killers and I wouldn't want a Legion player to wait a 20min queue becouse survivors refuse to learn their counterplay of not healing after all those years. Sure some killers are overtuned-Nurse, Blight, Krasue to name a few BUT not a single killer in this game makes survivor matches unplayable so no. Again a terrible idea.

Because those crybabies contribute to devs salary - by buying DLC, by buying skins. They are the part of why we have this game.

Singularity is very opressive, that's why I put him there.

Tho we mostly agree, I believe.

I strongly believe that banning 3 out of 41 killers would be fair.

  • Why people on forums deny to acknowledge that there are things surviviors dislike?

If there are not surviviors left for you to go against, your game will be dead.

Why don't we care about other human beings?

Aren't we allowed not to like that you tunnel as a blight at 5 gens, using 4 gen resgression perks? Oh my god

1 … 7 8 9 10 11 … 22
