Because most suggestions from players simply isnt that good.
When it comes to balance BHVR do better than any of the players as they look at many factors.
The player only see if it gains them something in a match and not how it may affect the other side.
The Nurse while a subject highly debated had the cooldown added as she was the strongest killer even without add-ons. While I thought she was fine at base along with many others that doesn't mean she was. The change did make her less fun to play while her strength is still there for those that can play her well.
I think the Nurse needs to be more fun so personally id still say remove the cooldown but make her lunge out of blink a lot less and test that as its more about being skillful with blinks and allows better map pressure.
-
It's probably to do with where the killer sees you on screen with the lag.
When a killer goes for a hit and the hit boxes collide the game calculates it and due to animations probably pulls you back so it looks like it should have hit rather than it be too far away (this can still happen also)
It doesn't matter your personal ping as the killers one dictates when a hit will happen as they have the priority.

This rank matchup is literally every game for me on PS4, and yes this was a 4-man SWF group toying with me (I can't remember the last game against solo survivors):
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/748/7IJ9W7VGLFXZ.png
There is 100% a shortage of killers, hence why survivor queue times at all ranks are long and killer queue times, after rank 16, are always instant. All day long even outside of peak times this is the case. I don't understand why you'd argue with that. It's not a MM bug it's just basic math, you need 1 killer for every 4 survivors and right now that isn't the case, hence survivors have to wait longer.
If it was a bug, there would also be killers queuing for a long time. But there aren't.
Your point was it was due to people playing survivor as it was the strongest role.
The devs have stated their is a bug but no shortage like the last time there a queue issue happened.
I also stated why its logical if there is a problem with roles it may with the issue arrising around the same time as the rift that does make others play another role.
The player base is the same so that seems more logical than the speculation that its due to one side being stronger.

@Tr0g said:
Killers between ranks 16-20 have queue times due to MM issues. Ranks 1-15.. no queue time whatsoever. When I press ready I can't even grab a drink, instant lobby with 4 people and 1 min timer.
Definitely a shortage of killers. Which is worrying considering killers only need to make up 1/5 of the population. People have a tendency to flock towards the "stronger" side and the game heavily favors survivors, to the point where killers are bullied. Being a killer is actually really stressful, whenever I play survivor I'm amazed at how relaxing it is and how forgivable the gameplay is.
And yes, my gut tells me SWF is MUCH more common on consoles, because it's almost every game. Which makes sense because console gaming is more social than PC gaming.
That means there could be a shortage yes but that doesn't mean the reason is to play the side that is stronger.
This happened a few months back when there was a shortage of survivors and the devs stated this on stream. This was stated as being a bug with matchmaking but people will speculate regardless.
So if it is a lack of one side then we have to look at when this started happening which was not long after the rift came out. Logically then it says more are playing a side they may not have invested much time into before.
Say 500 players who were in ranks 5-1 and normally play killer move over to play survivor just for challenges in theory they will probably be lower ranked so it affects 500 lobbies.
Now if 500 players who normally play survivor move over to play killer which again would suggest they would be lower ranked it means 125 lobbies are affected.
So what this can do is affect where they were at higher ranks and also for survivors moving over where they go so longer matchmaking at the lower ranks for killer. It's probably why they made the matchmaking change to elevate the issue for high ranks anyway lower ranks just need to now match off of ranks 20-11 to try and help imo.

You don't have to suffer at all.
It's Christmas and people are entitled to a break to see family and friends or just chill out for a while. You have that option too instead of playing ๐.
-
The wraith simply cloaks while the spirit phase walks she leaves her body and teleports on another plane in essense.
Since she is on another plane from the survivors it makes sense she can't see the auras.

I love how people's argument for not doing it is PC would crush us, yet US CONSOLE players are mostly the ones who want it. And how do you know we would have a disadvantage on something that hasn't even been tried and tested? We have bad frame rate on console, yet some players can still dominate. Your telling me we couldn't keep up? I call horse ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ! To make an assumption without having zero evidence to back it up is stupid. We at least deserve the chance, or we can just keep waiting in que hell forever to get a match when it's not peak time...
It's well known that first person view is disadvantaged. While some console users are really good they can never keep up with a mouse and keyboard without aim assistance. Its just how it is.
Survivors being third person is much less of an issue with the only real downside being the sensitivity as controller versus mouse just doesn't have the same ease of turning the camera.
-
Well they did make an optimization patch and it seemed to work for a lot of players on here but then the engine update was done and it broke it again.
Once they come back hopefully they can make it a priority.
-
Spine chill and premonition.
-
Quentin and Plague
Quentin he has no good perks and his model is boring.
Plague as I dislike the puking aspect with the infection and the strongest part of her power being in the survivors hands. I also dislike the gameplay it causes as it promotes gen rushing since the game is just better being over as quick as possible.
-
No they said future events will all be tied to the rift.
They are doing a dbp on the 2nd of January.
It's really not worth doing an event when they are on a break for 2 weeks as if something breaks they don't have the staff around to fix it.
-
A system like this is impossible to implement as rhere is no indication that the person who is playing is below the age the game is aimed at if the person setting it up says theyvare 18.
The parents are the ones who put in the cc info on platforms for kids so they are the ones who show consent. At best these platforms steam, ps or me for example cpuld have better warnings for parents when setting up kids accounts and those accounts. These warning should show that they will be able to buy innapropriate games if they don't enable kids settings and if they do enable the settings it removes the option to buy or play games which are rated as adult ones.
The problem is a lot of parents just see it as a game and don't educate themselves on what it entails. The same ones who do this probably wont let them watch a movie which is aimed at rated at 18.

Yeah, I mean,.. some people here calling few challenges impossible, this equal hard for me. But in my opinion level 4 is the easiest one.
I think that's more due to dc's not counting as its too easy to have the challenge ruined by one person which I find is more frustrating than hard.
I think these challenges should take dc's into account when they are active until the penalty can go live for all at least. I feel dc's are why they seem impossible or hard to some
-
I don't think any can be called hard its just some need quite a degree of luck on your side so are more frustrating than hard.

Somebody has to do it I mean they'll never learn if a killer doesn't give them a taste of their own medicine. I could have ignored his bm but I had to teach him a lesson granted he didn't learn but still no points for arrogant bm players.
Its not how they learn tbh.
Being toxic just makes others toxic as shown by your actions and this is a never ending circle.
The best way to deal with toxicity is to report the ones who step over the line and ignore the others.
Most toxic people are doing it to get a reaction out of you. When you react then you give them what they wanted. Anyway you do it by camping, throwing the game or messaging them back means it shows they go to you.
-
If they were too scared to punish people the system would not be getting worked on and the test would never have happened at all.
The test served its purpose and showed the system cleary isnt ready when it punished players who did nothing wrong and the game itself crashed. This needs to be addressed as a high priority for this system.
Quite frankly the game needs a crash report system so the game can see once one is auto generated that it wasnt the players fault. It also needs to check the code when a DC happens to see if there was anyone stuck etc even if it means you have two option with one being to do a check which allows a leave when something is found without punishment and the other a straight leave for when its a legit real life scenario.

There is a bug they talked about in the Q&A where high ranks can be matched with those lower. It's being worked on but won't be fixed till after the holidays.
I play solo only and in a few matches at rank 5 I was matched with a rank 13/14 killer and everyone else was around their rank say 1 or 2 away.
If you are in a match with more than one high rank and lower ones as above it could indicate they are swf as the match.aking was changed to use the highest ranked player a while ago.

If playing 16 matches against red ranks and getting 4ks for 15 of them isn't good, then what is?
Then why if they consistently do well do people concentrate on only the matches where they lose? If they are well over the average in terms of kills/escapes doesn't that say more than cherry picking some videos?
If someone consistently 3 or 4k's they are a good player but what seems to be the case is they feel like they should always get those results. They can state that's not the case but it doesnt ring true when they dont seem to understand that just because they are a good player that they will never meet some that are just better.
Take the wraith experiment with 49 wins out of 50 matches. Should we then use the same argument as some do with these loss videos he to say that Wraith is then too strong and needs nerfed because one player did well with them?
-
It's probably more down to how solo and swf play.
SWF are overly altruistic even with the information. They want to save them even if they are camping just because they are a friend and want them to get out. They can coordinate the save with more than one player to make it happen if they so wish and why they are stronger in that situation.
Solo on the other hand have no reason to save other than it benefits themselves. A camping killer would then mean less saves imo as overall looking at it objectively its a tool which just says stay on gens to them.
Just a thought looking from it from another perspective as its easy to see why something like this seems logical but it's sometimes more difficult to see what implications it could have.
-
Words cannot describe my distain for these types of players.
I hope you reported them as something like this isn't done by accident. I get the feeling they are using secondary accounts so they don't care about a ban though. It's sickening really.
-
Concentrate on Leatherface for BBQ and David for WGLF and get a decent build with them.
Then I would feed points into the ones I wish to main until I got those perks and a decent build then id start to play them and slowly feed points into the other characters for the teachables I want.
I wouldn't prestige anyone until I had all my chars with a build I like that means I could play whoever I wished. Then save up points and prestige my mains one at a time just because I can.
-
Thanks for the stats Almo they are always appreciated.
I sometimes wonder if they are appreciated though as if it fits what one wants to see they are right but if it doesn't they don't mean anything and should be disregarded.
What it comes down to is trust. If you will never trust the devs no stats will ever matter.
Stats also don't reflect someones fun aftwr a change so there will always be a discussion on that point and tbh no one is right or wrong in that discussion as it will always be subjective to ones personal taste.
I feel the Nurse could do with some stats released after the change not only how well they can do but also how many play her compared to before the change. Many other factors could also be shown regarding travel time without hits, blink misses between all ranks and separated ranks along with them for each platform.
Again the Nurse stats won't show a degree of fun but less people playing may be an indication of that. We could then compare it to the most viable killers like Spirit or Billy to see if those numbers increase. Also add in Trapper since they are in the rift after all so that could account for lower number of any killer.
-
I agree with Scott that some maps are just painful with how they spawn and certain windows need to be addressed for sure along with those walls as they can be overpowered for both sides.
We do have to be careful with rng though and while the strongest should never spawn together if there was more of a set pattern then the loops start to become known with no bad parts on maps and survivors can use that to their advantage even more. It's a hard one imo but one that does certainly need looked at and tweaked.
-
It's a catch 22 as if they spawn too far apart its survivor sided and too close its killer sided but it is random and you win some or lose some.
Some maps are worse than other of course such as the game or lerys as ive found these maps are more survivor sided in this scenario for the most part.
Personally I don't mind and accept my fate as the game is over if it happens so I let them hook me to give them the points and end it.
I wonder if a solution which could be viable though for hose that do is making it so the spawn distance affects the time to open which isn't then affected by any perks.
Just a thought as it opens up more play and makes going for it risky but worthwhile instead of some just waiting for the entity to kill them instead.
-
While i would love a snow theme to be fair if they just changed that then its not an event and people would complain it was just a fluff addition and not worth doing.
Events gave us bloodpoints and something to work towards ie skins with the change in theme. No matter what happened in any event though people always complained and sometimes they broke the game which isn't something anyone wants over the holiday period when no one is around to work on it.
Now we did get a lot of skins granted for free that used to be exclusive recently which they could of course sold on the store and there will be a dbp on the 2nd of January (I'm hoping this is longer than just a weekend ๐).
-
Its not working as intended as people were getting time outs for bugs out od their control along with such little things as the common server connection error bug when leaving a match.
The system needs to be able to tell when an error has happened in the code first and when it does then inform the player when it's ok to leave the match.
Punishing players for something which was the fault of the game isn't right and I am sure you can see why. Until the system can tell the difference it really can't be made live.
Dcing is a major issue there is no doubt and this system has shown to be the one needed so hopefully the test results and feedback received have given the devs what they need to work on it and get it out asap.
-
It shouldn't remove a pip but I think it can still bug out at times.
Generally it will always show you lost one on the end match screen but once you go back to the main menu it goes back to what it originally was.

Or work on that husk system they talked about however-many-moons ago.
Half the reason people are DCing is just to deny the challenge. A lot less people would do it if they knew it wouldn't deny the challenge.
From what we know they are still working on it but since its went silent on that I fear it could be quite a bit off and will be done some time after the dc penalty is working which itself needs a lot more thought and work.
I just think making a dc add to the challenges would be much easier and simpler for now.
-
Not right now as its not working as intended.
A game crash should send a signal to the server of a report and what happened and not give a ban which was happening and knowing how it esculates was unfair.
I understand your pain and why instead I think they should just make any dc's give credit to the challenge you have active.
-
They so look good for those of use that like to play Doc.
I just hope the dc penalties are in a working state and implemented by the time they release the Doc patch for my own sanity as I hate the amount of dcers when I play him.
-
In the Q&A yesterday they specifically stated that the matchmaking has a bug that can cause this.
It is being worked on but won't be fixed until sometime after the holidays.
They also stated that it was a bug to see the ranks and it caused more matchmaking issues with dodgers which they don't want happening and its certainly not coming back.
Hopefully that also means they are looking at all ways to stop lobby dodgers now ๐.

Nice how this manifesto disregards the "Roll a die to pick which gen to check first; got anything but a 4? Whoops you lost the match" part of the problem and focuses on most of the wrong things. A 10-15 minute game where you don't feel helpless and get 2+ kills is my idea of a win and most killers can't manage that in ranks where people have figured out "oh just do gens" without their absolute A-game addon builds with ruin, snd even then it's usually down to that simple first 30 seconds die-roll
What are you actually on about? Roll the die? Tbh it sounds like you want the game to do everything for you and tell you where to go from the start. No one has ever complained about not knowing where someone is from the game after loading in. It's a new on on these forums for sure.
Of course the start is harder its how assymetrical games are. The better you do the easier it becomes as you whittle down the other side.
Stating one needs ruin isn't a fact it's an opinion and one that not all share. I never run ruin as competent survivors will just get great skill checks so instead I took the time to learn how to run tiles more effectively which is a much better way to apply pressure.
Do you know how many times a killer lets a survivor dictate the way a tile is ran? Or how many times they loop extremely wide? Knowing the tiles you should learn to close of the most efficient path off which means either they have to drop a pallet quicker or you will get a hit.
The whole aspect of killer play is to mind game survivors for hits and down. The more pallets taken out also makes areas void of safe places which in turn leads to easier hits as the game progresses. The more you hook or slug the more players get taken off gens going for the save.
Edited to add this for you as its very useful.

You seem to disregard just about a lot of what i'm saying, you are disregarding that these are example's and just because the streamer was running a viewer build and didn't get immediate hit off put's it off as invalid? Wow you are something special. The reason I pull to these and not my own experiences of getting gen rushed is because Tru3 records and I don't, yes the game has gotten better but to say, all maps and killers a fine and balanced in alignment with the current gen system is a farce. But if you want to pretend what many killers say then feel free, and the ones that denounce it are the killers that don't play high enough to care for what problems the most prestigious achieving players face or survivors that think gen rushing is cool and isn't a problem seemingly such as yourself and are happy to pump out 3 or 4 gens in the 3 or 4 minutes and think, yeah... that's balanced while you loop around your coldwin farm loops of saftey and no risk.
And btw, the current system doesn't reward or even punishes you for a 2k but will mostly award a 3k depending on how optimal the survivors were and even 4k's can occasionally be thwarted for a black pip, how is that a system that show's equality of skill at 2k's?
And tru3 has stated multiple times that there are plenty of day's where he goes against top tier gen rushing survivors, there are many matches that he play's that stay on his stream. Is that just to be ignored? He himself struggles with genrushing plenty and say's that it is a issue and survivors can are the tru3 power role against most killers. Is his opinion the one that resonates with so many others mute? I don't think so, I think you honestly wan't the game to stay as a survivor bully fest that laughably makes killers look like a joke because of how weak they are compared to them. That's what I think with how you seem to just deny deny deny all of what I have been saying.
You say my opinion is based on bad games... well. WHY ARE THEY BAD GAMES? Is it because I played bad? Or is it because the game is tailored against you from the start of the match based on how good the survivors are, the map, and the killer you are playing. It is unfair and why is it so bad to think that "ALL GAMES SHOULD HAVE FAIR CHANCES TO WIN FOR ALL KILLERS" but no, that would ruin your bully simulator wouldn't it.
Also I think wraith is meta, meta is very subjective half the time.
And you seem not into take into account the numbers I stated, are those numbers fair? Those are cold hard facts yet you don't even talk about it hmm? Yet find it more pertinent to talk about the viability of an irrelevant killer to this discussion.
I don't disregard anything but you do when you see someone playing with something they don't know well yet expect them to do amazing with. Anyone who changes things up will have a learning curve with it. It happens in all games.
I touched upon that with the emblems as they do go against the balance which is 2 due 2 escape and why I dont like it. Its also why the ranking system is being reworked as we speak. The whole game is setup so you can verse a 5k hour player if you have 100h. Unless someone is truly amazing at the game from the get go do you think they should be on the same comparative level?
There are people who play CS:GO and may have 2k hours but they never get out of silver. Then you have ones who have 50h who are higher up. If you disregard any skill LVL needed then its like asking for a participation prize. Time played should not determine how well you do it should always be down to knowledge and skill.
Some may think they are good but if you se4 a good player doing well and you chat match that doesn't that say something?
While tru3 does go against good players he himself still has way over the average. You seem to think just because you seem someone as really good they should never have bad games. You can look at many other stream to see they themselves do extremely well. You need to get off the one person train and look at many different ones as it gives you a very jaded viewpoint. One person is not the be all and end all of balance in the game. It says a lot more when most videos if not all recently shown to try and state something are of this particular person rather than an array of different players.
I get it some think what is stated is gospel but that's not how things work or should. I'd recommend you watch some others Scott Jund, Ohtofu, Alanedgarbro to name a few. They have good and bad games and talk about both sides openly regarding issues not just one.
While your numbers are true you ignored the average match time of 12m per game I posted earlier. DBD was always a fast paced chase game. To slow it down can and will make it less so. Now you have to consider those that tunnel or camp as they feel they need too. Slow it down too much and those strats actually become stronger as no matter what players will always use what gains them an advantage its just human nature.
It's the same argument when some say ruin is mandatory. It isn't as again many do extremely well without it or any other gen perks. What ruin does is give one a sense that they are doing better at the game and helps them climb ranks where they wouldn't normally. It actually removes learning and can make players worse over time as without it their true skill LVL shows making them feel like the game is unbalanced to them. It becomes something one relies on rather than it helping.
The point still remains that you sue someone who has way over the average in terms of what one could consider balance and also that they are a great player. A great player would be over the average by it doesn't mean they won't meet players better than them still.
Think about this. If the game was balanced on how well tru3 himself does then what would happen to killers? This is why using one person is completely the wrong thing to do and should always be taken as an opinion rather than a fact.
As i said him winning 49/50 games with a non meta killer who is considered weak by this comminitu should in your mind then be considered as a reference point to have that killer nerfed which is highly laughable. That is a fact you cant deny as to use one example for ones own narrative and ignore the other from the same person shows not only bias but a hypocritical viewpoint. It's disregarding anything apart from what fits the purpose of the post.
This is why balance is done on a huge number of stats. Its not just about the kill ratio, the game length, perks or add-ons used etc. Balance comes down to every single little thing being taking into the equation.
I leave you with this. Forever Freddy had the add-ons changed. This was due to the stats showing it slowed the game down way too much when usef with slow down perks giving them too much of an advantage. It was not what the devs wanted to happen and nerfed the concept.
-
The main issue i see is how mich info is too much? How would that change the game and would it be for the better for those who enjoy playing solo and not knowing?
The game is such a simple premise that knowing too much imo could and probably would start to make it mundane.
The reason it doesn't get as mundane for friends in a lobby is they have fun playing and having a laugh with each other.
A chat wheel doesn't work as it takes time so when someone is in chase it really has no use as it could mean taking a hit just to tell something.
I for one feel this is why the devs are reluctant to add certain things as they know this themselves as the game itself would start to become something other than it is.
Most games like this in an assymetrical setting where team work is paramount don't tend to do so well with a PvP setting history has shown this.

Number 1 saying the vast minority of players is on my lane about gen rushing is an utterly absurd statement, i've seen numerous players, streamers, forum posters all complain about gen rushing so that point is complete bs.
And 2 you seem to keep derailing the video's I posted as bad examples? Uhm how? I can see the first one in some respects but how the second one? Tru3 literally lost to bad game design, no matter how he played in that game he wasn't going to win it with how the survivors played. It utterly astonishes me to how blind people are to this issue, do you even play killer at red ranks? Do you know what it is like to loose not because you played bad, not because you got outplayed, but because you aren't playing a meta enough killer with a meta enough build on a busted map with a million and one safe loops to waste your time as 3 other survivors go hold m1 on a gen... it isn't fun loosing no matter how optimally you juggled or chased or navigated around the map with whatever best perk set you could make to where none of that matters. You go play a legion, or a clown, or a bubba against gen oriented survivors on coldwin farm or haddonfield and come back and tell me how balanced gens are, it doesn't even have to be them. The point of it is that gen's can be done SO much faster than the killer can kill all the survivors, why do the survivors get it so much easier to complete their objective huh? What happens if survivors die 2 hooks instead of 3? Maybe then they'll feel what it's like to be "hookrushed"
And as far as the wraith games, i didn't watch them nor do I care to comment on them, but gen rushing kinda doesn't work when you are playing a meta killer with meta builds and addons against survivors of varying degree's of skill with a seasoned player like tru3. Sure it can happen but did it? No, and that goes to the testament of tru3 as a player and wraith's viability not securing your argument that gen rushing doesn't exist. It DOES exist and is a problem because not everyone is tru3talent and not everyone is playing with the best of best builds and addons for with the best killers. My entire point is I want gen rushing to go away, those times where's gen's get done in 3 or 4 minutes need to stop, those games shouldn't exist unless the killer isn't trying at all or is playing so awfully to where survivors have all their time to spend on the objectives. For the killer to complete their objective mathematically considering all the factors that hinder them can take significantly more time than survivors can. By the time a killer can hook 1 survivor 2-3 gens can be done on average with a good team. That's 40-60%! Of their objectives done already very early into the match compared to a killers first hook which is only what 3 hooks per survivor... 4 survivors.. 3x4=12... so roughly over 8% of the killers objective is completed in one hook while the survivors gets over quadruple that?! What fairness?? So what happens to cut the numbers down that survivors always complain about? Tunneling/proxycamping/slugging all tactics killers use to help their numbers catch up with the survivors efficiency with holding m1 for a varying amount of second, 80 second per gen but that can be cut down VASTLY due to mechanics. And yes killer CAN do the same with a mori or very powerful addons but I think everyone can agree both of those sides of the coin deserve a nerf.
All and all I think you really need to check on what gen rushing is and maybe experience it for yourself before you go around telling me or others that it isn't what we think it is bud
You are using a minute demographic for your conclusion. The vast majority of players just play and never comment on the game. There are just as many streamers and players who don't agree so who is right or wrong? It's an opinion normally based due to a bad game.
I explained why the videos are bad examples. The clown video was a viewer build using the pinky add-on where hitting them with the bottle gives him a one hit down. You could see him trying to hit them direct and not taking hits at times he could. Do you really you consider trying a character with a new build and testing add-ons a great way to provide data on a potential issue? He is also considered to be one if not the weakest killer to some. Thay says its The Clown that needs some love as if this was a Spirit or Billy game the reuslts would probably be alot differnet.
The Wraith is not meta. They are considered one of the weaker killers by this community It's why everything posted needs to be taken with a grain of salt as its down to personal skill and experience. That's the issue if one wins 49out of 50 games then why complain they lose a few to better players? That's down to being too competitive as many with this mindset feel it shouldn't happen but it does and will. There are always players who can play better, we can all play bad at times and some on both sides simply don't play that well most games. It's the nature of gaming we can all be good at everything.
I never said wealth secured my argument but your argument in that paragraph is telling. You admit tru3 can and does do it but it's because he is seasoned or just a really good player. Doesn't that in essense say something about players wanting to be better than they are? If one is being constantly gen rushed then doesn't that say more about how players need to improve to do better and shows its not impossible? Shouldn't games be challenging anymore? Should every game end in a 2k at least regardless of how the other side play?
Sorry but it makes me think of participation medals when we know players do well but some want to do just as well without being as good.
I have been here since 2016 when gens were 40s, no slowdown perks, SB had 20s cooldown and true infinites existed along with BNP which actually gave you instant gens with one tap (4 gens within 20s used to be done that was a true gen rush). I know what gen rush is and what we have today doesn't come anywhere near the same scope of things of the past.
Some killers need worked on as they don't have the pressuring ability of others or chase potential. Maps need reworked and some windows especially need removed or made shorter as they are too safe. The game isn't perfect but it's far from as bad as people complaining tend to go on about.
Remember at the true peak of balance 2 kills should be considered a match of equal skill. While that can be done for some only with camping or tunnelling others can achieve this or more with multiple hooks.
What we should never expect is kills handed to us when we the those who are better at certain aspects of the game. We will lose games and some quite badly on both sides but that is a reflection of our own skill versus others like in and PvP game.
The most frustrating thing is the emblems and how they don't reward for a perfectly balanced match even with multi hooks at times and why that itself is being worked on right now.

Clown
He just isnt very interesting or fun for me compared to the others.
All the others I feel have somethin quite unique to them but Clown its chase and throw bottles too block areas and slow them down.

You are making a generalization, these video's showcase a problem that occurs, do you actually think the only time someone was genrushed was in these two vids? Do you think that there are so many killers that complain about genrushing but we are all just whiny babies that need to git gud? No, maybe there is actually a gen rushing problem and it should be addressed and not constantly ignored and shut down
The generalization is in fact being made by yourself. You are using two videos which are extremely bad examples to try and state something.
Someone could post videos of killers killing all much quicker than the gen rush you only focused on. What would that prove?
You are also using complaints on forums to be reflective of the hundreds of thousands that play. These complaints are from a tiny minority of players and there are just as many which disagree.
There is no doubt a setup with the best perks and items to rush gens can and will do them extremely fast but in the same way killers can kill all with the best perks, add-ons and offerings. What can be done isn't reflective of every single game even at high ranks.
I would advise to look at the person you posted about and see how well they do in the majority of their games. They are afterall a highly competative player. The average game length is around 12m after all.
You may not like it but yes some (not all) complaints do come from players that may not be up to that standard and feel they should be better. It's hard to understand as they believe they should always get at least 2 kills. That isn't the case.
You will win some easily, lose some badly, kill 4,3, 2, 1 or even none. That's how PvP games are.
That's not to say some killers don't need changes as they do as some don't have the pressure capabilities as others.
I noticed you never commented on the 50 game test where said person won 49 out of 50 games. Knowing this you must think that killer or addons at least need nerfed now? Surely with the gen rush they talked about it should not be possible?

Use bond and find others on gens. You can use a toolbox with extra charges and fast repair add-ons but you may be targeted depending on rank.
You can also use kindred as it will show where everyone is when someone is hooked so you know what gens are being worked on.
Resilience is also good but it means being injured so is risky if you can't loop or lose killers that well.
Hopefully someone will be in a chase before you and it gives you time.
Never work alone on a gen as you risk others being done without you.
You can either try to play stealthy or if seen you can use bond to run the killer towards others and take them off gens or maybe get the killer off you. (Personally I hate that last play)
If you are on a hook at any point then you risk them being done without you.

It's not just about the reach, it's the whole delay. And 4 survivors gets punished because 1 player can't afford something...
That's what I was referencing.
While the killer sees where they are on screen you don't and have the delay from the server telling you their position so its impossible actually to tell how close they are. If they have a bad ping to the server its even worse.
The only way to avoid it is to do everything really early in theory but that's not going to work every time.
It's why some hits seem to happen from far away, 10m from a window and not even connect.
-
Right now the servers give what the killer sees priority from what we have been told so their ping to it will dictate how far a hit can go.
This needs better balanced with players pings to the server imo as it does hurt the game play when you can never tell how far they may reach.
Earlier I was watching someone who had a killer from South Africa and they are in EU. Hits were extremely long and there was no way to account for that on screen.
They still need a lot of work done on them and maybe even a better way to balance hits so its more in favour of a 50/50 solution.
-
I really don't mind. We did get all those free skins unlocked which was a nice early present.
Since the last event wasn't really a great event or considered one at all to many I really don't see the need for them to take the time to work on some fancy gens and hook lights with another small blood point offering not worth buying when we get what matter. A blood hunt. Lets be honest that was the best part of the last one anyway.
-
The rift closes in 20 days and another one tomb 2 will start.
The challenges on this one will stay open and players can still do them and gain the extra bloodpoints its just the rift fragments that can no longer be earned on them.
-
Its a valid tactic of course, there are instances where it works and it doesn't for both sides.
I mean bloodwarden is a thing so there is no reason they shouldnt be able to try and stop it proccing, a killer can slug and open the door themselves to activate it also.
-
As already said fun is subjective.
There will always something which one could deem unfun to try and justify an act which ruins the enjoyment for all the others in a match.
The players need to accept the game for what it is instead of demanding it to be what they wish it too.

WHAT?! Me and a lot of my friends use this as the sign for "he's not around, come now"
Yeah some changed it to that scenario as they didn't know there was actually already a reason people did it and thought hey I have an idea lol then the debates started long ago.
It has always been the universal sign for camping though.

I think the main issue is not the gens but the pressure of some killers and some maps and why they are all being looked at. The main issue is mobile v less mobile killers as some dont have powers to put of pressure like the Clown where as Stealth Killer, Trapper and Hag etc can do better as they make people more weary about where they run trying to avoid traps or stay out of the open.
The Doc cleary has a small charge range without addons but luckily they are next on the list for some love, It was a not perk game so knowing this we cant conclude much from it.
Remember the same streamer has taken killers from rank 20 to 1 with no perks. Recently done a 50 game Wraith challenge with purple addons with 49/50 wins with another streamer counter it with Trapper in 50 games with around th esame I think using yellow addons.
The Clown well he is one of the weakest killers but still viable with the right player. if you watched the video though you will see he did get looped quite a bit but he was triying to hit them with the bottles for insta downs. It was a viewer build for him to test out and by playing this way it cost him quite a bit of time than if Tru3 was using a build he knows so I doubt the result would have been the same.
Bad games happen and you will lose some and win some but thinking one or two videos are a good mettic for game balance simply ignores the fact that this very person manages well over the average ratio in terms of kills/escapes in the sum total of their games.
Thats not to say changes dont need done hence the devs are constantly working on things in the background but anyone of us can cherry pick games to try and prove a point but it is sort of telling when its only one person used in around 90% of these posts.

My bad... English is hard! ๐
No worries ๐
Apologies for being blunt as its been one of those days!
English is hard I agree and I dont speak any other language apart from it lol, I respect anyone who speaks or writes in any other language other than their native tongue.

For myself do it to signal the killer is close, dont save me.
If anyone comes towards me more fool them as it has always been that way since the game release. Some of course who joined later in the games life used it for the killer is not near me so it has lost some of its meaning but generally most do seem to get it and dont come for me until I stop.

"it is what it is" shouldn't be okay when it leads to a horrible game experience for everyone involved.
"it is what it is" didnt reign forever for The Nurse
"it is what it is" didnt last for Legion's moonwalk
"it is what it is" didnt last for people trying to bodyblock in the basement or elsewhere during Endgame
"it is what it is" didnt keep Mettle of Man from being reworked.
"it is what it is" didnt make Exhaustion going down while running okay.
"it is what it is" is NOT justification for anything in Dead by Daylight. Plain and simple. You should know better.
This is a strat which has always been allowed and has been stated numerous times will not be bannable. If it were half the devs themselves would be banned.
Your examples are all balance changes and has nothing to do with breaking rules. The devs have made camping less viable for pipping but always stop short of really punishing for it as they have stated they want it to remain a strat that can be used if one so wishes.

I disagree. While camping is not bannable, intentional griefing someone is. And with video evidence showing he is doing it not as a strategie but to destroy the game experience of people, i would think it might be bannable.
Not really as intentional grieving is generally used for targeting a specific user over and over each and every game or working with the other side.
When you do it every game to everyone its not targeted or working with the other side.
While he may be acting toxic afterwards and getting enjoyment its not greifing in the same way as its how he wishes to play and may have always done this. How they play is still within the allowed rules.
There are many that play this exact way which wpuld then mean they should also be banned. Just becasue someone is a streamer and laugh's about it on camera doesn't make it any different from what the others do.
