It blows my mind that survivors say that when if my team mates have any brain cells it's usually so easy
If they have brain cells. If being the key word. Most hook suicides are a result of teammates.

It depends on which role you're playing
Gen-rush is a killer concern.
Tunneling is a survivor concern.
No. They're both a DbD player concern. I'm a survivor main. But I still care that killers are given a fair chance.
As for the OP. Which is worse is pretty much going to depend on which side you favor. At least for most people. To me they are on pretty even footing as they both do the same thing. Kill one sides fun and prevent them from getting to play.
Unfortunately tunneling doesn't really have a work around that I can see. The best I can think of is rework DS to a shorter timer that pauses if you get chased before the timer ends. If you get downed DS is active and doesn't deactivate until picked up. Maybe change Borrowed Time to work against stealth killers as well. Change it to proc of range instead or TR.
Gen-rush is similarly complicated. My best idea is to implement a tool belt. Have one per survivor in every match. Then either before you can work on a gen you need to find one. Or have a repair speed debuff until you find one. 20% maybe. This would give survivors a secondary objective. Which should weaken gen-rush.
-
While it sucks for the person on the hook, it can be the correct play. In the second example, it was definitely not the correct play.
-
Because killers feel cheated out of kills by them. I only half agree. If they bring a key in I consider it fair game. Though I'd like to see both keys and Mori's tweaked to be a bit less strong. If they find it in a chest. Then yeah that is pretty unfair.

I don't know why everyone is assuming that it means the killer is camping...it means "yo get your ass over here because the killer is not here anymore" if I'm constantly waiving my hands it should mean I need help ..but nope they ignore so they can get gen SMH the my bar is almost gone then they come to me
Because it never meant come get me. New people have the meaning flipped.

I really want to know if I’m the toxic one, because I’m camped for running them around, whether it’s through cow tree or all of Haddonfield, to just using one jungle gym and them not being able to get me because they don’t know how to run it correctly, am I toxic for looping them that long our are they toxic for camping me?
You're supposed to just stand still and wait patiently for your turn on the hook. Kidding killer mains. In all seriousness though. No, you are not being toxic. There will be the people who argue you're abusing unfair loops. While they're right that some loops are unfair. I don't feel like you can abuse it them. Unfortunately as humans we get frustrated about things and lash out about them. If you made them so made they camp you when they finally catch you, take it as a compliment.
-
It always meant camping to me. Then I heard people say a small wave where you barely moved your arms was for camping. Like you were shoeing them away. The full arm raise meaning all clear.
-
It sucks but I get it. I've done it a few times because of my teammates.
-
Doc, Plague, and Legion. Their powers are just obnoxious.

I disagree. It becomes a problem when waiting 5 minutes for a match accumulates into 10, 15 minutes in between matches.
I didn't say it wasn't a problem. No matter how much killer mains like to pretend it isn't. It is. I simply said there isn't a solution. Because there really isn't.
-
While tunneling sucks it exists for a reason. There are the people that cling to the excuse of it being efficient. But there will be times where it is the right thing to do. If the survivor has been toxic. By which I mean actually toxic. Not using loops or perks. Or the game is over. Gates are open, and someone is on the hook. But I do agree that tunneling of the hook is, generally speaking, a cowards play.
-
Even if they wanted to. There is nothing they really can do about lobby dodging. Just accept some people are cowards and move on.

I think keys and at the least ebony moris have no place to exist. Both end the game for both sides prematurely without any skill involved. It's "lols I win now because I equipped a certain item -- deal with it". This is just wrong.
Also: survivors can find keys in chests even without plunderers which is just mind boggling. Imagine killers being able to find moris during the game, the outcry would be massive, rightfully so, because it's stupidly unbalanced.
While finding keys in chests is arguably unfair, the key is almost always a broken key.
-
I mean there's more to the ga.e then looping. Being bad at one aspect of the game isn't a sign you don't belong in the ranks you're in. It just means that's the area you need to develop.

It might be what the beauty standard was back then and I agree that many people find it appealing today as well, but that doesn't mean it's healthy. It comes with all sorts of health issues
Like what? She's got a big booty. That's it. She's the epitome of little in the middle but got much back.

Can you actually argue your point instead of acting like your opinion is inherently superior? A team with 4 Decisive strikes will survive much more frequently than a team with 0. That's just a fact. If you think DS doesn't have a profound effect on the match, you are either ignoring blatant facts or are out of touch with reality.
You say the Ds team will survive more. But we don't have any proof of that. I'm not saying you aren't probably right. But to claim it to be a fact is a stretch.
I've thought about ways to change Ds so it is closer to being a pure anti tunnel perk. I think maybe a shorter timer that pauses while in chase might be better.

Yeah it's annoying when survivors try to make healing a priority over gens whether they're the ones that are injured or the ones trying to heal. There will be times where I'll be injured and run into a teammate working on a gen and I'll notice that it's about 80% done so I'll work on it but they'll get off the gen to try and heal me but I'll just keep working on the gen.
To be fair, they're trying to help you. If I break off the gen to heal just point at the gen if you want it done first. You just gotta roll with how your team is doing things sometimes.

That's because you play solo.
Try playing killer on console. You get 3-4 man SWF groups pretty much every match, it's unbearable to play killer. Solo players barely exist. I wish I bought the PC version.
Uhh most players are solo players. Your every game is 3 to 4 man swf is just not true. If you think the game is so unplayable as killer maybe you're just bad at it.
-
I try not to think about Legion.

No. Nothing really interesting in this chapter. Yui's perks look fun. That's about it.

Awww HybridPanda, did you see the tweet he made the other day? Sounds like he's retired from streaming for the personal reason he stated. I'll miss him. He's one of the first content creators I watched for this game.
If that's true, that's really sad. I really love Panda.
I really like watching, Otzdarva, Marth, Puppers, Panda, and sometimes Pug.

Because they're bad. They're just bad, or they're new, or it ruins their immersive playstyle because they only know how to hide. There isn't a single good survivor out there that is afraid or cares about a Doctor.
But the annoying part? Probably 3 genning Doc's. I suppose it's annoying and slow to have each survivor on 1 of the 3 gens, or 2 on 1, 1 on the other, and slowly complete it while getting 3 gen strated. Which honestly is annoying. It's just a strategy that delays the inevitable. Like, he's a ######### m1 killer that can annoy people, that's his thing
It has nothing to do with his strength as a killer. He's annoying, because if you want to play stealthy it's nearly impossible with him. Add in his shocks wreck absolute havoc with console frame rates and he is most definitely obnoxious.

I do watch Otz and others like Tru3. But they usually make things seem so easy. I try to red glow trick people but they just run away from the loop mostly. Finding it hard to find people out of position.
Just keep watching and keep playing. I've found most any game you hit a wall for a while. Then you have that level up moment where you progress your skill. It just takes time. Keep at it and don't let things frustrate you.
-
The only time Borrowed Time is a problem is end game. The rest of the time just hit the rescuer ffs.
-
Doc is just annoying to play against. I hope the change makes him more viable and less irritating.

@Perelie said:
Even the match making is rigged against killer. This is pathetic, I swear the devs do this just out of spite and hate for killer.
Yeah. That's exactly what happened.

Plague and Steve.

Try watching Otzdarva. He's a really good killer main and will explain his thought process. There are several others who are really solid killers as well. You can pick up alot from watching those guys.
-
I didn't buy the first one. I doubt I'll buy the second.
-
I mean sure. Then after a couple of months. When every survivor learns to hit greats, what then?
-
I've said before he should start with all his traps. The bag addons should just add extra traps.

Kind of side related, but I find it interesting that were told that there is no real significant survival increase as a SWF when killers complain about how broken it is, however at the same time they tell us they want to decrease the gap between solo and swf because of how significant the difference is.
This just sounds so contradicting.
So which is it, is SWF significant or not? If it wasn't significant then why are they trying to close the gap.
I'm not trying to start a conversation about whether SWF is op or not here, just pointing out the inconsistency of the information we've been given.
It might not be as contradictory as is seems at first glance. My guess is, and it is only a guess, that most swf groups are just having fun playing with their friends. They aren't super try hard. They are just playing for fun. Which probably means their survival rate isn't much higher than solo. This would mean there aren't enough try hard swf groups to offset it. Meaning the overall survival rate isn't that different. Which would mean the recognize the power of the try hard 4 man swf, and want to level it out.
All this is just speculation. But I think it's probably the thought process they're using.

They only nerf killers now so survivors can have more fun.
Bnp, Insta Blind flashlights, Insta Heals, Pallet Vacuum, Balanced Landing, Infinite loops. Need I go on? I'm not saying these weren't justified. But the idea that they only nerf killers is bullshit.

Give solo survivors much of the info SWF has and buff killers around it. How exactly it should be done is up for debate, but it needs to happen in some respect.
But therein lies the problem. Giving solo players that level of information will be nearly impossible. Especially since they just said Kindred as base kit would be too strong.
-
I mean it's not. But what do you want them to do about swf?
-
I honestly don't understand BHVR here. Why is it fine for killers to dodge but not survivors? I don't think they should remove killers seeing items. But how is it consistent to leave one and not the other? Yes, I know it was a bug. But it was also something that everyone loved. I barely ever saw people dodging lobbies due to seeing the others ranks. I have to question whether it really was an issue.

I suppose I should rephrase. Keys and Mori's aren't unfair in my opinion. They can be incredibly strong. I've made my idea on how to balance them a bit better known in several threads.

You are implying that the developers care about the feedback of the Nurse rework. Judging by how silent they went about it, they were pretty satisfied.
I think it more likely they knew it would cause an uproar and decided to ride it out. I don't see them making such another massively controversial move so soon.
-
I approve this thread.

His addon rework is coming up. You are delusional if you think the Devs won't change some aspects of his basekit.
Not sure if they'd have the balls after the Nurse nerf outcry. They might touch his kit. But I really hope not. I'm a survivor main, and think he's the perfect killer. Strong without being oppressive to face.

@HollowsGrief said:
Uh keys are balanced my dude. An item that lets you have a free escape with 0 counterplay is fine, it's a survivor item after all so it's balanced. Now a mori on the other hand, those are OP and need to be nerfed to only be cosmetic items for the final hook.
Alright to be serious though, don't get your hopes up on it being nerfed my dude, the devs are very survivor biased even if they swear up and down that they are not. Minor nerf to BL, absolutely butcher the new killer. Bug that screws a survivor: fixed in no longer than a week. Bug that makes a killer very clunky and sucks for them (sound bug, spirit/wraith lunge post power) those take months to fix. I mean take a look at how long it took them to rework Freddy, a killer who was so trash that he got his own tier on the killer scale. Survivors get nerfs here and there sure, but it is almost always either extremely minor (Balanced Landing) or something that never should have existed in the first place (Mettle of Man.)
Seriously my dude don't stress about keys, they are very likely here to stay.
Insta heals, Bnp, Insta flashlights...need I go on? The devs can and have nerfed plenty of things they consider OP. I personally don't think keys are OP (or Mori's for that mbv matter. But I do believe they will nerf both. Probably this summer. Assuming they can find a way to do it they are happy with.
