i was averaging 219k bp/per game and always bulk spending because yes it did seem to guarantee a higher number of cakes. i played around 1000 matches over 28 days so definitely atypical of the normal player to achieve this although someone who was only pumping cakes into p100s or killers could do it in far fewer games.
1,000 matches…did you sleep this past month?
-
Imo it's a nerf because it's weaker in the scenario you need it most. It's better if the majority of the team is alive but at that point it's just a win more kind of perk. I'm not saying it's terrible as it still has it's uses but it's definitely overall weaker imo.
-
Imo the best way to do it is add the perks to the pause menu. That way the trial is already started so you won't have a bunch of dodging but people will still have the information.

Even if you reduce it down to a meme build there's nothing wrong with that. So people don't always want to play the must win at any cost attitude. Playing the jump scare killer is fun to do every now and then.
It's fun when you can actually do it. Alot of maps are far too open to play Scratched Mirror on without alot of misery.

If that’s the case then that’s a huge buff for survivors in general because now if someone gets slugged there is no reason for the other survivors to leave gens to pick them up.
It would depend on the timer. Having someone on the floor for 90 seconds is a long time and definitely is worth coming for the pickup. If it were only 60 seconds it might be better to leave them. All this is even assuming it will be on a timer.
-
I think the ability to leave something similar to the Unknowns hallucinations around the map would be cool. It would give him a bit of map control and add to the idea he could be anywhere. Maybe make his T3 a bit more intimidating by giving him a little faster pallet breaking and stun recovery.
-
I would guess length of time slugged and number of survivors slugged. Something like after 90 seconds of being slugged you can pick yourself up.
-
Playing in a way that makes others miserable should not be encouraged.
-
My very first killer was Myers back in 2017. Halloween is my favorite horror franchise so the fact I could play as him is why I tried DbD to begin with. My first main was Wraith because I've always liked the stealth killers.

I really don't get the appeal lol. I'm glad you're happy though.

Well I‘m really bad with him. When in power I miss most hits and his turn rate is so slow, which makes navigating cluttered maps frustrating. Not to mention that I need to get a power first. Most of the time I‘m better of not using the power and his M1s become weird in demon dash form.
Do you play with a controller or M&K? I'm on Playstation and found his turning is pretty decent. You just have to kinda counter rotate the sticks. Getting his power active can definitely be painful though.
-
I mean if they're so frustrated/upset they DC it does solve the issue for that person. At least for that moment. I'm not advocating for or condoning people doing it but I understand why people sometimes throw their hands up in disgust and go next.

The killer is weak to pre-running.
I think that's going to depend on the map/positioning of his doors. If the door is facing in a way where you can't see the panel it's going to be hard to pre-run. Even if you can pre-run if the map is relatively open he does have a projectile. Pre-running is a counter sure, but not always a practical one.
@topic I don't own ST and never will so I can only speak to what I see from the survivor's perspective. I find ST annoying to face but I don't think he's OP at all. As time goes on people will learn to better counter him as they always have.
-
It's unfortunate that Mirror Myers took the hit but the offerings were problematic.

No, what I mean is that people who play DBD for a living and are really good players dont go against good Survivors that often. So you cannot really convince me that your matchmaking is much different. At max you will have the same ratio of good Survivors and then you should be doing fine.
And yes, if you only care for the upper part of Forgotten Ruins, you still need to be good at the game. I think this is obvious. If you are #########, no strategic play of a map will help you. But since you seem to be at some gigachad MMR, I think you must be very, very good.
And to be honest - in its core, DBD is a simple game. Just so many players who think that they are better than they actually are who are overcomplicting things.
Tbf the bar for what would constitute a good survivor for someone like Otz or Hens is a hell of alot higher than your average player. Give an average team of survivors a favorable map against an M1 killer and that game will often feel pretty unbalanced. I do agree that alot of players think they're better than they actually are. That doesn't remove the massive difference a map can make to a game though.

ah yes the whole swf and mmr is just an illusion doesn't exist because it doesn't effect me, play the game around 2/3 am and u will see what kinda of "special server" survivors u will get
its about the time not the damn server, on the day u will get random survivors from good to new
night on the other hand well gl trying to be casual
i didn't claim to go against good survivors all the time, but they do exist sorry to dissapoint and they can make maps even that are even killer sided winnable, i know crazy, people working together to win
i know when im outplayed but when im trying to deal with people that know how to pressure me in a map with 2 floors as an m1 killer, i tend to get more annoyed why the map is designed like that not the survivors, because i know they are doing well
and the whole just pressure the 3 top gens are we just forgetting i need to be in chase and down and a survivor can be good in chase or what exactly?
i wouldn't complain if i was playing nurse or dash killer or any killer that has a bit of mobility
there are so many factors into this yet this community loves to just simplfy it to "just do this, do that, bring this, bring that"
meat plant : JuST BrEaK ThE PaLlEts
I know it's not really the point you were making but for me 2 to 3 am is when things start to become more chill.

map bans are whatever but if you're going to limit gen regression perks you have to heavily nerf survivors in all aspects to compensate
I don't think there should be a limit but how often do you see more than two regression perks in a game?
-
On the one hand I'd hate to lose alot of that stuff as I think Badham has a really unique look. On the other hand it is a bit nutty. I'd like to see them shrink it down and make it a bit less safe to start. See how thay does before fully reworking it.

There's no need to be skilled at hitting greats.
All the survivors need is a 120 FPS + good reaction time, even some of the average players can hit greats with 6 tokens HF and 0 stacks with stake out. if you can't hit greats consistently with 120fps then you need to check your eyes or something idk.
You realize not everyone is on PC right? We don't all get to play at 120fps.

You don't need to be a comp player to do gens or to hit skill checks…….
if you typed in YT "dbd gen rush build" you'll see the same build Hens and every survivor using, which is (Hyperfocus, Stake Out, Built to Last) i've seen the same 3 perks in my solo Q games almost every time.
I understand that. I'm just saying your average player isn't hitting greats with the consistency of Hens.

I play both and I still think the game is super killer-sided. The issue is you can be a garbage killer and do okay or good by being cheap, but there's no similar out for bad to just okay survivors. If a survivor team isn't solid and team-minded then they're usually screwed.
I spend more time on survivor currently, am better at it, and genuinely try. I regularly get killed by absolutely terrible killers who panic at the end of the game and start slugging or tunneling. Egregious, multi-person slugging happens in at least 1 out of 5 of my surv matches. Since the change to be able to mori the last surv, I encounter almost no fun or merciful killers.
On the flipside, I put pretty much no effort into killer. I play super duper fair. No camping, no tunneling, swerving on recently unhooked survs, lots of mercy/hatch-giving, and only slugging if there's shenanigans. I still steamroll people much better than me. I've been playing as Micheal, who I have like no experience with, for the last couple days. 4ks almost every match with no red add-ons. I legit feel bad and sometimes apologize to people. They're better than me and I'm just crushing them.
I'm never going to feel like I have to play dirty. If people are better than me than they deserve the win, but people seem incapable of taking a deserved L. I'm all for killers getting hooks and kills as a surv when they earn them, but a massive chunk of my deaths are undeserved.
For example, here are some of my monthly stats. Note the insane difference in hours played versus how things have gone for me. My survivor is a p100 just barely being average. My Micheal is like a p5 lol

Yes, let's say it's changed from the survivor's perspective. Before, you could "play relaxed." All old players remember Meg wandering around the maps to purify dull totems... now you're either 100% effective on generators or you're simply dead.🤣
Hey, I wasn't a Meg. People appreciated my totem cleansing when they didn't get hit with Noed.

There are lots and lots of Chinese players in the game that use VPNs to play on western servers. They make up the majority of AFK Doctors in my experience.
Yeah it was incredibly frustrating. It was the first time in a very long time I got truly pissed off playing DbD. I couldn't understand what was wrong. Only later did I realize the likely cause.

I've randomly been getting high ping despite having no issues on my end. I'm sure Survivors are getting shuffled off to random servers to meet demand.
I had one survivor who had Asian characters for their name so I think at least some of these are VPN people.

Obviously i suck with values thats up to devs to decide and balanace around.
But you get the point for other killers too
I'm a firm believer no killer should sit below B tier. Every killer should stand a fair chances against average survivors.
-
I hope so. There are so many maps that are just stupidly big. Or you get maps like Haddonfield. A nicely balanced map is hard to come by.
-
A casual mode wouldn't work for the reasons you've mentioned. Perhaps a competitive mode would though? It would explicitly be a mode for those looking for a challenge. Not sure how it would work out but it might be an interesting idea.

I am very much up for S tier to be removed from basically securing you S tier out of the box.
I think meeting in middle ground with majority of them being A Tier potentially being S tier in the right hands by utilizing perks as well only should still be viable, after all you still need skill to use perks in your favor.
My question for you right now is and for @thrawn3054 to check out my post for myers rework, it keeps his current ability by making it more of a passive stage phase ability rather than his ability ability, and then adds ability that doesnt really give him capacity to make him overboard lethal rather so it gives him that boogeyman vibe going on like in movies, he is being slept on his potential honestly.
It's an interesting idea.
-
Yes, I think they intentionally made the gears look like a face to further emphasize how the survivors are all cogs to the same machine.
-
I think it's gears/cogs. I'd guess it's meant to symbolizes teamwork (cogs/gears fitting/working together).

Re-introducing the original effect of Windstorm where it increased the speed boost after uncloaking (I know its basekit now, but make it increase the duration of the effect)
An add on that makes it so a Survivor emmits a TR for a certain duration
An add on that gradually increases his movement speed while cloaked
An add on that makes him completely invisible (with some sort of downside)
These are just a few things I could quickly come up with, imagine a full team sitting down to discuss what they can add
I do like the idea of the extended speed boost. Not sure about the others. I see your point though.

I've been seeing ALOT of players during the event from korea, china, australia, japan and the general east side of the globe in UK/EU servers, feels like lots of people are VPNing during this event tbh.
Might be that. I know I was getting extremely frustrated because alot of hits I know should have landed weren't.
-
I haven't seen a bunch of rework suggestions being panned. While imo any killer sitting below B tier needs looked at, that needs to be done with care. You don't want to lose what makes that killer different. You risk alienating the people who already love that particular killer. There's also the concern of making every killer have a dash some other mobility based power.
In short weaker killers need help but it needs to be handled with care.

I mean Im not saying his add ons are bad, but we dont need 3 copies of the same add on. He could have so much more.
I'm not sure what else can be done really. With a power that simple it's hard to have interesting addons that relate to his power.
-
Match making (like always) has been a mess. I've also noticed I'm getting alot of survivors with high ping. Not sure if I've been getting people from the wrong servers or what is going on.
-
We have survivors of White, Black, Asian, Hispanic, and Middle Eastern dissent. DbD is pretty diverse.
-
@Shroompy said:
Might be controversial, but Wraith
Should he be a priority? No, since his add ons are still decent. But a lot of them are just the same with different values. For example he has 3 different Swift Hunts, 3 Windstorms, 2 Shadow Dances (and more Im not thinking of)
He should also get Shadow Dance basekit, maybe 20-25%.
As an avid Wraith enjoyer I think his addons are in a pretty good spot tbh. There's alot of repetition sure but quite alot of variety as well.
@topic I think Nemmy is the biggest stand out as someone needing an addon rework.

Is that really possible?
I did it with several survivors that I don't own/have no intention of buying.
-
Blood Fever: After hooking a survivor you get 5% haste for 20/25/30 seconds.
Fury: After you are stunned by a pallet or blinded by any means receive a 10% haste for 10/12/15 seconds.
What You Leave Behind: When you kick a generator the last survivor to have worked on the generator screams and has their aura revealed for 6/8/10 seconds.
Misdirection: You start the trial with one token. Press the active ability button to create a 20 meter trail of scratch marks leading in the direction you're facing. Suppresses scratch marks made by you for 6/8/10 seconds. Repair a generator for 30% progress to regain a token. You can have a maximum of 2 tokens.

I don't think they're suggesting everyone needs to farm. Just maybe pump the breaks if the other side is getting their teeth kicked in. I swear every event brings out the turbo try hards on both sides.
-
I had a particularly brutal match just yesterday on the Iron Works of Misery. All I can say is have there always been so many pallets? I swear I broke 25 of them and there were more left.

Not sure I follow this.
I assumed the speed would be 85%. Meaning you heal just 15% slower than "100%". 100% being the speed one heals another.
Where the hell does 52.5% come in?
Because if you're using Self Care to heal you heal at 35%. If you bring Botany and start healing with Self Care you a 50% increase to the 35% rate at which you heal. Meaning you get 50% of the 35% which is 17.5%. The 17.5% is added to the 35% giving you 52.5%. If it was 85% Self Care/Botany Knowledge would be the meta.

It has to be said though she was p100 a before auto bloodweb & as I haven't used a syringe in years on this game I actively ignore / avoided them during level ups, was just a waste of bp for me personally.
Like 90% of bloodwebs are unfortunately 🙄
I used to avoid them back when then insta-healed two health states. Same with old BnPs. They just felt unfair so I avoided them in the bloodwebs.

You're implying the majority of players give up. I don't believe that to be the case. It's a small group of players that only care for themselves that will give up the moment the game doesn't go their way or they go up against something they don't like. The less of these type playing the more enjoyable the game becomes for everyone else.
If it's such a small group then why were DC penalties and anti go next features added? I seem to recall hook suicides/DCs being referred to as an epidemic. I don't believe you can have it be an epidemic and be only a small group doing it.
