Neither really. It's basically just a hatch stand off where the first one to blink loses.
-
It's honestly weird how often you get the camped/repeatedly hit on hook treatment for playing semi decently. As a side note for me it's a disproportionate amount of Huntress's for some reason.
-
for. Would bet most of the time they don't bother reading your bio.

I honestly don’t understand why BHVR thinks it’s ok to make changes, like survivor icons, to make the survivor experience feel better….. but killers can’t even get an FoV slider to make their experience feel better?
This would be the perfect opportunity for both sides to get an experience improvement at the same time. Killers could still stay in first person view, and get an FoV slider to bridge the gap between killer FoV and survivor FoV.
Because the game was balanced around the smaller killer fov.

Are killers going to get any additional game information as compensation? Or is this going to be exactly like SWF voice communication, where survivors get extra benefits, and killers get zero compensation and just have to deal with it?
Can killers see the action icons too, so they can know how many survivors are doing generators?
Killers need compensation for a tiny information buff that only effects solo queue?

ABOUT TIME......ONLY TOOK 1 YEAR AND A HALF..
anyway the icons looks promising but they are a bit SMALLER... for my taste
Mandy strongly hinted it will be.

Try practicing with the bots to help you get a feel for her.

No, that's not true. Going to another gen = incapacitation is already gone. It solves everything.
You just wasted 25 seconds. Running to another gen doesn't solve anything. If Eruption just blocked the gen then it would be a solution.

who needs camping knight when you have bubba that can do the job much better?
Bubba is too fun to just camp with. It honestly makes me sad how often he's relegated to the Camp Champ.
-
When the map is gigantic. Also invisible walls. I swear the number of times I've had Bubba go into a tantrum after hitting thin air...

Insta-saw was a little dumb and the complaints were valid, I feel.
Yes but that was basically the only complaint anybody had.

Man I wish people stopped wanting every killer to be Nurse/Blight/Spirit tier.
That's not what he said. If you played before the Billy nerf you would know he was easily the most loved killer. He was strong but no where near oppressive. Killer mains loved him because he was fun and rewarding to play. Survivor mains loved him because the matches were almost always a blast.
-
A normal game? One where both sides play relaxed. The killer doesn't camp/tunnel out the first survivor. The survivors aren't forced to hard focus gens because the killer has made a safe rescue impossible.
You say survivor entitlement but both sides bear responsibility for bad games. There's an arms race between survivors and killers making fun back and forth games difficult to find. If everyone chilled things would be alot more fun.
-
I took a long break and recently came back as well. Honestly it hasn't been too bad for me. Solo queue is not really better or worse from when I played last. Eruption is a pain and hopefully they'll nerf the incapacitated part soon. Otherwise it's been okay.
I haven't messed with killer in live servers much. I've been using the bots to get a feel for them back as well as get comfortable with ones I hadn't really previously touched. I highly recommend doing that with the killers you're struggling with.
-
If there is a DC/HS. If they were trying but it was just a rough game. Teammates didn't do anything. Sometimes to be nice.

I miss those days when facing a Billy was a regular thing.
Fr aside from insta saw he was the one killer nearly everyone was happy to see. The really did him dirty.
-
Lethal is hardly a big deal. You can easily make safely if you pay attention.
-
Dead Hard for distance was a valid strategy too. That doesn't mean it was any less annoying.
-
If a large number of players are having an issue with something it probably needs looking at.
-
The only issue I see with Eruption is the Incapacitated status. The 25 seconds is just way too long. If it was closer to 10 or 15 seconds it might not be too bad.
-
@Crowman said:
I've messed around with them, but being bots they are highly expoitable.
Bots vs Pinhead: The bots only attempt to solve the box while you are carrying a survivor. They also don't understand to dodge the chains.
Bots vs Nemesis Zombies: I've seen the bots get by zombies so much without even being around so I don't think they fully understand to avoid the zombie.
Bots also love to run to the edge of the map and run around a Z wall.
They do love those Z walls lol.
-
Huntress, Freddy, Twins, and Pyramid Head are worse off.
-
It's kind of an obnoxious perk with the incapacitated bit. I'd prefer that get removed and they up the regression amount.
-
So you'd rather waste 4 minutes of your time than pick up and risk being hit by a almost never seen combo? Are you really that hard up for a single kill?

Trapper: I'm not sure what buff to give him.
Wraith: The time he takes to uncloak needs decreased.
Billy: Over heat and his horrible animations killed him.
Nurse: She clearly needs more blinks. Kidding obviously.
Myers: He needs to be 110 in tier 1. His stalking speed shouldn't be effected by range. Make it the same as Ghostface, a 40 meter range. Tier 3 should be more threatening. Maybe give him a mini Endurance and Brutal Strength while in tier 3.
Hag: Remove the weakness to flashlights her traps have. Allow survivors to disarm them similar to Trappers traps.
Doctor: He's in a good spot in my opinion.
Huntress: She's another killer in a solid spot. Maybe make her 115 but that would be it.
Bubba: Again a killer who is in a good place.
Freddy: I'm not sure how to help him honestly. Maybe bring back he sees your aura while asleep if you're outside his TR?
Piggy: My poor girl has had it so bad for so long. First thing I'd do is move the roar when she dashes to the very beginning of the actual dash. Secondly when she's crouching her TR needs to disappear immediately. Thirdly her traps need to be active as soon as she puts them on your head.
Clown: Not sure what to do for him. Maybe reduce how much he's slowed while reloading bottles. Also give him separate pools for yellow and pink bottles. Another thought is he could reload at lockers in addition to manual reloading.
Spirit: I think she's at a good place.
Legion: Those angstie teens are also doing alright.
Plague: Old Vommy Mommy is doing her thing pretty well. That said, can we pretty please lower the volume of the voices while rolling with her red puke? I swear you can't hear a thing.
Ghostface: His wonky detection boxes need some work.
Demo: He's solid. Also he probably can't be touched.
Oni: Aside from a faster passive gain to his Blood Fury Bam Bam is doing great.
Deathslinger: I personally hate him but he needs several of his nerfs lessened or flat reversed. Looking at you TR and ADS.
Pyramid Head: Another killer in a good spot.
Blight: The king of pinball is killing it and us out there.
Twins: The dynamic duo are a great team. Only problem I see is the travel time it takes to hook someone after Victor downs a survivor. Maybe give Charlotte a speed boost for 5 seconds after Victor downs a survivor? Also Victor needs cosmetics. I demand a top hat and monocle for him.
Trickster: much as I hate him, he definitely needs help. Unfortunately I don't have any ideas here.
Nemesis: This big boy is doing pretty well overall.
Pinhead: The OG of body modification holds his own pretty well.
Artist: Who says crazy cat ladies have all the fun? Our Corvid caretaker is having all the fun.
Sadako: Another that needs so help. Sadly I'm sure how to help her.
Dredge: I don't have enough experience with him to say where he stands.
Wesker: Same as Dredge. However he seems to need very little help.
Tldr: About half the roster needs some tweaks with 7 needing some major work.
-
I always thought charms are silly and never bother equipping them. This is definitely the exception.

It seems to have split the fanbase right in half as I feel like every post on The Twitter I see about it, people LOVED it or they HATED it.
I posted another thought about it in the thread that is in General after another poster gave their thoughts and I stand by them
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3230066#Comment_3230066
I think that poster was absolutely right that the movie was an interesting idea and tried to do something really different but there was no good payoff for that gamble. It's like they decided to do a huge gamble with the last movie only to chicken out at the end.
I give them credit for trying something very different. I don't know that it worked though.

Except her some add-ons what's wrong with her? It does not makes Nurse issue because you are bad against her. Nerf her add-ons and she will be okey.
I mean, her power ignores every survivor defense. To me anything that completely breaks the rules every other killer has to play by is poor design.
@topic to me this update is overall a really solid one. The reduction in the cost of the bloodwebs is by far the best part imo.
-
So your plan is to make it harder for them to get experience and hopefully learn how to play?
-
The only reason I think it's too much is you can see the direction the killer is headed.

Am I the only person that goes into a solo q with the mindset to prioritize my own escape? I know it may sound selfish, but that's the name of the game to escape.
Sure, I'll help out if it's convenient or I know someone is reliable and can help me get out. Also, I would never actively sabotage someone else chances of escaping. However, at the end of the day, if someone goes down because of NOED or someone is being camped, I'm going to prioritize my own escape.
Of course you aren't the only one. I don't generally care so I'll do what I feel like. Of course sometimes I just leave as well.

No you're not, but you're also one of the people who prevents a lot of 3-4Es because of your mindset and priorities. Escaping is 5k points and being able to keep your item, thats it. You can do more to assure your survival with info perks while also being able to better keep everyone else alive at the same time, Kindred, Windows, and Empathy all do more to give you a chance at survival than stuff like giving up on the match and playing for hatch because its starting to go in the killer's favor. I'm not saying you should never take hatches or anything like that, just that it should not be the priority. Hell, you can sometimes get more than that 5k in a single chase vs the killer when things are looking unwinnable to begin with. All it really takes are some chase time and like 2 pallet drops.
I feel people put way too much weight into whether they survive the match or not, like their character dies for real if they don't escape or something. Maybe they just absolutely hate the entity sounds and animations when you die. It just always seemed weird to me when the only thing the game really gives you for it is allowing you a chance to actually get survival points when are they going to fix this stupid category to not be so ass.
Fr, I wish survival points weren't so hard to get.

I’d get mad at the player not the killer.
Also, I had nothing to do with that 💀
Obviously it's not the characters fault. The question is why is it so prevalent with Spirit players. Weaker killers it at least makes sense even if it sucks. For some reason the cheapest tactics seem to go hand in hand with Spirit players. Considering her strength it's baffling.

I agree with Freddy but Billy and slinger were not fine.
Im not talking about base Billy I’m talking his insta saw addons they were busted as ######### and made Billy incredibly unfair. That was fixed but overheat he could have done without.
Slinger on the other hand was not fine. He’s the prime definition of lose lose situations no matter how you played or ran you could never dodge a good slinger it’s virtually impossible to dodge a projectile that can be shot in under .15 seconds.
Insta saw needed the nerf, but that was all on Billy. The killed him so hard.

Well it’s because generally camping and tunneling are “legitimate strategies” stated by the devs. It’s not Spirit’s fault.
True, but let's be real. If you have to do these things as Spirit, you just suck at the game.
As an aside, at least make your alt account a bit less obvious lol.

I disagree on the number of times, camping can be done at every stage of the game and the best, most strongest camp is the one done right after a rehook. Camping should be thorougly punished and should have a basekit hard counter, since we cant have basekit things because the forum will be flooded by a river of Killer tears it has to be a perk, at least make it formidable.
I agree during EGC it should deactivate just to stop people holding the game for an absurd amount of time with barely any chance to do anything but trading hooks.
My concern is the potential for abuse by swf. As I said though it is a maybe in my mind. I'm not sure yet if it will be needed.

People that suicide on hook don't get an opinion.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3124231#Comment_3124231
I'll play normally with the other survivors and ignore the immature player waiting beneath hook if they make it that obvious they're trying to get themselves out of the game. Like you know, defending gens, chasing the other survivors, etc.
Pretty sure you don't determine who gets an opinion. For instance my opinion is it's pretty pathetic that your first response to a perk meant to help with camping is you got a new griefing tool.
