The point of the reverse bear traps is to waste the survivors time, not to kill them. Can they kill? Sure, but if you're relying on them to secure kills you're playing them wrong.
-
Simple and fairly easy to do. I like it.
-
It still takes skill. You have to actually catch them to begin with.Theluckyboi said:@tehshadowman33 said:
The only change we need is to have the number of unbroken totems on the map displayed to all players, including Killer.Other than that, it's fine.
the problem with NOED is exactly the same one as with DS: it punishes players for playing good
you can end a chase in a matter of seconds and still the survivor will stab you prolonging the chase more than it should be
exactly the same thing with NOED, you could have played fairly well but the killer will down you, all without the need of skill
Cleansing the totems is no viable counterplay as slugging was not as well

@RabidWabbitz In part I'd say people jump to licensed killers because it's easier then describing an original killer idea. Personally I'm not bothered if the next killer is an original design or licensed. Also it's entirely possible they are trying to bring in more licensed killers but are having problems securing the rights.

@thrawn3054 What do you think about the Killer itself?
Definitely a neat idea. Might need a secondary ability though. Something like the pigs dash maybe? Not exactly like it, but similar. I'll have to think a bit to see if I can come up with a good idea. -
It would need testing to make sure it isn't too strong. I do think it would fit the character more though.
-
It's an interesting idea. I think the last perk should apply to the survivors you're not in a chase with. It would lend more to the idea of surprise attacks.
-
On the subject has anyone else noticed a huge surge in camping lately?
-
Thanks for the advice.
-
I don't think prestigeing a character would suck so bad if there wasn't the bp cap.
-
I doubt it. The game files would surely have been mined for that information by now if it existed.
-
Teabagging in any game is just a scum move. The only purpose it has is to try to humiliate someone. People can try to defend it as tactics all the want. But as most of the teabagging takes place at the exit gate I think we all know the tactics argument is a lie.
-
I don't care so much about piping. I care more about escaping. If I can't escape as long as I do well I'm happy. Unless of course my chances to escape are ruined by my team being incompetent.
-
If the killer camps punish them by working gens. It's really not that complicated. Does it suck when you're the one being camped? Of course. But survivors have the counter. All they have to do is use it.
-
Probably because the injured survivor is easier to find usually. If I catch them unhooking or just after the hook I go for the one going for the save. Ideally I'll drop them both. Otherwise I'm fine havibg them trade places on the hook.
-
Claudette was my first survivor that I played regularly. I wanted to unlock selfcare for everyone. After that she was still my main because I liked her story
-
Maybe they could make it so the hatch needs a key that you have to find as the last survivor?
-
I mean it's a dick thing but yours is a bit of an overreaction.
-
I think it more likely you'd see him in his human body as Charles Lee Ray.

It wouldn't be impossible, but highly unlikely. I say that because you'll always have the push and pull between killer and survivor mains. The moment that the devs do something to buff the killers the survivor mains cry foul. As the survivor mains out number the killer mains we know whos going to win that fight. The "survivor mains" cry louder with numbers "the killer mains" cry better with logic and facts(most of the time).
I didn't say that most of the time the killer mains points weren't valid. Just being realistic. If the majority of your player base is survivors then you'll tend to make survivor friendly choices. -
They're not ruining anything. Both sides do things the other won't like. That's simply any game. Does it suck when you get camped? Yes.

Camping exist you need to get over it. Does is suck when you're on the receiving end? Absolutely, but others have told you how to counter it. Camping is a terrible strategy if you recognize and play around it. But if being camped is making you so unhappy give up on the hook and move to the next game.
-
I use the same judgment I use for every other hooking. Do I think I can get them off the hook without getting us both killed or simply trading spots? If yes I'll go for it, if not I won't. It all comes down to reading the situation. I will make sure the gates are open before the attempt though.
-
Maybe change ruin to be time based rather then a hex? After the match starts you get a 3 minute count down after which ruin expires. People can still work through ruin and it'd give the killer a chance to have their perk do something.
-
You can be toxic on both sides of course. I have to disagree with some of the points made though. I don't think slugging is toxic. The example of slugging and following the person is just weird. Slugging has it's strategic uses. Camping is a bit more questionable to me. If they're full on face camping it's generally just bad strategy. If they're patrolling (something people often mistake for camping) that's just a strategy. Tunneling while not a nice thing to have happen to you is also not really toxic to me. Getting rid of a person early will help your chances as a killer. It sucks when it happens to you, but you can't blame the killer for killing.
-
I think people can hardly be blamed for being upset that the product the purchased isn't working. Yes, issues will arise and most people will be understanding of that. But at a certain point peoples understanding will wane. I've had the game for a while now and it seems I keep running into issues not allowing me to play it. Given that my experience can hardly be unique is it any wonder players are frustrated?

By definition every single perk and add on are crutches. I like TrueTalent, and he's welcome to his opinion, as is the OP. But like I said every perk is a crutch. (Aside from those that don't do anything useful)
-
I'd say it's too powerful. Maybe a perk to reset dropped pallets that weren't broken? Probably also too powerful but might be okay.
-
Yeah I don't get people. I'll never see a need to teabag. It's just rude.
