That works until every gen is regressing except the ones being worked on. At that point, you might as well just crank out as much progress as you can rather than leave proof that your there and NOT make any progress.
if the jadon is going around in OE using deputy badge blowing though his 8 kicks not checking the area checking 4 seperate gens that helps survivors since jason is running out of kicks while survivors aren't using pallets or windows so jason is just throwing since he isn't taking a chase

You'd still need to hop on a gen to stop the regression to burn through those.
yea then i said the jasons who use it pass through the area instead of checking the area so if you just wait a second or 2 work on the gen and he'll burn through his kicks

OE in general since deputies badge is his most used addon.
i personally see deputy badge as terrible but it still eats through the 8 kick limitso just abuse that fact and he'll burn through it since jasons who run it pass through instead of check the area

Except generally all gen progress is being regressed if survivors keep stealthing every time Jason enters OE. The amount of crouchwalking im seeing the whole match is crazy.
are you talking about when jason specifically is using a totem build? or OE in general if it's the latter that's false since progress is paused but gens aren't regressing if it's the former that's true and the survivors are going to look for ruin

I feel like maybe I was unclear... Jason doesnt ACTUALLY have to run corrupt for this effect. Theres no timer to wait out. You just have a case of survivors not touching gens for a large part of the match. This is especially troubling when the only progress theyre making is 1 guy trying to cleanse a totem, since it becomes assured thats the guy gonna get chased. If you have several gens being progressed like with any other killer, it wouldn't feel like Jason is pressuring every survivor at the same time and the guy at the hex totem would have a better chance of cleansing it.
you aren't understanding what i'm saying. if jason is in OE scoping out neither objective is being done so nothing is being lost unless jason has a perk on a timer in the beginning of the match also it arguable hurts jason to use a totem build since OE gives survivors more of a chance to come across their totem trying to avoid jason

Thats the biggest difference im seeing with other killers. Often times it feels like Jason has built in corrupt since no one wants to touch a gen at the beginning of the match when survivors are generally at their strongest and would normally get the most gen progress. You dont see survivors crouching away from a gen everytime Wraith goes Bing bong and stealths around. The complete lack of pressure gives Jason all the time in the world to do anything.
i mean survivors aren't really using any resources either it's a stalemate arguably in the survivors favor if the killer has a perk that has a timer in the beginning

That's not even remotely close to equivalent. It's just a status effect. The killer can still see and hear the person. Undetectable perks like Dark Devotion are the closer equivalent because Eluisve is a weaker version of Undetectable.
you do realize the point of chase music is to blare out the sound of breathing and footsteps so no you can't because if the survicor leaves that loop with elusive you can't track them and waste time looking for them in a loop they may or not be also no dark devotion puts your terror radius specifically on the obsession and they get a speed boost away feom you while applying it and elusive is way stronger than undetectable because scratch marks pools of blood aura are the only ways killers can track when the survivors leave los

…where the last survivor had higher chances to get the hatch when not struggling against the killer?
Killers were either "Nope I deserve that hook" or "A'ight we cool"i remember the before times when swfs used to 4 escape at 1 gen with a key because hatch spawning was dependant on gens and amount of survivors alive

Other perks which cause way more balancing issues are left untouched.
Is it because this perk is the new flavor of the month to complain about?
cross is busted in chase because elusive removes everything and all you need to do is follow the light paths and the hitbox is ao big it's multi floor and you get it when getting hit
a killer equivalent would be if killer got event poison but you were at walking speed immediately showed your aura within 16m and never went away till you died. i know for a fact survivors would be complaining why it even left the ptb

I have been told it is survivor sided, killer sided, etc so many many many many many many many many many……. many times by different people.
Personally I do tend to believe it is survivor sided (as every 1 second of killer time is 4 secs of survivor time +numerous 2nd chance perks) but I am wanting to hear what yall would say, and suggestions to "fix" any balance issues.
if both sides were competent survivors hands down they win even harder as a swf there uis a eeason why dbd comp has to restrict perks/perk combos because survivors are that strong

For morsel invisibility they make a tinkling sound in addition to breathing and footsteps. They also have collison. I've hit them while invisible. At the very least, you can hear them enough to stay around them until it wears off.
The portals, though, are a bigger issue. They're the only thing I think is truly busted on survivor in this mode. Everything else is manageable but these pre-run to portal matches make me want to give up.
the point of the chase music is to hide those sounds so you'll lose them quickly

See here's another person saying "just do X" and leaving out all the nuance.
Even if survivors do this it's still a win for Jason because survivors are wasting time not advancing their objective and odds are Jason will find a survivor sooner rather than later by making educated guesses as to where survivors spawn at the beginning of the match and being able to instantly hop back into OE if he's wrong. Entity help them if they dare to touch a lit totem.
you do know what a stalemate is right? jason isn't advancing his objective either and if he's guessing that means he's wasting time giving survivors an oppotunity to advance their obkjective since he has to wait before going back in his power so if they for insrance find out that ruin is in play or find it wandering for a gen and get rid of it

well they want to nerf killers instead of different killers needing different counterplay they instead beg for nerfs so it's a one size fits all counterplay so they don't have to think or try

@ForTheEntity said:

Well Jason can appear out of nowhere right next to a survivor on most generators, get a quick M1 and follow up with a quick spear. Often he can get a down in less than 10 seconds and I bet Hens does that often. After that then only a maximum of 2 gens get worked on while Ruin does its work.
It's the same old routine in DbD discussion when something needs a nerf, people call for nerfs and other people counter with "Just do X!" It's never that simple.
I think Jason needs better telegraphing on where he was while he is using Omnipresent Evil. Something like if he is within 24-32m of a survivor the fog changes in some manner. He shouldn't be able to pressure the entire map with an ability that never goes on cooldown, that's why he's such an excellent pub stomper.
no? because in the beginning (unless the survivor is that confident in looping or jason has lethal) how the match starts is people crouch walk and you have to guess where they are since crouch walking (especially urban) gives no information and if the survivors tap a gen and ruin goes off they'll go looking for ruin/undying/thrill and if 2 people go looking 1 goes on the gen and 1 in chase it's up to jason and with the spike hitboxes being smaller your more likely to dodge than a huntress hatchet
this is also a problem since survivors can't read a hud and make decisions based of what other people do on it

self aware really? You guys need to stop being in denial about how omnipresent evil is worse than, wraiths uncloak, and dracula’s batform. It’s only better than spirit’s phase. None of you know what a stalemate is apparently and are just bad at the game.
even in a stalemate there are still 4 survivors so if they all split and do 4 seperate gens jason loses unless he gets a down in 30 seconds since the survivors can still progress their objective

I have recently gotten a bad string of games where the killers have slugging builds.
I know its a part of the game, but its not very fun going against it and I have noticed the anti abuse measures are being worked around where I live.
Killers will slug 2 times, then hook. A lot of the time letting the slugs be on the floor for a long time.
As a solo Q player this is anti fun. Inviting my friends who don't play DBD was embarrassing because it was so boring. So its bad for new players, which is bad for the game.
So I want to propose a solution, if you are slugged for 45+ seconds, give the abandon option. If your team has not made an effort at that point to help you, its literally already over anyway so I don't see why I should continue to be slugged.
And its optional. If you are in SWF and want to fight the slugging build, thats fine! You still can! But for newer players this lets them escape a very toxic and sadly now common situation that is not fun and is used to make people waste time bleeding out.
unbreakable conviction exponential use them

I do not mind any of the Survivor mechanics introduced into this Black Banquet event.
But what, really, is there for Killers to do?
Being able to Poison Survivors is actually really cool! I LOVE the Poison mechanic! But being able to Poison Survivors and only sometimes get value out of it hardly feels equitable for Killers compared to the tremendous amount of constant new mechanics being thrown at Survivors. This event is so boring for Killers, and that's been a worrying trend recently.
When new mechanics are largely only for Survivors, Killers feel neglected.Blood Moon offers absolutely zero new gameplay for Killers, just more objectives that are harder to defend.
Black Banquet is, by and large, almost exclusively constant boons for Survivors.
As Killer, I like throwing the poison bottles, but honestly it doesn't feel like it's doing much for me. And you don't get to see direct payoff from poisoning food, either. Not to mention, I keep charging my bottles and then my camera snaps around 180 degrees to force me to poison a Food Cart behind me that I didn't see.
There is very little new fun or interesting things for Killers to do, and that's been a recurring theme for new events recently.
Why did we remove the Killer anniversary mechanics? Events are becoming so boring and rather stressful more than anything for playing Killer. It makes me want to not play Killer during any events.
the answer is cope while survivors get op effects

Was playing a few games as killer today and was met with some, lets say, unhappy survivors post game. Now i played the games fairly casual. Didn't sweat for the 4k or hard tunnel anyone yet still they arn't happy (Even had the ole Instant DC because they got sniped thru a wall by vecna).
Why can't we just play DBD for fun anymore. Everything has to be about being top mmr or win streak or going in all guns blazing 4 man sweat squad/killer bring the 4 most busted perks with busted killer.
Honestly the most fun i have in DBD is when i just say screw it and just chill in the game. Stick some fun up beat music on and just play the game. If you lose then so what, you just go onto the next game.
If your incapable of having fun in the game or if your triggered that much by losing then why do you even play video games.
So I ask that next time you boot up DBD grab some goofy perks and roll with. Don't go for the kill or escape but instead make the game your own, have your win condition something else and the escape/kills are just a bonus. And if you really wanna have fun go play ghostface with Benny hill playing in the background. Trust me it will make your day :)
i don't like losing also unless i dominate survivors then give mercy if i start winning too much survivors will just be toxic and nof show merct to me

I just had what I feel like was an impossible situation, and would love to know how to deal with it in the future. Essentially, the survivors were down 2 and had 1 gen left. They hard committed to one, and I eventually just got blocked from regressing it anymore. I assume they were in a swf, because the minute I committed to chase either, the other would immediately come behind to start repairing it. Neither of them allowed me any sightlines for a tail attack, and they had enough pallets to eventually stall until they could fix the gen and get out. How do you deal in a situation like that, where they just have the resources to siege a stalemate?
It was a 50/50 split where just nothing could happen, but its kinda frustrating that despite putting in time and effort, the game will just give survivors an out. I'm trying not to fall into a mental pit trap with it, but I don't know how you approach that and come out on top. Thanks in advance!
that's the neat part you can't and it's why i hate the 8 kick limit

So… your first claim was that the counterplay to him is to crouch. I pointed out that doesn't make sense at all because you can't do gens as that reveals you to him. Are you agreeing with me that he does not have counterplay or that your first comment was nonsense and are just trying to change to a different argument?
no i'm saying the counterplay is to crouch he has no information while doing so the moment he leaves it do gens when he enters it again go to another gen or just hide somewhere since he has no information he'll be looking around for you while your team does gens and repeat this because no pallets are used you don't lose anything and if jason has perks that run on timers they're running out while you lose nothing.
ultimately jason's counterplay is patience

@esarraf said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4090405#Comment_4090405
That's… not how counterplay works. You can't work on generators or progress the game at all while crouched and you can't even stay still. Seriously no other killer has this extreme amount of lethality, mobility, and free information. He gets so much more information than even doctor, not even lockers work against Jason.
you do know that he can go after 2 people at most so if urban becomes meta which increases crouching movement speed (which i'm using) he can't detect anyone in OE and people can do gens while he's searching for people

Hello, just some small feedback. With the release of Jason. I realised that the mist or fog that he emits in his power is way way thicker and denser than what currently exists in the game on a large scale which is a good thing. I'm just giving feedback to say that the murky reagents (all of them) should maybe have a higher % or increase to the density of the fog similar to Jasons. If there's an offering for the fog, I think it'd be nice for it to have a chance to be used rather than neglected in its current state cause its not worth bringing. TLDR: Make the reagents useful or worth bringing, we want actual fog or bigger fog density rather than just some smoke that does nothing or obscures nothing. Thanks <3 Happy 10 year anniversary.
the problem is too much fog can turn it into old swamp with mist stacking where you couldn't see survivors

Did you not read? Jason can stay in his power indefinitely. You're gonna be crouching for an unknown amount of time. You also can't contribute to the match while you're crouching. You're going to be doing nothing to help your team. It's basically ratting with extra steps. Is this why so many streamers I've watched win on 4 or 5 gens with Jason? Is it because survivors like you are crouch walking around edgemap?
i just did a match with crouching against jason and he couldn't find anyone to the point of checking lockers because of how little information he gets when people crouch people will just make aura read builds on him since using OE is kinda a detriment when people know the counterplay

Jason is mostly balanced. But omni-present evil mode is broken.
i've been playing jason w corrupt and it's a struggle since everyone crouch walks everywhere giving minimal infomation to the point of having to guess where people will be

40% ( this is the actual value ) on 8 different status effects while having a 16 meter AOE around you and lingering for 15 seconds on teamates and the hinder debuff applying to basekit killer powers is way to stacked . They should at the very least make it 30% and remove the hinder debuff part if they are unable to stop it from affecting killer powers such as nemmy , freddy and clown . Add dimishing returns to exaustion recovery and this way you could even buff ghost notes to 25 or 30% exaustion recovery . Also it would allow for future perks similar to vigil to exist in the future if diminishing returns are in place. As is this perks just does too much with no pre requirement .
should just be reverted back to 30%

My criticism is that the game is poorly designed. If I have to use a perk just to deal with a BASE mechanic—something that can literally happen in every single match—then it's bad design. That's the entire point.
there are a lot of bad designs especially regarding balance but you can be the change you want to see and bring an anti slugging perk

I wanted to propose a solution to slugging in Dead by Daylight.
Players who get slugged practically don't get to play the match (assuming they aren't running a specific perk for it). They are left with only two options: slowly crawl around the map or wait for their bleed-out timer to hit zero. This takes 4 minutes—minutes that the player cannot skip, and during which they aren't actually playing. This makes slugging nothing but a frustrating mechanic for the players who have to deal with it.
I wanted to propose a mechanic that might sound a bit wild, although I am sure it is quite fair due to its situational nature.
My proposal is that when survivors reach halfway through their bleed-out progress (not their recovery progress), they have the OPTION to stand up in a new health state: 'Devastated'. In this state, their bleed-out bar will continue to drop at the same speed as before.
'Devastated' will allow them to move only while crouching, making them unable to use exhaustion perks, self-healing perks (such as Self-Care), or items. Additionally, their grunts of pain will be increased by, for example, 50%.
Survivors can still perform actions like repairing generators, opening exit gates, and cleansing totems. However, the main goal is to give them a chance to find an ally to heal them.
What happens if the Killer chases a 'Devastated' survivor?
Survivors in the 'Devastated' state will vault windows and drop pallets 35% slower. If the Killer hits a 'Devastated' survivor, they will put them back into the dying state. The survivor will then lose 20% of their total bleed-out bar (without dropping below 10% of their remaining total bleed-out time), and they won't be able to trigger the 'Devastated' state again.
Perks to accompany this new mechanic:
Perk 1: Recomposition
While in the dying state, your recovery speed is increased by 30%. When a teammate heals you from the ground, you recover 25% of your total bleed-out bar.Perk 2: Resilient Will (Te sugerí este nombre)
Allows you to enter the 'Devastated' state a second time per match. Additionally, Killer hits received while in the 'Devastated' state reduce your remaining bleed-out time by 75% less.Perk 3: Head Start (Te sugerí este nombre)
You can enter the 'Devastated' health state when your bleed-out progress reaches 75% (instead of 50%). Upon standing up, you emit no noise or grunts of pain for the first 4 seconds.I don't want people to think I'm trying to buff survivors. My goal is to make sure that as long as they are in the match, they actually get to PLAY.
I doubt anyone from DBD will actually read this, but thank you so much for your time <3<3
so what's stopping you from bringing an anti slugging perk
-

This only really affected haste stacking long term which is fine. People did tests and full healing builds were nerfed at most 15%. And even then you could just run botany + auto didact and that's 2 separate healing sources so diminishing returns wont affect that. As for gen speeds…. We really don't need more gen progression to be in the game.
funny thing is hyperfocus stakeout isn't affected fir gen progression it didn't affect it much if at all but gen regression was affected on top of the 8 kick limit still being a thing
