If by more elaborate you mean saying what I would do and trying to help, then yes.

You could break any skill issue down into "git gud". The getting good part is the thing I'm after, which does not feel incentivized due to poor matchmaking; which is again, something I've harped on forever.

Not really most of the replies are along the lines of "you are just not a good player", "good killers are not bothered by it" and completely disregard the other persons view in the matter.

An example of this also happens in each SM threat that you comment on, even tho I agree with you and I am a profound SM hater, you cannot be bothered to read or even discuss the arguments of SM mains and just disregard everything they say without adressing their points (even if they are wrong which most of the time they are)

So to that end I say the same to you, I as someone who has tried to learn multiple killers have never had an issue with matchmaking while learning and anyone who has it just needs to improve their skills and accept that while learning you will struggle, its a common thing in the process of learning and better players get unphased by it so you have no excuse.

I don't really want to lose a hundred games in a row to learn Billy.

I haven't gone back to learn any of the old Killers I didn't play because of MMR and the lack of a decent learning environment.

It really sucks because Billy seems fun but I literally can't learn ######### in 5 minute matches.

Just seems like BHVR's matchmaker encourages you to never diversify your character roster.

You learn by trial and error, you will get stomped while learning, its normal, get over it and start doing so. Also, dont you reply to almost every killer complain with a more elaborate way of just "get good"?( At least in ftp+bu discussions)Take your own advise and get better at billy.

  • Ohtofu legit plays against people who would surprise me if they had more than 100 h in the game, they are clueless. As for skermz I do not know them, so I cannot give an opinion.

  • @tjt85 said:

He feels worse to play against than a Blight, Spirit or a Nurse, because at least they still have to hit you twice. I'm kinda missing those guys right now. I actually think he might be on a par with the other top tier killers now, or at least not far off.

I've honestly had some of the worst Survivor experiences of my DBD career against new Billy. Everyone slugged out or dead at 5 gens with only a few thousand BP to show for it (and of course, every Billy's equipped strong gen perks like Grim Embrace, DMS, Pain Res and Pop). It's misery.

But on the other hand, old Billy was so awful that I barely ever played as him (Neither did anybody else. Billys were pretty rare). The part of me that enjoys the Killer side of the game is really happy that he's so much fun now. So from that perspective, I'm hesitant to call for any nerfs at this point.

I think Survivor morale in general is pretty low at the moment. We've had Killer buff after Killer buff. Even this new "Survivor" chapter is all about the Killer buffs. When are BHVR going to add something for Survivors that will have a meaningful impact to the game? Sure, we've got DC bots now, but unhappy players die on hook instead of DCing because the penalty's still very harsh (and they seem to get dumber with every update). There's the AFC system, which is a great addition but I've only had it trigger in 2 of my games so far. And finally, we have the 3 gen solution which again, feels like a good change but it's too early to judge as I've yet to see it come into play.

Sadako, stbfl and 3 genning have been nerfed this update.

  • See? People who spouted that billy was fun were just doing it because old billy was easy af to dunk on. The moment billy actually does something he becomes unfun.

Even then considering almost no one has faced billy before this rework you have to take into account people do not know how to counter him (as easy as that is), do its normal for the spike in his killrate to happen.

However just wait for next patch for his nerf, it just feels good to be right after all this time, people considered billy gun because he was easy to destroy not because he was "interactive", and this update was gifted me evidence for that.

  • I mean even og sadako which was one of the easiest killers to beat had a high killrate, the fact that people are so bad they can make such a killer look good is honestly hilarious.

Also how on earth do you get codemned against new sadako? Tapes have no downside whatsoever, you should always have a tape in your hand to get rid of condemn if needed. Only way I see a survivor getting condemned is if they either did it on purpose or they have not faced more than 4 sadakos in their playtime.

  • Thats the perfect state for billy by survivor standars.

  • @KateMain86 said:

I've had a few hillbilly matches today and I can't tell you how unbelievably broken this killer feels now. The only thing they are all doing is endless chainsaw spams. I also had one injure me after breaking a pallet. Since when has that been a thing? I just don't understand the thought process that goes into these changes.

That injure after breaking a pallet has been in the game since the first billy rework that introduced overheat, when he was destroyed and became fun to play against .

Its so funny seeing people literally not ever read a single addon/power, altho tbf billy has been such a bad killer for such a long time and had no reason to play as him I dont blame people for not knowing what his addons do.

  • Tbf the only actual hard skillchecks in the game are merciless storm+ madness and hyperfocus ones after like 6 hits so this is no concern to me at least.

  • "I have seen a nurse fail all of their blinks so nurse is easy to beat" thats how this post sounds. The fact that you have played against people that are so bad they get hit by pigs ambush does not make ambush useful as any good survivor will not get hit by that unless they are in a deadzone.

    @Seraphor said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3636564#Comment_3636564

And greater than 50/50 is fair for the survivor? There's a reason why Dredge and Artist are considered boring. It's because if you stay at the loop you're guaranteed to get hit. 50/50's are how this game works, how every non-antiloop killer plays a mindgame at a non-pallet loop. Pig gets a similar mechanic she can play at pallets too.

Every failed 50/50 with pig might be extra seconds, but it's the same extra seconds it would take anyway if you didn't use your power, circling that loop over and over, eating the pallet, and moving on. The 50/50 is a bonus 50% chance to cut the chase short.

You're talking about 'trash' killers but there isn't a single killer with a poor kill rate...

Aldo each failed ambush should not result in some extra seconds if thr survivor is a good looper, it should result in at minimum 40 seconds before the next hit, however and this is related to your point about trash killers not existing, there will always be bad survivors. So even if you are playing trapless trapper there are some survivors that are so bad they will go down in main buildings against a no power m1, so taking into account the average player is awfull at the game no killer should ever get a low killrate.

However this does not mean that those killers are good as good players, for example comp survivors show how easy it is to take away their agency due to their powers being lackluster.

  • Extremely common sadako L

All I can do I suggest changes. When the worst case scenario happens, I'm not to blame.

I never blamed you, I was just showing how what you said at that time was incorrect, tapes have no risk even in ptb, the nerf just made it more apparent.

If someones down, dont kick them.

I love how you told me tapes had some risk to them in the ptb, only for the devs to literally made a change that shows how utterly easy it is to use tapes without any drawback.

  • Nah, if xeno doesnt have emergency helmet and you cannot burn him thats just bad turret placement. I would advise watching some comp matches or just people who play comp survivor play against xeno to learn turret placement as they counter xeno strongly however they are useless if you are clueless.

It would have been way more fun to go against, especially because we don't get stealth killers that often.

Its subjective, for example I hate stealth killers as they are easily countered by having eyes and in some cases ears and they are just a lazy addition to the game, I mean the undetectable status effect as a power is incredibly lazy just slap a status effect and boom power.

In my opinion and I will give it to you the only interesting stealth design in this game was old freddy.

And in terms of stealth killers we have rn I think the only one who is not boring to face is chucky (it is boring if they are a scamperbrain chucky), as he is the only stealth killer that makes chase interesting with slice and dice and is not a boting m1 killer.

og DS was pretty bad 1v4 but was extremely oppressive 1v1 to the point where it sometimes made up for his poor 1v4.

Here are my two cents about DS.

Most players who say "Just dodge the bullet" don't get how FAST of a reaction a survivor must have to dodge a bullet because dodging a bullet means a survivor knew exactly at that very millisecond that the DS was going to pull the trigger which requires so much luck since he's zoning a survivor by simply existing.

Dodge? But he doesn't shoot? Easy M1. Don't Dodge? Easy shot.

Sure he was still vulnerable to being gen-rushed due to a lack of mobility or map control, but his chase potential offered very little counterplay unless you were in an indoor map and could hug the hell out of the corners.

Edit: I'd also like to point out how in some scenarios, the survivor would have to rely on the killer missing which means that some of his counterplay at the time was reliant on the killer's mistakes not necessarily the survivor outplaying the killer.

Im gonna say something that idk if many people knew, but you can a 100% dodge slingers shots and be effective with distance.

As a diehard slinger player like 99% of the survivors I face are awfull and let me get snipes or dodge without me aiming at them.

When there is literally and audio cue when slinger aim directly at you, and yes it plays before he is able to shoot, meaning you only have to dodge when you hear the cue. On top of that the cue is perfectly hearable with the chase music playing.

The fact that do little people say this and keep parroting that slinger is a lose-lose situation when you dodge is literally impressive.

On topic of the the discussion, yes old slinger was better but current slinger is ok, is he a weak killer? Yes, if survivors are good, and since most players still die to meme killers slinger is more than good against them.

  • I like it its free points and a guaranteed 4 man escape, and relaxing games are kinda fun so I enjoy it.

  • Against soloq or people who are bad at dbd, she is still a noob stomper. Against good loopers and people who understand tapes have no risk anymore, she is the same as old sadako, basically a joke.

However the % of dbd players that are actually decent doesnt go over the 10% of players so you should be fine if you play her.

The strength of the perk isnt about regression, its about you dont spend 20sec to walk across the map to kick an abandoned with progressing Gen, then going back to find a chase.

Its about a survivor spend 14sec to cleanse.

Its about a survivor would prefer to get rid it first and spend a bunch of time to find.

The result isnt consistence, that's why people dont like it. PGTW requires you to spend time to walk and kick a Gen, all that time could end another chase. Or survivors could healing next to Deadlock Gen. But they cant do anything by actively running around and cleansing.

The buff on Ruin is already enough, its the totem spawn that should be buffed. Fixed locations (like shack, under Swamp rocks...) should go.

I have literally ignored ruin and even healed next to a ruined gen and the amount of progress that I lost on the gen felt less than if hit by surge, ifk man ruin is just a meme perk you can 100% just not clease it and if you are not facing blight/nurse , then you are ok.

  • @Pulsar said:

    Incentives do not work.

Make the unhooked Survivor intangible until another Survivor is downed or until they perform a conspicuous action.

Get unhooked-> use the intangible status to disarm the entire killers setup as it is not a conspicuous action-> watch them be able to do nothing-> profit.

That change will literally kill hag, skullmerchant, sadako, demogorgon (not that much, shred is the real power), singularity, trapper, freddy to an extend( altho he is already dead), and xeno also to an extend.

I have one more important question.

Will passive condemned be making a return?

It wasn't quite clear in the dev notes.

Prob already too late but it doesnt build condemned, so as I said tapes represent no risk whatsoever, you should be taking them as much as posible as they have no downside and you turn her tps off, win-win.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

Cool character but perks are garbage.

Especially boon. It's worst boon perk ever.

I mean the flashlight perk is amazing for buying distance as each pallet break guarantees a lot of distance made and you can use the movement speed during the blind to counteract the distance you would lose normally on the blind.

I see it as a very good perk that has consistent value unless the killer has franklins.

  • Yes, in fact I have played more against old onryo than the new one, it was one of my favourite killers to verse because of the visual heartbeat letting me prerun and waste more of her time. I have versed really good ones, ones that got 4 codemn kills with the old condemn playstyle.

However I must also add that the games lasted around 20+ minutes which consisted of them taking down all resourses in the map until there were only windows and deadzones, because before that looping her was as easy as any m1.

Hence why all of them too had 4 or 3 slowdowns, not only was old onryo boring as any m1 killer, if they were good it was just an endurance match that ended in two ways, first outcome the pallets got destroyed before gens got done because people were bad at looping: sadako wins, people are decent at the game and gens get done before the map is a deadzone: the survivors win.

  • @TheArbiter said:

    • When a Survivor is hooked, their current Condemned progress becomes locked in, preventing it from being removed.

Am I reading this incorrectly or does this mean for example if you got 4 stacks when I hook you, you now permanently have a baseline of 4 stacks for the remainder of the match?

Yes I think thats how it works, however seeing as we have back the old tapes, it is only scary in paper as getting rid of condemned is a given if you have more than 50 h so we got old onryo with a shorter cooldown and a bit of reikos watch basekit.

  • @radiantHero23 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3623468#Comment_3623468

If you don't know / knew how to play her, that's on you.

She's /was by far not as bad as you put it right now. I played her for long enough time to be really good. With these sort cooldowns and her old kit, she will be a force to reckon with. Tapes are incredibly scary now. Due to her building it up faster now (if she's good) you WILL want to use them. If she finds out which TV you need, you need serious teamwork to stop her.

They even improved her chase by making reikos watch partially basekit.

The rework made her dull and watered down. This is what she needed.

I'm sorry, but on this, I stand my ground and defend it.

I fought hard enough for this.

I am glad that you got your desired killer back but I must say that I agree with the previous poster, there is no risk anymore against onryo,I can count in one hand the times the demanifest flicker worked against me in chase, because ya know checkspots and safe corners exist so thats something. Also who on earth gets down by an onryo in less than 60 s ? is an m1 cmon at least a gen should be done per chase if not more if you are decent at looping.

And how are tales scary?, I take one go get rid of codemn even if she is chasing me as getting hit doesnt punish me, get the tape off in her face same as old onryo and lmao. Yes she can interrupt you putting the tape with a tp, I will give you that however a good team should have multiple people putting tapes and disabling tvs.

My honest opinion she will no longer be a pubstomper, still since the average player is awful at the game she will still hold a decent killrate, but against any team that is not actually horrible at the game, much like any m1 killer thats not singularity she will get clapped.

  • @C3Tooth said:

First step is to make Blindness not affect basekit aura (slugged and hooked teammates). That is the most annoying part of the perk.

Play a killer that requires some brain pelase

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3620290#Comment_3620290

    Fun build on fun killer

Which killers require a brain because legit have heard from survivor players:

Trapper: doesnt require thinking just put traps on loops and you get downs.

Wraith: doest require skill just get free hits

Hillbilly:does require a brain as long as you only m2 and throw the game on each chase.

Nurse: doesnt require a brain is an insta-win

Doctor: just use shock at a loop, doesnt require skill

Hag: just put a trap at a loop doesnt require thinking

Pig: just tunnel someone with a trap and instant win.

Freddy: he just spams snares in loops and teleport to gens with slowdown, not skill.

Myers: just pop tier 3 and you win the chase, no skill required.

Leatherface: basically better myers always has instadow avaliable, not skillfull at all.

Clown: throw one bottle at a side of the loop and you instantly win chase, no skill required.

Huntress: fridge sized hitboxes, any hit is because of the hitbox and snipes are mere luck, no skill required.

Spirit: just use phase walk and find the survivor, no skill required only headphones.

Legion: free slowdown and can injure everyone at once, no skill required to play.

Plague:nullifies healing and the proyectile is easy af to hit, no need for skill.

Ghostface: a bs killer that can get an instadown when he wants, just press m2 for free down, no skill required.

Demo: requires skill and is fun to play as long as they do not play optimally because that is cringe.

Oni: requires skill but if you are too good and know how to flick then it is cheating and easy af to play.

Deathslinger: bs killer can nullify any loop by hitting easy af shots with a broken hitbos, no skill necesary.

Pyramid head: just tunnel no skill needed.

Pinhead: the passive plays for the killer, you dont have to do anything.

Twins: you just slug and camp, no skill used.

Blight: insta-win pick. No skill necesary

Nemesis: zombies olay for you and the tentacle is undogeable, easy to play.

Sadako: just spam tp, why need skill?

Trickster: just spams knifes and win free downs.

Artist: place crow at loop-> win

    Wesker: incredibly easy to play

Dredge: nightfall is OP and he has too much going for him, unbalanced no skill killer.

Knight: place guard at loop, thats it thats all knight gameplay ( I actually agree with this)

Cringe merchant: place drone at loop, that it bro ( I agree with this too)

Singularity: fun as long as the singularity does not pressure via slugging and lets himself get clapped by emps.

Xeno: easy mobility and free hits, no skill used.

Chucky: wesker 2.0, easy and no skill used whatsoever.

So aside from people playing billy and making sure they get a 4 man escape what killer does need a brain to use? I do not think you think like this but this are genuine comments I have read in-game, on the forums and in social media by survivors regarding killer skill.

  • You can see videos openly on youtube of people easily hitting them, first that comes to mind are people like zubatlel or scottjund hitting them against doctor. However is old gameplay so probably have to scroll for it.

However on the topic is completelty doable, it is kind of hard I will admit its prob the only hard skillcheck in the game atm so expecting the average player who can't hit merciless (which is easy tbf) to do it alongside doctors madness is just not a thing, however is hard to suggest a change as its the only way merciless storm is semi decent, its the same as old ruin problem.

On the good side it only procs once per gen and it doesnt do much, paired with doctor who is not a good killer per say you still have a high chance of completing that gen.

  • @indieeden7 said:

Xenomorph is probably one of the most frustrating killers to play against ever in regards to power alone, if it's going have a ranged attack with practically no warning, and a method to remove crawler mode temporarily that MAYBE works 25% of the time, having a way to tell if they're coming towards you is practically a requirement.

While I agree the warning is not only tematic but also useful so it should be kept, you should look at some comp xeno matches buddy, idk why people say turrets dont work (maybe if xeno is using emergency helmet?), good survivor players can shut down the power in like 70% of scenarios with good turret positioning and pathing.

While larger samplings vis-a-vis population do not guarantee a change in outlier, they are still more likely to prevent data skew (outlier impact). That appears to be Smoe’s point—and he is right on that. 1,000 out of 700,000 is not indicative of any sort of larger trend.

Why is it not indicative, if its randomly sampled and the estimate is close to the real populations one even a sample of 700 or so is enough.

I will make a final example that is actually used in real life, in order to check food safety, specially microbiologically wise you need out of a shipment to evaluate a certain number of samples, acording to the FDA and other microbiological analisis wanna guess out of shipments of food products that are in the hundred of thousands of units how many do you have to check to ensure the product is safe in the cases of seafood, which is specially delicate and has to be checked with more samples, you need to check 5 units out of each shipment.

Because contrary to what you may believe optimizing sampling is important in order to make studys practical, you keep saying that you need more data, that while true doesnt mean that the current data we have is not enough or not representative of the population, it might be skewed dont get me wrong but you have given 0 arguments on why it is not representative.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3613313#Comment_3613313

I mean whether there is an excuse or not, doesn't make what you originally said true. You said that nobody fails skill checks unless it's on purpose, and that's just not true. So, either you think nobody ever fails skill checks, or you think that the average player is horrid at the game. Both can't be true.

Absolutelly true, and for the record you got it right, the average dbd player is incredibly bad at the game, evidence of it is meme killers like old sadako and pig having such a high killrate when any decent survivor should loop them until dbd 2 is released.

They’re not actually wrong. Technically larger samples are preferable because such mitigate the impact of outliers. What groundbreaking research has used a sample size of n=20 & extrapolated its results to a population of millions? It sounds like it would be super unscientific and unethical.

Directly to point 1 yes larger samples mitigate the impact of outliers but it will not always do so, as adding more points to a distribution does not guarantee those points are gonna make the median representative as more data can add more outliers or data that randomly skews the distribution, hence why for example in population genomics we use an n= 20 because addin more data essentially just adds irrelevant data that does not contribute to the estimate in a significant way but makes the computational analisis way more unoractical.

Now to point two, mostly if not all animal physiological neurology principles were determined by using even one single animal as contrary to what you mught believe is more ethical than opening the brains of the whole population of animals, studies with n=7 can be read regarding insect phisiology and if Im not wrong electric fish neurology was fone with like 14 fish, now extrapolating this data has been usefull even to date as the samples were correctly handled.

Furthermore if you want an example in humans, when Pasteur developed his rabies vaccine it was used in a single person to test if it worked, and afterwards went on to save thousands of lives of children bitten by rabid animals, literally an n=1 that saved countless lives by extrapolating the result.

However I myself am against extrapolating data in the medical field, but given we are discussing dbd, a sample of 1000 if its of random players is more than enough to give a reasonable estimate.

  • @Smoe said:

So you say, but without comparing it to a larger number, we won't know that for certain.

As someone who analizes scientific data, this is not true at all, thats why sample sizes exist. In fact you can see groundbteaking research done with data sizes of n=20 because a good random sampling will ensure you have a sample representative of the population. Adding more data points can just add variation that in fact may be different to the populations variation, literally from a point of statistics study you are wrong. If that were thr case no drug ever could be approved as you have not sample all of the worlds population to observe all adverse effects, which is a sampling effort that is imposible, thats why we use test statistics with radom data samples.

I’m sorry but they were literally terrified of an M1 killer I can’t take that match serious and assuming this was even the case, I never said she couldn’t hold a 3 gen just that plague has always done it better, easier, more effectively, and most importantly neither her or skull merchant were ever problems!

You can’t seriously still be blinded by your weird hate boner for SM to say she’s still better at 3 genning

I can't take actual comp players using the most effective strategies possible because..idk but will talk about effectiveness without showing evidence.

Idk man but evidence has shown how problematic the cringe merchant is, some people literally played her because she was able to hold the game until people gave up.

If plague had this issue maybe she could have had the same effect on the game, which she did not have at all, however this can be explained by the lack of the gen kick meta when plague was released, however plague was not used unlike SM during this meta.

I am really sorry but your crusade since release to defend the absolute failure that has been the skull merchant, lore, balance and fun wise has even been proven by the devs actions as a sunken cause.

  • I personally love facing: wesker, blight, dredge, singularity, huntress, slinger, xeno and honourable mention to billy because he is a free escape and easy af to beat on chase, and dunking

There is far too much of them. It is no wonder people were overjoyed when they learned Sadako didn't have a chase power.

Anti-loop killers are okay, but an overabundance of them creates the problem of pre-dropping everything and holding W becoming something you see every match. And it is boring to the extreme.

    Chases without mindgames aren't fun.

The problem is and will always be that dbd players lack any capability to change their mind, at least the average player/old players, for example it is widely known, at least on some parts of the comp scene that you can loop artist by baiting the crows, she is still bs thanks to deadmans but you can loop her, however everyone and their mother will spout that you have to hold W as soon as she places a crow, why? Because its easier to say that holding w is the solution rather than admiting you are not good enough to loop her.

Dont get me wrong, some killers are absolute BS at loops, knight before the AI baiting bug was unavoidable, skull merchants beams are horrible, nurse errases the concept of looping.

But a lot of people repeat and repeat the same " the only counterplay is to hold W", and will ignore multiple things like dredges remant baiting, camera switch on hag, crouch teching nemesis, like man sometimes I really think people are bad on purpose when they ignore so much things they can do, then again most of the content creators for this game have this same actitude so whats to expect from the community.

You could also say the same about Killers playing perfectly

They NEVER get out mindgamed, they never lose Survivors. They never allow the 3-gen to break. Etc etc

Difference is survivors can realistically not get mindgamed with the use of checkspots, while killers aside from chucky cannot do this. Mindgames are only good if survivors have them awful NA checkspots. Chucky is the exception as he creates actual 50/50s where both sides get the same info, which is strong af because he is essentially the only killer that can trully mindgame even if survivors are good, that in of itself is a power, now add slice and dice, he is a beast.

    I don't know because, well, I don't have him.

But playing against him isn't that fun due to remnant being used mid-chase. If he had only the teleport to lockers and nightfall, he would be awesome to go against, because his concept is really good.

If he had that dredge would be useless in maps like haddonfield and shelter woods, which would be fun for survivors because who doesnt love a killer without a power but awfull for the killer player.

  • @jajay119 said:

People saying dredge needs buffs need to play against him. He is one of the most obnoxious killers in the game.

He can teleport to any locker with seemingly no cool down

He can break locks off lockers negsting any survivor counter play

He can use the remnant to negate pallets and loops.

Nightfall is one of the most infuriating mechanics in the game because unless you have WoO equipped you spend most of your time running into stuff - especially in chase.

He can see your aura during nightfall when you're already massively handicapped.

He negates all locker based perks and if he's got BBQ equipped you know he's teleporting straight to you and you can't even negate it unless you have Distortion.

Honestly he's one of the killes in the game I would say has too much going for him.

Hes mid at best if survivors are decent, locking one locker at a time makes him "negating counterplay" obsolete because he does not get the chance to break the lock, good loopers bait remnant tps to keep looping as they know he loses bloodlust, double backing and memorizing where loops are/geometry of tiles is just a given with good survivors so most players if they have played in that map before have no issue with nightfall (aside from probably the ones who get nausea from it), contrary to what you believe dredge does NOT get aura reading in nightfall, its a killer isntinct only near your tped locker.

Additionally he has a cooldown of 12 seconds for each power use and is the loudest character in the game, making pinpointing him at a loop and avoiding him sneaking on you incredibly easy.

Saying dredge has too much going for him shows a lack understanding of what essentially is a glorified m1 killer that a decent survivor should be able to dunk on easily.

  • I list all the killers that I like and that I dislike and give a made up inconsistent criteria to argue why I like them or not. At leat be consistent man saying knight has to chase while spouting that the most heavy chase killers like blight and wesker dont chase is ignorant at best and dishonest at worst.

The fix is: make a better game

find out why survivors don't wanna play, and fix it

I sniped someone as slinger at the start of the match and they gave up on hook, should remove slingers capability to snipe, I tagged someone early as singularity and down them because they dropped a pallet on me while overclocked, they gave up on hook, should remove singularitys overclock, I teleported to someone early and downed them as dredge, they gave up on hook, should limit dredges teleport across map, downed someone early as ghostface early, they gave up on hook, ghostface expose should be removed. And so on with the 34 killers until we make a better game.

Just because you think they have "no excuse" doesn't mean it isn't happening. But hey, okay. I get a lot of survivors throwing their skill checks then on my traps. Must be why I get such easy 4Ks with Video Tape. So when will my MMR be high enough that people stop throwing their skill checks?

The fact that most people are really bad at the game will guarantee even a meme killer like pig can 4k, because the average player is horrid at this game (old sadako had a high killrate, a killer with essentially no power had a high killrate, legit how?), also regarding what you said, even after the mmr softcap, it is still a mix of like 90% potatoes and maybe the unusual team that actually know what they are doing. So even as easy as skillchecks are some people will somehow mess then, I still think its inexcusable to fail such an easy skillcheck as pig boxes but specially in dbd people will search for any excuse to avoid admiting they are awfull at the game.

That's just not true. I I doubt the players I go against are purposely failing their skill checks. But hey, I guess it's possible.

Its the only way they are failing such an easy skillcheck, like maybe an overcharge skillcheck might be excusable but a pig box skillcheck has NO excuse being missed (if pig doesnt interrumpt you).

  • Wanna know something hilarious? BHVR themselves have actually innavertedly admited what is a win, how? Well chucky and tiffany have some voice lines refering to them winning. They will only play however once they get a 3k or a 4k, they will not play in other scenarios, showing bhvr clearly knows what a win for killer is.

    For me at least:

    Under 3k: lost

    3k or 4k: win

    I escaped: win

    I got sacrificed: lost

They literally made a Onryo into a killing machine. Legion is stronger and skull merchant is arguably even worse to go against.

only case is Billy but he’s still strong and Freddy cause he sucks

Billy is only good if you opponents are blind, deaf and as bright as a goldfish. A good survivor should NEVER get curved, maybe backrev in a deadzone since its unavoidable but getting curved is 100% on the survivor.

I love how so many think that every single player over X hours is suddenly totally CRACKED

They are NOT cracked, its just that in order to fail a pig skillcheck you have to actually try and fail it. Only new people or people that are interrupted by pig fail those.

I run huntress lullaby on a few of my builds and yeah... plenty of ppl miss skillchecks. It's especially funny doing it on Pig with the addons that cause missed skillchecks to injure ppl.

This is untrue simply by the fact huntress lullaby does not affect pig box skill checks. And because no one with over 50 hours will ever fail a pig box skillcheck unless pig interrupts them.

kinda making killer more accessible (which is genuinely impossible without ruining his power because all good things about it are possible because of its high skill demand) is not only impossible but will also result into this killer getting severely nerfed because the easier it is to realize his full potential, the more gamebreaking this killer could get.

singularity is borderline S tier killer in this current state and the only things holding him back from that are the fact that he has viable and fair counterplay and that he has a few really bad maps. he has literally everything in his kit and he does it really it well.

whatever "accessibility" changes you'll do to singularity that'll either cut his potential or will consecutively get him nerfed because getting value of out him would be way too easy.

but that's besides the point, because the real point is that you cannot possibly rework this killer without killing his entire identity and changing his kit from scratch if you want him to make as simple as other killers, because nothing about singularity is difficult for the sake of difficulty. everything that is difficult about him is so difficult because his ability enables him to do so many room for skill expression that getting into that is very difficult. and doing so would be pointless and a waste of money/resources.

If they sell more DLCs its not a waste of resources, from a financial standpoint he is a dead product, any sales resulting from QoL will be a win-win for more sales. Regardless of what you think the higher ups at bhvr will always have the lest word, and if it means more money, no company would be stupid enough to say no.
