  • i like bully squads more, usually i can beat them if they really just focus on me or saving their teammates. Getting head on-ed in loops is really annoying but at least they don't do gens.

The worst tho is a combination of both. Getting bullied and annoyed by 2-3 survivors who can loop really well, have every annoying perk in the game and try everything to make your experience miserable while 1-2 just do the gens, that's the most frustrating experience.

  • Yesterday i had only sweaty squads (rank 1-4) for the 5 killer games i did. But today i got even one game with 3 greens and 1 yellow (i'm rank 3 currently) and the rest was chill purple ranks, maybe 2 red ranks in all games. Kinda feels like the MMR is tested again?

There are jump scares, and the anxiety/excitement of hiding from, or being chased by, killers. However, it's not been truely scary.

I think it says something when the biggest scare is not expecting head-on or a pallet drop. Killers shouldn't be the ones getting scared more :D

Yeah those 2 things are the most jumpscare-like things for me in the game, survivors stealthing at pallets and then dropping while i was just chillin' around is so annoying, as is an unexpected head on. But like i said, it's not that kind of spooky-scary, more the annoying "not again!" kind of scary. The game was spooky-scary in the beginning when i didn't know the maps and stuff, i explored everything carefully and got scared as soon as i heard the terror radius... good times!

Ghostface, Tier 1 Myers and Silent Bell-Wraith can still be scary, but since i use Spine Chill all the time they don't really jumpscare me so much anymore.

As a fellow Xbox player, all I can say is that if you want to learn a new killer, either wait to de-rank or make a free smurf to practice.

    I have 3 accounts!

how can you make a free smurf? I don't want to buy the game and then the DLCs again because i need some perks. That's what holding me back.

  • Toxicity and frustration is unfortunately a part of the game, there is no better solution than turning off every chat function (don't know about Xbox messages, but you can turn off chat ingame on PC and in Steam) and getting used to tbagging and clicky clicky. At some time you will not bother about it anymore. It's mostly just people who want to take the aggro for their mates. See it as a test, don't let it discourage you and focus on your matchplan. Of course you can facecamp that guy or girl but personally, i wouldn't throw the match because i feel offended, or only in very extreme cases. Try to be above such things, your game experience will be much better if you just don't care anymore about the bullshit that is going on in this game and just do your thing :) i know it's easier to say than to do but it will get easier with time.

Matchmaking is a ######### and since they turned off the MMR it's as before. I don't know anything about Huntress, but i can give you the advice to watch some streamers and see how they are doing things, it helped me a lot. Watch otzdarvas videos about the add ons and perks, he also has a video for killers who have problems in red ranks. Basically, playing killer against good survivors is managing your time, your hooks, while you're chasing that Meg you have to think about what Feng and Ace are doing, how far that gen already is, kinda like that. Don't chase someone too long, change targets. Only some small tipps coming to mind right now.

  • straight male here

females: Feng is super beautiful with the right cosmetics and sounds very cute, Jane has the hottest voice and a hot look aswell. Nancy and Cheryl are also very cute. Meg defo has the best little bootie in her yoga pants. Kate is not so much my type, i don't know why.

males: i would say that Felix and Adam are the best looking males. Maybe Steve after them. Dwight has this "you can't be mad at this cute nerd"- look.

If a Survivor is very aware that you're chasing them and has their route planned ahead of time, even getting the first hit can be a pain. Survivors really thrive when they're in control of the chase and where the loops are happening. In contrast, when Survivors don't run early and haven't planned their routes, often times you can get free hits or even downs.

Most of the time, if a chase seems really Survivor favored. You need to leave them and find someone else because you'll lose tons of time on them. And lots of the time the next person you run into won't be nearly as prepared as the person you had an extended chase with. They also don't know which pallets and stuff have been used. So yeah switching targets is sometimes lowkey OP

Too many killers don't play by this advice. Leaving a chase feels unnatural at first and like "losing", but i won games because i switched just in time after chasing someone for 2 generators. Now i have a much better feeling if i should chase that guy or leave him after the pallet drop. It's all about time management in the end.

It won't help you against a good 4 man but nothing really does. But the normal survivor is often not very aware - if he/she sees that someone got injured, they feel safe because you're in a chase.

  • Never played him really but i still lose often to him, but that's mostly due to Myers players in higher ranks using either the endless T3 add on, the insta kill add on or the T1 jumpscare myers build with indoor map offering...

After playing this game for a long time. I think it's time to take my second break. I'm burnt out again. The game is just so stale for survivors currently. I play the game look at the main menu and get off. I get into a game and im instantly bored.

I get bad map rng or it's some killer that I dont enjoy facing. I never see billy anymore. I have seen alot of Pyramid Heads recently and it just is not fun. Still getting hit through windows. I'm glad the devs are working on it but it's taking so long to finally fix bad hits. The meta is stale because there isnt many good survivor perks.

The game is also just so buggy. The devs are so amatuer they can't even consistently have bug fixes nor did they fix the spaghetti code before it got bad.

I ended up deleting dbd ill be back at some point. I might look at the forums from time to time but maybe not.

Getting hit after vaulting is one of the biggest frustrations i have when playing survivor. Why do i get a hit when i'm with 2 feet on the ground and 2 metres away from the window? My friend is already getting tired of me raging about it in teamspeek after i got hit again. I guess it's hard to balance because vaults can easily become OP if survivors are non-hittable after entering the animation. But the way it is now just feels very unrewarding and like the killer get's a free hit when i decide to vault something. Don't know if it's just the servers or an programming issue.

Well meta may not have changed for a while but i find that you can play survivor without meta perks pretty good as long as you get a killer who wants to play the game "normally". I'm often running fun builds for chests or stuff like that and still escape. Playing as (and winning as) survivor for me is all about having good and reliable teammates, without that even meta perks won't help you. I can fully understand why everyone is playing SWF because solo can be such a frustrating experience. Btw killer meta is much more stale imho, you can basically decide between Pop Build and Ruin Build and that's it, at least at highest levels.

Anyway, even if we hadn't agreed over the Spirit issue, i hope you're coming back and find your love for dbd again.

  • this would only work if both have the same speed, otherwise survivors would barely get away from the killer due to losing their camera advantage at loops.

  • another thing to mention here: since survivors cleanse far more totems, i've seen far less NOEDs getting activated. A good side effect of this meta.

  • The problem is that most games in higher ranks with equal skill levels are very close in a sense that there is a "point of no return" were either the killer or the survivors snowball.

Ruin+Undying gives the killer, if played decently (not chasing someone for 3 minutes, but pressure gens here and there) a big time advantage if he is not very unlucky with the spawns. That time advantage is usually enough for a good killer to seal the deal. Even with Detective's Hunch, which i am running all the time now, it takes so much time to cleanse all the totems (more than often i had to cleanse 4 or 5) around the map, not taking into account that i may get chased in between. Without this perk (or Small Game), some maps are extremely hard to play. Generators have to get finished as well, otherwise you won't see the auras with D'sH and you won't progress the match. Generally, how longer the game goes, the bigger the chance the killer will win, because even if he plays not clever, hooks will happen and pallets get destroyed. The "rush"-meta is often under fire but if you don't do things as fast as possible, you won't win against a good killer who's also trained in doing things as fast as possible.

I personally don't run this combo as killer (ok sometimes just for fun) because i always had bad luck and i need reliable perks for the endgame. But i played against it often the last days. If you're not having the right perks with you and the killer is on a good skill level and mobile, it can be extremely frustrating because nothing get's done. But if you manage to cleanse the totems, the killer has usually no late game pressure anymore.

  • i switched out Kindred for Detective's Hunch, my new to-go perk. No more Ruin, no more NOED!

Everyone who says something is easy and takes no skill should record a 4k streak perkless to show the devs. I'm pretty sure if they see that any player can get a 4k streak so easily they'll change that immediately.

yeah i'm pretty sure that's just BS, if she would be easy 4k everytime under any circumstances, more people in red ranks would play her. Of course if you are really good with her, you will win more games than you lose. But let any mediocre killer play her and you will see, she's pretty mindgame-able.

Stridor counters iron will it makes you sound normally

not true, you are half as loud as normally. Stridor generally is not just "ez gg", it ######### up your depth perception as someone already said, you cannot pinpoint survivors anymore

  • The meta or default build for her would probably be: Pop / BBQ / Sloppy / Stridor, if you like the totem lottery then you can switch Pop out for Ruin, it makes sense on her since she has some mobility and can pressure survivors off gens very good.

If you want to keep your Ruin little longer (survivors will soon adapt to the new totem meta and use Detective's Hunch or Small Game), you can use Undying instead of Sloppy (if you need the tracking of BBQ and can do without another slowdown perk) or instead of BBQ (if you're good enough in finding survivors without BBQ and need the additional slowdown). Personally i prefer Pop because i like it when perks work constantly and reliable without RNG or conditions (hooking survivors is default gameplay). But if you have some good totem spots, the Ruin+Undying combo is braindead OP and a nightmare for survivors, if you constantly chase them around and switch targets quickly.

Stridor is a complicated topic, on the one side i'm already used to it on her, i don't use it to pinpoint their exact location but more for general tracking. Just try and see if it works for you, the perk is also a bit bugged sometimes (no sounds at all after survivors did specific actions). Without it, you can be totally sure that you're phasing right above them, if you hear them. But without it you're also ######### if they use Iron Will. A good survivor with Iron Will and some mindgame abilities can cost you a game if you waste your time on him. I need to try her out again without Stridor for a while and see how i perform.

If you don't like Stridor, you can use Nurse's, it pairs greatly with Sloppy and since she has a low TR, she can make good use out of it. Or use any 1-shot perk (Make Your Choice, Dragons Grip) if you want to win by downing faster, or information perk (Discordance, Whispers, Surveillance) if you have problems finding survivors. I personally don't like Corrupt Intervention (for me it often led to bad late game situations with far away gens) or Thrilling Tremors (BBQ is not optimal but TT has a stupid cooldown and can also be played around). But other people swear by it, so try those perks out if you want.

Generally, tracking and knowing survivors movements is the most important part. Don't rely on scratchmarks, they can easily be juked. Only use them for the general direction, then try to identify the survivor's options (vaults, pallets, backtracking, walking, lockers) on the fly and make your assumption. Try to read their movements, this comes automatically with experience. Some survivors are very good with this, some just run mindlessly to the pallet and camp.

oh so i guess when i face red ranks and can win without needing to camp or tunnel they just hacked their way to being rank 1 did they?

you dont need to camp or tunnel. feel free to, but its not a necessity. you can get 12 hook games at red ranks; it's very dificult but it's very possible.

if you need to tunnel to stay in red ranks you shouldn't be in red ranks.

Just to make it clear, i'm not talking about camping and then hard tunneling, i'm talking about focussing on survivors who are on death hook or are the weak link. What killers do you play? Watch some streamers, they also say "we need a kill right now" and then focus on the survivor with the most hooks, if they already made 3 or 4 gens. There is nothing wrong about it. And i know that it's possible against mediocre or bad survivors to get 12 hooks, not every red rank is good or a god looper. And if i'm rank 1 i probably made something right because you don't get there by just hard tunneling and camping survivors all game.

Thank you guys! How about this build? It'll help me stay more stealthy. I'm still not sure about Bond vs. Kindred but I don't have medkits with me because the bloodweb has been selfish so maybe I should take bond? IDK:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/J4WA65XPICCI/image.png

Looks good. Personally i would switch Quick & Quiet for Detective's Hunch, if you want to run Inner Strength.

    • It helps you find totems, that you need for healing. Furthermore, the killer-meta is moving to totem-builds (Undying + Ruin!) right now. it will help you gettting rid of these killer perks. NOED is basically not a problem anymore with this perk. Try to do every totem and if you can't, try to remember the spot if you need to.
    • it also helps finding gens (to prevent 3-gen situations in the endgame) and chests (if you need a key or anything)

I tried out Spine Chill, Sprintburst, Inner Strength and Detectives Hunch today for some games and it looks like a solid build. You should also be able to run Iron Will and Kindred instead of SC and SB, just a matter of taste i guess.

  • i also rank-resetted twice to rank 9 and i found it much more difficult to get back to red ranks, than to stay in red ranks. Green and purple rank killers tend to hard-tunnel und camp much more than red rank killers who know they have to be everywhere anytime. I play more "aggressively" (i don't hide as soon as i hear TR or Spine Chill goes off, i'm ok with getting chased since i want to get better in it), which means i'm often the first one to get down (and then tunneled and camped sometimes).

I managed to get back to red ranks easily with a 2-man swf. Solo Q is horrible imho, it's a lottery, you heavily depend on the skill of your teammates and of course, the skill of the killer. They need to rework it, we need more communication-abilities. The current DC-epidemic doesn't make it better (guilty of this as well sometimes).

But as i said, teammates in red ranks are usually better, they can loop longer, they prioritze gens and not hiding. Even if you're not good at looping, you will not always be the one who gets chased and i escape more often in red ranks then in violet ranks.

How to pip: Try do everything a little bit and try to stay alive. I had problems with pipping because i don't prefer to go for unhooks - but doing this is essential if you want a pip. The ground rule is: 2 gens, 2 unhooks, 2 chases (winning them at best). Stuff like pallet stuns and totems also help i think.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/RMIGUPMQQD17/image.png

I think I struggle a lot with recovering after I get hooked. I often get tunneled or continue to get chased and I can't get back on gens and then I die. Yesterday I was rank 8 but I bombed a little bit.

ok, do you take med-kits with you? It's the best item for survs, i usually have one. If you don't have one, take a good healing perk (Inner Strength! please don't use Self Care, it's bullshit) or an aura perk (Bond, Kindred) so you easily find someone who can heal you.

Don't heal right under the hook! If the killer is not in a chase, he will come back to the hook. Go to some hiding spot. Also: Be patient! Don't just rush to the nearest gen after you get unhooked. That's usually the one the killer patrols first if he comes back to the hook. Go to a gen more far away from the hook. Decide if you should heal first or your team needs to finish some gens. This also heavily depends on the killer (if he has 1-shot abilities, healing doesnt matter so much, especially if you're running Iron Will, which you already do, great!).

Try to play more stealthy, try to foresee the killer's next move. For example at the beginning of the game, it's better to leave the gen next to you and sneak your way to some gen on the other side of the map where the killer spawned. Or to an important gen in the middle of the map, but those usually get heavily defended.

Here's my build for example, i did good with that in red ranks:

Spine Chill: so much value against any killer but especially stealthy killers. If you're not good in chases, it will help you to stay away from the killer. If it stays for more than 2,3 seconds, quickly find out the direction from which the killer is approaching and hide somewhere or run far away

Sprint Burst: gives you a head start in chases and often makes the killer miss his hit if he is not expecting it. I think Dead Hard is better but i'm used to SB.

Iron Will: Helps you loosing the killer in a chase, helps you if you can't heal, because sound is a very important detection ressource for killers

Kindred: Helps you do coordinated unhooks, shows you what your mates are doing, shows you the direction the killer is going after the hooking, even you're not going for the unhook it shows you were your help is maybe needed (doing a gen or healing mates). You can also use Bond but i think Kindred is better because of the killer aura reading (exposes facecampers)

You can also use Decisive Strike, i don't do anymore because too often it's not getting used but when it does, it gives you and your team much more time. You can replace Kindred with it, if you want to play more selfish.

The Game, Lery's, Glenvale and Hawkins have secluded totem spots, in any case for this achievement is easier to play Myers with DH and a Mori, you dont need the 5 stack DH to get it, just to perform the actions it requires.

oof if i only realized that earlier lol. Haunted Grounds or MYC + Mori would work then, too. Or Ghosty instead of Myers. Good to know. Myers + Mori probably the easiest one.

  • i finally did it on Hawkins, but anyways it's good to know which map has the best totem spots :)

  • Doctor: the constant screaming and detecting is just so annoying, skill checks are annoying and now i even have to focus on those, i was running calm spirit for a while just in case i play against doctor. I still escape often against him but he is just so unnerving. Luckily he is not getting played so much anymore.

Deathslinger: his small TR makes him very sneaky, i don't like the scummy laughing, some FPS-game players are very good with him (and some use crosshair overlays)

Trapper: i hate being overly cautious when playing survivor, i just wanna chill

  • i don't think that's enough for seeing those perks getting used increasingly. There would be nothing wrong with going a bit overboard with those perks, because they are still kinda niche and only usefully work in specific situations, unlike stuff like Sloppy, Enduring or Nurses. We will still see the same 8-10 killer perks every game if they buff those niche perks this "carefully".

  • 3 chapters:

    JUNGLE CHAPTER

    • maybe an aztec/ mayan/ incan themed killer, who has to drink different potions that are lying around the map on shrines (like Plagues) to buff/de-buff things (faster walking for 60 seconds, 50% repair speed malus, exposed status effect for 60 seconds).
    • survivor could be some latin/ south american guy or girl, there aren't any in the game except for Jane.
    • 2 new maps, one that is kinda like shelter woods but in a jungle, then another one with an aztec temple in the middle (like chichen itza)

    RESIDENT EVIL CHAPTER

    • well any Tyrant from the game could be the killer, preferably one of the first 3 like Nemesis or Birkin
    • survivor could be Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield or Leon Kennedy
    • map could be the Mansion from the first RE, the Racoon City Police Station from the second/ third RE, or some kind of Umbrella Laboratory

    UFO / ALIEN CONSPIRACY CHAPTER

    • well, the killer would be an alien but not in the "Alien" franchise way from Ridley Scott (no Slasher) but more in the typical, spooky grey-ish alien way from The X-Files.
    • survivor could be some government or FBI/ CIA agent or some conspiracy theorist lol
    • map would be Area 51, a secret facility with an UFO hangar and a laboratory with Alien corpses from Roswell
  • i usually defend Spirit in those eternal discussions about her being OP/balanced, but the mediocre and bad Spirits tunnel a lot. I mean, she is kinda designed to favour this playstyle, primarily able to detect injured survivors while phasing. Well, #noteveryspirit, but a lot especially in violet/green ranks tend to just proxy camp and phase back to hook right after unhook.

Luckily i don't come across Hags (and also Spirits) a lot, but yes those 2 tend to play the most "scummy" imo. But i've come across a lot of hard tunnelers and a lot of "i don't wanna tunnel even if it costs me the game" killers, using any kind of character. A Demo can play super "unfair" and a Bubba can play super "fair", although i don't think those terms fit in the game, as you have to get a sacrifice as killer at some point in the game, if you want to win. Which sometimes mean you have to tunnel the just unhooked survivor if he is the only one on death hook.

I was running Ruin+Undying on different killers for like 30 matches but i think about switching back to Pop + X (Sloppy on some, BBQ on others). It can be very powerful but i think it's overrated. On some maps with difficult totem spots like Lery's it's braindead if you have a high mobility killer, but in most matches both get cleansed eventually.

Sometimes too late, if i already got some hooks and the snowball was rolling, then it didn't made a difference in the end. But more than often they found Undying early in the game, one time they even cleansed Ruin four times till only Undying was alive, and this was in like 3 minutes. Can't remember the last game Ruin was up till the end.

Of course it gives you some time even if they just search for totems and cleanse, but a cleansed Ruin leaves you open in the endgame. Pop has saved me so many games where i got a good 3-gen-situation at the end with all 4 survivors still alive, but i killed them all because i downed and popped fast enough. Now those games are save loses. Some take Pop for backup but 3 perks for gen defense is too much for me.

short update: just had a game on ######### LERY'S where Undying got cleansed after 30 seconds (a survivor spawned on top of it) and after my first hook, Ruin got cleansed.

Nice attempt Dev's, nice attempt! But those bullshit Hex perks will never be a solid meta. Please give us something reliable to work with, something like survivors have! Something that can't just be switched off.

Would be nicer and more distinct audibly if when she stepped you heard broken glass crunching. Different outfits could have different effects.

keep in my mind that the killer has to hear this all game long, broken glass crunching with every footstep sounds kinda annoying. I usually turn up the volume when playing killer for hearing survivors moans and movement sounds better. And i can't play Demo for more than 2 matches for this reason, his loud foot stomping is sooo annoying over time...

  • TTV-people are usually wannabe-streamers with 5 viewers (4 are bots), rarely you meet someone who has an community of viewers. Most of them stream like 3 times and then never again, but they keep the name because they hope one day their big streaming career may start after all. In my experience, their playstyle doen't differ from the rest

  • i disagree that you absolutely need 2nd chance perks, i was running Kindred, Spine Chill, SB and Iron Will in red ranks and did fine. The problem is the lower ranks 7-15, killers there tend to have no self-confidence or skill and just tunnel off hook or facecamp/ proxycamp, because they know they will either way lose the match against good survivors. I was reseted to rank 9 once and solo queue was horrible, in combination with the worse teammates it was nearly unplayable

Chase and stealth perks for survivors are much more fun to me, but they're too weak if you play "competitively" (winning every game instead of just having fun). For example the ideas of Fixated or Dance with me are great, but too often those perks have stupid cooldowns or conditions. Iron Will is great but it wouldn't be meta if it has a cooldown or condition like "works only after you have been 60 seconds in the killer radius". Those conditions make these perks gimmicky, DS, Unbreakable, SG or Adrenaline are also situational but when they come into effect they are extremely powerful and sometimes game changing. If you want survivors to use other perks, make them more powerful, reduce or delete cooldowns and conditions. Iron Will is a good example, it's not game breaking but a solid perk that will have it's use nearly every game.

the only thing wraith has that blight lacks is the ability to use the speed boost from uncloaking at medium and small loops to land hits. However blights ability to easily stay on you, pressure gens with his high mobility, and can even hit you in between loops makes him objectively better.

don't forget about the missing terror radius, it's the main strength of his "invisibility" and the thing that makes you sneak up on people.

  • @gatsby said:

Wraith isn't really a stealth Killer. You can see him coming and he has a warning notification. His power is actually just mobility its not really stealth unless you're standing still and camping for the full invisibility or using the iridescent add-on. Otherwise the Survivors will always have a head start on you... which doesn't really scream stealth to me.

he is a stealth killer, but you are supposed to hide behind objects and not walk in the open, the same as with Ghosty or Myers. Imagine him being completely invisible till you uncloack behind someone on a gen, that would be pretty OP, they would have to make his uncloack a little bit longer then. It would make more sense tho if they would make him completely invisible from a distance (eg 24m or 32m), like Freddy.

Wraith and Blight are not really comparable, they both have mobility (considering that you use Windstorm, which everyone does basically), but Blight's mobility is not as easy to execute. You constantly have to find objects to bounce off, sometimes you don't and then you get a fatigue. The reward for the right execution is a much faster speed than Wraith, but everyone can hear you. With Wraith, you are more flexible and stealthy, but not as fast and deadly while using your power. You are supposed to not walk out into the open, but approach from different angles and uncloack behind objects, like a stealth killer would. The mobility is just necessary because his basekit isn't deadly enough to make him viable, he doesn't have insta downs like Ghosty or Myers. Blight's power is much more a power to end chases quickly, much more deadly, plus you can use it for high mobility, but it's a bit harder to master i think. Nonetheless there is a reason Wraith is considered low tier and Blight not so much.

  • As some already mentioned, an average of 2k/2e in 10 matches can be for example 5 games 4k, 5 games 0k or 10 games with 2k. In Dbd, usually the first comes into effect, you either stomp or get stomped. So, no, the gens get not completed every game.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/191437/is-undying-ruin-better-than-pop-sloppy

My initial impression is that Undying/Ruin is far better. Pop gets you 25% regression on a single gen. Ruin causes it to regress at double the usual rate without you having to kick it. With Undying to bolster it, I've found that Ruin stays up all game about 90% of the time.

Both perks require you to create pressure and push survivors off of gens, but Ruin can take a gen from 99% to 0 in less than 3 minutes without you even having to touch it. That's 4 Pops, which is a massive value. That said, I literally just had a match where the survivors cleansed all 3 dull totems and then Ruin, leaving me with nothing but Undying. That has to be a crazy fluke though, right?

I've only been using Undying/Ruin on Blight so far, because I'm trying to triple prestige him. I'm sure that combo will be more valuable for killers with high mobility, but Pop is the same way.

Sloppy Butcher is one of my favorite slowdown perks too, but I don't see how it has synergy with Pop.

Thanks for the input. No it doesn't have synergy but it's the only helpful slowdown perk i could find, which is useable together with Pop, since most gen slowdown perks don't synergize. But i will try Undying+Ruin as soon as i have it :)

Best combos to be running gen wise are Thrilling/BBQ Pop and Dragons Grip or Surveillance/Tinkerer/BBQ Ruin and Undying

You could run Sloppy and Thana but too much counters them nowadays so they don’t work that well

Dragons Grip sounds great in theory but i never got it to work. It triggered only once in every match where i tried it, and then i couldnt find the survivor because they go blendette of course, until they're not exposed anymore :(

  • I think his Lethal Rush is a bit like Demo's Shred or Ghostface's Stalk in terms of usability, maybe a bit more consistent. Some killer players want to use those everytime they see a survivor, but they're only meant for specific situations, so don't force it. It's still a good tool for map traversal and after some time, players will know when to use it effectively.

  • i always imagined the mansion from the first Resident Evil (of course a little bit smaller) would be a great map. Or the police station from the second RE.

    Hi :)

I started playing a week ago after my brother asked me for years. I absolutely love the game so much fun however I get super anxious and nervous for letting my teammates down. I think its a girl thing.

I usually RPGs and Wildhunt + DLCs are my absolute favourites <3

Just know that there are new players out there that could get super sad if "yelled" at.

    Oki take care!!

That's not a girl thing, there is no such thing as girl things, or at least not many things. I was like that in the beginning as well as many dudes i know, you get used to it, trust me :)

  • Said that 100 times before, but you're not supposed to hard counter a killers ability. Imagine 4 survivors could do that, that would mean 0 kills 0 hooks every game for this killer. Survivors always have this "i should only get killed when i clearly ######### up"-attitude but what about the killer just playing very good? Survivors are 4 and their strength is their teamwork, it's ok to have situations where the killer will get the down 99% (like PH on vaults or pallets). You are not supposed to run the killer for 5 gens even if you're better, that's why bloodlust exists, you're supposed to waste his time. You even said that Spirit was very good? Wouldn't say he mindgamed her well, its nearly always better to walk away from the loop than just being 2m away from the point where your scratchmarks end (because of double backing).

Also he is clearly biased, look how he recorded all that slugging and mori stuff in the end, even if it doesn't add anything to the main topic, just to show what an ######### this Spirit is. He clearly has an agenda.

  • it's hard to pip as solo queue survivor, especially at purple/green ranks. Got stuck there after rank reset. You either destroy the killer and get no points or you get facecamped/tunneled and get no points. Games were much easier at red ranks because of better team mates and better killers.

I complan about killer matches but am rank 1 again because with some killers it's super easy to pip, even if you only get 1k.

I'm not entirely certain, but aren't Glenvale and Midwich already 'upgraded' maps that are live? And yamaoka and badham are just upgraded to that standard?

no i played yamaoke and badham and both are worlds apart from the normal 4.1.2 in terms of performance and graphics, in both matches my game crashed and i just did go back to the normal 4.1.2 after that. There are also completely reworked objects like gens and pallets.

Maybe it's the PTB, i don't know, my framerate in the main menu was also worse than in normal 4.1.2., can be just some settings issue from the PTB

  • i just tried it... i usually had around 30-45 fps on lowest settings, depending on the map, which was not cool but ok for me. Now, on new badham preschool, i had 15 fps and the game just crashed after 40 seconds... i will not afford a new PC in the next couple months, so it seems like my dbd career is over after the update :(

  • I got de-ranked back to rank 9 after the reset because i felt to rank 5 the day before. Let me tell you, solo q at green rank is super frustrating, people DC left and right or suicide, Killer tunnel straight from the first hook, i had to equip DS again even tho i hate it. Right now i find it hard to pip. In red ranks it's easier to pip because even tho the killers are better skillwise, it makes a huge difference if your teammates are competent, do gens and don't go down after 5 seconds.

  • Killer:

    • more than 2 flashlights with Wraith
    • if it's clear that it's an 4 man swf (from the outfits or usernames), especially if all are from the same country which means voice comm
    • i used to dodge if there were multiple players with more than ~2000h, but don't anymore. Especially since i destroyed a russian streamer with over 6000h and his friend with over 3000h, i realized that huge playtime doesn't mean inevitably that you're crazy good, some just learn slower than others lol

    Survivor: nothing really.

Also map offerings, lots and lots of map offerings even non-haddonfield/ormond ones.

yes, the full console-squads i've had so far had offerings for coldwind etc nearly everytime

First of all: Yes, i know there are multiple threads like these out there.

Truth is: The search function has been dead for quite a while, and i'm not going to dig through each page individually to find the last thread that's like this.

    So, let's get this started...

    HI THERE!

Ya' like making your favorite character look as good as possible?!

    Of course you do!

But what's the point in doing that when they can't tell you during the match that you have an awesome sense of fashion?

So here's an alternative: Just post a screenshot of your favorite character with your favorite cosmetics right here.

Maybe even wait with snapping a picture until they do their special pose, like Dwight biting his fingernails, or Spirit pulling out her weapon.

(Cut out the rest of the screen and/or zoom in on them to maximize the attention towards the outfit and not the rest of the screen. 😉)

    Here, i'll start...

    Ain't he gorgeous?!

I like the chains and they fit quite well with the Silent Hill theme still going on.

The blue cloak is nothing but a personal preference, love me some blue.

The bottom is the best thing to match with the blue cloak besides the piece that comes along in that outfit.

And that blade is just MMM! So big!

I am genuinely curious to see what outfits y'all made! 😊

i have the exact same wraith outfit, even the same weapon :((((( that body part actually fits to many of his heads, unlike many of his other body parts.

i mix it up with that greenish jungle like outfit and that new from the rift with the flames. With Spirit i also mix up a lot, she has multiple fitting options. With survivors, i kinda have one main outfit for the ones i leveled up, except feng who has 2.

    ace.png claudette.png david.png feng.png feng2.png meg.png spirit 1.png spirit 5.png spirit6.png wraith1.png wraith2.png wraith3.png

graphics are on ultra of course, i play with much lower resolution and quality, otherwise my fps would be like 10 or so lol

  • The cast is much more diverse than in other games or movies. In this regard, they made a good job so far. Not that i'm against more, but it's not the biggest problem right now.

btw, POC means everyone who is not white, so saying "POC and black and asian" is basically wrong, because POC is the collective term. (Some blacks don't like this term because it overlooks their specific, historic experience with racism). But asians are POC and not an extra group.

  • yes it happend to me 2 times on azarov maps, then another survivor got trapped after i DC'd because she was curious

  • my killer games were good, survivor was kinda random. I had the feeling that i got relatively appropriate survivors when playing different killers, more sweaty ones with spirit and more chill ones with demogorgon. I didnt try out completely new killers, cannot comment on that.

After they turned it off, the games were the typical shitfest that i had before (not more than 1 on a gen, many OoO, good items), which drives me to play the better killers only right now.

There is an add-on combo for spirit that is broken. Otzdarva made a video on youtube about it, it's pretty overpowered, I think it's the mother daughter bracelet and the yamuyauke amulet put together. (I can't spell the name of the second add-on)

yes ring+amulet is a powerful combination which gives you insane map pressure cause you can phase from one point of the map to the other without interruption on most maps. But you can't see scratchmarks anymore with Mother-Daughter Ring, which makes it hard to use for beginners, especially if survivors are not injured and you cant hear them. But with some experience you still can get them in some cases, just not as precise maybe.

But i don't think it's more gamebreaking than let's say iri head Huntress or Tombstone Myers.
