Exactly. The potential to win makes everything viable.

But what is the value of saying something is viable, if you use this definition? I can win with any killer without perks and add ons against bad survivors just because i have some experience in this game. Compared to other killers, Trickster is a lot weaker, and that's the point.

  • @IOIOO said:

Honestly literally every game you will be facing survivors with thousands of hours and as a wraith main I can say wraith is unplayable without top addons. I just wanted a fun game but always giving me the best survivors, its so annoying. This is why people play trickster to derank, they want to go back to mid rank and face normal people.

I do pretty good with him in red ranks, 50% 3-4 kills, i think that's a fair value. And even with less kills i often not de-pip.

Remember to not really chase with him. Use his stealth and uncloak boost to get the first hit, but leave if they can comfortably loop you. Try to get 1-2 pallets out of the way and then change targets again... someone else will go into this deadzone soon. Try to find outpositioned survivors.

If you can't, well those are the games that i lose. If survivors constantly find something to loop you and keep you busy, there is not really anything you can do (given they don't fall for your mindgames, which is another thing you really have to learn as Wraith).

He can use many perks as a M1 killer which is fun. A build that i grew to like is the Make your choice-build:

MYC works really well with him if you combine it with Nurse's Calling or the purple All Seeing add on. Add BBQ to it to have a target once you hooked someone to keep the momentum. With Nurse's or the add on, you will find the exposed unhooker and the injured one very often healing somewhere. Complete it with PGTW or Ruin. Remember to not force the down e.g. do not chase the exposed survivor for a whole minute while the others do gens. If you can't find him or get him it's alright, most survivors play very defensively while being exposed.

  • i started playing her after i got stuck in green ranks with Wraith (when i had like 100-200h or so). Not because i wanted to play the best possible killer but i just liked the character and people told me Wraith is bad and she is good lol.

I learned a lot about survivor movements by playing her for a while. I'm not playing her so much anymore because playing her against bad survivors just feels a bit unrewarding and boring and survivors always get toxic (DCing, suiciding...)... and playing her against actually good teams on the other hand feels a bit tedious as constantly second guessing yourself isn't much fun (guess i'm just not very good with her but i play this game in a relatively low resolution and struggle to see moving grass and stuff - scratchmarks are also not super reliable if survivors know how to fake them).

It sometimes gets to a point where i feel it's a coin throw - for me, not the survivors! - and where i basically mindgame myself. Besides that, i never do the "stand still" mindgame and go immediately into my power when i have it.

  • I never really tried to dig into him but what i don't get is the unnecessary mechanic of the laceration meter reduction over time.

In higher ranks, you have to play tactically, you have to choose and switch targets and you have to put pressure around the map or at least some parts of it. You can't do that if you have to chase a survivor for 3-4 pallets because otherwise you lose all your hard earned progress.

I'm pretty sure he would feel much more rewarding if they would delete this mechanic.

  • He becomes more and more oppressive and shows that he is one of the best killers in the game currently as people learn him, but i wouldn't say there are unfair mechanics that needed to be nerfed (i haven't seen those infamous flicks yet). That is to say, i don't like going against him as he usually plays Ruin Undying and most seem to be very sweaty.

Tbh for me it's the same as with Spirit, both don't have that simple counterplay that survivors wish for and both sometimes get those easy downs were you can't really do anything - but most players do mistakes, they don't use those killers to their fullest potential and are mindgameable. Try to anticipate his rebounds, try to get into his head, look out for his options.

  • You basically have to play with a swf & voice comm if you care about your own mental health - at least in red ranks against all the sweaty rank 1-3 killers with meta perks and purple add ons. I realized that after playing 10 hours of survivor in the last 3 days, playing alone and together with 1-3 people. The difference is huge.

And no, i'm not a survivor main. I play mostly killer and yes, i get trashed by teams or by RNG sometimes. But to me it seems, as long as i play sweaty (not "fair") and with good perks and add ons (and not on Haddonfield etc.,), i will win against your usual red rank solo team. I'm not saying "killer OP!" because it definitely isn't like that, but solo needs a small buff - or you nerf swf's and balance the game around solo's.

Don't get me wrong, the buffs for killers and the nerfs for some survivor sided elements (perks like OoO, DS and some map reworks) were justified. But it once again revealed the huge discrepancy between solo and swf. I know one guy who put hundreds of hours into killer gameplay, so that he can keep up in red ranks, and now he says that his usual matches have become so easy he rather plays survivor, where his win rate is much lower.

The uncloak dash with the enhanced lunge is a relatively new part of his kit. A year ago Wraith didn’t really have pallet play at all and his power was mainly for getting hits on Survivors that didn’t know he was coming.

So I don’t think you can really say that the uncloak dash is Wraith’s entire kit. Especially since they gave him base kit map mobility and true invisibility.

The lunge was already there and most Wraith mains have already used it the same way, it's just way stronger now and works on more loops. True invisibilty is really such a minor thing that i wouldn't count it as power (it's like saying Spirits low TR is part of her power). I mean it has it's moments on open maps but most of the time they wouldn't have seen you with shimmer (old Wraith) as well, since most Wraith's try to ambush from behind objects and stuff. You could argue that his mobility was already there aswell because really everybody was using Windstorm, they just have another add on space now if they want.

Maybe saying it's his entire kit was a bit harsh but the movement speed is necessary to make the lunge work as he is so loopable and unscary once you know where he is (compared to most of the cast), that you need this speed to play him unpredictable and annoying, since you often need several attempts to even get a hit against a good team.

  • it's imo the strongest survivor perk but it's a bit like playing Nurse or something like that, it's an "expert" perk, you need to practice it for some time to make it work reliably. Timing is huge factor and also your movement. DH into some corner or wall instead of to/behind the pallet or to the window (in a way that you can fast vault) is a thing for many survivors. Furthermore, people need to stop assuming that it does something in a deadzone - it gives you 3 seconds there and everyone knows that

  • i see him very rarely but whenever i do it's usually an experienced one and they do good. I'm not an expert on Billy but before the nerf he always felt oppressive, i don't know if it was the add ons that most people used but i was never a big fan of him (i don't hated him but that combination of crazy map pressure and 1-hit chase power was a bit too strong imho).

  • Hex: Ruin, because i'm really good at ruining my life. Then other people come and try to save me but they can't find the Ruin totem so it stays up all life :(((((

Maybe also Iron Will, Tinkerer and Monitor&Abuse because my roommates often say that I am very quiet when i walk, I kinda sneak through the apartment and suddenly appear behind the door or around the corner and they get startled.

  • Autoban systems only work when it's well thought out. Like in Counter-Strike for example, you have a "Trustfactor" in the background, which goes down when you're mindlessly reporting people all the time.

If it's a simple system (x amount of reports -> ban for y hours) it will be HIGHLY abuseable.

As others already said, in this case players playing "toxic" (camping and tunneling all the time) will get banned even though they made nothing wrong in terms of game rules. I got so many aftergame chats where people where threaten to report me for tunneling, slugging, camping, whatever... last week someone allegedly reported me because i bodyblocked a pallet with cloaked Wraith - yes, i'm not kidding. Even the other survivors chimed in and told that person to shut up because it's how you play this killer.

  • I leave one of every event item behind on every character. Just for the memories when i look at it in the inventory. Other than that, i don't care.

Btw i still have so many of those useless survivor speed boosts from the Blight chapter :(

    *record scratch*

    *freeze frame*

Yup, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.

YES i remember that Nancy bug and playing her all the time when this was. That "i don't care guys" resting ######### face was so funny.

  • The Twins chapter was the one were i left the game for a some weeks, as i thought it's slowly dying now. Not really because of the new killer, but there were so many bugs at this time (from the months before to the weeks after the release). Luckily it has become better now.

  • Yes the filter as it is right now is not far from removing chat altogether. It randomly censores weird things that don't make sense, it's just not fun to use chat anymore. However, a good side effect is that i don't try to get into (possibly toxic) conversations with other players anymore.

  • it's a big part of his gameplay, otherwise he would be much more easy to loop around than he already is

  • Got hyped as many new killer perks (by some streamers etc.) before it came out, only to get abandoned by everyone after 3 tries because it's actually very niche and not overly strong. Same as with Starstruck, Oppression, Dragon's Grip.... the only killer perk from the last 4 chapters i still see despite being nerfed is Undying.

  • @EvilJoshy said:

Id like to think it goes back and forth. However seeing as how there are 4 survivors for every 1 killer. Id say it's more survivor sided. From a business stand point, why would you upset 4/5s of your customers?

I don't think it works like that, because a lot of people are playing both. I don't know any killer main who is not playing survivor (but i know some surv mains who never play killer).

My opinion on the big question, there is no definitive answer. It heavily depends on all the variables and RNG. 4 good survivors will mostly win against a good killer if they don't have really bad RNG. But a mediocre killer will also often win against 4 mediocre solo players, even by just camping and tunneling. A big part of the playerbase is playing survivor very casually without much knowledge or sweat. A merciless killer will have a good chance of winning against them. But killers need to learn and play a lot more to get to a high skill level that 4 survivors in a team can achieve much easier. So i would say, on highest level definitely survivor sided.

There are so many things about this video...

This was a challenge by Otz who could run him the longest right?

And the conditions where "No Perks" and "No Powers" for both sides. So this is pretty much a model of how a M1 Chase would go without anything added to it. It is not a general statment about how Survivors are better or Killers are worse, because that was just not the question here.

If anything, then this video shows that just chasing someone as a basic M1 Killer is a huge wast of time and you should sometimes just drop the chase and catch another survivor or wait until you can use your power. A basic M1 chase is a huge wast of time if both sides are equaly skilled.

Also this video shows you that without anything added the survivor is the one playing the mindgame. Otz can mostly just react to the way a tile is run, maybe change the direction (LT-Wall) but never make a huge play. Zubat is dictating the pace of the chase. This is a bit interesting as most people think that the Killer dictates most chases when in fact it is the survivor.

However this is just a model, an simplified version of reality with as few elements as possible to make a basic observation. This is in no way represantative for a normal chase. And if it is representative for your chases, maybe you should change something and not play into a weakness.

Maybe i should have worded it differently but i'm aware that this is no normal chase scenario. I'm at rank 1 currently, playing Wraith most of the time, so i know i have to break chases a lot to have a chance. But i thought about the casual killer with <300 hours while watching this. You read a lot about running tiles as killer and mindgaming, but if a survivor is playing it safe and doesn't spare ressources, you can easily run a killer for 5 gens. That's all i wanted to say. Of course this is happening VERY rarely and teams with 4 zubat's are extremely rare, or else no one would play killer anymore.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/250355/otz-vs-zubat-1on1-just-shows

Here's what you don't understand, you have a survivor versus killer scenario where:

    • The killer isn't using their power
    • The survivor is free to use every pallet since they don't have to conserve some for their teammates
    • Tile RNG plays a factor during chases
    • You don't have to worry about interrupting your teammates doing generators, healing, and etc

If I was playing for chase time, of course I would waste every single pallet, but as a survivor player, I have to think about my teammates. The game is different when you're playing it as a 1 versus 1 scenario.

    i understand this.

    • that's right but the survivor also isn't using any gamechanging perk like dead hard for example. There are too many killers with different powers to make a universal statement.
    • i rarely see survivors doing this. And if they're in a team and think the killer is a tunnel baby, they will just do exactly this, throw down everything while the rest is slamming gens
    • true, i think he had good one. also as i said, the map is maybe a bad example as it is one of the worst for killers
    • again, rarely see survivors care about this. If they're in a team they just warn their mates.

In other news, Cowshed is a disgustingly unbalanced map and always has been.

This is why it’s so important for new killer players to learn not to overcommit to one survivor. There are 4 survivors and the key is to get them when they’re out of position or push them towards an area that’s already been cleared. You don’t just chase one person around the map breaking every pallet they drop safely and expect to win. 1v1s aren’t how the game is played.

You're right and no good killer plays like that. But finding someone outpositioned can also be hard in some matches. I still think that 3-4 minutes is a bit harsh for one tunneled down. Playing it safe is just very powerful and can completely deny your pressure.

  • From a killer POV, i think stealth builds (Iron Will, Fixated, Dance with me, Deception, Lucky Break...) can be pretty viable if you excercise the playstyle a little bit. I also like healing builds when i play survivor but i found that there were too many games where i couldn't make good use out of it.

For killer, i tried out basement builds (Agitation, Iron Grasp, maybe even Monstrous Shrine) for those challenges and got pretty good results with it, even in red ranks. You can even combine it with Insidious if you feel nasty - not exactly a playstyle i would call fun, but it's a meme and it surprisingly works against most solo teams.

  • i started running it as survivor after realizing how strong it is while playing killer. it's not something that works immediately, you have to adapt and try to anticipate to get the most out of it. I wasn't using exhaustion perks before besides SB sometimes. I'm not a good looper and still have to learn how to squeeze the most out of it, but if you manage to use it to get yourself into a good position, it's very powerful.

  • @Seraphor said:

Unhook two survivors within the killers terror radius using Borrowed Time, in a single trial.

Seems like something that usually happens every single game but I've been trying for days and it's just not happening, unless I try to make completely unsafe unhooks, and yet it still never works out.

I can't believe I actually want a camping killer for once.

you have to rush the hook right after the survivor got hooked (and accept that you will likely get downed afterwards). It's a shame that there are missions where you basically have to throw the game by putting your teammates in danger or by don't participate in normal gameplay.

  • i still don't got the hard ones as survivor... like the dark sense one you mentioned, hide 1 min with dwight in killers terror radius, i couldn't get the premonition one to work (don' know why).

As killer, the only ones i find very hard to get are grabbing multiple people in 1 game. Grabbing is very inconsistent and i just can't do it on purpose.

  • Imo the most powerful perk for survivors right now, especially since it has taken DS's place and is now 3 or 4 times in a game. There is no counter against it if they use it to get to a pallet or window. It's so unrewarding if you mindgame someone but this survivor gets the pallet nonetheless.

There wasn't a problem when it was only like 1 time in a game and the others had SB/ Lithe (SB can be powerful as well if survivors 99 it) but in my last games at red ranks i've seen it so much, you waste so much time because of it. Sure it does nothing when you're in a deadzone but good survivors know how to abuse it.

People were afraid of new BT but there was not a single game that i've lost because of this perk since the buff. 12 seconds are not that much and you just have to expect it on anyone, then you're good. There are some situations where they run to a pallet or window after getting unhooked and you have to give them the hit, but those are rare and they have to waste time mending afterwards. Most of the survs still just run towards you and expect you to hit them, then they're baffled when you just wait out the timer.

  • during the last months/ updates it has become a little bit better, but it's still much worse than graphically comparable games.

Lately i had big problems on Badham with frames. It's like it's crashing in some areas and i only get 20 fps. Maybe some light source or so.

  • i don't like her, i think her traps should be a bit more visible. I don't want her to get changed, you don't see her very often but when you see a good hag it's often just gg especially when playing solo.

  • I got resetted to rank 9 as survivor 2 times lately because i don't play it as often as killer and only solo lately aswell. Not exactly low rank but because of matchmaking i've seen a lot of yellow rank survivors and killers. I also played with a friend for a while who never got past rank 15 (then stopped with the game).

My experience is, that survivors are much nicer, but i think part of it is that they're more scared and not as confident in their abilities as red ranks. They still fear the killer and the game is more of an adventure for them than some sweaty sport. I've also seen much less toxicity, obviously these people don't have this toxic relationship/ addiction with the game that a lot of >1k hours red ranks have and which causes a lot of frustration and toxicity.

Killers on the other hand camped a lot more, i think for the same reason, they're insecure and don't trust their abilities because of crushing experiences with red rank teams and rather stay near hook and wait for them to come. It also works consistently in these ranks.

There were some really frustrating moments because of missing game sense (letting me go into second stage without any need for it) but besides that i enjoy my green/purple rank games after reset so far.

  • I just had a game against two rank 1 & two rank 2 survivors with Wraith. It started very well, but i lost momentum after Ruin was gone. They kinda rushed the last 3 gens while they were effectively hook trading (in the end i hooked everyone 2 times). The ones on death hook hid very well and got protected by their mates. In the endgame i messed up a bit because i wanted too much, i wanted to reward myself for a good game (i dominated the chases, mindgamed, had pressure throughout the game).

MY ONLY MISTAKE was that i always ignored the one that just got hooked. Because it was Midwich, and i was Wraith. Because i thought this map was in my favour, only to realize for the 2nd time (had a lose on midwich yesterday) that this map is full of stupid pallets.

I thought it was better to play FAIR. Maaan, was i wrong. It feels really bad afterwards. Good survivors will take advantage of you, if you play like this. It's impossible to win like this against a good team, because as soon as i realized i need the kill NOW or i will even lose, they started to make this hook trade/ taking aggro- shenanigans. The thing is, it's not their fault, they did great, i just did a huge mistake by going for hooks/ chases instead of kills.

bottom line: "tunneling" is part of the game, there is nothing wrong with it, watch every good tournament killer and you will see you need to go after someone who just got unhooked sometimes. Of course there is a difference between mindlessly tunneling the first survivor you see in a match and going for a kill when you need it.

  • I personally had a hard time playing with her on rank 1 lately. i think a lot of good survivors have learned how to play against her over the time and all the people that are crying on the forums are just not able to adapt or don't want to. All the general tactics that work against other killers work against her too (delaying the first down to deny pressure etc). I clarified this a lot of times but here again: not everyone is super good with her, i'm often overwhelmed by the possibilites that survivors have and start to think too much and make wrong decisions. Especially if they manage to juke me one time then i get nervous.

I'm just an average red rank spirit, nothing special, i do mistakes, but what i want to say with that is: Your average Spirit is very beatable. The times were you encounter a Tournament-Spirit who reads every of your mindgames, outpositions you etc and uses every trace possible to pinpoint your exact location are very rare. I play against a Spirit every 20th game or so (EU) and she is not a killer that i have big problems with playing against.

  • There is nothing quite else like it. As a friend showed it to me first like 2 years ago, i was stunned because of the great, asymmetrical concept, the scary themes and atmosphere (remember the first hours of dbd where you were actually scared of doing anything? ), the licensed characters, the gameplay...

Over the time (but this is not dbd specific, you have that with every game) you recognize and learn the mechanics behind it and it get's a bit stale, but it's still much more diversified than a lot of other games on the market. You can play it in a lot of different ways.

I think the frustration it causes is also one of the main factors why people get addicted. You'll have some sense of achievement first but then there are those inevitable frustrating moments. The game is designed in a way, with all it's RNG and 4 vs 1-mechanics, that you will experience a lot of unfair situations where it's just not possible to win, or where other people will make the experience a nightmare for you. Then you want to get better and you start to learn about the game. You make progress but then you hit a wall again and the circle repeats... that was at least my experience for my first year of dbd.

I don't play it so much anymore, maybe 3-4 matches every second day, but i still follow the forums and the development of the game. Whenever there's something new i'm a bit hyped about the new killer, perks, maps and so on. But i realized you're better off (mentally), if you don't take this game too serious and don't dig too deep into it, especially if you're a competitive person - this game is too random and frustrating.

  • I agree with playing both sides will open up your views on Dbd. But whenever i say "i'm a killer main" i just mean that i play killer more. Solo queue just isn't as much fun as killer. But when i get the chance of playing with friends i also play survivor.

  • i don't know any red rank survivors personally who likes to play solo. Sure sometimes they have to but most of the time they try to arrange something with other players. Most of them gathered enough dbd players in their friendlist over the years. I don't even think it's about the comm's, but more the reliability, you know how they play and that they're good players.

  • Most of the ones i played against where small streamers and most of them were ok. Some even nice. I rarely hear toxic trash talk from them after the game and apart from a very few matches where the streamer played kinda "toxic", most of them play the game like every other players too.

  • @MrsGhostface said:

He’s a top 3 killer now. I got him to P3 in 2 days, pretty confident that I got all 3-4Ks. Every time I play against one I get slammed. He’s scary good

nah... stop that and think about it for a second. You don't really want to tell us he is on a level with Nurse? Oni? Spirit?

  • I think people are overrating his map traversal. Chase powers and 1-hit kills are superior imo. In high-level play you'll need a good 3-gen anyway and you will have to give up gens, so map control is not as important as getting fast downs and pressure survivors by hooking others. Running around everywhere and eating pallet after pallet will not get you anywhere, even as Wraith who can easily zoom around. Getting the first hit is cool but if survivors don't mess up you can have a very rough start without a down till 2-3 gens are done. Don't get me wrong, he is in a good spot right now, he is fun to play and not every killer has to be Spirit level. But winning with him against good survivors is still more of a sweatfest than with other killers. I also can't remember the last time i played against a good Wraith (that wasn't mindlessly chasing). I run Spine Chill though but most of the time i escape against him.

Also, comparing him to killers like Huntress or Oni doesn't make sense. It's a completely different playstyle and hard to say he is better/ worse. A lot of people hated Wraith because they played him like a chase killer, ran Enduring/Spirit Fury ("because you have to!") and then ate every pallet in the game. Of course they'll say he is the worst killer in the game. But he wasn't that completely bad even before the buffs, i did fine with him in highest ranks.

  • I play him at rank 1. He is not trash but he is not good either (if you don't use his best add-ons all the time). I lose matches with him that i wouldn't have lost with chase killers. Hit&run is only so strong, good survivors can play around it and destroy your pressure by playing it very safe. Especially if you don't get your first down fast and just injure everyone, the game can be over pretty quick, but depends on map/ RNG a bit (as always with this game). People already told here how to play him, but as i said, even if played correctly he is nothing against a good chase or 1-hit killer. You have to really work and constantly make decisions with him. Map pressure is not as strong as chase powers, look at all the 110% chase killers and how well they perform. The buffs of the last month were great and he is much more fun to play now but especially if you wanna play him with other add ons than the 5 best, you will have a hard time against a good team.

  • @tuffler555 said:

i feel like the perk promotes tunneling. sure it was annoying when you didnt know who the exposed person was but now youll only chase 1 guy and not give a damn about anyone else

This basically happens everytime someone is exposed and you know who it is. Doesn't matter if it's a Ghostface using his power, Dragon's Grip, Rancor or whatever. Killers want that ez kill. Before the patch, when i ran MYC and knew who was the unhooker, i tried my best to get him and only left when the survivor was in a very safe spot.

  • i run MYC on Wraith and had great success with it before the update, especially when combined with aura perks or add ons. Haven't tried the new one but after reading the patch notes i thought "omg this is gonna be powerful"

  • Maybe you all should watch his videos and listen to what he says instead of just read the headlines "ooh he said what, billy c-tier???".

He literally said a lot of things that people wrote here in this thread - Billys cooldown is no real issue, his add ons are absolutely laughable, he is hard to learn and to play against good survivors, he punishes your own mistakes very hard, but is still oppressive when played flawlessly due to instadown + mobility ...

Don't get hung up so much on the tier thing, i also wouldn't put him in C tier but as he said in another video, killers right now are much more balanced than 1-2 years ago and even the weaker ones can be played successfully in higher levels. There are some outliers like Trickster but that's it.

    @Axe said:

he also said Pig is D tier....

Imo she is, but that doesn't mean she is unplayably bad. The difference between the different tiers is pretty small right now. Other killers around her got buffed (Clown and Wraith) and most of her abilities are very mediocre at best. Her chasing tool is maybe the weakest in the game, her stealth is situational and mediocre, she has no mobility, the only really good thing about her are the stalling bear traps (when combined with good add ons). She is a noob stomper but struggles against good survivors.

  • it's extremely powerful if you use it correctly, by far the best survivor perk right now in the hands of good survivors. A single dead hard for distance that leads to another vault or to the next pallet can make the difference between winning and losing, because it can cost you another 20 seconds. This makes it very hard to gain momentum against a 4 DH's team. It's extremely frustrating for the killer if you outplay someone and then get DH'd to get looped another time, just straight up unfair in my opinion.

(of course this only goes for good survivors who get even better through DH. Mediocre and bad survivors often don't use it correctly)

Plague, Blight and Spirit all have really good addons. Every one of them, with the exception of Placebo Pill on Blight, is good. Wraith would come in 4th in terms of add-ons IMO.

Spirit: i would say the passive phasing, recovery (watch Otz' video about all add ons to see why), and the one where you can see blood aren't that usable, but that's also mostly because the other ones are much better

I don't know all the killers well, but I was just thinking that most of them seem to (at most) have 1-2 decent addons. Often the useful add-ons are at the brown and green level. Most killers' UR seem either completely worthless or actively detrimental.

Wraith actually has 6-7 add-ons that you'd actually use, and two (!) powerful URs:

    Silent bell (UR)

See progress of all gens when stealthed (UR)

purple all-seeing (perma 12m wallhacks in stealth, my personal favorite- best anti-stealth add-on in game)

purple pallet/locker/gen action speed up (second favorite, you can fake the decloak and tear through pallets at bubba speed)

    purple fast decloaking

purple speed (although the base now is honestly enough)

    brown terror radius/stain suppression

All of the above are extremely viable (and a lot have green versions if you are short on purple). Does anyone else have this type of variety? I can't even think of one other killer with two useful URs, let alone 6 or 7 options.

Shadowdance (faster breaking) is only fun with the "uncloak after breaking something" add on (i think it was the Serpent). You can bait drops by faking the uncloak but a lot of times you're already uncloaked and then you have to cloak again... Too situational for me

Swift Hunt only has good impact if you use the purple and green together... one alone feels like no difference for me.

You forgot about Bone Clapper, i think it's even stronger than silent bell, because survivors will be constantly stressed and run away from gens to not get surprised when they hear the bell. This makes them very unfocused after a while.

I also kinda like the Hound, it's nowhere near very strong add ons but it's a good tracking tool if you want to mix things up, especially against Iron Will survivors and when combined with Sloppy Butcher.

Green Blind Warrior is cool if you want to leave out Sloppy Butcher. The Blink ones are arguably one of his weakest but they feel like a QoL improvement. I sometimes use them together with Serpent.

You have 4k usually because everyone does. You're really nothing special or "good" at the game. Sorry to burst your bubble mate. Death rate for everyone in general is above 80% and except fresh killers who just bought the game, -everybody- gets 3-4k every single match.

If you play killer regularly and not get 3-4k every single match you are doing something very wrong, or you're doing it on purpose and let them survive. And except for the Nurse and maybe Billy and Huntress, the rest of the killers carry themselves. Example, you can have a survivor main who barely touches killer switch to Freddy or Spirit, and after 3 matches they automatically 4k every single game. It really involves no skill or ability to "win" as killer in this game dude.

LOL sry but this is complete BS. It's true that 4k's happen more often than 0k's (for me) but i can tell you that here in EU at rank 1, you play against very good survivors sometimes and if you get a bad map and play a killer like Ghostface or Wraith, it's not unlikely that you don't 4k against those. I even lose with Spirit from time to time if i make more than one mistake. Just have a bad start, don't find anyone early or get pallet-pre-dropped for 1 minute and you have a massive disadvantage. Good survivors play extremely save and then it becomes a game of patience.

  • It doesn't matter if it is a team game on paper or not, fact is that your chances of surviving are MUCH higher if you play together instead of "everyone just doing their thing and then see". At least against a good killer. There is a reason why voice comm is so OP. Organizing your tasks together and exchange information will greatly improve your chance of survival. If a teammate gets tunneled out early you will probably die, no matter how good you are. It's very hard to destroy a 3-gen or open the gates if you are only 1-2 people, but relatively easy if you're 4 people.

Of course there are situations where you can leave a teammate behind without consequences for yourself (someone getting camped in endgame, or letting someone die on hook and instead finish the last gen) but generally speaking you need your teammates to win.

  • It's one of those perks that make an already well going game even better. I mean there are some situations where it would make a difference but those are rare. If you finished the gens, chances are usually high that you can escape even without Hope. I prefer perks that help me every game.

    Step 1: Have eyes

    Step 2 : Have ears

Done, this is all you need to win every match all the time.

(ok i take the bait) yeah that's why Spirit has a 100% win rate right? Guess you would also win every match playing with her? Guess that's why in tournaments the Spirits lose most of their matches?

  • my to-go build for Solo q is:

Iron Will - Spine Chill - Detective's Hunch - Kindred Or Dead Hard (depends on if i feel to play as a team or for myself)
