  • No blaming or something, I trust u played well.

There is a lot more to dbd than what you can learn in 600h.

Im sure you did some mistakes here and there as the survivors probably did.

    Nobody's perfect.

    Also Trapper on Erie...

    Yeah

  • Well...

I dont mind anyone of them. My favorite killers are already in game. For me, everything new is just a cherry on top.

I just hope for the game that the alien is not an area denial killer. After 2 and a half I don't think dbd can take one more.

I hope it has a bit of Stealth, and ambush power. Like a mixture of demo and pig.

Maybe also a form of infection via eggs or facehuggers could be possible.

I'm more looking forward to the map.

  • Very subjective I guess....

Some people like the gameplay of one killer and dislike the next...

Most people like to play Wesker, Blight and Nurse.

Demo is also widely liked I feel like.

I personally dislike Wesker a lot and love the gameplay of Pig and old Sadako.

    Everybody has their own preferences.

  • What is the point if this post.

To make us all aware of the terrible addon situation of these 4 killers?

There are more killers than just these with a similar problem.

  • @HexPleaseLetMeSpeak said:

At this point they need a full rework. Mending is boring for survivors but at the same time, playing what is probably the most M1 killer in the game is also boring for killers. You can injure people super easily, hell pretty much for free, but downing them is a whole different story. With literally no power to help in chase (in terms of downing power), no anti loop, and not even like they're short like Sadako to mindgame. There's just nothing there.

If someone believes another killer is weak about it I would love to hear about it, because IMO literally every other killer in the game has either anti loop or SOMETHING that helps them get downs. Legion is genuinely nothing.

He injures people but then... what next? After using frenzy and injuring everyone, you're just a hard M1 killer with nothing to show for all those frenzy hits.

Legion is strong in 1v4 with the ability to slow down the game.

Survivors HAVE to mend. This can be used as a slowdown weapon.

Legion has not much in chase but they only have to deal with one health state.

That, compared with a smaller statue and relatively quiet noises make them solid m1 material.

Sure on some maps they struggle but what other m1 based killer does not.

I dont like to play them because I feel like the frenzy has no real counter and mending is super boring.

When I play them though it's mostly either a close match or a 5-4 gen stomp.

Alright killer. C-tier killer in my opinion.

  • Well....

Killer doesn't seem to be fun then I guess....

Other ideas to why the queue times are long?

I mean, if Killers would not think this way we would not have several of them throwing a tantrum whenever a good Perk for Survivors is released. The last good Perk before Made For This was Circle of Healing and while this was too strong on Release, it got nerfed into uselessness over time. Reassurance did not even leave the PTB because suddenly Killer Mains were worried that they cannot camp anymore about Survivors being held hostage by other Survivors...

And before this we have Mettle of Man which was released long ago... And before this, basically Dead Hard or DS (I dont know which one was earlier, I think DS was earlier, so DH was released later). Both of them also nerfed quite heavily and not really useful anymore.

Survivors can and do have good perks.

Sadly the standart for good perks has shifted to a dark place...

If a "good" Perk has to be as strong as mft or old dh....

Im afraid for the future of dbd.

  • Yes it is meta.

It has strong synergy with other meta perks as well.

I play mostly solo q and I understand how much the odds are especially stacked against me. I know that it will not be a fun experience and I usually just dissociate from the match. I know that the outcome does not fully reflect my skill. But I would outright DC if she has Iri Video Tape, Ring Drawing, Sloppy Butcher and Hex: Face the Darkness because that is a Sadako that knows what she's doing.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3506089#Comment_3506089

Old Sadako certainly needed buffs but I don't think this is the way the devs should've done it. To be fair, I think the monster that emerged was an unintended outcome.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3506090#Comment_3506090

Yeah, I agree. It's so difficult to play her as intended so I respect you for trying to play her on Hard mode. The problem is that her design actively incentives the condemnation playstyle which is so strong. The average Sadako has no reason not to use her to her full potential.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3506115#Comment_3506115

    Go bait elsewhere.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3506122#Comment_3506122

My experience mirrors yours exactly. I don't feel the same sense of hopelessness and dread against any other killer as I do against Sadako. It's usually not worth playing out.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3506128#Comment_3506128

I wonder if Sadako defenders are just being deliberately obtuse or if they haven't thought through the full implications of Sadako's power. Or maybe they think it's fair because they personally haven't stretched her to her limits of what she is capable of.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3506134#Comment_3506134

She definitely needed some help in chase. But yeah, they buffed her in a way that makes her even more lethal against casuals.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3506137#Comment_3506137

Not every map is like Garden of Joy where you can quickly get to safety when she comes within 24m of you. That's quite disingenuous. Also, she can give good SWFs a run for their money if you play her optimally. Lastly, most of your games are not against good SWFs.

    She needed buffs.

In the Ptb feedback section, many dedicated players wrote down their thoughts on what these buffs should be.

    I wrote about 5 hours...

If this is not the outcome they intended, I'm curious why all of our doomsday - talking got ignored the way it was.

Sorry, but I feel like a broken record.

This is the result of too many players not realizing that this killer had to be played differently, too many players abusing a certain green addon (which was not even a necessity) and too many content creators not calling bhvr out for their terrible rework.

But I guess this goes to show what voices are heard and what are not.

    Now we have the disaster.

    #bringbackSadako

  • I and may others told the devs in the Ptb feedback that this would happen. We got ignored.

    Revert the changes bhvr.

You do know they could accomplish the same thing with SB, right? MfT is inferior to exhaustion perks, but is a great alternative for people who don't want to have to run an exhaustion perk.

Good survivors who are already good at looping make a joke out of weaker killers anyway. What we really need is for those weaker killers to be revisited. Trapper, Doc, Myers, Pig, and any other weaker killer you can think of all have outdated designs and should be revisited at some point to be brought up to the level of Wesker.

I'd consider Wesker to be weaker than Blight and Nurse.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3505542#Comment_3505542

Dark Theory could be 5% and people still wouldn't run it. Boons in general aren't great, with the exception of pre-nerf CoH. It takes time to set them up, and then if you want to take advantage of them you need to be in their radius. This means you have to move the boon around as the match progresses. Especially if it's a big map like Mother's Dwelling.

People aren't abusing a busted haste perk to win. I remember the days when it was Sprint Burst meta, but at no point did I consider it "busted" or that the survivors were abusing it to win. Using a perk isn't toxic. People don't want to play against Skull Merchant because it makes for boring games.

    No.

    You are simply wrong.

Made for this is different from lithe or sprint burst and we can't put them all in the same box in regards to functionality. Made for this is during chase. Sprint burst is in the beginning of chase.

First up, the killer can decide to not chase someone with sprint burst. Made for this does not leave you a choice.

Second, made for this helps you directly in chase. You get stuff you normally wouldnt get. Sprint burst gives you the initial distance but not the distance mid chase, that made for this provides.

This is just about the 3% part of the Perk... For some reason it has a second strong effect but yeah...

    In regards to killer buffs...

Pigs a solid killer right now. Most people join the hive mind and say she's bad. That's wrong. After maiming her for almost 2000h. I can say that the amount of game delay she can dish out is more than the average team can handle.

Sure she's not strong in chase, but there your m1 skills come into play.

She simply can't be on the level of Wesker same as others. It's by design. She's weaker by design. Same as Trapper. You can give him all his traps by default. Hell still be way weaker than Wesker.

I would not say Pig is outdated. She works very well right now. Only problem is when your first chase takes more than 3 gens. Can happen against very good survivors on one of the more unbalanced maps / rng is bad.

But there perks like made for this co. E into play. Why do we have to change killers that are fine just for one Perk to stay in a problematic state?

    Seems unreasonable to me.

Most things where fine before it's release. Now it's not. I would conclude that the Perk is problematic.

Again. I personally don't have that big of a problem with it. But that's only because most survivors don't know their pathing that well.

    If all would.... Nightmare fuel

I'm used to basically not having a power as Ghostie, so instead I just run Endurance + Spirit Fury. You'd be amazed at how many times it gets survivors.

Plague is another killer where I basically have no power thanks to survivors not cleansing. My go-to strategy the 3-gen, except that I don't try to create a 3-gen. It just kind of happens naturally, weirdly enough.

I did the same thing with pre-rework Sadako. Made for This is only good in the hands of survivors who are already good and would otherwise loop you for a long while.

This is my problem with the Perk. It helps survivors that are good exponentially more and kicks killers that need help in the stomach.

  • Agree with all of yours. Would be very interesting to see this information.

I'd be interested in killer pick rates and killer hook stages per games compared to kills.

  • The stats are not accurate in terms of made for this. This is explained in the Dev-post. There are so many players calling out this Perk for being unhealthy...

And there are so many players defending it because its "fun" and not op...

Not stating an opinion here but this seems very similar to what the forum was with old dh before 6.1 (distance + i-frames+hit validation) ...

Guess history repeats itself. Let's see if it takes another six years.

Again... Not saying mft is as strong as dh.

Just saying that the situation feels awfully familiar.

Static Blast can hit multiple survivors, and yes his power can be used in chase to prevent survivors from dropping a pallet or vaulting, but that doesn't mean that's the primary function of his power. What does shocking survivors do? Inflict Madness. What does Madness do? Mostly nothing. It lets you track survivors with the right add-ons.

I agree that MfT harms Doc, but then it's not like there aren't other perks that can effectively do the same thing. A lot of Doc players I see find a survivor, and just shock them constantly like it's going to do something. Maybe all killers should have an add-on that inflicts exhausted. Then it'd simply be a matter of giving up an add-on slot.

Personally, I've had no issues against MfT as Plague or Ghostface.

Well ghosty is not that much about the chase when injured and can Mindgame with no terror radius.

Plague can use the red vomit which destroys survivors on a regular basis.

Made for this becomes a problem for m1 oriented killers against good survivors that understand pathing and structures.

Killers like Pig, Myers, Trapper, Wraith, Freddy, Doc, clown (to some extend) and ghosty (when survivor is injured and the structure let's the survivor see Ghostface) come to mind.

  • @ReikoMori said:

She's not a chase oriented killer, she's a trap setting killer with reduced movement speed. Her whole deal is that she is supposed to feel somewhat omnipresent through her traps which is honestly fine. She isn't particularly strong, but not super weak and has counterplay that is consistent and accessible to everyone no matter what happens.

    Very well put. Absolutely agree.

  • Hag is fine. She's a area control killer. That's different from others. Different playstyle, different counterplay. That's a good thing, that's variety. Camping hags are to counter as a team.

If you are hooked in the basement, maybe ask yourself, what led to that unfortunate situation.

  • I like chases.

I also like the strategic part of the game.

I love it when survivor and killer have to use their brain to escape a difficult situation.

I like the variety in maps, themes, characters and cosmetics.

    Music is also mostly awesome.

This is the only game where I can chase ash Williams as Amanda young, sadako yamamura or the demogorgon in the spaceship from alien (looking forward to that map)

Dbd has its flaws for sure but I think we can all agree, that nobody here on the forum has no empathy for the game and it's unique feel.

It just draws you in and leaves a lasting impression.

The pattern is obvious at this point. If you say the game is survivor sided you will get hate across DBD social media.

The only really outlandish thing Tru3 has ever said is that SWF’s should face an action debuff. No-one should really think that playing with friends should mean you get punished.

I watch different streamers from time to time. I dont like the opinions of most of them...

Yes. At the highest lever (predrop + coordinated gen-efficiency) this game is survivor sided.

Do you meet these groups in your public lobbies?

Very, very rarely. I've had some of them and the game feels very one sided at that point if your not prepared to stand a chance.

    However...

Even these are beatable. Survivors and especially these types of teams can fall like a house of cards.

If you play your cards perfectly and they make mistakes, as small as they may be, you CAN beat them. Not saying you will.

Most of the time it sadly involves camping, slugging, tunneling or a healthy dose of basement.

  • @WW1PilotAce said:

so in the last q&a one dev said that base ub was scrapped, but the original problem is still there.

Basekit unbreakable was implemented on the Ptb as a counter to the 4man-slug insta kill mechanic.

Not as a specific counter to slugging in general. As far as I know at least.

Due to the mechanic being badly designed and unhealthy for the game, both got scrapped for the time being.

I wouldnt be against a basekit unbreakable feature if the killer is slugging for the 4k though. It's boring. The survivor decides to stand up for the hatch to be closed.

If the survivor last for a good time in chase, they could escape for all I care.

A last chase would be more fun for me.

Gate watching or hatch tbagging is the least fun in a match of dbd for me.

  • I dont think blast mine is overturned in any way or form.

However, I get the point that the Perk is powered by simply doing the objective and the killer loses a ton of time.

It's very easy to use with little downside other that not using an other Perk.

As a surge / jolt user I dont mind it honestly.

  • It was problematic with 100% due to its synergy with dh.

It now has synergy with made for this.

I dont see a buff being necessary.

  • Would love to see more use to them.

    Variety is good.

However, they had to rival toolboxes and medkits.

    That's hard.

  • I personally haven't felt that vaults where off before but I main pig so....

I definitely feel it in demo though.

Close hits at windows like shack don't hit anymore.

So I'm a doctor player at heart but I've been getting blitzed by MFT swf teams. How do you beat this app? I watched Herman (the best doctor player) get destroyed left and right also. It seems like I'm useless at a loop using an m1 killer

    I main pig.

Usually it's not that big of a problem.

Survivor pathing in public matches is mostly not the best.

It's getting ridiculous if the survivors are very good.

    Like.

You are playing an m1 killer at shack against a 103 survivor.

    You just lose that fight.

You could say that you should just not let them get to shack. However this can be quite hard on some maps and I don't play blight that can immediately catch up.

M1 is getting the short stick against that Perk if the survivors are good.

Nurse and to some extend blight don't really care about is sadly.

I just think it's funny that players defend that kind of Perk, while they also want to see less of the stronger killers.

Maybe ask why these killers are played as much.

  • Maybe a little bit less one sided opinion next time.

The games has very unfair scenarios for both sides.

Just because u had a camping trickster on the game doesn't mean, that the game is unbalanced in favor of the killer.

  • I don't like that streamers and you tubers have the most impactful opinions on the games balance sometimes.

If some popular streamers make their lists of feedback and videos about Ptb changes or other stuff, it feels like their feedback has more weight to it than the passionate Players writing here at the forums ( case and point : Sadako)

I also grown to dislike that every strong thing gets to be showcased in dozens of videos only to be used immediately in every match from the second onward.

Back then, people had to discover interesting builds and stuff....

Now it's just : look up the video.

Outcome is, that everyone has to deal with the same stuff over and over again because content creator x, y has told them that it's overpowered.

  • Told them on Ptb that the rework is horrible. Suggested changes.

    Got ignored.

By close you mean hits that aren't even close to hitting that killers have been given for years?

No I mean hits that are close.

If I play shack correctly as demo I should get a hit at the window. Now I dot anymore. It's a Hitbox problem.

Demos Hitbox is big enough to hit through windows. Now that the survivor and their Hitbox goes further you don't get these hits anymore.

Play it if you want to.

  • Demogorgon cries in a corner...

I lost a lot hits just today because of this.

this FR, we need more encouragement for killers to stay in chase, hit and run is extremely boring.

this would be difficult to do without just outright giving killers chasing buffs (which ngl wouldn’t be good).

but, i think what they could do is make all gen regression in the game based on downs and hooks and just a little stronger. But that’s still not perfect so dunno.

    Partially correct.

Hit and run works because it works.

Killers like Sadako, Wraith and to some extend dredge do it because of mobility. You can even do that with blight if you want to.

Some killers, despite people telling otherwise, can't chase that much against decent survivors because of their lack of chase power or maps just being like they are.

(just had a game of pig on cowshed with two long tiles spawning directly next to each other... Both with pallets. Right next to that abomination was shack... Yeah...)

Game would be more fun if it was around chase.

However, a map that is fair for an m1 killer means a fiel day for nurse and blight.

    Pick your poison

Also made for this exists.... Yeah....

It's a perk that people will defend even thought it has blatant issues. M2 stack loss denying is stupid, get over it. Sorry to bad demo players that they'd have to use their power if they couldn't use STBFL. STBFL at the hook is also dumb, basically guarantees a kill. STBFL vs solos is also also dumb, no way for them to find out about it. People always going "just look at the killer when they hit a teammate" as if solos don't deserve the easy info said over comms for some reason.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3499354#Comment_3499354

"Nerf demogorgon" more like nerf braindead players who crutch on stbfl instead of learning how to use their power lol

    soooooooooooooooo..... About using Pigs ambush....

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

Do you think this perk is perfectly fine or needs some changes? What is your thoughts on this perk?

For me only one change i would put into it:

M2 hits on obsession also removes stacks. But for get stacks, you will still need m1 hits on other survivors.

This change won't hurt m1 killers and perk is fine on them already. But this perk is kinda so strong on some killers and that change will address this issue.

It is a perfectly balanced Perk. The only time when it's problematic is, when it's used for camping.

Now to the killers it's "strong" on.

Killers that you say, can save their stacks.

Pig, Demogorgon, Nemesis, Wesker, pyramid head, Artist, Trapper, Bubba, Blight, Billy, Knight, Huntress, Trickster, Deathslinger (one stack by breaking chain), Oni, Plague and Twins.

Out of these killers, the Perk is bad or useless on : Pyramid head, bubba, Billy, Huntress, Trickster, Oni, Plague and Twins.

This leaves us with Nemesis, Wesker, Artist and Blight. On these killers the perks works ok, however, there are better perks to play optimal. Depends on Playstyle but is now THE BEST.

Then there is Knight. Don't get me wrong. It's a solid Perk on him. However, saving stacks is possible in theory but impossible in practice.

Last but not least, there are Pig, Demogorgon and Trapper.

Trapper is Trapper. You have to walk into a trap for him to save stacks. Best for nasty basement builds. But that is sadly what this killer has become these days.

Pig is not the strongest either. This perk makes her have chase potential. Also to make her save stacks, she has to hit you with the ambush... If you get hit. That's your fault.

Leaves us with Demogorgon. Also not the strongest killer. Stbfl is great on him but there are better perks and builds (Devour gorgon).

All other killers can't save their stacks, meaning, survivors can stop the Perk with good teamwork and altruistic actions from the obsession. Good survivors know what I'm talking about.

Conclusion. Save the best for last is a Perk that helps out killers that have little going for them in chase and punishes survivors for making mistakes really hard.

Saving stacks is only good on killers that are not that strong to begin with.

It also serves as a band aid for map design in terms, that killers using it are mostly m1 based and have therefore problems catching up. This perk is anti-shift w. Good in my book.

Only negative is camping but with the recent change, unhooking is always possible even with 8 stacks.

In the end. This is one of the best designed perks in the game, helping out weaker killers and not helping the strong ones. Other than camping, there is no problem with this Perk. It is used that much because it fixes a game problem.

it's long over due for his voice lines and a sort of cosmetic of him to be in game at least in a way. Rigging games could be a twist of the entity that rigs the game and not him...

Im not opposed to the idea.

Would love to see him. I just feel it wouldn't be lore accurate.

  • If you flat out nerf her, her problems won't be solved.

We would only have another Freddy situation where the killer becomes so weak that nobody wants to play them. A ungodly mixture of boring and weak.

Her rework is flawed by design. Thats it.

The correct desicion would be to revert the changes and change her in the right way.

Her only viable build prior to this buff was to slug and play for condemned, using Ring Drawing and Iri Tape.

Her update has been live for only a day and a bit, so people's strategies are still developing on both sides. At least wait to see if survivors take on board means to counterplay her new methods of gaining Condemned and if killer players find an engaging yet rewarding strategy to undertake on her before asking for reverts to a version of Sadako that requires an Iridescent addon to be functional.

I HARD disagree as a sadako main since release that her only viable Playstyle was slugging with ring drawing.

I played Sadako with : Stbfl, hex face the darkness, Discordance, jolt and only the cabin sign.

I hooked a lot and still got my 1-3 condemned kills in most matches.

You saying that slugging with ring drawing was the only viable way is reducing all what she was to something lower skilled players did.

When you where good enough you could condemn people with her base power on a regular basis.

Im so sick of people saying that all sadakos that played for condemned slugged all survivors to death.

Firstly, they changed how often TVs were active on both teleporting and doing tapes

Secondly, she didn't get condemned on a tape-hit and survivors didn't lose their tapes on it, only when they were hooked and anyone without a tape would get a stack of condemned if another player was hooked with a tape, destroying it in the process.

You are right on the cooldowns.

She did get stacks for hits.

It was one stack per hit.

This could be used to "tunnel-slug" one survivor until they are dead.

This is something they actually acknowledged to be a problem, therefore tapes now get destroyed when hit.

Otherwise not much has changed from the Ptb, which is why I'm complaining this much.

Please Bhvr, rework Amanda and make it a decent killer just like Sadako is now. The hype for this movie is real because Amanda Young is back afteryears. It's the perfect time to rework her, add ''Hello Zepp'' chase music and give us new comestics

If anybody dares to touch the pig I will literally quit dbd.

    I AM NOT JOKING

Because they changed so much between PTB and Live, they didn't get any test results. That's probably the strangest thing to me. But then again, they did release SM, so I shouldn't be too surprised.

If survivors could get a tape from any TV and she couldn't teleport so much, I'd say fine. But this is a mess right now. Imo.

    Excuse me?

    They changed how much?

Almost all the feedback git ignored and they pushed this flawed concept live while knowing what would happen.

    Just what the titles say.

I now played quit a few games with the new Sadako on both sides and I am quit impressed. The devs did a very good job with her and she now feels like that haunting videotape ghost that chases you and lets you feel the dread. This is the Sadako I loved since the movies and now I finally got her.

From the survivor side it was a bit of a struggle to get used to her. Playing like I did against the old Sadako did not work and I got killed during my first match. However next match I grabbed myself a tape early and yes, it was a bit of a struggle. Getting hit while carrying a tape is punishing but only if you already have condemn on yourself. Getting hit when you grab a tape early just lifts a lot of pressure from you and makes the whole thing a lot easier.

My friend and I (I mostly play duo survivor) had tons of fun managing our condemn, while trying to avoid getting caught. You need to watch this and handle it a bit like a Pig trap: Do not wait until it is too late, act early and avoid getting killed. Slugging Sadakos are a bit of an issue but we managed even that (I love running Exponential or Unbreakable).

Overall we had a blast. She felt like a danger now but still is a M1 Killer that has to play by the rules. However you need to be aware of your surroundings to not get caught in the open by her. Good feeling, she is dangerous and this is how I want my Killers.

I think many complains come because people are to bold against her and give her too much. This is the same as playing against Oni: When you give him an early hit the match goes downhill very quickly. Same for Sadako if you let her build up enough condemn, you will struggle to recover from this if you do not act early.

The slowdown she now can present is quit nice and can keep the match going. When she has a 3gen it gets worse (but that is on 3gens and not on her) and she will probably win (as will every killer in a good 3gen).

The best thing is that she feels different: The mini-quest to get rid of condemn while also restricting her movement is fun and makes for a welcome change to Blight or Nurse, at the same time it does not have the "Cenobite-issue" where one teammate can send the boat over the cliff, because you can manage your own condemn.

    Later I switched to Killer.

I ran her with a bit of info, a slowdown, one of her perks and a random fun perk (BBQ, Eruption, No where to hide, Sloppy Butcher) with only brown add-ons to get a good feeling (just a bit more flickering and invisibility).

My first game was 2 moris, one DC and one escape. The survivor just never took a tape, I ported to get pressure on the gens and did a few chases, boom, somebody was condemned and ran into me while injured. Of course I killed that survivor and another one alt+F4 the game. Not very representative.

The other matches where pretty normal. Some survivors still played against me like the old Sadako and got killed, some tried weird flashlight saves and died, some just had overall problems (Self-care...) and a few where quit good.

What I noticed: Once a survivor is condemned you are an unstoppable force. You can walk through survivors, you ignore stuns and the survivor is running for their life. This is great it feels like you play that Sadako from the movies where you can not escape her. Notice however they can prevent this with ease: Tapes are very strong. Just like EMPs against the Singularity they are not optional for the survivors, they are a must have for their dual purpose: They limit my mobility a lot and keep the survivor save.

The matches where I did not get any kills where survivors who juggled their condemn very good. Most did this by just grabbing, then quickly returning to 0 condemn after I hooked them (tape delivery later) and grabbing a new tape asap (3 TVs down, I lost a lot of mobility here...). This is fine however because the passive slowdown feels great.

My only suggestion would be that something should be done about Sadako slugging. But that is not an issue with here, that can be said for every Killer.

I hope that the devs do not nerf her because I strongly believe that survivors will get better against her once they are used to her. I imagine her arising to the same "issue" as pig: New and bad survivors will get killed by her, some will get moried because they did not play against her for ages but the descent ones will be fine and have a good time and only see the condemn as a slowdown (a good one).

Overall this is a big win.

Thank you devs for making this Killer good and giving me the right feeling when playing as her and against her. You took your time and it was worth it. She is great now and I very much enjoy these changes. Please keep them.

    Glad you enjoy it.

Sadly I cannot share your sentiment. I played her since release and loved her the way she was.

She had a genuine skill ceiling. (Don't tell me she has one now, she does not)

    She had unique interaction.

Playing Sadako now makes me sad, because I know what she once was.

It feels dull and boring compared to her former self.

  • It's a bad rework. To solve the problem, they have to revert the changes and do something different.

Nerfing or changing her slightly will not make the problem go away.

This killer was fun, unique and engaging.

Now most of what was fun about her is gone.

Nice to see people want to see changes though.

However, regarding, that almost all of the Ptb feedback was ignored, I would not get my hopes up that any of the feedback here will stumble upon attention.

Same about that last sentence, I fear she might get changed in a way that makes her really really weak, as she currently doesn't have the versatility in her kit needed to play in ways other than the new teleporting one. So if she gets weaker in that without anything else in exchange it might be really really bad in the long run

The changes from PTB to this version were overall great though so I'm hopeful

She was so much better before.

I feel like this is Freddy all over again.

I just wouldn't bet on either another rework or bhvr to swallow their pride and revert the changes, especially when there are players that like those changes.

So i just think that the most probable thing that will happen is a nerf to her because of how oppressive and controversial she is against solos

I honestly don't expect good things for her in the coming weeks.

I would love be see you be wrong but i sadly have to say that this seems to be the chase.

It wouldnt even be a rework. They just have to see that they made a mistake and revert it. Simple as that.

I also don't want any knee-jerk nerfs, however I do think that it's not quite so simple as people who are saying to just take the tapes are implying.

Yes, as of right now, taking the tapes is seemingly like the correct counterplay, because it keeps her from passively condemning you. But it doesn't totally shut her down.

Once she's found you and hit you, now you're in trouble. You have to find another tape and fast. You can only get them from TVs which are currently on, meaning you have to run around until you find one.

So then you find one, but if the Sadako is paying attention or using the Mother's Comb, she'll know you just grabbed another tape and where you are. And now she's going to try to stop you from putting that tape away.

It doesn't take many mistakes to quickly snowball your condemned and allow her to mori you. Even if she focuses on doing this to just 1 survivor at a time, if she knocks one out by 2-3 gens left, it's going to be a hard time for the others to come back.

It's true that she doesn't have a chase power, but you have so fewer allowances for mistakes against her than other killers because she straight up ignores hook states, and while her stealth isn't amazing, she is still hard to keep track of, which makes her very good at hit-and-run.

As Otz pointed out in the video he made today on her, the counterplay for survivors is actually quite complicated compared to the level of effort the Sadako has to put in to do all of this. I'm saying this as someone who has Sadako at prestige 24.

By far the most problematic thing though is how a lot of Sadakos simply don't care about hook stages. If she never hooks anyone, survivors get very little in the way of blood points and progress towards medals for pips, which makes her particularly aggravating to play against even compared to other strong killers. They really need to do something to keep her from just constantly slugging everyone.

Im feeling like a broken record....

We told them what she needed to be better. We told them this rework wasnt it. Nerfing her in numbers doesnt fix the problem. The4y has to see that map wide condemn is bad for her. I myself (mained her since launch) wrote 3 posts about how to rework / buff her. I told them about the changes on the PTB and where they would lead. I told them about the things she would need. I and a lot of others even came up with fun addons to take into consideration.

They ignored our constructive feedback. Now we have the disaster.

I would love them to revert the changes. Its bad for her and bad for the game as a hole. Keep ring drawing as it isa and revert the rest. Shes better that way.

Otherwise. I have all my posts in my archive. I can post it again if anybody wants to read. There where a ton of great ideas from all sorts of players.

I think that this time, we should NOT only look at popular content creators but at the players actually playing her consistently.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

The only thing should be nerfed is her Mother's Comb. They should rework this add-on.

Except that, i don't see any issue with her. Sadako is fine.

    Shes not.

She was more fine before than shes now.

Played her on a daily basis.
