No more than he trusts fire. Guy looks like he would trade his kid for a pack of smokes and a six pack of brewskies. Only to send me on a quest to get his kid back and not pay me.
Yeah, that sounds like something patches would do xD

The p100 Ace in tuxedo is obviously a tournament winning survivor main with above 20k hours.
No. Prestige ≠ skill. It just means, that that person is very dedicated to that character.
Usually, people are playing their p100 characters rather often, which results in them being pretty decent at playing them.

I agree with you.
Dying light is a "win more" - perk that does not help you when you need the help most (early game). The slowdown isn't even that impactful, and the buff to the obsession on top of the perk disabeling itself when the obsession dies just makes it a mid perk in every regard.
Do you see more people using it??? That be a new one for me. Have not seen that perk in action for years (with the exception being me when I try variety builds).

Toolboxes got buffed
Overall repair speed for gens is faster
All gen regression is nerfed into the ground
Auto Heaven, Eyeire of Crows, Ormond and Gideon are all very survivor sided maps.
No playing killer are not easier now than ever, im not sure who told you that?? - did you hear that from a streamer??
There was a time where moris didnt required hook states for example.
No. I experienced that myself over the time I've been playing. Which has been a pretty long time until now. I like to make my own experiences and opinion and not trust the gospel of some person online.
How are gens faster? They got 10sec more slapped on them and killers can kick them for more regression now.
The only reason I see how you can think that gens are generally faster is, that you relied too much on Gen perks in the past and their removal / nerfs hit your playstyle extremely hard OR that you face survivors that are generally very gen focussed. Which I agree, survivors are more efficient these days. They have to be though. Feel free to prove me wrong.
Tollboxes got buffed only in terms of sabo. How often do you see that happen?
Not all gen regression got nerfed "into the ground" you are exaggerating and you know it. If you truly think this way, I encourage you to look up all the Gen regression / blocking perks and their change logs.
Some auto havens are very decent for killer and some got nerfed hard. Gas heaven was one of the worst killer maps in the game and is now decently balanced while still leaning a bit towards survivor.
I agree on eyrie.
Ormond has been A LOT worse in the past. While it still is rather survivor favored nowadays, it is nothing compared to how it was back then.
Gideon can be the most killer sided map in the game if you play the right killer with the right build. If you play bubba with 4 Gen regression, then I understand why you think that map is survivor sided. It's the worst designed map in the game. That's what it is. It desperately needs a rework.
Yes. There was a time when moris did not take hooks. That was the same time when you could instantly heal yourself from dying to healthy, finish gens at the press of a button from 0 to 100 and shack had two windows and a pallet. What is the point you want to make here?

The nerfs to gen slowdown perks has forced killers to equip 2 or more in their builds to get the same effect that only one used to have. Without that gen defense, the match is already lost from the beginning. So really, it did the opposite effect BHVR wanted. Instead of moving killers away from gen perks, it's forced us to double down on them making certain situations OP especially when they nerfed the gen kicking meta with only being able to kick a gen 9 times. It also sucked the fun out of playing a wide variety of builds unless you really just want to lose every match. Instead of nerfing so many of them, they should've just made it so the stronger ones (say Pop and Pain Resonance) can't be used together. They've also nerfed the hell outnof tunneling and camping. Yes it's not a fun playstyle but in certain situations, it's necessary. Like when you're not doing so hot and you're down to two gens, tunneling someone out, tilts the game back in one's favour but with all the new second chance perks and antitunneling/anti-aging perks, it's impossible. Also, things like kicking gens faster and breaking pallets was a necessary change given again, all the new survivor perks that far outweigh anything killers have. And nerfs to things like DS and DH were just as necessary as they were incredibly abused.
So yeah, killers are stronger now than they were back in the day BUT we also weren't facing the amount of survivor perks and SWFs that we are currently.
I could go into literally each of your points and disarm them if you want to.
Almost everything got easier for killer, so the devs want you to slow down the game naturally and not through perks. Therefore a nerf to Gen perks is fine by me. You should not rely on these perks. Of course, you need at least one Gen perk at higher play, but stacking them (2-4) is very much overkill imo. Been only using surge on sadako and Pig for years and cannot complain at all.
The gen kick meta got rightfully nuked. Holding a 3gen for hours is horrendous. Only people that are beyond biased defend this. Sorry, not sorry.
Not stacking stuff together is a great idea. Very strong stuff should not be stackable. (Multiple syringes on survivor teams, more than one slowdown on blight / Nurse / Billy...)
If you have two gens left and your by your account a great player, then you should have a lot of pallets gone at that point. Winning the game is very much still possible through chases and hooking if you play well. Not every team is the mission impossible squad.
The devs nerfed face camping. If you face camped before, you lost a lot regardless or your survivors didn't know how to deal with you. I see no issue there. Proxy camping is still as strong as it always was.
Tunneling is still strong if done right. If you want to hit people immediately of hook, then I don't know what to tell you. Others also deserve to play the game.
And don't get me started on shoulder the burden. The perk that sees incredible use in like 2 out of 10 games.
You make nerfs to survor seem like they just had to happen at some point and are therefore out of discussion. They are not. Just because you are of the opinion, that they had no place in the game to begin with does not make their removal less of a buff to killer.
May I remind you of swf with keys, bnp, insta heal, cowshed ...
They were there back then, they are here now. Your exaggerating the problem. Killer IS stronger than ever before. It speaks for how awful the role was back in the day that its rather balanced now.
-
While I agree, that Gen perks are generally a bit weaker now, everything else on killer got stronger over the years.
- Multiple buffs to specific killers
- Multiple buffs to killer in general
- Maps got smaller / weaker pallets
- Haddonfield is now killer sided
- Multiple nerfs to very strong survivor perks.
Playing killer is a lot easier now than it has been in the past. I don't know what else to say. The changes speak for themselves.
-
Good change:
- Pig gets a 24m TR.
-
A video clip of the situation would be very helpful. What your describing sounds like a ping issue to me. Normally, bubba gets stunned and the pallet breaks. No down.
-
Here are two fun ones:
One punch - Nemesis
- Iron grasp
- Agitation
- Mad grid
- Awakened awareness
Insta-Clown
- Agitation
- Starstruck
- Stbfl / haunted grounds / devour hope
- Lethal pursuer
-
Vibing in swf with the other members of the society of swine is obviously the best.
Other than that, I'd say that I got to like 60/40 killer / solo survivor ratio at this point.
Soloq can be fun if your lucky. Sadly I'm often not that blessed and am not the best survivor myself.
When it starts to be frustrating, I switch to killer, as this is usually more chill to me. (As I have a TON more experience on killer and I don't take winning (3k+) that seriously)
Pig, Sadako and the occasional Nemmy - match are always a good time.
-
That would fix so many issues.
To sole this games "confused player" - problem, the tutorial has to be the solution.
Learning dbd is extremely hard for newcomers. Make them test situations in a controlled environment where they can make as many mistakes as possible before throwing them to the wolves.

True but this happens even with good ping. At 30ms I still get grabs canceled as killer with no hit to compensate. I dont even go for them anymore. And if the killer has bad ping, the unfair hits far outweigh this loss
As I said, yes.
Just wanted to point out that both sides are effected by bad ping and that's its not just a one sided problem, despite survivors definitely getting screwed over harder.

8/10 Bait. If we could lock-in for a couple seconds, we'd realize that this has been an issue for years that Bhvr has actively ignored and refused to solve when you are NOWHERE in range of the vault, window or lunge and yet somehow; it hits.
It doesn't and should never come down to a "Lol, I've never experienced this so it must be a you thing." When people have been saying this for YEARS. There's countless clips of evidence that prove that it's an issue that needs to be resolved. So, please, let's not act like it does.Of course its a problem. It has always been a problem. Bad ping can be a problem for both sides.
However, to solve this, it needs more than a band aid like deleting medium vaults. Not only would this probably not "fix" the issue, as most band aids never do, but also create a whole bunch of new problems.

Oh I know the point but it's still my opinion. If they fix fast vaults then I wouldn't say remove medium vaults. Killers hitting you through things 95% of time is unjustified when your fast vaulting. The short time they had fix them even the notes claim the fast vaults was being treated as medium vault speed hence why we always get hit.
What about killers that have good ping? Out of my experience (I have pretty decent internet on myself) most matches I play, the killer has a ping in the range of 30-60. If you remove medium vaults, you make their experience awful for absolutely not reason. It would turn absolutely valid hits into misses.
-
@Memesis said:
Ping issues are always killer sided, that's the problem. If the killer has bad ping, they feel virtually no issues with connecting hits on their end, but survivors see themselves hit around corners, after vaults, the works. All players are actively punished for having good ping, while only killers are rewarded for having bad ping.
Not entirely true. All killer grabs are dependent on survivor ping.
I acknowledge, that this is by far the lesser evil than the impact a bad killer ping can have, however, it is an aspect to take into account.
-
@buggybug was for removing medium vaults. That's what our discussion was about.
In regard to the ping issue. It's not entirely true, that only survivors are effected by bad ping. Every form of grab is dependent on survivor ping. As a Pig main myself, you can imagine how frustrating this can be. Do I complain about it? No. Why should I.
Is it as big of a problem as killer ping making hits feel like gunshots? Absolutely not.

This. Hear ye, hear ye. @buggybug and @radiantHero23
Apologies for interrupting the Textual Fight Night®, but I feel the quote above is whats happening. Meaning, Survivors are getting hit from Jupiter, but its nothing malicious on the killers side, its just ping. Its been said servers will toss ya into a different region now and then, and you'll have ping warriors hitting you far away as if Dhalsim has made it into DBD. This is soooooooo rare though, like bigfoot or getting an amazing SWF back to back.
Thoughts? Should ping be something BHVR tries to handle? Can't fully deal with it because.. well, ping. How to make ping work for the entity… Hmm.
Sorry, forum shenanigans have put your post this low in here...
Anyway. Ping cannot entirely be solved I think. Bhvr tried and failed in the past with hit validation.
The only solution to make the problem less noticeable is to add servers, so that fewer extremes can happen. Then again, what do I know. Netcoding is not my specialty.

Because there must always be 2-3 busted killers. Blight is and will likely always be one of them. Tbh, grabbing a blight main friend and practicing in customs will wipe those ridiculous hits away after a bit. Good luck!
It's pretty simple honestly. A really good killer needs movement and oppressive chase. Those that have both are the strongest.
You can nerf blights hitbox a bit but he will still be there due to his power being extremely strong on a fundamental level.

Am not about to waste time looking up some video about something that is pointless. Only one niche thing medium vault does it that it also procs lithe, else what is it's purpose?
It's a balancing decision to not make looping too oppressive.
If you don't want to inform yourself about why the things you propose might not be good, you should expect to receive criticism for that proposal.

Best to ignore them, they appear to be absolutely clueless regarding to game balance if they seriously think removing medium vaults are a good idea.
Medium vaults serve the purpose of ensuring survivors cannot fast vault whenever they feel like it, it needs to be timed and their routes need to be planned. Before medium vaults were a thing killers had a particularly harder time, and it was unfair especially against 110% movement speed killers.
@xCakeStick said it really well here.

1st of April hasn't arrived yet bro
… and weekend is over as well.
On topic though. Giving haste for free is a bad idea on multiple levels. Some have already pointed out how miserable it was to play against mft when it first got released. Why was it miserable? Because haste stacks in this game, resulting in very stupid scenarios where the killer can NOT catch up.
On top of that, high tier killer are less influenced by haste than lower level killer are. This is due to most lower level ones being focussed on m1 gameplay which is completely dependent on movement speed. Survivors have a smaller hitbox, which is why catching up at loops takes longer than catching up in a straight line. When both hug it as tightly as possible, the survivor makes more distance than if they dont hug it. This is how looping works. Mft made this shift to survivor in most cases by default and created a miserable experience for lower tier killers. High tier killers with strong abilities like Nurse, Blight or Billy dont care that much about speed increase as these m1´s do (while some of them are still impacted heavily). Therefore you hit those that already struggle with your suggestion.
Last but not least, I want to go into your mindset of balancing swf / soloq. The game is not balanced around 50/50 escape rate. Its 60% kill rate. Why? I can sadly not tell you that. Its what the devs want and what they do.
The misery of soloq is nto only the lack of communication, but the skill difference between the players. You, as a solo player dont know how experienced and reliable the others are and vice versa. Often people of very different skill levels get pushed into a lobby, creating the typical awful soloq match. Giving the corner-Claudette 10% haste for free will not help the team when shes just sitting there with urban evasion and self care, never touching a single gen. Swf deletes that aspect because the people know each other and their respective skill level. The weaker link will stay mostly hidden doing gens and strategyzing, while the strong loopers will take aggro. Most scary are 4 players that can do everything. They know each killer, map, how to loop and what to do in every situation. They dont have to be swf.
I appreciate that you try to fix one of this games most longstanding problems, but this isnt it. Bad players are not fixed by giving them a busted effect for free, which they dont even understand how to use. You fix them by:
- creating an easy to understand and comprehensive tutorial.
- implementing a WORKING matchmaking that looks at more than just kills and escapes.
PS.: Thx for the downvote ^🐽^

I agree with their logic, but not to this extend. IMO every Realm should have at least two Maps (but better than the Eyrie-map, which is just ugly-looking and a real mess, there was not much effort put into creating it).
But more in a sense that the map ends up the opposite of what the already excisting map is. E.g. I would like to see maps which are more open for The Game, Lerys, Midwich and Hawkins to add variety to the Realm. But making a killer-sided map for a survivor-sided map is not really good, I agree on that. (Especially because Eyrie itself also gets nerfed for Survivor)
But hey, since BHVR does not favor either side, we will see a new survivor-sided version of Haddonfield, do we? Since the one we have now is the most killer-sided map and apparently it is a good idea to just make the opposite when favoring one side on a map/realm. :^)
I dont think a map or realm should be inherently catered towards one side in particular, as it encourages that side to only pick that map to optimize their loadout for the best possible result.
Erie is undeniably very survivor favoured and instead of tackeling that problem they just make it a coin flip of who gets screwed over. Thats not a good decision in my opinion. Same with Haddonfield. They should not just add a different version that is similar in strenght to the very old version but balance the map better.

It already is one, Dead Dawg. If the killer doesn't 3-gen, or the survivors save main gen for last, the match is lost.
I think I asked that before, but on what map do you think the killer has an easier time?
-
@Caiman said:
Considering BHVR said they added this map as a "nerf" to the map offering, it being killer-sided seems intentional as a counterbalance to the survivor-sided Forsaken Boneyard.
They said that?
Oof. Are you guys on board with that mindset? We know the map is bad and we know people keep using map offerings to essentially give themselves an advantage, so let's just make a very bad map for them instead of fixing either map offerings or the problem itself, the map.
So when people bring a map offering for forsaken boneyard, there will just be a coin flip if the Survivors have an easy time or the killer does.
I don't get that logic. Sorry.

I personally dont some of it. Exiting the tunnels feels amazing now and the tial being nerfed a bit is an ok trade. The turret changes however feel too much and should not go live.
Xeno has a really low pick rate. It should not be priority to make it even lower.
