People cant get use out of stacked slowdown perks during this event, therefore they try the next best thing.
I assume, that after this event ends, everything is going back to normal.

i dont want to be rude, but i think they have stripped pig of everything that gives her any power, and everything that made her just a little fun
For this event, almost yes. You can go around and jump some people with stealth.
Her power is literally on cooldown right now. T🐽T

Your POV is lower which makes it harder to see survivors and you can lose your power faster
But compared to normal m1-mode you have a power at all.
I agree with the pov. Although i never had any issues with seeing or hitting survivors.

Well I brought up the forced Crawler Mode switch annoyance as I make sure to bring it up anytime I get the chance. I just don't see the point of making us switch. Always thought it should be a choice.
What is the downside to crawler mode?

"Only buffs" when the attack takes longer, making it even more reactable.
Compared to chasing in m1 with a bigger tr and a big character model, yes. I'd say that crawler mode only gives buffs.

That was my bad, I misremembered the new version of Iri Tag.
Yes. Blight can't Inst down anymore. That got nerfed for a good reason.
You know what blight has to get? Two hits. He also has to respect God pallets like most other killers do.
Just would like to remind of the aspect, that chucky got his scamper removed entirely just because of it being a guaranteed hit at pallets. Ghoul has the exact same thing at a lot of pallets, gets free deep wound THROUGH walls AND has blight - tier mobility.
But yes. He has to get the second hit (partially) without his power. By that I mean he can use his power to block anything you could use and then get the very hard earned m1.
Please excuse the sarcasm, but I'm growing rather tired of people defending the state of this killer.

Could do that with Blight, though.
Going by the speed, I'm guessing they were just the top of the stairs and had Lethal. That's a very short split, tbh.
Thing is, you can try to spin a blight. This you can't dodge.

And they would trash talk you last week after a 4 man out, LOL.
I know Ghoul is quite problematic right now but we can't forget the community is also problematic. I've been receiving far more toxicity these days - before ghoul release - for playing weaker killers/losing than ever before. I don't think they've changed their minds. If the ghoul gets nerfed to the ground these same people probably will return to their usual behavior of trash talking weaker/newer killer players.
@OP
Looks like meta perks won't be as effective in this mode, since at least 2 gen won't be normal gens, so pop/pain ress/eruption etc won't be as effective.
I will play as survivor. With the increased BP this patch brought, even when the match is not the best one at least is easier to farm points.
Thing is, i don't get 4man outed as Pig >🐽0
-
Ok?
Had a bad game?
-
I play both sides with killer filling more playtime than survivor.
The Ghoul is currently overtuned. This does not mean that the killer needs to he "nerfed into the ground". He needs adjustments to make the experience of playing against him less miserable.
You call others selfish, while you want to keep something that is clearly overtuned without taking the other side into consideration. Sorry, but... Who is selfish?

BHVR should make this an optional setting so not all players are forced to listen to the new music. And yeah I know about the lobby changes for new DLCs. But I still just find it annoying now, I used to think it was fine because the music for the DLCs weren't that bad. But I absolutely despise the anime music, I think it ruins the whole DBD aesthetic completely.
We asked for custom lobbies for years. There are many lobby themes, that people liked A LOT.
Some examples are:
- og halloween event
- All kill chapter
My personal favourite is still the Sadako rising - lobby theme. Felt so other worldly.
Sadly they already stated that they do not intend to make us customize our lobbies. Sorry to disappoint.

It's gonna return eventually.
The lobby usually changes to fit the current chapter / event.

Kaneki's just about everything I wanted in a killer, so much so that it made me want to consider playing the game again — anime, looks cool, has a waifu skin, every killer seems to consider him strong and really fun. It all seems like a really perfect buy, but something in the back of my head is practically screaming that it's TOO perfect. It's hard not to stand by that when the survivor side is already in uproar about him.
I can't really help but think it's inevitable he'll get nerfed at least how Chucky did, if not worse. I played Skull Merchant and Trickster before I stopped, so I'm used to bad killers people hate anyway, but I've never really been in a situation where I played a strong killer I really liked, and then they got nuked into obscurity; I'm not sure if that sort of whiplash is something I could deal with. When he does get nerfs (and that's probably inevitable), how likely is he to at least still be enjoyable (so somewhere around B-tier at worst)?
I'm a killer main and even I say, that he's overtuned right now.
If you want a power trip go for it. It's your decision. Especially if you like the character. Never chose a character purely out of other peoples perceived strength. Your opinion matters.
I main Pig and Sadako despite the community deeming them awfully weak (which they are definitely not).
Sadly, it does seem like the trend with new killers getting nerfed continues here.

Dracula is hard to play on the high level against good players and even decent, u have to combine all forms to get value and this is hardest part. He isnt even close to kaneki in mobility. And need a lot of practice to play. You miss hellfire u slowdowned so much that any survivior can chain into any loop on a map. Wolf form like demo, isnt very hard to dodje dash. Bat form, isnt very usefull in chase cuz surviviors will camp the pallet or window if youre turn into bat. (A lot of oprions for em.) So i dont see where dracula catching up is strong?
Ok…
Dracula had an issue on release, where the bat form was able to catch up in seconds, making survivors not reach tiles in many cases. This made him extremely oppressive as it negated survivor agency. You got hit and just went down. Nothing you could do. Kaneki often has the same issue.
I wish I could camp a pallet when these killer ctach up, because VERY often I cant even reach one.
Dracula, let alone any other killer being difficult to play is not part of the discussion at all.

Currently "bias" appears to be how people are defending this.
If killers could be blinded through walls, obstacles, and ceilings, people would be burning the forums down to get the obvious bug fixed.
No one with an ounce of integrity would say that's a skill issue, or even that it's clearly intended. But the "non functional, broken thing" benefits them in this case, so it gets blindly defended.
sigh…

- Cooldown after using a leap to catch up should be increased to allow a survivor to make it LITERALLY ANYWHERE.
Catching up is already very strong (see dracula). Getting a free injured state is also very strong. I think you should be able to make it to a tile as a survivor. Sorry, but I think survivors should have any form of agency in chase.

He is already balanced around having a strong, guaranteed injure. The tradeoff is that he cannot down with the power directly. He is unique in the way that he can use his power to facilitate his ability to down people with basic attacks, but only in niche angles in some loops. It's primarily a mobility power. You aren't supposed to avoid being injured against this killer, you're supposed to avoid going down by looping him naturally.
You're angry and upset that you don't have two health states but you have no sight of how much the character has to pay for that compared to Dracula, Nurse, Blight, etc. Even Pig can down with her dash ability. I can defend this because I comprehend the game's mechanics at a high level. Kaneki DOES have to chase you down with an M1 as a "trade of" for the free injure. Your own reasoning applies to this character yet you don't realize it.
When did I say that I was upset about getting injured for free?
He can catch up faster than you can get to any tile. That makes him not have a trade of. You say that you understand dbd, but you seem to only understand it from one perspective.

@Leon_Loves_Cheryl said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3904247#Comment_3904247
I literally just explained why the power needs to hit through obstacles in some situations in order for the killer's power to actually function. It's just how the game works. It only looks weird because he latches on to you and deals damage to you after a delay (between the period of locking on to you and landing next to you.) They can't make it "look better" without unbalancing the killer.
And I said that they should consider doing that because the experience of playing against it is currently horrible.
What am I supposed to do to avoid getting injured? I can stun a legion. I can block a plagues vomit with pathing and environment. On top of this, these two killers have to chase you down with m1 as a trade of for the free injure.
Im sorry, but how can you defend this?
-
@Leon_Loves_Cheryl said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3904192#Comment_3904192
This is intended because of concessions that had to be made due to the power not dealing damage instantly.
Let me explain:The nature of his power necessitates the hit going through if you're around a corner or behind a gen because it has a travel time. It's like how Huntress hits you right before you round a corner, that's still a legitimate hit, it just doesn't have a delay. Because Kaneki's power has a delay, it LOOKS weird, but it needs to be this way because there are only two alternatives:
- He just lets you go after he *already lands the hit* on you because it "doesn't look correct"
- He vacuums you back around the corner to "make the hit look better" and make you lose more distance in the process.
In the first scenario, it feels terrible to play, and in the second scenario, it feels *even worse* to play against than the average player currently perceives it to be.
The hit is perfectly fine as-is in my opinion. There were concessions that had to be made in terms of "feel" because Kaneki doesn't damage you immediately (again, like with my Huntress example.) He hits you around the corner because he locked onto you BEFORE you rounded the corner.
There were indeed concessions that had to be made in terms of "feel" because Kaneki doesn't damage you immediately (again, like with my Huntress example.) He hits you around the corner because he locked onto you BEFORE you rounded the corner.
It is 100% working as intended.
However, I would certainly be down with reducing the duration of his enrage animation while also reducing the amount of time that the survivor is stationary so it's fair for both sides (since I don't personally feel like he's overpowered - he's the only dash killer where his dash doesn't have the ability to down survivors, so it's actually fair for it to work the way it does. Even Pig's dash can down people.)
This solution would resolve the janky/stuttery feeling while being power-neutral.
How it is right now is not aceptable in my honest opinion. It feels worse than Legion.
Why does the first feel horrible to play? If the survivor got behind cover, then they should not get hit. Simple as that. It makes the Ghoul harder to play, but keeping in mind, that injuring people is literally FREE right now, I dont think thats a bad idea at all.
Also, Its not around a corner. Its straight up through walls, platforms and, from what ive heard, even different levels of elevation. If im behind a wall at a jungle gym, I SHOULD NOT GET HIT THROUGH A WALL. Huntress cannot hit you through a wall. She hits you around coorners because of ping and hitbox. I know that.
If thats working as intended, then why do I have to still play around walls as slinger? just make me hit through walls now. Free deep wound every time. Because hes slow, the second hit is justified to be a "bit" harder to get right? Slinger is slow but can injure for free and Kaneki is fast and can injure for free. You see how this sounds?
His dash downing survivors would make him rival Twins on ptb. You can catch up on people in an instant and traverse the map as fast a blight. That in itself is a power some killers could only dream of. Pig has to crouch down and then charge her ambush. Shes also 115 and hhas no mobility at all. This comparison makes no sense at all.
What I would like to see:
- Hits should not go through walls or ceilings. That is straight up wrong and feels incredibly cheap-
- Cooldown after using a leap to catch up should be increased to allow a survivor to make it LITERALLY ANYWHERE.
Everything else is absolutely fine imo. Strong but fine.
-
Id just like to not get hit through walls. Thats it.
-

Its usually because it takes time for people to learn how to play against a killer and as a killer. Rather than immediately nerfing something a week after i comes out, give it some time to marinate and see how things go. Once people start learning, then changes can be made as needed.
I come from an era of gaming where you just dealt with the fact that magneto was the best character in MvC2 and you figured out how to beat him, rather than calling for nerfs right away.
The killer has not even been out for a day, people are still figuring stuff out. Give it some time.
Can you help me figuring out why im getting hit through walls?
On anything else im willing to give it a lot of time, but that one feels incredibly cheap to play against.

Yup its just a step down from nurse as he cant go through walls/levels but I have played it and slingshotting yourself infront of the person before they can even get away after the first free hit is…. just like nurse.
3 dashes almost permanently…. with 115 speed… with almost no cd on his dash…. a free first hit unless you are braindead…
All this stuff was brought up in the PTB so I am not sure why it made it to live in this state. (get people to buy something broken maybe idk…)I can already tell its one of THESE updates.
its awful too, because I really dont like them releasing a new killer, just for them to get nerfed a few weeks later.Im willing to test out more counterplay and give it some time. CONTRAVERSIAL STATEMENT!
PREPARE YOUR SALT SHAKERS!
Hello, Dwight main here!
I come to you all today to tell you that the Ghoul is the biggest slop I've ever gone up against in DBD. The Ghoul is an unbalanced and broken mess. And I know for a fact that other players can agree with me!
You wanna doge the jumping attack? Too bad because it can hit you from 10 feet away! Want to dodge the targeting attack? Guess what? That can hit you even if the killer misses! And it can do it from the other side of a wall too! Thinking of running away? Good luck!
Jokes aside, the Ghoul's abilities and attacks almost never miss. And the fact that 90% of killer mains at this very moment are playing as the Ghoul makes the game for survivors very unenjoyable, at least from my experience today. I've been playing the game all day today and I have had 80% Ghoul games only and holy GOD DAMN they destroy my team regardless of skill! The only time I managed to escape was by doing the uhh "spinning around the killer" move. I don't remember what it's called, but it saved me like three times. The Ghoul is so overpowered and it ANGERS ME! HOO RAH!
Oh and it's buggy too. Did I mention that it can hit you from the other side of a wall?
If you've had a very unfortunate encounter with "Le Ghoul," feel free to share your experience below!
Anyway, hope everyone's having a great day. 🙉
Also downvotes = I turn you into guacamole.
Im so glad im not the only one thats getting injured through walls.
In regard to other changes, im down to waiting a bit to test out stuff. But getting hit through walls!?! How are you gonna explain that to a new player? Jeeezzz I have over 4k hours and that feels incredibly awful to me and Ive seen my fair share of weird things happening in this game.
How do you defend this? The survivor made the correct play and used the environment to put somethign between them and the Ghoul to evade getting injured, just for it to matter nothing and them getting hit regardless.

Feels like Legion on steroids. Getting someone injured is even more free than with Legion or plague (Im honestly suprised that BHVR made this possible) without any downside for the second part of the chase. Whereas Legion and Plague have to catch up and chase you down as a normal m1 (if you dont give plague corrupt purge or let legion get the 4th hit) the Ghoul can catch up in seconds and block your only availible tile. I would have less of a problem with this, if the cooldown after using the leap to catch up would be bigger to allow the survivor to get LITERALLY ANYWHERE. As this is not the case though, it feels like there is not much you can do if your in chase with him / her other than to hope they make a mistake. I thought we wanted to go away from Nurse-type killers… I might be missing something, but thats my experience from 6-7ish games I played yesterday. If anyone wants to share their experience and had a better time, feel free to enlighten me / us.
Definitely high A - bottom S right now.

The Ghoul does have to M1 survivors to down them.
The thing is he can catch up to them in 5 seconds and either bodyblock them off from their resource or cut them off before they can reach anything in the first place.
basicly it, yes. Thats what I mean with a trade of. Legion and Plague have to chase you as an m1 killer without any help but can injure you almost for free. Should have been more specific, my bad.

Been watching streamers play as and against Ghoul and in my personal opinion he seems too strong currently. There just isn't a whole lot of options against him at majority of tiles/loops.
Have to agree here. Getting injured is basicly free. Even more free than with legion, as the Ghoul doesnt even have to catch up to you. If they catch up atfer injuring you, the cooldown is so short, that you often cant get to any pallet/window. If a killer can injure you basicly for free, there needs to be a trade of. Legion has to play m1 after injuring you. The Ghoul does not have to do that.
If im missing anything, please let me know. Right now, this feels too strong, sorry.

you just literally answered your own question with counters "not related only to Nurse".
Her counterplay relies in MACRO more than MICRO gameplay because she is such a macro oriented killer. That's why you will not see her counterplay being similar to counterplay to e.g. Blight, Spirit or Billy. And guess what, quite a big portion of players have bad macro knowledge.
And as i said, thinking Nurse is uncounterable purely relies on the "if killer can be countered in chase = counterable, otherwise uncounterable) mindset.
She has worse map traversal than Billy, Blight, Oni and now Kaneki btw.
She has incredible map traversal. If she takes the same route as those other killers, sure. But she doesnt. She goes through walls.
In regard to the counterplay you describe. Its not unique to Nurse. Its the same for most killers. So what unique counterplay are you talking about that is unique to nurse. The suggestions you provided dont add up.
-
@NarkoTri1er said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3903104#Comment_3903104
Nurse HAS counters, it's just the problem that average players try to seek counters for her in...chase. You don't play for chases against Nurse, same as with Oni in power for example (Nurse is weaker than Oni in power btw). Counters against Nurse are prerunning, LoS cutting and stealthing, going to a corner when you are about to get downed is an actual macro counter against every killer, Nurse too.
Only problem that truly makes her problematic and actually removes quite a portion of counterplay is her synergy with aura reading perks and that's easily fixable by making her suffer from Blindness during blink charging.
You barely made any point against my statement.
If you, as the survivor, are in range and the Nurse-player is on point, you WILL get hit. Thats her core design. She doesnt care about objects.- Pre running (works against almost ever killer / your not in range, therefore she cant get a hit regardless)
- LoS cutting (if shes on point this doesnt work. This objectively isnt counterplay because it 100% relies on the Nurse player not the survivor player)
- stealthing (fair enough / then again, this works against any killer to some extend)
So to summarize, your suggestions are either:
- not unique to nurse
- objectively not counterplay as it relies on the Nurse making a mistake
As you said, any form of aura reading ability even takes away LoS cutting and stealthing so… Where is the counterplay if the Nurse is good / sub-par with aura - perks?
We derailed the discussion though. Sorry.

i think he needs to become a 4.4 killer with longer token recharge + a bit more fatigue and he will be fine
They need to nerf his fatigue duration (it’s too fast), his speed addons, and his cooldown. It makes 0 sense why blight can hit u with 2 rushes and only have a 4 second cooldown. It’s actually insulting to the survivors how long him and nurse have been S tier dominating every match they play since their release.
disagree on speed addons tho, i think he should get them partially as basekit. Other changes to him are fine.
The only problems with Nurse are her synergy with aura perks and Heavy Panting addon. Other than that, she is in a pretty fine spot, but honestly, people will still consider her too strong because huge part of survivor playerbase doesn't understand how unique her counterplay is.
well, to be fair… Nurse has no realistic counterplay. If the player is on point and your in range, you get hit. No matter what you do. You can hope for auto-aim making her lunge into an object, but is that really counterplay?
BHVR already admitted, that against a nurse that is on point, there is not much you can do. Just run to a corner and try to go down there so that she wastes more time.
If shes not on point, then there is actually a lot you can do. I agree.

Thanks for the build I tried it a few times and I got one head pop. My only problem was that I constantly got gen rushed and that looping with her was quite frustrating. Respect to everyone maiming pig. It’s rough.
Nah man. Once you get the hang of it, its super natural and your chases will not take long.
I trust more in my chasing abilities on Pig than on any other killer. Same with headpops. Once you understand how to use the rbt´s properly, youll get headpops without specific addons or perks.
Pig is a great killer, she just has a strategic skill ceiling instead of a mechanical one (except moondash) which makes her stand out from the other killers (with some exceptions) if you want to learn her.

Firstly where did I say he was a child?
Learn to read.
Second it's a game. Pixels on a screen. He's not doing it in real life.
Third it's called a 4k. What do you want me to say that your tiny brain will comprehend?
Fourth he's on the Internet. So that makes it alright then.
Where does preaching to strangers come in?
Isn't that what reply is doing?
These replies sum up the idiots that post these type of comments in end game.
But I'll be sure to mention these replies to my work mate who set up a Christmas tree his son never got to see.
We do not condone the behavior you describe. @Feneroe already stated that.
If you are insulting us, because you cannot take any criticism on a public forum about the things you write, then I advice you to look into a mirror.
We here on this forum are generally against harassment that goes outside of the video game. Sadly most people playing this game are not as tolerant and respectful for their opponents as we are.
Please do not put us in the same box. Thank you. I hope that your child continues to not take these basement dwelling people seriously, as it's not worth their or your time. Changing these people is probably not possible and especially not right here on the forum.
The only thing that can be done is to report them for their nasty behavior.
