That’s debatable.
Apart from, hiding, breaking line of sight from Myers and ducking hatchets. Crouching does little else.
What do you care if someone button mashes at you rather than run away?
If survivors crouching is upsetting you then frankly its just you upsetting yourself, it can't hurt or oppress you in any real fashion, it can't even impact your play.
All the cost of BM'ing is born on the survivor who BM's.
They mash their equipment,
They waste their opportunities to make distance,
They burden themselves with a huge RSI strain on their digits especially console players. Look up the conditions trigger thumb and game keeper's thumb if you repeatedly BM that's your future so enjoy the gimpy claw hands.
Its like trying to take revenge and aggravate your opponent by punching yourself in the face, I say go ahead BM all you want.
Its just stupid and its not gonna force me to make mistakes because it doesn't provide any benefit in of itself. So why would I let it upset me?

Facecamping Bubba and Tombstone Myers are still both unfun and unfair
They don't bother me.
I think tombstone Myers is DBD at its best. Both to play and to face.

- To avoid survivors/killers dropping their MMR on purpose, incentives (rewards) for those who reach the "master" elo should be given (2 elos before, the limitation on group formation by survivors must already be activated, since "master" would be the last elo). The reward would work both (killer/survivor) to create a competitive queue stimulus and to limit unwanted behavior.
- The ranked mode would be more than just limiting groups or serving only to inflate egos, but to create healthier matches for both sides. if BHVR does a good job, ranked seasons may have map rotation (disabled by default), changes in map structures, as well as seasons that have perks disabled by default for both sides. A system for banning perks and maps by players can also be welcome. A way for always changing the meta at high MMR induced by BHVR.
ps: Other game-design improvements posteriorly should be reviewed, such as mandatory objectives more than just generators by survivors, as well as second chance mechanics (hook/basement/ECG -Doors/Hatch) Example: automatic respawn system after some time on the ground, avoinding slug/camp and same time killer doesn't wastes time with hooking or with flashlight saves), which implies several perks that use these systems being reworked.
Again I agree, I should clarify that I realise comp mode incentives would do more than just inflate egos, I'm just a pretty casual player with a deep seeded hatred of playing online, often its an un-necessarily negative experience. The egotism of pvp or mmo's is kinda inevitable so it was a lil jab at it nothing more.
Definitely a comp season might promote healthier game experience than just everyone grinding through the same rift all together. It probably won't fix a lot of the ingrained game problems such as people de-ranking to get easier opponents though but at least it could set some expectations game wise for the more serious players.
Personally all the problems in game would be solved for me if they implemented a custom offline mode against bots. I could play however I wanted and no ones feelings would get hurt and I wouldn't care. I don't really care now but that's more about having realistic expectations from game experience than any real maliciousness.
I'm torn on any kind of respawn scenario because the high threat/stakes elimination gameplay really makes DBD true to theme. There is no respawn death is not an escape, Its one thing I really like about it. On the other hand people get really pissy when they are eliminated something I've never understood as its a rather zero sum elimination game by default.

And if memory serves correctly, he only proxy camped the house and didn’t facecamp the hook. He only hooked one survivor once. And he only used the chainsaw during chase. Once on a wheelchair-bound survivor in the cornfield and the other time on Sally as she ran away. So should we disable his power outside of chase?
Because video game characters and design aren’t always exact replicas of the films, in case that somehow wasn’t clear to you...
But I can appreciate that fact it does replicate it to some extent, similar to Myers slow burn stalk playstyle, which is best represented by infinite T3 Judith's tombstone you stalk all game then slaughter everyone at the end, kinda like the film. I hope they never change it.
I'd also argue he doesn't proxy camp ######### because he never leaves the house, its more akin to insidious bubba than face camp bubba but really those terms are just splitting hairs for sore losers.
Being on theme doesn't mean mechanically identical to film replication. You know... in case somehow that wasn't clear to you. <- see what I did there? 😝

My honest opinion: DBD already has MMR, now devs need to enable a separate competitive mode that in the high MMR elo, limit the formation of squads/Trio, only Duos are allowed in Queue with similar MMR spectrum, and then killers will no longer see a rate of absurd coordination, giving the same treatment that games give to their pvp group players, like OW/Paladins, which makes it much more urgent here, since it's an asymmetrical game. Then Devs no longer have to think about balancing around SWF, and things can now finally be adjusted for SoloQ
Ps: Changes need to be done well, like modify lobby chat, disabling it for survivors, as well as their profile on steam (avoid sharing the link to external channels with communication). Leaving the match lobby, both for killer and for survivor, would immediately activate the DC penalty (to avoid people leaving and returning until they matched together as a squad or killer avoinding specific players.
I think your first point has some merit and would be interesting. Rather than trying to band aid buff solo survivor which just unbalances things more, tweak down the options available for SWF in regular play mode. Give full advantage to a competitive mode, I think competitive queue times would be huge though. You'd need some much larger reward for a comp queue or some kind of in game recognition for ego boosting bragging rights. It's kinda unhealthy game wise but often what comp player's crave.
You second point is a bit harsh. DC penalty for lobby dodging. If the MMR didn't throw less experienced players under the bus in the name of back filling sure but I know plenty of people who dodge the first lobby of the day simply because its usually already full and ready waiting with a grossly mismatched game. A ban for walking out on a game sure, a ban for walking out on a lobby ehhh bit much.

Don't survivors just have to return a tape and the bar goes down like 50%? Are they just daft after getting fully condemned?
That's what I thought its why I want the build, can't say I get many condemned Mori's. If there is a way that works even if it relies on opponent ignorance I'm willing to give it a go.

How was it buffed it didn't do anything to begin with?

Watch the original Texas chainsaw massacre.
Spoilers... he gets three kills in the shack that he never leaves then one more from a chase and the last gets away.
Leatherface is on exactly on theme, the original TCM is basically a template for a game of DBD.
I appreciate him for that and I hope they never change him.

If the survivors swarm the hook I just put someone on I'll slug and not even feel bad about it. If everyone is there I have no reason to leave anyways.
I'll also slug if there's only two people left and I know where the last guy is as I down the other.
I also slug a lot when I play Sadako as the only way I truly enjoy playing her is to get everyone fully condemned, so I run Ring Drawing and force pick ups for more spread. So far this has gotten me numerous 3k Stare Moris and three 4ks. Usually I only get one or two though, but it's still more fun than trying to loop with her. 0 hook 4k also feel extremely satisfying :D
Not to go off topic but... (EDIT: well we all know that's not true because I'm about to go off topic but "to cover my arse")
what's your Sadako build? I wanna try this.

The best pressure a killer can apply is eliminating a survivor. The quicker you do that the easier the game is. That's why you only need to tunnel out 1 player early because 3v1 is manageable but 4v1 can be a slog.
Just as survivors have figured out split up on gens to maximise pressure, killers have figured out eliminate someone ASAP to maximise pressure.
Telling someone hey "don't tunnel spread your hooks and focus on multiple survivors" is kinda the same as telling survivors "hey don't focus on multiple gens do them one at a time" Its nuts players are gonna do what they can to get maximum pressure if they want to win. You should expect it.
Where is the incentive to switch targets when the best thing you can do game wise is eliminate a survivor early. If you buff up survivors as a counter all you do is make chasing less viable and tunneling more a requirement to be competitive.
Its an elimination game sometimes you are gonna be eliminated early, if you keep getting eliminated early then maybe switch up your gameplay at match start, be a little more cautious and mindful.
I don't get tunneled out first often because hey I'm usually not the first person found.

Yep, they will nerf tp and "buff" his base kit in a way that he will remain weak and m1.
I wanted his update for a while but after seeing the treatment other m1 killers got, I doubt he will end up decent.
It is not a good trade off imo. Tombstone piece makes him a threat somewhat. Devs won't compensate for that.
Yeah I play Myer's more than any other killer and do well with him now so... I really don't want them to mess him up.
-
I lot of what gets complained about with bubba could be solved by making his saw single down, kinda like Billy.
Problem is the tantrum is too big of a drawback if you remove the multiple downs, so it would need to be reworked and bubba basically just becomes second Billy without the speed boost, which is meh.
I say leave him as is, he's scary to face when you're stuck in the basement.
A rescue against him isn't impossible its just hard if not well coordinated. Something solo queue will struggle with vs SWF. But again we hit the same problem of you shouldn't expect solo to be on par with swf competitively because swf is broken. A PUG will never equal a premade.
Go for the single trade over the 3 player all get downed hook bomb. Remember when hook trades were a thing, you had time to swap places on hook and still get stuff done and have a full match ah the glory days.

Probably shouldn't of taken the bait. Because you said endgame, and this commenter said EGC. They were changing the narrative of your comment.
Honestly Survivors should be escaping if they are still around during EGC. As far as making End Game more exciting for survivors - it already is, they still have to open one of two doors.
Yeah, I agree. EDIT: EGC is just the tail end of the endgame so it doesn't change the narrative enough to impact my point.
I still say NOED adds extra bite to even the most one sided game, that's why I like it. I don't actually run it much myself as killer but when I face it as survivor it always makes me smile. "Now we're talking" kind of reaction.
Do I go for the gate, search for the totem, do a high risk hook save or just run out the door and save my own butt? Tough choices make for interesting games.

And that’s why are so many killers here complaining. This is a video game, not a place where people who need to feel powerful against others come to kill them
Who said anything about killers feeling powerful, my comment is about survivor game experience. I don't get why survivors complain about NOED as its thematically great.
I think a lot of it is its a strong perk that activates at game end and the common reaction is I expected to escape and didn't boo hoo.
How debate/argument often works is the counter response is typically relevant to the point its responding to. Think about it and give it another try that'll be your homework eh. (<- this is snide and belittling but its meant to be because I have very little respect for you random online stranger, the exposition is just to make sure we are on the same page as you seem to struggle with topic 😅).
-
There is a bleed out timer its 4 mins OMG, seriously slugging for the 4k is just gameplay.
If the killer is walking around the map searching and your buddy isn't picking you up that's on them for being selfish not the killer for slugging.
I mean you're on the ground and your team mate is hiding in a locker somewhere yet its the killer who's being unreasonable.
I'd rather play against killers who were as vicious as they can be. Its survival horror not a tickle fight. Be merciless chase people down bleed them out. Its thematic and I appreciate every killer who does it because I want a survival horror film experience.
"I hate it when I get brutally murdered in an inconsiderate way" lol.

Well, create a perk for survs to make egc more exciting. Something with a speed boost and you have to hit them 3 times to put them in dying state
I realize this is just snide bait but lets bite anyway...
That doesn't make it more exciting, its survival horror not x-men. Survivors should be vulnerable in the endgame.
There are plenty of marvel themed games where the heroes always win and nothing surprising ever happens.
Who would watch a horror film where the antagonist is in no way threatening? DBD is basically recreating that setting. It baffles me that people want survivor to be uber godlike or even equal to the killer 1v1. Survivors are already at their best position during the egc because their objective is complete.
Also what you suggest already basically exists its called adrenalin.
The dumbest thing I've ever read on these forums is someone saying "they never feel safe as survivor" but its survival horror you're not meant to feel safe. The whole premise of the game is this isn't safe you need to get out before you get killed.
Why do you play this game if not for the theme of it?
If you want a watered down party game experience where all's friendly, equal and no one ever dies, play Fall Guys... its great I play a lot of it but its not DBD. Why people want to turn DBD into Fall Guys baffles me.
-
Some new skins from the new movies would be good, I like the current classic chase music though so I hope it stays the same.
All he needs survivors who are at max stalk slowly regain stalk so he has his power for a full game rather than running out.
It reverts back to maxed stalk when using his strong tombstone addons, that's all.
-
Most of the arguments against NOED are just salty players who didn't account for it and expected to escape.
NOED is great because it makes the endgame exciting. When survivors are at their strongest and are almost assured to escape, gates are 99'd or open there is this last threatening hurdle to face that makes the end game high stakes.
Its a great perk for that reason. Without the threat of death why are people even trying to escape in the first place, NOED is both mechanically and thematically great. Its the grand finale.
The other argument I see a lot is you have to account for it whether the killer has it or not but there are heaps of perks like that on both sides. I'm never surprised by NOED because I expect it just as I'm never surprised by DS, UB, DH because I expect those things to be in play.
I'm often more surprised when people don't have them rather than do.
If they nerf NOED it'll just be another nail in the coffin of this game's excitement.

With respect dude, I have played DBD for years and have chosen to have no "main" and play all killers. I actually refuse to play nurse as I thought and still do, that it should be removed from the game. The problem is survivors like you saying "get good". How about take away Deadhard, Borrowed time, Desisive Strike. These are your crutches
Why are you refusing to play nurse?
It boggles my mind the kind of rigid stubborn garbage people come up with about this game. Give her a try you might enjoy it.
it’s really weird.
-
I like clown he’s great.
He’s one of the few killers I have at P3 because the bloody clown face is just terrifying.
-
Yeah sadly.
Its been said, but again...
Close the end game chat, turn of platform messages or make your profile private.
Yeah after several years playing this on and off I can say that there is a disproportionate amount of hate from survivors than killers typically. Its definitely greater than the 4 to 1 ratio would account for.
Even when playing survivor you get killers who whine they didn't have fun or felt outmatched but you rarely get abuse, or at least they are rarely initiating the abuse its usually my fellow survivor players who are engaging in it or at least initiating it.
I'm not trying to make an us vs them post there is no us or them, play both sides otherwise you are missing half the game.
I just see a disproportionate amount of hate coming from angry survivors over angry killers post game.
Maybe its the mob mentality of survivor, you can all gang up on and vent your frustration at a solo opponent if there are other's who'll jump in with you and positively reinforce that bad behaviour. You notice how really crappy SWF streamers all feed on each others negative BS over their comms.
Often if someone is hurling abuse at me while playing survivor its another survivor who didn't like what I did in game, blaming everybody else for being trash and that's why we lost, usually they lay into the killer after that.
Most times you stomp a killer you get silence or GG and nothing more, but when survivors get stomped boy does the salt fly. You'd swear if you died in game you died in real life the way some of these people react. Its sad.
-
You gotta play to their strengths.
Yeah a number of killers could use some more QOL buffs but they are only really weak when you try and play them in the "expected" way. Committing to chases, trying to pressure multiple gens, mind game at loops etc.
Some killers excel at a 3gen defensive strat, Trapper, Hag, bubba. You lock down the basement as trapper whomever is down there is never getting out.
I play a lot of Myers he's my fav killer, Halloween is the quintessential slow burn slasher flick. Stack the deck run jumpscare and bring an indoor offering (I miss hawkins great jumpscare map). Tombstone piece and get a quick kill or infinite/judith's stack slowdown and go for the slaughter fest.
I think the only truly terrible killers are the ones that have no real insta down or rely on hit and run playstiles which have been gutted by COH, e.g. legion, pig, etc.
If you want to play the expected way anti loop and mobility is what you need. Then yeah more than half the roster kinda suck.

Yeah, I lower my MMR sometimes so I can play non-sweaty games, but even when I am throwing, I still give the survs a game or meme around so they can get their points and have some interaction.
I'm sure we all have at some point. Just get 4x BBQ stacks and then throw the game, kick gens, break stuff, slug people instead of getting hook No.3. There's no need to go AFK.
Maybe people get tired of smug survivors who think its their mad skills that got them the escape rather than the killer getting the BBQ stacks and then letting them go, half assing it while watching a movie in a side window.
I often stream a horror flick while playing DBD (for theme), get the stacks and then just focus on the movie while mucking about in game. People want to BM at the gates for the full EGC go for it I'm not even looking by that point.
-
@Munqaxus said:

My suggestion to survivors is do all the generators, open the gates and let the entity kill you. That way the AFK killer goes up in MMR.
Why bother? Sure report AFK killers for lack of participation, but really what do you care if someone is trying to lower their MMR?
It just comes off as spiteful and petty.
I get why people do it, you have to eat a lot of losses to get back to a balanced match if you are getting out matched constantly.
When you pile on the never ending hate and abuse you get from survivors just for playing the game, then really I can't blame people for wanting out of the sweats.
(Sure there are bad players on both sides but when I'm playing survivor I see 10X the amount of post game abuse, salt, meltdowns and childish spitefulness from fellow survivors than I do from killer players).

If you’re losing connection that often and choose to keep playing anyways, that’s on you. Sure, it’s not intentional. You’re still screwing the other 4 players whenever the internet cuts out. Same with going AFK for some legit reason that often. If you know you’re in a situation like that, that is on you.
I agree, it was more a response to the idea of setting the lock out at 20mins.
Personally I don't mind the accumulating lock out because A. I have a good connection that doesn't time out, B. I don't rage quit.

you have to go for an emergency? it'll probably take more than 20 minutes to resolve.
rage quit? go sit in the corner for two games.
Internet crapped out? That sucks, come back in 20 minutes when your internet stabilizes.
Yeah the accumulating penalty can be a bit harsh toward legit loss of connection or real need to go afk.
The shorter initial time isn’t a bad thing though, ramp up at 5 min intervals and cap at 20 mins.
Is that enough of a deterrent though?

You were the one using the word toxic, not me.
I also find it hilarious how you're saying I'm the one missing the "emotional maturity" when i'm not the one trying to make people's games boring because I lost in the games before". Can you explain that for us?
Sure let me explain it for you...
The toxic in this case extends to people upsetting themselves over not having a fun game. Wanting to impose your version of fun on everyone is not a healthy mindset to have. Making it a reason to get angry at the game is also unhealthy. Moreso than the unhealthy mindset the OP has about playstyles and toxicity. The OP wants to play "toxic" to punish survivors but the only thing toxic is their poor mindset about the game. Camping and tunneling are just gameplay.
Let me quote you "Why launch the game if you're not even playing it? Genuine question" Hate to say it but camping is still playing the game... genuine answer.
Why ask such a silly question when all it does is telegraph you have a idea of what "playing the game is" and that people who don't share that idea shouldn't play.
That's a recipe for upsetting yourself, upsetting yourself leads people to get aggressive over the game, which leads to people abusing and belittling others in a genuinely toxic manner.
I never said you misused the term toxic but rather given its the central theme of the post I pointed out its often misused. Its not all about you, but in reply I did point out how your approach the game is part of the problem. Fixing that problem starts with the player base growing up a little about how they react to gameplay.
-
The DC penalty is there to deter the very behaviour you are describing. i.e. The rage quit.
-
It only works out of spite because it’s often the obnoxious clicky clicky guy who gets all angry post game if you do camp them.
If everyone just took a chill pill and stopped taking it so seriously then camping wouldn’t be an issue and neither would BM and clicky folks.
Tilting your opponent can be effective though and it works well in DBD purely because of how childish people tend to be.
-
Because while there are genuine words that should be edited out because they are harmful and used to oppress others.
People are basically offended by everything these days. So the censor needs a wide net.
Everything is a personal attack and everything is offensive. Even GG isn’t a polite “good game” it’s a personal taunt designed to ruin your fun.
So censor it all because lil Timmy’s feelings got hurt and that’s the end of the world.
“Won’t somebody please think of the children!”
There is no 18+ anymore it’s all pg13, the cry babies have won.
Maybe they should implement the emoji responses only suggested by the questionnaire. The irony of giving people a smiley face sticker after brutally stabbing them to death in a video game because they died well is just comedy.
Pure comedy, but it’ll probably offend someone so we better censor the pictures.
-
While the OP scenario is an extreme one, its not uncommon for the 1st chase to cost half the survivor objective, 2-3 gens. Its really not that hard to do, all it takes is for you to split up on gens at game start. If you can hit skill checks consistently (which lets face it is pretty easy to do) its even easier.
The game is by no means over if that happens, but 1 hook for 3 gens can be an uphill battle if you don't snowball as killer applying really strong pressure in the late game.
If I've got everyone on 1st hook with 3-4 gens still up I'm typically laughing. More often I'm sweating to make up the pressure I've lost. 2-3 games of that sure but after 10 games of that in a row I'm kinda "eh I'm over this."
Couple that with all the abuse you take for eliminating someone early in an attempt apply the same pressure and it gets tiresome quickly. If people expect to burn through gens for permanent pressure they gotta expect the opponent to burn through hooks and eliminate someone for the same permanent pressure.
The best way to apply pressure as survivor is to split up, spread out and complete multiple far apart gens quickly. The best way to apply pressure as killer is to eliminate a survivor as quickly as possible.
Both these things are norms, not something to get angry over, but rather anticipated as a likely game scenario.
-
Its convenient to ignore the fact that the skill cap for killers is wildly varied but the skill cap for survivors is pretty static.
There is a fairly static style of gameplay to DBD, saying a killer isn't viable isn't the same as saying unplayable.
There are definitely killers in the roster who are worse at shutting down loops and applying wide spread map pressure. This doesn't make them unplayable but definitely makes them less viable in a flat meta where survivors can apply pressure across multiple gens consistently every game and know how to loop.
Yeah if you are good enough then you can do it but its a lot harder with some than others.
An equivalent would be barring some strong perks from some survivors and not others. There would be a mass migration of people who only play the strong perk survivors because hey its easier.
You have a point its about skill but the skill cap for killer is much more varied and as a result you see the same killers again and again in high level play.
-
More examples of the misuse of the term toxic.
Yes repeated flash light saves can be annoying but they are legit gameplay.
I don’t like them either but it doesn’t annoy me because I can just run lightborn so I don’t have to care about them. Or I play around them or I get hit by them and move on because hey I’m an adult and it doesn’t matter.
The counter post to all this is the use of slugging as a weapon, it’s again just part of the game.
You notice how everyone accuses each other of being angry and malicious as a justification for them being angry and childish.
Don’t assume what your opponent is thinking or their motivation because what will happen is you’ll cook up a little negative scenario in your head.
You’ll then use it to just upset yourself and not have fun and in future be crappy to others because of it.

casuals are often the biggest elists from what I've seen. They always try to force people to play the "fun" way or else they are just some "sweaty try hard".
Solo survivor is very viable, the problem is survivors in general are dumb and casual and rely so heavily on swf discord voice comms it's not even funny.
The game needs a text chat already so the devs can balance around the survivors having communication, instead of just pretending like they don't talk to eachother over comms most of the time.
Its just there is a disparity between what people expect from a game and what can happen in game.
When people don’t get what they expect/want they get upset and call the other side toxic.
It’s not toxic to try and win, it’s not toxic to be good at the game, it’s not toxic to play within the rules leveraging every advantage you can if you want.
I have an expectation of what I want from the game, I dislike obnoxious play, but just because I don’t like it doesn’t mean I get to dictate how other people have fun.
As an adult I enjoy the fun games and plow through the bad ones and move on.
It’s as simple as that.

Staying still is not playing the game. You don't really know what "toxic" means do you?
Ugh yeah I do and people like you misuse the term so often it’s lost all meaning.
I’ll tell you what it doesn’t mean “they played in a way I don’t like boo hoo”.
All players are still in play even if camping and being camped. I’m sorry you lack the emotional maturity to deal with that fact but that’s a you problem.

Staying still is not playing the game.
And yes I do blame you. Because the only people who get penalized by campers are solo players, not SWF, and you do make that decision yourself.
They are still playing the game it’s just not in the way you want them too. Frankly their mindset is less toxic than yours.
Seriously stop telling others how to play just because you get pissy and think it’s wrong when they don’t do it the way you think is right. That kind of mindset is part of the problem.

People miss being able to shut down killer builds by cleansing Ruin
Saboing and bodyblocking Scourge Hooks aint as easy as that, so ofc people are going to want it nerfed. Because killers are waking up to the fact that Ruin is over rated. Pain Resonance was literally mana from the heavens. It's the best thing we've gotten in a long time.
Killers are starved for time. Pain Resonance rewards us for focusing on our primary objective of killing. The more we try to kill, the more chances we get to kill.
It also promotes what a lot of players call "healthy" game play. You wanna get multiple hooks to get value out of it rather than sit and guard one hook till done.
The only thing with scourge hooks is the RNG can bite you in the butt sometimes and its not super hard to play around them because they are a rather static effect.
There is a real community mentality of nerf everything till I can just play how I want to play every game and never worry about anything.

Also, Lethal Pursuer instantaneously shows you every survivor’s location before they even touch a gen, and you can get to one of them of your choice in less than 7 seconds; Win the chase in less than 1min, hook em, and Resonance activates.
I agree, it isn’t about gen speeds at all.
LP, DL and Reso are plenty; it’s all about winning the 1st chase and getting that 1st hook as fast as possible.
Corrupt is effective early on, and my personal fav, the underrated Surge/Jolt is sneakily helpful.
Success greatly depends on how ppl receive criticism; I never needed anyone to tell me to “git gud,” I needed someone to teach me how to play better, and since I was willing to listen and learn, my game improved.
There are plenty of perks that can counter the so called "gen rush"
I think the disbalance comes from the scenario that a killer game can be decided in the first chase.
High mobility killers and survivor mistakes can swing this back but you need a serious snowball moment to recover from a bad 1st chase against efficient survivors who focus on gens.
I agree making gen times longer isn't really a solution, mobility and chase ending potential are.

1) A gaming PC is able to do more than just play Dead By Daylight
2) Video games are meant to be fun. If you are not having fun- which it really seems like you aren't from this post- then stop playing the video game causing you to not have fun.
Like, it's not rocket science; sometimes you just need a break and that's okay. You don't have to stop playing forever, but a couple days or a week off can do wonders for your enjoyment in DBD. Trust me.
There are other games out there- Stardew Valley has been keeping me going recently, Back 4 Blood just got a new update, Paladins is always my backup too; you don't have to play DBD and make yourself suffer in your free time.
1) That's what I've been doing wrong all this time. I'm broke and have 30 different laptops for all my games. It's all so obvious now! 😁

playing an easy 4k match is boring, playing a match where a survivor instead of running to loop runs in the open and gets downed in less than 10 seconds is boring
playing killer to increase MMR is boring
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2902867#Comment_2902867
1) wow really?
2) the problem is the cause of me not having fun is not because it's the game's or it's ballance fault but the matchmaking fault
3) taking a break would just decay my MMR, killers that I hardly played will still get potato survivors and after I come back after "break" the game would be still boring

IM NOT BURNT OUT

Guys.... I haven't been playing this game for years, a break isn't going to do ######### for me
You've racked up 1000 hours in a relatively short time then, that's a lot of crammed in game time, a scenario more conducive to burn out.
In more than 2 years I've racked up about 800 hours of DBD time because frankly it aint that big of a draw.
Scale it back and switch up what you do maybe you'll find it more fun. Sounds like a break or a change is exactly what you need but you refuse to admit it.
-
What's the most cryptic round about way I can say I don't think MMR works and I don't like it?
How can I then get really reactionary and defensive when people offer suggestions or help?
You do come off as burnt in your posts here, no matter how much you want to deny it.
Sheesh take a break if its that terrible.
-
like from old age?
I got another 60 years at least till I go can't get much slower than that.
Its bascially an insult that's wishing you a long life, I take it insults weren't their strong suit.

I think the mistake was giving blood point rewards for rank.
People were nuts about em before now they are extra nuts about em.
