This entire game has pretty much been run by survivor mains.

I think it's time we start getting mods with fresh perspectives.

Or more importantly, someone who isn't afraid to speak about how horribly balanced the game is.

That's not what a mod does or is supposed to do, mods act as impartial towards both sides, they also have nothing to do with game management or development.

If you look at the mods on here they don't post with any of that bias at all. They don't go into a thread and say well this thread is survivor biased lets bash them etc type of thing.

You got found in the first place dipshit. You done ######### up, now take the punishment of being chased by a Killer who’s powerful in the chase. What you want is to say “[BAD WORD] Stealth”.

You like so many Survivors want Stealth AND the chase to be super viable options at the same time. That not how it works. Each Killer has thier strength and weaknesses. Clown is most powerful in the chase, so don’t get into a chase at any cost. Other Killers are not so strong in the chase, so it’s fine to be chased more often. Seriously, you need to adjust your play style based on what Killer you’re facing.

Whats the damn point of Killers with different powers, different strengths and weaknesses, if you just play the same way against all of them and it works every single time? Stop trying to whine and complain being chased by Clown is harder and adjust you play style to be more careful and sneaky.

This is like people complaining you have to crouch more with Hag, watch your step with Trapper, or be better at Looping with Freddy.

For me personally I'd rather have it go completely stealth based and not how much you can loop the killer in one spot. You'll have options in a chase but it's a last resort type of thing not hey let me look for the best looping spot.

  • @Mringasa The devs are trying to buff solo q up to where swf are in terms of map awareness etc so that they can then buff killers to that level.

Honestly, survivors are probably thinking the same thing I do when I play survivor.

Which is hog as many points as you can get.

Makes sense if you play by yourself.

Just a idea, I would like to see the trapper and wraith get a new mori, they are bland and boring.
Trapper: trapper places trap on the ground and forces the survivors face into said trap.

Wraith: survivor gets up from dying state looking around for the cloaked Wraith. Wraith takes his blade and places it on the survivors throught, as he decloaks he slits the survivors throught.

I'd actually suggested something similar but with a twist, he goes 1, 2,3 type of thing where he bobs them up and down then drops them into it face 1st. But to make it even more a scary mori the survivor would see it looking from upside down. (That might not work due to motion sickness issues) The claws of the trap would go into their eye sockets and they'd see them coming from that viewpoint.

Well I have no life being retired with 2 sons in college and single forever. Besides quite a few of those discussions and comments are about ways to help killers out. About half the rest of my comments are probably under the sarcastic section.

Perhaps the killer was hacking, exploiting, just being a total jerk and tunneling them and only them while letting everyone else farm. There's countless reasons why and perhaps they're also doing it to go after their fellow survivors that sandbagged them.

Their could be many reasons not just because their salty and trash which is ironic since killers rage quit all the time because they either didn't get a kill. Didn't get more than 1 kill or the survivors are about to exit so they instant quit so they don't actually make it out.

There is literally 0 reason to DC as a survivor on the last hook though, if you think someone is genuinley hacking, record it and then disconnect immediatley anyway. (Not that actual hackers are very common.) Again, if the killer is working with survivors and killing you, thats reportable, but lets be real, isnt happening in every game.

If your a survivor, you just die. Take the loss, if your about to be hooked you are going to be out of the game just as quickly suiciding on the hook as you are disconnecting. Not defending killers disconnecting either, but at least if a killer is being "bullied" and can't get a single hook, they are d/cing more just to end the game than anything else, may as well just go afk.

Oh I agree, just giving multiple reasons why it could happen, just might even be a non intentional dc like a game crash. Which has happened to me where it just randomly crashes for no reason. doing a gen, running, getting hit and being pushed forward.

Although those are extremely rare to happen, real life is one as well.

  • Just to clarify about being op, they're op in how much they can affect a game due to how easy they are to get was my point. If they were truly only seen in 1 in 500 games then with black wards and as my post said so easy to obtain they wouldn't be so op.

If people couldn't just stockpile a horde of them once they hit P3 and have everything or everything on chars they want to play. As it is now I've had killers state they've got a stockpile and I've managed to go through and get some good stuff on my P3 Claudette although her bloodwebs don't see as generous.

On my P1 Trapper, his bloodwebs after the rework did improve and I tended to get more ultra rares with ease just from rolling it over. But the point is that they can't even be considered ultra rare with how easy they are to get.

But... they’re ultra rare... and only encountered in like 1 of every 500 matches or so... they’re rare... they’re fun...

Wait what? I've run into Huntresses with iridescent and black wards in 6 straight matches against that killer. I asked afterwards and they said they ahd 19 yes 19 more iridescents in inventory after they ran out of black wards.

I run into the same Clowns/Doctors/Huntresses/Hags etc all having ultra rare addons match after match. Once you hit P3 and have everything you can get an endless supply of ultra rares.

They're like candy now since they're so easy to get once you've gotten to that point it's like a common in the bloodweb.

The only ways to mitigate it are to make remove wards from the game, make it so that you can't use an ultra rare more than 1x in every 20 games. Make it so that wards can't be used on ultra rares, change their effects to not be so op or remove them from the game.

They're not OP. Every killer ultra-rare add-on has at least one counter or exploitable drawback, be it direct, indirect, soft, hard, or all of the above. Name one that has no counter and explain how it has no counter, then I'll believe that they're OP. Remember, you have to prove your point to be correct before anyone has to present a structured argument to challenge or disprove it.

So you ask me to prove my point but refuse to back up yours 1st. So post what each one has as a counter and or exploitable drawback if you want to be taken seriously.

Cough tinkerer nerf for huntress and billy. Killers are getting nerfed but it is the killers who are strong who are being nerfed as well as opposed to the weaker ones who are sorta getting nerfed as well. With the pallet change faster drops are gonna make mindgaming pallets way more difficult but well have to see how that turns out. Also trappers "buff" came with some serious consequnces i.e. A nerf to his trap collision radius which makes blocking some areas with traps impossible if the surviour moves to the edge of the trap.

But you have to play these killers to pick up on this so im not suprised you missed that. Patch changes have things called stealth nerfs you need to pay close attention to these if you want your opinion to be taken seriously.

Bahahaha, tinker nerf was needed since it was broken and killers are getting nerfed yet buffed. Weaker ones getting nerfed wait what? Wraith getting huge buffs, Freddy getting his long overdue rework.

So now the argument becomes I have to play these killers, do you even read what you type before posting such utter nonsense? I main Trapper and Pig, I play Billy and Huntress and yes I play Nurse and Leatherface.

Oh and I also play stealthy so now you've got to come up with a new bag of insults and excuses to try and debate with.

  • The issue with vote kicking is the same that's happened in every other game, it gets abused by people wanting only someone they like or meta picks.

I've always wanted to be able to set a reasonable ping limit so that if say an 80 ping person joins (yes it's happened and they didn't get kicked). That the game would auto kick them and only them a reasonable limit would be 250 ping but it'd have to be constant.

But not where it's checking for EAC authentication and spikes then lowers once it gets a response. that'd be a reasonable limit. Which would also allowing people to connect and verify since it also tends to spike for everyone when someone joins.

The other issue with ping is that killers love to alt tab and check profiles to see how many achievements someone has before deciding to dodge etc. That always spikes everyone' s ping up as well, add in if the person a streamer etc.

(off topic they need to hide names in chat so streamers don't get sniped and killers can't dodge because they don't like someone. It'd also keep people from dodging in lobby because they don't like who's there.)

    Show me where I said:

    I have stats.

Apologies you got quoted by accident when I had 2 tabs open for comparison. It was another poster claiming they had stats and claimed it to be so.

The devs stats are wrong (not misrepresented as was their initial explanation of the SC pick rate).

I actually wasn't referring to that with my response but another stat.

"@Master and @Orion have both used those stats in their arguments but neither one of them is in here doing the stuff you and a few others are doing. They're not suddenly changing their argument to say the devs stats were wrong and they were lying just to suit their new arguments."

Also feel free to show me where my initial "argument" is and where it changed, particularly if you're going to label people as liars / accuse others of doing so and are quoting me, directly.

I'm not labeling people liars nor you and again see above about stats since that was a misquote attributed to you.

It doesn't really matter, though as
"and if they said it had 75% chance you'd believe it because it fits your narrative, you only believe stuff if it pushes your buttons and you like the outcome"
and your direct defense of it shows that you don't care what people type, and I'd be surprised if you read a portion of the things you "respond" to.

    Best Community.

Actually that's incorrect, I'll believe data that they have over made up stats someone else puts out. Also if you're going to accuse me of that you're also accusing every killer main on here that's used those stats.

So in other words @Orion @SovererignKing @Tsulan @Master I could add another 20-50 + to this list that all go by that number. We all go by those numbers until we have new updated numbers. The fact you'd resort to that type of argument to buttress yours shows who doesn't really care.

If you really think I don't read everything then you've obviously been the one not reading. Because everyone on here misquotes someone from time to time and we apologize the moment it's pointed out to us. If you'd actually even read a bunch of my posts you'd know this.

  • @Raccoon said:
(Take a free Awesome for being capable of civil discourse) :3

If every single person in the game, for a fact, brought Self-Care into a match, I'd expect to be told that there is a 100% chance I am facing it and not that there is a "25% chance it MAY be selected" in a particular load-out slot.

If you're stating that it has a 21/25 * 100 chance of being selected throughout the entire loadout, than that makes a lot more sense than someone just throwing out the 21%, and it should have been initially presented as such.

That's a much better explanation than any so far.

  • That was after the killer was camping both the hatch area and the shortest route to exit gate and abusing the Windstorm addon exploit to heck. NOED was active and I was on far side of map when he found me from gate, I managed to evade him then after a chase got out.

I get killers saying this or worse if you or someone gets outs about the same on average as I do survivors being salty in post game chat. I could post some really bad stuff if the mods allowed it to show just how bad both sides can be.

But that's what the report option is for and with the new system it'll be that much more effective. You can trash talk if it's done right like say if the killer camped you. You might say did you forget to bring a tent for your camp? I brought the Marshmallows and Chocolate, but you didn't bring the Graham Crackers.

You'll get a last almost all the time with stuff like that, and you can tell them you almost found their totem, or where was it/hatch at etc.

But adding salt from either side just leads to more salt in future matches.

  • Well add to that the Wraiths using it to spam cloak/uncloak with windstorm multiple times a second or just spam it faster than it should normally work. They use it to flashlight auto click as well since I've had the same ones in both lobbies after reset.

  • @Raccoon said:

Is that your attempt at disproving a factual statement?

Using hypothetical, 3rd-party projected, anecdotal evidence?

    Dig deep, brother.

It's hilarious that now some of you killer mains are discounting the stats from the devs but had no issues what their stats when using it to support your arguments.

@Master and @Orion have both used those stats in their arguments but neither one of them is in here doing the stuff you and a few others are doing. They're not suddenly changing their argument to say the devs stats were wrong and they were lying just to suit their new arguments.

They did both say the same thing I said which I'd agreed with them was that the numbers have probably changed. But they also haven't said they have hard and fast facts like you've done. You've proved nothing other than that like some on both sides you'll throw numbers out there as facts.

So show us how you came up with these so called facts, what experiment process did you use, how did you account for variables? What did you use to counter YOUR PERSONAL BIASES? Did you follow the best procedures for conducting your experiment to make it as UNBIASED as possible.

I'm sure you've done all of it proper of course since if we're to trust you then you've obviously got the proof to back up your claims.

Ye, I wouldn't take them seriously, as I have shown, the pure solo players take only 14%,while the rest of 86% of games contain some sort of SWF present in them.
I'm afraid the solo numbers are even lower now, that's why I want to continue doing stats like these.
Remember how they wanted to obfuscate how much self care is used by making it a percentage of a perk slot rather than whole loadout?

You can't say pure solo takes only 14% because you haven't actually shown anything since you don't work for BHVR. Thus you don't have any actual data to back up your claims.

Those are numbers the devs posted on a stream from data they'd collected. These are also the numbers everyone has accepted as current until they post the new updated stats.

While numbers have probably changed we don't know what the exact numbers are so people saying it's x are blowing numbers out of you know where. 😜

But because of you doing your objective your perk became weaker. The same is true for other perks, they become weaker by doing objectives.

Wglf is not negatively impacted by doing your objective. It's simply a point booster for doing an optional secondary objective. Do gens and escape. That is the survivor objective. Boxes, totems, and saves are secondary and not essential win conditions.
If doing a gen took away your wglf tokens, then we'd have an apples to apples comparison.

It doesn't negate my pijt, doing the objective makes your perk weaker no matter how you look at it. By equipping it you're counting on getting lots of unhooks but if the match ends quickly then you wasted it.

Rather than rush gens to punish the camper, these survivors would rather the devs punish the campers. To them, its much easier to pawn the problem onto someone else than it is to adapt.

The issue is that camping is way too profitable for the killer, even highly experienced killers will camp when it's a good map for them. You also have an issue with newer players not understanding the best way to counter it is to gen rush.

I equate camping with training wheels the same as killers do for DS, you'll never get good unless you learn how to play. That's why ranks 1-5 get people who play like level 20 on both sides because they keep the training wheels on.

it is called bad rng for you my friend

    ?????

RNG - Random Number Generator, a term coined in MMORPGS (such as World of Warcraft) that basically mean you have bad luck.

Story of my rng life, my bad luck is legendary.

All because so many lazy players find it too hard to walk away and hold M1 for 80 seconds on a Generator.

That's how I handle the hatch as a survivor, and to date it's only resulted in me getting caught ONCE. (killer was running Tinkerer and I hadn't caught on - completely my fault and I deserved to get caught) Every other time? the gen pops or I miss a skill check. I then stealth past the killer coming to investigate and get the hatch.

But that's just so hard for everybody else to do.... >_<

That's the point, 3 generators is 180 seconds of skill check simulator. I want a better end game than just walking away from the killer because currently, it's just boring to just do skill checks.

Oh, I couldn't walked away with No Mither... The moment that I would walk away is when he could just down me and I would be too far from the hatch lol. However, nevertheless, it's was a fun game but the end game is meh lol.

3 generators is actually 240 seconds, but you would only have to do 80.

It's my experience most killers come a lookin' for you if you miss one skill check or pop the gen - because at that point they figure you don't know where the hatch is or they realize you aren't going to do a standoff with them. You then have the opportunity to stealth past them.

Either way, the hatch stand-off is 100% preventable by survivors, but most of them are too lazy to do what it takes.

Your reply only proved my point.

Huntress ranged hits, Nurse, Billy all can prevent you from doing that gen so it's not solely preventable by survivors. I got nailed a by a Warith trying to stealth to hatch after getting his attention someplace else. I got caught because Meg's breathing after UE ing around him was too loud.

I've done gens due to killers camping hatch only to get nailed by said above killers, it's even worse when you have 2 gens to choose from and both are near where the hatch ends up spawning.

Billy, Nurse, Huntress and Doctor all cause major issues trying to do that one gen. If your team gets wrecked quickly and killer has Ruin and or Bitter or any other perks you're screwed.

Well that'll certainly be one less thing for certain whiny killer mains to complain about on here. The only real question is which survivor will they use as an excuse next? 😜

Just annoying every time they come out with a new map, I have to memorize another set of “usual P3 Claudette natural habitats.”

Actually as a Claudette/Meg main I have no issues for the most aprt finding Claudette's, it's the Fengs with dark outfits. The P3 Legacy players and the Quentin P3's since they blend in better than Claudette.

  • @Vankruze Are you reporting them if it's post game toxicity since they won't change if you don't? As far as in game if you're toxic then that leads to them being toxic to someone else etc, especially in such a small region as you say.

But with region lock removal you should be getting more people since i've gotten matched with people from Aus/NZ and even as far away as China.

Killer's are tired of it and will dodge and so they should. Not only are they the most toxic but using voice coms creates an unfair advantage. I'd be dodging too unless pink mori.

    4 strangers = 30%
    2 friends + 2 strangers = 34.1%
    2 friends + 2 friends = 9.5%
    3 friends + 1 stranger = 17.9%
    4 friends = 8.5%

How do you know they're the most toxic, do you have stats to back this up or is this from personal experience? Were all these personal experiences actually toxic sfw groups or did something bad happen in a prior game(s) that colored your perception of other matches?

We tend to remember the bad things more and this colors other things that might not be bad but we think they are. Most swf and killer and survivors are by and large good people and occasionally good people will have a bad night.

While they might be toxic that one game they're on average not toxic overall and there's been actual studies done on toxicity in online games by MIT.

You can't paint a entire group as toxic without having actual facts to back it up anymore than someone on here can say all killers are whiny entitled children.

We all know there's toxic groups out there, it happens and it's going to happen, just the same as there's toxic killers and solo survivors. It doesn't make everyone bad, just those people that're toxic.

The current state. Don't think it needs tokens. The healing to counter it is fine because now killers have mangled on sloppy butcher and coulrophobia. The biggest issue is that once dead the debuff no longer applies. Rewarding a killer for doing a good job by making the perk more powerful over time is how it should be, you shouldn't lose stacks for killing, which is the killers job.

The killer already gets rewarded for killing, they get bp, they reduce available survivors by 1 each time and thus increase the time it takes to get things done. You took a chance on taking that perk, just as a survivor takes a chance on Adrenaline being there at the very end.

If the new kobe perk gets taken you're taking a choice on not being the 1st hooked and hoping you get to use it. You don't get rewarded for getting hooked 1st and now that perk choice is wasted. Thanatobia isn't meant to reward you for killing anyone.

  • @Vankruze said:
Literally any totem perk since they can communicate with each other exactly where they all are at any given time, 1 person spots the hex totem? immediately the entire team now knows = unfair advantage. Also they tend to count totems as a group over coms to ensure noed doesn't proc. Also they will all know where each other are at any time just by speaking so they've all now got super bond perk without having to use a perk slot = unfair advantage.

    4 strangers = 30%
    2 friends + 2 strangers = 34.1%
    2 friends + 2 friends = 9.5%
    3 friends + 1 stranger = 17.9%
    4 friends = 8.5%

So one person spots the totem and the whole team know, that can only happen 8.5% of the time and 30% of the time it's complete solo q.

64.1% of the time it's 2 randoms and 2 swf, kill 1 swf well no more comms from the dead person other than what they already saw. But magically all those solo queue players are in voice comms and talking and sharing info.

  • Well that'll certainly be one less thing for certain whiny killer mains to complain about on here. The only real question is which survivor will they use as an excuse next? 😜
