I really love statistics, so I like to keep track of mine from time to time. I hope devs will soon add this information to the profile along with customization to make it easier to track. Meanwhile, I propose to share your statistics here, whatever you want. (But i will really glad to see statistic for both sides) I will start:

Bugs after bugs, lag after lag, crash after crash. Is this a never ending repeating cycle? I never seen any other game that is as worse as dead by daylight. There are live service game who has far less bugs than this so how is this acceptable?

honestly i fear it’s just how dbd is and it’s current engine and overrided game files. VSync is automatically set to true and your FPS is capped to 30-60 by default. VSync is the true deal breaker on why connection issues are so terrible, and you have to actually edit ingame files to actually be able to turn it off and cap your FPS to 120. why 120 you ask and not like 144 or 165? because dbd’s current game engine is only able to be capped at 120 fps max.

BHVR needs to completely shift dbd to a new modern engine and make a FPS slider along with the ability to turn VSync on and off. i noticed that when i turned VSync off and capped my FPS at 120, it felt so smooth and amazing and internet issues got even more stable instead of being weird. though, because i go against console players and most likely PC players that have VSync on and are capped at 60 fps, it makes it seem like i get hit VERY weirdly.

Seriously, how do you expect people to be altruistic in solo survivor? Nerfing healing into oblivion for solo survivors was a horrible decision, make it 50% or a lil higher bc right now it's in a horrible spot

50% would be suffice. self-care hasn't even been meta since its nerf from 80% to 50%. now that medkits got nerfed, nerfing self-care was a weird thing to do as it wasn't even that powerful. or i just got the timeline between those changes wrong, most likely. but putting self care back to 50% would definitely feel better

also if someone would be kind enough to tell me, how is self-care calculated? im bad at math and i have difficulty reading things, but it says it heals at 35% of the healing speed instead of 50%, so wouldn't that be 32.4 seconds instead of 36s? it never seemed that way, and i was always curious on how it works. or if the devs just worded it badly.

I kinda think he needs the treatment that Ghostface recently got a couple patches ago with some basekit & add-on buffs. Maybe reduce the amount of Stalk required to reach tier 2 & 3 evil within? Something to help him not be so slow early game would be the right way to go about it imo. What do y’all think?

what he ACTUALLY needs are these

    • Evil Within I now needs 3 stalk points to level up to tier II down from the previous 5
    • Evil Within no longer has a stalking limit on survivor's (better way of saying this is every survivor in the trial now has a maximum of 200 stalk points michael can leech off them, instead of 10.1)
    • Tombstone Piece is removed in favor of a new purple addon, or is straight up reworked because it is not healthy.

all of these changes would be 100% beneficial for his gameplay and make him feel better to play as and less restricting. ghostface is jsut a better myers, and removing the stalk limit will help his power level by amazing levels as he wont have the possibility to not be able to use his power.

trying to hold back judgement till i played against her

And wow genuinely one of the most unenjoyable experiences ive had with this game, still not as bad as skull merchant

but i genuinely felt like I couldn't do anything

i felt like i had to go back and forth the whole game just to not get mori, very fun and engaging gameplay

i just played against the new onyro rn and it was unbelievably easy. wanna know why? i just picked up a tape.

incase you want a more in-depth explanation, i picked up a tape. i did gens by myself and sometimes wit others, she DID hit me and hooked me, but that didn't stop me from getting a tape. i got healed, got a tape, and we were at 2 gens. i saw nea was condemned and got chased, she got downed and i completed my gen and she got mori'd. she got mori'd because she refused to pick up a tape, and so she died. i thought to myself "huh, if i put the tape in rn, and she tps, ill get a stack. let me just wait until she tp's" and nick cage decided to insert his tape infront of me. good thing i thought because next thing you know, he gets a stack and i dont. THEN i insert the tape and get rid of my 2 stacks. then, the last gen got done and i got out.

its as simple as that, you grab a tape, boom you completely remove her power from yourself. they literally decided to make CURSED tapes a protection tool instead of an actual CURSED tape.

This is one area where I don't understand why the survivors need to have extra help in escaping. The timer should be continuous regardless of survivor status.

I've had a few people in the last week using Plot Twist as a way to slow the timer down, giving their team time to heal and go for an escape.

The devs have said the EGC is not there to help killers get kills, therefore the timer should not change in order to help survivors get escapes (and yes, they specifically said the reason for slowing the timer was to help survivors make endgame plays for escapes).

so your getting mad because survivors are using a perk to.. help secure end game escapes? quite literally with what you said in your post is the point of the end game collapse timer being slowed?

  • why not make it similar to the doctor? the pallets still light up with auras via perks, BUT, you can tell if its fake because of bits and pieces of the broken pallet laying on the floor. this is what i mean

Tbf Ghostface and Myers are also stealth killers who can be seen within 24 meters. But of course they don’t turn semi-invisible.

i honestly dont see myers as a stealth killer since his stealth is only in tier 1, which if you stay in it all game then your just actively not trying. but ghostface? sure, you can see him anywhere, but you wont ever know if hes around you while hes in stalk. at least with sadako you can still see her when shes within 24 meters of you, whether shes semi-invisible or not. the information that you can see her, makes you know shes coming to you and you can rush to a pallet or window while shes trying to manifest (making her slower than the nurse fyi). removing her lullaby is really not this big of a deal

  • @biggybiggybiggens said:

Would Dream Pallets by default really make Freddy that much higher in the tiers? I mean even his basic description on the DBD website says he can create Dream Pallets.. That is the only character they mention doing something he can't actually do by default. Those require an add-on from what I remember. Kind of misleading...

Imagine being a new player. You'd have no idea how to make these "Dream Pallets" they speak of.

i think both should be in his basekit yes, it'll help bring his power level up at least a tiny bit since he has more to do in chases. along with being more fun to play. it should work the same way aswell too, where if your able to place a dream pallet, just press M2. if you wanna drop a snare, just do the normal thing with M2. they really shouldn't collide with each other in chases nor anywhere else.

The game is so poorly optimized for modern tech. If you're going to cap us on 120fps at least let our GPU put in some work... Making hair look more realistic wold be a nice start.

no surprise there, as dbd is run on a pretty weird or crappy engine lol. honestly i would be up for this huge movement for the game where the devs decide to completely shift to a new modern engine, as they'll be able to have more graphics options along with the probability of literally better graphic visuals in general. the new lighting in the recent update looks so awful.

Ghostface: you can hear his rags flying around

Wraith: he has loud step noises and the growling

Pig: her breath is the loudest of the bunch, probably louder than Myers

and as i clearly said, you can hear her manifesting/de-manifesting as it creates this loud horrific screeching sound. also btw, you can see her within 24 meters incase ya didn't know. sadako is still very easily countered, and her chase value is pretty awful. thats why its so popular to hit and run with her. and grab a tape to prevent her from using her power, the lullaby is awful and it ruins the experience of her being a stealth killer. i cannot tell you how many times i get excited its a sadako, then the horror aspect of her character is gone because my heartbeat visual gives her position away. and no, i am not gonna turn it off because i need it specifically because i blast music lol

  • @CatnipLove said:

Huntress has a lullaby specifically so she's not a stealth killer. Otherwise she could see you across the map and hatchet you without you having any idea she's there. The lullaby just let's you know she's in a range so you have a heads up.

thats because huntress isn't a stealth killer. she never has been one, plus, she has a lullaby because she is a long range killer. mean while, sadako has 0 long range abilities, barely any chase potential, and her power quite literally gets hard countered by picking up a tape. if you want to nerf her, then at LEAST remove her lullaby completely as it serves absolutely no purpose besides nullifying her status as a stealth killer. its like when they nerfed pigs terror radius from 28m to 32 to "match all 4.6 speed killers" even though sadako moves at 4.6 and has a 24m radius. that terror radius nerf completely made her an awful killer since she had a much harder time sneaking up on survivors.

god you could not be anymore wrong could you? every stealth killer doesn’t have a lullaby to give away their position. ghostface, wraith, pig, and other stealth killers don’t have lullabies because they are STEALTH KILLERS. sure you can say “oh but pig has that roar!!” “oh wraith has his breathing!!” okay? well sadako has the screeching whenever she’s phasing, sadako is able to be seen within 24 meters too.

she does not need and should not have a lullaby, it ruins her aspect of a stealth killer.

Yeah, she should have her lullaby removed. Once they added the visual TR, her stealth was crippled.

I'm assuming they walk these recent changes back quite a bit, but you have give her something (but fair) in return.

the only reason why people are calling her so strong is because of iri tape & mothers comb being the best addon combo for her. mothers comb is fine, but iri tape isn't. it applies too much pressure THAT i agree with, but if we change iri tape she NEEDS to have better chase potential and her lullaby removed, or else she's gonna go back to being D tier

to me, the only thing she needs is to change how iri tape works, and remove her god DAMN LULLABY!!!! iri tape is the one addon that makes the playstyle so boring or so frustrating to go against, since her rework is NOT supposed to be played like how she was originally because it would be crazy strong, well, this is why its crazy strong lol. just nerf/rework iri tape and remove her lullaby so she can be an actual stealth killer and she'll be good to go

please stop being in denial that the survivor meta hasn't changed since 2017 i showed u the video evidence you're just coping at this point. this discussion is over

you can believe its over, but its not. i agree that SOME perks from 2017 are still meta, but most of them aren't. adrenaline, is still meta, SB too. but BT, DS, BL, and multiple others aren't anymore. DH fell from being hard meta to just a good perk, unbreakable is a good perk, but it is NOT meta and is very situational. also,

a 7 month old video of otzdarva saying stuff, is not ANY indicator that anything is still meta, since its outdated and we've had multiple patches ever since 7 months ago. give it up, your wrong.

    1. adrenaline is still meta
    2. Base kit BT isn't "meta" and yet is used in every game ok bud makes sense to me
    3. SB got replaced by another perk that's also been meta since 2017? that makes 0 sense
    4. Ruin was fine do the bones
    5. what does this screenshot have to do with meta perks?

I'm not mad i'm just disapointed that you're trying to pretend survivors haven't been using the same perks since 2017

    1. i never said it wasn't
    2. BT is not meta, nor can anything basekit be meta as its literally forced. stop twisting my words
    3. yes it has
    4. ruin was not fine, it was meta for EVERY killer, it was suggested that if you didnt have ruin you were going to have a horrible time, thus, base gen speeds got increased and ruin got nerfed
    5. the screenshot doesnt got anything to do with meta perks, if you actually read what i said, i said ruin got rightfully nerfed because gen speeds got increased globally. and i provided my proof that it did, along with kicking gens becoming actually useful since kicking them only regressed, instead of reducing X progress.

please read carefully, reading is essential

adrenaline is STILL META it came out in 2017 AND IS STILL META

BT is base kit and IS STILL META AGAIN IT, CAME OUT IN 2017

LITHE ISN'T "PROBABLY" STILL META, IT IS THAT'S SURVIVORS STILL USE IT AS MUCH THE OTHER EXHAUSTION PERKS

SB HAS ALSO BEEN META SINCE 2017 AND HASN'T BEEN TOUCHED AT ALL

MEANWHILE RUIN UNDYING? NERFED LESS THAN A WEEK

COB ERUPTION ? NERFED REAL QUICK

killer meta has changed far more often than survivor meta has that's just the facts

woah there why dont you eat a snickers bar, you seem very angry since your throwing a fit over survivor metas. let me cover this for you my dude,

adrenaline is still meta, yes. but it hasn't gotten nerfed for a REASON. that reason, is because it basically removes a perk slot until the endgame, in which its literally only active for 5 seconds and gives you exhaustion making your 2nd exhaustion perk unable to be used. the only thing i wish it didn't do was wake up a survivor from freddys dream world. but not that many people run it because of the 50/50 chance, but if your good enough and you know it, its good to run adren

BT is basekit, not meta. its definitely a good perk to have, but it is certainly not meta. MFT, SB, adren, are all used 10x more than BT ever was ever since the basekit BT addition.

SB has been meta since 2017, but later got replaced in 2020-23 with deadhard until the deadhard nerfs in which sprint burst is meta again, i think. i honestly dont see SB that often

your excuse for lithe being meta bc "its used like any other exhaustion perk" means literally nothing. lithe is a great tool to use for gaining distance, like sprint burst, it doesn't even give you a 2nd life. lithe and SB are used equally i would say, but both can't be meta at the same time since you can't run 2 exhaustion perks.

ruin in 2017 was broken, ruin with 200% regress speed was WAY too strong, so it got nerfed. all those gen regress perk nerfs got nerfed BECAUSE of the fact that, GUESS WHAT? generator speeds got increased from 80s to 90!! shocker right? its like, your SUPPOSED to nerf gen regression perks if the base speeds got increased along with kicking gens now actually reduces progress by 2.5%, and then regresses. incase you don't believe me, heres proof!!

    image.png

please take a long break if its getting you this mad that you have to yell at other people who quite literally said nothing wrong.

    and for the record,

1 self care was never meta

2 unbreakle is still good and hasn't been touched at ALL

DS is your only good example here

i also like how didn't adress the 4 perks i brought up players just be in denial

well for 1 i didnt bother looking into the thread more after your ridiculous comment, and yes self care was meta before it got nerfed, as you could pretty much heal mid-chase and heal up quite fast, it was really popular actually! with the build of Adren/DS/Self Care/Dead Hard or SB. but since you wanna get an attitude with me and assume, ill respond to your other comment aswell

adrenaline to this day is an off and on perk, as yes its very strong, but is it really worth it to lose a perk slot ALL game just incase of a 50/50? BT was meta back in 2017 too, not that often you see it anymore since its basekit. lithe is probably meta rn sure, but it wasn't meta back in 2017 since you could run dead hard, or sprint burst. sprint burst is meta yes, but it actually lost its meta status in i believe 2021-2023 until dead hard received its nerfs, making sprint burst one of the most common exhaustion perks you see

and girl, bffr, balanced landing was meta in like, 2019. when it received the nerf where the stagger reduction only happens when your not exhausted, the perk is barely run anymore. if anything Windows, MFT, SB, and adrenaline/kindred are more meta than any of the perks you mentioned. unless, life balanced isn't balanced landing, in which, life balanced is not even a perk.

Yeah, I died to a Sadako very quickly last night because I couldn't find a tape early (we all spawned on the same side of the map and my teammates snapped them up).

Also, grabbing a tape is only part of the solution because if she is running the iri tape add-on and mother's comb, she can see when you take a tape, and you can only leave the tape in one particular TV (like it was before), and the tape is destroyed if she hits you. If the player is even decent, this makes the new condemned strat pretty mindless to execute.

Sadako is probably my most played killer, and I have never played for condemnation (I keep in mind, and if it happens it happens, but I don't strategize around it),but while it didn't fully see it at first, this is almost too easy to do unless you're facing a coordinated SWF.

i find it so funny how their goal was to strive her away from iri tape, but they made it even MORE of a must to have addon lmao

  • @not_Queef said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3495901#Comment_3495901

Point is, counterplay should be somewhat intuitive. If people have to read a whole novel just to understand ######### is happening in the match then the design is clearly very flawed.

It doesn't help that there is an addon that changes her tape interactions back to the old way. The majority of players will not see your post (helpful as it may be). Most will wander around trying to play the game and then wonder why they are already dead.

This is not a criticism of your guide, but rather the piss-poor rework in general.

EVERY “how to counter” guide is a novel long, maybe even longer. i wanted to go in depth through her entire kit, that’s why i added de-manifest and manifest. i didn’t HAVE to, but i CHOSE to so people can learn how to counter every aspect of her kit whether it’s before or after. after all, with your point, i could’ve just said “just grab a tape at the start of a match and hold onto it, if you get medium condemned or higher than grab a tape and put it in TV” and that would mean the rework MUST be a success since it’s not a novel long.

I believe Survivors can only take tapes from active televisions but can deposit them regardless of the tv being active or deactivated? This was already a feature for old Sadako, otherwise it would be impossible for a Survivor to deposit their tape if Sadako had turned it off via projection previously.

huh, then i wonder why people cant put it in a lot of TVs. might be a bug!

honestly i believe there should be more TVs, or at the very least just make it so survivors can re-turn TVs back on to input the tape. it would definitely help not make condemn so strong

  • @Nazzzak said:

Didn't they try that with the last Skull Merchant update and it changed nothing? They gave her better chase potential to get people to stop zoning down a 3 gen to no avail. People prefer the path of least resistance. Maybe for Sadako they could start by throwing some more TVs in and cutting down the condemn build up to compensate? I dunno.

I've been thinking recently that the folks who say the devs don't play their own game might be right. Sadako absolutely needed an update that forced survivors to interact with her tapes, because they could easily be ignored most of the game. But it feels like it's gone too far in the other direction now, where people are needing to prioritise finding a tape/TV that's actually on over a gen. It should be a side quest, not the main quest lol I'm still trying to reserve judgement yet anyway, as I think new changes should always be given a few weeks to adjust to. But if people who have never, or rarely, played her before are already getting easy multiple Condemned deaths just days in then I think you're right that a nerf is inevitable. I'll bet BHVR are making great sales on her chapter in the meantime though.

in reality this is never what she needed. what she needed to become a better killer was to

remove her lullaby, change the TV durations to how they are now, have the current ring drawing (the nerfed one), buff her basekit invisibility for de-manifesting and manifesting, and possibly increasing the speed she has when shes phasing as she moves slower than the nurse.

this is all it takes for her to be good originally, but nooo, they just decided to throw this rework in and now everybodys confused on if shes strong or not.

yeah well thats a pinhead problem. him and sadako are both completely different, have completely different powers too. literally give it a week or two so people have time to learn to counter her. also a little fun fact, she cant just consistently abuse turning off her TVs at once because after the last TV is turned off, every single TV turns back on again. there IS counterplay, you just have to learn it.

though her rework made her more of a noob stomper, while shes still pretty weakish against really good survivors

  • @OneGoodBoyDemo said:

After playing several games with and against sadako she definitely needs changes. Not because she is too weak or too strong but just because solo Q is not ready for her.

The changes happened just 2 days ago and people who considered her weak are already changing their minds since in just 2 days people have already started to learn to play with the new mechanics.

For people who are using the argument that "people need time to adapt to new changes" i'm sorry to say but that won't work. With two days, people have already learned to play with her and the other side still doesn't know how to face her?

If solo Q needed "time" to adapt then solo Q would not be one of the biggest problems in the game. the game was released 7 years ago so I'm going to assume that the Q solo is bad because people are still adapting....

for people who are saying she is still weak or strong is a bit tricky. let's consider my case, I'm a veteran player with 5 years of DBD so I have more experience than most and if we consider that in a match the new sadako is going to face the same level of people who have the same knowledge and experience as me, she would be considered a weak killer but this is not the case because Solo Q exists.

the other argument that just get the tapes early to avoid condemned doesn't work against a experience Sadako. only a decent team will know how to apply this effect.

Sadako needs changes because of solo Q.

its been a LITERAL day of the rework going into place. give it at least a week because people are still learning how to counter her!!!

I keep wondering how many TVs are around the map.

i think its completely RNG, as her official killer page doesn't state how many TVs are in a trial. (by official killer page, i mean dbdfandom)

I want to know why solo-queue, with 96% of the player base, is not the group being balanced around. Balancing around the 4% of players that play 4 man SWFs, screws 96% of the player base and ruins their fun. (Based on the last data we received from the developers showing that only 4% of the player base plays 4 man SWFs).

i agree, but you have to come to realize that if they buff solo Q by a lot, and in ways that also buffs SWF, it just makes the game for killer more unbearable against a SWF. it’s moreso a situation of they want to make the game fun for everybody. yet they don’t know how to properly buff solo Q without indirectly buffing SWF, even though it’s so stupidly easy to do.

    • if you grab a survivor under a pallet with your power, the pallet drop will be favored over your grab
    • at a window, using your power when a survivor start to vault, you will not grab the survivor but just give a hit (you do not infect him and you loose time to take it on the ground if downed)

Nothing in the patch notes of course. I have 30ms ping so it is not a problem on my client side.

I rarely play survivor and if I do the killer is usually Wesker or Nurse so I was confused watching them play. All they did was run around looking for active TVs until they got condemned and eventually mori'd.

Is it a big deal to find/keep the tapes?

yes its a big deal, coming from a sadako player.

yes holding a tape can give you 2 stacks IFFFF the sadako hits you, but thats only if she finds you and hits you. theres a reason why 100% of onyro players (yes 100%) are all saying and said even in the PTB that the cursed tapes give survivors protection instead of this "curse". if you hold a tape, you will never get condemned ever unless she hits you and breaks the tape. thats why people are saying, to just grab a tape at the start of a match and bam you counter her power (see image below)

    Op mentioned about

“it's that easy to get a 4 man mori against full time streamers that even teamed up with tournament players”

I dont think solo needs any change anymore, but more to killers’ power thats requires extreme coordination

solo Q def needs more changes to make it so much better to play, i already made a post about it if you wanna go to my prof and find it :3

but solo Q always started to suck the moment survivors kept getting consistently nerfed (rightfully so), but the nerfs only made solo Q a worse experience, while SWF has always remained super strong. theres not many ways to buff solo q without also indirectly buffing Solo Q, but theres definitely things like making kindred basekit (without the killer aura) are directly buffing solo q without buffing/nerfing SWF.

Tunneling and slugging is strategic but when you're slugging everyone and just refusing to hook and making people bleed out is not. Just a waste of time especially with these queue times. It's expected and I'm not surprised but c'mon. It's just a joke.

i mean, thats what slugging is. refusing to hook a survivor or more.

are tunneling, camping, and slugging strats? yeah.

are they healthy? not one bit.

its not just a sadako issue, and yeah slugako is still very strong. but every slug playstyle is strong for every killer, the only reason why people hate it more for sadako is because of the fact she can mori people even if they weren't hooked. i say just blame the devs for not giving her proper changes, the best way to make her a better killer was just to buff her chase potential, buff her tv cooldown time, nerf ring drawing, and remove her lullaby. she would've INSTANTLY became a better killer without making slugako even stronger than before.

also its very ironic how i said on these forums that the rework only made slugako stronger, yet, i got told i was wrong. how the tables have turned... 😒😎

  • @o7o said:

Looks like it's more than Sadako. Just had an anon Singularity do the same and was weird and toxic in gamechat denying their actions playing victim. With queue times being this long, legit 0 reason to play survivor.

its just a really common strat rn, for killers beyond sadako. i had 3 ppl DC against a deathslinger bc all he did was camp and tunnel. i've had nothing but tunneling, or camping, or BOTH, kinds of killers in 50% of my games and its SO boring.

6 games in so far tonight. 3 have been onryo, all 4ks. 2 at 5 gens, a 4 mori game and a 2 mori game where I got slugged and left to bleed out. One game we actually got a gen done. Just as onryo forcibly slugged all 4 of us (without hooking anyone at all) and finally mori'd one then eventually hooked the rest. All less than 10k bp

It's so. Much. fun. Super interactive gameplay. Excellent balance. Brilliant gameplay. Interesting matches. Congrats bhvr 👏

Far as I can tell so far the new iteration of onryo stacks condemned so fast that before 2 gens are done you have at least 1 or 2 players who are ready to insta die. Idk how swfs are getting on with her but she is impossible to play against in solo q.

its mainly the matter of fact that players dont know how to counter her. they refuse to interact with her, causing them to build condemn CRAZY fast. onyro is not broken, shes still pretty weak. she just has better use of her power in SOME cases, while simply just holding a tape completely removes the point of her power and is a literal protection item for survivors, even though it should be the opposite. but yes, blame the devs for making her into this. the best thing they could've done for her is to do these simple things

    • a REAL add-on pass
    • increase her invisibility durations for demanifesting % manifesting (make old newspaper & reikos watch basekit)
    • remove her lullaby
    • make ring drawing as it is right now, from injured to healthy instead of dying to injured

and boom you have a better sadako.

  • @Yamaoka said:

Is it just me or does Sadako seems to get her built in mori every game now even when people know what they're doing?

I watched Otz play with Aaron, Nina and another guy last night. All of them got moried at 3 gens.

If it's that easy to get a 4 man mori against full time streamers that even teamed up with tournament players how is a 4 man solo team supposed to do anything?

solo Q struggles against literally every killer, so i dont understand the point there. the best way to counter sadako is to keep a tape in your hands, and if your against a good sadako, nice! she still has very weak chase potential. i haven't watched the thing your talking about, so idk what add-ons the person ran on sadako or what perks, so i can't really give a detailed response

Yeah I can see your point honestly

I know many people probably look at this and go "uh its not a big deal" but genuinely, I think this is once again BHVR testing the waters regarding what kind of business practice they can get away with.

i mean hey, its business. companies as the years go by will continue getting greedier and greedier. if anything, im very lucky and grateful that BHVR hasn't gone this far yet with dbd. overwatch 2 for example, has only been getting their prices worse and worse. its $20 for a skin you can only see the hand of, like, come on man. at least for dbd and LoL you can see your cosmetics.

but thats just me, i just really hope BHVR doesn't force DBD to go down the path of blizzard and EA games.

  • @Brokenbones said:

They are charging £8 or $10 for 1 character with 3 perks. Yeah they bundled in cosmetics as well but that's still a massive ripoff

You are either forced to buy auric cells or fork out extra for content you don't want. What the hell, BHVR.

If the increased price is because of the cosmetics, can you give us an option to buy on steam that doesn't have them included? Thanks.

i somewhat agree, i do feel like that new chapters should definitely be at $10, but as time goes on, i feel like those chapters and previous chapters (flesh fo mud, halloween, etc) should deterioate by 25, 30, or 50%. being from $10 USD to $7.50 (-25%), $7.00 (30%), $5.00 (-50%). btw im not saying it should be a system of 25, 30, to 50% reduction, im saying that as time goes on it should be reduced by either 25%, 30%, or 50%. not all 3, but ONE of the 3.

It felt just horrible when I was playing Onryō on the ptb. She is already short and does not see #########. No need to force her to look down too.

they couldve gotten away with not having her have the bob, as you cant really see if shes moving her head down

  • @johnlikesguns2 said:

I read the developer update that came out a few hours ago before the Nicolas Cage update. The change won't come out this update but i'm here to say, to not go further with the cooldown animations change. Making killers have to forcedly look down. No one asked for this change, and we don't want it either. Instead of fixing your "actual" problems with the game you keeping pushing us and just changing things that are completely fine and doesn't require change. If the team's point is just to look at the weapon you can still get a really good view even without this adjustment. Don't do this.

dont worry!! they officially stated in the new dev update that its not being implemented

  • @Desteriaa said:

If Made for this is bad so Is bloodlust.

If made for this rewards the survivor for being "bad" at chase so does Bloodlust…

In the current state of dbd Neither should Exist In my opinion especially bloodlust considering it was a mechanic meant to counter infinites but infinites don’t exist anymore so I think that it maybe shouldn’t past tier 1.

As for Mtf I don’t think the perk should have two effects but then again 3% isn’t really much and the endurance is hard to get value from if the killer isn’t slugging.

i play both sides, i think both need changing. reduce MFT to possibly 2%. it could have a tier system as 1% for tier 1, then 1.5% and then 2%. and for bloodlust, remove tier 2-3 for bloodlust and keep 1. you only need tier 1 anyway.

Curious what everyone considers "tunneling", drop your definitions below.

I'm sure many others have seen this as well, but it seems to be a vast majority of the population that throw around the word "tunneling" towards a killer if simply the same person gets hooked twice in a row, regardless of any circumstance as to why. Someone getting hooked twice in a row isn't "tunneling" by default to me.

To me tunneling is intentionally going after the same person regardless of anything. IE train body blocks in front of you being ignored, slugged people ignored, throwing the game, sitting there at the hook staring at their body waiting for them to come off or die, ect.

    What I don't consider tunneling:

    1. You use the built in anti-tunnel to block for the unhooker
    2. You're playing greedy by healing under the hook but the killer comes back and you get punished for the risk
    3. You just happen to run into the killer a second time in a row. I don't expect the killer to just play dumb and ignore you for no reason.

I personally don't even pay attention to how many hooks people have in games as I generally don't plan to tunnel unless it's forced upon me but it's quite wild to watch back games from others perspectives to see how literally everything is tunneling unless you go 1, 1, 1, 1 rotating around the group. As I don't typically pay attention to hook counts on purpose you will run into times you're killing the weaker links faster than others without it even being intentional. For almost never intentionally trying to tunnel someone out it gets said like 25% of matches at least and that's being generous, it's quite wild.

We can get into the whole "tunneling is fine or not fine" thing in another post. I'm just more wanting to hear what y'all consider tunneling and if that matches up with how much I see it said during and right after matches. So whether this is an actual general thought of people or just a people make excuses in the moment through frustration thing.

tunneling is simply, having the killer ONLY focus 1 survivor until their out of the match, and possibly keep on doing it to the other survivors as well. if you unhook somebody infront of the killer, and they go after the unhooked survivor, thats tunneling. if they focus the unhookER instead, then its not tunneling.
