  • No they're bad and boring, you can only do good with them if you camp or tunnel

    1. Demogorgon
    2. Blight
    3. Pyramid Head

I think a lot of licensed killers could just be Legendary Outfits for other Killers we already have.

Chucky and Tiffany could be a Twins skin.

Jason could be a Trapper skin.

Jack The Ripper could be a Ghostface skin.

The Xenomorph could be a Demogorgon skin.

I am sure there are loads more.

Imagine they get super big licenses like friday the 13th, chucky, or alien and all they do them is make skins

    SNOOOOOOOOORE

I wasn't trying to start an argument, I just put in a lot of thought to a response with my honest opinion and you were just like "wrong, didn't respond to my OP correctly". Seemed like someone who only wants to hear "you're right", which is frustrating

Lol no. You made a comment, I simply responded to it in a way you didn't like so you then tried to start a fight, which I don't appreciate

What if a survivor is in front? The clouds expand over a wide area (about 7m)

If the survivor is in front of you, you won't need to use a bottle

It needs to have an inactive period so that it can be thrown either at or ahead of the survivor without them getting the speed boost before Clown then passes through it.

You’re not planning ahead and not observing all the potential places the survivor could be heading.

I.e. you must be thinking too short range rather than long range.

But if it didn't have the inactive period you wouldn't have to throw it ahead, you could throw in directly infront of you

Hey man just don't go around trying to start arguments and everything would be ok

I didn't "ignore" your other points, I didn't touch on them because I don't disagree. Its not like its a world changing update, but the pont of your post was "is there any situation the antidotes are useful" so I gave my opinion. Way to be defensive for no reason. Did you want peoples opinions and suggestions or are you only happy with comments that 100% agree with you?

So I'm suddenly "defensive" and want everyone to be exactly like me. Why are you one this post if all you're trying to do is start a fight or something?

  • @Mister_xD said:

i havent tried it out myself yet (and im nowhere near good enough as a clown to really talk about high level clown strats tbh), but the way i would attempt to use it was by throwing a Afterpiece Tonic Bottle at the survivor, then an Afterpiece Antidote (which is inactive when it hits them) and them come into contact with it once i reach the survivors location.

so i'd use the inactive periode of it to throw it at the survivor and then use the speedboost myself once i reach their position, combined with the slowdown from a well placed tonic.

in theory that way the survivor shouldnt be able to get a benefit from it (without waiting inside the gas, which once again lets me catch up), while i could just zoom after them and catch up very quickly.

again, i dont know how that theory holds up in practise, but i think thats the way they intended it to be used?

This wouldn't work. Swapping bottle types isn't instant and you have to tap the reload button to swap bottles which will start the reload animation for a second so you get slowed for a bit after switching.

  • @EvanSnowWolf said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/219972/can-anybody-come-up-with-a-good-use-for-the-afterpiece-antidote

Some tricks Otz mentioned with the new Clown kit:

    - You can toss a yellow down just before you break a pallet. By the time the cloud forms, the pallet is down and you can chase down the survivor.

    - You can reach a generator better by throwing a yellow ahead of you and running through it for a boost.

    - You can better reach hooks by throwing a yellow on a downed survivor. By the time your pick up animation is completed you are ready to zoom to your hook.

Breaking pallets takes longer because you have to take 1.5 seconds to throw the bottle, which means any distance you would have gained from the speed boost after breaking a pallet is negated because of that extra time it take you to throw a bottle

  • @Exerath1992 said:

You're acting like using it to go around the map is pointless because you have to reload, but YOU choose when to reload. You could think of it this way: if you gotta get somewhere quick, you can get there faster for the clutch moments and deal with the whole 3 second reload after you give yourself breathing room. Here are some examples of when it could be helpful:

Tinkerer procs and you're across the map. Use bottles to cross map faster and keep them from completing it, perhaps even getting there fast enough to utilize your undetectable for a grab.

You hook someone, patrol away, and see someone coming from another direction going for the hook. They're too far away to hit them with tonic, but if you use antidote you may be able to get to the hook for a grab or at least to get in a hit before they run.

You see survivors healing in killer shack with nurses. There is no opening to throw a bottle in on your side of the shack. Use antidote to increase your chances of getting there in time to interrupt

Chasing a survivor through a cornfield who has a good bit of distance on you and is good at dodging tonics? Use a antidote since he's probably not going to double back for the benefit.

Basically, tonics are for area denial, anti looping, tight spaces and for dropping on the head of unsuspecting survivors when you know you can land the hit. Antidotes are for when you have to get somewhere in a time sensitive situation such as to contest a nearly completed generator, unhook, heal, escape or sabotage. You also use it when a survivor has broken LOS and is unlikely to double back. Also, each antidote cloud decreases travel time by .9 seconds, so if you use them effectively, all 4 bottles will get you somewhere 3.6 seconds faster, so even with reload time you shaved half a second off. Not much, but it could be useful. Its a very tactical change and i am excited about it

Good job ignoring the other points I made

They are useless for map pressure because it barely gives you any extra distance

"No those nerfs were not justified both nurse and hillbilly had perfectly fine base kits that didn't need nerfing"

Their Base Kits were not fine. Nurse got created by the same people who put in Moris without hooking, BNPs which repair a full Gen, Infinites and many other stuff. This should show that the decision making during this period of time was not the best. Nurse is basically a design failure, which is still in the game because they cannot just remove her. And I am 100% sure that if she would not be in the game, she would never be created like this anymore.

""just play another killer" is stupid. Having characters that are completely boring and bring no enjoyment is unhealthy for the game and the fact that you don't want those characters fixed is just awful. And why should I be forced to play certain characters if I want to have fun. Also, you have to realize every killer is different and you can't just play a different one and get the same experience as another."

Fun is 100% subjective. If you dont think certain Killers are fun, dont play them. You have many to choose from. Killers you dont like might be fun for others and Killers I dont like are a blast for other players. So "not fun" is not really an argument, since this is your opinion.

"What's with people and just forgetting that nurse is the hardest killer to learn? It's almost like a killer that takes high skill should give high reward"

You still get high reward, it is not like Nurse is weak. Also, being the hardest Killer to learn does not mean that you should keep her as a completely imbalanced design failure as she was without the Recharges and with her old Add Ons.

"First "the game is so much easier for killer" lol nice joke."

It is easier for Killers. Sorry if you still struggle to play Killer, this might just mean that you are not good enough.

"Their Base Kits were not fine. Nurse got created by the same people who put in Moris without hooking, BNPs which repair a full Gen, Infinites and many other stuff. This should show that the decision making during this period of time was not the best. Nurse is basically a design failure, which is still in the game because they cannot just remove her. And I am 100% sure that if she would not be in the game, she would never be created like this anymore."

Ok so by that logic Nea's perk streetwise is also busted because it was also implemented when BNPs could fully repair gens. Seriously don't act like things are broken because they were added when other things were busted, that's not how that works.

You're right she would never have been created like this today but that's because these devs don't do anything unique with killers anymore, they would be to scared of people like you who would nonstop complain about something just because it was new and unfamiliar to you.

"Fun is 100% subjective. If you dont think certain Killers are fun, dont play them. You have many to choose from. Killers you dont like might be fun for others and Killers I dont like are a blast for other players. So "not fun" is not really an argument, since this is your opinion."

You just ignored everything I said previously.

It's ridiculous that you think players should be forced to play certain killers because the devs sucked the fun out of the one they wanted to play

"You still get high reward, it is not like Nurse is weak. Also, being the hardest Killer to learn does not mean that you should keep her as a completely imbalanced design failure as she was without the Recharges and with her old Add Ons."

You refer to nurse as a designed failure but just because she changes how you have to play the game doesn't mean she's a "failure"

You also clearly don't know what High skill High reward is so let me tell you. High skill, high reward is when something takes alot of skill to use and gives a lot in return for being skillful. For the case of nurse the skill comes from the fact that she is slower than survivors and needs to use her ability to catch them but you also need to be accurate with her blinks as well, the reward for learning nurse is you get to ignore normal survivor defenses like pallets and windows, forcing survivors to drastically change how they play, like breaking line of sight or not running in a straight line.

    "It is easier for Killers."

Thanks for letting me know you're a rank 20 survivor

I mean, those Nerfs were justified. For both Billy and Nurse. Fun is subjective, if someone thinks they are not fun anymore, they can play other Killers. Like, I am not going on the Forums and say "Hag is not fun to play, do something about it!", because I have plenty of options to choose from and I am not forced to play Hag.

And if we look at those Nerfs - Nurse is still the strongest Killer and she is basically a design failure. She came into the game with so much busted stuff which is not in the game anymore, so why should the Devs get rid of stuff like Infinites, Double Pallets, but keep the Killer which ignores Survivor Defenses?

And Billy, its 2020, the game got so much easier for Killer. The Killer with insane Map Mobility, strong Add Ons and an easy to use One Hit-ability (with some practise) is not balanced anymore. So they made a minor change to his Kit, which most of the time does not affect him and changed his Add Ons.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1831456#Comment_1831456

This is correct. Of course the Archives will also play a role in that, I can even imagine that the Devs put Archive-Challenges in the Tome to see how Billy performs (even tho, this way of looking at data would be questionable, because players who never played Billy would play him).

But, in theory, you can ignore those Challenges, because they are not on the main track of the Archives and you can also replace Dailies.

"I mean, those Nerfs were justified. For both Billy and Nurse. Fun is subjective, if someone thinks they are not fun anymore, they can play other Killers. What's with people and just forgetting that nurse is the hardest killer to learn? It's almost like a killer that takes high skill should give high reward

But everyone acts like you can just press m2 as nurse and all of the survivors instantly die

"And Billy, its 2020, the game got so much easier for Killer. The Killer with insane Map Mobility, strong Add Ons and an easy to use One Hit-ability (with some practice) is not balanced anymore"

First "the game is so much easier for killer" lol nice joke. Second How does everybody ignore the fact that the devs said that he was completely fine balance wise in the dev post about the hillbilly and lf changes

Something survivors need to realize is that strong killers can't just press a button and instantly win, it takes skill and time to learn and get good with these killers and when people are very skillful with these killers. Of course thousand hour nurse mains are gonna be hard to beat, those players took the time to learn how to be skillful with her.

Doing progress on an action gives objective points like doing gens, searching chests, healing, etc

Fully finishing an action like finishing gens, chests healing, etc gives you a 500 survival score event called "completed"

When you break a hook with the perk breakdown you get a 200 boldness score event called "Breakdown"

Healing another survivor while you are injured gives a 500 altruism score event called "Other's first"

    Killer:

When affecting a survivor with a negative status effect gives 300 brutality score event called "Crippled"

When a gen regresses 25% after you kicked it get a 300 brutality score event called "Step back"

Getting the bloodlust status affect gives a 400 hunter score event called "Thriller"

Seeing a survivors aura gives a 100 hunter score event called "I see you"

Having a survivor get revealed via killer instinct gives a 50 hunter score event called "Good instincts"

Having all 4 survivors in the dying state give a 500 sacrifice score event called "Bloody massacre"

Hitting a survivor after breaking a pallet or wall gives a 150 brutality score event called "Outrage"

Killing 1-3 survivors gives a 1000 deviousness score event called "Bloodshed"

When all survivors are injured get a 300 brutality score event called "Hemophilia"

Hitting a survivor a total of 8 times gives a 150 brutality score event called "Truly deranged"

    Both:

Being in the trail when the end game collapse timer is at 30 seconds gives a 500 deviousness/survival score event called "The end is nigh"

The first time the entity appears in a match (A survivor gets to stage 2 of hook) gives a 666 sacrifice/survival score event called "It's here"

  • In tier 1 when he is stalking but isn't looking at a survivor he should move at 120% movement speed

Kind of like in the movies where he is standing in a place and the next second he just disappears

  • Even if you could hit pounces you probably still wouldn't be having fun imo

They are pretty bad and the only time you can get much use out of their power is being able to camp while also being able to pressure the map and it's really boring

No, they don't. If they did, they would've complained when the Nurse was released, or when the Legion's tome was released, or when David's tome was released, or when Felix was released, but they didn't. They only complain when it's about LGBT.

It's confirmed David has a girlfriend but he still gets paired with Dwight all the time

I still see constant pairing of Felix with other dudes and Nurse with females

Ahh yes "pretend the people are LGBT" instead of just assuming everyone is straight, like all the straight people do.

this is exactly why representation is important, LGBT+ aren't "pretend" they're real.

Nobodies' saying that LGBT people are "pretend"

People just want the freedom of choice to choose what sexuality a character is instead of being forced to see a character as one sexuality

    Cool

Im not talking about Elodie's skin tho

  • At this point they just need to revert the changes

I've listened enough. You've said there are other anti-camping/tunnelling perks. If I am camping then these perks that help with camping do nothing at all.

You said if you want to save them you need to work as a team. That wouldn't matter without a flashlight, I'm getting my kill. Doesn't matter if I'm playing a perkless M1 killer I'm still getting a kill.

You said not every game is going to be a camper or tunnelled. That's actually correct. If the killer is destroying that team or is just genuinely being too nice then he won't camp or tunnel. However any good killer will turn to camping when they need to because the survivors have nothing to stop them.

You failed to give me a proper counter to a tunnelling/camping killer. You failed to acknowledge the point I made earlier about a game where there is an obsession (implying someone might have DS) and no obsession. Even with your 1,800 hours you fail to see why removing both BT and DS at the same time would be bad decision.

I'm done lol I can't keep going on my head is beginning to hurt. I'll let you have the last word since you'll want it. No matter what it says I'm done for this discussion. Good luck in your future games mate 👍 hope BL coming back tomorrow makes your killer games more fun.

Night everyone 😁 sorry for keeping this discussion open longer than it should've been.

Bro if your not a bad survivor a killer that is camping or tunneling won't be affective against you

You have the mentality of "If Im the last to respond to an online argument, that means I won it" which lead you to completely ignore the content of all my comments and just blindly respond.

We all understand what you’re saying, but what you don’t understand is that not every “camping and tunneling” game is as perfect as that. Getting an actual game where the killer gets somebody down and just sits there in front of him while the other survivors are on gens isn’t the only way of “camping” or “tunneling”. There’s other ways, and once you realize that, you will realize you’re incredibly wrong.

I never said (or implied) there was only one way of camping. And what I'm saying is there are ways to get around every type of tunneling or camping, but everyone just happens to ignore those parts.

How do you work as a team to save them lol you don't have BT. The killer just immediately hits them, downs them and hooks them within 10 seconds. As long as the killer stays close that person will die. Only a flashlight can save them but bring Lightborn and that's no problem.

If you've played this game long enough you'd understand the difference in a game where there is and isn't an obsession.

Oh I thought you maybe saw BT and misread it as BL lol

You really aren't listening. Take a moment and think. Imagine I'm camping a survivor on the hook or hard proxy camping. What can survivors do to save that survivor? Answer: Nothing.

I don't understand how I still need to explain this. It has nothing to do with getting unsafe unhooks, it's about getting any safe hooks at all.

BL has nothing to do with this. You still have other perks to help you in chases. Bamboozle in particular destroys a lot of god loops.

What can survivors do to save that survivor? Answer: Nothing they should do gens and escape while they killer gets a 1k depips, gets hardly any bp, and learns that camping is not a good way to play and therefore they will change and no longer camp. And if you really want to save them work as a team with the other survivors to save them.

I don't get why people think every game the killer is gonna camp or tunnel if these perks are removed, newsflash they wont. And only bad killers need to tunnel or camp to get kills so if your losing against bad killers with crutch perks than maybe you should be working on bettering your gameplay.

Or damaging survivors through certain walls because there is a hole in it and the new lunge distance being able to make it(I've seen a person get damaged in a locker once without the killer having to check which locker).

So yeah, reaching places they shouldnt be able to reach. Piggy and Demogorgon are already able to get on top of certain walls, obviously that wasnt the issue, let alone that Nurse can get pretty much everywhere any other killer can go. Getting stuck on accident because of a perk OR using that perk to hit through walls is a bit broken and can turn a relatively decent perk into an uncounterable monster. Sometimes all you need is 1 single hit through a wall to turn the game into your favor, having 5 of them is an issue.

Im sure they will compensate the nerf with something else.

Ok so they could just fix those things instead or ruining the perk instead

Where did Bloodlust come into this conversation 😂 my logic isn't flawed lol

What I said was correct. If the only perks to counter campers/tunnellers are DS and BT then without both the killers should be free to tunnel and camp however they want.

Bloodlust came into this conversation when I compared it to what you were saying

What you said was not correct. There are many more perks that help with camping and tunneling but DS and BT are the strongest. If we were to remove them for a week it would make people learn to not go for unsafe unhooks and not to get caught after getting unhooked. It would also make people use different perks like off the record or babysitter which would lead to more interesting games instead of survivors just hiding in lockers after they get unhooked to escape the killer with no effort or people do unsafe unhooks with no consequences.

There's no smart player that wants a no DS weekend. Anyone with a brain should never want this.

Imagine a camping killer knowing there's no DS or BT 😂 let's imagine what the results would be if there was only a no DS/BT weekend:

    1. Noticeably higher kill rate.
    2. The average time between being unhooked and hooked again will drastically drop.
    3. The amount of safe unhooks will drastically drop.

A no DS/BT weekend would just tell the devs "oh these perks need to stay in the game forever".

    This logic is so flawed

Kill rates are going to be lower while bloodlust is gone. So does that mean this no blood lust weekend is just gonna tell the devs that blood lust needs to be in the game forever? No, the killers that rely on it are just gonna have to adapt to not having it.

So maybe there would be higher kill rates because survivors can no longer rely on their seconds chance perks and would have to adapt to become better?

I think the problem with it, was that killers could reach things they shouldnt be able to reach and pretty much break the game. I mean, Billy has gotten nerfed in the past once because his angular momentum was slightly too big and launched him into space

So what if they can get to certain places like on top of a wall? It's only 5 uses the entire match lol

It was never a good perk to begin with.

Doesn't mean it's ok to nerf it

3 seconds is enough for survivors to do all five gens?

Also remember alot of killers either have a rlly fast method of breaking walls or don't even need to break them at all.

Oh yes because killers can instantly break all walls in the map immediately after the game starts in just 3 seconds! They totally don't have to go around the map searching for them to break them so survivors can't loop them infinitely.

  • @lowiq said:

Just break the wall. It's literally the same as breaking a pallet.

Except it's better for you because it's pre-dropped.

What point are you trying to prove? Just break the damn wall. Once it’s gone that loop is never safe for a survivor again.

    @Withered8 said:

I wouldn't even comment on this because others have but it's annoying me that much. Just break the wall!

I think yall are forgetting that breaking walls takes time and while your going around kicking walls, survivors will be doing gens

  • Breakable walls have been horribly implemented since they were first added but the devs still do nothing about it

Really frustrating tbh, a normal map suddenly becomes really survivor sided just by adding in breakable walls that create god loops
