Yes the perks are good. Like are you serious?

Lethal pursuer ensures that a chase starts as soon as possible and is a massive boon for the otherwise weak early game of killers. It's going to be one of the better nurse perks at the very least. Lethal pursuer, Infectious Fright nurses can end games before they even start

Hysteria after it's buff is seriously slept on. I don't think people realise how many easy downs this perk can give you. This perk will make the no heal meta a lot more dangerous to do. It's nemesis weakest perk but by no means bad

And eruption is a slowdown perk that synergizes with some other slowdown perks. Something they said they wanted to avoid.

Pgtw a gen takes 20 seconds for a solo survivor to fix. Downing someone adds 5 seconds to that and if someone was working on it they can't work on another gen for 16 seconds.

That half a gen worth of slowdown for 1 kick.

Like seriously what do you want perks to be? At the start of a trail 1/2/3 survivors start on a hook?

You are having a serious victim mentality. Nemesis is one of the few killers who has no bad perks

ah, like i said i can guess where the survivors are, why waste 1 perks that only works for 9s, many perks that can do much better than that,

lol i believe no one will be running nemesis perks, and meta not gonna changes.

What serious victim, I only told you fair point that this patch is nerf for killers, killer meta not gonna change on nemesis perks

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

It will never cease to amaze me how people can trick their own mind to only see the things they want to see.

Litterally every single perk of nemesis got buffed. Some massivelly even.

2 addons of a killer getting a barelly noticable nerf and all that doesn't matter anymore

is the perks good ? please answer this

is the nemesis perks gonna change meta ? of course not, so it's like dev buff monstrous shrine but no one using it,

yes that addons got nerfed and that's the most important ones compared to the other addons

Killers did get an amazing perk, lethal pursuer

Because that game is survivorside. One patch they gave some buffs to killers. And now min 10 patches they will nerf killers. Because survivors felt so bad for Demo and Wraith buffs.

demo nerf is really unjustified, while maybe franklin wont do much but this patch has been survivor side at all and killer got nothing in return i think i will just skip this chapter entirely and will be back until they buff killers again or say goodbye forever

  • I'm starting to think dev didnt care about their veteran players anymore currently they dev newbies and they even didnt touch problematic things like billy rework or DH or spirit

  • why ? why does the dev nerf franklin and demo ?

To be honest even with the breathing you still can't do much against her. It only prepares you for that moment.

Any good Spirit doesn't even need injured sounds. They can hear footsteps, vaults and every other sound a survivor makes. I'm not even an amazing Spirit and I refuse to play her because she's bullshit and doesn't feel good to get "outplayed" by and I don't consider myself good mopping the floor against all reds with her either. Only reason I'd pick Spirit in the past is if I felt like making survivors I recognized that I didn't like to feel like ######### and you can't even switch killers in the lobby anymore so I just don't play her.

I feel her footsteps need to be audible again like they were for a short time when they were bugged. Past that I can't see it being fair for both sides. Spirit's power needs her to rely on audio and I feel that should also be her main counter if we hard focus on not completely reworking Spirit.

actually i prefer if they entirely changing her power, maybe dev has better idea.

but for now i think that sound bug is still the best one.

  • please draw spirit carried rank 1 number

  • @ggezbaby said:

I play against spirits just fine, even with stridor. we don’t need to change counterplay around bad players. also / why are posts like this always prefaced with “killer main btw”? u guys (survivor mains pretending to be killer mains) are a meme at this point. -from a survivor main

ah spirit main pretending to be survivor main

  • just see scott jund challenge, even tournament players said she has no counter unless you're the best 0.1% dbd player that can counter spirit

  • @PhantomChimera said:

Spirit is not that hard to counter. I play Spirit on occasion and it is surprising the number of times survivors give away there location by not doing a pretty straightforward counter. Just don't run. It's like they are in such a hurry to gen rush they don't want to do something as simple as not run.

Survivors playing as Claudette can be downright humorous. They have a tendency to give away there location more than someone playing as any other survivor. Perhaps they are just overconfident.

Getting caught in a loop is also not that hard to counter. If she stops chasing and stands still immediately leave the loop.

imagine not running as counter and spirit is not hard to counter, this must works with all killer

  • lol, personally i like to play plague but she's really hard to PIP

I feel like chases for me as survivor are very hit or miss as spirit. some chases are short due to couple bad reads in a row, others can be very long due to some very imbalanced loops and structures with like 1:30-2 minute chase. survivor's won't be happy with spirit until they can consistently do 2 minute chases vs spirit like they do with every other m1 killer with limited power intervention. Most of the time, when they weaken killers, their changes are overly impactful so much so that they make the killer almost unplayable vs good survivors and than you usually get watered down matchmaking for the killers to compensate the killer being... not amazing. Its usually to target their skill expression so that their skill has no real impact on the match. they did that with Freddy and with Billy.

When they do touch spirit, they won't just change her a "little bit", survivors won't be happy with a "little bit". they'll weaken everything. about her they'll gut her mother daughter ring, her amulet, her father glasses, her green shoes, her base movement speed in phase walk and give a visual/sound cues for when she is phasing. If its not auto-win pilot mode for survivor, than its unfair. Its why killers don't necessary enjoy these "killer changes" even though they're basically inevitable.

With Freddy ? Freddy changes basically nothing with his power, they only touch forever freddy which is good enough for me, you're only true about billy, but what with other recent buff as wraith ?

when they do touch spirit then all spirit mains who get carried to red ranks will cry, thats for sure maybe they will try learn other strong killer like Nurse, Oni, etc but wont get carried with spirit

  • @ill_Boston_lli said:

Every time I go into a match and I play for fun I get these lil egotistical scum buckets who exploit and taunt about it. Survivors wonder why killers dont relent well here is why.

ah nothing beat that sweaty SWF with flashlight, even when we got 4K they still said camp things or any other things, they just cant accept they lost.

Spirit is only stronger when she has reached good skill ceiling (or has working headphones). There are a lot of garbage Spirits out there. Best example: I saw a rank 1 spirit DCing yesterday after 3 gens were finished with 0 downs. She just didn't manage to injure/down people quickly to get use of her pop goes the weasel and rage quit. On the lower skill level Wraith is stronger by far.

I can't understand how this simple issue can't be seen by people with some experience in this game. It was Freddy, not Spirit or Nurse who had the highest kill rate. Not because he was a better killer, but just because of the fact he was easy to play with a sub-zero skill ceiling.

You can only loop wraith on shack and maybe 2-3 other safe loop locations on the map. Other than that he will get free hits constantly almost everywhere.

I am not at 2000 hours but 2600 hours right now and I have mained Wraith (the old one) and Spirit in the past so I have valid understanding of both killers. Even with old Wraith I was able to 4 k most of my matches and only struggled with really good red rank teams.

i'm sorry to tell you that escaping and looping low skills wraith is far easier than spirit, its more true in red rank than another. with that 2.600 hours sure people will realize escaping bad spirit is far harder than that bing bong boy, simply because game of guess give you worst chance to escape than using pallet to that bing bong boy when you loop him.

there's so many times in my solo q 4 people escaped. wraith got buff on what he needed

But you won´t see a widescreen monitor nerf or fix or anything in that regard.

Issue with nerfing good killers is, that the devs go full armageddon on them. Just look at Billy. His slight rework changed him from the most balanced killer to a unicorn. No one plays him anymore (outside of dailys).

this is actually no one asking for billy nerf / rework, dev just full armageddon on this, i even don't want to play as him anymore and not fun to play as survivor

  • i agree with this one too count as three, but that's the separate issue this need to be fixed by dev too, widescreen should not give survivor advantage over non widescreen survivor

  • @SilentSlayer274 said:

This is the worst advice I’ve heard 🤣 there is no counter spirit and tell me that’s balanced? You can’t have skill against a spirit. She can cut you off through her phase.. tell me that’s fair?

There isn't, I literally just explained why there isn't and provided good logical reasons.

just forget about it that @Unifall is better than tournament player that in @ScottJund spirit challenge video , where he show all counterplay didn't work but it's work magically on @Unifall survivor so he must be top 0.1% global

  • ah all the spirit player that think spirit is balanced but don't say how to escape them.

It used to be people speaking lots of counterplay, but suddenly when someone said scott challenge they all back up and give another excuse.

I'm starting to think that they silently maining spirit and doesn't want their strongest killer taken away

  • @kate_best_girl said:

Like we're really starting up the Spirit hate train AGAIN? This has been discussed over and over. Spirit is FINE where shes at. We should be allowed to have a strong killer and not have the community up in arms crying because they can't effectively 5 gen chase a pro spirit,

spirit hate is already long enough you just miss the train buddy, and this has been discussed over and over. Spirit is NOT FINE where shes at

  • @C3Tooth said:

The most effective way to know if Spirit start to phase or not is to see her shard gets brightening.

Because the shard is so small to see from distance, this is why many survivors vault toward her to have a closer look.

lol i choked on this comment.

anyway there's many counter to spirit:

    1. when spirit run and try to attack you just stand still and let her down you, maybe they will think you're mindgaming her.

    2. when the spirit run stridor just suicide on the hook and go on

    3. keep asking dev to make it balanced killer

  • well i wont play any killer again after that even uninstalling game.

anyway you know that some players play both and some of nerf suggestion is valid.

you could ask killer main that want survivors perk to be nerfed too.

both want to have a fair gameplay, only that maining one side that said this thing tbh

  • spirit mostly i think 2nd one would be hag but its so rare so once in a week or two is still okay i guess

I don't jump onto the band wagon for nerfing things unless it's absolutely necessary haha, I made this post because I have no idea why people dislike him. Which I can see everyone's complaints now, personally I think he's perfectly okay, but some things are understandable

i still dont hate vsing deathslinger, i hate huntress more with his big hitbox and delay

  • i think the problem here mostly lies with swf group carried to red ranks. while most of killer knows that the skill needed to escape swf and solos are really different. maybe dev need to consider having solos rank and swf rank

  • @Sweet_Potato said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2246084#Comment_2246084

Not really. I see far more spirits with apparently bad headphones who really struggle to hit and to down survivors while phasing and thus ending with 1 or 0 kills only.

On the other side I never see a wraith with 0 kills. Even good red rank solo Qs are often nailed to an indecisive draw / 2 k as the best result.

Most wraith 3 or 4 k against average players.

with 2k hours you cant loop wraith ? good red rank solo can give 0 kills to red rank wraith. this already happens many times on my games, lol u compare wraith with spirit and wraith win ? is that 2k hours even real ? someone with 2k hours would agree that spirit is far more stronger than that bing bong boy

  • i think the time when salty swf group got killed all, and they said i got no skill but i said why all of you dead ? and they start asking for real life fight.

  • @sulaiman said:

You cannot loop her, but you can still escape her in a chase.

by doing what ? even tournament survivor cant escape spirit

  • @sulaiman said:

Looping is part of the game, but please stop pretending its the only part of the game. There are different playstyles (like stealth), but there are people that dont like that.

doctor is a killer that mostly negates stealth, spirit is a killer that mostly negates mindless looping. I like it when different killers attack different aspects of the game, because it doesn´t become stale too fast that way.

However, lots of survivor players only learned the one aspect and didn´t care about the others, and now judge balance around that one aspect.

stealth apply to all killers you can also stealth doctor. but you cant loop spirit, that's the point

  • @odra said:

I believe there are a few killers you can't loop easily - Deathslinger is tough on most, nurse, doctor is tough if skilled just as spirit, huntress....

you cant loop them easily but if they miss their power you can escape them since they will need to be slowed down when they use their power unlike spirit she will just run with normal movement speed

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2245168#Comment_2245168

Not a spirit main, but lots of hours regardless.

Many killers are able to deal with multiple survivors at once. Spirit cannot. Nurse is able to because her cooldown is so short. Wraith is very good at the hit and run style. Legion is ONLY good against multiple survivors. Twins can actually chase/pressure 2 survivors at once. Pig can take someone out of the game with her traps, not directly chasing them, but still takes them out of the game where they have to get traps off.

Every killer is different and has a different style. Against a spirit, you can't just loop. You need to stealth around, and try to bait her out. Spirit still loses against survivors who focus gens hard. She can't get downs fast enough if everyone pressure gens because her power is not that great at map traversal, as you want to be using it in chases.

Also, i come from fighting games. Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and MvC2 are my jam. And in those games, 1 mistake means you get ToD'd or infinite combo and you lose. With spirit, you get 6 chances. Which is lucky, because i come from a world where you get 1.

Now, this isn't to say that i think spirit doesn't need changes. But i don't think a direct nerf is the way to go, the reality is at the highest level, nurse can barely compete, and spirit still gets blown out by organized depip/tournament level squads.

thanks for your detailed explanation, while what you said about most killer is true. people tend to forget that looping is basic of the game as we can compare in the fighting game where block and evade is one of the crucial element of the game.

so 1v1 will always be part of the game in how you escape or evade the killer. In tournament people still can win or lose depending on the teams but some rules apply on tournament on what can you bring or which perk you cant use and so on.

while i agree that spirit can still lose but OP or not is not based on whether she still can lose

  • mostly nurse or spirit, sometimes demo ,oni and clown in this week. never seen was billy or ghost face or myers

  • before any spirit main come here i will share some part they use most.

Spirit is strong on 1v1 - is there any killer can chase more than 2 ?

Spirit can be countered by pre drop pallet etc - i'm sorry but this will work with other killers and you still can escape but not with spirit.

Imagine this is fighting game but since spirit attack so strong you cant block it. but you can evade her attack. sure you can win by evading every attack of her. is that OP ? is she needs nerf if only that character do that way ?

  • spirit cant be counterable. just accept it and move on.

  • @Sweet_Potato said:

I just DC against wraith. It's not because I am a bad survivor. I have 2500 hours in this game, but I would rather take the DC penalty than playing against a BORING 0 skill killer. And it literally takes no skill to play wraith. To calculate the uncloak spot requires the same skill level as to hit the charges playing as Bubba. Literally 0.

That was the reason Wraith was my first main killer 2 years ago. Because playing Nurse, Billy or Huntress etc. actually required some skill while Wraith allowed me to get into the red ranks without any effort and to perform there well except facing SWFs. And that Wraith was considered garbage tier...

New wraith still sucks against good SWFs but he makes the game unplayable for solo Qs due to their lack of coordination.

lol maybe you're just bad survivor

  • for best i think Oni, he has everything map pressure, need to charge for power, strong and balanced power

worst is nurse, they thought it was good idea to put killer who break balance in their first DLC

BHVR do some risk on their 1-2 nd years thats why most meta come from that era

  • aactually i liked the swamp coz of the duck sound when we passed. well i still hate the game more

  • just google scott challenge its already on forum. you could pre dropped the pallet. but you cant run from her.

    1200+ hours

  • lol is that true ? that must be funny as hell.

how could the weakest killer be op

  • just describe it, dont say double backing pre dropping pallet and dont be seen. it's already debunked in other post

  • i think mostly same, but on this forum it is killer for sure.

in steam its survivor dont know about the rest

  • @DontNerf said:

Spirit has counterplay its just non conventional counterplay. Iron will is fine as well.

wow don't start again, if you believe he has counterplay then why don't u just describe here

  • @bjorksnas said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2242384#Comment_2242384

Iron will is a survivor perk, Stridor is a killer perk which on average should be stronger than survivor perks

also if it was actually good every single killer would run stridor, and I have never seen stridor on a killer that's not spirit so unless stridor becomes stupidly powerful to compensate I think its fine but spirit needs to change

well some nurse use stridor to catch injured survivor sounds, actually its quite useful.

There's no saying that killer perk should be stronger than survivor, it should be balanced, since stridor already counter iron will and you still want to nerf iron will. I don't know what to say about this

  • @bjorksnas said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2241985#Comment_2241985

    sounds good here's my proposal

Whenever you are in the Injured State iron will activates

Grunts of pain are reduced by 100% 50/55/60 seconds, while you are healthy iron will regains 1 second of active duration for every 3 seconds you remain healthy, iron will becomes disabled when its duration runs out (not permanent can still regain duration but no longer removed injured noises while it doesn't have any duration remaining)

And to nerf spirit simply give her a tell to her power so just remove the husk once she starts phasing or something along those lines with minor buffs to spirit to balance it out and everything should be right as rain, my proposed 2 small buffs would be increase phase speed from 7.0 m/s to 7.5 m/s and fix duration addons so they can be used together with recharge addons while still maintaining current effect

if you nerf IW then stridor should be nerfed too , to be consistent and give timer to stridor too

  • Mostly killers who refused to adapt say that.

still feel like people are just going to complain about a different killer when spirit gets nerfed

after spirit is nerfed i think this is the best time to buffed some killers, they need to revisit billy or bring old billy back

1 2 3 4 … 7
