This perk can be used at any time and not just when in chase. This perk causes your character to instantly fall down as if they were actually hit. No points are awarded to the killer for the action of Feign Death, which should be telling for a keen killer. The survivor can get back up instantly, as they are ready to spring for this acrobatic maneuver they've practiced for.
While in the prone state, the killer can pick up the survivor, but this does not take any health states. Other survivors can preform a heal action on the Feigned dying state survivor. And although they can heal that player and force them to stand up into the injured state and finish healing them into full health, the Feigned Death survivor can fully recover at any time they want which would give them back their previous health state/status and 60/50/40 seconds of exhaustion for having recovered from their faked dying state.
If the killer drops the survivor that used Feign Death, then that same survivor can recover to their former living health state instantly. However, the killer can hook the survivor and this does take a hook state and cause the need for the player to be healed after rescued from hook.
May want to change the name to "Exaggerated Injury" or "Faked Injury" and give it to a sports hero in football or soccer with a backstory of "sometimes knowing how to play the game well is not good enough". This should interest more global players due to soccer being a popular global sport.
While in the faked prone state, this survivor can move at 150% crawl speed since they are not actually injured. Keen killers will see this speed and realize they need to catch the survivor. Not normal speed, as that would create an unfair advantage for the survivor zooming through the grass with just this one perk alone. But paired with other perks this could be fun and funny.
For most other game mechanics this Feigned Death player in the faked dying state should be shown to other survivors while they are downed, and to killers using Deer Stalker.
This just sounds like it would be worse than Plot Twist

If you dont wish your offerings having the chance of getting wasted on a game, you should not use them.
its not nice either when I got my first down at 3.5 gens done last night, but such is life.
Tbf though the killer can still get more BP than a tunneled & camped survivor..

Prove Thyself is very strong in the early and late stages of the game where it is very likely for survivors to be grouped together. If all survivors spawn together on a large map, they can quickly rush a gen before I even find them. This is strong since it's basically like starting the game with 4 gens. In the late stages, survivors are more likely to be grouped on the same gen since there are less total gens. There is also a risk of a 3 gen, which Prove Thyself is very important for breaking. In these scenarios, Prove Thyself gives far more gen speed than any other perk. If Prove Thyself wasn't strong, the nerf shouldn't bother you much.
It's definitely one of the more decent perks but since the survivors could just be on different gens then I didn't mind it much
The only thing that bothers me I'd the BP removal when survivors already get on average a pitiful amount of BP..

There is a reason that I'm not buffing zombies with this add-on, period: Zombie add-ons are the WORST add-ons in The Nemesis' arsenal and, in my opinion, should mostly be removed.
That said, the reason I made it into the add-on you see here is because it fits in line with the character. Additionally, if you believe that this would make him a better tunneller, you must also have to acknowledge that this would also make him better with map mobility and spreading map pressure around all other Survivors, thus removing the need to tunnel in the first place.
This add-on works best when you are NOT tunneling, after all. You need to hit every Survivor to gain the speed boost and you need to keep that infection going or else you risk losing not only your "tunneling" ability, but the other, better benefits of running this add-on.
So there's more to this add-on than the tunneling aspect. It's the ability to do MORE with Nemesis than that.
Are the worst? Have you not seen licker tongue?
-
@Clockwork_Enigma said:
I've made a post like this before, but I'll say it again since I've had experience with the new Waterlogged Shoe Hag: Nemesis should get a speed add-on.
There's an add-on in his arsenal that genuinely does not synergize well with his kit and I think would make for the perfect add-on to change the effect of completely: Iridescent Umbrella Badge
Here is my suggestion for it.
Iridescent Umbrella Badge
A glass-like badge molded from the Fog itself. It represents the corporation that pushed far beyond ethical and humane science.
- For each Survivor that is Contaminated, The Nemesis' movement speed is increased by +2.5%.
- Every 60 seconds after a Vaccine is used, an empty Supply Case will refresh with a new Vaccine.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This not only incentivizes Nemesis players to get hits with Tentacle Strike, but also synergizes extremely well with practically every single add-on there is in The Nemesis' kit outside of zombie-related add-ons.
This would also give Nemesis the ability to get contaminations at a much faster pace to allow him to earn the maximum potential of his power, thus allowing him to start causing destruction the likes that the Trials have never seen before.
I think this would be perfect to have for Nemesis because it would create a more interesting playstyle as and against him. Survivors would have more reason to vaccinate and Nemesis would have more reason to contaminate.
Nemesis should get a speed add-on and I really think that it should be the Iridescent Umbrella Badge's effect, not an Exposed effect that is too limited to use.
That's the one you change and not licker tongue? Seriously?

I respectfully disagree.
with my buddies on survivor, we play with coms and its fairly easy to pip up based on our respective performances in the match, its quite consistent that way and it feels like our plays are meaningful to that end.
On killer its highly inconsistent as it doesn't really depends on your own performance but rather, wether or not SURVIVORS are willing to play the match in the first place.

Looks like I was right about Prove Thyself being too strong. It's getting nerfed next patch.
Enjoy getting 3 gens popped at once then instead lol
My biggest issue is not with its speed nerf, heck it can give nothing for all I care, but the removal of the BP bonus
But yeah enjoy having multiple gens pop at once instead of just 1 at a time lol

I disagree on medkits, I think the nerfs were good. Although even slower heal speed at an exchange for more charges would definitely work as well.
When it comes to CoH, I kind of agree. I wish they would have just decreased self healing speed significantly instead of removing self healing completely.
Tbh I wish they would have at least kept the medkits unique
Now why even take a purple if the brown is the exact same?

Right now the community challenge is looking like it won't be completed unless the numbers are toned down thanks to the gold emblem requirement.
A community challenge should be something that BOTH sides of the community can work towards to bring the together, however the emblem system actively encourages both sides to work against eachother. The Unbroken/Devout are literally both sides needing the opposite to complete - survivors have to escape while killers have to kill/sacrifice. In order for the killer to contribute their 3 Devout gold emblems to the community challenge there are 9-12 survivors that end up contributing 0 Unbroken gold emblems. That's a TERRIBLE community challenge. Not only does it not have the community working together to complete but it just makes the event more sweaty and less fun.
The EVENT community challenges should be something like collect invitation, activate any invitation in chase, complete event gens, hook survivors on event hooks, etc. Leave challenges like collecting emblems to the regular tomes NOT event tomes, especially not COMMUNITY challenges.
They already toned down the numbers (even though they really didnt need to lol)
But I agree that's its pretty counterintuitive

Well think about it, assassins have only one hex that can be destroyed, high reward at high price. However, boon perks do not have that restriction, Survivors can bless a totem as many times as they want and the perk that destroys totems charges a perk slot from the killer
Boons are a extra perk for all survivors in the game
It doesn't seem fair to me that the survivors have infinite opportunities to bless a totem over and over again and the killer only takes one with undying hex :c
More than anything it is not a nerf, it is a balance to be fair, do you understand my point?

What if each time per game you start with a token that will be consumed when you boon a totem. Every time you get hook you earn a token. It would help the killers a lot and the survivors would think twice about taking the risk of blessing a totem or a hex

Agreed - If a survivor can run endless pallet to pallet, window to window, ability to block killers etc - then tunneling is a completely fair option for the ridiculously fast gens we have to deal with now.
Fast gens only seem fast because you spend all the time trying to get 1 person instead of focusing on pressuring gens..

Mhhhh... Maybe a Score based gamemode, in which the killer needs to down and hook as many survivors within a limited time limit. If they reach a score limits, they rank up in BP/xp; and same can be apply to survivors with less to no hooks.
I don't know about that one, it hard to differential the win conditions. Like does the killer need to get 5, 10, 15, or even 20 hooks to master; as well as long a Survivor survive without be hooked.
Not sure how it would work no, but an infinite hook mode would be fun IMO
Would be neat in custom matches at least

Infinite Hook Mode; what would that do exactly?
Means you can hook the survivors as many times as you want, idk
-
@Dream_Whisper said:
I more lean towards a game mode, where every perk, killer, addon, survivors, and item is completed randomized and you can get 100% BP for it. A game mode called "Chaotic Randomizer"
Other game modes I like to see...
*Hide N Seek game mode, focus purely on survival for a good duration of time, and the exit gates are available. No hooks, 8 survivors vs 1 killer; if you get caught before like... 10 minutes or less; you are dead.
*2 Killer vs 8 survivors, regularly gamemode; yet double thr fun and numbers as well as perks; alot of teamwork and coordination. Killer's can speak with each other, so can survivors.
*prop hunt ; just because it would be fun to be a totem or generator or cheat or hook.
*offline game mode: Maybe a Single player/co-op game. In which sole or group of players can vs. Powerful bot/group of npc. Purely focus on the lore and story of the characters. License chapters might be tricky if not impossible.
An infinite hook mode would be cool too imo

Hello,
I am a big fan of DBD and i really enjoy playing this game and so far the balance of perks has been relatively fair.
However, since the new Gabriel Soma perks have arrived and especially ''Made for This'' the game becomes totaly unbalanced and nightmarish for the killer and especially 4,4m/s killers. Survivors run at a very high speed while injured and looping is now 10 times more easy then before, making the killer lose drastic amount of time while in chase.
Moreover, nearly every team that i faced uses Made For This because it is just so strong for the survivor, and is litteraly even more effective then the old Dead Hard version. Looping becomes unmanagable, and the game is loosing balance. I am very disappointed with this and it basically makes me want to stop playing DBD because of the endless looping potential survivors have no matter how hard you try to mind game them they still have higher speed.
Therefore I urge the DBD team to reconsider this perk and to nerf it in order to make the game more balanced. I would really like to continue playing this game but at this rate it just won't do, there is no fun in endless chases with maximum loop potential, you just want to DC.
Please take note of this message
Best regards
They already said they aren't right now
Deal with it

After playing him for a bit I came to the conclusion he does not do anything better than anyone. I find no reason to play this killer unless I am looking to a reason to hate myself.
He's the best for endgame tho, that's for sure
Skull merchant's info with dredge's teleport? Put on rancor, game Afoot, remember me, no way out? They're not getting more than 1 person out, easily
And before you say EMPs, just spread them out from each other, on almost all the maps there is plenty of space to put them on different walls or trees that can't be taken out with only 1 EMP
Yeah If the survivors are smart theoretically they could group up and all have EMPs to takeout all of them but I've yet to see this, especially since slugging the original obsession and waiting for the last gen to pop puts the game at 1v3

then survivers would hardly find any matches cause no one would play killer anymore.
then the survivers would stop playing cause they wouldnt be able to find any matches.
It would Kill the Game.
And the Game is Fine.
if a surviver gets knocked down after Borrowrd time and body Blocks by team mates.
then THATS A SKILL ISSUE. NOT A GAME ISSUE.
Dont change the Game To make Bad Survivers good survivers
and Good killers bad killers.

I've thought of something recently after I've been sacrificed once another time. Who doesn't know it, after the end of the game, when you were having a nice chat with your fellow Survivors or the Killer, they suddenly stopped responding or took their time with a response. Not knowing, if they had already left the Endgame overview.
So something I would start a discussion/suggestion about is an indication, of whether a player has left the Endgame Overview and fully disconnected from the dedicated server.
Whether that is a system message that is output within the Endgame Chat or a little indicator around each player's overview. Something like a 🛑 for reference.
That's actually it! Think about it, what would your opinion be on this? Either way, I wish you a great rest of your day.
Something that is only for like 1/3 of the playerbase?

So, it is weird that people can blind Pyramid Head. His head is a pyramid. He has no eyes. Pyramid head should be unblindable. Maybe he gets stunned by normal blinding things... but to actually blind? Nah. This guy should have Lightborn as basekit.
Now for the nerf. His power where he digs his swordy-knife into the ground and then releases it and the power stretches 15 feet or whatnot... Currently, he does this with leisure... But, if physics have anything to say about it, he should be slowed down when he sticks his swordy-knife into the ground. Even if your saying, its not in the ground, just touching the ground.. still.... he'd get slowed down. Most killers with ranged attacks like his, get slowed down when they wind-up... i.e. Huntress. It makes no sense that he wouldn't get slowed down. Please nerf and implement a slow-down for pyramid head when he winds up his power. He shouldn't be able to keep the same pace in chase with a survivor when he puts his swordy-knife into the ground. Its against physics and against the laws of this game, per other ranged killers.
P.s. if he does slow down when prepping the power... its not enough.. I don't see him slowing down. He's in chase with me, then he preps his power while chasing.. and he keeps right up with me... So, if he does slow, its a hair, which is just not enough.
It doesn't make sense sure but remember also wesker can be blinded even though he's literally wearing sunglasses, and so can sadako even though her hair is covering her entire face

I mean honestly, when do those devs learn anything ?
Another busted perk, out without any balance changes.
Survivor speed with MFT = 4,12m/s
Killers = 4,6 m/s
To catch up with a survivor 10 meters away, you need 21 seconds. Without MFT it would be 17 seconds.
It is a total of 4 seconds. A survivor using it is impossible to catch if he just runs from safe loops to safe loops.
Another busted perk that killers will have to deal with for months with all 4 survivors using it in every trial.
Do you guys even do the maths BEFORE releasing anything ?

Is it possible for Pharmacy to have 1 token. And able to rummage a chest once for a Green medkit? Because the current Pharmacy is so pointless to use.
Im used Pharmacy to get a Green medkit early, to give a teammate or use for my self later.
The change make it injured, which is its either escape from a chase (which is hard since killers usually commit), or after unhooked, but then, why should I run and spend time to find a chest, spend time to open a chest, spend time to self healing in 24sec. While I can stay there and let a teammate heal me for 16sec?
Just revert it tbh, it's already bad enough with the med kit nerf, you're better off just not taking the perk since you're just getting a brown medkit at that point when you already have a decent chance to find one

I don't understand why FTD affects things like Pig boxes or the Lament Configuration, because it's next to impossible to interact with these mechanics that are core to countering the killer when you're screaming and being forced to start your progress over again. We shouldn't die to Pig traps or be unable to solve the box because every few seconds we scream and lose our progress, and killers have been super obnoxious about this by running Undying and Thrill of the Hunt so that we can't even cleanse the FTD totem in the first place.
The perk is extremely weak.. on pig or Pinhead are the only uses for it, and they're not even good uses since it can still be cleansed, albeit just a bit harder

In my experiences if someone is slugging you it’s not for any real kind of advantage (such as leaving you to chase another survivor that was lingering by) but because they intend to bleed you out and will camp your body to do so. I’d rather be hooked.
Then they're wasting time for no reason
That's basically the same as camping, but for a lot longer giving your team a long time to do gens
If everyone else is downed then they are wasting their own time too, you can just go do something else for a bit till the bleedout timer runs out or they decide to finally hook you
It sucks, but again the situations I am referring to is slugging when there are still survivors not on the ground outside of "slugging for the 4k"

It depends on how long you’re left on the ground as the bleed out timer doesn’t reset with every recover.
Yea but if the survivors aren't all downed or the last survivor is in chase then it should not take very long to get back up, and if the killer has downed you a huge amount of times then yeah you should've probably had enough time by then to get a good amount of points if they were not camping your slugged body (which I can't see why they would outside of waiting for rancor to activate)

I don’t get to play the game longer. I just get to crawl around until I bleed out or someone picks me up and typically the killer is right there to down me again. I get no points for any of this. I’m better off being pulled off the hook - a mechanic the game was designed for.
You can't get saved more than 2 times off the hook while you can get saved multiple times from the ground
I really don't get it, sure it was designed that way but it's a blessing to the survivors more than anything, especially if you're on death hook

I'll preface this by saying that I don't think Sloppy Butcher's effect is OP. I do think its strong but I don't think it's too strong.
The issue with Sloppy is that it's too easy to apply Mangled and Hemo with it. On most killers it gives you such easy access to having both status effects on survivors for most of the game that you don't really wanna use anything ELSE that provides those effects.
There's certain other perks and a bunch of killer addons that also inflict Mangled or Hemo or sometimes both, but these are always going to just be compared to Sloppy, and with Sloppy always being applied on m1 hits, Sloppy almost always wins out with how easy it is to use. This makes other perks and addons that apply those effects much less desirable and used, and likely prevents BHVR from really ever wanting to add Mangled or Hemo to any future perks, because again, why bother using it when you can just run Sloppy?
I don't really know what I want them to do with Sloppy though. I don't think it really needs a nerf, and nerfing the perk JUST so that more people use other perks isn't... a great reason on it's own.
I'm curious what other people think. Does Sloppy make all other Mangled/Hemo perks and addons pointless?
Tbh I just think a lot of addons that only apply one of the effects should be buffed to include both so its more enticing to use over sloppy butcher, like how wraith has his addon

Yeah because slugging and hooking are completely separate states. We should stop comparing them like they are. Slugging has infinitely more potential to win then hooking does. But slugging is much more of a gamble than hooking. They are different states with pros and cons for both sides.
How exactly? You don't immediately die/get closer to dying than when getting slugged
By slugging you willingly, the killer is allowing you to stay in the game longer than you normally would, yet it's hated somehow
Its different though if he manages to get all 4 and simply decides to not do anything or slugging for the 4k however since by then everyone is pretty much dead if there is nobody with unbreakable (and if someone DOES have unbreakable, it's a godsend)
-
@DavidHypnos said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3345442#Comment_3345442
No, it’s because I’d rather not waste my time bleeding out. When I say I don’t like slugging I’m not referring to the killer leaving you momentarily while they go after another nearby survivor. Purposefully choosing to leave you slugged because it’s easier or to make you miserable is the issue. When something devolves from potential strategy to straight-up gameplay exploitation it’s an issue.
How? You get to play the game longer, get more points, everything since you can get saved an infinite amount of times until your timer runs out
Again, this is OUTSIDE of "slugging for the 4k" situations
If you want to die fast, why even play? Why not just stand in one place as soon as the match starts so the killer can hook you if you like being hooked?

you would rather be slugged to death and left to bleed out at the end of the game? instead of the killer just picking you up and putting you on a hook anyway?
I'm not talking about slugging for 20 seconds mid match, or when the killer slugs you to chase a teammate, I'm talking about when the killer manages to down the last 1/2/3 survivors and instead of ever hooking them they just sit there for 4 minutes bleeding out slowly.
If I am being bled to death on the floor I am no longer able to participate in: Doing gens, getting bloodpoints, pipping etc.
Correct me if I'm wrong here but there is no way of doing anything when you are being bled out on the floor. Unless you have perks to pick yourself up, in which the killer will just 1 hit you down again because they will basically stand on top of you while you bleed out.
The killer is not going to pick you up here, it's not like maybe you can wiggle or 4% off hook, you just slowly die and that's it, I don't know about you but I would rather die faster instead of having my time wasted
Yeah I'm not supporting that, I meant against killers that don't hook at all or only 2 hook everyone, not after they've sacrificed 2 already
What I was referring to is when there are survivors still able to pick you up outside of only 2 survivors left

Yes, yes I do.
No one tells me how to spend MY time on this earth.
....but why?
Do you really care about winning THAT much? You won't even win every game anyway, only against solo queue teams or mediocre ones

With Deja Vu changes there's no excuse for 3 gens...If you got 3 gen'd that's only on you at this point. Deal with it.
I think you forget abt solo queue and skull merchant..

because nobody wants to be "left in the game longer" when there is nothing to gain. You don't get bonus bloodpoints, you don't get extra chances to do anything, you are just forced to wait there and do nothing
There is though? Pip points, points in categories you are missing, etc
Especially during the event there's even more opportunities to get points with the extra generator points
And also, yeah I would, and by the poll I took here, the majority would rather be slugged
