That's a pretty stupid claim. Survivors aren't "camping" hooks. They are waiting for the killer to leave so they can get a "safe unhook" without penalties, and farming their teammate.
Survivors will absolutely abuse any mechanic to get a win. Also if i hook a survivor and then all 3 run at me and the hook why should i be penalised for being too close to the hook when the survivors have given me no reason to leave the hook
-
How do you define camping a hook? I know many survivor will define camping as "we ran right at the killer and the hook and didn't leave the area so the killer is a camper"
-
Had a game as the shape last night where i'm trying to carry a survivor to the hook and the rest of the team decides to try and body block. I dropped that person and went from 99% stalk to EW3 and downed the entire team

I think the implication is that he was part of project MKUltra, so he'd have to have been born much earlier than that.
Things like the vending machine and all the security cameras around the lery's map made me think it was more modern then that but both existed in the 1950's
-
I've pretty much stopped giving the last guy the hatch, it happened around about the same time i turned messages off.

The response to number 5 is simply not true. At worst the killer could focus on 1 door and get about a 50% win rate.
The current situation is horrible and simply unfair to the last survivor. The only time it's close to fair is when the locked hatch hasn't already appeared. Then at least both have a similar chance of finding hatch (still killer biased).
The most common arguments as to why EGC is fine are: 1) the game is asymmetrical in the killer's favor and 2) adjusting EGC a bit for the survivor is rewarding bad play/losers
This speaks to the fact that killers NEVER have to worry about matchmaking issues and DCs which are extremely pervasive in this game. The asymmetrical nature of this game is balanced for 4 man SWF or (to a lesser extent but close enough) 4 survivors of matched skill. Solo players, which are the majority on PS4 I believe, and how I play, lose games CONSTANTLY, and I mean sometimes like 3/4 of games in a day, because the asymmetricality of the game is horribly skewed. Every time a survivor quits early, e.g. for the highly common scenario where he's caught by a Billy/Spirit/Nurse in the first 5 seconds the other 3 are now in an unfair situation due to poor game design that doesn't properly account for people quitting at game start. Sometimes the remaining 3 fight it out and maybe 10% of the time it works. (And no, that isn't how it's meant to be because of asymmetricality. The quitting survivor should have been an asset much longer. The point is the other three do not deserve to die 9/10 times because of quitters). Mostly the other 2 get slaughtered and the 4th to die goes through the charade of EGC.
Bear in mind the above applies to not just DCs, but all times survivors are teamed with players that are not properly matched to their skill level, specifically at high tiers. Survivors that just go hyper altruistic and hook/die/camp hook area to save... that's not serious play. Survivors that potato and just crouch and hide 75% of the time... also not serious play. Yet they appear in top ranks all day long because matchmaking is not accurate enough in this game. And let me stress one more time, this is not something killers have to care about. They just lazily look at the "survivor team" as a unit. If one DCs early or plays like an idiot etc, oh well.. that team sucked. Fair game. No. You got to enjoy yet another game skewed in your favor while the other REAL survivors had to suffer yet again.
The EGC situation for the last survivor is really just the most obvious extension of this issue. Survivors usually aren't in the EGC alone because their solid team just got beat. And I agree that EGC would be fair if the matchups were fair. If 4 true rank 1s go against a rank 1 killer and he knocks them down to 1 guy. Yeah, they got beat. But often the best survivor hung in as long as possible with 1 or 2 idiots on his team and now he gets the final screwing. I agree this isn't the killer's fault or problem. He is just the lucky recipient of another easy ending and another 4k due to the game design.
As you put it "it's not the killers fault" but you would like to see them penalised in some way for it. The survivors are DCing in droves when things don't go their way, survivors will spam killers with hateful messages whenever they win or lose. Survivors say looping is the new meta and killers should git gud but are constantly complaining that the nurse is to OP because she can beating the looping tactic. I use to give the last person the hatch but i also use to have messages turned on. There is no reason for the devs to change the EGC, first to the hatch wins and survivor players don't exactly inspire killers to be generous.
-
I know that I'm going to get flamed like crazy, as people flame anyomne on here for saying anything - but the new end game crap sucks.
You don't need a free escape everytime either. Find the hatch before the killer does it's as easy as that. I've had games where survivors escape through the hatch, i've had games where the survivor has escaped through the doors. I have had games where the survivor dies before either of us find the hatch.
-
Borrowed time is also a thing, it still work on insta downs i believe
-
Let's just make it so the survivors can take the game hostage again for hours. The rule is whoever gets to the hatch first wins, but survivors will still run to the hatch when i've got there first to try and jump in. Luckily for me closing the hatch overrides that, survivors get a second chance at escaping after losing the hatch and still complain about.
-
Don't have one, i'm currently working my way through all of them. I'm on 6 of 16... i need to pick up the pace.
-
Didn't the doctor work for the CIA on a black site where he tortured detainees for information. I'm pretty sure that would at the earliest been born around the 1960's.
-
I always go for the stealth play as survivors, killers can't hit what they can't find.

She is just no fun to play against and almost a free win for killers. "Get good scrub!" Yea we haven't heard that one before, again you can say she's not broken all you want, still doesn't make it true. Obstacles are one of survivors greatest weapon against killers and she completely negates that . Couple that with the fact that the VAST majority of killers these days are running Ruin (which also needs the nerf stick).
If you want survivors to stick around in games and not either DC or suicide you need to provide incentive. Telling them, "Hey you have a 3 percent chance of making it out alive!" Is pretty much a sure way of having people give up once they realize its a nurse game.
Hey remember when survivors could get a free escape from the nurse by running to any multi-floor area because i do, now that is no longer a viable tactic she's OP. It was survivors making looping the new meta that has caused mass ruins and nurses to be used so. I do a pretty decent job of avoid the blink out in the open because i'm not going to be predictable running around the same object. Don't be predictable and use stealth.

Go for a stealthy build and disarm the traps at loops points. It will either force the killer to waste time resetting them or clear up the loop point. Got angry at how often i needed to reset traps. I did also sometimes give me people to target.
-
I've turned off messages on ps4 because it's 95% nasty messages from survivors to killers, 2% nasty messages from survivors to other survivors, 2% nasty messages from killers to survivors and 1% actually nice messages being sent.
-
The number of times i've been left on the hook to die while all 3 survivors are working on the same generator and the killer has left is ridiculous. If someone does decide to come help it is when i'm literally 1 second from death, then they'll spend the whole match chasing you down to farm for healing point.
-
I agree with you that the trapper has it rough with having to collect his and a limited carry amount without add ons. also can his traps still be broken by toolboxes?
-
Will i get banned if someone reports me?
I imagine it's still bannable even if it gives you no advantage since you're not suppose to be on those objects. It will be more a case of salty survivors reporting so they can have a power trip.
-
I had a game today where i would of gotten an adept hag but i was only using one of her perks because she was level 1. When i actually have 3 slots to have 3 perks it will probably be a nightmare to get.
-
Sometimes the in game situation calls for a bit of tunnelling and camping just as sometimes it can call to go out and put on some gen pressure. Not everyone abuses the mechanic and if i was to list everything i did in game that made me a camper in the eyes of the survivors it be a very long list.
-
Posted before i finished, i don't think there is a happy end for the survivors. They either get devoured remain trapped or potentially become like the killers.
-
The lore is the entity is putting the survivor through the trials to give them hope so that when they finally lose all hope the entity can devour them. At least i think thats the official lore
-
I feel like there will be people who will intentionally target any character that is identified as LGBTQ+
-
I haven't experienced a delay with the hatch. Last night i had a game where both me and the survivor went for the hatch before it had a chance to open. As soon as it did i closed it before the survivor could jump in.
-
Then everyone would play the same survivors because there would be no reason not to play the best character
-
Probably trying to make it so they can't be picked up or near by so they can be heal if they get off
-
Also so many people use small game because so many killers use ruin and noed
-
Yes i'm going to run into the basement with a camping insta down killer. Breaking hooks is dependant on having an item/perk. Totems and chests are hardly worth the effort point wise. Generators make the most sense but can give away your position depending on the perks killers have. So trying for generators become really problematic when the sole attention is on you.
-
I've come across several that were well hidden even with small game

That's why points is the better option. If you can't do gens, you can still prove you were trying by getting heals, saves, breaking totems, distracting the killer, and lots of other options
I couldn't do any of that which you suggested in that situation. Maybe totems
-
I love it when i'm playing a stealthy killers and i approach a generator just as it's repaired and i just stand behind a corner and wait for the survivors to run into me. Had a game recently as the wraith where i decloaked as all 4 survivors ran around the same corner and caused a pile up. Gave the person in front a good wacking since they couldn't get by me or turn around because of the other 3 survivors
-
I had a 2 sacrifice daily with a level 1 freddy, got 4k. I like getting the little job of doing something different. Still not fond of the hit 4 people with the hag one, but at least they removed the stupid kill dailies
-
I was in the 20% when i played wraith... good times
-
I go out of my way to destroy totems sometimes the killer still has NOED and sometimes i'm the person that finds that out the hard way. At least i wasn't camped out of the game in the first 2 mins
-
When i have played survivor i have had games with some complete brain doners for team mates. I would of loved being able to get the hatch back them because i was the only 1 who didn't run into the basement as soon as a LF or billy hooked someone instead of trying to repair 2 generators on my own first.
-
So today i had a game where i had to resort to camping. i was playing as the shape on the family residence map and had a really hard time. The survivors were really alert and i couldn't sneak up on them to stalk as they would run through all the plants and stuff on the level. I couldn't get out of tier 1 till after 3 gens had already repaired. By the time i was actually able to hook 1 person the game was pretty much over, i figured i would try for some points by unfortunately camping to get a single kill. Sometimes things go wrong and i needed to make the use of my add ons and offering profitable, not every act of camping is not done just to be nasty
-
Doesn't help that people rage quit rather then give u the kill
-
I'm a switch and if i can reduce the time i need to grind out the bloodweb as a survivor i'm happy. If the devs said that my survivor items no longer recharge between games i'd still be happy.
-
Please send the jakes my way he's the last head i need for LF
-
Tell a lie there was a huntress with a nasty build that used a ebony mori after everyones 1st hook
-
I've had a a handful of mori's come up as a survivor every time the killer has waited till there is only 1 survivor left to use it even when they didn't need to. When playing as the killer today came across a really toxic SWF group and would of loved an ebony mori for that game.
-
I just like the idea of changing the cosmetics inbetween every round so you keep switching members
-
Don't all survivors meet up at the camp fire in the middle of the fog between trials, the only safe space.
-
And they would have to give thorough checks to multiple maps, the majority of them being completely unbalanced on top of their current work load.
-
I like the idea but could only work for KYF, the amount of time the devs would have to spend to check if the map is suitable for public use would be way too much.
-

Sadly, I think you only get Frank and Julie when you prestige. And I'm positive you can't get bloody versions of the clothes in the store unfortunately.
The devs could add them to the store

@martin27 not always viable, like when gates are opened. Tell me, if I camp you then, would you get mad and accuse me of camping? Or do you expect me to just let you stroll out the door?
Depends on the when, 2mins into the game yes but i'd deal with it and move on. After all gens are powered up then no. Sometimes you just got to take the stun and move on or slug them till after the 60 seconds are up.
