I only hate it when i get slugged as the killer searches for the last person to get his 4k. I get why he is doing it, I just want to die already so I can get into another match.

Uhh.. yes? Why even have a ranking system if the matchmaking isnt going to take it into account?
If you went perfect matchmaking then you better plan on waiting an hour or more per match....

If they aren't enablers then where is my sound? One side like it or not gets second best status over golden child side. If the power role was killer like it is supposed to be you wouldn't get entitled survivors because they wouldn't be enabled knowing they can roll over a killer.
You got a 4k over survivors that were all ranked better than you, I think you are in the power role. What are you even complaining about? The fact that some idiot sent you a mean message? Doesn't matter who the devs cater to, these people will still exist. Grow some thicker skin or turn off your messages.

They are enablers.
Not really. There are toxic players on both sides. If the devs were to change something to favor the killer then you could make the exact same post that they are enabling toxic killers.
-
You can't really blame the developers for toxic people. No matter what changes the developers make, these types of people will not.
-
Definitely a grind, but I am an addict unfortunately so I keep playing.
Won't buy the pass until the end just to make sure i get far enough.
-
I have been between rank 6 and 11 killer the past couple seasons and those queues are instant 95% of the time. The only time they aren't is usually in the morning hours.
-
I think the tome challenges are adding to the problem. I love that they added something else to do, but when survivors only focus on completing their personal challenge it can screw over the team.
-
When a killer is bringing a survivor to a hook, body block the hook. Right before he swings at you, drop the firecracker and most of the time it will blind him. This was the only way I could get a flashlight save during the last tome.
-
I got one yesterday thanks to breakdown. Don't know why i had it equipped but it worked. I unhooked someone and the killer downed me shortly after, he tried to take me back to the same hook and didn't realize it was broken! By the time he figured it out he didn't have time to go to another hook.
-
I am happier now in 4 out of 5 matches as a killer. The old ruin was cleansed in 30 to 60 seconds most of the time.

I think those %’s are different on PS4.
When I load up a lobby and immediately see only 3 survivors there, then I dodge and the next lobby is 3, dodge again and 3 again... yeah you cant tell me that’s not SWF waiting for some random 4th low rank to eventually get funneled in.
There is no way to tell on ps4 anymore. The 3 people you see loaded up could be 3 solos or 2/3 man swf. No way of knowing. I only play solo and have been in lobbies with 1 or 2 others before a killer joins.
-
I found that the higher you go in ranks, you will get less hate mail from survivors. It never goes away completely, but definitely dies down. Try not to tunnel/camp and you will not only avoid hate mail but you will get more bloodpoints.
-
It can be abused also. I had a match on cold farm where I was chasing an injured survivor in the corn during egc. The other survivors kept spamming pallet vaults or lockers non-stop so I couldn't hear anything. I guess it was a good play on their part, but I don't think it is what the developers had in mind. It isn't necessary for the locker/fast vault explosions to be that loud.
Definitely not necessary for demo, aka stompy, to be so loud.
-
It isn't any slower than having someone heal you.
32 seconds solo or 16 seconds with two people, no difference.
My only problem is if they run across the map to hide in a corner to heal, that is what wastes time.
I only play solo and suck at looping so it is pretty good for me. I would rather run inner strength, but I don't have it on everyone yet.
-
I had the opposite happen, I tried 5 or 6 games in a row and could only get up to 3 stacks. Somehow it registered the challenge as completed during one of them.
-
Any so called rules go out the window once the gens are done. Don't apologize or even feel bad.
-
Downed the last survivor close to an open gate. There weren't any hooks close and since the egc timer was pretty low, i decided to watch the entity come and take him. Turns out he had unbreakable so I got a nice view of him running out the gate.

No, way too many variables. Some maps are great for certain killers while others are not.
Although this keeps the game from ever being truly balanced, I think it helps to keep it from getting too repetitive/boring.
I don't mind that in one game I might get a 4k with no generators done and then in the very next game I won't kill anyone. I just try and have some fun and hopefully get 4 stacks of bbq.

Hands killers the game? Seriously? You must be in the low ranks if your whole team gets beaten by noed. I'm a survivor main in red ranks and most matches that killer has noed it won't even pop because i run small game and destroy all totems during the match. On the rare occasion it does pop I'll just find and cleanse it before going for the save or we all leave and the killer gets a 1k. Noed is not that difficult to counter, just do the bones and the killer will only be playing with 3 perks. I don't get people that complain about it.
I agree completely, if more than one person dies because of NOED then that is just bad play by the survivors. Don't try and save someone while NOED is active, either cleanse the totem (like you should have done during the match) or leave.
-
I don't think it would be a good idea, he is just too small and would make many mechanics just look silly.
-
I used ruin a lot, but I am not too upset over the nerf since half of the time it was gone in 60 seconds anyways.

Does lightborn help with this bug?

Shhhhhhh! We need more BP!
Gotcha!
BHVR, fix the bloodpoints please!

I ain't gonna promote any childish behaviour, this is just a game, there are bigger issues than Ruin:
Maps
Matchmaking
Ranking sistem
Pipping sistem
Emblem sistem
BP sistem
Some killers need buffs
I agree with everything except the bp system, what is wrong with it?
-
Depends on the challenge, if it was a simple "just escape" then i will go totem hunting. If it was something like the dark senses or spine chill challenge, then peace out I am leaving.
-
If you want everything all at once, then yeah, it is expensive. No need to do that though, pace yourself. Once everything is unlocked you will hate that you have to wait 3 months for a new character.
-
No, because I am not 12.

I have yet to see an optimal swf beat 100 optimal killers in a row. Link and I'll follow the herd.
Of course they aren't going to win 100 in a row, but they will definitely win at a much higher percentage. That is what most people are talking about when they say that the game is survivor sided.
I believe that the low ranks are killer sided, high ranks are survivor sided. That is why it is hard for BHVR to balance the game. And then you throw swf/solo in the mix and it is nearly impossible.
-
I would love to get rid of every Haddonfield map offering that i have on my killers...
-
I hear you about the useless addons. Free shards for those would be awesome. I would even be happy with some bloodpoints.
-
Sounds good, but the shards are already a free bonus. You don't really "earn" them, they are awarded for game time. You get them whether you play well or are afk the while time.
It would always be nice to get more, but you can't expect a company that is trying to make money to just keep giving away more free stuff.
-
I don't mind the nerf, i have wanted to experiment with different builds anyways.
I am a little upset because of their reasoning. They are catering to new survivors by taking away something that killers of all ranks use at a pretty significant rate.
The new ruin doesn't sound very good and nothing else was done about the real problem of gen speeds.
-
You must not have been camped or tunneled very well if you escaped 6 of 7 times...
-
Maybe he is just warning us that he is going for an achievement :)
-
I wouldn't change it, just do gens when it happens. It sucks when you are the one on the hook, just be sure to struggle as long as you can. Don't reward the killer by giving up, that is probably what he is hoping for.
The problem i see with stopping the hook timer if the killer is within "x" meters is that once the gens are done then I see nothing wrong with a killer camping and securing his hook. Why should he be forced to leave in that situation?
-
Thanks for the link!
532 hours for me.
-
In what world is splitting BBQ into two perks not a nerf?
-
I agree that wglf could use a buff. I don't agree with the mentality that BBQ should get nerfed if you don't get your way. Sounds pretty childish. Just stick with trying to get wglf buffed.

It's easy for a team, not so much for solo. If you "do bones", as in all of them solo you miss out on so many points and likely a pip as everyone else gets the gens and unhooks and chases.
Also everyone knows most survivors ignore totems, so many killers have one perk that can easily turn a 1k into a 3k. Yet here you are acting like it's everyone else that's coddled.
Just take NOED and have the EZ win. No skill required.
If more than one person dies due to noed, then that is on the survivors.

Had someone do this to me this morning as I was playing on Pale rose. The boat gen was already done and he kept jumping in and out of a locker on the boat. I just took it as this guy isnt being productive, so lets hunt his teammates who ARE working on gens.
I DO wish something would be done about the explosion noises though, since those are deafening when your trying to hear more subtle things like grass moving or a survivor moaning.
@Peanits is there anything that can be done to mute the noise after the first 5 explosions or something?
Very annoying to say the least. During the egc I had an injured survivor that I was tracking through the corn maze escape because of this. Couldn't hear anything because of the non-stop explosions.
-
Rank 8, 40-45
-
Nope, I usually just hear it at the end when survivors are near the gates and they want me to see them tbag. I spend my time looking to close the hatch...

New players or anybody that doesn’t have X chapter would be more willingly to purchase it. Comparing Freddy to Leatherface, the Dream Demon is a much better killer. Leatherface has BBQ though, which is the best killer teachable perk that helps reduce the grind on this game. Most people solely buy him just for that perk and not the killer, which is an issue. They also have cosmetics that 90% of the time are mainly Auric Cells. They still make a lot from cosmetics.
True, I didn't think about the people that may have not purchased the original chapter.
I still don't think it would bring in an amount anywhere close to a new chapter, but maybe it would balance out since reworking an existing chapter shouldn't cost them as much as it would to make a new one.
-
It sounds good, but the reworked chapters do not bring in any money like the new chapters which is the problem.
