  • T-bagging is childish and annoying, but not really that big of a deal. Definitely not worth wasting any programmers time to come up with a way to stop it. Plus it is not always a bad thing. I have used it as a way to say hi to fellow survivors and even as a thank you to killers that farm with me or let me escape. Do we really need to waste behaviours resources on something just because you got your feelings hurt?

  • My queues are pretty quick on ps4 also. Usually less than 2 minutes either side. Ranks 8 thru 14...

  • @Volfawott Musical hooks, nice! That is the only time I like playing against swf. They never want to leave anyone behind.

I love slugging. Unbreakable is one of my favourite clutch perks, and I can pair it with Tenacity for a superslug build. If you get tunnelled, you can at least buy your team time or even lose the killer if you're good enough. But camping, facecamping in particular, is just the worst. Not only is it an inefficient strategy, it's not fun for anybody involved.

Tenacity drives me nuts as a killer, I will down someone them break a pallet or stop a gen and when I come back they are gone! Usually I can find them if I am using my headphones, but it can be tough with tv sound only.

  • I don't know exactly how the rank reset works, but doesn't everyone end up playing the same level of player again? Like the rank ones go to say rank 7 and play other former rank one players that are now at rank 7. Unless of course the matchmaking is way off like it is sometimes...

  • Play fair when you can and ignore the post game chat. Some people will complain no matter what. My advice is use BBQ which will encourage you not to camp but also give you bonus blood points. Also, always try to get the person that is unhooking rather than the person that just got unhooked. This will help you avoid being accused of tunneling (and avoid decisive strike) As soon as the gates are powered then you can throw these rules out the window, do whatever necessary to get some kills.

I got called sweaty by a swf team because I tried to secure at least one kill at the end as clown on farm map. The funny part: they sweated their butts off to get everyone out but I managed to kill 3 at the end. I laughed hard when they called me sweaty because they tried everything, coordinated unhooking, bodyblocking etc etc but I'm the sweaty one right? I just wanted 1 kill.

Nothing better than sweaty survivor salt! I had a similar one where the SWF group picked haddonfield and wouldn't leave when I hooked someone during egc. The three of them managed to save the person but all died during the process. I was using myers, don't know why anyone would try that against a killer with one shot..

Running spicy add-ons, perks, and offerings together becausr they're in a "Bad Mood". Or they want to ruin the match for everyone. Running stuff that spices up the game a bit once in a while is good. Too much of something is always bad.

How can anyone know if they are running those add-ons frequently or not? I rarely use ebony moris (only when there is a daily ritual for it) but i will be called sweaty for it. I usually get a pretty good laugh from it. Although I am apparently a sweaty killer, I don't sweat the post game salt!

  • Here is a different question but it is related to shards. I am on ps4, if I buy a chapter or character with shards will it be available on my sub accounts? My daughter and nephew are subs and they like to pay every now and then. I have always paid cash just to ensure they can play the new stuff. I would hate to have them have to play on my account because they would basically be rank 20's playing in the greens. (Probably more like purples and reds with the current matchmaking)

And lets not forget that (aside from licensed dlc) all the killers and survivors can be purchased for free AND the perks all eventually end up in the Shrine.

I hate having to pay for things (since I work a normal job with normal bills) but this is a game that offers everything for free quite reasonably and I haven't seen anything too greedy yet.

A lot of people even got the game for free with playstation plus.....

I decided not to spend any more money on the game until they fix the glitch where the camera controls invert. I haven't really paid attention to DLC or cosmetics since and don't mind missing the battle pass. I'm glad other people are buying this stuff though. It makes it more likely some of the bugs will be fixed before the game is abandoned.

    Are you on ps4?

  • I would have said no, but then we recently saw some new pig outfits so I think there is a chance.

  • @IWannaPlayAGame said:

Ok, the Rift 1) pays you back the money you spent on it, 2) gives you stuff for free (including the currency to get the halloween cosmetics just for playing), 3) is for purely cosmetic stuff, 4) Everything you can get there you'll eventually be able to get later for direct purchase if you "missed out." There's legit no reason to not like this change unless you're just opposed to battle passes cause "Fortnite bad" because it not only brings in more content (cosmetic or lore wise with the Archives) but also just a breath of fresh air for ppl who are burnt out. I'm not trying to argue with you, just maybe wait until it's out and give it a try before we all just jump on the hate bandwagon.

It's pointless to argue with these people. I don't understand how anyone can complain about something that adds content and is totally optional. It doesn't even affect gameplay if you don't buy it.

  • Sounds like you pay $10 and if you do everything you get 1000 auric cells ($10) back. That's a pretty good deal if you can pay once and keep renewing the battle pass for free.

  • I think it is a great deal. Companies need to make money to keep the game alive and they have found a way to do that without forcing anyone to buy anything if they don't want to. You know what happens if you don't buy the battle pass, dlc, or cosmetics??? Nothing! It is still the exact same game that you have been playing and you are not at any disadvantage for not buying the battle pass.

@kcwolf1975 You do earn enough to break even. Meaning if you finish the track everytime you'll gain a return.

That's great! Why is anyone trying to say that this isn't great for the game. Buy it if you want to or just use the free side. Either way it doesn't affect gameplay so it isn't p2w. Some people just have to complain about everything...

  • I thought I read that you can get 1000 auric cells back if you did everything. Wouldn't that be enough to buy the next season? That would be great because I dont like the idea of shelling out money every other month , but if you can earn your next season then I would be all over it. Can anyone confirm?

Ah, so many toxic killer mains here.

Ok, lets put this into play...

You solo queue into a survivor game with a random team, you don't know if they good or bad players, you just know they the same rank as you. You spawn in and start working on a gen, killer has ruin so you decided as the good player you are, you go look for ruin and other totems of sources. While looking, the killer gets into a chase with you, and you are unable to get any totems cleanse because you being chased. None of your teams worry about getting the totems and you can't do anything because you are getting chased. Final gen pops and you hope your team gets the gates open as you run the killer around. But wouldn't you know, the killer has NOED and everyone dies because no totems were cleansed, this was the only time everyone got hooked because the killer just isn't good enough to get anyone until now.

So don't tell someone to "just cleanse" because stuff like getting chased and bad teammates happen.

If you give up a 4k totally during the end game then that is on you. As soon as the first person gets downed by NOED everyone should be on full alert and either get the hell out or carefully search for the totem that you should have cleansed during the game. NOED should only give a killer one or two downs MAX. Any more and that is on you and your teammates.

  • Oh yeah, eliminate all Haddonfield offering too :)

  • Oh yeah, hide all offerings too. Would stop a lot of dc's.

  • SWF does suck but it's not going anywhere. Most SWF players aren't the super organized team that you think they are. They are just people that like to play with friends. A lot of times they are easy to beat because they go for the save almost immediately. Also, if you eliminate swf then we would lose a decent portion of the player base which is the one thing that could end this game.

I've been told that I could get banned for trapping exit gates. Hilarious.

How dare you hold them hostage like that!!!

  • I am usually between rank 10 and 13 but I get matches within 2 minutes now that the bloodhunt is over.

  • Maybe a future map could incorporate this mechanic in place of hooks, just to mix things up. Picture a dungeon that uses these instead of a basement with hooks.

  • I like the idea and it would totally take care of the hook problem, but there are many other factors that would still cause problems. Windows being one, and your line of sight would be severely hampered on most maps.

  • Just give bonus stacks (like bbq) for each survivor that gets hooked in the basement. Don't make them be required to die there because that would highly promote camping.

  • I liked the hallowed blight event where you had to harvest the nectar. I would add that so you could earn something extra in a game (auric cells would be awesome but it would never happen). You could even give a slight speed boost to the next gen that you repair so that it wouldn't be a complete waste to your main objective.

As a dev has stated themselves on these forums, missing out on something that everyone else is getting is as much of a punishment as taking something away from someone.

There are plenty of skins that you can buy, what is wrong with having a few that can only be earned? I would rather they lengthen an event than just make them available to buy.

The flip side of that is that earning something that everyone else can just buy isn't that much of a reward. I suppose that the Detroit lions should be able to buy a super bowl because they didn't get a chance to play in one. I am guessing that you think participation trophies are a good thing too.

  • @indieeden7 said:

Devs just don't want to add any more exclusives and I can get behind that. Players shouldn't be punished for not being able to play during an event.

Not being able to earn something because you couldn't play is not a punishment. It sucks, but it is not a punishment. You didn't lose anything buy not playing. Those who can play would like to "earn" something that is special and not something that you can just buy in a week or so after the event.

I know some matches had really crappy outcomes/players with regards to 2nd Objective events...but I enjoyed having something else to do/look out for. Was a nice change of pace and added to the intensity of matches. I wish BHVR would jus balance and tweak things instead of outright removing things. A special Gen/Hook is...boring.

What if the harvesting the nectar would add to your repair speed for a certain amount of time? This would give you a secondary objective that would waste some time but then gain some of it back if you worked on a gen afterwards.

  • I wish there would be a secondary objective too, but it is tough to do one that doesn't throw the killer to survivor ratio out of whack. If one side is much easier than the other then everyone plays that and the queue times get way too long and nobody gets to play.

  • It is nice when everyone is using bps, last bloodhunt I managed to get 240k in a match with 5 bps and bbq!

  • Just curious as to why people save the streamers for this event, doesn't the blood hunt only double your base points?

  • Not that crazy to think that if a killer is swinging a chainsaw down on top of a pallet, that if someone is sliding over that pallet then they would be hit. Same goes with hitting thru a window, of course a killer can reach thru it, if it is open for someone to jump thru then it is open for a killer to reach thru.

  • Sorry guys, they made the iri hatchets for me because I am lucky to hit 1 out of every 5 throws!!

  • As a killer, the footsteps are pretty loud and annoying. Even with that, he is still a great addition to the mix.

  • Ram head on hallowed blight huntress

What are you talking about? This DLC would cost MORE than the BASE ENTIRE GAME!!

That can't be it... BHVR using more and more of EA tactics and if they continue, will lose my trust very rapidly.

What crazy tactic are they using? Offering new content to anyone that wants to buy? If you don't want it, don't buy it! It doesn't change how you can play currently, but it does give you a new map for free. Stop trying to make it seem like pay 2 win.

  • No need to change them, just make them less common in the bloodwebs. I see way too many of those and not enough bloody party streamers.

  • Not at all. Sometimes I let the last person go if there was a dc or if i thought they played well, but I usually want those bloodpoints.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

absolutely boring to play against and should be 2 hook

It is absolutely boring to play against swf, adrenaline, ds, dh, etc.... Let's nerf all those too.

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

But yeah the easiest way to balance mori's is to make it after 2 hooks.

Stupid idea. Survivor is dead after two hooks anyways. Moris are fine how they are now, maybe just make them less common in bloodwebs.

  • They are fine how they are, just a little too common. In the bloodwebs, I see more of the ebonies than the ivories and cypresses combined. Also what would be the point of making the ebony require to hook someone twice to be used, they would be dead regardless after being downed again, barring a flashlight miracle.

Wait till the next Hollowed Blight, if we get another event for Hollowed Blight

I hope so, those are probably the best skins out there.

  • @screamdreamsx said:

All offerings should be secret, to people can’t DC when they see a secret killer offering. Plus, since for survivor it’s either all start together, or you start as far away as possible, the killer can use this to make their first move, as there’s a 50/50 chance if you head to the furthest away part of the map, you’ll find someone. Seeing what other BP offerings people play isn’t game-changing so I can’t see a reason why this can’t be secret too. It’ll also stop the farming when people see bloody party streamers.

Great idea, would solve most problems. Any devs have thoughts on this?

  • @Peanits said:

That's a slippery slope. Why stop at 3? Why not 4, or 5? As is, having double the perks is a massive change. You have to fill out half as many level 50 bloodwebs as you used to and you have double the chances of finding a perk you want. There's a decent chance you won't even need to level all the way up to get the build you want anymore.

We're taking things one step at a time. This isn't the only change that will ever happen. We'll keep an eye on it and see if it has the effect we intended.

Any word on when the new bloodwebs go live?
