Okay lets talk

Okay so i made a post regarding an idea about prestige but the more ive continued to soak in the whole "bloodweb changes" the more it's made me realize the devs dropped the ball on this one they took a great idea but failed the execution why only 2 perks per web why not 3?

I know someone is gonna be like "veterans are mad but fail to see its good for newer players" but still man this was a really missed opportunity to do something the community has begged for since day one just sucks man they behavior'd a really good idea and instead they dropped the ball on a potential HUGE change that could have helped everyone.

Just sucks man i hope they take into account the fact they missed a really good chance to really help better the game more then what this current "bloodweb change" could have done.

Honestly id love to hear a devs insight on why only 2 perks vs 3 perks per web id honestly love to hear the reasoning to why.

  • Speaking as a vet, if ive read the change right now im getting 2 perks instead of 1since im always leveling p3 lvl 50s now with my survivors. If this is right im cool with it.

  • That's a slippery slope. Why stop at 3? Why not 4, or 5? As is, having double the perks is a massive change. You have to fill out half as many level 50 bloodwebs as you used to and you have double the chances of finding a perk you want. There's a decent chance you won't even need to level all the way up to get the build you want anymore.

We're taking things one step at a time. This isn't the only change that will ever happen. We'll keep an eye on it and see if it has the effect we intended.

I understand your point i dont mean to sound entitled its a good change as is dont get me wrong but it does not feel as good as it could have been though needless to say i respect future changes are coming as well as it's in the eyes of the team just wanted to voice my opinion on it as i felt `1-2-2 was a little odd.

Either way i do thank you as well for atleast going through with a change to it.

Any word on when the new bloodwebs go live?

  • @Peanits

Having double perks is NICE, but we can still only GUARANTEE one of them.

They said taking a perk will still cause the entity to take another perk, so even getting 2 as close as possible and then taking one of the two you want risks the other being taken. From there, it risks that the next node taken could ALSO be a perk. Meaning you can never ensure getting anything more than the top priority +1.

This is a quality of life change when grinding to collect EVERY tier of EVERY perk on a character, but the general grind and frustration of levelling a character to 50, at any prestige, and getting garbage perks is still almost exactly the same.

The devs have seen HUNDREDS of proposals of how to alleviate the grind in this game, or how to at least make it less luck-based to get a playable build, and they somehow picked the one option that really doesn't do it well.

Please, at the very least, at levels 40+ allow us to take 6 nodes on the bloodweb before the entity takes any, even if that means taking two perks will cause it to instantly take the two remaining ones so that we still have a say in the perks we get.
