Because PC killers had to deal with PC survivors for 4 years.

You're lucky. I get complains (in chat because I don't like people leaving them on steam page) all the time if I slug people around to avoid DS. I meet so many players that think sluging unhooked people is tunneling.
Heck, I had people collectively DC on me because I refused to swing at 360 and trashtalk me for that in chat, so I kinda stopped caring.
Yes it seems familiar. I got blamed for tunneling when I throw one hatchet to unhooked person and slugged him while chasing rescuer.
-
Well, if someone farm you with bt and he is got injured it is a good idea to protect your rescuer while you have endurance status effect. Also I never seen someone using DS complain about tunneling. Sometimes I could tunnel the ######### out of person that DS me. I was expectig a ton of tunneling complains in the end game chat or in my steam comments. But it never happened. Somehow people that use antitunneling perk never complain about tunneling.

I used to enjoy playing Pig until they added delay before roar. Pig could oink very fast and funny if you spam m1 in ambush mode. Now she oinks awful because they inecreased time beetween roars.
-
I played yesterday. Hag was killing 3rd survivor with devour hope and it was total silence. Suddenly sound of opened hatch nearby jumpscared me. I wish I had Left Behind to be prepared for this.
-
Waiting for 2 minutes is crazy, I can't believe someone do this. Expirienced killer knows that survivors most likely spawn in the blocked gens area so he would go check there first. I think the best solution is go find gen in center of the map to prevent 3 gens situation in the end. That is my strategy as survivor no matter if killer has corrupt or not.

I'm just answering the OP's question, I said nothing about your reasoning for using a VPN (if you use one.)
As I said I don't use vpn. I just saying for killer it is not easier to hit target with a high ping. It doesn't make you aim better. If I could play with normal ping I would never make my ping higher because there is no advantage in having high ping. For killer there is no difference to play with high ping or low ping. So I wouldn't consider vpn use to get easier hits for killer as you said.
-
@HollowsGrief said:
There are two reasons to use a VPN, the first and most often is because it allows you to have a smoother and often faster connection. The best way to think of it is a traffic shortcut, you could take the main highway or you could take this back road that you know about that cuts off 10min from your drive. The second reason is to ping into a server you otherwise wouldn't access normally, such as someone from China pinging into the west coast US. Normally with how the game works you can't ping into a server like this but a VPN is capable of tricking the server into thinking you are closer than you are by "changing" the IP address that the server sees. This is an extremely basic explanation from a tech perspective but that is the basic jist of what is happening. In short, the worse your connection as killer the easier it is to get hits you really shouldn't be getting, and that is the primary reason people VPN into servers they really have no business playing on, other people however use it to improve their connection to the server they always play on anyway, which is a good thing for everyone involved.
I not agree about easier hits. I not using vpn but I live far from server so I have ping 100+. So yes, sometimes game register hits when survivor managed to hide behind corner. But from killer's perspective it is absolutely normal hit. Not harder, not easier. It is harder for survivor to dodge this hits, maybe. But it doesn't mean easier hits for killers.
-
That's become a stereotype. I actually don't see this much of toxicity. It happens but not as often as it represented by community.
-
Also having only 1 hatchet makes you extra patient and precise. So in right hands it is still pretty op.
-
It is pure masochism. But I tried to play like this and sometimes survivors dc before they realised I have only 1 hatchet.
-
I didn't played dbd with cross platform yet but I guess it may be a problem with controller jukes that pc killers not get used to at the moment. Give it a week.
-
I do survivor rituals only if I have incomplete archives for survivors. As killer I do almost all rituals except Ghostface.
-
As Killer I have seen survivors who was downed first extremely fast. So I consider them as weak opponents. But after first hook they may show me such a high looping skills so I realise I underestimate them earlier. If Killer easily downed you first it is not nessessary because he stronger than you. There is no reason to give up this early.
-
For me as survivor I actually mostly enjoying to save teammates. Especially when it is end game and someone got hooked. It is realy satisfying to unhook someone and guard his way to exit gates. I even enjoy to sacrifice myself if it helps someone to escape. Game is not over when you got downed. Hook stages is your consumable resourse. If you wasn't hooked and you see Killer tunneling dead on hook person you may bodyblock killer's way to save your teammate because it will give your team more time they need.
-
You underestimate the value of times on hook. Killer got to catch you at least 3 times before you die and it gives your teammates a lot of tme they need. Plus times of your teammates on hooks and you will see that hook stages is not only your but whole team's valuable resourse. If you would keep playing and not dying on first hook you actually may escape and have fun.
If you have fun only playing against weaker opponents it is something wrong there. You not gonna have fun most of the games because you are not trying to get to the level when you don't care about how strong the killer is, because you refuse to learn. Also you not gonna have fun because you feel bad for screwing up your teammates constantly. In that case if you not have fun in dbd you would quit playing it because you not enjoing it much.
-
I think he do belong. We already have supernatural Killers. Also he wasn't born demon. He became demon.
-
I use mori only when I want to get rid of all add-ons and offerings from my p3 character. For some reason I feel complete when I have all perks and no add-ons and offerings.
-
I never rage quit before dc penalty was implemented because I respect my teammates even if they play poorly. Now I rage quit only when I get tunneled and killer use mori on me. At this point it doesn't matter if I leave my teammates behind because killer already get me out of the game. I would rather wait 5 min than get moried off the hook.
-
I got a game recently as Huntress on Shelter woods. I injured 3 survivors and hooked one of them. When they unhooked him they get back straight to gens. So while everyone was injured and focused on gens instead of healing it wasn't problem to down them one by one on such an open map. I could slug one is someone is nearby. They managed to finish couple of gens before snowball grows. When I killed all of them they called me a toxic killer for some reason. Seems like they expect me to wait untill they finish gens to make it fair and not toxic.
Gen rushing is a strategy to focus on gens istead of healing and unhooking. Sometimes it's good for killer, sometimes killer is helpless against it.

NO.
Its turn it into some CS:GO level bullshit where people sell stuff for hundreds of dollars because they know some poor fool out there will buy it for that price.
If you want to sell your offerings, items and add-ons.. why not implement a way to sell them in-game for 25% of the value you bought it for in the Bloodweb?
He suggest to trade for bloodpoints. Not real money.
I would like to sell my items and its add-ons. Not nessessary to other players. It could be just deleting items for bp or small amount of shards.

But the killer did do something wrong. you are essentially hitting a ghost. Something the survivor can't see or react to.
If the survivor was in perfect sync they would use dead hard or attempt to dodge the hatchet etc, But because they assume they are safe because they are further ahead they do none of this and get unfairly downed.
How is hitting a ghost is wrong? Ghost is all Killer have to deal with. Killer don't know where are survivor is. All Killer can see is a ghost and he chasing only thing he could see. If hitting a ghost is wrong so what do you suggest to Killer to make it right?

When you see them appear and hit them, probably they are behind the wall yet. But that's ok for killers
Exactly. I mean I hit them where they are on my screen. It is completely ok for me. I didn't miss, I hit exactly in the hitbox. Yes it is not because survivor did something wrong. But killer did nothing wrong either.
-
Why do you think is a vpn? There is no point to make your ping higher. I live in Kazakhstan and I have ping 110-135. I don't feel like I have an advantage when I play huntress. I hit survivors where I see them appear. In this time they are already behind the wall but I don't know about that. So when I play huntress I play normally. This is not my advantage, this is survivor's disadvantage. So what the point to use vpn that doesn't give you an advantage? I'm sure that if I had an opportunity to play with normal ping in equal conditions I would play the same as I play now. I really want BHVR open closer servers for Russian community so you would stop complain about vpn users.

Jakes and Dwights are rare but still around. And there should not be problem with Meg and Claudette.

Why do killers care so much why survivors do anything they do?
Killers don't care. Teammates of this selfish survivors do care because it make them lose.
-
Margarita gens with size of 2 gens stacked. No, I don't miss them.
I also like Kate's shirt and it's permanent part of her outfit since I got it from the event. And I was really dissapointed when it dissapear from inventory for a half of a year. And I don't like Billy's bbq hammer because it covers half of the screen.
-
There is often gens and totems spawn by the edge wall. So hatch sometimes spawn by the wall too.
-
This is why I prefer playing killer. Playing survivor is frustrating because of selfish teammates. I don't mind if you can't loop the killer, I know it takes time to learn how to mindgame. Focus on the gens then. But don't dc or suicide! I get survivors suicide even if when our team was winning with 1-2 gens left. Like why you go play if you don't want to play? I absolutely hate to lose when it is even not my fault! So when I play killer I know it is most of the time only my fault I lose and there is reason to think about mistakes and improve next time. As survivor losing because of someone don't want to play there is nothing I can get in result but frustration.
-
I like this 4 points in "Did you have fun" section 😂

Well done dude!
A few days back I got the achievement to throw 1000 hatchets, and the one where you mori all survivors with T3 shape (I'm bad with names)
Yes! Michael's Evil Incarnate! Tha was most satisfying achievement in dbd! I upgraded Michael to p3 to get enough add-ons and I was ready to do a dozens of tries and one day it finally happen. Also guys in post game chat was so nice to me with congrats.
And another happy achievement was a Where Did They Go?!?. I get it with my friend and two random German Twitch streamers that played super coordinated vs 5-blink Nurse with Franklin's Demise on Lary Institute. One of them found my key on the floor and saved me from hook and another one bodyblocked our way to the hatch, which was lighted by map add-on. That game was unforgettable.
-
I really like the idea of extra totem spawn
-
In theory if Killer has this tier 3 perk and hook 4 people, +2 lit totems from hex haunted ground, +1 totem lit from hex perk #3, +1 totem lit from hex perk #4. So we need to have 8 totems with this build but we have only 7

He was a car dump worker who killed people unknowingly because his boss had ties with the mob... So he killed his boss.... How is that not interesting?
I remember lore I just tried to make it shorter. It is interesting, but why he become invisible as a result? When I watch movie I really want it to be as consequentional as possible. I know movies that was interesting but ending was so terrible that make all this movie horrible. Like Watchmen 2009 for example.
-
Swf have downsides as Otzdarva once noticed.
- They are overaltuistic, you can expect their flashlight and pallet saves so you not waste time looking for immersive survivors.
- If you trick one survivor you trick the whole team because he will give fake information to his team.
But of course you have to be expirienced as Otz to have this benefits.
I most often lose to swf because of my wrong mindset that they are stronger than me. So my hands start shaking and I rush and make a lot of stupid mistakes. But it is not boring. Just frustrating.
-
I had a game yestarday. Claudette was on first hook during EGC and her last teammate escaped. She unhooked herself with 4% and I downed her in front of opened gates. I picked her up and she didn't stab me. So i dropped her and let her escape. In end game chat she said that she missed her ds because of that UI scale.
-
Even Netflix series wouldn't be good, because they will require make a black Dwight and lesbian Claudette and write a long side story about their lgbt problems.
-
Most of them woldn't be good in my opinion.
The Trapper. He was a miner who was admire his crazy father and now he catch people in bear traps. #########?
The Wraith. He was a car dump worker who killed his boss in rage and now he get a ritual bell that makes him invisible. What?
The Nurse. She was a hard working nurse and gone mad because of bad conditions. She suck everyones breath and get ability to fly and go through the walls. What the... How?
It's fits good in game because of Entity and her trials. But i'm not sure you can do good movie out of that.
-
We already have Ace with his crazy outfits...
-
I wouldn't say that community just attacking the devs with complains and never appreciate their work. Amount of playerbase speaks for itself. Also there tons of content on youtube and twitch with people having fun in dbd. There is also tons of fan art and other fan made stuff. Community shows their love to devs too.
And we all can comlain sometimes when we feel helpless. We can't see new auras, we can get our favorite perks ok characters nerfed, we can just lose 10 games in a row because of something overpowered being abused by opponents. This is not just attacking, this is a feedback from community to devs.
-
I don't know if i'm color blind or just blind but I played yesterday and lost about 3-4 survivors out of grasp just because I couldn't find hooks nearby. That never happen to me before this patch. Are they made spawn less hooks on map?
-
But I agree about challenges. It is not easy one and it depends on luck if you doing objectives and not chasing Killer intentionally.
-
I still get blinded sometimes when I not pay attention about survivors with flashlight nearby and just rushing to pick up.
-
I actually prefer playing Killer anyway. Even if I lose it is not that frustrating as being killed.
Survivor have to rely on other survivos to win. You can get teammates that suicide on first hook because there is something they don't like. You can get teammates that waste every pallet without trying to loop once. You can get immersive teammates that hide in corners and lockers instead of doing gens. You can even get teammates that refuse to heal you even if they just have to touch you. You can get all your teammates dying in basement in first minute of the game. All that scenarios lead you to lose even if you are good Survivor.
If you are good Killer you can lose only in 2 scenarios. If you get a bad map or if you get strong swf group.
-
I don't think dbd is ready to have another game mode, because it will divide playerbase which is not big enough. I guess it will massively increase queue times.
But I've been thinking about different game modes. What if there will be 2vs4 mode and Killers are not coop but compete for kills?
-
Make it unchained. And make it take legendary effects only when all 3 pieces weared.
-

I HAVE ALL THE DAMN PERKS, I PLAY HUNTRESS I DONT MISS MUTCH HATCHETS, My perks are bamboozle, Brutal, Iron Maiden and POP,
You have no perks that help you find survivors faster. Try out some new builds. I like to run aura revealing perks on Huntress. BBQ, Nurse's calling, I'm all ears. Also really helpful perks are Discordance and Whispers.
-
My favorite build is Distressing, Coulrophobia, Thanatophobia, Sloppy Butcher. It can be easily countered by genrushing but I love to run this build anyway.
-
I logged in everyday and I got a hat on Deathslinger, shirt on Claudette and 2d cake charm for everyone.
