Dead hard should have some start up time and then give you endurance. Just so that if i'm right on a survivor and i don't see the animation i can swing and know it will hit. I don't really care that it works well around pallets, i just don't want to wait everytime i catch a survivor in a dead zone
Killers being able to see hookstates please, the amount of times i have a game where one person disconnects and i want to put everyone on dead hook before sacrificing them to atleast have some semblence of fairness only to fail cause i have the memory of a goldfish
MoM reverted to giving regular endurance for only 2 protection hits again. unpopular oppinion but it was way better that way
Beast of Prey make it so bloodlust last 10 seconds longer out of chase so you can use it to leave a chase and ambush people
Autodidact should give a token if you finish a heal without getting a skillcheck.
Bite the bullet should activate if someone is healing you too
Calm spirit remove the action speed penalty, what the heck
Technitian remove the added penalty for failing a skill check, what the heck
Diversion grants 1 bp for hitting the killer with the rock
there really is no reason killer cant see individual hook states-its not like its impossible for us to know, lol

I mean it seems pretty wild that adding something as little as a profile picture takes almost a year after that chapters release.
agreed, but maybe the site has bad code so its harder than we think

Wesker, Dredge, Onryo, all the corresponding survivors.
thats odd. maybe they were delayed because of the forum rework?
-
no. hex perks suck, plus thana isnt good enough to be a hex, it would just be a further nerf that isnt needed
most killer perks punish survivors as a whole for other survivors mistakes. pain res, dms, devour hope, blood warden, and many many more. they have to effect all 4 in some way
-
genuine question, what makes hug tech an exploit but something like cj/locker techs arent?
-
who are we missing?
-
tunneling is the optimal playstyle for killer in the current meta. with people bringing SO many gen perks, coh, medkits, theres no other way to consistently win against super good players. why should i waste my time going for someone with 2-3 healthstates with DH, when i could go after someone whos already close to death and has 2 healthstates?
-
we dont need another way for survivors to rage quit and get around dc penalties because the game isnt going their way
if everyone is slugged, yes
being the only one slugged shouldnt be an excuse to give up and go next
-
might be a hot take but self unhooking and struggle phase skill checks should be removed all together. killing yourself on hook is just a work around for dcing at this point
-
theyre as toxic as camping and tunneling with twice as many counters, skill issue
camping and tunneling arent toxic and neither are flashlights
-
-
nah it promoted tunnelling
-
you need to center him, have 40% or more of his body visible. I dont see why people try to reveal, 90% of the time its better to just keep making distance or use los blockers
-
cope
killers dont know if theyre playing against 4 solos or 4 friends on comms with the best items, perks, and offerings. killer HAS to play aggressive and "toxic", because if they play "fair" they will lose with 90% of the killer roster. tunneling is simply the best tactic currently, and camping is easily punishable outside of endgame-and in that case, ######### do you want killer to do? check the 2 doors on opposite sides of the map that they have no control over except stalling for a bit if theres more than one survivor left? theres no point in doing anything BUT camping in endgame to try to secure a kill

yea i feel you most of the recent killers powers just completely undermine what is fun for survivors and i really hope that bhvr will realize that zoning killers aren't healthy for gameplay. tho they clearly haven't learned from the knight since they just released yet another zoning killer.
It's really starting to turn me off from playing survivor when they keep making killers that remove your ability to express your personal skill as survivor
expressing skill with most killers that arent anti loop is punished because most non anti loop cant keep up against survivors that just stick to gens like leeches. They cant get downs fast enough on the modern maps because of how safe they are. With no way to force them away from a loop, they can just play ring around the rosie for 5 gens
-
anti loop is hands down the best type of killer in DBD. it might be fun for survivor to loop the killer all game, i admit theres no better feeling when you play survivor and get chased for a long time, but it is NOT fun for killer to just run in circles chasing one person for an entire game. with how busted some maps are, anti loop killers are a necessary thing to have in dbd. Something this community needs to learn is that fun for one side isnt always fun for the other. you just gotta cope with it and move on

If I'm not mistaken, then the bhvr promised that the game cards would not be repeated if it had just been, let them do the same with the killers that after the nurse there would not be another nurse. Here the problem is solved
maps are different than killers. killers arent just a slightly different area, there are actual people who play killer. they cant punish people for playing a popular killer
-
3 genning is a smart choice on any killer. survivors complain about every single strategy killers have-three genning, camping, tunneling, the only thing killers can do apparently is chase all 4 survivors in order, giving the rest time to do the gens, resulting in a 4 man escape if the team is even the smallest bit competent at looping considering how safe the modern maps are

Good idea at first glance ... but Hag and Twins players do not DESERVE any BP buffs ...
yes they do
just because you played against a twins/hag who played in a way you dislike doesnt mean the entire playerbase of those killers is like that
especially twins-it takes SO long to hook as twins that there is NO reason to do so when you could keep trying to snowball.
-
@NerfedFreddy said:
Yes we need killer ban system
no we dont.
if every survivor can ban 1 killer from going against, and theres 4 bans per lobby ( one for each survivor), then the top 4 killers will NEVER be played. Kill rates will sink because people are forced to play much weaker killers to just find a game, then get stomped because killers that arent top 4 all suck in comparison
-
this idea has been said before and will never happen
bhvr isnt going to punish people for playing a popular killer.
especially a licensed one, that feels like theyre begging to lose the license
if a killer is popular its because either 1. theyre fun, 2. theyre new, 3. theyre strong, 4. theyre the focus of a tome, or a mix of these (wesker is 1 and 3, knight is 2 and 4 for example). punishing people for playing a killer for any of these reasons promotes not purchasing the rift (harder to complete killer specific challenges with longer queues) or not purchasing the new killer all together.
how often do you see people play Artist? Trickster? God forbid, Twins? Or any of the m1 only killers (Ghostface, Freddy, Myers, Pig, Trapper, Hag)? Rarely, because in the current meta these killers arent fun, rewarding, or strong. Theres no reason to play them when there are killers that can win much easier and dont get punished by perks like coh or dh as often or as hard. If this feature ever gets implemented, it will kill the game

This chapter seems like an experiment to see if sex appeal can sell mediocre/bad original content. Not only is this the first sexy killer, but we're getting two survivors, one male and one female, both attractive. There's no license behind it, nothing else to propel players to purchase it.
I don't see BHVR addressing or changing anything major until they determine how important visuals are in the sale of a new chapter.
"the first sexy killer" people simp over the plague-a woman with a missing toe and a disgusting disease who pukes on people. the trickster is shirtless in his base cosmetic. dbd doesnt need to try and sell a chapter off of sex appeal, this community is down bad as is

People’s gripes are pretty clear. It’s not accurate to say people just “don’t like it.”
- Killers design looks like a Fornite or Apex character.
- Killers power is weak other than 3 gen play, which is disliked by most and is a main criticism of the Knight. Even if buffed it is still very boring.
- The perks are weak and will be little more than bloodweb pollution
People seem to like the Survivors themselves and the map changes.
our last killer, the knight, also looks like a fortnite character because fortnite invented knights, along with women with short hair
-
theyre doing all they can by buffing the skull merchant. they cant just remake the whole chapter, they cant just full reanimate her, her mori, rework the drones entirely, and give her a new model in a few weeks
-
excellent questions

It should be expected for both sides to get at least some of their objectives done every game. You have to remember that gens get harder to repair the less there are left
it shouldnt be expected. sometimes killers have games with no hooks, and survivors have games with no gens. One side can ragequit without a dc penalty in a fraction of the time
-
the current meta encourages it. perks like hyperfocus/stakeout, coh, and dh, and items like bnps and syringe and anti hemmorage make gens shorter, heals shorter, and chases longer. Every game the killer has to do the same long chases on the same unfun survivor sided maps, and it very often leads to a lose unless youre playing a meta killer with a meta build and/or tunneling. tunneling is encouraged because sure, you could go for the unhooker with 3 healthstates who hasnt been hooked, or you can go for the freshly unhooked survivor with 2 healthstates at most. Its a no brainer choice- you bring yourself closer to a kill, or you can let them go heal in 5 seconds and get on a gen with the other 2 survivors while you chase the unhooker for 3 healthstates
-
i just dont like perks that exist solely to correct a players mistake. Misjudged how many times you can loop a pallet? Dont worry, you have dh
also considering how bad most maps are lately, having so many safe pallets and god windows (haddonfield can burn in hell) i feel like its one of those perks that makes killer just total hell to play
-
people dont play certain killers for a reason
-
i think if you do it with the left stick it works but i might be wrong
-
@Phasmamain said:
Losing 2-3 gens is pretty normal on first chase and should realistically happen every game just like the killer on average gets 5-7 hooks per game
Best you can do is play the 5 gens that you’re left with and focus on creating dead zones to lead survivors into especially if they predrop pallets
that should not be normal. Killer should just be expected to be losing from the start, but if killers are ahead on their objective, survivors give up.
-
there were two fengs with no mither, the cheryl perk that gives endurance after picking yourself up and bo who camped the top of the eyrie main building. bled them out and still got one of the other survivors before endgame. worth

like that wasn't the case already with tunneling ,plz
hence why i said "increase". eruption at least made the killer leave to kick at least one at most 3 gens to get value out of it. now there is NO reason to kick gens, passive gen regression perks are better, and promote tunneling.
-
be ready for a further increase of tunneling with pr dms
-
going from a medieval to a (presumably) futuristic killer is sick
-
you knew they wouldnt be useable, its your fault for stocking up on a limited time offering
-
his charge isnt charged until you see that little "whoosh" around him. Dont worry about him until that, and once thats there, see if hes the type to wait or instantly charge, then play accordingly
-
the guard goes away after you start to unhook. youll get once, whether or not its a knight
-
youre playing blight, tbh you have no right to complain
-
this will never happen for a variety of reasons
- survivors will give up after the smallest inconvenience (killer they dont like, they go down first, etc etc)
- this system will probably need to be a vote-both sides need to agree, and the winning side will NEVER give up their win for the other side's enjoyment (which is how it should be, tbh)

So, are ya'll not reading/ paying attention to the comments about killers. How is it that killers keep getting buffs and keep trolling survivors and no one does anything about it. I have had to repeatedly report killers for trolling, not participating in regular game play, and unsportsman- like conduct and it doesn't seem like it does any good (and I know other players that have to do the same thing)? How is it that you are supporting a single player per match (one persons money) when there are 4 other people that are playing to have fun (x4 the funds).
This game is entirely Killer sided. Wiggle progression has been repeated reduced, on top of hooks being practically on top of each other. There are zero repercussions for killers face/proximity camping. Survivors should still me able to attempt to get off the hook during first faze if they haven't been hooked yet. Survivor is meant to be played in a teamwork mindset, however killers are allowed to slug and bate other survivors, which completely negates the motive for teamwork or any sort of co-op maneuvers.
bhvr is NOT killer sided, survivor just got a HUGE buff, not to mention they got to keep their meta with equally strong perk combos (stake out/hyperfocus is STILL a massive issue). Hooks need to have close spawns otherwise that will be abused by survivors to become unkillable. what exactly is "trolling" to you? facecamping? tunneling? those arent "trolling", its playing the game. "unsportsman like conduct" isnt for camping/tunneling, its for being salty in egc. stop with the false reports. without killers, survivor queue will take ages (look at evil dead as a PRIME example, nobody plays demon in that game, demon queue is practically instant compared to survivors 20+minute queues). Survivors can attempt to unhook during first phase, that hasnt changed lmao.

adrenaline already counters freddy we dont need more nerfs to an already bad killer

Being camped and tunneled to death does not make it fun or rewarding. Casual everyday experience. It does not even feel like you lost to somebody better. And considering the stats it never will - so long as kill rate will be above 50%. It will always be about you lost because the game is stacked against you. I even provided nice example explaining it for which I was called "biased".
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3334890#Comment_3334890
Sure they don't. Most of my killer games (and I do play killer too. People want to win sometimes too) end up in 3K or more - or at least I don't loose (2k). I even don't play stronger addons then yellow most of my games and don't camp or tunnel and still win most of the times. Killer is significantly easier then survivor. And it will be that way until devs actually balance the game towards fair 50%.
what killer do you play? rarity of addons doesnt mean #########, ghostfaces best are brown
-
i would love this, but it would need a lot of work. animations for like, 20 characters, the "okay" from the many license holders to kill their characters, and it would need to be a risky final chance that only good survivors can execute and not just a free escape
-
this would be abusable asf, punish new players, and lead to even more 4 regression nurses

Exhibit A: 6.1.0 PTB Initial testing patch for the major perk changes. Where OTR would stack with (then 5s) base BT, allowing a survivor immediately hit off hook to take a BT hit, then still use OTR after to actually deter tunneling. This was heavily complained about on the forums and Reddit, especially with a couple of video clips that showed survivors throwing the game to try and stack the on hook effects. People still complain about the 'Endurance meta' even though this was only ever on PTB for about 3 days and was changed before it went live *because of feedback*.
Exhibit B: 6.2.0 PTB for Wesker chapter. Reassurance was on cooldown with infinite use during the ptb. Again, the perk was heavily complained about as being too good to counter camping and some people went as far as to say it 'could be used to hold a survivor hostage', though to this day I've still never seen evidence that this actually occurred, or could occur with a killer who isn't afk. If that was the reason for the change, the answer to griefing with it was two allow the person on hook to cancel the effect, which was also proposed as a solution to both problems. Instead, the perk was limited to one use per hook event before it went live. Again, based on feedback.
So there's absolutely some group that is vocal enough that BHVR is making changes based partially or completely on that feedback. And these changes are directly opposing both camping and tunneling.
camping and tunneling is all a killer can do in endgame. no gens to protect, they just have to kill. reassurance and stackable endurance gave survivors a guarenteed escape in endgame

it's not meant to be easy on any one side. Killers should not get their kills handed to them on gold platter either. They should earn them.

I am pretty sure I read more math books then you sir.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3333887#Comment_3333887
we will see. If the trend with survivor-incentives most of the time continues, then I guess you are up for a surprise
killers do earn their kills, its not like they can just immediately kill you if they find you. they have to have skill with their power and in chase
