im still in awe that they added an infinite in 2022

survivors with endurance shouldnt be able to drop pallets or have collision

we should definitely punish the killer for camping.. nobody cares about you trying to win
we should punish survivors for doing gens too, then, nobody cares about you trying to win.

tunnelling can and should stay but not tunnelling should be rewarded

probably too similar to cheryl in appearance

if we get dead space, the survivor cant be isaac solely because of his armor
-
yes
it promotes slugging, punishes the killer for trying to hook, and is way too easy to abuse. unfun and unfair perk

What was being thought when BHVR decided to monetize DBD how they did? I can understand full priced DLC for licensed characters, and I can even understand paying for original DLC (although unlocking two characters with shards per DLC is awful to grind, and three is straight up impossibly annoying), but where I get pissed is the skins.
This game, that you've paid full price and then four times over on top of that, decides to charge 10-15 PER SKIN, with very rare sales and F2P MONETIZATION TACTICS. Limited time cosmetics, removing cosmetics that were already available in the store, making 15 dollar skins that are barely different from the 10 dollar skins, and making it damn near IMPOSSIBLE to grind the skins for free.
Shard prices for skins should be HALF of what they are, and epic skins should be 5 dollars for a COLLECTION of skins, not 10 PER SKIN. DBD's monetization is god-awful, and I feel like I'm playing a gacha game when I look at the cosmetic shop because of how much these skins cost.
I seriously can't recommend buying skins, and with this prime free rift pass, you can get the rift pass for free for the foreseeable future. Please, don't spend more money on skins in this game. The monetization makes me legitimately angry.
(Note: This is not a hate letter towards BHVR, I am simply very upset with how this game has chosen to monetize itself.)
killer skins ESPECIALLY need to be repriced. you barely see it ffs, dont get me started on the legendary/ultra rare category-$15 for a skin, while a character is $5 and comes with perks, prestige cosmetics, and customizeability

they put her and the survivors in tome because I'm sure the chapter didn't sale well tho I skip tho challenges where I have to use tho characters.
tho you still buy with shards but I'm not wasting my shards.
the tome needed so much time to design, do you really think they could do it in a few months? make skins for at least the three TOT characters, lore, art, and models for charms and such? do you understand how long things like that take?
-
he literally cannot get any.

buffing survivor for solo queue buffs survivor as a whole, so they need to be very careful otherwise theyre making swfs even stronger

Being addon-reliant in a game where you can choose two addons of your choice whenever you want wherever you want is irrelevant + I'll take Exposed status on everyone, longer lunge distance and faster vault speed over stealth any day.
its not really irrelevant. at base, ghostface is simply better than myers, and without tombstone/infT3, ghostface wins in the add on department too. Hell, infT3 and tombstone arent even that good if the survivors arent braindead

Bloodlust being lost to breaking a pallet is really dumb lol.
it is, it should be changed. killer should eventually win the chase if they dont drop it, i think that would lead to less camping and tunneling since the killer can know that theyll down someone else if they stick to the chase instead of needing to tunnel
-
they should stay. otherwise a single survivor could get an unhook for basically free with 0 risk
-
@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
No. It just promotes camping and stand off like when happend with hatches before the rework to them.
hatch stand offs would take hours and there was nothing the survivor could do but wait or die. in this case, the hook stand off wont take that long-the survivor on hook will die, or another survivor will come to help
-
@versacefeng said:
In this day and age it should be removed. Same for bloodlust.
bloodlust is NOT as good as some of you think lol. you cant break pallets or use your power, youre an m1 killer who cant break pallets for a LONG time in exchange for a slight speedboost

People are dismissive because the OP's statement is pretty far removed from reality.
Myers' power itself is fine and just needs some tiny QoL adjustments, don't know how this narrative got started that his power is somehow horrible considering they gave Ghostface a slightly modified version of the same freaking power and people think it is great on him. His addons are also fine as they mesh well with his kit and do have place an appropriate amount of hindrance to counter balance the effect. He's one of the few killers who has Iri and purple addons that make sense for him and are actually worth being Iri and purple. Your problem isn't with Myers, but your teammates in 99% of the situations where you.
He's not remotely in the same situation as Blight.
ghostfaces power is leagues better.
myers is very addon reliant while gf isnt, not as much as myers at least.
myers loses his stealth in t2/3, and cant get it back. he cant crouch or lean around corners like gf, and he only has limited stalk unlike gf. gf has none of the issues and all of the benefits

I don't think so either you can not give up without tunneling
but if you dont tunnel in endgame after a bad game, you will lose

Lose the game, gotta happen at some point
well yeah, but killer isnt gonna just give up, and they shouldnt. that makes the game less fun if one side gives up after a certain point

So, yesterday I had the same scenario a few times and it's absolutely stupid. I am playing a bloodpoint build because I want to hit the 2 Millionen Mark before the new Bloodweb Update goes life.
So I bring Decisive Strike, Deliverance, Prove Thyself and Kindred
The gens where completed pretty quickly since the killer chased one survivor for the whole match. So the end game starts and the survivor get's hooked, I trade with them since the killer Camps him. Then I get unhooked and.....Decisive Strike is deactivated because it's the endgame and I get tunneled again.
I don't understand how this change is fair. So the survivors gets punished because the killer wasn't able to spread pressure or hook me before?
Decisive Strike works only 1 time, is only activated for 60 seconds and deactivats itself anyway when you do a Action. Why this stupid "It's the end game so your perk is worthless" crap?
that shouldve been the only nerf ds got imo. in endgame tunneling should be encouraged. what else do you do??
-
neither. leave it as it is, its not good anymore, let it rot

This just hurts to read tbh. This was their chance to redeem skill merchant and it’s only gotten worse
whats wrong with this photo? like genuinely i dont see it

no
3 genning is a situation killers can cause, yes, but also one survivors can do on accident. thats on them, why punish a killer thats just protecting the last 3 gens? why would i leave the last 3 gens? its not my fault theyre close together, i didnt guard those 3 specifically, i just have to now. it isnt fair that the killer would be stuck in a lose lose situation. Chase survivor who might not even be on deathhook-theyll lead me across the map, i lose last gen and lose the game. dont chase survivors, ill eventually lose the last gen anyway and lose the game

Why do many people use Dead Hard?
The reason is the nature of this game.
In this game, you can get a thrilling experience through psychological warfare during a chase with a killer.
The base for this is deadhard.
Of course, the better a killer is, the harder it is to win a psychological battle.
Even if you use Dead Hard 5 times in a game, you won't make it once.
BHVR doesn't know how many people use Dead Hard
We're gonna have to see how many times we've got in a game and how many times we've got
It is very difficult to make a success of Dead Hard.
But it's very stupid to make the conditions worse.
I won't be able to have a thrilling experience in this game anymore.
BHVR killed the game.
people use dh cause its op, lol, nothing else. dont act like its for "the thrill" or anything like that, its the most used because itsthe most powerful hands down
-
i dont understand people who dc when theyre dead too, like mid mori or when theyre on death hook lol.like, boo hoo, youre losing

lets continue the trend with the meta shake up BHVR.
Dead hard was meta for six years now its been killed,
Now lets do Nurse, Blight and Spirit nerfs
These killers have been a constant in the meta since the game's release/when their chapters were released. That being the case lets nerf them into the ground :)
Nurse can receive more nerfs to actually push her from her No. 1 spot and same with spirit who is a close #2 we can do a pass on all of Blights addons as well to kick him out of the meta and lets get rid of that pesky scoot and hug tech that even Mandy said was not intended and is actually bug.
This will allow for more diverse gameplay and playstyles to flourish :)
yes for nurse and spirit, no for blight. let blight be number 1, nerf his add ons a little and hes a balanced killer

I would like the "sprint" to be activated by a button, not when you start running. "Sprint" is like a second wind, so I think button activation would be appropriate
then its just better old dh. if sprint burst was activatable whenever i genuinely think it would kill the game
-
then hes just blight with extra steps and less rewards. oni doesnt need nerfs, hes pretty balanced.
-
i dont see how this is something that makes tunneling harder? moreso making NOT tunneling easier.
-
this has got to be the worst tunneling fix ive ever seen
-
they cant do dismemberment because of how their models work

I highly doubt that, they just look different on the outside is all it's just a new skin. The underlying model and animation rig is still the same as their base model.
The only killer skin I know of that might be different(?) from the base rig is HUNK Legion and it's a small difference. Looked bad on released and needed changing.
thats animations, thats not the model. the model is the physical appearance (like you said, making legion look like HUNK), maybe the artist skin has unique animations, and thats cool, but any skin that isnt a recolor uses a different model (hell, even some prestige weapons do in order to get the veiny blood look)

Tbf i just assumed Minotaur and Krampus were at least to some degree (heads and legs/feet for example must be completely different right?)
i know it’s not true for all of the legendary skins
i will look into the actual models/meshes later on this weekend anyways..
minotaur and krampus are 100% original models (minus power items like the bat thing and traps respectively, which are always identical no matter what skin you use)

No, that's wrong, they do not. Birkin is the only one of those that has a new model. All those others you are mentioning are the same model with a different skin.
are you aware what a "model" is? a model in a game is the look of the character. some use the same models (like the default recolors every killer/survivor has and prestige) , but most use new models for skins that are very rare or hire. they all have unique models. artists jabberwock skin looks nothing like a xenomorph

thats not exploiting. It’s a mechanic in the game :) "exploiting" is using merciless storm after being aware of its bug :). Using a mechanic the developers put there is not exploitation.
yeah, if 99ing sprintburst is an exploit, so is 99ing anything else (heals, stalk, gates, gens, etc)

yes they do, theyre entirely new. same with sadako's ultra rare, birkin, the crypt tv skins, etc etc, all are entirely new models.

its random. sometimes theyre close, sometimes theyre far

no. every killer is strong in a 3 gen

I’m curious… you believe dead hard is unfair because it grants the survivor an extra health state correct? That’s what I’ve seen the majority of killer players say is the issue with it.
If that’s the case, do you also think it’s fair for killers to have perks/add-ons that give them the ability to insta-down survivors? I mean that essentially gives the killer the power to deny the survivor a health state. I’m talking about things like starstruck (if you get hit with starstruck on you, instant down) huntresses IRI heads that instantly down survivors, trappers add-on that is instantly downs a survivor who hit their trap, and then of course bubba and billy with their chainsaws, just to name a few examples.
Im curious how it’s seen as fair for killers to have these abilities that deny a health state but it’s not fair for survivors to have a perk that (IF they use it juuuust right) gives them an extra health state.
This isn’t an argument about the different between perks, add-ons or just basekit abilities. This is literally just asking about how it’s fair to give the killer the ability to deny a health state but not fair for survivors to add an extra health state if they’re skilled enough to use the perk accurately, assuming no lag or latency issues.
exposed perks are earned by downing or hooking survivors or kicking gens with the exception of noed. killers with exposed powers at base need to earn them too (stalking, drones) and all of the exposed statuses are extremely conditional and/or on a time limit (again, except noed, and devour, which is up to the survivors to get rid of). you get dh during the most crucial part of a chase, the end, where the killer SHOULD be able to down and hook you, pushing you further to death and getting closer to their goal. Instead, they hesitate at any moment where they can, being forced to hit at a pallet, giving survivors the ability to extend a chase and giving their friends more time on gens. What does the killer do? chase another person with 3 healthstates? they cant wait it out at pallets, so what can they do? dh is unavoidable, while you can LITERALLY wait out exposed statuses (minus the hexs i mentioned before) because it tells you how long youre exposed most of the time.
-
love both changes
the new dh will have no way to counter survivors getting it (aside from slugging, which it promotes). if its protection hit based, the killer can choose to hit them and maybe give them dh, or dont

I'm still baffled you guys have not figured out the combo of game afoot + rancor + no way out + remember me yet
Let them do gens, see how well it works out for them
that combo sucks ass
in order for game afoot to work properly, your chases to get remember me/nwo need to be incredibly short. if theyre too long, itll be impossible to get it to function in endgame with the time you have from nwo and remember me.
-
why are you healing close to a camping killer

dbd 2 would never happen. they would have to renegotiate all the licenses, and the last time dbd had a major update to their game, they lost some licenses and even original chapters (dbdm to netease dbdm)

Not even close. Killers can easily switch to corrupt, sloppy deadlocck.
Changing base healing speed is like changing base movement speed of killers to 105/110% instead of 110/115. Or like to make M1 cooldown to 4 seconds instead of 2.7.
corrupt, the perk that deactivates when killer gets a down, which will probably be much faster without dh? pass

Can't believe they nerfed a perk that barely ever worked and wasn't even good all because baby killers can't learn how to easily counter it!!! Wow!!!
this excuse makes NO sense. if it barely works and wasnt good against anything but baby killers why did EVERY SINGLE SURVIVOR run it EVERY GAME over sprint burst, the supposedly "better" perk?
