CoH (boons in general): If BHVR had made boons work like Hex's, than Boons would have never been a problem
Medkits and Healing: Idk who asked for this but I'm putting the blame on BHVR's poor choice of balance because of CoH (Even though medkits themselves weren't a problem)
Second Chance perks: These had to go, because killer's are too dependant on survivor's making mistakes, on top of that DH for distance extended chases pretty much screwing the killer over.
DS: Imo this perk needs to be deleted because of how unhealthy it is. The 6yrs I've been playing this game, the perk always makes it into patch notes at least once a year weather it's a nerf or a buff. I don't have a problem with the perk (its current state at the time of this comment) but it either needs to become forgotten or staked in the heart.
Edit: Spelling Error
Boons could never have worked like hexes, the only similarity that they have is that they are tied to totems, in every other possible way, boons are significantly weaker than practically all hexes.

Praying for Elvira myself as well

I think people need to learn the difference between a nerf and a bugfix...
-
I agree it's an unbalanced map, but on the complete end of the spectrum. 99% of the pallets on that map are ridiculously unsafe, with only a few metres of looping room on either side. The only correct way to play the map as survivor is pre drop and hold forward, which is crazy uninteractive and boring for both sides.

Explained thrice now why that didn't/doesn't work
Entity blocker also exists

Last time I checked, killers can also vault windows

Complaining about killers that barely get played
Just because something is rare to come across doesn't mean people don't have the right to complain about it. Buckle Up / For the People isn't a common perk combo but it's completely unfair, should we just not criticise it?
-
Are you sure you weren't just super close to the hook? Notification bubbles won't appear if you're too close to where the notification is coming from. The survivor being hooked may also have had Calm Spirit equipped, I'm pretty sure that also cancels the notification bubble.
-
Second most snoozefest killer, placing just behind Skull Merchant. The game is not balanced around a survivor being chased by 2 separate entities at the same time, and thus playing against Knight just feels uninteractive and unfair, regardless of whether or not you actually win a chase.
-
I don't think it does? Although you can't hook them, you can just slug them, same situation as Flip Flop + Power Struggle
-
You have to remember that at the start of a match, killer is at their weakest. All resources are still up (pallets and breakable walls) and there are 7 gens to patrol. Losing a gen quickly is sort of to be expected.
-
At that point, they do it to try and prevent you from getting points. If you're going to make them sit there fir 4 minutes, they're going to try and make sure you don't get many points for it.
-
I would rather see Wesker for the rest of eternity than play against any more Xenomorphs, he's essentially just old slinger with map traversal.

it doesn't count as a win mmr-wise, so i'd say it's whatever. It do be sucky if someone plays just to let everyone die tho
Yes it does. Any escape boosts your mmr.
-
It certainly doesn't help that this perk will force survivors to scream even when they themselves are hiding in a locker.
-
I'd say a lot of people are in the same boat as you, this killer just forces lose lose situations for survivors unless they predrop pallets from like 20 metres away. For a killer who already has amazing map pressure due to having no cooldown period for using tunnels, I'm baffled as to why BHVR thought crawler mode needed to be quite as strong as they decided to make it.
-
Quick PSA to everyone as well: currently, this perk will force survivors to scream, even if they are hiding in a locker for some reason??
-
I do feel as though turrets don't do all that much, but causing the Xeno to dropped carried survivors would be ridiculous.

Think as the killer , bait window or pallet drop and flamethrower placement. Most likely nemesis?
But the difference in Nemsis has an obvious tell that he's using his power, is visible over loops, and you can crouch to avoid his tentacle. None of those things can be said about a crawling Xeno.
Edit: Nemesis also suffers from a slowdown while charging his tentacle, and an even bigger slowdown once he uses it, Xeno's is laughable in comparison.

You would, actually. Pay more attention.
Paying plenty of attention, and I've still only played the new map without the use of an offering once.
-
I'd like it more if there was a little bit more indoor space, especially seeing as each side of the ship has an outdoor dead-end deadzone on it, but I'd certainly consider it to be one of the best maps we have.

This is already a thing, when a new map gets released, the map repeat prevention is disabled temporarily and the new map has an increased chance to appear.
Well you certainly wouldn't be able to tell

Not applicable in this case.
People who ask Blight and Nurse to be nerfed are usually MFT users. Pointing out hypocrisy is not whataboutism.
Stop using completely fabricated statistics, like you didn't even try to make this sound even remotely believable 😭
-
The exact same thing could happen if WoO wasn't even in play, why is the perk getting blamed for poor map design?

It's not about similarity, it's about the quality of video games in general.
Dbd has hardly any competition in the asymmetrical horror market, they don't have anything to be scared of because they pretty much have a monopoly over the genre

Boon placed, kicked, replaced.
Hex destroyed out for the remainder of the game. Totally pointless wasted perk slot.
Hexes however have stronger effects, are map wide, and do not have a sound queue to make them easier to find. It isn't fair to compare a perk that increases healing speed by 100% to one that let's you insta down AND mori survivors.
-
Nostalgia really does blind some people, huh? Old animations looked so bad compared to the new ones, especially the injured running animation, you would glide across the ground.

I wouldn’t put it that harshly, but yeah they’re just as inspired as twitter’s new name and handle
I certainly don't mean that they aren't suited for their position at BHVR, just the job of making cosmetic flavour text.
-
The games aren't even remotely similar, why would BHVR be scared?
-
But we can now Bunny tech without having to DC by using Plot Twist, I think that's a fair trade off.
-
The only thing I would change about it is make it so it doesn't take effect within X metres of a hooked survivor, I feel as though this restriction should also linger in the same area for a second or two after the survivor is unhooked.
Don't see why the people who are claiming it's a chase perk are seemingly against any sort of change to make it so the killer can't just camp for free.

Wait a minute, so can they NOW be blinded IF they grab the person while they're actively leaving the locker? I just got blinded in that scenario.
Yes you can blind a killer in that situation. The locker blind immunity wasn't applied here because the killer can back up a few steps and lunge, meaning that the killer isn't forced to grab, whereas they WERE forced to grab when locker blind immunity wasn't a thing.
-
It might depend on which order you equip the perks, iirc equipping UB and Soul Guard (in that order) will force UB to be used first (even if you are cursed) swapping their positions in your loadout changes it so that if you are cursed, Unbreakable won't become deactivated unless you recover yourself when you are no longer cursed. This might be the same situation.
-
Jane already has a Greek Legends skin
-
I'm surprised they haven't done this or perk customisation packs. If happily buy a couple.
-
I don't think it's difficult to see that they're simply trying to make her power more healthy for the game. Nobody likes playing against Ring Drawing / Iri Tape slugging Sadako.
-
I feel as though the current time out penalty should be exchanged for a BP gain penalty, e.g. 50% penalty for the next few matches.
-
I feel as though we should at least get a prestige variation for legendary skins

There’s only one good tile on Midwich. Lol. Literally
Midwich is a map that rewards chaining tiles with one another, if you know the general layout of the map, you can usually have a rather decent chase. That being said, I forgot that it can be rather difficult to find gens on Midwich, which is another thing that the devs should probably look at improving.
-
I don't really think Midwich needs many changes, just something to make camping both exits harder and the removal of classrooms that don't have a single pallet in them. Dead Dawg on the other hand definitely needs a bit more looking at.
Tiles need reworked so that there aren't 5,000 breakable walls on the map, and therefore should be reduced in size to compensate, they also need to change the ridiculous amount of dead zones the map can have as well.

How is Lery's a killer sided map? It's gigantic, it has lots of strong loops and windows, it destroys ranged killers (ESP in the MFT meta) and the S tier killers, you can't defend the doors in EGC, and it doesn't spawn such tight 3-gens and 4-gens anymore (I believe they changed this when they adjusted Haddonfield gen spawns). There's no way this map is good for anyone besides maybe like Ghostface
It's pretty much an entirely rng based map, with how map generation works on Léry's almost every pallet/window can be ridiculously strong, or ridiculously weak for survivors. Imo it needs a complete rework, hopefully making the map's layout more consistent.
-
I'd say that there are simply fewer maps that are significantly more killer sided than there are survivor sided. And even then, they usually boil down simply to the size of the map. A map being small is a huge advantage for killer. The prime example probably being Dead Dawg. Although the main building and shack are good for survivor (as long as the breakable walls are still up in main), a large percentage of that map is either empty or really bad filler pallets.
-
Gen defence has not been removed, nor is it punished. They nerfed a select few perks that pretty much played the game for the killer, and acted as a substitute to any actual skill. There are still plenty of gen perks that are completely viable as long as you actually have enough game sense to use them properly.

All rift cosmetics are rift exclusive for at least a year, so we might see it come to the store at some point after Halloween of this year!
That being said, we haven't seen any individual cosmetic pieces come to the store as if yet, only full outfits, so it might be a good idea to stay apprehensive about that.

Unless sex is added as a game mechanic ... there is no reason to disclose anyone's sex life in a horror game.
Seeing as each and every original character in the game has quite extensive lore, and romance is a part of almost everyone's life at some point or another, that alone is reason enough to justify the inclusion of LGBT+ characters.
-
I believe that some characters should be left ambiguous, but more representation is always welcome! The reason that I wouldn't want all sexualities revealed is that while representation is important, it can also be seen as a positive when players can project themselves onto certain characters, the less specific/developed a character is, the easier it is for this to be done!
