They're not going to make outfit sets the new norm. They'll be made more sporadically, but all characters are still gonna get plenty more mixable cosmetics. Plus, I'm sure Oni is gonna get a sick Hollowed Blight outfit.
Maybe..but that sword is amazing and now I can't enjoy it without giving up my ability to customize...its infuriating

Just tap the power button when you want to refill the bar, though for efficiency try to hold on as long as possible

yeah this build is ridiculous stupid but so fun to use.
tfw you main Bubba
I will Give it a week and this build will probaly get gutted after everyone abused it so much :-)
Doubtful..the build is countered by a pallet drop
-
The skins are great..but must they lock EVERYTHING together? At least let us use the weapons...I really wanted that oni sword
-
Does anyone here know what the word minimal means? The saw now trulet needs to be misused for the overheat to matter as it always should have been..now we just need to address his useless addons and he will be fine

First of all. Wouldn't that make Ivory mori be better than Evony then? Since Ivory can kill everyone?
Second, keys do need a hatch animation process, true. But they don't need to shine or so. I don't really understand why people think keys/moris are in the same level. Keys even as bothering that they can be, they're fair. If there are two survs and 4 gens done, well even if you killed two survivors that would mean they have the upper hand, many killers start with the excuse "They escaped because they had a key. Nerf them" so yes, they can bother you if you're going for the adept killer but overall, you need to work a lot in order to use the key, yes SWF can abuse it but not everyone goes into one.
Keys are not even remotely fair they reward failure by letting you skip the obj..pretending otherwise is silly..more often than not 2 or 3 gens are left and 2 escape with the key rather than take the loss they were receiving..plus keys can be found in game while moris are clearly warned about before the match , both are broken for different reasons
-
Maybe..but it's still leave Moris rather pointless..if they were to be reduced that much just add ivory to base and make a system like ph for each killer to earn death hook moris
-

People saying nerf spirit = you want all killers weak just have no argument of their own and repeat what already been dissected to death
seriously, nobody is able to provide a strong, objective reason as to why her lack of feedback is a positive when all other killers have at least something

lemme just inspect her hair while running when there are different types of hair cosmetics, btw this and the old glowing shards thing was already shown by Scott to be useless
A tell when she phases is one thing..but this in a a whole another beast
-
Ehh... I suppose if you want her to eat pallets all day.....any sort of directional knowledge of her location and it'll happen..

Or perhaps your not taking into account the terrible matchmaking

I never said it was game changing. I said it wasn't useless. In direct contrast to you saying it does nothing unless staying still. You said nothing about game changing. I've mained Wraith since 2016 (and his legacy is sick looking), with the right build and the right person controlling it, he can be brutal. The issue is, most people would rather default to a killer with better loop shutdown mechanics. Not that I blame them, but it's a thing.
Because his hit and run strat isnt very effective vs high quality teams..just takes too long

Wraith main here. His cloak is far from useless.
Ok? I've played wraith enough to know it's far from game changing ..itll catch people off once in a while on a good day sure..but not so much attentive players
-
No killer is toxic, only playstyles focused on it..however legion I'll admit has always been a bore..hes the new old freddy..only wins through war of attrition
-
That's because that's her design...I'd figure that to be obvious

Because they actively found the totem at the beginning of the match.
Or because they could do something as easy as a skill check..?

It raised awareness by being prevalent in every match. If you didn't learn to find a hex fast, you suffered. Same with playing against a killer who will win unless you do the objective as fast as possible because you're not given time to breath.
Nowadays it's more Haunted Grounds Roulette. But that's an issue with suffering the effects, not actually finding and breaking them.
Good players didnt suffer with ruin, that's just absurd
-

If you're at the top of the meta, you are the meta. Leaving everyone else to sputter.
It's the same logic as old Ruin. You learn to deal with it immediately and all other hexes suffer since they have no lasting power despite not actually being in play.
Once again your logic has no weight to it..hexes by and large are poor because the design is poor..most hexes shouldnt even be hexes..ruin didnt magically make other hexes weaker it was the only one worth the risk..the answer should be to being what's lower up, that way everyone gets more enjoyment out of these things

Considering the fact that I main her; it wouldn't make her power useless. That's like saying Wraith's cloak is useless.
It to a degree is..? The turning invisible does nothing unless you hold still..you only use it for the speed and lack of tr..the two arnt even comparible..wraith is a low mid killer with decent map pressure but barely any chase power , spirit is a slower killer that blinds herself to give her a moment to make a move on the survivors..she cant chase outside power like a wraith can and even if she could If that was the price she would still suck

Besides the hundreds of threads stating he can't be nerfed because bully squads will bully him? Lmao.
No because billy has 0 bearing on matches where Billy isnt present..common sense
-
There is no weight behind this theory at all
-
@Ivaldi said:
Honestly, the easiest way to fix Spirit is by slowing her down. Currently using a Mother Daughter Ring and Dirty Uwabaki, she moves faster than Hillbilly; using a Mother Daughter Ring and Yakuyoke Amulet puts her just below Hillbilly but faster than Double Windstorm Wraith.
Additionally, give her either a small dust cloud that you can see as shes walking (kind of like survivor blood) or a wraith like cloak.
That would just let people camp pallets with no risk though..therefore making her power useless

So during the ptb the time where many people were new to it and didn't have all the perks addons and loadouts they would have is a good tell for almost 2 years later
Yes because it wouldnt change how people negated her power..and in fact would be way worse because people know her now
-
@Peanits said:
Going to stay 100% impartial here, but any effect of that change would be completely negated by Insidious, which also takes away your terror radius if you stand still at a rate of 8m/s. You still wouldn't be able to tell if she's phasing or just standing there with Insidious.
Did you happen to see my suggestion? I feel like this stuff should be met in the middle else we repeat what just happened to Billy,
-

She is still very strong even without her unpredictability it would just knock her down a peg
Not true..her ptb showed that too clearly man
-
@Peanits said:
I have the same thoughts about it for the most part, although there are some very valid points out there. Namely:
- It's way harder to deal with solo where you can't ask the other people how many totems they did.
- The 'counter' to camping is to do gens and leave, but if you do that, you aren't cleansing totems and you risk a second person dying to NOED.
Granted neither of those are really unsolvable issues, the latter being fairly rare in my experience, but they are very fair points and I don't think they should be completely ignored just because you're alright with the way it works.
Well there has to be a compromise if its changed or we get what we got with ptb hillbilly

There isn't any because they are designed to give the other player feedback
This isn't a "lore" thing or however people wanna spin it
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1469199#Comment_1469199
Those were hardly "nerfs" and did nothing except bring her down a single notch, giving a minor tell such as hand movements will bring her down 1-2 more notches and she will still be top tier, except she would then have to think more about her power ever slightly
No it's not a lore thing..its even stated in her power and tips that's the whole point of her so I agree theres no debating that XD
-
This is too much, it wont just effect her chase itll affect any plays she can make during chase too like changing targets..alternatively I'd add a short moment of flickering when her phase starts because
1: itll make positioning more important to spirit
2: itll give you a base to start from and after a couple phases you can roughly gauge her speed
3: itll reward you for being attentive and not give it for nothing
4: She keeps all her mind games but has a way for both sides to take advantage of it
That's my compromise idea anyway
-
@BigTimeGamer said:

because you dont hear it in a chase????
as for a "tell" just let survivors see when she moves her hands, she can fake it still, just gives people a chance to play around it
for those against it, name 1 other killer that doesnt have some animation that gives an indicator of their power being used
Name 1 other killer that has that as their theme
-
She needs work..a better cleansing incentive I think
-
Hopefully not..if you think spirit is stronger than survivor teams I can assure you that's false..plus after billy I have 0 trust the devs would do anything fair to her
-
They said itll have graphically for them as well as animation updates , tile updates etc
-
@Mew said:
idk why there isnt an fov slider in this game
why should i have to sacrifice a perk slot to feel comfortable while playing killer
Honestly I'd just settle for the shadowborn level increase as I'd likely have it on max anyway..it makes everything feel faster and just, better
-
@sulaiman said:
Well, because for some peopel dbd is a hide-and-seek game. A lot of killers dont like the hidding game, but it is part of the game, and needs no nerfing, which is what an increased fov would do.
Thats..a silly reason I'll be honest with you
-
@th3 said:
That was fixed in the most recent update so it no longer automatically gives extra fov for stretched res
I'm not talking about stretched res
-
@MrDardon said:
They should just add an FoV slider. They said they probably won't because People with high FoV will have an Advantage over People with small FoV who don't want to have higher FoV.
But who doesn't want higher FoV? Smaller FoV gives People an uncormfortable Feeling. Imagine having the DbD FoV in real Life. The current one isn't humane.
Hence why I feel just widening it to shadowborn levels is a good sweet spot..survivors get rediculous vision..why cant killers get a little more ?
-
@hillbillyclaudmain69 said:
If you go against flashlights dont run shadowing as it DOES affect flashlight angles.
Not like it matters..flashlights dont respect the smaller fov very well anyway..besides new lightborn makes it a non issue

Hurr duur you must only play bad players for months and months consistently. Hurr durr r...this is the most idiotic counter argument you could possibly make. Sorry but you just need to accept some players can play broken killers optimally and just bc YOU can't doesnt mean we're somehow playing against all the bad players and you're somehow getting the best. Purely idiotic lol.
Lol despite all evidence to the contrary..but hey move to petty insults..show you have no point to make more clearly I suppose
-
Probably the biggest source of hypocrisy the devs have in the game atm
-
Honestly I'm indifferent..stridor is used as a scapegoat but it's also only good on maybe 2 killers, so honestly I could go either way with it
-
Because the seemingly only solutions to make killers less "boring" is to make survivors as powerful as them in chase..that cant happen
-
@siren_sorceress said:

Played spirit. Almost never lost. With pop I was nearly unbeatable and I run tiles like garbage as killer. So by your definition she was absolutely broken when I played her. I love her but she's boring when you win effortlessly every match.
Your playing bad players..its that simple..kills mean nothing in a system where speed limiter bubba can win 30 games in a row
-
@MrDardon said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1463460#Comment_1463460
Not really. Unlike Deathslinger, Huntress throws Fridges and her Hatchets are Damage on Hit.
When Deathslinger makes a Longshot he has to hope nothing is in the Way between him and the Survivor, which makes it hard to use this Add-On.
Huntress Longshots are still easier because bigger Hitboxes and she doesn't need to worry about Obstacles while reeling in because she doesn't need to reel in. You just need good Aim with her and you'll get rewarded.
You'll still hardly ever even get a hit at that range..the concept is rediculous considering there are very few open maps with sufficient los to use them
-
@DWolfAlpha said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1463460#Comment_1463460
Really, the only reason iridescent coin isn't that useful is because it only works on 15 meters out with a max range of 18 meters. That's a pretty small window. With Huntress, no such range limit exists, so you can potentially hit someone a good 50 meters away.
Right..and how often do you have line of sight like that and a survivor dumb enough to not move...?I mean, seriously..its bad because shots line that dont happen very often at all..a rather poor concept for an iri
-
You forgot to mention iri heads would be useless as iri coin has shown why it would be...I'd prefer something good but fun to use over gimmicky and unusable in 99.999% of scenarios
-

If you punish people for playing with their friends, they'll just find another game to play. Simple as that.
It's fine people are trying but it's not realistic
-
No idea why people think these will ever work..the only answer to swf is to bring killers to the necessary level to fight them..only thing that's fair to everyone...all these swf debuffs will just have considerable unintended consequences
-
Depends on rank I guess..most spirits I face dont just tunnel with her, it's just a waste of her potential, now sometimes theyll fake phasing away when they're thinking someone is nearby so if your buddy keeps saving you instantly you cant blame the killer for making easy bait out of you
-

What I'm saying is it gets very, very, very, very, very tiresome when you have a killer who is played the exact same way for the past 2 years now.
And killer mains wonder why all survivors bring Decisive....gee I wonder why. Maybe it's a reaction to how people play killer?
Doubtful..that or pc is filled with scummy players..in my experiance it's the minute long invulnerability that makes the perk appealing
-
She can only track reliably through sound and notifiers..abuse those heavily to confuse her, dont use pallets predictably, throw them from a side depending on whether she normally goes around or not , mix up fast and slow vaults, avoid injured as long as possible etc..that's how she rolls
