I have an assumption that unique music will not be added to the first three killers, since they are already considered as classic ones. But i hope i'm wrong

Same..that would be very stupid especially when they said EVERY killer would get their own

Probably cause it's not a huge overhaul of his Killer Power.

But i do agree: Him not getting an overhaul means it'll now take multiple years before he'd get just a chance of a new soundtrack.

First we're gonna see more "troublesome" Killers get changes with new soundtracks, then weaker Killers with new soundtracks.

I myself am more surprised Cannibal didn't get one.

Oh no wait, that probably has to do with license stuff.

Yeah..leather I'm not surprised but Billy?

I mean it makes sense though. Why replace all of the original killers' music? Eventually you'd get the point where none of the original chase music was in the game, except for old Licensed characters, which would kinda suck.

I think it's kinda fitting that it hasn't changed.

I'd prefer it if it were changed..especially when theyve been doing pretty well with the redesigns so far..

  • @MrLimonka said:

I think he doesn't need new chase music. He's one of the 3 original killers, so it's most fitting that they leave the original chase music for him

That's just silly, and honestly a waste if you ask me

My apologies. I meant mind gaming the pallet AFTER it’s dropped. It’s surprising just how many are still unsafe when Clowns gas is in play.

The blurry vision may help..however the new server upgrades may just be more than we bargained for

That only works at a pallet that can’t be mind gamed, not exactly a problem unique to Clown. That said there are many “safe” pallets that Clown can make unsafe because of the survivors slower vaulting speed.

Sure, but that's why people just throw early and make him break it

Im not talking about map presence, but you can cut off the survivors escape routes at pallets with his bottles so pallet camping wont help survivors

He only has 4..and he will use at least one getting the drop..then they will stay at the pallet till he breaks it, and so on

  • Hes still vulnerable to pallet camping and has no map presence

  • One must respect the docta

Ty, I wish you luck as well.

I'm not sure which game you watched by single match can not be good represenation of what all he can do. I don't post just the top best shots ever games but games that I had fun, show someting interesting to learn at least once or a few other reasons. Also my build is based around defending favorable areas so losing fisrt few gens doesn't matter too much as long as I've made progress in pallets, hook states etc.

I play on PC and don't know how good survivors with controller are so I can't judge that.

Well from what a friend of mine on PC says theres two things consoles have over pc..skill checks are apparently smoother which is shocking, but also that controllers give survivors way easier movement than a keyboard , allowing extremely sharp jukes

Do you know that DS can get easy hit throuh shack pallet in almost all scenarion except when it's from the inside which you can evade by forcing the chase to the outside before it's dropped ? Very few killers can beat dropped shack pallet but DS is one of them. Not even talking about the large amount of plays you can consisntely do to get hits/downs before it drops.

His pallet countering abilities are actually very consistent when played correctly by the slinger. Skill is the defining factor.

Also your opinions are your alone, I won't think less of you if you think that nurse isn't best killer. You do you, I'm just trying to show you my view and maybe teach you something that could help you see hidden strenghts of killers like DS.

Much like demo slinger has his high points at specific tiles, but that isnt enough to make it in today's dbd..I reviewed your channel..for one..as a fellow creator I wish you luck and I'll admit those were good shots in that video..however..the game was essentially a 3v1 as kate fed you..and that was just 1 thing..they still managed 3 gens even with all of it..I'm willing to change my mind but maybe its be cause controller is a huge boost to survivors ability to move but..I'm not trying to fight about critiques

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1453494#Comment_1453494

My man, it is clear you don't know enough about DS, no offence but he can punish pallet pretty hard, even some of the safest ones like shack can be outplayed even after it's dropped. Not many killers can outplay pallets as much as DS can. Yeah there are some that are really hard or even a few that he can't outplay but he can definetly get hits over pallets.

Also to your note on on rubble that breaks the chain. Good slingers get robbed of their hits very rarely by trees etc since they know how to reel in a way so that trees etc can't break your chain and mainly when to go for shots so that there's as few obstacles for the reel in.

Another note on the cheeky hits, he's the god of them. You can get insane hits through walls and if you know the techs for them you can even use many holes for not just chain breaks but for downs.

You really should go watch good slingers to understand where I'm coming from. I don't really want to self advertise but I'm actually rather high ranked slinger in the leaderboard and I've recently made a channel so if you're interested why I find DS to be really good killer you can check out my gameplay. I'm not a god DS becasue my playstyle is to go for as many shots as I can affor since I loves shooting even at lost of lower hit consistency and risk of missing but still my gameplay is pretty good.

Here is the link if you're interested:

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGCPA43ebUBxa2KoUv-kiJw/videos?view_as=subscriber

It's impossible for death slinger to get downs over safe pallets was my point and it very much is..that has a larger effect than youd think..hitting a few nice shots in cheeky areas is not enough to convince me..for the same reasons I dont believe nurse is the best killer anymore..think what youd like of me..but unless results are consistent i dont see it as proof..because as i iterated..the game is in shambles..

  • I like onis and nurses too, oni straight up punches it open lol

  • @Kebek said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1453373#Comment_1453373

See, even when his reeling, attack CD etc takes a while compared to like huntress who chains hits very fast, he saves time by getting them earlier then she ever could. In the end he gain more time overall because he gets more chances to earn hits before huntress can so he's actully time efficient. Ofc that applies when you are good with your shots and don't miss much otherwise you lose a lot of time but you can spread the damage more thanks to deep wounds buyin you time.

His preassure come from mainly 2 things, you either are god at chases and down people so fast they just aren't able to keep up with you or you defend part of the map where gens aren't too spread so you aren't as punished by your slower MM speed and CDs. He has ways to apply very strong pressure even without mobility but it all boils down to how fast can you find survivors and how fast can you down them. If you're great DS swith good perks and capitalise on all your chances even SWF death squads are beatable. Ofc a lot RNG comes into playing DBD, the map, the loops spawns, the gen spawns etc so that affect things just like with all killers.

But your forgetting one important detail...on top of everything else hes the only slow killer with almost no pallet punish..if the loop has any safety at all a pallet is a force field while huntress can burn pallets for free..Sure it's possible to punish with slinger but every tree, every rock, every obstacle is a potential free get out for your target..huntress it's your hit, your damaged, no middle man..no extra steps..now slinger has some very cheeky shots he can do like haddonfield fences but that's about all he has over her

  • @Kebek said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1453332#Comment_1453332

His chase tools are more consistent then around 80% of the killer roster in terms of getting hits. They themself might not be fast but their utility is very high if used correctly. Paired with perks to cover his weaknesess and good decision making can make even the best survivors struggle hard to beat good slinger.

See..theres the issue..time..that's the crux..the one weakness a killer cant afford..see trapper for reference..any killer that isnt time efficient or have good slowdown will just..drop off hard at the top..issue is..I have no idea how to improve him without adding a pressure tool of sorts

  • @Kebek said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1453262#Comment_1453262

Just an example, I'm certain great docs are very hard to loop but doc's power is still in my eyes at least, weaker anti-loop tool then DS's redeemer. I'm not a god doc but I play DS pretty well and he can counter quite a few loops if you know the techs.

The slinger isnt clown tier..but he falls apart because his chase tool takes too much time..and no msp pressure tool at all..all hes really got is his stealth

  • @Kebek said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1453213#Comment_1453213

I see your point but I've faced some god tier level survivors with DS a few times and they had real trouble beating me. They've lasted quite well (based on which one of us predicted better) but still managed to catch them pretty fast overall. At least much faster then the likes of doc or billy would.

Billy maybe..he was way more vulnerable than people assumed..but..how dare you challange my doctor XD

Oh yeah...I lilterally didn't even notice until you pointed it out lol

Bubba probably didn't get a new chase music because he's a licenced character. But Billy should have gotten one with this change. My guess is that he didn't get a new chase music because according to how the devs described it, this change just isn't that big of a deal

Lol turned out to be way bigger than they thought

Well my numbers are that I have very high kill rate in high ranks with purely him since I've git guted with him after his release. You've ofc entiteled to have an opinion, I'm just saying that he's more then a decent killer, not top tier but still good one.

Kill rates arnt really reliable in today's dbd dont you think? The matchmaking is a disaster and all the numbers will be looking higher than normal

Hmm I can't agree with that. Iri coin isn't great I agree but it beiing baseline would be too much imao, especilly if it was a better version of it.

I also can't agree on the statement that DS is weak, he's very strong killer when played by someone good with him. If you think he's bad you should look up gameplay of good slingers, maybe they'll change your views of him.

No they wont..numbers prove hes bad..hes got several issues thatll always keep him down

  • Honestly I'd just add a slightly better version or iri coin base..that way he shaves off some of his time waste and differs from huntress by going g for long shots..as he stands hes just weak

  • Only a couple of the hexes even deserve hex status..but thanks to busted perks like detectives hunch and an overall abundance of ######### spawns..the design of hexes is very flawed and needs reviewing

  • Nooooo..this would turn each killer into a weakling

@immortalls96 I'm very vocal if there is an issue that I have with something but if nothing will be done, there is nothing to dwell on. I appreciate your feedback as well. I try to listen to both sides before making a statement or posing a change but I won't badger the devs or others over something that I dislike. It becomes hatred then you start hating the game then the people who play it and that's how we end up killer vs. survivor arguments and that is not healthy.

I never insult someone over their choice of sides (killer or survivor) because I switch betwern when I'm playing during the day. My main frustration against certain killers as a survivor usually boils down to my own teammates. They either unhook me with BT in front of the killer, I get hit after they go down and we just switch places when I had another 45-50 seconds on the hook.

It drives me nuts. I get face camped a lot when I loop killers for too long but that doesn't bother me. It fills me up with pride knowing that the killer really doesn't want me to run him again. When it comes to killer, I try not to tunnel and give everyone a fair shake unless you've just been a real ######### but I try not to get too caught up by teabaggers.

Mainly, I use to do it in Halo 3 and I grew up with that so it doesn't bother me as much. Now getting someone who has a macro flashlight and clicks it 109 times annoys the hell out of me. When I play as killer, I keep my volume high and it really starts to quickly irritate me. I've played against so many streamers and even got their signatures on my Steam wall that I proudly show.

I just can't stand there and pretend to enjoy myself against something that I really don't like. Especially when I record, I show my wins AND losses. I show when I get stomped and I show when I'm the stomper but I can't fake enjoyment when I'm just getting pissed off the entire match.

It's just unhealthy. No, I don't suicide on the hook. I was just saying that if it comes down to it, there is always a way to just move on to a more interesting match. I have videos where I was stomped by a Myers and by a Hag and you can hear the enjoyment of the jumpscares and him staring at the camera as I died. I was really having fun.

Met really good people from this game on PS4, including killers who I have destroyed and we still talk on Discord who still ask for tips. The main problem with DBD is we focus too much on 4k'ing and escaping that we forget to have fun. That's my gripe about it. I've been stomped and still had so much fun that I wish I could relive it. The game has changed from that aspect and everyone just wants to win.

I can't tell people how to play but when I do, I try to have fun and winning with a 3k is second to me. One of the few games that I still enjoy playing after 3 years. I just hope people could realize that this game is one of the most enjoyable games for an asymmetrical horror out there amd if it just stopped one day, many woukd realize too late, how much of a gem this game really was and how others interact with it.

Fair enough..but that doesnt mean we get rid of the high points of it whole we are here

With no grabs you’ll still have bad saves, but no stand off.

  • Not likely..bad saves should be punishable..run bt if camping is really present in your matches

@immortalls96 I've said why I hate Spirit and why I can't stand her. I play her at Rank 1. Hell, I just got done with 3 matches as her and 4k'd them with 2 gens left each time. I use M&A to get close before phasing. By the time they react, I usually get a hit but once someone is hurt, I rarely ever miss. If she doesn't get some type of change, I'll just play her all time until enough people get tired of it.

She doesn't have a tell except glowing and unless you're in her face, she'd hit you anyway. She's easy to play and doesn't require much. Just hit, have high volume and kill. I enjoy playing as different killer's except Freddy due to me being night blind and his dream world looks like 1 giant blob of grey to me. I also love Doctor and Hag since not many people know what to do against them.

I've been playing for almost 3 years without any real complaints about the killers but Spirit; I've been very vocal about once I got good with her and learned how to pinpoint people with her. In a lot of my video's, I use to play Spirit only because of how great she was then I started to dislike her once I played against her and realized that playing her and crushing people was fun but being in the receiving end was not.

I play both sides and I loved going against Billy and even Nurse (except 4 blinks and above was pure hell and stopped being fun so when I do play Nurse, I never used more than 3 blinks). I was here when you got sucked into the ground, rubberbanned back into the basement and couldn't get out, stuck in the basement by an invisible barrier and I sucked it up and waited for them to fix that stuff.

I've been playing so long that if they added my PS4 time also, I'd easily have 3k hours minimum. I had almost every survivor and killer P3 on console before switching to PC and then I still busted my ass to do it on PC. I love this game and I try not to complain about something unless it's just abhorrent. I've experienced what there is about this game and I honestly love it.

When it comes to Spirit, I honestly hate going against her. You have nothing you can do against her when injured. Its a stacked deck. That's just my 2 cents in it. I've been through hell with this game and even if Spirit doesn't get changed, I'll just hook suicide and find another match. Either way, I'll do what I must to keep enjoying this game.

Then I have honestly have no respect for you anymore ..3k hours and you just..give up now? 4king with 2 gens left isnt a stomp..that means the match could've flipped at any time..that's a good match, but now you just rant about how your going to just quit..If what you claim is true I expect better from veterans..yet your becoming an issue for the community as a whole by doing this and as a content creator you just multiply the damage ...I was enjoying our little debate now I actually have a reason to have ill will towards you..I'm very dissapointed..all the same I wish you luck..goodbye

  • That isnt very comforting, because It very much would, killers need sound..making her blind and deaf just means she will almost never land hits in phase..unless they were bots

  • Frankly this game has hand held survivors for so long it's made a lot of survivor players finally figure out they arnt very good because they never had to be

Well theres nothing but downsides now. they even kept in the stun after missed attacks. They did nothing to compensate for gutting her power. I have so much fun sitting there waiting for 2 blinks to come back while moving at 100% movespeed. I also love getting stunned just for using my power as map control. They didnt need to touch her power, Just like theyre doing to billy now, and the changes are going through with billy no doubt about it. Why play those killers when we can just play spirit and do 10 times better

Actually its 96.25 percent but yes I feel you

She won't depend on additional-blink addons. They will be just for fun and they'll be hilarious. Bonus blink addons debuffing Nurse's ability, so you have to decide: I want to have 3 blinks and have weaker ability, or have 2 blinks and normal ability

Maybe..still youd have to be very careful with those

  • @PureHostility said:

Cooldown on the power was needed.

It was spammable and Im saying this as someone who maines her in the old days (I can flex with my legacy 3 on her).

Reworked addons are also nice, they spice things up, as nurse is one of the few killers that DOESNT need any addons to wreck 4 man seal team swf with OoO.

The main problem with Nurse is how buggy the maps are and how buggy her power is. That's the main issue that plagued nurse basically since her release.

In other words, Nurse is great, cd nerf is perfectly justified, bugs destroy any fun from playing her.

Come back to me when that's the case..till then..I'll just say it's not just bugs hm? And if the bugs have always plagued her it means theyll likely never be fixed and therefore you had no real point to make saying it's just bugs

It wont literally at all. The ONLY effect it has is in cases of extreme lag. Other than that, the system will basically be off.

You cant be sure of that , and it's certainly not how the devs described it..this will likely affect how every hit looks

  • As much as I'd love nurses cd removed the range and additional blink addons were too much..as they are they arnt so bad as they have full downsides however I dont want her to crutch on them again

The server hit validation will only actually change anything in the event of extreme ping. If the killer is lagging out and hit the spot you were at 10 seconds ago...you wont take dmg from it. Its not going to make ping go away though.

No but itll certainly make reactionary gameplay much easier especially with the double tick rate..I'm honestly worried of the repercussions

This isn’t true, and I’m not saying this out of bias.

He doesn’t have direct map presence, but the pressure he elicits on the survivors with his fast chase capability is felt by all survivors no matter where they are.

Once a player learns how to use Clown to his full potential, downs and hooks occur so fast that the gens slow down by mid game because of how frequently the survivors out of chases are needing to assist with unhooks, slugs, and heals (it’s dangerous to stay injured against a good Clown).

While 4 survivors still remain in the trial it’s not uncommon for there to frequently only be 1 or 2 engaging in repairs at a time, and even then they’re frequently disrupted.

I'm no stranger to clown and his workings but this is exactly huntress problem too..now she gets away with it by having fast damage output but even then shes the most msp dependent killer in dbd..and if you end chases fast sure it's got hook pressure but let's face it..it wont stop a good tesm..anyone who understands clown will straight up make his life miserable

Sure, you can instantly throw pallets against him and make it so you completely bypass the mindgame of predicting anything for anyone and he just goes around kicking pallets all day and hope they last til the game is over... but once again wheres the fun in that for ANYONE. The enjoyment in the chases comes down to outsmarting your opponent and predicting their movements. Games where I have ppl running from 1 pallet to the next and CAMPING them without ever trying to actually run a Junglegym or something is just incredibly boring. Of course this also would only actually work for like half the pallets in the game since many of them allows him to shoot you and walk around the pallet before the chain breaks.

As far as your DH example, while its true that you can maybe predict a shot and DH to avoid it... that would have to be PURE prediction with no actual indication of a shot coming since by the time you see the rifle get raised on your side, the killer has already fired the shot on THEIR side.

That won't be much of an issue after the server hit validation I thi k

I am not attempting to be toxic, just informing you that the game IS balanced around solo play. Yeah, information perks close the gap, but do you know what they also do? Take up a perk slot. SWF groups get all of them for FREE. More space to aggressively exploit second-chance perks. If you don't see how it's balanced for solos and SWF breaks the game, then I can't help you.

Your implication is itll ever be repairable..it cannot be..therefore the game can no longer be solo balanced..the devs are finally realizing this

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/172548/god-forbid-the-game-asks-you-to-predict-your-opponents-actions

    Brilliantly worded.

I think in part the reason there are a lot of the complaints you listed is because it often goes unacknowledged that DBD is a hard game. Damn hard sometimes.

Sure the button prompts and controls are basic, but it’s HOW MUCH a player needs to think about at any given moment that makes DBD a hard game. To average players it can get overwhelming everything that needs to be focused on during a chase. I don’t mean that in any offensive way. It’s just natural for many players to flub up not thinking about certain things on top of everything else they need to think about mid chase.

It’s one of two reasons my main: Clown is perceived as weak. A) many players don’t use bottles properly, and B) he requires some very intensive fast thinking, and that’s just going to be beyond the capability of some players.

To be fair clown is weak primarily due to no map presence..hes a 1v1 character in a 1v4 game

  • @LordGlint said:

I'm going to counter this by pointing out your own example. With The Huntress example you gave, both players are trying to predict the other. The Huntress needs to predict when the pallet is gonna be tossed to have enough time to get out a hatchet while the survivor is trying to predict if the Huntress is gonna pull out a hatchet or not in determining if they should toss the pallet or circle again. Since the Hatchet being pulled out and then stored back away takes time and slows the killer significantly...if the survivor guesses RIGHT, they get to circle the pallet again.

This isnt the case with Deathslinger. Deathslinger has enough time to see if you'll drop the pallet. He doesnt have to predict ANYTHING because theres no downside to him raising his gun. Unlike Huntress who is slowed down for a decent amount of time if she misreads and pulls out a hatchet early... Deathslinger isnt and will just shoot you before you ever reach that pallet again. He doesnt HAVE to predict your actions since he can just react to your actions and still get the shot in while even if you predict HIS actions, you get nothing from it. Getting shot is basically inevitable if the person can aim and has nothing to do with what your input as a survivor was.

Keep in mind, I'm not saying Deathslinger is OP or even Strong, but just that his interactions with a survivor are extremely 1 sided. His downfall is simply how long it takes him to get anything done. After shooting someone he has to reel them in, hit them, recover from the hit cooldown, reload and continue chase as a 110% killer to get another shot while making sure the survivor is within range. Compare that to how fast Huntress can put out dmg by just flinging 1 hatchet after another with very little time inbetween. Huntress can put out damage ALOT faster if she has the shots but the survivors are actually able to apply some input to that.

Deathslinger on the other hand is very 1 sided with his shots, his dmg is just slow enough that while largely unfair in a chase, he's not as effective overall. Its like original Legion who could stab a survivor over and over with FF with that survivor having next to nothing they could do to avoid those hits and going down after the 4th unavoidable hit.

To be fair avoiding or baiting shots isnt hard , especially if you run dh...its not super reachable but you do have that moment when you see his hin move and his shot still has travel time to it..I'd say his chase isnt even in has favor inside of tiles because pallets are legit force fields vs him..which is silly for a 110

  • I've cranked my way to max

Umm, the game IS balanced around solo play. Hence: Kindred, Bond, Empathy, Aftercare, Object... basically any information perk. It was NOT designed for 4-man comms who abuse perks like DS/Unbreakable/BT. I know if SWF wasn't a thing then the game would die, but that's not what I am talking about. So you're wrong, in that respect :)

Ah I see your attempting to be toxic..ok..so..those perks were designed with the purpose of closing the gap I mentioned, especially kindred..they have said so themselves in live streams and dev updates on multiple ocassions..so no I'm not mistaken..I just did my homework first

Well considering SWF breaks the game, I must disagree with you on this one. Good SWF teams will dominate any killer, except perhaps a God Nurse. This game is balanced around solo survivor, so...?

It cant be or this game will die...you do realize this correct ? Not to mention they are trying to make solos and swf close to the same...so your wrong in that respect anyway

  • Then ask for a stridor rework..may as well..only good on spirit so it's not really a great perk

Yeah they’re horrible and only really good for general tracking, not precise tracking. I started playing with Fixated recently and it’s absurd where some of the scratch marks end up compared to how you actually path.

Why do people think so many Spirits are happy to play with Mother-Daughter Ring? Because scratch marks are not a good way to track invisible people in chase.

Yeah, it's honestly silly people say "well she can use scratch Marks" I just think to myself..ah yes, I love relying on the least reliable form of tracking in dbd for a killer that can easily be punished for a bad read or good juke

  • Spirit is the most competitive and the most fun out of the group imo, clown has the best gen defence perk , legion is..an acquired taste I suppose..and demo is pretty cool..just not that strong atm

Broken emplies she can almost never lose..she isnt there

  • Well considering my friends and i just last night I handed a spirit her lunch with stridor and I believe only 1 of us ran iron..and before that beat one so fast she literally held the door open for us...I'm afraid I must disagree with you on this one..frankly..either your solo or you must have been very predictable
