  • basically every "dbd killer" has died within 1 month of launch..

sure. and jesus christ is returning tomorrow.

  • I don't understand. I don't think i've ever been blinded by a flaslight while breaking a pallet. In fact, usually when Someone is attempting to blind me, breaking a pallet interupts this process..

guess it depends on perks that speed up pallet destruction.

Maybe read other comments before trying to sound smart. A dev literally confirmed that the hatch spawns at the beginning and stays invisible until certain conditions are met

Does it only remain invisible to the survivors though? I'm quite confident I've spawned into the game right next to it as a killer at least once. My memory might be off though.

  • but don't tell the steam community that their precious game is broken unless you like getting laughed at and treated like an idiot. Apparently, upgrading your SSD will fix the problem.

    🤣

DC penalty is fine but Behavior needs to work on disconnection errors asap. Some friends of mine have reached 15 minutes DC penalties solely from being kicked out of matches due to game errors and stuff ---not from ragequitting, not from a bad internet connection. That shows you how frequently these errors are happening.

DC penalty as a mechanic to punish quitters is a good concept, but this game is WAY too full of stupid errors that kick you out from games for it to work properly right now.

And idk about you guys but I've noticed these errors have become way more common since that mid-chapter update we had some time ago. Ever since then the game has been so damn buggy.

Editing to add that earlier today a friend of mine who was playing as survivor got a penalty after the KILLER disconnected. She has a screenshot and everything. That's how buggy this thing is, lol.

    yup.

I don't think the hatch really spawns at the start of the match considering how often it just pops up right next to the last survivor at 5 gens. Do you really think both of them knew it was going to open right there at 5 gens left? That would be a weird coincidence not gonna lie. Personally I think the hatch is programmed to spawn near a client UNLESS it has become visible at 2 gens / 2 survivors, 1 gen / 3 survivors and 0 gens / 4 survivors.

I was under the assumption it was always there, and the spawning referred to it opening, because Multiple times as a killer i've found the hatch within the first minute of a game. it's hard to keep track of the other factors such as #of gens repaired when I made this assumption. Most likely I'm incorrect, which would make sense considering the video.

It stacks for a reason, Some people don't rage quit back to back but do it ever so often when they're mori'd or they lose. Hence why it stacks to make sure you learn not to do it, because it's inconsiderate on the others most of the time and it's just not fun. I understand certain situations like crashes etc which i think if you tell them, I'm sure they'll take them off. Hackers, If someone hacks, Record it and report it :)

Ok. That's good to know. I thought they just had a do not care , deal with it attitude regarding the dc penalty. Cool beans. Ya, I try to report them, but end up just being angry at them lol. I'll have to run obs or w/e and try and catch them.

  • also, the hatch spawns at the beginning of the match, but opens later on. so even if it was randomized, odds are you are bound to see it while playing the game and it's your job to point it out to your team mates in whatever way possible and keep track of it's location.

  • Not sure why anyone would disagree with this statement. The location of all objects in the map only appear to be randomized, but there are patterns due to rules put in place by the devs to prevent collision and unwanted nonsense with object placement related to the randomized map.

  • i'm not sure why this got put in polls.. I haven't logged in here in a while and just posted to w/e default category it was set to i guess. My apologies.

  • sorry. I mean to say, situations like this, at least on PC, rquire video evidence. I really have no idea about xbox. I assume it's similar. best to read it.

  • the evidence basically has to be video recorded most of the time. Unfortunately this means that those with lower end pcs or lack of video recording capabilites/equipment, pretty much can't report anyone effectively. On one hand, I want to say this is unfair. On the other, I take the side it's not. Why should anyone be arrested for a crime they didn't commit simply because someone said they saw them commit the crime? It's just the way it is, it's unfair to those without the tech , but it's more fair the other way around.

  • A midas like character would be nice. The original story of midas is actually quite creepy. Would definitely make a fitting killer. Also, lorewise, when he kicks the generators they would turn gold. I guess this could be a perk? he could spread his "gold touch" to other survivors. When the survivor gets hit by him, the turn gold. His mori could be turning them to gold completely. They would also bleed gold. This would actually be great tracking wise, as well as it would look nice.

No idea if this is what you were going for. HOwever, you may want to fixate on lore first and build from there, as who your character is definitely is going to influence everything else.

  • they are probably going to do a tie in with resident evil/capcom of some sorts because why not.

  • worst killer in game is ghostface..

Good research, but do you really expect the devs to follow actual facts 100% accurately? They saw things close enough, and ran with it. Because it fits and most people wont find out/care about the small inconsistencies.

I doubt they made her with a hard rule set as to where/when shes from. A lot of loose interpretations I'd wager.

I agree. Even with the Japanese they are not accurate. For instance, in the trailer for the oni they have the actor speaking. The English translation is accurate, however, the words they claim he is actually saying in Japanese are not what he is saying. I listened to it multiple times, and it is definitely correct in translation but incorrect in transliteration. So i highly doubt they would be able to 100% use an ancient dead language.

Mathematically it’s not possible to double pip with 1 kill unless you’re talking about green or yellow ranks.

yes. green and yellow. sorry. also, it was a lucky match. hooked all survivors twice, made on sacrifice, 2 survor's dc'd after being hooked twice while in the dying state being carried to hook. the remaining survivor jumped in the hatch with the exit gates open and 5 gens remaining.

    probably will never happen again.

  • skill is just as weird as winning. what is winning? is winning escaping the match? is winning sacrificing all 4 survivors? no it is not. you can literally escape the match and lose rank, you can literally sacrifice all 4 survivors..and lose rank. to me winning in this game is getting as much emblem points as possible before the match ends.

the whole concept of what it means to be good at this game, to win a match shouldn't be viewed in the same regard as any other pvp game. contrary to what streamers are saying..you actually can be the first person on hook, the only person sacrificed..and still 2 pip the match..i should know..i've done it multiple times. As a killer, you can get 1 sacrifice, and still get merciless, i should know.i've done it at least once.

literally everything you do in this game is based off a metric, and these metrics are associated with your individual role. There seems to be a lot of fuss over each killer having their own rank also.. but in all honesty this is great.

Think outside the box here people. I know a lot of us don't often appreciate the changes they make to this game, but in all honesty, this isn't one of those changes worth whining about if you stop to think about it.

Than you must be getting some really unlucky matches, since I've never had a 9/10 for sure toxic Survivor team facing me and I have 1.5k hours into this game.

My intention wasn't to change your mind however, I was just looking out for the OPs interests and showing them that not everyone in this community is toxic, as some would make it out to be.

I'm sorry you feel that way about the game though, hopefully it will improve over time.

the game itself is great. don't get me wrong there. I love it. Unfortunately with my underlying anxiety and depression it's just stressful most of the time lol.

  • @FireHazard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1019273#Comment_1019273

I wouldn't say the community is bad, I've actually seen more kind people than toxic people for awhile now, it really does depend where you're in the ranks and who you're playing against at what times.

For some reason the late mornings brings out the worst in people or something, that's at least what I noticed for EST timezones.

you must play on console. this game's community is unbearable in how toxic they are on pc. death threats , racism, survivor's outright just grief the match for their whole team for no reason. Killer get's so much crap for "camping" or being toxic. Had one killer let us win the match and the only survivor he hooked (just so he wouldn't dpip) dc'd and cussed and cursed at him caling him a toxic piece of bleep and a camper.

Game is basically unplayable due to how toxic survivor's are. And i'm not talking about a once in a hwile thing. Basically every match (9/10) is some toxic survivor or whole team of toxic survivors griefing the match by either purposefully dcing or making as much noise as possible dropping pallets in front of team working on a generator etc etc jumpin in and out of closets screaming, etc etc, then telling everyone they suck worst player ever go killt hemselves.

So sorry, you aren't going to convince me that this game is not like this, cuz this is basically my expereince of this game for almost 300 hours. The first thing I do when I get into a lobby is turn off in game chat and visit each individual player's profile to block them. That's how sad it is. play as hard as i can, double pip as a survivor and get told i'm the worst survivor ever by a bunch of creeps who keep unhooking eachother right infront of killer just for some stupid challenge. I can imagine that once you get past rank 10 you see less of this..but good luck getting past rank 10 in the first place playing with these people.

There are good moments, but contrary to what you say, it's more totally random when you will encounter non toxic survivors rather than based on what time you are playing. Though it mysteriously seems to be during school hours or over long holidays ..you know times when people who shouldn't legally be playing this game in the first place aren't around to play it. Cough.

It's still a Hex totem and will be easily destroyed in the early game. Even when I've used other totem perks like Devour it was always cleansed so early so to no surprise Ruin wont last either. Don't get me wrong the combo is cool but would only be good for around 30 seconds up until 2 minutes.

i've never felt the concept of it bieng a hex totem and therefore easily removed early game was valid. First off, the survivor's have to actively go out of their way to find the thing to remove it, which only adds extra slow down value.. If they don't have a perk to find the totems, they are literally wandering around the map blindly looking for it. Then, even when they do find a hex totem, half the time it is not actually active. Yes, given the right circumstances and a group of high ranking survivors, the randomly hidden hex totem will be found and destroyed early on.. i really don't think this is an issue for low rank players though..ie mostplayers below rank 5. I think the changes make it less of a priority to get rid of. So, in cases where survivor's would just get rid of the thing ASAP, now you have a perk that will last longer because it's not that much of a threat to go out of their way to stop the generator regression. I'm not sure anyone else has thought about it this way, but that's my opinion anyhow.

So far that's my only opinion on the matter other than that I'm going to give the changes a shot.

  • that depends on how prone you are to stress induced by toxic nonsense. this game has a really bad community, despite being a good game. if you're easily stressed out and/or suffer from depression, in all honesty it's probably not the game for you. also, there isn't really any single player content, so that's something to think about. You'd literally be buying something that is totally useless once the servers go down, versus a single player game that you can continue to play even 10 , 20 years later.

  • don't forget stake out. Turns good skill checks into great skill checks and all you gotta do is hide in killer's terror radius with spine chill. That would be great for countering hex ruin..

    o wait..doesn't matter anymore.😂

  • initially I was against the hex ruin changes. However, after spending some time away from the game and doing some analysis, watching some streamers and using my brain, I have come to the realization that there may be other methods. There are at least 2 perks that could be viable replacements, as well as simply just learning to cope without a slow down perk and possibly focusing on a different stratgey. The devs explained quite clearly that the gatekeeper emblem was going to be different, so there definitely won't be as much pressure to stop the gen rush early game. One of the things I wondered was how people played this game before hex ruin even existed (it's not actually a free killer perk..it's only part of the dlc). So i watched some old videos and learned a few things.

I'm just biding my time until patch day. taking a break from the game. Never been a fan of the beta's as the que times are just a bit too high for me.

Overall, I guess I'm trying to say that I'm actually looking forward to these changes, not because I think they are great or anything, they are frustrating, but because it will be a refresh. It will be like an entirely new way of playing the game than the one we've been used to for so long. And for that reason, I think if anything Killer is going to be more interesting to play, even if it is frustrating at first or hard to understand why said changes were made. I still don't fully agree with these changes, but I can see the value in learning to cope with any changes made to the game. I think those who can't adapt just turn stagnant and stuck in a rut, never progressing personally in the game.

Hope that makes sense and answers your question.

  • good grief. No one is telling you you can't have an opinion. Being entitled to an opinion does not mean everyone has to agree with you or even want to hear it. Grow up. You can think whatever you want. Go ahead. you can think 1+1 = 5. No one is stopping you. People will probably disagree with you and try to prove you wrong, or point out that you are probably just stirring up trouble at which point you should be able to defend your opinion wiht hard fact and reasoning, and if you can't possibly you should reform your opinion instead of just telling people "it's my opinion, deal with it" . That's a bit childish. Opinions should evolve and you should be able to give a reason as to why you have them. They shouldn't just be crap you believe in blindly or trollish nonsense you tell people just to get a laugh.

so don't worry, i'm not trying to steal your rights, entitlements or freedoms. It's just my opinion that opinions dont' always need to be expressed. Like this one for instance , probably didn't need to waste my energy typing all this.

anyway, this all started because what you were saying passed off as trollish. If i have taken your initial post the wrong way I apologize, but to me it just seemed you were trying to cause issues. which ..is my opinion.

  • It's a 4:1 multiplayer game by default it's logical to assume that the que times for survivor's are going to be low and que times for killers are going to be high, but at the same time willing to provide for the fact that the reverse may be true at any given time.

However, when you start factoring in demographics, whether or not people play both, how many players actually stick to the game..

you really have an issue that only the devs themselves are weary of. As was rightly pointed out, we as the players do not have access to the statistics and other valuable information that actually explains this stuff, and even if the devs released it to us, it would probalby be useless informatoin anyway since we'd still be missing a lot of variables.

Needless to say, que times are not going to get higher, or lower than they already are, except for if the game loses a large chunk of it's poplatoin at once. That said, since we don't know the percentage of killers who play survivors or the percentage of survivor's who play killers, we can't rigthfully assume that x amount of killers leaving the game due to these changes is going to have such an impact on the game that the que times become 5 hours. For all we know, X amount of killers could play survivor so they are taking an equal amount of survivors out of the game with them, and y amount of survivors could play killer so they are taking an equal amount of survivors out with them..which one would assume would just balance the situation, but we can't calculate that can we? we don't have that information.

But let's say that every killer plays survivor, and every survivor plays killer, and that every player plays the game from 5pm to 10pm EST every day of every month of every year, and that there are 1 million players, 250k killers 750k survivors. this equals out to 1.25 million killers and 1.5 million survivors. IF HALF OF THE KILLER MAINS LEAVE THE GAME and half the survivor mains leave the game, then forgiving my attrocious math,

if you calculated all this and then divided the total amount by the 2 (the total roles in the game)

you would still have the same amount of active players playing your game..theoritcally.

Interesting I didn’t know there was a security thing in the past with matchmaking.

ya. you used to be able to switch between killer and survivor right in the lobby. now you have to exit out into the main menu to do so. The devs stated this was due to a security threat and other issues this was causing. I don't know all the details , pretty sure only they are privy to all the information as this is pretty much all they told us. It was a pain in the butt when they first implemented the change. Mainly because it was easier to just upgrade whatever character you were working on without having to exit to the main menu. I think it had something to do with the 2 killer glitch that was going on.

  • That hasn't been a thing for a while. I'm kind of guessing here, but i'm assuming it was causing security issues like what happened when they had the ability to switch roles in the lobby. Also, secondarily, people would constantly just lobby hop or outright rage quit/grief matches as soon as they found out they were a higher rank than everyone in the lobby.

    1. Be longer

    2. Pair you with lover ranks killers even more than they do now.

what's a lover rank and can i have some? 😂 i know what you mean, just being silly sorry.

  • @PumpkinKing said:

Waiting nearly 15 minutes for a survivor match and I finally give up knowing I'll get a insta queue switching to killer. So I switch to killer ready up and not even 5 seconds in I get a freaking match. Cool. Great. Guess I'll never play survivor again.

Have they discussed this issue somewhere, are they working on this. This is the most frustrating aspect of this game right now. Drives me up a freaking wall. Any shared experiences? I know swf is much worse. Raise awareness on this issue. Sorry, just a frustrated player who loves this game.

Edit: I understand why these queue times are happening such as swf ranking and the easier to stay in high ranks now changes, I just wanna know what's being done to fix it.

Also wanted to note that I love the Devs for this game and the hard work they put into it. They are trying <3

probably just the time of day. also make sure you have cross play enabled.

in other words, if you are going to lead with such a bold claim perhaps you should expect that people are going to react to it the way they are. It's how people work. Deal with it and stop using bait and switch trollish tactics just to garner reactions from people. very few people share your opinion that the new hex ruin is good. I think you will find that a lot of people will be disagreeing with you. It's not a popular opinion at the moment.

  • @Rivyn said:

Man, this thread. . . so, some people can manage a few kills per match without Ruin, thus, Ruin itself is not needed by anybody else? I once managed a 4k with Trapper without any perks against a purple team, so by that logic, any killer using perks is obviously a noob. Anybody crying about it is obviously a baby killer.

Just because some people can do something, doesn't mean everybody can. So you can do something without Ruin, congrats. Don't use yourself as the measuring post everybody else should attempt to match.

what else is new. this is what you get when your game has millions of players. nothing you or anyone can do about it. Companies these days just operate under the false assumption that more players means more money, when in reality if they had less than a million players they'd still make money and those players would continue to play the game all the time instead of having a player base that highly fluctuate and is mostly populated by toxic trolls. Same problem wow has, which is why they don't even tell people what their subscription numbers are anymore.

one guy thinks the new hex ruin is good..and therefore this must be the correct opinion and the opinion of everyone. screw the majority.

  • @then4321 said:

To all the baby killers out there who are whining about the Ruin change, I think you are forgetting that it's a Hex totem. It's a TOTEM people!

Why are you complaining like it slowed down the entire match? "Oh poor me, I can't kill a single survivor without it, what will I ever do???"

In 80% of my survivor matches, the totem is broken in the first 30-60 sec. Now the killer lost their perk for the rest of the match, nothing, zip, nada.

I play killer as much as I do survivor. I stopped running Ruin about 4-5 months ago because of that exact reason, what good is Ruin if it's gone in a minute.

You can still moan about it if you want, but you do not know what you're moaning about.

that's exactly the point here..it's a hex totem. it didn't need to be nerfed. now it's just a worse hex totem. also, for me it's not the change itself its the uh. lack of intelligence? that went behind the change. For instance, one of the top points had to do with skill checks , and yet there's already a perk in game that bypasses hex ruin by turning good skill checks into great skill checks.

so the change was not merited. it was not necessary. If survivors are having issues doing skill checks all they needed to do was use the tools already in game to help them until they learned the ropes. But clearly nerfing one of the only valid slow down perk in game was the way to go here , instead of just throwing spine chill and stake out on the blood web for a couple of weeks.

also dedicated testers like interact have done detailed breakdowns of all killer perks, their ins and outs etc etc.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdl_4H7dMKc&t=337s

you can clearly see his breakdown of all slow down perks here. Perhaps if you watch this video you will have a bit more knowledge. skip to the 35-36 minute marker..where he gives the tier list. as you can clearly see, hex ruin is highly regarded above any of the other slow down perks. also, he later clarified some information, and surge is a d tier perk and not an a tier perk.

  • ya, the juking is definitely a learning thing. Also, knowing when a survivor is mind gaming you. These are all learning curves.

Oh yes how dare killers not be as good as you how dare they not be able to to chase four survivors at once or lose two to three gens in a minute the biggest thing I've seen from the forms besides us vs them is people saying things like " I'm a red rank killer who can 4k easy on clown and legion no perks or add-ons and if you can't then git gud " it's honestly a bigger killer then us vs them

this is not reality. reality is that without a slow down perk by the time a killer even spots a survivor more than half the gens have been repaired. But ok. You just wait. This patch goes online and you won't have to worry about no killers chasing you..because we will all be gone. The game is just unplayable as killer without some sort of slow down perk, and that is just a fact. You think they would have figured that out by the fact 80% of us are using hex ruin..the only viable slow down perk in the game. But nope. Anyway, don't take my word for it, watch a stream from a rank 1 killer or something. 0% of them are on board for these changes. 100% of them think this is a joke and about 50% of them if not more are threatening to q uit the game over this.

So don't worry, no one will be chasing you come patch day.

All you had to do was use stakeout. That's it. One perk and you could have bypassed hex ruin.

I'm all for change when needed int his game, but this change was not needed nor asked for.

  • yes, I will be quitting this game as soon as REsistance comes out providing that is a decent alternative. My reasoning is I am so sick of behavior's policy on toxicity and trolling. I am tired of all these killer nerfs being made because survivor's whine and complain about killers constantly. Nothing is ever done to buff killers. Even the most simplest thing such as finally chaning how to get the merciless achievement is never done. Survivors literally can go afk a whole match by the exit gate and provided they get through the gate they will get some achievement. This game is doing nothing but catering to these people. This is not a smart way to operate your game. If all you do is cater to the survivor side you will lose killer players. And then what? if there's no killers how will the game operate. I am so sick of the trash talk, the trollish nonsense, the toxicity..coming mostly from survivors. que up as a lvl 1 doctor wiht 1 perk just trying to do your daily quest , and get yelled at, trashed, threatened..

like enough is enough. I don't wish to be yelled at constantly when I randomly receive a quest and decide to play that killer. The community in this game is garbage, and it seems anyone who tries to speak up against it just gets shut up and banned probably because it's coming from the survivor's side and they just happen to make up the majority of the game's population. Basically the last 3 sets of "reworks" have been specifically targetted at killers that survivor's find "unfun" to play against. You know what? It's unfun playing against these survivors yelling at you, threatening you, harassing you, trolling you every flippin match. Also, it's unfun to play against a killer who knows what they are doing to begin with. It doesn't matter what killer they are playing as..IT'S UNFUN TO LOSE. Even for the killer it's unfun playing as said killer until they get the hang of it.

now we got a bunch of changes that effect all killers. Hex ruin is ruined. It's trash, complete garbage. And why? because survivors can't perform a basic task? like for crying out loud, if your reflexes are that bad to hit a great skill check than that is not anyone's problem but your own. The skill checks need to be made harder not easier, to prevent gen rushing..but that would be a nerf in favor of the killer..which is unnaceptable!

like i'm just done. Your tomes are trash also. Took me over a month just to heal 2 surivvors with a perk and a medkit completely and the only reason i finished the challenge was because i lucked out playing against a legion killer who just stood there and let us get the challenge. but when I tried to speak up against it I got my post shut down because I kept telling peope I didn't want to hear their trollish nonsense and the moderator wrote me off as not wanting to hear anyone's opinion. what a joke. I actually specifically stated i was open to opinions, it was the toxic trolls posts that i was against. Very few people actually had any constructive advice on how to get this challenge done other than telling me to git gud and treating me like i was some idiot because the challenge was extremely easy, they were able to do it. It's easy. GOOD FOR YOU. There were some valid suggestions such as doing it with "SWF" , but outside that, all anyone did was troll my post and call me an idiot AND I GOT BANNED? WHY? FOR YELLING AT THEM? it's not an easy challenge ok. Good for you if you lucked out and didn't get a pathetic trash team who didn't die /dc instantly or run around the map bleeding everywhere refusing to be healed. Unfortunately, this was not my experience. I did not appreciate your pathetic trollish comments and attitude, nor being singled out and attacked by the moderator who just assumed I didn't want to hear anyone's opinion. No one was offering a valid opinion on how to get this challenge except for like 3 people. AND THOSE PEOPLE I DID LISTEN TO AND THANKED.

just ban my forum account purposefully. I'm not one who tolerates people's garbage and you can rest assured that basically everyone who trolls me with their toxic crap will get yelled at. SO just put me on perma chat ban and I'll only come here to read your garbage news about how the game is getting even more ruined than it was the last time you nerfed it.

You devs are just out of control.

  • Actually, the reason this perk is getting nerfed is because it requires next to no skill to use, relies on luck it won't just be deactivated and waste a slot and can have negative impacts on end game stats..

the survivor's have nothing to do with this one being nerfed. So there was no reason to attack them over it. Just saying. besides, hex ruin never really required "getting good" to bypass. Sorry if this sounds hurtful..but there really was never any need to learn how to get great skill checks. YOu could have just used

    https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Stake_Out

which would give you up to 2 great skill checks simply for being in range of the killer. so when you went to do the hexed gen..you would just bypass the hex lol.

    sorry to burst your bubble.

  • it's so widely used because it has the most effect on generator slow down than any of the other perks and doesn't require any sort of action to be taken by the killer. As a side effect it did have a huge impact on the gatekeeper emblem and vice versa..though i don't think most people using it ever made this correlation.

there's moderate disagreement on whether any of the other slow down perks matter. The issue seems to be that all the other perks have an activated effect. Surge is the closest thing tbh. But even that gets knocked. I don't think people seem to understand how surge works..

put a survivor in dying state, all generators within range start to regress (0.25 / sec), the same as if you had damaged them. ON TOP OF THIS, THE REGRESSION GETS AN ADDITIONAL 8% (AT LEVEL 1). So, if you down a survivor , any generator within range that has progress on it will be kicked and the regression will be multiplied by 1.08. AND THAT'S JUST FOR DOWNING 1 SURVIVOR. since this is an effect over time, you could theoritically put that survivor on the hook, find another survivor to put into the dying state and all gens within a certain range would start regressing again. Since the regression happens over 320 seconds and only ceases if someone stops working on them..you could theoritically put all generators on the map into a perpetual state of regression simply by downing survivors.

The only downside to surge is that it will not trigger if the survivor bypasses the dying state, if the survivor is interupted, or if they put themselves into the dying state for whatever reason. But odds are that even within a 30 yard range there are at least 2 generators with progress on them. I'm not sure. I've always preferred pop goes the weasel. It's technically an activated effect and is useless if you can't get to the gen in time..but it seems the most rewarding.

  • thank you for your opinion. I do not give a crap about it. Please refer to my previous comment

let me post it again here, since you are obviously too lazy to read it.

those aren't disagreements. THose are pathetic pointless statements that have nothing to do with what I am talking about. They do not offer any refute towards my claims, they are not backed by facts and it's pretty much pointless making them. If you want to come up with a legitimate argument about why I am wrong - feel free to do so. I will take your opinion and it will influence how I feel about this current situation. However, simply stating I am wrong because you are the best player in the world , and I should just git gud and that if I don't like the way things are I shouldn't play the game..

those are pathetic, dumb statements that even 2 years old are more intelligent than to make, and they do not take away from the legitimacy of my claims nor do they offer any valid reason as to why the game is broken the way it is, nor do they in any way defend said broken game.

    That is all.

I'm done responding to or posting any further comments on this post. Have a great day.

  • it's one week later. still haven't completed this thing. still joining matches where people healing themselves, 3 claudettes, and everyone has a medpack. still have the same issue. still have the same complaint. still nothing has been done about it. thanks very much. what a joke. what's worse is i have to listen to people whine about their so called hard challenge, one guy even going so far as to demand his whole team doesn't repair generators because he has to repair 4 generators all by himself apparently. If you are reading this, no you do not. no it is not the hardest challenge. all you literally have to do is participate in the repair of generators with your team while wearing a perk.. you don't even need to escape the match. I do not appreciate spending what is now 1 whole month trying to heal people TWICE with a med pack in one trial, just to read your pathetic nonsense.

Idk what you are trying to prove here, but people will just kill themselves on the hook, and if you play like the jerk you wrote people will just dc and play other games, so the dc penalties dont really help you in any way

When are you people going to clue in. Nothing about his playstyle in any way suggests he is a jerk. The only jerks i see are the survivors. DCING because the killer is winning the match..right.

  • high level tar bottle can do this :(

  • they really should just remove the ability to disconnect from a match. Granted, you are never going to stop people from dcing who wish to dc..but you can at least not have an easy access button which allows them to do it. Other online games I play take this approach and the only way to disconnect from them is to force quit , shut down your device or disconnect your router.

the penalties also are not doing anything. Most of the people who dc purposefully are usually doing so because they are trolls. Putting them in a time out chair is not a solution. They literally spend $1000s because they are sick in the head and find their behavior or ruining people's games "fun". They go out of their way to kite the killer to their team, dc as soon as it looks like the killer is accomplishing anything, dc so the other 3 survivors don't get the achievement for everyone escaping from hatch, etc etc. Then they sit there in the lobby waiting for the game to end just so they can call the killer a camper, tell the other players they suck etc, because someone playing level 1 the oni (or whatever) who just wants to complete the quest and has never played that killer before, really needs to hear how they suck from a guy who dcs as soon as you load in, put him on a hook etc.

PUtting them on time out is not a solution. Even if they did rack up 24 hours in bans, they would just go play another game during this time, come back and repeat the process. Also, it wouldn't take much to figure out what your disconnect algorithm is and once they figured this out they would just abuse said knowledge to bypass the penalty system in the first place.

  • All these people constantly whining about the legion and yet no one ever brings up the actual real problem, which is that this is supposed to be a character that is a 4 in 1, yet the purchase of the expansion only gives you access to 2 of the characters. If you are one who cares and wish to play as any of the remaining members of the legion you are basically forced into buying costumes from the store. Every time a new costume set comes out for the legion, you are again forced to buy 4 seperate costumes (usually just 2 or 3) all of which are pretty much different.. there are supposed to be 4 different characters, but where are the seperate masks for the other 2? on the store, and you can't be these characters unless you buy them..lame. Like, if you are going to design a 4 in 1, this was not the proper way of doing it. It's not really something that effects gameplay but it's still unacceptable.

  • just give survivors a bear trap item. When a survivor has this item, all other survivor's and the killer start the game with a bear trap. There is no way to remove the bear trap. UPon DC the bear trap will trigger and all remaining players in the match will instantly have their heads explode in a grand selfie decapitation explosion that immediately gets posted on the dcer's social media page.

either that, or a camp fire kit that they can set for the killer. When the camp fire is used, the killer immediately goes to the camp fire, and the survivor's scream at him that he is a camper. the game then ends after a glorious selfie montage.

This will keep you all happy.
