  • in low ranks i have found that 9/10 matches survivors will

only unhook you if the exit gates are opened, because they want the achievement.

    not unhook you at all.

purposefully die on hook while a team mate is on the way to rescue them, wasting valuable time and often resulting in that team mate being hooked.

whine at killer post game for "camping" because he sees scratch marks going towards the hooked survivor and needs to sacrifice them, or teleports to hook to stop unhooking

use the free self command to try and communicate the killer is nearby, but team mate shows up anyway and dies

run the killer to every hooked survivor

wakes themselves up before unhooking the survivor, then yells at freddy for camping even though they have no way of knowing anymore where he is located.

stand at hook pointing at team mate not doing anything so they can either grab hatch or item (again for dumb achievement)

fully repair generators well all 3 of their other team mates are either bleeding out or on hooks

disconnect as soon as being hooked

disconnect as soon as 1 person is hooked

disconnect as soon as picked up and carried to hook.

attempt to sabotage hook that killer is walking towards carrying survivor, despite obviously not having enough time to do so...

obviously this is just a trollish way of saying it's highly irrelevant. Unless you are quing with a full team, chances are one or more of these things are going to happen once , twice or more in a match.

hopefully this "altruism experiment" helps to change a lot of these things. I think dead by daylight is too much of a co-operative game for some. PUGS throughout the history of MMO have never been known for proper communication , taking away any sort of in game chat or ability to communicate during the match is definitely making this worse IMO. also, too many people just want to play the game to get achievements or do their own thing..which is fine..except that there should be a casual mode for that. The casual mode that exists isn't really cutting it since you have to form a team. It's mainly just used to make competitive teams , inheirently so. they need an actual casual public que badly for daily quests and achievements so that this garbage doesn't go on anymore.

  • ghost face never really had that great of a stalking ability to begin with. All you have to do is be looking in his general direction even though you can't actually see him, but the game thinks you can see him and his ability fails. when you are perfectly hidden that the actual person cannot actually see you, but the in game character can..that's just silly. Not to mention, you got to get as far away from that hook as possible or the person on the hook ruins the ability. When it first launched crows were even triggering it. Very subpar version of the shape. I avoid this characters at all means. lean and stalk...ya no thanks. I have no issues completing any ohter daily quest on the first attempt in 1 match. but this one - ya..i gave up all hope after multiple attempts and it just sitting in my quest log for over a month.

hope the liscencing rights on this character expires and they are forced to remove it from game. garbage perks and garbage ability. you may disagree with this, but how is having generators that aren't being repaired blocked off when you are carrying a survivor to a hook within range? it's useless. No one is repairing them, and no one is going to start repairing them when they see you carrying their team mate to be sacrificed. "i'm all ears" who in their right mind is going to be using rushed actions when they realize they are against a stealth killer? you shouldn't be using rushed actions to begin with. the whole survivor game play basically revolves around running only when absolutely necessary. and "furtive chase" ya, your terror radius is decreased during a chase..uh huh..what is this supposed to do exactly? they already know you are chasing them. like I said..useless perks. even the huntress' base perks are better than this. hook survivor in basement, walk away get notified as soon as someone enters basement to rescue them. the perk can also tell you where the basement is since anyone entering there to get that chest will show up. That's actually something that is useful and combines with monstrous shrine quite nicely or if you are going after holiday get together or just want to get all your sacrifices in the basement for whatever reason.

if you think i am just talking crap, the other stealth killer, i got to level 15 while playing the hag. i then played him once and got his adept achievement first attempt at rank 14. so ..ya. it's definitely not just me. i haven't bothered with ghostface at all in months though..so maybe i have learned something since then and should give him another shot..but i cringe at the concept of that.

  • as I previously pointed out, there is a lack of survivors from pre 1900s..despite the fact the game's lore goes as far back as ancient babylon. even if they didn't go that far back, the in game lore points to as recently as 1890s.. it would be nice to have some historical figures show up.. like people who disappeared in real life throughout history (db cooper, amelia airheart etc). Not sure why all the survivors have to be from modern times. this would evolve the story of the game..cuz currently there's all this in game lore about this guy from the 1800s and a priestess from ancient babylon..and it really is not fitting into the overarching narrative at all. like..if the entity can abduct a killer from 1000s of years ago..why not a survivor? 0 sense made. Why even talk about this guy who got abducted by the entity in the 1890s and have so much of the game's plot revolve around him. It's all very convoluted and out of place. if the entity can transcend time, it would be nice to start seeing characters from the past and future. Or, since survivors are all just skins anyway, why not have custom ones where the game can recognize your face and put you into the game. that would be cool..

If not this, hoping for that REsistance / DBD crossover event :)

DCs are not really kills, and despite the challenge saying "By any means necessary' having three people or two DC will not get the challenge done.

For some reason if you kill 3 Survivors with a mori or sacrifice and the 4th DCs... it still counts and the challenge is finished. Perhaps that's a fail safe for the challenge but... someone had that exact thing happen to them so...

Just play matches regularly and you'll eventually get a 4k... if you want to speed things up than you can just mori them all in the match since it says in the challenge "By any means necessary"

it's technically not functioning properly regardless since it says to "kill" by any means necessary. The keyword kill is different than the keyword sacrifice. there is a clear distinction here set by the game itself...accordingly, Having it properly set to "kill " would not negate the "by any means necessary" part, since there are multiple ways to "kill" survivors

put them into dying state and have them bleed out

mori them (there are 3 options for this, kill the last survivor, kill the last 2 survivors you hooked, and kill all survivors you hooked.)

Certain perks that allow you to kill the survivors after meeting conditions.

The fact the game is recognizing a sacrifice as a kill or a dc as a kill, isn't technically the way it should be functioning at all according to the games keywords. Under normal circumstances, a dcing survivor does not count as a sacrifice or a kill (you lose points for them doing this) so why it is functioning this way is beyond me. I think the way it is currently set up is actually harder than just going in there with a perk or a irridiscent mori anyway since doing this is typically a lot easier than just getting merciless and sacrificing anyone.

On the other hand, the way it works right now, all you have to do is join with a mori and everyone will just dc instantly completing the challenge...

sooo..might want to fix that ? although i think they just did in the patch.

  • they certainly whine and complain a lot more.

  • The only ones who actually "own" this game are those who bought physical copies of xbox, ps4 or switch. still waiting for the day they change the way digital ownership works :(

  • ah ok..so it's still the 2 week period, just different due to the patch being late. cool thanks.

  • the wording is off. It does not need to be a mori. It does not even need to be by your own hands. All you need to do is have all 4 survivors leave the game in any way that is them not escaping. IE

3 survivors sacrificed, 1 dc - quest done

1 survivor moried, 1 dc, 2 sacrificed - quest done.

    all mori'd - quest done.

3 survivors sacrificed, one runs out of time during end game collapse - quest done.

    etc etc.

if it's not working, it's either been patched since, is bugged or you let someone escape.

  • obviously this is just a troll post..but I can't resist the urge to point out that none of the survivors are any different than each other. Once you unlock all the perks they basically just become reskins, with the exception of Ash who talks. I hope they do something to give each individual survivor either some sort of personality difference or special ability exclusive to them like the killers.. not sure this will ever happen though. Nothing about the survivor aspect of the game actually makes much sense, since according to the game's lore, people have been abducted by the entity since at least the late 1800s, yet..all these characters we play as are from beyond that. This is further complicated by the plague..who comes from ancient babylon. It would be interesting seeing more interesting things happening with survivors (voice acting, special exclusive abilities, more characters from the past ..or even future). If this game is even along much longer, developing for playstation consoles has always proven difficult and since the ps5 is literally a year away it begs the question of whether this game will make it to 6 years let alone 10 (at least on console). Hopefully if it does we will see some more interesting things.

  • They need to reclasify (as i pointed out earlier in my poll) what "griefing is". I'll agree that the opposing sides taunting eachother should not be considered "toxic" and "griefing". It's a no brainer to me that if someone is chasing you trying to kill you you are going to run as fast as possible, outsmart them and make fun of them..or vice versa. Part of the game. HOwver, I think they need to draw a fine line between that and ppl destroying the matches of the other survivors by purposefully dcing, chasing crows, purposefully missing skill checks, standing there pointing at the hook instead of unhooking them, fighting over the hatch, chasing other survivors around trying to get their items , stalking survivors, letting them die so they can get their items or the hatch.. etc etc.

I think this might have something to do with this "altruism" experiment they are doing. They obviously have noticed a lack of team work among the survivors and I think they are trying to pin point what is going on statistically so they can try and figure out how they can adapt the game to work around this, or properly punish ppl for acting like that. Ya, sorry "punish " ..ya. It is what it is. A goalie who walks out of his net and purposefully lets the guy running right at him score..ya..he gets fired and probably sued. who cares if you disagree with me, the majority of the world looks down on this behavior and your opinion is not in the norm. No one appreciates the "i can do whatever I want" attitude that seems to be present among millenials (not that they are all like that), some of us tolerate it ..some less than others..lol. There should be consequences for this behavior. It's just a matter of what these consequences should be or whether or not the game should also be adjusted to make doing things like this feel less rewarding for the abusers. Like, for example, people used to hang around after matches and just act..uh..dumb. They invented the end game collapse. People used to just jump through windows and pallets far too much (they changed it so that after three times the windows are blocked). Ppl won't stop dcing, so they started banning people. That became unmanageable so they now are hoping the private servers will help them manage things.

Just be patient with them. They see what is going on, they are probably thinking of a clever way to handle it 😀

  • i guess i can see that. It really is only the one map she has issues on. I'll try to bear with it and work around it.

  • they did not "combine swf with play as survivor". they moved both kyf and swf to "custom game". as far as this whole thing about the switch to survivor, switch to killer button, tbh most of the time it just glitched out. The only convenience it really seemed to have was to navigate quickly to either team to upgrade your character. However, considering how you have to manually navigate through 17 characters on each side either by scrolling through them in the menu or going through them one by one.. in all honesty, it was pointless. You still have to manually select whatever character you want to play as and having 1 extra button press to do so ontop of the multitude of other button presses is not really time saving. Not to mention, it's a video game. You play video games by..pushing buttons. Whining about having 1 extra button to push ocassionally whenever you get bored of one team or the other..

well, it's just silly. there are so many other things that need to be worked on in this game. who cares about this. they patched it because they had reasons. If you don't wish to push 1 extra button to play a video game that involves pushing buttons..that is just silly. the only "inconvenience" this causes is the fact that it used to be there, and now is not. honestly, imo , it's not to be missed. Like i said, most of the time it just glitched out (grayed out randomly for no reason becoming unusable, became unpushable, crashed the game clicking on it) it was more of a hassle than anything.

  • i've noticed that the majority of killer related achievements (even those that you would get normally such as # of sacrifices, damaging generators ) are all less than 10% of players achieved..Even when I got the plague adept achievement it was like 0.3% , but then..her ability achievement was 0.8%.

I think the numbers + long wait times point to a small population of killers. Mind you it's 4:1 so that could also be a part of it.

  • This is ..uh..a bad idea. Why would anyone do this? first off - the chests turn white with anyone with this perk if they have been opened and still have an item. Secondly, if you take a small little item out of a big noticeable chest and just drop it on the ground odds are no one will even see it. However, if you open the chest, don't want the item..the other person may want the item and now doesn't have to go through the searching animation.. which is very helpful while in a chase and desperately needing a first aid kit so you can run off and heal yourself.

in conclusion it's actually far more helpful for someone with the perk to run around, open all the chests on the map and leave the items they don't want in the chests. Odds are their team mates will see the chests and that there is an item in there..far more likely of a scenario then noticing a first aid kit hiding in some bushes. furthermore, it just causes confusion if someone is after the vulture achievement, sees an item on the ground, grabs it , escapes the match and doesn't get thee achievement because some loon is going around throwing the contents of the chests all over the map..

not sure you thought any of this through.

  • it's their job to sabotage hooks. Can't complain about them doing their job. Now, if they are dcing, standing there doing nothing while their teamates repair all the gens and then they wait for them to die and grab the hatch.. or any situation in which they are not doing their part/causing their team to suffer report them for griefing. You can't rightfully whine at survivors for doing their job (just like they can't rightfully whine at us killers for doing our job). there are some things that also fall under the category of role playing (malicious stalking , letting all 4 survivors bleed out, mori, camping, tunneling, body blocking, tea bagging) none of these things are against the rules.

Arguably, if you were part of team of 4 survivors in the woods running from a vicious killer with a chainsaw hellbent on hooking you to sacrifice you to some demonic entity.. I'm sorry, but you can't rightfully tell me you wouldn't act this way , nor the killer act this way (hence why these things are considered roleplaying).

Just be grateful they didn't instantly dc, and then proceed to troll you on your steam profile acting like a sore loser. IMO they stuck around the match... and the bloodpoints you gained chasing them , stalking them and rehooking them made up for their behavior. They could have just dc'd and the match would have ended if they were the last one. YOu would have probably lost a pip unless saftied. You definitely wouldn't have as much bloodpoints. I see no issue in the way they acted, what they did actually resulted in you getting more BP then if you had just hooked them on the event hook right then and there and ended the match (most likely, just estimating).

Also, this is all really weird anyway, since when I went to sabotage an event hook earlier it would not let me.. weird.

anyway, the survivors already whine at us killers for doing our job..so..don't act like them. lol.

  • @Fibijean said:

You make some good points, but you're suggesting that people should be punished for focusing on completing their challenges, or simply for being nice in games. That's just silly.

you don't need to focus on doing the challenges+ throw the match and cause others grief though. All of the challenges can be easily completed through just playing normally. In all honesty, the biggest issue is the crows. The rest of the challenges don't really promote intentional throwing of matches and are just normal things you would normally do. So perhaps the solution would be to get rid of a challenge like that/not make them in the future.

  • @MrPenguin said:

It's not the players fault the challenges are dumb. Disturb crows? Crows are only on the edges of the map sometimes. Futhermore as a killer if you are in chase the survivor is in front of you disturbing all the crows instead. Its a bad challenge with no foresight, and that's just one example. Its only going to get worse as the challenges get more dumb too, especially with this "in a single trial" bs.

If they were just achievements that's one thing. But the fact this is time limited and some people have paid actual money for the pass, they're going to want to do it as fast as possible. If the battlepass was just match xp or something it would be different, but its not.

    that i can understand.

  • @Jacoby2041 said:

The devs put it in the game, they obviously expect people to focus on the challenges so if they didn't want people doing f*ck all 90% of the match to get a challenge then they shouldn't have made it that way. They should have made them all normal stuff you'd actually do and not something that you are required to throw the match and go out of your way to get the challenge done. Not to mention the ones that have "in one match" requirement means instead of throwing 1 or 2 games to get it, your progress resets every match so now you gotta mess up 10+ games before you finally manage to get it.

Anyone who doesn't care and wants to continue playing normally can forget it because even if they don't want to do that ######### it's likely that at least one other person in the match is going to so you're basically screwed

I haven't come across a single challenge that has not been something that I would do normally or attempt to do normally, or that would just happen under normal circumstances.

  • ya.. something is definitely wrong here. The rift pass was supposed to give me 25 ac a level basically. Just completed tome 1. went to rift to check my rewards. the rift is glitched. Error retrieving data from rift - response code 500.

Exited the game. The game took forever to reload, stuck on initialization. When i finally got back into the rift, i jumped from 80 AC to 205. I should be at tier 22 and am, however, all AC rewards have been removed from the rift. no 25s, no 50s. It gave me 125 AC for no reason, and removed the rest of the AC rewards from the tiers. mind you this is for the pc version, but the issue is the same..if not worse.

on a side note, steam is completely useless as far as saving screenshot as.

    Steam Community: Dead by Daylight.

    Steam Community: Dead by Daylight.

so ..i'd like to know why it is I jumped from the 80 AC i had, to 205. Was essentially given 125 ac for gaining 1 tier? also, this issue immediately happened after i completed the tome and collected my rewards, so guessing that has something to do with it..

also..now what? i completed the tome..literally 100% of it? how long is the wait for tome 2?

update : never mind..it just fixed itself..but it did not take away the 125 ac it gave me? was i supposed to get 125AC for one tier and completion of the tome?

  • @Captain_Spaulding said:

Who cares honestly? At this point devs are throwing noodles at the wall seeing if they stick. I'll do whatever it takes to get those rifts done tho believe that.

ya, i guess this is all an experiment towards some ranked reward system. good point.

  • that may be so. That is why I am asking this. there are tons of people who take this game seriously. How is it fair to them that they are quing up joining matches where the killer is just standing there doing nothing? maybe they paid for the product, but so did I. If we theoritically both have the right to enjoyment of said product, and one of us is not enjoying it due to griefing, constant dc and now this than that is an issue in my mind.

I don't want free pips. I don't want free achievements, free bloodpoints. to me, stuff like that is a disgrace. i want to play this game , enjoy it and be challenged, and I'm sure there are tons of people who agree.

for the record, you don't need to throw the whole match to chase 25 crows. YOu can play the game seriously and still accomplish this. The fact that they are doing this is plain silly and nothing but a confusion to the people taking the game seriously who are wondering where the killer went, did he dc? o there he is, why is he walking around the map. People are leaving games thinking the game is glitched. it is really causing nothing but issues, which is of concern since it hasn't even been 1 full day. like is this going to be an ongoing issue? are these rifts/tomes just going to cause people to endlessly que up for the sole purpose of chasing crows and throwing the match? If so, how long will this go on before it is recognized as a legitimate issue on par to achievement hacking/griefing.

This is a ranked game. It is basically solely a ranked game. Sad IMO people think stuff like this is acceptable, but if it's not in the contract we clicked "i agree" to then what can you do.

  • please refrain from commenting on my posts with your trollish nonsense. 0 tolerance. shouldn't have to "use a different shirt". simply making the devs aware the shirts are covering up claudettes charms. Thanks for your input but it's neither wanted nor cared for. sorry for my "attitude" but I spent 15 years of my life playing wow and don't wish to be involved with any more of this nonsense.

Dont be such a softy when it comes to language. Turn chat off if it bothers you so much. I would say let there be an option for every specific person to censor swears but not have it ban people.

I pose a question, but not in my title. Do you see a question mark in my title? No! His 1st statement is an answer to "Why Ash was brought into the fog", which isn't my question. Do you get it now?

If you'd read my 2 paragraphs, you'd know that I actually gave an answer as to why Ash is kept here by the Entity. My question is if Ash is the prophesied one in the Entity's realm as well, not why he is in the fog, it's literally a few words after that "I have a question" part you just quoted, but let's reply for the sake of replying.

    Why was Ash = question

    Why ash was = statement

(and that's,this is) Why I was chosen to be the president of this fan club.

Why was I chosen to be the president of this fan club?

Not to be a theoretical grammar nazi but..

Human beings translate language based off word order, context and implied tone/implied audience. Punctuation marks are there as an end all, not as an absolute. Your word order is wrong, so anyone who reads your topic sentence will think you are asking a question regardless of punctuation, as that is what our brains translate the word order as. For very similar reasons, anyone reading the following sentences will understand them

sith si a tac - this is a cat

ash was throwin into the furnace - Ashley Williams was thrown into the furnace , not ashes.

    a$h wa$ a g00d p3r50n - Ashley Williams was a good person

In other words, as long as someone is using words in the right order , picking the right words to use, and talking about something people are familiar with, they will be understood regardless of any spelling mistakes or other unpleasantries.

    -------

But hey, 2 completely different people who don't know eachother, or you must be wrong in holding the exact same assumption. But don't take my word for it, you can use google to look up what I am talking about if you would like. I have better things to do than argue all day.

    i agree with you.

VOICE CHAT SHOULDN’T IN THE GAME.

    but face it.

    SWF without voice chat.

just 4 friends play solo and play together with coincidence.

let them use discord then. can't stop them from using it. it is a bit unfair, especially since the killer is basically on his own. i guess they coudl lable discord as vac ban app? that seems a bit harsh though.

  • SWF would just use discord or other third party app.

in game servers already have issues, a voice chat would just further complicate things.

in the history of online gaming there are literally not even enough examples of games that i can count on half a hand, in which in game voice chat has contributed in any way to the overall enjoyment and success of the team. csgo is the closest ..but even those channels are forced on you and populated by trolls mostly.

Pugs would probably either not care to turn the voice chat on, abuse it or otherwise limit it's effectiveness.

Soo..that does sound like something an employee with access to statistical information about their game would say. Not that I know whether or not they did say it..likely though. Even if they didn't say it, i'm saying it. in game voice chat is a useless pointless idea that would probably just further encourage trolling and toxicity in this game. Please don't bring voice chat to this game. thanks.

  • I would start by resolving the main problem. Anyone who dcs during a match (1 minute after the match starts) purposefully would be instabanned. No warnings. No tolerance. No exceptions. They would be permanently instabanned. This would be an ip ban/mac address ban. If it's on console it is a psn /mac adress ban. 0 tolerance. It's inexcusable that this crap is going on basically 3/4 matches.

Onto the second issue, anyone caught swearing, using racist language and otherwise being verbally abusive - insta ban. Same as above.

I know this is probably not a highly popular view to hold, but it needs to end, for this game and all games. Snoop dogg and ice t getting on twitter/youtube and telling people not to be toxic is just not working.

As far as in game issues go , there are certain killers who just have useless perks. There are also certain achievements that are next to impossible to get.

Step 1 - get rid of all ranked achievements. if you are rank 1, you don't need an achievement for this.

Step 2 - move most all non adept killer/survivor achievements to be completable in casual mode.

Step 3 - change basic killer perks so that they are actually useful.

Final Change - there needs to be a casual mode for casual play/doing quests.

  • just got adept plague. Contrary to what has been said, you do not need to not use your power. that said..0.4% of all players on steam have it and it definitely wasn't easy to do. In fact, with 3 survivors sacrificed I was losing rank due to the cleansing etc. Not sure what is up with her power. O well.

I don't believe they programmed it to give people the rights to disconnect as they please. They did it to prevent others left in game suffering from accidental crashes while loading into a match.

A player can't or shouldn't have that privilege to dislike a map or mori. I imagine no one likes to get moried. But killers have that offering and they should be able to use it without someone disconnects on them. And if you don't like a map bring your map offering or bare with the map you are dealt with.

Regarding to your in game disconnects being worse. I agree, but it is a punishable offense to disconnect during a game. They can't do it always. Or suffer the consequences. Plus I believe this free escape in the beginning of a match, inclines disconnecting even more.

not claiming this was done with this intent, claiming it is an after effect. obviously the intent was to add to the game thematically. However, they are intelligent people who probably realized beforehand that ppl were going to be toxic trolls in their game, so it's not like they didn't account for people purposefully dcing.

I'm struggling with Nurse and Plague. If it was to just get a merciless win with any perks, or to get 4 kills with only their teachables I would have had them both by now.

Changing the trophies to match their description was a mistake. They should have just changed the trophy descriptions to "Achieve the no-one escaped scoring event using only their Unique Perks" It was still a good challenge with the old system.

ya same here with the plague. I got the no one escapes (no dcs, all 4 sacrificed) with her base perks, got all worked up as it transitioned to the ranking screen..but only got ruthless because my other emblems suffered :(

  • haven't had too many issues yet. I have 7 of them. 4 survivors, hag, huntress and wraith. Hag i basically got second time playing her wraith took a bit longer. His base perks are not the greatest, but his irridiscent addons did the trick once those 3 perks hit 3. Huntress was a bit tougher. Her base perks are bad.

As far as the survivors.. I've never really considered them a serious matter. It's pretty much get to level 15, use only your 3 perks with an item , escape the match. (you can do it at level 10, but I am levelling all the characters to 15 for the 4th slot) Whats worse with survivors, is once I get the adept achievement there's really no reason to even bother playing them other than a few you like. You can dump bloodpoints into them to get prestige and teachables, but outside that..

I really feel the game does not really treat survivors with the same attitude it treats killers. Every killer basically has their own unique ability which gives them a different playstyle which gives them a point to play> All survivors have is perks, which you can teach to other survivors. I feel when they made ash they were doing something right. Ash may just be another survivor but he at least he talks.

Just because we don't see the offerings, doesn't mean they are not there, does it?

They can still do their jobs without us knowing it in the first place.

Like i was saying. The way it's programmed currently is essential. If a player dcs during this waiting time (offerings+loadscreen) the game just cancels and no one's rank is affected. If they take this away , and the killer finds himself in a map that he hates , so dcs, he loses 1 pip. If the survivors go through half the match and then realize he has a mori, and dc, they lose 1 pip. The way it is setup is so that anyone can dc during the time it takes to go from burning the offerings and loading the game, and no one is affected. It even goes so far during these loadscreens to tell you what killer you are facing (usually, but not always).

All this information is essential to know beforehand, not only for a better game experience but also so that people can make the choice to dc before the game starts without causing anyone to lose rank. It's a pain in the butt when you are waiting sometimes 30 minutes for a match as killer, but it's better in the long run.

Not sure I answered your question properly. Tired. Sorry.

  • Just try to pay attention to indivivudal generator progression. You can use discordance which will tell you what generators are being worked on by two or more people. However, you are really best to use pop goes the weasel. down a guy, hook him, smash the gen for instant 25% + regression. He gets off the hook? no biggie. Down him again, another generator instant 25% regression. It's hard to get used to, but you can basically reset a generator to 0 if you are applying enough pressure alongside either of these perks. then, when all your gens are safe, and you are down to 3 or less survivors, then you can start worrying about what that guy is doing. I wouldn't worry about rank atm if you are new also.

  • The way it is currently programmed is that the offerings come before the load screen. For reasons such as offerings that pick maps, it is not possible to handle this any other way.

  • they already reworked the legion.

  • ouch. that doesn't seem right at all.

  • if we are after rank, nothing is going to increase or decrease the odds that a killer will "tunnel" "camp" or otherwise chase after you, other than you playing killer. It is our job to do so. Defend hooks, break generators, chase you across the map, realize we are being looped, ignore you, go after someone, pay attention to survivors with troublesome perks/addons/items and try to get rid of them first, and pretty much to sacrifice you to the entity. some people don't seem to care about rank. this game really needs a proper casual mode.

  • I thought I had seen it all. Then I got whined at in spanish :( It just never ends. On the other end of the scale, I have also been apologized to by survivors for them doing there job, which is understandable depending on what part of the world they come from, but I always just question them and tell them "no, nice teamwork gg". I wonder if anyone really gets the point of this game lol.

  • in all honesty, you are best just deleting this quest. It requires you to lean and stalk. the issue with this is that ghostface will come out of his stalking face as soon as a survivor walks by, if you look at a hook survivor etc etc. Most survivors will group up taking advantage of this running around like maniacs forcing you out of stalk. The odds that you will sneak up on a survivor at a gen are basically next to nill without already having the required skill. There are so many easier to do quests. ALl trying to accomplish this one is going to do is put you are risk of tanking your ranking.

That said, it's definitely worth trying to get the hang of this killer and good luck :)

  • It's a bannable offense. Too many disconnects can cause the killer to lose rank and leave those who are trying to play seriously basically on their own. the post game toxicity is also a bannable offense. despite this, there doesn't seem to be any sort of decline in either of these things.

  • climbing from rank 20 to rank 10 about 3/4 matches are ruined by dcers. out of this 75% , 10% of those are actual legit disconnects while the rest are just rage quits. About half that number also are toxic post game for those that are left. It's bad. I alrady quit one mmo over toxicity, and I played that for 15 years. to be blunt, i'm refer to the type of toxicity that effects your over all enjoyment of the game to an extreme extent, not just people who are ticked off and making trollish comments.
