I noticed it yesterday along with Freddy's dream snare delay. Every patch brings another major bug.
The Freddy one sucks too. But I feel hag is just not a chaser and relies on those teleport quick hits. I just can't play her well right now and it breaks my heart to have to shelve my baby 😭
-
Do you have boost mode enabled on your PS4 pro? I don't have any issues
-
Really? I think it's possibly the coolest skin ever lol
-
I play mostly on PS4, but I honestly don't understand what you mean by nice slideshow.
-
Honestly I think it is Freddy when you factor in a couple things. He has amazing map pressure, can cut off loops, and is EXTREMELY easy to play. Spirit and nurse are equally as powerful in my opinion but have a much larger skill gap imo.
-
I love clowns. The creepy circus music is awesome in my opinion

Nah fam. Survivor = 1990 axel rose. Killer = 2020 axel rose.

There's more survivor challenges than killer challenges as to not affect matchmaking too heavily. This is something that we've learned from the first Tome. When there's an equal number of survivor and killer challenges, there ends up being too many people trying to play killer and killer queue times skyrocket as a result (since it takes four survivors to fill one killer lobby).
I can assure you bias has nothing to do with it; nobody likes waiting a long time for a match.
Oh yeah? Well explain why there are 4 survivors in a match and only 1 killer. Seems extremely unfair. If you had no survivor bias it would be an even 4 v 4 match. You're not fooling us.

Honestly, a really good legion build is PGTW, Thana, I'm All Ears, and M&A. Love this build so much and I'm All Ears really messes with people at jungle gyms and L&T walls.
If you are wanting to keep your Ruin & Surveillance combo, I suggest running it along with Thana and Dying light. Just so you can keep the gen speed hinderance throughout the match, rather than using PGTW when your totem breaks.
I actually like this idea. Going to try that one out. Then I'm at least getting something from all the perks and not just essentially having a backup perk. But I'll lose monitor which sucks lol.
-
Yep, just camp until they move. Works every time.
-
What is toxic and why is it not fair?
-
Noed is ridiculous. Bhvr needs to offer a way to counter it. Like if there was a way to keep it from activating it would be much more manageable.
-
I don't care what the devs or anyone else says. When the opponent, killer or survivor messages me with the likes of "#########" or any hate really...I have won.

I uses ruin on Hag?I don't know a single Hag main (including myself) who uses ruin.
Cool

Trapper is still better than my girl hag 😭

I suck as huntress. I recommend watching umbra play. I know people will argue Zubat or Scott jund but I think umbra is the best huntress there is. She is lights out with those hatchets. Check her out and see what she does. I'm pretty sure her normal set up includes whispersand BBQ. I can't remember what else
-
When you actually think about it..."much" does sound like it should have a T in it.
-
Because survivor is boring. I'm sorry but doing gens is mind numbing. It has only gotten worse now. I don't speak for everyone but I'm a toxic survivor because it entertains me.
-
I don't know if they broke the game. Some killers (hag) are next to useless now
-
Have fun man. But I will say you should definitely try survivor some time. It is insanely easy and you can make it really fun. The wait times are not the best but it is entertaining.
-
I am trying to be less critical but I do understand what you're saying. It can be very frustrating. Especially when it happens over, and over, and over, and over, and over again. With each update there are as many bugs introduced as there are fixed. And you always have the head scratchers. Oni goes live....wraith has 6 new bugs making him a chore to play. How are they related?
I will end by saying I know Jack ######### about coding etc and I do feel overall they do a good job. But maybe lay off a couple in the art department and bring in another QA?
-
I'll let you in on a secret. Majority of red rank, purple rank, and green rank are all about the same skill level. Only difference is how many hours they put in between rank resets.
-
Have you tried not bringing an item that speeds up an already too fast objective and see if you still get dodged?

maybe because it isn't just annoying to new players, but to old ones like me. DS was annoying to killers and was changed, instaheals were annoying and changed, and even the instagen add on was annoying and changed due to that reason. they are looking to fix stuff and make the game more fun for everyone, they are working on a rank rework through chapter 15 if you look at their year plan that was released back right before chapter 12 before the freddy rework.
i understand that hex ruin was nice for slowing the game down but it made it very annoying to deal with as someone who has more than 50 days = 1200 hours played on mostly survivor and more recently, killer, with the new doc changes and ruin being changed im gonna start playing more killer since it seems more appealing, alot of stuff is going to be changed in the new year to help both sides.
this new change is not bad, it will just have them see how messed up the game is and fix the core problem which is that there are only one main objective for survivors which can cause killers to get easily gen-rushed. most of the problem is due to matchmaking so once it gets its rework everything should be almost good.
I agree with most of what you said. However if they changed DS to make it less annoying they failed miserably. More people run it now than ever and it's annoying as hell lol.

I don't think so.
It's a win harder perk. Meaning it only really helps when you ate already winning.
But doesn't do much to help you make a comeback.
This sums up dying light perfectly imo.
-
I think they are both pretty balanced. I'm actually terrified of billy getting a "qol" rework. Hag is one that sort of scares me a little with ruin being deleted but we will see.
-
Just like killers counter gen rushing by "applying pressure" survivors can counter tunneling by getting good and making the killer regret wasting more time chasing you.
Also, I don't speak for everyone of course but whether or not others are having fun or want to quit playing because of how I played does not concern me what so ever.
-
My opinion is, even after the rework nurse is still one of the only killers in the game that says "######### your loops" and is still s tier. Spirit is s tier for the same reason. Freddy is A and then everyone else is blah
-
Nurse a B tier 🤣🤣
-
Is this a bad thing? I actually enjoy it. I love knowing I pissed them off. Same when I'm a toxic survivor and the killer is complaining. I read it, smile, and throw out a GGEZ before bouncing.
-
I'm actually currently working on getting all perks on wraith. I have put about 3 million blood points in him over the last couple of weeks. I believe i have gotten 4 BPS out of that.

I honestly don't think there is a better huntress around. I know many will say Zubat or Scott...even umbra says they are but I don't agree. She is amazing.

Don't let your body block the reveal attempt on him. Third-person view actually hinders the reveal process to some extent. Best way to practice is to find him chasing someone and break him out then. Record it if you can and figure out where you are having issues in your reveals.
I honestly don't have much problem breaking him out unless he's running that one nasty add-on which really cuts the distance down (don't play him so can't remember the name). Otherwise, I normally win the stareoff, or miss it by a half second or so, and that earns me the right to get tunneled a bit. Ghostface's are REALLY touchy about you breaking them out of stealth.
Entity help you if you are a passive observer in a chase and break him out of stealth. I've gotten facecamped a couple times for that. It is funny AF though. There's usualy a second or two of Ghostie staring at me before he comes to take my soul. You can almost feel the raw fury and frustration.
Wait...so if he is say in front of me to where I can see...lets say his right half of his body, with his other half blocked by my body standing there...that will interfere? If so I think this may be my issue lol.

Nah man. I was just making a joke.
People complain constantly about how ghostface is annoying because "it's impossible to reveal him". Meanwhile...I do it consistently every time I face him. From like, miles away. "It's so hard, though".
ahhhh, so i'm too dumb to be able to break ghostface and too dumb to pick up on your joke. Thanks for making me feel worse lol

It obviously isn't since the survivors that play against me do it with ease. I'm just an idiot that cant figure it out lol.

I honestly don't know what a win is. To me, it is pipping. Even at rank 1, I want to see that pip or I consider it a tie or a loss. As survivor I don't care whether or not I survive, as long as I pip. As killer I don't care whether or not I kill anyone as long as I pip. the problem for me with the 2 kill 2 escape is as killer, more often than not, that is a depip.

I think 4 generator perks on any killer is overkill. If games are going way too fast when you're not stacking gen perks, the games aren't going too fast BECAUSE you're not stacking gen perks. There are other factors at play. Remember that you're facing 4 survivors, not the 1 you're chasing.
Wraith in particular eats pallets for breakfast. I'd at least have Enduring. He often gets free first hits, sometimes with survivors in really bad spots. Save The Best For Last can allow you to get 2 hits in if you catch the survivor in a deadzone. You'll want some tracking too. Nurse's/BBQ are good. Thrilling Tremors if you run Pop. Lastly, take a gen perk. Corrupt Intervention or Pop. If you really must have two, drop Enduring.
I believe you are correct. As peanits pointed out and zubat as I just asked him on stream...I think i've convinced myself that without current ruin I have to stack the box with these perks and I need to get out of that mindset.
-
@Peanits said:
For both of those, the main thing I'd be concerned about is that you're running four perks to slow down generators but nothing to help you end chases faster (especially on Wraith, who isn't the greatest in a chase).
Can't speak for everyone, but I'd probably swap two of them out for Spirit Fury and Enduring. Wraith's really good at closing the distance, but loses a lot of it as he uncloaks. You can use that to your advantage to burn through a lot of pallets quickly; a lot of people will stun you as you uncloak to avoid the speed burst you get after you uncloak.
If that ain't your style, something like STBFL or PWYF is nice. PWYF is nice on Wraith in particular since you can cloak to instantly end a chase and get a stack.
That way, you'll be able to get some shorter chases and get that pressure up faster. Totally up to you, though. If you'd rather focus only on slowdown because you're confident that you can get quick chases with the Wraith, that works too.
Very good point. I think I do this too much on all my builds...as in I put too much emphasis on the gen slowing perks. I actually just asked zubat about my builds and his answer was about the same suggestion you are giving as he said "I just run the basic ######### spirit/enduring on wraith" lol.

OOOO are we talking about retaliation with ruin?
I'm just gonna run my basement ghostface. Think insidious Bubba but sneakier, and teabaggier.
Sit where you can hide from people walking by, but have a good view down the stairs; wait for someone to go in for some reason (or just down someone near the basement and take them in); then repeat process as you can't get BT'd while in stealth and can always sit far enough away to not be spotted by Kindred. GGEZ Lemon Squeezy
Where in my post does it look like i'm talking about retaliation for ruin?
-
inner strength is one of my favorite perks. I see nancy and steve all the time. Demo not so much though.
-
There are honestly 47292649 other posts where we can air our grievance on the ruin change. Let's not use every thread on the forum to do so please
-
There is already a very OP counter to face camping. It is just up to the survivors to use it.

I've 4k'd with it every time. :)
Haven't played it since Wraith got bugged though, ngl.
wraith is probably my favorite killer to play. I'm trying to plan a new build in the hopes that he does get fixed because i'm the same, his bugs have kept me from playing him lately.

You're not going to find a SWF lobby any faster. It's just currently broken.

If you have a lot of "The Game" map offerings on Wraith, I suggest using "The Ghost" and "The Beast" add-ons, with Dark Devotion, Sloppy Butcher, Pop Goes the Weasel and Enduring.
Dark Devotion supplements this build and is the meat of it. Sloppy Butcher to keep survivors injured and slow the game down a bit. Pop to slow the game down a bit more. Enduring to deal with the 20 safe pallets on this map and supplements Wraith's Windstorm.
"The Beast" and "The Ghost" add-ons make it so you have terror radius when stealthed, but lose it for 6 seconds when unstealthing despite "The Beast" add-on being active. These two, combined with dark devotion, on The Game where your terror radius can be heard behind walls and through floors, makes your terror radius absolutely ######### confusing. Combine this with fake ringing the bells a few times or just uncloaking and cloaking randomly so they can't keep track of what state you are in as well as pinging your obsession a few times and keeping survivors constantly injured with sloppy butcher, makes them very intimidated of doing gens or constantly in a state of getting caught completely off guard whether you have a terror radius or not.
This is pretty evil. I like it.

That's only because it's easy for potato's to reach red ranks with the current system. However they rarely ever beat a team of fully optimal survivor's on comms.
Lol I like the line "The very high skill-level Killers would probably disagree...", when OhTofu started his last stream off saying "I'm upset, i'm genuinely upset, but i'm not gonna talk to the dev's about it - i'm just gonna let them do their thing" about the updates.
Yeah, not going to lie, to be given an example of really good killers who would disagree with my statement only to have listened to 2 out of the 3 examples say the exact words I typed on their stream is a little disheartening lol.

As an avid Wraith player, I can easily get by at all ranks with the same set-up.
Brutal Strength, Enduring, Spirit Fury, BBQ
You keep pressure by constantly having someone on hook, forcing them to go save while someone else is getting downed.
Still having trouble? Run Coxcombed Clapper or Bone Clapper with "The Ghost" Soot to get the jump on them even easier.
Taking the approach of ######### your pallets lol. I like it.

"Your skill as a killer only goes so far. At the end of the day no matter how good you are, if you go against optimal survivors you are finished."
The very high skill-level Killers would probably disagree... for example the streamers like Fungoose, Ralph, or Tofu who regularly 4k without addons against top Survivors
...I think they would disagree with you, though, since the sentence At the end of the day no matter how good you are, if you go against optimal survivors you are finished is absolutely true, even for them. That's assuming they are playing with all the killers, obviously, if we are talking about Spirit / Nurse then things change.
But, again, let's ask them, maybe starting with one of the top players that read the forum: @ScottJund ?
Tofu was asked, on stream this week, "what tips can you give when you are going against a team of 3 or 4 optimal survivors?" His response "Honestly you just take it and move onto the next match." And I don't know if you watch tofu but dude is incredibly optimistic. It's part of why I love him, he does not complain really at all. He plays the game, he has fun, he is entertaining. So when he says something like that you feel pretty confident he is not just complaining and whining. He also went on to explain why every single suggestion people kept throwing at him would not fix the issue. He explained why it is such a hard issue to deal with to which I agree completely. Fungoose who while he will complain and is heavily killer biased, it is easy to see dude is freaking amazing at this game. His knowledge of absolutely everything in this game and how it works is mind blowing. He has touched on this as well. I'm not saying the devs are survivor sided because this is an issue and from someone who complains a lot I honestly think the devs are doing a great job. But this is an issue and it is frustrating whether like tofu says it is only around 10% of matches or not.

You mean the people who are gifted kills due to playing the "right way" and sharing in the "right opinion"?
I'm not sure what you mean playing the right way. I can say tofu plays more than fair. He doesn't care about 4k. Fungoose on the other hand does. It is not a win for him if it is not a 4k. He is exceptional at the game. He knows where every crow spawns on every map and uses more information in 5 minutes than i can process in an hour. But he also views every tactic as fair game. He will camp, he will tunnel, he will slug to get his 4k. I do not want to play like that at all.
-
on one hand I dont think so because reaching rank 1 is too easy. On the other hand the grind in this game is insane and I think extra blood points wherever possible is not a bad idea....so i don't know lol.
