Holy damn.
25 flippin' pages.
I think this is the longest thread on this forum, ever. Correct me if I'm wrong.
-
Best: Billy, by a LOOOOOOOOOOONG shot. Oni is an honorable mention.
Worst: Hag, no question.
-
I don't think any of them are able to feel remorse at this point, it really seems like the Entity shattered all of their minds in its realm (excluding the easily-to-manipulate ones, like Demo and Bubba). Except for the already evil ones, like Doc, Clown, Trickster, GF, Myers. PH is only there because he wants to be there so he doesn't count.
I feel like there are some who try to hold back but fail to, but I dunno.
-
If you rarely used it then why do you want it reverted so badly

Again, the Killer can also be a complete scumbag and still get a huge amount of BPs due to BBQ.
But if BBQ would actually only reward the "good boi"-Killers, would that be a Nerf?
Would be really difficult to play like a scumbag while getting all 4 stacks at the same time.
The only time a camper could get the other 3 stacks with BBQ is if the survivors play like morons.
-
BBQ is by far the most healthy perk in the game. It's a perk that rewards the killer for playing like a good boi. If it gets nerfed then I also fear the outcome.
-
Trapper and GF are the main killers that truly need buffs. The others need QoL changes or even full-on reworks. Maybe Pig and Myers, but I think a rework suits them more.
Trapper needs the sack base-kit, or the bag, and GF needs faster cooldown. Right now those two are the most add-on reliant killers in the game other than Myers.
If Myers doesn't get a rework and gets the Demo treatment as well, he could use base-kit J.Myers.
-
Isn't that a good thing tho? Twins are super miserable to go against. I respect that they need to camp, slug, and tunnel to win as Twins but it's still very annoying to play against them.

New animations on launch needed work, they are much better now
The only thing that sucks about them is the fact that survivors have no head turning animation when crouched, it just snaps
The new animations also gave us the new and improved survivor nodding. A nice crisp 12 fps nod
The nodding from the new animations is unironically the best part of the animation update.
-
The old animations were just... wacky and outdated. The new ones are a lot smoother-looking and nicer to the eyes, in my opinion.
-
Poor OP, it only took them 1 year and 3-4 months just to get a response from someone sympathizing with them.
-
A deez one too.

Snares are just a rehash of clown’s bottles but they forgot the fun part of using clown bottles. Strategically throwing bottles is infinitely more fun than just spamming snares at a loop
I think Clown was an incredible take of an anti-looping killer, and I love playing as him. Being able to spread the smoke out is so damn fun to mess around with. The difference between him and Freddy is that he actually takes a brain to play.
-
Well written. I don't like the current Freddy, however I will say Dream Projection is fun as hell and I believe they can implement that to another Freddy rework that is more reminiscent to old Freddy, a much more interesting, creative, and unique killer.
Dream snares basically turned Freddy into generic anti-looping killer, and was a lazy concept. Place ######### on the floor, how original.
-
As I've said in another post:
Saying "just bait out Dead Hard" is like saying "just do bones against NOED." It's inconsistent counterplay.
-
The guy on the hook sacrificed their life to save everyone else.
Plus I'd be blessed to be facecamped by Lord Bubba.
-
Don't forget about Rusty Shackles and Mint Rag, god I hate those add-ons with a burning passion.
Playing against Hag is an absolute snorefest. Watch as she walks around you while you're hooked and places 10 traps up your ass. Even if they don't camp they're still annoying as hell to play against.
-
Twins being a 110% speed killer and someone else controls Victor... I love that.

Ever heard the term: don't feed the trolls?
Do I really blame OP for having to vent about this? What if they got reported? I don't blame them for getting worried.

But...Why? Like I get the joke, but I'm so concerned.
Yeah, I'm very concerned as well.
-
Probably moved to Feedback & Suggestions.
-
I like this. Blood Pact is a perk that encourages sticking together, which is why I love it. It's basically a 2-player scenario in DBD. This buff does the concept well.

The buff he needed.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2242218#Comment_2242218
He need QoL improved, not increasing the number. Start with 3 traps (equal to Yellow bag) can make it so easy to do 3 Gen strats.
I would have him:
- Start with 1, able to carry 2 (so the Brown bag isnt redundant)
- Traps spawn 30m away from the map boundary (so you can save 15sec per trap collecting)
- Put skill check while Disarming trap, skill check zone affected by Unnerving Presence. Failing will get trapped.
Hey that's actually not a bad idea, what if the survivor that fails the skill check gets their hand trapped, gets injured, and gets the Incapacitated status effect?
-
Definitely needs an add-on pass. If he gets an add-on pass and buffs (like Demo) instead of a rework, make J.Myers base-kit pls.
-
Since I change my Steam username every now and then, it'll be pretty difficult to see if anyone's played with or against me (although my real username is stated in my Steam page). Might consider changing it to my actual username so people can see if they've played with or against me.
-
Base-kit Melodious Murder, rework that add-on, then allow Trickster to carry Main Event.
-
Congrats on 100 discussions! Anyways...
Nuking the map would make it WAY more fun to play on. Like, who wouldn't want to survive in a crater?
Oooh... nvm, you meant remove it from the game entirely. Yes, please do.
-
Blade pierces through a survivor thanks to Cut U Thru, blade shatters and deals 50% more laceration thanks to Edge of Revival. Really powerful and is pretty damn fun as well
-
Death Throes needs a change, without a doubt. I LOVE the idea of having an add-on that rewards good hits, but it just doesn't do it well. And yeah Trick Blades are ass.
Oh and also Edge of Revival and Cut U Thru is the best add-on combo for Trickster, period. Even better than Soda + USB.

Oh make no mistake, I completely agree. Friday 2 is up there among my favorite horror movies of all time. A couple of others in the series as well.
I'm just saying, IF a mere skin is all that we could get, period, due to rights and whatnot, would it be worth it? Again I say no.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2241768#Comment_2241768
I just don't get it. I don't understand how people can alter the files of multiplayer games, take them online, and somehow not get detected. Whether it's different skins, animations, unfair hacks, etc., I don't understand how people get away with it. But I guess if it can happen in a 500 million game like GTA V, it can happen to any game.
I mean, the devs said they're fine with people altering the skins in the files. Modders in DBD choose not to do unfair stuff, like making objective (generators and totems) textures more visible or being unfair in general. Modding is fun tbh.

A dev build was accidentally released at some point.
Savvy modders have been able to crack that version and manipulate game files. (though it's not able to be played on live servers)
Screenshot is a reskin of Trapper using a some Jason model.
So technically Jason is in DBD in that screenshot, just not an official version of the game.
Well actually, they figured out how to mod the live build of the game itself.
One of them actually managed to import Billy's old animations and remove the overheat glow in the live version of the game. Mod makes Billy WAY more enjoyable to play, I used it and it's amazing.
(The mod does not remove overheat from the game)
-
@Kebek said:
In a certain way yes but probably not the one you think.
In my opinion, current overheat should be rebalanced into also an overclock mechanic. Meaning once you hit certain thresholds (50%, 75%) you begin to get bonuses like faster charge, faster mm speed, more CD reduction all together since to use a saw at that state risks you getting overheated and going on a massive CD.
That would imo be the best way to balance current billy.
Other than removing overheat, this is definitely the best possible way to make Billy enjoyable to play as, other than fixing those scuffed animations of his.
-
Nah, I think base-kit Billy should be left alone (not saying we need overheat changed tho). Speed can be problematic if you're on Lery's, or if you're running steering add-ons.
Sometimes I might be in the mood for Flick Billy, or sometimes I'm in the mood for base-kit Billy, or maybe I might feel like playing drift Billy, 4.4m/s Billy, M1lly if I feel like memeing, or even braindead Billy (Speed Limiter).
Man, there are so many Billies.

Bottle count for the Afterpiece Tonic and the Afterpiece Antidote are now separated.

@Dpooly said:
@glitchboi It doesn't encourage it, people are lazy...huge difference
Just because you got it on your second try doesn't make it easy to others. But whatever, your opinion, my opinion. Let's agree to disagree.

@Dpooly said:
@glitchboi My point is they aren't encouraging toxic gameplay, people resort to it because they don't wanna challenge themself. I got it second try, no lame 'tactics' (facecamping) required.
That's why I said it encourages facecamping, it's the easiest way out of it. I never said it forced Plague to facecamp.

Yes, this is true, but he can spare a bottle for mobility, plus he's 5% faster than Slinger.
I dunno, I mean yeah if you have 1 bottle left it's always best to drop an antidote then reload, but it's just to get value out of that last bottle.
Slinger is still extremely powerful in chases and has an excellent 1v1 game. However at the same time Clown is more consistent in chases. It's kinda like how Nurse is less consistent than Spirit, but is still way more powerful than her.

Slinger has a good chase and that's it. That's why. At least Clown has mobility.
As a Clown main, he doesn't have actual mobility, the antidotes are meant to be a chase utility and they do a damn good job at doing so.

Bottled time sounds way better than the actual name of the add-on... I might start calling it Bottled Time.
I will admit I didn't come up with it, but I do like calling it that.
-
Blight is really fun but also really buggy, so you'll probably tilt playing him.
I think once you learn his anti-loop with tonics and antidotes, Clown is really fun. Getting those anti-loop plays is so damn satisfying.
-
Uhh... BT doesn't affect self-unhooks, does it?
They probably used a Bottled Time or something.

It's necessary at times, and when Killer is down to one gen, or other pressure scenarios- hell, especially against obnoxious survivors, I completely understand. I find playing Killer to be stressful, and I usually go out of my way not to camp/tunnel when I know very well camping/tunneling would get more results.
There's been times I could down a survivor fresh off the hook (I run Nurse's, so alwaysthe Claudette behind a rock healing by the hook). I usually just.. don't because I know how frustrating it is to spend the entire game hooked.
Of course, that Claudette I spared is usually the one that hangs around to teabag me at the gate...
I just think it's lame at 4-5 generators.
Yeah, I only camp during EGC tbh but I can sympathize with killers.

And I haven't seen requests to nerf this guy...why?
Bubba may look powerful, but he's by far the most counterable killer in the game. That's why people like Bubba, playing as and against him.

You should be honored to be face-caped by Bubba. Our lord only selects the perfect for that task.
Bubba Christ.

Camping is a neccessary part of the game. Sucks, I know, but it's very necessary and every killer has to do it when they need to.
