So its mainly a BP grinding perk?
yes its still a great perk because it lets you know if your hook is about to be rushed and you should stick round but other than that who doesn't like bloodpoints. if you really dont feel its great then replace it with something that help you against your weak points. say you cant stand flash lights Lightborn then. say you consantly get palletted Enduring. Decisive strike messing you up then uh...

Gives me the room for deerstalker!
great example deer stalker is a greatly underrated perk if you combine it with knockout or a blindness effect you can just let those with decisive strike bleed out with no chance of escape

Hey all, so I've been having some odd experience with recommendation vs usage of perks. I have asked for a lot of tips and help and generally get very helpful results, and as expected some recommendations don't work but everyone has their own strategy and I understand that. However more often then not I get A LOT of recommendations to use the perk BBQ & Chilli. I recently went for and got the "Adept Cannibal" trophy and obviously to do that I had to use the perk and it was the first time using it considering I don't have any teachable perks yet from the shrine. I was excited to use what I assumed would be an excellent perk. However, in practice it was close to useless to me. Every time I hooked a survivor I would head straight to the revealed location of the survivor even taking a path that would cut them off when i watch what direction they're moving. By the time i get to the point I should run into the survivors, i do a quick search for anywhere they could be hiding and somehow they manage to get to the hook. I have tried using this perk in a variety of different ways and it has never helped.
Am I using it wrong? Am i suppose to see if someones aura is NOT shown and search the close proximity? Because i did that too. I dunno why so many people gush over this perk, it doesn't seem all that good.
BBQ and chili is a great perk for a different reason. yes the aura reveal isn't always useful but if no auras appear thats an excuse to stay at the hook at least it gives you some sense of location but the most important detail 100% BLOOD POINT GAINS IN ALL CATEGORIES!!!

Considering this is only ever a thing during events it would suck to be punished for lobby dodging for legitimate reason such as horrible ping or needing to pee...hmm then maybe if you leave and the killers or other survivors ping was terrible like lets say above 150 then you wouldn't be penalized but if you need to leave from outside forces well maybe just sit afk for a while or while the game loads hurry up and go i dont know i just want this fixed because i cant really play.
Killer queue times will return to normal once the event ends. This event, although cool in the artistic department, was horribly thought out and tested.
i guess but i still need like 8 more vials and farming doesn't benefit me because there idea of farming is we get nectar then skeleton key out through hatch while you sit in a corner and i just want to play normaly and if i start the game and haven't answered them then sometimes all 4 will disconnect wasting even more time. a 4 second penalty is not enough it is your 3rd offense then you should be banned for 10 minutes then 30 then 1 hour then 2 hour then 4 hour and on and on

Since the event started, I've read tons of posts about how killers are playing nicer / letting the survivors farm a bit or going a little easier on them. But besides one (1) killer who wanted to farm (which is weird enough, I remember the BBQ event for example, was full of farming rounds), I've hat zero encounters with those types... Instead, many killers I met seemed to be a lil toxic - signalizing the nonverbal "no" to let you know that you will die, nodding their head frantically, or the classic; repeadetly hitting the hooked survivor or just slugging / toying with the survivors as they please. And not one killer let me harvest some nectar in peace.
I'm not asking for easy games and I'm absolutely okay with killers wanting to play the game as intended despite the nectar, even if that means tunneling me to death. I'm just wondering why a considerable ammount of killers (way more than usual) I encounter during the event go out of their way to make the experience as unfun as possible. And also, I'm reading so many good experiences or how nice killers are being this event, but I don't get any of that love :cI'm pretty sure it's not what's happening for everyone but for me, this event just feels so different and "colder" than the BBQ event.
im right here

So all killers should suck besides the nurse?no they're are still many viable candidates but from my personal experience hillbilly is just too easy to reach high ranks and on ps4 surviving will always put you against a hillbilly not even kidding 98% hillbilly match he is too easy to play completely effectively
The problem is no one knows how to dodge the chainsaw and yet its so easy. I'm not saying this to brag or to make myself sound like the best player out there but I consistently hit rank 1 (yes its easy we all know) and its so incredibly rare I get hit with a chainsaw. There are so many simple tips to avoid it, even against "good" billy players.
1: Never run in a straight line
2: Stay away from choke points/bottle necks
3: Fake direction if the Billy is chainsawing from a distance
4: PS4 simply use 360/fake 360's
5: Don't run in predictable patterns
6: Remember if they have missed 3 or more chainsaws then with that time they wasted they could have (most likely) hit you with that mallet already! If you get hit by a chainsaw on attempt #4/5/6/etc then you have effectively been hit with a regular melee twice already.true dodging the chainsaw is easy however against a actually skilled billy it is very difficult as they will pressure you into a corridor then cut you down. but if theykept the skill requirement but brought up the floor it would balance a lot of the game.

Weederick said: Billy doesnt work with 110% movespeed, since he cant deal with loops. If you ever got looped as hag or huntress, you know what i mean (5-6 loops thanks to hitboxes), but billy has no means of countering it. If that went live, he would drop down to mid-low tier to be THE MOST loopable killer in the game by far. That wouldnt be fun, since he would just be deleted from the viable killers. The devs could rather focus on making him even more unique. Keep the strong chainsaw, but give him appropriate drawbacks. I always thought about him beeing the loudest and most aggressive of the killers. A savage. Give him global, directional sounds. Everyone should hear exactly where billy is, when he is using his chainsaw. That would balance his map control (mobility) with survivors map control (knowing where he is) and also close the gap between swf and solo survivor. As SWF can communicate where killer are, which makes them op, but against bily, you know it anyways. On top of that, double his cooldown and nerf his addons. Just my 2c, i hope they wont just nerfhammer him mindlessly (like flickremoval). Bro you should not be getting looped 6 times around anything with a 110% killer Bro not everyone is as good as you bro. Look Scott I love your streams. Best Huntress by miles. And it's cool to see you getting Spirit up to your Huntress skill. But you have to realize that most of us aren't you, Marth, Tru3, or Monto.
You are far better than 99% of the killer player base. Judging everyone by your skill isn't fair. I know you'll try to be modest about your skill but inside you know how good you are.
Dude I'm not even remotely humblebragging. You just go around corners tightly. That's it. You can't be looped 6 times around anything. It doesn't take skill at all.
I'm pretty sure Weederick was being facetious to make a point. M1 killers can be looped to a detrimental degree much easier, especially for those of us who DON'T play pc where you can more easily hug tight corners. That doesn't mean that the player should allow that to happen, they should just avoid bad loops then. I also don't think billy would work at 110%, I think his nerfs would need to come from somewhere else, because his power isn't the best tool for contestong loops in the first place. His miss/crash cooldowns could be slightly more punishing, for instance. Would make M1illy less viable, but also not ruin the core of the character.
i feel the same dont ruin his core concepts but also dont make him so esy to play witha slightly slower speed and linger time penalty for crrashing a lot of undeserving R2 illys would go backto the rank 15s they are

i thinking along the lines of shorter lunge and maybe reduced movement sped but definently higher time penalty when crashing into objects because that is not enoughI think the only thing I maybe agree with is the reduced movement speed. That would make sense considering his chainsaw is so fast. slightly slower movement speed would balance that out. but I see what you're saying.
yeah because with his movement speed right now and that lunge his ability to close gaps and deny loops is very efficient too efficient

ModernFable said:He’s probably around where most killers should be and just bring others to his level, that being said.
Hillbilly should have his speed reduced to 110%, to match other killers with movement powers.
I didn't want to be the one to say it, but those are my thoughts exactly. You can traverse the map way faster than other killers and have an unlimited instant down. 4.4 wouldn't hurt that bad.
Still, I don't really have a problem with the hillbilly anyway.
what about his time penalty for crashing its almost non existent shouldn't it be a bit longer?

your not not supposed to kill wityh your chainsaw only run your cattle hammers lunge is more than enough to take out everyone ignore the saw as a weapon and only as a sprint an billy becomes too EZ PZ GG
You're losing to M1llys, just saying. They beat you with billys skillfloor, which is quite low granted (Brief mobility). You REALLY shouldnt lose to M1llys, on pc we beat those guys easily.
His skill comes from downing survivors and if you cant do that reliably, you're not a good billy. I try to master every killer and billys flick is imo the hardest mechanical aspect in this game. You can train aim for huntress, throw andes for clown, get the timing for blinks. But that crazy sensitivity curve is unique to billy, you have to get a feel for it and if you dont play him for a few days, you'll get rusty and need to relearn it.Calling him easy is admitting you never play him.
i play ps4 and he si a bit easy to play high mobility and for attacking a long lunge with a dull
A M1lly is just an A-B tier killer. He's not S-tier unless you chop down survivors consistently.
Could be the lack of viable killers on console, but take it as an appetizer if you decide to switch to pc against real, viable killers.
i know pc definetly has more variety because theyre viable on ps4 playing nurse huntress spirit is much harder and people dont have that much patience.

If she crotches at a loop just run to a different one to gain distance and chances are she won't even know you ran due to reduced hieght. By that logic they should nerf every survivor who escapes a Billy.they should just make him harder to play with same potential just more skill required

Also the concept of "nerfing" is misused by gamers. Nerf is a reference to the Nerf brand. Making something soft or weak.
When you nerf something. You make it safe and not dangerous. Killers should be dangerous.
then buff his difficulty make him harder to play or reward those who pay with more variety its boring to play against a hilbilly every match on the off day i play survivior
Maybe you should stop playing survivor if you can't beat a Billy.

I'm guessing you mean killers should be challenging but survivors should get the easy road?Hillbilly is what EVERY killer should be. Billy should be the baseline.
If you want to see more variety the killers you face your answer should be to make them all as good as Billy. Not make Billy weaker.
That sums it up pretty nicely. Billy is probably the most viable on ps4 due to a lot of different factors, but with 13 killers and only 2 being totally viable in red ranks and you're complaining about one of them tells me your probably not that deserving of your red survivor rank.
Every killer should be stronger, I think at least 7 should be viable at red ranks. Excluding add ons too the spirit could be viable at red ranks if she wasnt so add on dependent
i dont have a red survivor rank because i only play survivors on sundays

You said you like being challenged. But then this entire thread is wanting to nerf Billy? What?
I'm guessing you mean killers should be challenging but survivors should get the easy road?
Hillbilly is what EVERY killer should be. Billy should be the baseline.
If you want to see more variety the killers you face your answer should be to make them all as good as Billy. Not make Billy weaker.
but then survivors dont have fun and i everyone should enjoy the game
What happened to liking a challenge? Lol.
Your profile name is a lie. No way you main killer.
dude of course i main killer is feeling compassionate for survivor mains because i want them to have fun as well really a crime? when i play shape or pig or trapper or anyone of the killers i only put on addons and perks that make it an enjoyable experience for all partys because i am a good person who believes everyone should have equal fun.

Also the concept of "nerfing" is misused by gamers. Nerf is a reference to the Nerf brand. Making something soft or weak. When you nerf something. You make it safe and not dangerous. Killers should be dangerous.
then buff his difficulty make him harder to play or reward those who pay with more variety its boring to play against a hilbilly every match on the off day i play survivior

shape and pig you would need to be constantly vigilante and if you slip up evil within 3 massacre with the pig trapping everyone who is downed

This game is supposed to be a horror game, if you nerf every killer that is strong hey won't be scary therefore not a horror game. Get better to counter the hillbilly and nurse rather than coming here to complain on the forumsi am not saying nerf him into the ground i am simply stating he is too easy to master and that greatly unbalances things

cool people that hack on consoles are sad because the amount of work required is ludicrousI have seen lag but believe that is a lag switch and any clown can throttle their internet no skill required. Which is why gamers with no in game skill use it.

He’s probably around where most killers should be and just bring others to his level, that being said.Hillbilly should have his speed reduced to 110%, to match other killers with movement powers.
teah his lunge makes closing the gap way too easy with that high ovement speed and combine that with noed goodbye survivors i really dont like how easy he is to win i like being challenged but the fact everyone plays hillbilly on ps4 surviving is a bore
