I don't like how noisy and loud Jane is. I don't like Laurie (the character, not people who play her) 'cause the whole concept behind her is rather selfish. Your "powers" get greater the more who die around you, essentially. I also don't like Ace 'cause he seems way too chill about the situation. His smile just unsettles me. It's hard to explain.
-
Sometimes it's before 30, sometimes it's after. If you need time before to get together your build or watch something as you wait, it's all right. c:
-
I think if we take a look at Moris, we should also take a look at keys. They're both designed to end the game early, so it wouldn't be fair to ignore the other while changing the first. Additionally to make up for the long animations, everyone's actions should be paused while they go off (maybe they'll see it from the survivor's perspective?). The yellow Mori being base-kit would be interesting, but what would your suggestion be for the yellow, green, and pink Moris after the change?
-
I'm honestly more concerned with things that affect gameplay than someone's hair being stiff.
-
Ruin really isn't that bad. If you have troubles with it, bring Small Game, a Map or Stake Out. Small Game and a Map will help you find it. Stake Out will give you greats for you goods if you have any stacks.
-
I usually do thank you t-bags or gift the killer my item (if I have one). That seems to get the message across. If a killer is kind and allows me to go through the rest of the game despite rage quits and DCs, I'll offer them a hook by running up to one and pointing, then t-bag and look at them. I'll also give them a thumbs up and thank them in the end game chat.

I would love to find out via the archives that some of the Survivors are gay. (I mean, I have a feeling Dwight, Meg, Nea and Ace are all LGBT, but thats just my own projections.)
But as for a Drag killer or making it a central point of a character? Not so much. Give us pride cosmetics though please.
Ooo, I'd love pride cosmetics. ❤️

@Madjura Someone goes down within 20 seconds, gets hooked, kills themselves on hook and survivor side is down a man within a minute into the game.
That's not a DC, but I'd consider it a rage quit. Thus, the option has a reason to be used then.
@Sairek I didn't know you could report for that.
-
I thought you were talking about killers body blocking hooks and was gonna say it really wasn't a thing anymore. Just smack them. It makes for easy down or good pressure. It really isn't a big deal and often leaves them vulnerable.
-
It's first come, first serve. You find it first, you get it. If the killer does, they get it. I've gotten plenty hatch escapes, even while not knowing where it is. The doors spawning next to each other makes it hard to open the door, especially with a timer ticking, but doors on opposite sides is hard as well and if the hatch is far from the doors, you could get it open before the killer can make it to you. If the hatch gets closed, you're less to make it out, though.
-
Better question is why survivor names aren't censored in the lobby beforehand. People say it's due to abuse, but you see the same abuse while playing as survivor. People will know what you bring (perk-wise) or they'll just straight up dodge you 'cause you were really good.
-
I agree with is opening on its own, but they're bringing in an item if they bring in a key. If we get rid of keys, we probably should do something about moris, too. They both end the game earlier after all.
-
Legion first, Wraith second. c: Haven't tried GF yet and the Freddy changes make him look like more fun, so I might give him a try.
-
It's probably pretty rare now. You have to actively be taking hits and most people don't play that way. I was able to get it off, but I literally had to chase after people to take hits to prolong their loops. Most higher ranks know where to go, though, and you don't get situations (while solo) where you can pull it off. Or, at the very least, you won't get it off most games. Protection hits are inconsistent, too. Sometimes it won't register.

I see what you are saying. I am just unsure if it would be almost easy op addon flooding. If the killer didn't have to kill to get higher rarity ones. @fluffymareep
But survivors can get OP stuff with just a perk, right? If I'm correct, their normal draw is from luck, too. You're still doing an awful lot to get all those hooks, I think. So, I think it should still count.

Why should you work for it? You wasted a perk slot for almost the entire game until the end. That should be your reward.
You waste a perk slot if you get found first with Deliverance, but it's pretty good if no one can get to you quick enough or they just leave you. There's just some perks that are wasted sometimes.
If we're going to say buff NOED, might as well talk about buffing Adrenaline, too. c: NOED doesn't need a buff. Like, at all.
-
I thought they fixed the Wake Up bug, though? It's like Audreyu said, so probably not right away. A flat out buff/debuff would leave survivors in a pickle against certain killers, so I'm guessing they're working their way towards that. I'm hoping, at least.
It doesn't help that people seem somewhat wishy-washy on what to do, too.
-
What if you could choose what add-ons to use during the match and when the match finished, you'd keep whatever you didn't use? Maybe you could pick it up by clicking on the hook (M1 for first, M2 for second, maybe?) and if you had another add-on currently, either you'd switch or it would dissolve.

@ScottJund and @miaasma yea lol like I said, I exaggerated a bit.
Even so, the painfully sweaty attempt of 90% of them to be seen as "masters of DBD" is a laugh. I mean, TrueTalent (God, even the name is cringy) tosses fancy words around ("optimal play", "momentum", "map pressure"... I know these are valid terms but excessive use of it betrays their motives), Otzdarva, who actually is a good player, but such a cocky smartass, Monto, who's at least obnoxious enough to be funny, but feels he has to read up his whole load all the time (thanks buddy, we can read, and know that stuff already anyway), and the list could go on. Just stop.
Or maybe I'm just a hater. Yeah that's probably it.
but feels he has to read up his whole load all the time
A lot of his viewers are new to the game or could join from watching. I actually joined, myself, watching a streamer play 'cause it looked like a lot of fun. Most people watch streamers/YouTubers for a sense of community or to watch how they do things to try to replicate what they do. Sometimes people watch 'cause they find it amusing or fun. People watch to mimic someone's value far less than you think. Just because someone says something's dumb doesn't mean they'll think it's dumb. If anything, they may bring it up as a way to say "I'm not the only one." All Tofu did was open a can of worms. People have had an issue with the nurse for a while now. They're just not talking about it. It's still not really worth talking about, really. Nothing's going to be done to change her. I highly doubt it. If we're talking about future balance sake, the stronger ones need to be addressed, though. Otherwise, people can just floor survivors with the top tier killers and I highly doubt killers would be against quick and easy games, so it'd be a no brainer. That is if they add measures to help the mid tier to better in higher ranks (such as longer times or extra mandatory objectives to do).
-
SB is broken due to a bug. That would be like survivor mains pretending the Legion bug awhile back was intended.
Enduring is bugged.
Legion got a rework. They now how base movement speed and still can use their power to provide pressure, quickly injure fully healed, catch up to people, and find people. With the Freddy rework, you literally don't have to wait anymore to smack people. His power was basically telling people "I'm gonna smack you!" and then attempting to smack. It's like you guys don't know what "nerf" means.
Killer add-ons work differently than survivor items. You can't just stop using your add-on mid-game. It lasts for the game's entirity. Survivors also can't hit the add-on out of your hands and the add-ons work a lot longer than survivor items. Even with that said, I think there should be ways to aquire another add-on or to keep your add-on after game.
The BP buff was in response to slower lobby times due to less survivors wanting to join a lobby just to get 10~17k while playing killer will reliably get you 17~28k. This means less people playing survivor during BP events and less playing survivor while farming BP. Depip squad happened so long ago. Maybe look to someone else? One nice thing about survivor is that there's three other survivors and you may go unnoticed. One bad thing about survivor is that it's a team game. People might farm you. You may be tunneled and killed, sandbagged. Literally had a game earlier where a survivor was going out of her way to block people so that they got hit. Another game where I second staged because the person nearest to me finished the generator and ran away. It's largely unreliably to actually survive and get points, but it's still possible to get out if the killer happens to be focusing someone down. Likewise, you can go without perks, but you take away some things you can do for yourself. Bond shows you where people are. Iron Will quiets your grunts of pain, allowing you to stealth while injured and possibly lose the killer. Playing without perks is by no means "basic" and if you really think it is, you should try playing survivor.
Survivors are getting nerfed just as much if not more. It isn't nearly as bad as it once was.
-
You can judge how "skilled" or "talented" they are, regardless of if they show both their bad and their good games. It's about how they take their loops, how successful their mind games are, how good they are with saves, etc. A lot of YouTubers are also streamers, too, and they're not the only people who have a problem with Nurse being really strong. It's obvious. When you want to stomp a team, you switch to Nurse (if you're good with her and have practice). There's a reason for that. OhTofu's video could have been done in a controlled environment to better demonstrate his point, but he's just pointing out what everyone else (should have) noticed or known. Certain things about the Nurse (mostly add-ons) are too strong.
-
Anyone who's being honest with themselves knows the nurse needs a rework or a nerf. Ideally if everyone was mid-tiered, everyone could get a buff so that they'd be A tiered. That way you were playing your favorites rather than someone you had to to be competitive.

This would be the day I quit Dead by Daylight. Please stop forcing this agenda into literally every single piece of media in the known universe. I do not want this, and the vast majority of players wouldn't either. It's entirely out of place.
In terms of the sexuality suggestion, it doesn't matter. This is a game about trying to survive a psychopathic killer or trying to murder survivors before they escape. It's not IMVU. One of the characters we have now could be gay, we'll just never know it - because it's not relevant.
If you want us to be widely accepted, stop making it a huge deal and cramming it down people's necks. Yes, I'm gay too.
I doubt a vast majority of players would care if a character's bio or lore (with the upcoming archives) mentions them having a boy/girlfriend or having a same sex friend they fancy. I don't think requesting for an idea you think is cool is the same as "cramming" it down people's throats. I don't really even think this is coming from any sort of "agenda," but from someone wanting to see themselves in their favorite game. Some of them already seem kinda gay as it is.
@Acesthetiic said:
No one should be identified as anything in terms of sexuality. Gives players to be creative of what they think their favorite characters are.
I think people will still imagine their favorite characters to be a certain way, even if they're confirmed gay, bi or straight, though I understand where you're coming from since they're basically just skins and people often see themselves in the characters they choose.

See I want to reward the actual killers. Not the farm everyone twice essentially. Like if you don't kill or have disconnects (because that is super uncommon ya know) I don't think you really deserve higher tier addons. I am just looking to make a balanced mechanic since it is a bloodcow to get addons for a killer. While survivors have the ability to keep theirs and gain new ones every trial.
I wasn't talking about farming. Sometimes you'll do decently well during a match, but you fail to kill everyone. I think you should be rewarded for putting up a good show for the entity or whatever. Values can be adjusted so that you only need to get 3 kills worth of hooks to get the full amount. Just thinking it rewards a more natural sort of play style where you don't have to go out of your way to make sure you kill everyone.
If we compare it to survivors, theirs is based off of luck. We could have luck influence what killers are able to get, even.
-
My typical build is Bond, Iron Will, WoO/DH, DS. When I'm doing saves for dailies, it's BT, We'll Make it, WGLF, and Bond. Recently I've been playing around with the character's unique perks, though.

Yeah... Maybe I should get a mouse, but not right now, since not the age where I can drop in and buy a mouse for myself. XP
See if your parents can get you a mouse. You could probably say it'll help with homework lol. xD Otherwise if you can hook up a controller, you can use a controller, too. You don't want to be without turning potential in this sort of game.
-
Ideally, I think all killers should be mid-tier and then buffed so that they could all be A tier. So, the really strong ones need adjustments to make them like everyone else and the really weak ones need adjustments to make them like everyone else. It's supposed to be just different types of game styles to create variation, I would think.
-
Someone could be obsessed with someone without being in love or even having them be their type, but that could be an interesting idea for perk types. Perhaps they could have some details in the character's lore about what sexuality they are. c: Like it mentions their boy/girlfriend. It'd be cool.
-
If you're SWF, have two members bring in BT. You lose points if you don't save people and if you can. With how the pipping system is sit up, everyone is punished if the killer decides to camp and you decide to punish that by staying on gens. You can also have 1~2 bring in DS, too, in case he downs and tries to pick up whoever was last hooked.
Ideally, the person with BT will save the hooked before they enter stage 2 (two BT just in case the BT person ends up on the hook). Then you would save the person again before they die. It wastes a lot of time.
-
Legion isn't as bad as people are making them out to be.
-
I like the idea, Boss! c: It would completely counter a couple of killer perks, though, so I'm not sure about that. They could always have it reduce the % instead of just getting rid of it (top % would be 100), then sloppy could work like strider with iron will.

I'll watch YouTube, read something, or make food if I'm hungry.

Well if you want to say game will be dead with out survivors i will like you to think that if the game lost 400 survivors 100 killers will wait more but if 400 killers stop playing then 1600 survivors have to wait more.
Weren't you the one who said it first? It isn't "like me" in that case, but you just cubed yourself. The game takes two teams, whether you want to acknowledge it or not. That means both sides need to be happy, ideally. Survivors getting more BP so that they can rival killers with earnings won't hurt killers. I don't know why some people are so opposed to things that will benefit the opposing team. Both sides should be given the chance to earn a lot of BP and give the chance to have fun. This us against them mentality doesn't help. One side might have four, but you're only one unit in that four.
I also hate to break it to you, but a lot of people don't play just killer/survivor. They have different things to offer. Different play types (team versus solo).

@Fluffymareep ah, I've encountered that too. It is a shame that happens. I would dc from that game, even though I shouldn't have to. Some people are in their feelings have bad games and take it out on the next group. Despite this game being for a mature audience we do have a lot of teens and pre-teens playing this game. You'll get the childlike mentality even now and again. I've also encountered trolls as survivors too, difference being griefing is easier to prove on a fellow survivor. If the killer is truly griefing survivors, I'd report him too. Good luck with future games.
@feechima You're right, some people could decide to mess with people in reaction to a couple of bad games. It isn't a mature response, but there's quite a few children on the game, I'm sure.

most of the times. if the survivors were focusing on repairing generators (A.K.A. Genrushing). the killer will most likely tunnel a survivor or two just to do his objective faster. and that's okay. and there's no problem with it at all.
but when a killer starts camping and tunneling right off the hook or just simply facecamp the survivor for the entire 3 minutes. he's/she's just being an a**hole.
same goes to survivors if they genrushed and teabagged the killer or kept spamming windows.
not to mention that spam clicking the flashlight near the killer sometimes seem to work as a bait for the killer to chase a specific survivor.
.
as a solo survivor. you must expect that a lot of survivors will just ignore you and keep repairing the generators and focus on escaping alone.
while in a swf group. the survivors doesn't like leaving while one of their friends is dying. so they'll attempt to save most of the times. even in the dangerous situations.
.
as a killer. you'll basically control the game. you're able to give each survivor every bit of " fun " and let them enjoy their match. or just be an #########. and which is something that will probably be a big problem when they rework the ranking system. because if they added rewards for ranking up. a lot of people will take the rank in a more serious way and play more competitive. this would increase the amount of overpowered/broken things you'll see in the game ( looking at you iridescent head huntress with eboni mori ).
for me. the best way i can think of that can help fixing this issue a lot. is by waiting for now. because it doesn't happen every match. and most of the people doesn't care about ranking
and once the ranking system rework comes. the player should be able to choose if he want to play casual or competitive with a big fat punishment for rage quitting.
some people who are reading this comment are probably saying now " there of course will be a lot of toxic people who just want to ruin the experience in casual ". so let me tell you something really quick. going tryhard would be a big waste of items, add-ons and offerings for both sides. and i don't think i need to mention the reasons. and if by any chance.
@Heroiq I can understand the reactionary sort of camping/tunneling. It's just the them being toxic and trolly sort that I don't understand. It wasn't around as much in the past, so I'm not sure if it's a testament to the game's health or who's deciding to stay around.
I understand you can expect some people to be selfish and not want to go for the save, but people in the higher ranks (if given the information) possibly would. There would be a higher percentage that would, at least, I would think. You don't even have to have Kindred level detail. Like if the survivor can see the killer, others can. Otherwise they can't. I don't think seeing auras while the person is on hook would hurt that much, either. It's the killer aura reading that's the strong park of that perk.
Your point is true. I hope if they do make ranking matter, they can introduce a casual mode for people who don't feel like dealing with it at the moment or have a tiered mode where people are facing what they have (so green against green, purple against purple, and so on). I don't think the people who are trying to ruin people's games are doing so to rank up, though, and possibly more of a way of protest? They don't usually stick around to talk.
I think there should be a punishment for casual, too. Your first response shouldn't be rage quitting in a sticky situation.
Well, I had someone slug me on the ground and hit me back down every time someone got me up. I doubt they were doing that to rank up. I don't think all (even most) bad behaviors are linked to ranking up.

I don't particularly like this idea myself. @fluffymareep as many survivors dc or suicide which prevents hook states. At least with kills your effort will be worth something. Although, since the tokens are already based on hooks. The kill equivalent would be alright.
Well, a DC doesn't count for a death, anyway. What they need to do is have harsher penalties towards DCing to help that a bit. What I worry with kills is that it wouldn't count if you happened to kill no one, but two hooked everyone. You should be rewarded for that all the same.
-
The person who moved it may have been thinking you were making add-ons? Something like this should have been fine in wishlist or even balance, I think.
-
Instead, we could make it off of hooks instead of kills. So brown: 3, yellow: 6, green: 9, purple: 12. I'm guessing alters/black chests will be in the base game, so we could have a perk like Ace in the Hole to give another add-on and up the rates for during game. I really like this idea~

The reason is killer doesn't have a good perk that works for everyone and you need to choose the more optimal.
No, the reason it doesn't appear is because WGLF does nothing to help you and you can't reliably get your stacks up without possibly killing your team. In a normal game, you'll get about 2 or even 1 and that's if the killer isn't camping. If they decide to camp, you don't get stacks unless you have BT or can manage a hit. If they're camping, they'll only likely hook 1~2 people, too. As killer, you can reliably get around 3~4 and it's actually useful outside of BP bonus.

If bloodpoints are more evenly distributed, where is the motivation for playing the more difficult, more stressful role of killer?
Without killers the game is dead.
Without survivors, the game is dead.
Them getting less points mean it makes less sense to play as survivor during events or while getting points for new killers. Also survivor can be quite stressful if your team is full of potatoes. c: Or don't like team games with strangers.
-
It may be a down the road thing. I think they may be focusing on Freddy rn.

I think it's fine where it currently is. It'll help you learn where the vaults/pallets are. You should be able to remember (or learn to remember) where your resources are based on the aura.

How I use Legion:
- Free first hit
- Locate people (if you return to hook and see the injured person, you can hit them to find the Blendette crawling away)
- Get somewhere fast (not as fast as before, but still zooom)

If the killer is coming my way spine-chill picks it up also works for countering nurses calling (since every killer wants to look directly at the auras) also I don't care what other survivors are doing 9/10 they will swarm the hook better for me to stay on my gen if the injured stops running ill run over give the butt rubs then back to a safe gen it is simple
Okay, but your perk build doesn't change that you have to rely on your team and the killer playing nicely to have a good/"easy" experience and that was your initial argument that was kind of related to what I was talking about. I'm trying to explain how it can be difficult and you're telling me what build you use. xD My perks fit my playstyle and you shouldn't stick to a determined set since it can make you complacent and can make you bored.
-
What killers do you usually play? I would say just play for fun and don't play hard. Meme around or give yourself goals. If you can, always hit the person saving so that you may down them and get a new hook. Hook swarming isn't a good play by any means unless the killer is waiting patiently to try to down the hooked person again. Most of the time it's SWF teams that do that btw. You could also try playing survivor, too, to get a different game mode.

I'm not talking about the killer being annoyed or the killer seeing no one doing gens and deciding to stay nearby while trying to catch them out. I'm talking about killers whose sole purpose is to ruin someone's game and they express that in their profiles and everything. People who find people who've done nothing to them and face camp them because it's Friday or you're playing a Dwight. Being toxic just cause they feel like it. They had ruin up and no gens done. They had no reason to do this. This didn't happen so much in the past and I think it reflects the health of the game and the type of people staying.

My perk build (Empathy, lightweight, sprintburst, and spinechill) the killer never sees me unless i want them to and i have the perfect capability to assist my teams or sit on a gen while everyone is running for pallet after pallet
I'm not running any exhaust or healing perks atm, but I started putting on DS again. I really don't mind dying. As long as I get enough points, I'm happy. I just don't like this sort of behavior. Bond still works better imo since you can see what healthy people are doing. For instance, you can see if someone else is heading for the save or if (like I said) someone is bringing the killer to you while healthy. You can find someone to heal you, too, if you'd like. I usually run Iron Will, though, in the cases no one wants to. Helps with sneaking away.

I love how everyone talks about survivor being harder than a killer, it's not, at all. You need to know what you are doing, bring empathy you will have knowledge of the killer's location 9/10. Avoid being the first down and you're set entire game
Survivor can be hard or vexing because you're depending on a team and the killer not camping or tunneling. Survivor is team play (solo with strangers while lacking communication), while Killer is solo play. You don't have to hope the other survivors aren't picking their nose in the corner while you're being chased and don't have to worry about your them going down super quick or people farming each other. I've literally had games where I saved nearly everyone and died on first hook 'cause two people were on gens and one person was being chased. It has nothing to do with being the first one down and more to do with hoping the other survivors will be good enough to save you. It can be annoying to run into annoying survivors, but solos have to deal with annoying SWF who don't feel like saving the random (good or at all) AND killers who have it out for you 'cause you decided to play survivor. Bond is better btw. One-shots counter Empathy's sight and a lot of time people are running the killer for a bit before they get hit. If they accidentally sandbag you while you're on a gen, you're out positioned and the killer will often switch to you.
