@AJStyIez you have 4 posts lmfao

@AChaoticKiller Yeah If the animations were continued to be improved I'm fine with forcing survivors to learn to play better, but I also think that the other side to the problem is killer auto aim and aim dressing. If we could get it to a point where we could aim freely it would be nice but it might be too much we'd have to test extensively. But I would love to diversify survivor gameplay and add more depth and in game mechanics rather than telling people how to spin juke consistently. The truth is, you can't.

Just because something was not intended when the game wasn't created doesn't mean it is a gimmick. Let's not forget that the killer mindgaming the red light or things like Blight 180 turn are also not intentional, but skilled players still do it.
Jukes and spins in fact add more depth to survivor gameplay than what you are giving it for. Good players make use of spins and fakes so they don't have to waste strong pallets like Shack and Jungle Gyms.
I agree with you on the last point. I'd actually not mind 360s being removed if the devs did something to add diversity to survivor gameplay. But on the last Q&A they said they don't have plans for that, so I honestly don't think it's a good idea to remove them right now.
That's a valid and fair point I agree with you on! I love compromise. But yeah survivor needs at least half the depth of killer gameplay at least. But Killer right now just is boring because the matchmaking is awful.

First, it's not an exploit. If it was, they'd have patched it out.
Second those animations were in no way an improvement.
360's are not an intended game mechanic. Some are but most could have be improved upon.
-
@thrawn3054 I take it you like exploitable and twitchy movement and can't stand change and improvements to the fidelity of the game?
-
@DemonDaddy said:
This change has reverted bad survivors back to a really bad tactic. Now instead of learning a productive method against killers it's just a bunch of people dropping instantly. The animations might not have looked great but it was a good change for improvement of skill.
THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU 3000! Oh my god. Finally, you get it.
-
@jdcabral Ok and? People lost their mind because they had to relearn the feel for the game, no one likes change. I agree with you that survivor gameplay is dull. But I think that's because there is little to no depth or mechanics for survivor and the more experienced players. But 360's is not an intended in-game mechanic or feature. It's just an exploit from horrendous and wonky movement. If more survivors learned how to be efficient and if matchmaking were ideally good then solo queue would so much fun. But I see on here that instead of accepting change they complained as if that their only option of surviving was to spin their mouse or camera wheel was taken away, rather than learning to use a pallet. The movement can be improved upon, but because so many people are so appalled to change, it's like the initial changes are being reverted. Which means all that time and resources that were used are wasted when they could have been put towards something else, like, adding more and better in-game mechanics and depth for survivor maybe?
-
@chadbeastofprey ................... it doesn't matter if killers are oppressive or not? What? Yeah, ok. You want to talk about about bright but I'll pass on whatever you're smoking.
-
@TattooJake Hot take I didn't get easier hits because movements were jank, i got easier hits because of Dsync. You quote the post but i still think you didn't read it! I play survivor too it was awful! But it would be nice for survivors to learn to use pallets rather than complaining about not being able to flick their mouse in a spinny circle again! are you happy you can flick your mouse in the spinny circle again and not direct focus on accepting change? KEKW 🤣
-
@panernaners Right!
-
@danielmaster87 thank you, someone with some truth in this cold, cruel world. lmfao 😂😂
-
@chadbeastofprey the killers you listed with maybe the exception of huntress are somewhat oppressive killers, those are their problems. Most people DC against them within the first 2 minutes. You forgot freddy as well. Anybody who plays killer who claims to like the original survivor movement before the changes doesn't play killer (Dsync not included). Nice try though.
-
@Mert_MK yeah it is easy to counter but is it wrong to ask for survivor movement to not be twitchy, exploitable and unnatural ?
-
@OniWantsUrLocation Right. But people are clamoring and rejoicing to bring back awful twitchy survivor movement and exploits. 360's are counter-able, yes. Should they be a skill or tactic for survivors to use, no. The matchmaking is already awful, I don't remember the last time a survivor ran a jungle gym or pallet with me. They either try to juke out in the open rather to running to a safe pallet or they DC on hook because they got caught immediately. These are players who bring prestige skins too, so although prestige is not a symbol of skill or time investment, they should have some idea how to play survivor.
-
@Mert_MK You obviously didn't read my post. I clearly said Dsync was awful. I'm talking about all of the whiners who forced the devs to revert any changes because your ability to flick your mouse in a circle that you spent so much precious time learning to do was taken away forcing you to learn how to actually play pallets.
-
@Jarol i know im not alone, but together we can flourish this evil!
-
Look at all of you. #NOTMYUI REEEEEEEEEEEEE
-
@MrPeterPFL Someone yacked? absolutely absurd. People hate change and hate that they have to learn new things.
-
@Epsydra thank you for understanding. Everyone has lost their mind. I was losing my mind over the twins update rather than this.

Hate on me or @ me if you want. But jesus the update hadn't even been out one day and this forum acts like the sky is falling. Saying awful things about the devs and no constructive feedback. I like the update, the HUD is fine to me and i got adjusted to it, and the movement is fresh needs to be improved on i want more animations and there's no more 360 juking cheese. The only problem i have is the hitboxes are messed up entirely everything else is fine to me. I think a lot of you are upset that your muscle memory is being changed and you have to relearn new things. But all of you are so hellish and over reacted hard. I'm not saying you can't criticize the devs, you can. THEY TAKE A LOT OF IT TRUST ME. But damn all the negativity is so harsh, ridiculous, and almost uncalled for. I'm just happy the devs at least ATTEMPTED to TRY SOMETHING NEW. The game gets so boring, New Killer, New Survivor, New Perks that no one uses because everyone runs the same damn perks. I would kill for some new gameplay depth, new mechanics, something and that's kind of what we got. Yes there's bugs, it's Dead By Daylight what did you expect. But they always try to stay on top of it. But god forbid if the devs try to do something different or new and test things with the entire player base. Because according to you they don't have vision, at least the vision that you want.
DISCLAIMER: I understand that I am in the minority of the player base that really likes the update. But all I wanted was something fresh and new, and I DON'T MEAN cosmetics, I mean gameplay. I don't want the devs feeling terrible and scared from taking risks and trying new things because everyone yells "this is trash" and did not even update their game file. Ratio me if you want. But some of you have to get a grip and stop acting like Popeyes ran out of Chicken Sandwiches for christ sakes.
ALSO: some of the pallets on The Game rework might need to be looked at they look a little too spicy.

It's getting buffed in next update: time reduced for heal down to 20 seconds from 30 seconds.

Friday the 13th, Battlefront 2, GTA Online, Red Dead Online and NBA 2K.
For single player I'd say either fallout or Red Dead Redemption 2.
-
I've been really liking this build.
Everyone Escapes Death:
Built To Last
Soul Guard
Unbreakable
Desperate Measures
Bring a purple med kit, or any med kit for that matter and you will be incredibly strong. This build is nuts and it has turned the tide of all if not most of my matches. It does tilt killers but that is not the point, this is a meta build that no one is talking about. Killers have to slug and apply pressure and this almost takes that pressure and throws it at the killer. You have more med kit heals (built to last). you can take hits when recovered because you will get slugged (soul guard + unbreakable), and you heal and unhook faster for everyone that is injured (desperate measures). It counters NOED, it counters any hex really, it counters thanataphobia. you name it. I love running this build.
-
I guess because of the quality of demo's add ons, the base kit is very nice though.
-
I would love a very rare, or ultra rare add on that turns RBT's into Shotgun Collars. But I agree pig needs love she's my favorite.
-
I'm going to say Original Killer, either a Witch or a Banshee. I am hyped though!

oooo i might have to try this!! I was doing Myers with: Hex: third seal, M&A, Hex: haunted Ground, and BBQ.
For Freddy I just did a meme match with the "pill bottle" add on: M&A, Hex: Ruin, BBQ, and Brutal Strength.
would love to hear some good one's for Pig that are similar to the saw movies. Can't forget about he Saw movies.

Anyone have any spooky, movie inspired killer builds to run tonight for Halloween? Say for example you had to do freddy, michael, ghostface or leatherface builds inspired by their respective movies, what would they look like?
I know a lot of people will be doing Scratched Mirror Michaels tonight which will be great but any other suggestions? Feel free to open them up! Also Happy Halloween!
ALSO: I forgot, this post isn't limited to just licensed characters, originals too :)

I'm sorry to hear that but I understand completely :((

I would love to see Alien, it would be perfect. Or A stephen king chapter around IT or The Shining. I also just watched Grave Encounters last night and think that would be an awesome addition to DBD. The Conjuring, The Nun, Insidious, you name it I want it!

Wait, isn't the game already done? What're they delaying it for?
Apparently even though the game went gold and is ready, they said the reason they need more time is for game testing for bugs and stuff across all 9 different versions of the game: Xbox one/s, Xbox series x/s, PS4/Pro, PS5, PC, Stadia... so yeah.
Don't forget the versions coming out for Switch, Wii U, Atari, Mobile, Amazon Alexa, The Refrigerator, Gameboy, sega genesis, dreamcast, Nintendo DS annnnnnnd The Ouya.

UPDATE: On the 20th attempt, I got my Dwightcrow charm. However personally I do not support this method of getting a timed exclusive based on the difficulty, but I am stating to believe that after a day or so the initial wave will die down and people's chances will hopefully be higher. I am still nervous for the Jack Lantern Trapper Charm, that might possibly be a disaster still. But on the record I do not support this method still for the disadvantage it puts to console players. At the least the devs are aware of this and the lackluster event with trying to compensate with login rewards. thank you for that. Please continue to let me know your issues with dwightcrow or the other charm, the more awareness we bring to this matter the more expedient solution will arrive.

The DwightCrow code giveaway is a TERRIBLE idea. I just had a streamer list 5 codes (minus the last two characters of each code) and then they posted the last two characters of each code all at once. I punched it in within less then a second and was... to late? How are console people going to do this if I can't do it on PC in under a second? The way BHVR is going about this is so archaic.
I'm personally boycotting all DBD creator content until the event is over because of how mismanaged this is. BHVR, you can't buy my unlimited attention by dangling a silly little trinket over my head. It's extremely insulting to your customers/community when you treat us like this.
Update: I'm 0 for 19. We'll see, but this is a terrible idea, they need better rewards for play time. Or put charms in the store, but to be at the mercy of a 30+ figure code on a stream that might be delayed... no

Paulie ester helps out console players with the codes when he does giveaways, join his stream and hope that he gives a few codes
I was on that stream of Paulie Ester's, no luck. That's the point of what i'm saying, even if some codes are cut off to help out you're still getting screwed on console. I've tried 15 times now. people have even posted codes in chat to copy/paste in store. it's bad. If they wanted to do giveaways that incentivize you tuning into a fog whisperer stream they should've did twitch drop boxes for the creators and if they wanted to give away free stuff in general it should've been a log in reward.

No they shouldn't have to. I just know that they can be used for typing and that it might would help. Most people have an old keyboard laying around these days.
UPDATE: I've tried 12 times now and i've even gone as far as downloading the playstation keyboard app and still NOTHING. This is great.

This is what it should have been or have 1 code work for 30 mins time for code starts when it is redeemed for the first time.
Op
You can hook up a usb keyboard to your ps4 and that might help.
No one on console should own a keyboard just to redeem codes as fast as pc players. But i agree they should have made codes active for a limited time.

@Lemont4rt said:
I think it would be nice and easier if they did the drops on twitch instead so it’s not so hard on the fog whisperers and console players
Good idea but this is just bad console players are getting totally screwed and i promise you some of these codes don't even work when i redeem the second they're revealed. It just says invalid.
-
Yeah this has happened to me twice in two different games in the past hour. One on Ironworks the other on Gas Heaven. It's the Hill's definitely. I would get unstuck if the killer hit me and picked me up. I'm also on PS4.
