It gives you an advantage and a disadvantage, you talking with your friends is a distraction from the game, the advantage is the information you’re given.
your disadvantage isn't bug enough to cancel out hard countering everything the killer has, location, totems spawns, trap placement, cooldowns, etc.

lmfao good one,I really laughed hard at it because its so true,no one wants to play a hard unfun and frustrating killer no matter how good she can be in the end.
Its so hypocritical its funny. They want all kinds of buffs and 2nd chance perks and chances to escape but for killer you have to be perfect the entire game sweating your ass off just to have a chance any mistake should be heavily punished.

“just stating the facts, it's your choice to believe it”
Actually, an opinion would be someone like you or me thinking swf is or isn’t balanced, a fact would be something like: swf let’s you play with friends so your post so your post is an opinion.
“I think most of the problems in this game go back to SWFs. Solo and killer experiences will improve if they just nerf SWF groups. Every part of the game has some sort of downside gameplay wise, but not SWFs. They have all of the same powers except they have voice coms to almost guarantee a win. They already have all the tools to tell whoever is part of a SWF group, why is it taking this long for a change about them?”
Solo survivors would be punished if swf was nerfed, if you penalize swf in any way, solo survivors would feel it because their teammates in a swf would be penalized. I wish voice comms almost guaranteed a win, I’d be winning so many of my matches, but in all reality, they don’t guarantee wins. They undoubtedly help but you as a killer can still beat swf.
Penalizing swf hurts solo, telling killers who is in a swf encourages lobby dodging and they can’t really remove voice communication.
“I don't have a problem with friends playing with eachother, unless it hurts a game drastically for everyone else. Killers have downsides, solos have downsides, why not SWFs how inherently have a huge advantage that can't always be countered. SWFs can also easily sandbag solos, ruining the game experience.”
Anybody can sandbag other players, it isn’t just a swf thing. Swf does actually have a disadvantage and the disadvantage is playing with friends itself, if we’re being honest, most of us just wanna talk to friends when we’re in a swf and our friends are a distraction from the game.
In my opinion, swf is fine.
Yes Because it benefits you with an unfair advantage. But in reality its not fine.

@JayDoesGames said:
Why should people be punished for playing wth friends? That's a ridiclous idea!
Because killers get punished going against comms and solos get punished because they get left out of the loop and are often made into sacrificial lambs by the swf
-
The devs arent going to touch cheat with friends on comms. Ive been told by the higher ups not to call it cheating but screw it if im banned so be it ill go out telling the truth. Getting on comms and calling everything out is unbalanced at best and cheating at worst. The devs cant afford to piss off the entitled ones and survivors know thats why they always threaten to quit when swf gets called out. Survivors have the devs by the balls because for every 1 killer theres 4 survivors. More survivors means more money earned than from killer thats why killers fun doesn't matter and killers will always get the short end of the stick.

This is why I will keep bumping this thread until nurse gets some love too.
Oh they will be around to tell you that shes still the best killer if you put 5 years of non stop practice to master her and play completely perfect all game long.
-
no to the mori change.
-
why not just give survivors 100% uptime sb then? My god the entitlement has no end with these people.
-
@Dzeikor said:
Yeah nurse needs some love now,she has been abandoned by most of the playerbase,hope not by BHVR as well.I see more Bubas than nurses which is something.
Thats what the devs wanted they had to please the entitled ones and they did. Mark my words freddy huntress oni doctor and billy are next.
-
lol good luck with that. The entitled ones will pull out their ultimate trump card and threaten to quit the game when any if their toys get targeted.
-
@Rattman said:
Yeah, why tho? Why only 3 minutes?Those tactical disconnects should be punished harder, like 10 minutes from the first dc. Damn survs...
More like one hour for the first tactical dc. Its time survivors finally get punished for all the bs and exploits they do. Its bad enough he admits to communicating on comms like a cheat then he dcs to give hatch enough is enough.
-
Not no but hell no. No more weak survivor approved killer addons.
-
Just remove her so the entitled ones can have their easy escapes their so desperate for.
-
Just remove all killers powers perjs and addons so survivors can have their and stop crying
-
yea because selfish entitled survivors cried enough because heaven forbid they have a hard game. Just another case of a good killer getting ruined for survivors fun because killers fun doesn't matter.

If you must change it..I had an idea..reduce her hatchets to 3 base but when she hits a survivor they receive mangled till healed, exhaustion for about say 20 seconds, and hindered for 20 seconds..then..her final hatchet only becomes a one shotting axe..makes the addon cooler and since you only get one chance to insta down it could lead to neat plays
Aka easier survivor games yea no thanks
-
Im tired of survivors running op busted ds bt adrenaline dh nerf now
-
Can someone please tell me why survivors expect free safe unhooks? If a killer doesn't find any survivors after making a patrol they are going back to the hook and if they see someone running to unhook guess what they are going to the hook. Do you really think that killers should go hide in a coner and what for you to be unhooked healed and for you to jump on a gen before they can play again? Your not entitled to safe unhooks.

I'm not talking about those other things, I'm talking about moris.
And you're arguing in extraordinarily bad faith, so we're done here. I feel like I'm arguing with a 15-year-old or something.
Because Im not blindly agreeing with you that seems to be a survivor tactic. Propose an undeserved oneside nerf, come up with a weak argument to try to justify the nerf, completely disregard any argument against your points, then insult the other side accuse them of not trying to have a conversation because they dont agree and ignore them.
-
OoO on comms is cheating i dont if i get banned for saying it. Comms are already unfair but combined with OoO is just ridiculous.

they will call you a camper when they hook bomb before you can even finish the kooking animation.

I love when I try to justify my points and ideas with clear explanations in the interest of analysis and discussion, and it is met with the forum comment equivalent of a wet fart.
OK, I'll bite.
Why would it be too weak and/or useless? Please take into consideration the use cases that I laid out in my previous post. I also assume we are not arguing from the same perspective, as I believe there is a pretty pernicious gameplay problem with moris, which I also laid out in my previous post. I assume you disagree. I would like to hear your opinion on this too.
Ok Lets make a deal you can cripple eb mori but ds bt unbreakable adrenaline dh get hard nerfs and keys

I honestly think he's one of the cheapest strong killers to play. Very little skill required and consistently good results. At the very least spirit requires you to actually put more effort in than "haha you have to drop the pallet now :)". I find him very tedious to play against and just generally unengaging.
Wheres The skill in ds bt adrenaline unbreakable etc.

Fair enough for the yellow mori, I suppose.
Moris (along with keys) move the goalposts in a way that no other build options do. They effectively eliminate anywhere between 1 to 4 survivor life states. A red mori is the numerical equivalent of telling the killer that the survivors only have to do 3 gens + the exit gate. Changing them to be usable only on survivors who have hit the struggle phase would still give the killer a tactical advantage, in that it would eliminate the need for travel time, and it would allow them to avoid Decisive Strike and flashlight saves, all while still ensuring that the game plays out in a relatively normal manner.
Still To weak and would be useless so no.

You spawned in the map so thats camping and tunneling to them.

O-o the cypress already does(Last survivor is auto death hook) so why did you include it?
Secondly mori for death hooks makes the moris useless so can this idea for them please die as it will never work and make them a junk item.
It Will never die because survivors are selfish and entitled. They will defend anything thats strong and or unfair they have to the death but demand nerfs for anything strong killer has.
-
@OtakuBurrito said:
Use only when survivor is on death hook and you basically make it to the hook. It's fair and it gives them a chance to use DS/Boil Over/get saved by a flashlight if they have it. That way when we get mori'd it feels actually earned and not cheap asf. Honestly if BHVR changed it to where it only worked when a survivor who would be instantly sacrificed on hook can be mori'd instead I'm cool with it.
No Thats wsy to weak

@RavCav_ said:
Moris give survivors less time and opportunities to survive games. I don't think they are fair at all really. They are just a quick flashy way to end games to me.
To you but that's not their function your opinion doesn't override what they are ment for.
-
@Joelwino said:
The entire purpose of moris was to implement a cool killing animation for each killer into the game. The purpose of moris was not to give you an advantage. Now that we have perks like Rancor and Devour Hope, I don't see a purpose for moris in the game. And if we delete moris, then killer rank will be more accurate since some killers won't be boosted by overpowered offerings. Moris are annoying, because they unfairly rob you of your chances to escape. There are lots of times I would've escaped a trial if not for a killer's Ebony Mori. If Mori offerings were to stay in the game, then they should only let you kill people on death hook to keep the imbalance to a minimum.
That would make them worthless and you ate not entitled to escape or talk about killer ranks when survivors live off of comms to boost themselves into higher ranks.

1. Swf on comms is imo not an unfair advantage
2. I just dont like talking to someone on comms, I just want teammates that dont self care instead of unhooking me
How is it not unfair youre calling out the killers exact location at all times calling out totem locations calling out cooldowns calling out trap locations calling out pallett drops. Thats not fair and it most definitely is an advantage especially since dbd wasn't designed to be played like that.
-
lol comms is the only reason people play swf because they want the unfair advantage.

And why we have to see their names?
Because they had DS? LOL.
Or because you slugged for the 4k and one guy Dc'd? This happens every day, every hour.
Please don't try to deflect wether he had names or not dcing is still trash system abuse survivors do because they are selfish and entitled
-
@Customapple0 said:
IMO should be a GIVE UP prompt when you have been slugged for 30s. Being slugged isn’t really at all fun for survivor.

If survivors are praising a killer perk its trash.
-
So you want to shun pc players into their own little island when your platforms are the onrs that abuse comms the most.
-
Guys just stop you will get anywhere. Survivors are very selfish and entitled. They will shame you for trying to get a 4k but think they should always escape or at least have 20 chances to escape. Look how they are acting in this post telling you that you dont deserve the 4k you earned and shaming you for wanting it while defending an exploit to get an escape.

As far as OoO I rarely see as red rank survivor or midrank killer. It's been months since I've seen one, and pretty sure was Laurie going for Adept, so to me it's not a perk worth worrying about. Maybe it's just not popular on PS4? I don't think banning it would be a good solution or would be something Devs go for (honestly I think banning any perk would not be a route the Devs would take). I would say it makes sense to adjust it for killers in stealth - Kindred when Ghostface is in stealth you cannot see him, I would think that should apply to any aura reading perk.
Letting a killer know there is a SWF basically guarantees an ebony mori with tunneling off first hook or dodging matches, probably more the dodging. Killers won't get better from dodging a possible coordinated SWF. Just as survivors won't get better dodging certain killers. If allowing people to start dodging matches because SWF the survivors will insist they know what killer they are going against so they have opportunity to dodge as well. That just leads to bad wait times, or even bad matchmaking when a player that isn't the right rank just gets shoved in to fill the dodging players spot - so don't think Devs would go with that.
As far as Comms - that is the whole point of playing a game with friends, to chat with them while you play. Most are just talking about BS not taking it seriously, if you ban Comms you'd just have them move onto a game where they can chat. That's not something the Devs would go for.
Unless you are asking every single survivor after the match if they were SWF and what type you can't be sure if it was SWF with Comms or just solo survivors that clicked from experience playing the game. I trust the Devs when they say there is no significant difference between SWF and Solo, makes me believe there's not only alot of Solo doing better than people think but also alot of SWF doing worse than people think. Would not be surprised if people assume those good Solo players were SWF. It also points to Comms not being the problem if Solo is able to keep up with SWF. It's why I don't think giving killers advantages and survivors disadvantages with SWF would be a good move. Unless there's actual proof that majority of your bad matches are due to SWF you can't put in nerfs specifically against them.
I think once the new matchmaking is set up and when Cross play comes in it will change the type of survivors you go up against, especially between pc and console. I think alot of people are higher rank than they should be so hopefully new matchmaking will put killers with survivors(solo or swf) they are more evenly matched with making the game less frustrating.
I get you're frustrated but I don't think you're salty killer main or whatever. Unfortunately if you're not "grrr nerf survivor/buff killer" or "grrr nerf killer/buff survivor" you end out getting crap from both sides instead of just one or the other. 😂
But Basically what you're saying is survivors wont like it and quit so screw killers. Thats not fair why should killers have to suffer for your fun. And more than just a small minority are calling everything out on comms.
-
No survivors please stop begging to make the gsme easier for you its not supposed to be easy.

Just do the gens if they camp. Also we don't need anything to make gens go faster when they already go to fast. It's not fun or engaging but we shouldn't be punishing players for doing their objective a certain way just because we don't like it if its not a balance issue. Instead we should give the killers a reason not to camp that's actually an attractive option.
There's a lot of changes that can happen on both sides to make camping less of a pain than it is now for everyone involved.
there is a post begging to nerf bbq chili. Do you really think they would allow anything that would benefit killers even if it help to stop camping? Because I dont.
-
@MrPenguin said:
We don't need old ruin back, we need changes to the game that address the reasons WHY it ruin was used so much to begin with, despite its many flaws.
Perks are not a solution to fundamental balance issues in the game.
We All know those changes wont be made. Survivors will complain that doing gens is to boring so you can't increase the time. They will also shoot down secondary objectives because the more time in the game the greater chance of being killed.
-
@DelsKibara said:
Maybe it's because I've played a ton of Fallout 4, but I don't find the Killer's FOV to be much of an issue for me. That said, I can understand why some people might have motion sickness with the jank FOV that DBD has for both Survivor & Killer (For me it's especially uncomfortable with Survivor because you always feel like you're too close to your character).
I don't think adjustable FOV sliders is the way to go though, even though accessibility options are nice, it would remove a ton of the techs and jukes that Survivors have at their disposal completely if Killers were to be able to freely change their FOV. One of the most coveted perks for Nurse is Shadowborn, and for good reason. And I wouldn't want to think about the Nurse having a free perk slot open because she maxed out her FOV settings rather than using Shadowborn.
Im so surprised you are shooting down something that would benefit killers or slightly hurt survivors no wait im not because thsts all you do.

Bruh you can camp if you want to but don't expect for you to get good BP or any more than 2 kills (which is what happens anyway)
And what gives? Camping isn't exactly exciting or fun, you're just standing there. If you don't wanna play the game properly - as in actually playing instead of sitting there eating cheerios then just don't play.
This Coming from the playerbase that will hide doing emotes to avoid crows for 40 minutes.

@bm33 said:
I play Solo more than SWF. When I'm playing SWF I do so much worse than solo because my teammates are either my older brother who doesn't listen because I'm the younger sibling and/or my nephew who doesn't listen because he's a teen. More often than not they get me killed, and fairly early on in the match - especially the nephew, he loves sandbagging. They like to do the opposite or ignore anything I say and won't give updates like when a killer has stopped chasing them. If I'm running Kindred it's to help me because how bad they are at communication. I can't count the number of times they say they'll be going to grab someone off first hook only to see the poor random go to struggle because my SWF started getting chased by the killer and didn't say anything so I have to try and make it to the person from across the map - I pop Kindred on with them and can see if they are actually going for save before struggle hits. I've had conversations with others that have similar experiences when playing with their SWF. For us the killer is getting an advantage because our SWF is hurting us more than helping. It also explains why during the Q&A they said their stats don't show a significant difference between SWF and Solo survivor - there's plenty of SWF that are not coordinated at all bringing down the SWF stats.
I'm good with giving killers extra BP/rewards for facing an SWF because going against a coordinated one is rough. I'm not OK with giving killers advantages and SWF disadvantages, that's just punishing people for wanting to play with friends - and for stats to be close to solo there's obviously plenty of uncoordinated teams that'll be hurt if forced to have disadvantages.
To Bad then killers get hurt all the because survivors cry for nerfs constantly its your turn to sweat.

@MiniPisa said:
The devs have already mentioned they will be working on a something that will put off camping.
It could be what you've said (sounds pretty fair to me), or it could be something to do with points etc. Either way, they're going to improve the game and make sure camping isn't something you should do unless you really, really don't care.
So The devs will cave in to survivors again whats new with this biased game.
-
@thehmdx said:
I agree with this. Also can you change insidious, it encourages camping, and essentially takes 1 player out of the game. Like if I know my friend is getting insidious camped, i literally ignore them the whole game while they do something else out of game. How is that fun? It's not overpowered, just takes away enjoyment to the point of my friend doesn't even want to play anymore and returned the game.
Only Survivors fun matter
