Since new Ruin I come across killers with way better pressure on gens. Old ruin was run so often that Survivors basically started the match cleansing totems so it'd be cleared off fairly quick. If Old ruin wasn't cleansed immediately I'd just work through. I'd also be less likely to even see the killer because if it wasn't cleansed immediately they'd just hang out by the totem waiting for people to come cleanse it. Now survivors are less likely to bother with totems and get hit more with Devour Hope. Killers move around the map more so I get into way more chases. Also see more load outs since they changed Ruin which causes me to change up my playstyle from match to match. I think new Ruin has made killers become much better at the game.
Well If old ruin was so weak it shouldn't have been nerfed but you survivors love new ruin so it will never come back. To bad killers dont have as much power over survivors perks like you have over ours.

If your concern is gen rush and swf, you should think of how to improve based on the imbalance brought by them but not buffing ruin solely, its not a healthy game/ perk if all the players use the same perk. Just reduce survivor perks/ increase killers perks slot if facing swf, increase generator time/ increase skill check difficulty is an alternative , i dont think 90% killer use ruin is good for the game
So That means ds bt adrenaline are bad for the game because thats all survivors use.

I understand the desire to respond to vitriol with vitriol, but this really doesn't help. Most people playing the game aren't just 'killers' or 'survivors', and making a broad accusation against a significant portion of the player base is counterproductive to making this game better for everyone. I think survivor takes plenty of skill - I happen to think killer takes more depending on the killer you're playing, but that's just my opinion and it doesn't deserve to be treated like it has any clout, whether someone agrees or disagrees.
Try to keep it civil, man! Negativity doesn't help, even when it's directed at trolling.
Im Just tired of them constantly begging for more and more nerfs with skill being one of the main complaints. Of this doesn't require any skill so its to strong nerf it. When killer is already harder. Wheres the skill in decisive strike where is the skill in bt or adrenaline or getting on comms with OoO ? Why should killer powers, perks, addons require all this skill but survivors get the easy path?

While I understand the sentiment, I think this goes too far into the realm of punishing SWF's rather than trying to balance them. I don't think it's reasonable to remove adrenaline, DS, or items in SWF groups and the only logic I can think of behind removing BT seems a little excessive - namely, 'this is a good altruism perk and you can use it better when you're coordinated' - we definitely don't want to remove every perk like that.
We want everyone to have fun: the game depends on SWFs providing content and not feeling like they shouldn't queue together. IMHO, as a solo queue survivor and killer player, I really dislike SWF as a concept... but it's a significant part of what keeps the survivor player base strong.
So By everybody you mean just survivors well have fun when theres like 10 killers left in the game.
-
The survivors dont want to work so it will never come back we cant have strong perks or addon or have of fun. Only survivors should have strong perks and the only new players that matter are new survivors because heaven forbid they have to learn to hit greats or find the totem. They weren't winning every game so they whined and got it nerf.

A killer that knows how skill survivors are and how you constantly beg for nerfs

LOL yes that's exactly it. Has nothing to do with the fact that the situations where either of these events take place are borderline unwinnable for survivors without any requirement of skill or good play from the killer. Nope, not at all.
SMH
Plus it's not like Doc wouldn't be a strong killer if both were changed. Nope, even though people say these situations are rare doing this would completely nerf him into the ground and make him totally unviable.
SMH again
When Any of your perks require any form of skill come talk to me but until then take that skill bs somewhere else.

"Also if he's able to bring you up to tier 3 when the other one is slugged then it's pretty much game over anyway and not exclusive to the doctor."
It is exclusive to him. Against any other killer you can actually make a play to get the person up off the ground and then reset the situation. Against Doc this is impossible because you can't heal the slug.
"Making it possible to pick up downed survivor in tier 3 madness would also enable all the other healing actions thus making tier 3 absolutely worthless in the endgame."
No it wouldn't. It can be made that you can only heal a dying survivor, I don't see why you think that would somehow be impossible from a programming perspective.
" I have multiple times and never went down. And I said already that a static blast doesn't down you. The interrupt doesn't give you regression, and you can run for 2 seconds to prevent the mending timer to go down."
The interrupt will cause your timer to tick for a moment and unless you react instantly (which is impossible human reaction is a quarter of a second AT BEST) you will lose time.
"I would say I roughly fail one madness skillcheck per 3 doctor games. That this one failed skillcheck happens while I'm mending after being unhooked with a BT2 and the killer hit me but didn't tunnel me so I was able to snap and mend, I would say happens at MOST once a month, rounding up. And I blame that case on me, not on the evil madness 3. And I still don't go down in that case, I search for someone to heal me or take the agression to allow others to do gens or prevent someone else to go down with an easier position than me."
First it sounds like you don't play survivor all that often because Doc is super common at high ranks, at least on Xbox. Second, I doubt that you hit every skill check that consistently. I have 3k hours in this game, mostly as survivor, I can hit great skill checks consistently and even Unnerving Overcharge skill checks but it's still not difficult to fail at least 1 Snap Out skill check per game if the Doc is any good at what he does and pressures you. The only way for you to almost never fail a skill check like that is if you run clear across the map and waste 30 seconds just to get to a super duper safe spot before you do it, which means that you are wasting massive amounts of time or the Doc isn't very good. Third, relying on someone to heal you was the ORIGINAL problem with BT the devs sought to fix. That's why Deep Wounds came about because they wanted to have an action you can do WITHOUT the need for another teammate. It's why they added clocks to Freddy so that you can wake up when you are the last survivor and there's no option to fail a skill check.
"So why calling madness a threat? That came from you. Beneath that, Deep Wounds is lethal, you go down from that, it is just too easy to counter to actually call it lethal."
Threat =/= lethal. Madness 3 forces you to waste time before you can perform actions and reveals you position constantly to the killer. It's part of the reason Doc is probably the strongest killer in a 3 gen because he can outright STOP you from repairing. Other killers have to actively protect the gens but Doc doesn't. Deep Wounds is similar, but instead of just blocking actions it threatens you with going into dying if you don't do something about it. It's not meant to down you unless you just fail to do the action. However not having the option to do the action makes it an unfair threat because now you have no choice but to go down. This was the exact problem with old Legion. You just straight up didn't have the option to avoid eating the DW timer and going down. Doc shouldn't get an exception for basically the same thing.
"As I said, if the killer camps a slug and gets rewarded for that -> survivor fail. Just don't do that against a doc without good reason. If 2 survivors left -> yeah, probably easier endgame for doc, but at that point I'd already say well played again."
My point was mainly regarding the last 2 survivors, but killers can force altruism. If it's a situation of 3 survivors and 2 or more gens then all the Doc needs to do is slug the guy near 2 of the 4 gens and protect them, shocking anyone that comes near and blocking them from healing the slug.
"From my point of view I could also ask why survivors need these changes. Because I already repeated that you have plenty possibilities to not go down by that oh so unfair scenario, which takes place maybe once a month. I really think this is not a game breaker at all and that things like that are purely raised by bad survivor play. And therefore I would never vote up to put development time into something that barely touches me"
I've explained why... because it puts them in unfair unwinnable situations. Against a GOOD Doc, they can make you go down from DW timer by pressuring you and using Static Blast or shocking you. It is very game breaking when it happens, maybe not every Doc game but it happens enough that it's a problem.
Again, WHY DOES THE DOC NEED IT? There are more reasons to change it than there are to keep it. Your argument basically boils down to "well it doesn't happen enough" yea neither does a 3 man escape with a key but you wouldn't sit here and tell me keys are fair I'm sure (and no it's not common either, I see key +3 man escapes as survivor or killer maybe once every 10 games where there is a key, most of the time when someone brings a key they are the only one to escape sometimes also a second). Know what else doesn't happen often is a mori spam, yet that was changed because it was stupid WHEN IT WOULD HAPPEN. Just because something is infrequent doesn't automatically make it fair.
Doc does not need either of these things. PERIOD. He is strong enough that they can be changed and it won't hurt him.
I Dont want to work as survivor i want nothing be ease games nerf killer

disabled head on adrenaline borrowed time decisive strike flask lights med kits tool boxes in swf. You can play with your friends and you can abuse comms but thats it.

how about if its dowm to the last 2 and theres a dc its an auto down for the last guy. Survivors have been benefiting from dcs for to long its killers time now.

Killers will cry about anything survivors do if it means they don't have to be better at the game themselves.
And you will defend and unfair advantage that requires no skill. What am i talking about nothing survivors do or have requires skill.
-
no all killers should be basic m1 killers that are slower than dslinger with massive trs and it should take 5 hits to down.
-
Any buff for a killer is op to them. There was a post asking to nerf his reload cranking and his pull when he shoots someone so they have a better chance to break the chain. And another to screw his small tr with MA.
-
good luck with that survivors already complain about iri heads and chainsaws and noed they want insta downs out of the game.
-
Dc penalty should start at 1 hour and dcing should permanently close the hatch that would end the crap
-
I vote for it and if it screws an unhooker over then good. survivors shouldn't have info in the first place. The game should be 4 random players trying to escape the killer while not knowing what the other 3 players are doing working together without communication. This game should have downsides for survivors and your choices should have actions that aren't always good.

This is about 360's and corn fields. Nothing to do with nerfs.
Its about a killer wanting a change and being told yo get good but when the shoe is on the other foot its totally different
-
Wait wait wait wait so its ok for unskilled survivors to demand nerfs for killers and buffs for themselves but when a killer does the same its adapt get good.

Honestly, SOMETHING has to be done about the massive advantage comms gives you. Its power can be the same as if I loaded up cheat engine and had survivor auras visible all game along with gens changing color based on how close they are to complete. The amount of information you can share over comms is like having a pseudo version of almost every info perk available to survivors. This includes things like spine chill, kindred, bond, empathy, after-care, alert, better together, dark sense, detective's hunch, buckle-up, wake up, small game, and object of obsession. For some of these things comms are stronger than them, for others comms are weaker, but in the end it's at least a pseudo version of 13 perks for each swf player. It's crazy strong.
You Cant call out the obvious unfair advantage you will get a warning from a mod. You will also be told that thats how the was always intended to be played. Upsetting survivors is against the rules disagreeing with them is also against the rules and standing up for yourself when the insult you is also against the rules.

So you're saying if I, as a killer, use a third party program that tells me where the survivors are at any given time and how progressed any given generators are then it's not cheating? Because that's the information SWF has and shares with each other.
I watched a twitch stream of 4 swf players and hearing "Killer is on me at shack" "Gen at [area] is 70% killer is on me now" "Found their hex, it's at [location] but killer is after me" "Killer left hook heading towards [area], I'm safe to unhook, do a gen elsewhere" "Killer's got me here, come for flashlight save at [area]" etc.
Since it's not cheating for survivors to all have that information due to a third party program, it wouldn't be cheating for Killer to have something similar, right? Or are we showing a double standard here?
Careful now i said the same thing and got scolded by a mod. I was what you described was not cheating and swf was always intended in the game. If you keep it up you could be close to a banning they dont like it when you call out the obvious unfair advantage it upsets customers.
-
survivors dont need aura reading its to much info. This game shouldn't have info for survivors at all . Im tired of the same perks but they should be nerfed not other perks buffed.

You mention perks in your complaints of swf, that's an issue with the perks, not the team using them. If there are mechanics that can be abused, then the perk needs adjusting. Eg OoO being that obnoxious with a swf calls for a perk adjustment, not a swf change.
And if you're vsing a 4-man and are chasing one survivor for long, then you will lose, simply because being led around tiles and not winning mindgames, movement manipulations and not forcing areas to become unsafe etc then you will be punishment for your lack of pressure.
I played a Clown match the other day vs a 4-man swf. It was the most fun i've had in a long time. We both made amazing plays and it was very close match. I lost ultimately, but mainly because I made a mistake with 1 gen left by assuming a gen that i hadn't been near in about 30 seconds was the focus and it wasn't, meaning I wasted time. Nothing about that team of really good loopers and organised teamplay felt unbeatable. If anything, I felt like I had a chance, right up until the end when I messed up. But that's what swf most commonly is - good players being highly interactive with the killer. What's not fun about that? There are certain mechanics which can feel dull to vs. But those mechanics are fine when used by solo players. Swf isn't the issue. The function of a mechanic that has broken aspects to it when used a certain way is. I sent all of them a gg complimenting the gameplay and got responses praising my play as well as thanking me for a great match. They even said that I kept up with them really well too. I mean, that's what dbd can be if the dull and obnoxious functions aren't abused like they can be. Also, to add, they had Unbreakable, DS and the likes. They did at one point abuse the ds locker function, but they did it in a way that completely outplayed me (I was chasing Claudette, and in order to slow my momentum and pressure of downing her where she was, Dwight fast entered a locker while LOS was blocked and I assumed it was a misplay by Claudette only to eat DS and lose my pressure instantly. That was an incredible play, but it did abuse a bad function of DS.) However, it didn't rob the fun away from me. Interaction between the two roles is the most fun thing in dbd. The boring thing to vs is the lazy builds and lazy chases. Eg PGTW, Sloppy, OoO, camping, tunneling, slugging, DS abusing by getting off hook and instantly jumping in a locker near to a gen that is almost done forcing the stun and momentum loss etc thay sort of negative gameplay. Why complain about a challenge vs good survivors, when you could be complaining about the lack of effort and interaction certain perks and playstyles offer to the gameplay? Immersion on the survivor side and slugging & camping on the killer side is the real issue with dbd. And the perks that add to those issues need to be addressed too.
You Played great they got on comms and abused them because they couldn't play how the game was ment to be played. People can play with their friends but they shouldn't be allowed to abuse comms.
-
I say no. Survivors dont need more bs second chance crutch perks you have to many as is.
-
forget it greedy selfish survivors will defend their 60 seconds of god mode to the death because only their fun matters and their perks dont have to be fair.
-
flamer throwers dont work like that it should be instant jet of flame. And it should insta down because it a freaking flame thrower.
-
I think your ideas are great dont listen to these survivors who want killers to be weak and useless.
-
No no changes necessary

Sounds like you need to buy better internet then because your selfish dcs hurt other players. And i called them selfish because you know your connection is crap but you insist on playing an online game knowing full well you are screwing over other players.

No but the main reason people dislike this hide and seek issue is because the killer is going around doing nothing right?
Well, when you're being face camped and no one can help you then the killer has literally wasted your time because you will die on your first hook, not doing any objectives or playing. Not to mention you may have sat there for 10-20 minutes waiting for a lobby just to be killed off like this.
So, in that respect they are comparable. At least with this post's issue you're still going to get a decent amount of points.
With Camping you have the ability to leave by dying on hook so you can get to another match faster and if you are tunneled you will definitely get to setup another match but you holding me hostage leaves me stuck unless i dc then i have to take a penalty they are no where near the same. And yes that was a big run on sentence.

Well if you want these types of players to get 0 points... then I guess camping and tunnelling killers should get the same treatment?
Dont even compare the 2 camping and tunneling aren't against the rules holding the game hostage is. Camping and tunneling also requires playing the game so even if it sucks on the survivors end they can at least get the next game.

If it gets down to the last 2 survivors and they want to screw around wasting the killers time then they should automatically be killed by the entity and get 0 bps.

-
This is the proof of how selfish and entitled survivors are they constantly cry for nerfs for killers but will defend their overpowered bs to the death.

It is bs because its letting you work on gens for a whole minute untouched. If i found another survivor chased them downed them a d hooked them then found you by chance i shouldn't be punished.

I don't know if I should humour talking to you. It's clear you don't want to have any sort of discussion and your mind is set with your opinion. Which is wrong by the way, anyone who thinks SWF is a crutch is someone who isn't an experienced killer.
I'll just head off here and now, if you want to continue to reply to me, go ahead. I just won't be responding back, because you're not worth my time, nor anyone elses if you don't want to actually have a discussion.

Yes... It was....
Being able to DS a killer whenever you wanted - aka without being hooked yet, ez escape vs only 1 minute after unhooked is a huge difference.
It is completely 100% balanced NOW. You wanna target the unhooked person instead of finding someone else, then pay the price.
And pay the price after finding, chasing, downing, and hooking somebody else. You also pay the price during endgame when you played fair all game but they still get a free escape because they can crawl to the gates since you cant pick them up. Its bs

Making the effect of your own perk dependent on what the other survivors do, is a bad idea. If there is one bad survivor in the team, DS would become worthless. And in solo queue, there is always this one survivor 😂
Thats how teams work you cant just take all the good and discard the bad. If your teammates suck to bad killer shouldn't be punished for that.

Comms are not cheats.
I've beaten much more SWF squads than I've lost to them.
The game wasnt-isnt designed for comms so it is cheating l. And even if you refuse to think it is cheating its still the biggest crutch in the game. You cant talk crap about people who used old ruin and ingore comms.
